Resisting the Rancher (The Hills of Texas Book 2) by Kadie Scott – Review by Jana Teppih

Resisting the Rancher (Hills of Texas, #2)Resisting the Rancher by Kadie Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Resisting the Rancher is the second book in Kadie Scott’s Hills of Texas series. I do not know how I missed the first book so now I need to go back and read that one as well! The stories can be read as standalones but obviously as it is a series of the Hills’ siblings then you will end up wanting to read every single one of them (and there are four out so Yeehaw here comes a weekend spent in Texas!)
Resisting the Rancher is the story of Williams “Will” Hills and Ruth “Rusty” Walker – a cowboy rancher who provides stock to rodeo circuit and a top-level barrel racer who is the daughter of a renown rancher who is a major stock provider as well … the sparks fly, the chemistry is through the roof and then there is the baggage that this hard headed accomplished woman has and we are pulled along a ride of a life time, in Texas style!
Come along and learn first-hand if Rusty will learn to trust and a marriage that started off as a convenience will blossom into something more …

Tangles by Sharleen Scott – Review by Jana Teppih

TanglesTangles by Sharleen Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tangles is a heart breaking story by Sharleen Scott. I had read her Caught series before picking up Tangles and even though the subject matter is so different, still you could feel the deep love for human relationships that the writer has and that I fell in love with when reading the Caught series.
The writer has tackled a sensitive subject matter with Tangles and what makes it even more remarkable and person is the fact that she wrote it while her own family was trying to come to terms and find their way with the diagnoses of Alzheimer themselves.
Tangles gives us the story of Logan McKinnon and his mother Louis who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s when she was in her late sixties… The journey that Logan gets on, the loss of his father who took care of his mother for years before he passes, the way how “the plaques and tangles win …”
Logan finds his mother’s secret journals and that takes him on another journey that shakes him to his core and he needs to find his way to how to reconcile what he discovers and what he has known all his life AND he has no one to ask his questions as his dad is gone and his mother is also … gone … as she used to be …
I know that you will not regret picking up Tangles, simply be prepared to having your heart strings pulled so hard that you need a box of tissues at hand!

Claimed (The Torzial Affair Book 3) by Via Mari – Review by Jana Teppih

CLAIMED (The Torzial Affair Book 3)CLAIMED by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Claimed is the third book in Via Mari’s Torzial Affair series! You absolutely need to read the series in the order as the third book picks up where the second one left off! I also recommend that you read first the main series of Prestian series that the Torzial Affair is a spin off of as it helps you to understand the dynamics and who is who!
Jenny walked away free from the court, from the crime she was accused of and she did not commit. Yet, the past is not done with her as she knows too much and the Mob does not let one go … alive … Brian keeps throwing everything he has into ensuring that the nightmare is over … will they succeed?
I love the twists and turns and I love how Brian helps Jenny to live her fantasies, the trust and the passion and … you will not be able to put the book down, I promise! Welcome along Jenny and Brian’s journey!

A Perfect Fit by Zoe Lee – Review by Jana Teppih

A Perfect FitA Perfect Fit by Zoe Lee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Perfect Fit is another one of Maybelle County standalones by Zoe Lee! This was my first read by this writer but as I fell in love with the crew I checked out the other two books she has out and I was pleasantly surprised finding out that they are about some of the characters I met in the A Perfect Fit so I know what I will be reaching for when I feel that I need a book that picks me up and makes me laugh!
A Perfect Fit is the story of Daisy Rhys and Duncan “Dunk” McCoy – a small town sassy and sweet Daisy and the county football coach and the life of a party! Throw those two together at a wedding and you have Dunk wondering if he truly had the best night of his life or maybe it was just a dream … I loved the easy chemistry those two had, the banter and the laughter, the dynamics of the group of friends they were part of and …
If you crave something sweet and sassy that leaves you feeling fuzzy and warm then I promise you, the Maybelle County books are for you!

Truck Stopped (Satan’s Devils MC #11) by Manda Mellett – Review by Jana Teppih

Truck StoppedTruck Stopped by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Truck Stopped is the eleventh book in Manda Mellett’s original Satan’s Devils MC series and finally, finally the writer is giving us Truck’s story!!! YEY! If you are like me who has read the Satan’s Devils MC series and the Colorado Chapter spin-off series then you know how long we have been waiting for Truck’s story! From the bits and pieces we have heard over the books leading up to this one, I knew that it would be a totally heartbreaking read!
I loved how the writer had set the whole story up – Truck and Allie’s story and then Drummer and Peg’s conversations in the future looking back at Truck and Allie’s story – absolutely brilliant! I was bawling my eyes out and I could not put the book down! The brotherhood, the loyalty, the care, the humanity … the writer has weaved it all together into a story that will not let you go and IF this is your first book in Satan’s Devils MC universe then you will want to reach for the other ones and I hope you do as you will not regret it, not one bit!
I am so grateful that the writer started with the spin off series as this is the final book in the main series and I would not want to leave the brothers and just maybe we will get the new generation series at some point as well … here is to hoping!

