I loved this anthology. This is a collection of eight authors who put together eight romance stories that will pull at your heart strings. I found some of my favorite authors and also a couple of new authors. One of my favorites is Two Hearts Truce. This is a story of learning to trust again once a heart has been broken and being able to move forward. Another one of my favorites is Bayou Cottage. This is a story about second chances. What does fate have in store for Maggie. There is something for everyone in this book and I know you will find a favorite or two too. This is a must read anthology written by some awesome authors.

Hero High: Heartbreak Rebellion by Mina Chara is the second book in the Hero High Collections. This is a brilliant collection of books that will grab your attention and simply not let go. This is books 4-6 in the series so I would definitely recommend reading the others ones first. I think the author has done an amazing job of creating such a strong and interesting series. Each of the books are great in their own right, resulting in an overall amazing series. The characters are all so well written and you really do engage with them. It is so easy to picture them all as if you are right their alongside them. Each of the stories in these books kept me interested for different reasons. They are clearly part of the same series but all have a slightly different feel about them. It helped to keep them separate in my mind while also keeping them cohesive and flowing well. This is a brilliant series and if you are a fan of this genre I would high recommend them!

This is book 3 in the Scope of Practice series and its just as good as the first two.
It carries on with the story of Val and the ladies from her trauma group. Now Val is married to Tim and she has her son Gabe in her life with her group of friends her life seems perfect. Until one early morning phone call changes all that and turns her world upside down.
Now feeling strong enough she also decides it is now time to hold Dr Chad Ross accountable for his actions against her and feels with her support network she has the strength to now do that.
However when her support network starts to get smaller will Val stick with the original plan to get justice the normal and right way or will she be tempted to take matters into her own hands.
The book is a very emotional story which deals with historical abuse and dealing with grief. It is really well written and the action will keep you gripped all the way through.

Deadly Weapon by Mark Nolan is the fifth book in the Jake Wolfe series. This book can be read as a standalone although I would recommend reading it in order as it follows the same character throughout and I feel you would miss of a lot of the previous development. I found this book to be a really intense and thrilling story to read. I instantly got straight back into the character of Jake, almost like I had gone from one book straight into the next. Their new mission is one that is scarily close to home right now but for me I think that just made it all the better. You couldn’t help but draw parallels between the 2. But the credit really does have to go to the author for creating a book that feels so real that it is like you are there with Jake. This series really is a fantastic one to read. Each book just gets better and better and I am always excited to pick up the next book. I would definitely highly recommend not just this book but the series as a whole!

Drifting, Falling: Diary of a Call Girl Suicide, by A.J Ullman was unlike any book I’ve read before. The story is of Ripley, a troubled girl who has suffered through several traumas that led to the life she has now. All she wants is to feel in control, and this story depicts the planning of her own death. Ripley is smart and courageous, her childhood dreams of being an astronaut fills her mind and she wishes for a life a million miles away from the one she’s living. Planning her death gives Ripley the element of control she longs for. Ripley is a relatable character, perhaps not because of her traumas or current lifestyle, but because underneath it all she is a funny girl, layered with sarcasm, witty remarks and vulnerability. I just wanted her to find help, and to take control of her life in a different way, by living her dreams. No spoilers here, but as expected there are twists and turns throughout this story that will keep you guessing and turning the pages.

Rescued by Valan by Jennifer SIddoway is the second book in the Pirates of Barra: Highland Raiders series. This is a well written and exciting book with just the right amount of romance to it. This book can be read as a standalone. Overall I have to say I definitely enjoyed this book. I liked the clear difference in the main characters: the sweet innocence of Bridget and the experience and rawness of Valan. Even though on paper they wouldn’t work at all the author did a good job of them complimenting each other. The story I found to be engaging and knew how to keep me interested. It definitely felt exciting to read although there were a few times where it felt like it could have done with just a bit more depth. However if you want something that you can lose yourself in for a few hours and have a great time then you should read this book.

Accepted by Lisa Wood is the second book in the Rhodes Family series. I would recommend reading these books in order as there are small details that will add to your reading experience for sure! This book was a brilliant addition to the series and easily my favourite out of the 2. I loved the characters and the connection they had between them all. It felt so real right from the moment you started reading about them. I thought the author did a great job of building this story up. The storyline felt like it had a natural progression about it which made for such a smooth reading experience. So far this series has been a great one to read and I am looking forward to seeing what the next book has in store.

