Donut Be Shy (Men of Lakeview) by F.G. Adams – Review by Jenni Bishop

Donut Be Shy (Men of Lakeview)Donut Be Shy by F.G. Adams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Donut Be Shy (Men of Lakeview) by F.G. Adams is one sweet and tasty romance novella and a very quick read that can be read in one go. I really enjoyed these characters and would love to have it as a longer story. The characters are well written and made me laugh and I fell in love with Amy and Tanner and the explosive chemistry between them. If only they could own up to what they both want and realise that not everything is as it seems. I enjoy reading F.G’s work it is always quirky and fun.

Don’t miss out this lovely story.

Donut Be Shy is a Men of Lakeview story by F.G Adams. It is a sweet, sexy, fun, light-hearted novella- and is a super quick, funny and spicy story that you could easily finish before bed. Ms. Adams is on my ‘must read’ list and I was interested to see something a little different from her. I loved Tanner and Amy, they are great characters and very easy to like and root for. Tanner is sexy and strong- he’s determined to win Amy over and I admire how persistent he was, especially since Amy wasn’t making things easy for him. I think Amy and I would be great friends.
I recommend this delightful book to anyone wanting a quick, sweet, romantic and sexy read. It won’t disappoint!

Thank you, Ms. Adams!

Donut Be Shy (Men of Lakeview) by F.G. Adams – Review by Jana Teppih

Donut Be Shy (Men of Lakeview)Donut Be Shy by F.G. Adams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Donut Be Shy by F.G. Adams is a novella in her Men of Lakeview series AND it has been written for the Donut Collection (indeed). I have read every single book and novella in the series as I got hooked on it from the first book on! It goes a bit weird (with the order) but never mind as it is so good that you do not care and simply crave for the next one! The only ‘complaint’ I have is that I wish it had been a full length novel as I would have liked more but I always want more….
So Donut Be Shy is gives us Amy Young and Tanner “Moose” Mason’s story! They both are part of the Lakeview gang – Tanner is part of the Trident Security and brother in arms to all the guys that are married to the Blackwood women! I mean they meet on the beach of Keagan and Jo’s beach house (the ones who have read the series know what I mean!)!
It is the story of how lack of communication can really mess up a potential relationship and how our insecurities (women, listen up!!) can hinder us to find love! It is also a story of friendship and encouragement and persistence and hope! And of course, let’s not forget about the delicious desserts – I wish I could have a bakery…yeah…make yourself a cup of tea and pick up a pastry and enjoy couple of hours with Amy and Tanner and I promise you, you will want to read the other stories in the Lakeview series as well!

Donut Be Shy (Men of Lakeview) by F.G. Adams – Review by Sheri Schrader

Donut Be Shy (Men of Lakeview)Donut Be Shy by F.G. Adams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Donut Be Shy by F.G. Adams is a fun, flirty romance. I thought the title was intriguing and cute and was pleasantly surprised to find that I also have enjoyed other books by the author. Her Men of Lakeview series has been a getaway from life series that I have been enjoying off and on. This is the story of Amy and Tanner. The two characters have great chemistry but have a bit of a miscommunication problem. The problem is relatable and the two banter back and forth in a playful manner. This can be read as a standalone but does have appearances of characters from other books. I really like Amy and Tanner aka Moose. The book is a quick, fun read to get away from everyday life. I will be on the lookout for more from F.G. Adams in the future.

Michael: A Scrooged Christmas by F.G. Adams is heart warming festive quick read. Load up on the eggnog and settle back as you will not be disappointed with what F.G. has written. This is a standalone book but several of the characters mentioned in this book are from the This is Life series.

Michael Barnes has been wallowing in his misfortune and christmas is not on this years calendar. But when someone literally knocks into him, things just may change.

Holly loves Christmas and plans on restoring the festive spirit back to the one she has loved since forever.

Fox’s Awakening (Enchanted Immortals #2) by F.G. Adams – Review by Jenni Bishop

Fox's Awakening (Enchanted Immortals #2)Fox’s Awakening by F.G. Adams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fox’s Awakening is the second book in the Enchanted Immortals series by F.G. Adams and is a paranormal romance it can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading Aldin’s Wish first to give you a better understanding of the story. This book is also full of paranormal creatures and continues where the first book left off and is just as fast paced.

Brenton is an FBI agent but also a Hunter, yet he is also much more, much more than he will ever know. Years earlier he was saved by someone he now calls family and friend. It is with that same friend that he now finds himself in the middle of something he does not fully understand. There is change coming, something within, is he crazy or could there be more?

Finally two become one and two become one once again. This has been foretold. Will it be enough to save the one your love, your beloved?

This book is action packed and full of the unknown. This is just as good a read as the first, I can not wait to read the next in the series.

Aldin’s Wish (Enchanted Immortals, #1) by F.G. Adams – Review by Jenni Bishop

Aldin's Wish (Enchanted Immortals, #1)Aldin’s Wish by F.G. Adams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Aldin’s Wish is the first book in the Enchanted Immortals series by F.G. Adams and is a paranormal romance that is full of Vampires and Shifters and much more. I really enjoyed the fast paced storyline, the characters and the world that FG has created.