Discovery (The Orphan Train Saga Book 1) by Sherry A. Burton – Review by Jana Teppih

Discovery (The Orphan Train Saga Book 1)Discovery by Sherry A. Burton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Discovery is the first book in Sherry A Burton’s historical fiction series The Orphan Train Saga. I got hooked on this topic when I read Lisa Wingates Before We Were Yours so I was so excited to pick up Sherry’s book and she did not disappoint! It was my first read by the writer and I cannot wait to pick up the second book of the series!
Discovery takes us back into the era of the American history when the society did not have any sympathy to orphans and they were considered disposable, unlovable and unwanted. The horrors they faced and the conditions they lived in … at times it is really hard to believe that we as human race have lasted that long …
The story is told through the history of Cindy Moore’s grandmother – Cindy is finally going through her grandmother’s possessions/junk that Cindy and her mother have been storing for years and this action opens the gates and takes us all to the journey into Grandmother Mildred/Mileta’s life … a life filled with secrets and fear and loss and triumph of the human spirit to survive almost anything …
The story is beautifully told and so detailed that you can close your eyes and hear and see it unfolding in front of your eyes. Be prepared to cry … be prepared to be enraged … be prepared to learn more about the history than you could ever imagine …

September Breeze (Cinnamon Bay Romance Book 2) by Nikki Lynn Barrett – Review by Jana Teppih

September Breeze (Cinnamon Bay, #2)September Breeze by Nikki Lynn Barrett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

September Breeze is the second story in Cinnamon Bay written by Nikki Lynn Barrett. Cinnamon Bay is a series filled with romance, mystery, and magic and the stories take place in the quirky coastal town of Cinnamon Bay, North Carolina. Each book is written by a different writer which gives us a series that will fall in love with! Nikki Lynn Barrett is a new writer for me and I know I will be picking up her books now that I have read September Breeze.
The small town matchmakers are at it again in this small town when they send a songwriter Tess Dixon to Brian Taylor’s door. Brian is a widow with two young daughters and is looking for a live – in nanny but of course it is not as simple as that as the add that Tess was given, it was not a live-in nanny that the family was looking for but a mother …
You can imagine where the story might take us and I loved the two little girls and the patience Tess had with them and I loved the affection and the playfulness and I also felt drawn to Tess’ baggage … don’t we all have some?
I recommend you to pick up a copy and join Tess and Brian and Alice and Tatum and join me in keeping our fingers crossed!

A Divided Mind by M. Billiter – Review by Jana Teppih

A Divided MindA Divided Mind by M. Billiter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Divided Mind is the first book by M.Billiter (the alter ego of the writer Mary Billliter and I have enjoyed many of her books). I know that the story is being promoted as psychological thriller and I can see how some people might get confused by this but I get why it is so hard to define it – yes it is contemporary, yes it is about mental illness but there are some aspects of thriller there as well when you are not sure if it truly is the mental illness or maybe it is something else …
A Divided Mind is the story of high schoolers Branson, Aron and their single mother Tara(there are also two younger siblings). The writer tells the story from Tara and Branson’s POV so we get deep into the mind and dynamics of the family members. The writer gives detailed insight into the Schizoaffective Disorder and how it affects the person suffering from it, the family members and the friends … you will cry and Branson will break your heart AND you will fall in love with Aron and the bond that the twins have.
If you like stories about mental illness then this is definitely a book for you!

The Flood by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Jana Teppih

The FloodThe Flood by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Flood by Meghan O’Flynn is a psychological thriller that leaves you speechless! I have read most of Meghan’s books so I thought I was prepared for the wickedness but I tell you, I was in no way prepared … she simply blew my mind and that from the prologue on … my goodness, the pictures she paints in your head using the words, I could not fall asleep the night I finished the book!
The writer has given us a story that is a mix of suspense and mystery that is so twisted and nightmarish that you start looking over your shoulder and jump at the weird sounds! There is so much more there that meets the eye, the massive flood in the small coastal town in Louisiana and a couple – Chad and Victoria – being rescued by a woman called Windy taking the to a waterproof bunker … and then it starts surfacing and be prepared as nothing will prepare you! Keep your light on and sleep with one eye open!