Secure Again by R.L. Dunn is the second book in the Chase Security series. This book is a fast paced book that is full of twists and turns the whole way through. It has you on the edge of your seat wanting to find out what is going to happen. The characters are such strong characters that for me they really carried this book. I loved the feisty and strong side you get to see of them and how well that worked with their connection. The story itself felt exciting and like the author really knew how to keep you guessing. It meant that I did struggle to put it down once I had started reading it and finished it in one sitting. This is a great addition to the series I am looking forward to seeing what is next.

I have to say when I first read the synopsis for this book I was intrigued, sci-fi/dystopian stories aren’t really my usual go to stories but I’ve read a few lately so I thought I would give this one a go and I really enjoyed it overall! I thought the writing was great, I was drawn in to the story quite quickly and I thought the authors writing was creative and it captured my imagination. I really liked Alina, I thought that she was a really relatable character, and I especially think young adults/teenagers would find that connection with her too. I enjoyed reading about her journey and seeing her grow as a person over the story. A really great read and I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series!
It Comes From Within by Naomi Valkyrie is the second book in the House Valdis series. This is an incredible book that utterly captivated me from the word go. I love reading about Xenobia. She is such a wonderful character that for me really makes the whole story come alive. I can imagine her so easily and it really feels like I am right there with her. I would recommend reading this series in order so you can fully understand what is going on although also because they are such fantastic books. The author has written brilliantly original books that are so well developed and thought out that you won’t be able to stop reading them once you have started. There is a bit of everything in there so it really tantalises all of the sense. I absolutely loved this book from start to finish and I am already eagerly awaiting to see what might be next – in the meantime I might have to re-read the whole series again.

This was an amazing read! There was so much going on that I was completely glued to the story from beginning to end. The story was really well written, it had a fast pace to it – I honestly loved every minute of it. The characters Al and Loyda were really great to read about, they had so much chemistry between them. There were some great twists in the plot and this definitely helped keep my attention the whole way through. Although the story is on the shorter side there is absolutely nothing missing at all. This is the second book that I have read by this author and my favourite so far! I am definitely going to be reading more from her in the future!!!

Devil’s Claw by Valerie Davisson is the third book in the Logan McKenna Mystery/Thriller series. This book can be read as a standalone although it follows the same character so you might want to read the previous 2 first to get the overall build up. This book is a great addition to the series and just as fast paced and exciting as the other two. The story is complex and interesting and you are drawn into it from the very beginning. I found myself flying through the book, desperate to find out what was going on and what was going to happen. I loved getting back into the character of Logan. It is always so easy to become engaged with this character again which I think is partly why this series is such a good one. This book has left me just wanting more of them and I cannot wait to see what else is to come.

I have loved all the books in this series. I highly suggest reading all of them as they are that awesome. This book is no different, I loved reading it. This author writes with such detail that it makes you feel as if you are right there with the characters. I had no problems connecting with them as they made the story come alive. I loved seeing previous characters and what they are up to. In this book we get to see Martin’s story. You will have to read this story to see what happens when he goes on a motorbike road trip with his uncle Conor. It could just be an adventure they will not soon forget. Strong characters that make the story easy to read and entertaining. They made the story pop. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This is the fourth book in this series. I think this series just keeps getting better and better with every book. I enjoyed how well written this story is. The characters bring the story to life with the mystery and action. I found this book to be engaging and fast paced. I had no problems connecting with the character as they kept me turning pages. In this story Karina is back with another mystery. She gets the opportunity to go to Mexico for some fun and drop a package off. But things don’t go as planned for the drop off. What happens next you will want to read this book. I really enjoyed the characters, they are strong and made me feel as if I was right with them. They made the story for me. I highly recommend this book.