If you were asked what your greatest desires were, what would be the price you are willing to pay?

Aldin has lived his life protecting his family, one that will never know him, one that will never see him, one that he will never be able to have for himself. Even though he has it all, something is missing, he is merely existing. That is until he is called to ensure his family’s latest addition is safe.

Wren is a pediatrician and loves her work delivering babies but one night and she feels there is more to the shadows, her sixth sense has never let her down but right at this moment she has much more she needs to focus on.

The Enchanted Immortals have been waging a war against one of their own for many many centuries and now due to her curiosity Wren finds herself smack dab in the middle of it.

Lukas (This is Our Life Series #4) by F.G. Adams – Review by Sheri Schrader

Lukas (This is Our Life Series #4)Lukas by F.G. Adams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lukas by F.G. Adams is the fourth and final book in the This is Our Life series. This can be read as a standalone book and enjoyed. I have read the other books in the series and have enjoyed watching the characters featured in their own stories but also as well as background characters in the other stories. This book follows the story of Lukas Rogers and Sage Blackwood. The two met many years ago, when Sage was in the Peace Corps and Lukas was serving in the military. The two lose touch after his unit is ambushed but later come across each other while he is working for Trident Security. He has always felt a connection to Sage not counting the sexual tension between the two of them. Sage does not want to have to rely on anyone and does not want to face her feelings for Lukas. She wants to believe that he is only good as a friend with benefits.
I enjoyed this book as much as the others in the series. Each has focused on a different couple that must conquer their personal demons as well as something that is occurring in their lives. In this book, we see Sage’s background coming back to haunt her. Her time in Dubai with the Peace Corps is brought back into her life with some threats that are coming through. Lukas wants to be hers in every sense of the world. He will do anything to protect the woman he loves. Even though this series is completed I will be look for more from F.G. Adams to read in the future.

Lukas (This is Our Life Series #4) by F.G. Adams – Review by Jenni Bishop

Lukas (This is Our Life Series #4)Lukas by F.G. Adams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lukas is the fourth book in the This is Our Life series by FG Adams and it is just as good as the others. It can be read as stand alone but I encourage you to read them in order to feel the relationships of these wonderful Alpha military men, who will set your heart pumping, with their loyalty and love for their family. FG writes a great tale and this story, just the same as the others has twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat but you will be swept away with want for these wonderful characters of the Trident Security and you will be just as affected by Grandma Matilda. With her in your corner, the sky’s the limits.

Lukas Rogers has left the military life but is down and out on his luck, he is a broken man with nowhere to go but further down, or so he thinks. Masking his feelings has become his game but all he needs is one person and that person likes to run and hide. It’s time to get his head in the game, sort himself out and get the woman to come to her senses. Lukas is a member of Trident Security where he works with his brothers at arms, his family and they will let nothing come between them and the ones they love.

Sage Blackwood is a sassy, independent and one stubborn woman. She was in Afghanistan but had to return home where she thought she was safe but little by little something or someone is out to cause her pain. Why? she doesn’t know. Who? She doesn’t know. Will she survive the threats? Will she break down her walls and let help in? Will she break down her walls and let love in? With being face to face with danger will she learns just what is important?

Do yourselves a favour and grab a copy of this series. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Oliver (This is Our Life Series #3) by F.G. Adams – Review by Jenni Bishop

Oliver (This is Our Life Series #3)Oliver by F.G. Adams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oliver Bishop knows the overwhelming feeling of loss and grief. Along with his brothers in arms he has dealt with the harsh realities of war, of never knowing where or who the enemy are. But he has survived and has returned to help those who need it by working with those same brothers in a security firm. One look at a photograph of a young girl and he knew he had to take the mission and had to be the one to find her and her beautiful daughter. After many many months of tracking them all over the states and a few close calls, he is closing in. He is going to find them and bring them home whether or not she wants to be found. He will not walk away until they are safely in his care and brought home to their family.

Fallyn Blackwood never had a good home life with her father who was a brutal and inflicted pain and suffering. Fallyn was a young girl who got caught up in something that she never should have gone through. One night that tainted her and changed her life forever and has made her run, never staying in one place too long. She will do anything to save her daughter the anguish and brutality at the hands of powerful evil. Once again she finds herself in another town hiding away and starting over.

Oliver has finally found them but getting close is going to be harder than he thought. Fallyn trusts in no one except herself and her daughter. She is not willing to let this stranger help her being saved is not what she wants. Running is the one thing she knows best.

Will Oliver convince Fallyn to trust him? Will Fallyn finally find peace and comfort? Will the evil finally catch up to her and her daughter?

This is book is the third book in the series and the story just gets better although it will break your heart. Both characters have had so much pain and suffering it is hard not to feel for them. Definitely one you will not be able to put down.