Out Bad (Sinners or Saints Book 1) by Janice M. Whiteaker – Review by Jana Teppih

Out BadOut Bad by Janice M. Whiteaker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Out Bad is the opening chapter to Janice M Whiteaker’s Sinners or Saints series. What an opening it was! I cannot wait to see what comes next and I absolutely love how it also connects to her Lost Boys MC series! I have read EVERY SINGLE BOOK she has written and I can only say that she gets better with every book and every series she releases and when she finishes a series I feel grief as I do not want to let go!
Out Bad is the story of Joe and Gwen. Both of them carry heavy heavy burdens and their demons seem at times too strong to be conquered! Joe hopes to redeem himself with every single act, he hopes that he will meet a woman that he has something to offer to and he will be able to build a life and family he can be proud of. Gwen I a stubborn workaholic who believes that any chance for her own family is gone and she only role she will every play is the auntie to her sister’s daughters …
The writer gives us an emotional and suspenseful story that keeps you biting your nails and I feel that I got so much more out of it because I had read the Lost Boys MC stories before I picked up Out Bad! I cannot wait to see what direction the writer will take this series!

The Traitor (An Underground Bad Boys Romance Book 2) by India Kells – Review by Jana Teppih

The Traitor, An Underground Bad Boys SeriesThe Traitor, An Underground Bad Boys Series by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Traitor is the second book in India Kells’ Underground Bad Boys Series! I love India Kells writing, I have read most of what she has written so when The Traitor popped up on my radar I knew I had to pick it up! I fell in love with the Underground Bad Boys series when I read Locke and Tessa’s story (and I was so happy to see them popping up here as well)!
The Traitor gives us Spencer Knox who feels that he is a traitor as he had to go against the people he grew up with and worked with. He has escaped to a small town and bought a garage and is trying to live a normal life. Well, it does not go too well as he notices Josie Baird though originally he decides to stay away from her as he believes he has nothing to offer her … The series has a M/F/M aspect to it so we need the second M and it is Knox’ best friend Gage who comes to help Knox with his garage and he is the opposite to Knox – full of life, joking and bantering …
You need to pick up a copy to see how their paths cross and get entwined and learn that all of them have their own demons and we need to go to the end to see whether they take a chance on the future … I cannot wait to see what the writer will give us in her third book!

All That’s Left Unsaid by Rowena Holloway – Review by Jana Teppih

All That's Left UnsaidAll That’s Left Unsaid by Rowena Holloway
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

All That’s Left Unsaid is a mystery by Rowena Holloway that keeps you guessing to the last chapter! It is the first book I have read by this writer so I didn’t really know what to expect. I got intrigued by the synopsis and decided to take a chance and I do not regret it! This story is so worth taking a weekend!
The writer gives us Harriet who is estranged from her mother and who heads to Italy after her mother thinks that the bones found in a cave are of her friend who has been missing for thirty years. We have secrets and twists and turns and a bit of romance sprinkled into it all … The writer is taking Harriet on a journey of discovery and we are going along, willingly … I love the way the spins the story, the way she describes it all, you can simply close your eyes and picture it!

Game Changer by Sylvie Stewart – Review by Jana Teppih

Game ChangerGame Changer by Sylvie Stewart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Game Changer is a standalone by Sylvie Stewart. I have read most of what she has written and as I love her way of sharing the Southern way of being with us then I was excited to pick up a copy of Game Changer and as usually, she didn’t disappoint!
She gives us Poppy with her whole Southern family that cracks you up (I mean just picture Cookie and her B&B in the real world and you would get ready to make a booking and head down to Savannah on your next vacation), and then we have Mac, a beast of an Alpha that plays a totally different game … add to this mix New York and Poppy’s dream job and you are set for the whole weekend with that 412 page of goodness! You get everything you could imagine wanting – humour, friends, loving family and a genuine Southern Belle who will take on Fate any time!