The Perfect Outcast by Melissa O. Hansen is a young adult story set in a dystopian world that is different to any world you have experienced. This is an interesting story that will really get you thinking and re-evaluate what you class as “perfect”. The description of this book caught my eye immediately. I knew I wanted to know more about this world and the supposedly imperfect Alina. From the moment I started reading I was transported into a world where things couldn’t be more different than we experience ourselves day to day. As the story progresses you are really drawn into examining the perspective of perfect. The fact that it is done in the way the author has written it as well just makes it all the better. Although a lot of the basic themes of the book aren’t unique I thought the overall premise and the way it was written definitely was! This was a fantastic book and one I thoroughly enjoyed.
I love historical romance but not usually during this time period but when I read the synopsis for this book I decided to give it a go and I really enjoyed it. I have read books by this author previously and I really like her detailed writing style, she really brings her stories to life through her imaginative writing. I can always easily imagine what I am reading and I think that it really helps when reading historical stories. The characters were probably younger than I usually read about but their story was heart-warming to read about. Overall an enjoyable coming of age story, one that I really enjoyed and would recommend. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Road Tripped: Satan’s Devils MC Utah #1 by Manda Mellett 4 Stars!!!!
Once again I am delving into the world of the Satan’s Devils MC in a new location of Utah. I must say that I was not disappointed and was absolutely hooked. I love how the author is able to entwine the characters and all the chapters. The characters really come to life and I felt as though I was right there with them right in the thick of it.
The chemistry between Road and Swift is really great. The drama is entwined with the romance and the whole book just flows from cover to cover. I like how the author is able to draw out the story and there is intense moments and that really adds to the whole drama that plays out during the book. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future and this series.
Deadly Weapon is the adrenaline-charged fifth book in the Jake Wolfe seriesby Mark Nolan. I just can’t get enough of this series- and I don’t think I will ever tire of following Jake and Cody on one of their exciting ‘adventures’- so I hope Mark Nolan has got a well-spring of storyline ideas firing up his imagination, to ensure we keep getting new instalments of Jake Wolfe for many years to come. No pressure, Mr. Nolan. As this story’s title suggests, Jake and Cody are thrust in a race against time to prevent a deadly weapon of mass destruction from being deployed. They will need to use all their skills, as well as work with others, in order to save billions of lives. So as you can imagine, this proved to be quite a thrilling and action-packed read- with drama, danger, adventure, mystery, edge-of-your-seat tension, twists & turns, assassins, a power hungry madman, hidden agendas, secret organisations, violence, murder, gun fights, explosions, and so much more. I was pulled in right from the beginning, reading the entire book in one sitting- just so I could find out how everything plays out in the end. As with the previous books, this story is told from multiple POV’s- giving me a fuller perspective of what was happening. This allowed me to have a much richer reading experience, because I had so much more information to work with. Again, as with all the books in this series, the characters are truly fantastic- they are so well developed, crafted into fully-realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. As expected, I especially love how incredibly detailed and developed Cody’s personality is, too- it’s this attention to detail that really sets this book/series apart from others in the same genre! The story can definitely be read as a standalone- but as there are recurring characters, as well as important details which have helped to forge the characters, as well as containing backstory details- which really help to build a bigger picture and knowing what has happened previously, and how much Jake and Cody have been through together- would give you a far richer reading experience of this story. I could go on and on about every little detail of this fantastic book- but instead I will sign off here so you can grab yourself a copy and dive in asap- highly recommended! I can’t wait to see what Jake and Cody get up to next in “Key West Dead” (Book Six)!

Just One Song is the 2nd book in the Just One series by Lynn Stevens. Each book can be read as a standalone and contains one complete story. I had not read the first book in this series Just One Summer and did not feel that I was missing any important information. This is the first time that I have read any of this author’s work and I’m glad I chose to take a chance on a new author to me as I really enjoyed this book very much. Hero of the book is Dylan Walker, son of famous singer Hank Walker and our heroine is Cami Harris who has been chosen as one of the back-up singers for his dad’s band for the summer. I really enjoyed reading Cami and Dylan’s story. I loved watching their friendship grow and then them struggling with their growing feelings for each other. Both are great characters who are very believable and likeable, unlike Dylan’s father Hank who is a very nasty character. I always say that one of the things that makes a good author for me, is the ability to make me really hate the bad guy and believe me, I HATED Hank. It’s also very much a coming of age story for Cami. Her dream is to become a singer but that would mean moving away and with things being so difficult at home, she’s very confused as to how she can live her dream but also give her family the support they need. She’s an amazing character just wants to do the right thing for everyone around her. I really enjoyed reading her story.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked up Remember My Name by Laurencia Hoffman, but I knew I wanted to read it after seeing the cover and a few teasers. This is a new author to me but I will be back to see what else she has available in the very near future. This book really took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions as I read the story of Shane Coulter. He is dealing with a lot right now and has some secrets that have shaped him into who he is today. The journey that he takes with his first love Callan is something that will stick with you long after reading. I will say this being a MM romance is usually a genre that I tend to critique harder because I love a good solid read with MM romance, it just seems to be something that can turn gimmicky at times. I didn’t have any issue with this in Remember My Name. It read very poignantly that this is a topic dear to the author and she put her all into writing a realistic and believable read. I was enthralled from the very first page until the last and I am sure anyone else who is a fan of MM romance will love it just as much as I did.