Undercover (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 2) by Via Mari – Review by Jana Teppih

Undercover (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 2)Undercover by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Undercover is the second book in Via Mari’s Billionaire Bodyguards’ series where another member of the elite security team protecting the wealthiest men in the world gets his story! You can read these stories as standalones but I would recommend taking the series from the beginning as that helps you get deeper into that intriguing universe that the writer has created and where many of her series intersect! I have read EVERY SINGLE ONE of her stories and I welcome you into her universe!
Undercover gives us Matt’s story! He is the security for the wealthy AND Marenah is the granddaughter of the head of Russian Bratva (Mafia). Also, she is the twin sister to Sasha who was the lead of the first book in the series! I am sure you think it will be one boring story, right? You couldn’t be further from the reality! It is a great love story with loads of passion and heat and action! The writer gives us secrets and twists and turns and you will be craving for the next one when you get to the end. It is like an addiction, the good kind!

Simply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love Story by Jennifer L. Allen – Review by Jana Teppih

Simply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love StorySimply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love Story by Jennifer L. Allen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Simply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love story by Jennifer L Allen is exactly what the title says – a totally sweet love story that will pick you up when you feel down and makes you feel good! I have read couple of other books by the writer which I liked very much so I knew when I picked up Simply Irresistible that I would spend couple of fun hours with Melanie and Tyler who are THE couple of the story.
I loved how the writer threw together two nerdy professionals – a 80ies fan and a 90ies fan and who have big dreams while plugging away at the same publishing company! They have ambitions and they also have what backs these ambitions up!
Add to this all the great New York City and their different backgrounds and you get a fun story where you laugh a lot and suddenly realize that you have fallen in love! So come along and join their journey!

Bound (The Torzial Affair Book 2) by Via Mari – Review by Jana Teppih

Bound (The Torzial Affair Book 2)Bound by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bound is the second book in Via Mari’s Torzial Affair series (that is a spin-off of her Prestian Series). You cannot read it as a standalone and I recommend you read the Prestian Series as well as it provides you with many of details that make you to enjoy it so much more.
Jenny is in a pickle and it is an understatement of the century – she is accused of murdering her ex and as a result she is thrown into the dispute between mafia groups. We learn so much more about her and her time with her ex and it explain so much … It is also great to see how Brian is growing from one book to another and how it helps him to take the true control of the situation AND of Jenny. I love how much more detail there is to Jenny and Brian in this second book and let’s not forget about how much more we learn about Matt the original protector …
The writer leaves us craving for the next book where we hopefully find out whether it will work between Jenny and Brian and whether Brian will be able to completely commit to Jenny and Jenny to completely to submit to him …

Happily Ever After – Brothers of Camelot Style by Necie Navone – Review by Jana Teppih

Happily Ever After - Brothers of Camelot StyleHappily Ever After – Brothers of Camelot Style by Necie Navone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Happily Ever After – Brothers of Camelot Style by Necie Navone is a novella that takes us deep down to the wedding of Bella and Drake that took place in My One Love. I loved being able to read in more detail about the first Camelot wedding that set such a high bar on the next ones! I also loved learning more about the dynamics between the brothers and it made me more impatient to their stories! I wonder who Necie is going to give us next and how long she is going to make us wait for it!
I love the premises of the story and I just love the Moms (and Dads) and there is no surprise there that we love the Brothers when they have had the care and love of their elders, collectively … I know that the child in me wishes I had had such a close group to hang out with and be protected by!
Keep them coming Ms Navone!

My One Love (The Brothers of Camelot Book 2) by Necie Navone – Review by Jana Teppih

My One Love (The Brothers of Camelot Book 2)My One Love by Necie Navone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My One Love is the second book in Necie Navone’s Brothers of Camelot series BUT I need to tell you that you should read her My Life prequel trilogy before you start on this one as that trilogy sets the scene to Aless and Grayson’s story! You are lucky that you can read them all in one go as there are so many storylines!
I love Necie’s stories! They are steamy and adventurous and they also give us the dream of decent, loyal, hot alpha guys who make it worth the pain! I love her Brothers of Camelot universe and as there are quite a few of them then we know that there will be so much more pleasurable reading in our future!
Aless and Grayson, they are both grown up now and Aless aka Lexy has finally made her move and is ready to move on with her ‘ordinary’ life. There are secrets and there is mystery and there is forgiveness and there are so many other great characters that enter the Brothers of Camelot universe and I hope that we will see more of them in the future books (or at least get an update on them!).
I know that you might have heard that you can read the books as standalones but I sincerely recommend reading them in the order as there are references to previous stories/couples and you want to understand them!