Road Tripped is the first book in the Satan’s Devils Utah chapter written by Manda Mellett. I have really enjoyed reading Ms. Mellett’s MC series and I have read quit a few of them. The characters are strongly written and I loved this Utah chapter with their quirkiness and the way it played off each other. The plot was awesome with a few twists and turns and some secrecy. Road has had dreams and now they will not come true due to another rider’s misjudgment, and his trial bike competition days were over. One split second and something that wasn’t your fault, stops you from participating in your chosen sport just when you are nearing the top? He was angry and he knew and nobody understand yes, he could still ride a bike but he could not ride in competitions. Now his president asked him to go visit another chapter and see what is up with them yes, they are nice enough but his president thinks there is something fishy going on in the Utah chapter. The road should help him clear his head when he gets their he finds things you would never imagine. Will Road get the answers for Drummer? Will he be-able to keep Utah’s secrets and go against his president and lie? Will Drummer understand when everything comes out or will he kick the Utah chapter out. Lynn has done a fantastic job drawing me into the pages and keeping me in the flow of her writing. She does a fabulous job with her character build-up and making the story easy to read. I was so into following Cami’s character throughout the pages that are filled with romance and emotions like many young adult books do. But not all are able to keep you engaged and wanting to read more. I look forward to reading the first book in the series as well as this one again 🙂

Just One Song was a really enjoyable read. I haven’t read anything by this author previously and I enjoyed her writing style. The pace and flow of the story was great and I really like the characters. They were relatable and I connected with them easily. I really liked Cami, she seemed like a genuinely nice person, she had a lovely relationship with her family and I really liked her together with Dylan, I definitely didn’t guess what he was holding back! They were so sweet together and I was definitely rooting them the whole way through. Although this is the second book in the series it’s easily read as a standalone – I would definitely love to read the first book now and I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

Build-A-Book Workshop (The Literary Handyman 2) by Danielle, Ackley-McPhail is an introductory book for folks that are wanting to go into self-publishing. This is a great book that teaches you about the layout process for a book. For warning, this isn’t a manual on how to create a book. I found this book very informative and interesting. I always enjoy expanding my knowledge this was a good choice.

Manda Mellet has gone and done it again, and has written another masterpiece! As with every book I’ve read from Manda, I was absolutely hooked from the first page of this book, clear through to the end! Manda has truly outdone herself with this one, Road Tripped is an absolute emotional roller coaster with so many twists and turns you won’t know what hit you! This author’s work is amazing, and i recommend it to everyone, even if you haven’t read any MC books before. I hadn’t read this genre before i picked up one of Manda’s book, but this author is extremely talented and i cannot wait to get my hands on another one of her books!

Manda Has done it again folks! written another great MC book. I wasn’t expecting what happened but I liked it. Manda has a fascinating way of gripping you into her pages over and over again. I enjoy the flow of her stories and the way she builds up her characters is truly great. I really was stuck to the pages with this book. If you’re looking for a great read you’ve found it!

I’ll See You Again is the 4th book in the Reigning Hearts series by K.G. Fletcher. Each book is written as a standalone although sometimes characters from previous books do make an appearance. I first became a fan of K.G. Fletcher when I read the Southern Promises series, which I highly recommend too. In this book we have the story of Nicky Sinclair, friend of Fiona and Chris from the previous book in the series, who runs a wedding planning business. The hero of the story is Scottish award winning musician Reid MacPherson (Mac). As a fellow Scot, although from Glasgow, I loved that K.G. Fletcher used many Scottish words in this book. I have to applaud her and thank her for making me laugh so much when used the word ‘bawbag’. Believe me this is not a term of endearment. A ‘baw’ is a ball so bawbag is literally ballbag ie scrotum, as the author tells us in the book. For a Scot to read this term being used is just so hilarious. – yes we are amused by the silliest little things! But with all the hilarity there is also tragedy and heartbreak and this book, as with all the others in this series, left me in severe need of tissues. K.G. Fletcher just knows exactly how to bring out every emotion in you and it’s one of the reasons that I love her work so much. That, and her amazing ability to write such wonderful characters that you can’t help but fall head over heels in love with. I would definitely give this book more than 5 stars if I was allowed to!

Well folks, No surprise here another great book. The other still has it with the character buildup and easy to read flow throughout the book. She’s done a wonderful job with gripping you on to her pages and not letting you go until the end where she leaves you wanting more! I’ve enjoyed this series so far can’t wait to get my hands on another book!

Just One Song is the second book in the Just One Series by Lynn Stevens. I pretty much devoured this book in one sitting , once I started I couldn’t put it down till I finished. This is Cami’s story, she has big dreams of becoming a musical superstar. When a once in a lifetime opportunity presents itself, this is her chance to shine. She finds herself working with Hank’s son Dylan. These two grow closer but will his secret ruin things before it even starts? What does the future look like? Find out what happens next in this must read. I highly recommend reading I look forward to reading more from this Author.