Proper Impulse (Jaded Lily Book 4) by Zeia Jameson – Review by Jana Teppih

Proper ImpulseProper Impulse by Zeia Jameson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Proper Impulse is the fourth book in Zeia Jameson’s Jaded Lily series. I have read the previous two and yes, you could read it as a standalone, do yourself a favour and read them in order as they are linked to each other through the characters.
Proper Impulse is a sweet story that made me laugh out loud at times as Juniper and Milo are as different as two people can be! Juniper is a free spirited non-conformist with a heart as big as … and she is willing to bend the rules if she feels it serves a higher good. Milo is a straight laced police officer who sees everything black and white and always, always plays by the rules. Their worlds collide (nothing tragic so don’t worry) and it seems as if faith keeps throwing them together … I loved how the story was told from each of their POVs so it gave such a cool perspective on how clueless Milo was and how he struggled with entering the world that is not black and white …
I cannot wait to see what will come next in the series!

Two Hearts Under Fire (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8) By Tamara Ferguson – Review by Jana Teppih

TWO HEARTS UNDER FIRE (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8)TWO HEARTS UNDER FIRE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Two Hearts Under Fire is the eight book in Tamara Ferguson’s Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance series. I have read every single one of Tamara’s books and every time she releases a new one, I am there! I love her Crystal Rock universe and I love how we get updates on the characters we met in previous stories. I admire the love, compassion and understanding she has for the wounded vets, the consideration she shows when telling the stories that are at times so close to what so many have experienced …
Two Hearts Under Fire give us Russ and Claire and they are taking us on a roundabout journey that will end up connecting way more dots than what we originally thought! It is amazing how the writer throws together action, twists and turns and romance that seems so natural! I promise you that once you have read Russ and Claire’s story you want to go back and read the others as you get curious about them when meeting them here!
I cannot wait to see who will be up next!

Ruin: The El Diablo Chronicles by Autumn Sand – Review by Jana Teppih

Ruin (The El Diablo Chronicles)Ruin by Autumn Sand
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ruin is the opening to Autumn Sand’s new series called The El Diablo Chronicles. I loved how she introduced a new series by giving us the characters we had met in her Twisted Hearts Love Story. You do not need to have read the series to jump into Ruin but I strongly recommend that you do not want to miss Twisted Hearts Love Story series!
I would say that The El Diablo Chronicles is darker than the Twisted Hearts Love Story series, if you believe. The writer gives us the warning about triggers and I tell you, be aware of them as she is touching upon issues in our society that are heart breaking and have an impact on one’s life till the day they die.
Ruin gives us Tallie and Raymond aka El Diablo. When I first met Tallie I was wondering what the heck was wrong with her to be such a biatch and here we get the answers … we meet her demons … and who does one need to slay one’s demons? El Diablo aka the Devil himself! Welcome into his world!
I hope that the writer will not keep us waiting too long before giving us the next story in the series!

Blackbird’s Deliverance (Silent Secrets Series Book 4) by Lisette Kristensen – Review by Jana Teppih

Blackbird's Deliverance (Book Four)Blackbird’s Deliverance by Lisette Kristensen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blackbird’s Deliverance is the fourth book of Lisette Kristensen Silent Secrets Series. The writer took us on one heck of a ride in the first book of the series and she has not let go! She gives us a beautiful mix of emotions and actions and … romance … This time Blackbird is on a mission involving her family – her mother has been kidnapped and there is no doubt that she will jump in with two feet!
I love how short the stories are, I know, it is sort of contradiction to what I usually say ( I love loooong ones) but I don’t think my heart could handle it if the stories were longer … the blood pressure goes up and up and up and then you are at the end and you are, whew, we made it!
It is not just Blackbird I love, I like the whole team and I love how the writer has them interacting and how in each book we learn a bit more about them. I think at times it is the secondary characters that make the story zing!
Keep them coming and we will keep reading!

The Trouble With Paradise (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery Book 4) by Cynthia Hamilton – Review by Jana Teppih

The Trouble with Paradise (Madeline Dawkins #4)The Trouble with Paradise by Cynthia Hamilton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Trouble with Paradise is already the fourth book in Cynthia Hamilton’s Madeline Dawkins’ series! I love how Madeline’s character has evolved over the series and her sidekick Mike … their friendship, the way they work together to solve the cases, how they wade through twists and turns … This time we have TWO cases, two widows with obviously two dead husbands … are their deaths how they seem on the surface or is there something else, more sinister, going on beneath … the writer keeps us at the edge of our seats and biting our finger nails … will Madeline and Mike find the secrets the men had on time?
This is one brilliant series and I cannot wait to see what Madeline and Mike will investigate next!

Blood Relations (The Sorrel Janes Mysteries) by Lonna Enox – Review by Jana Teppih

Blood RelationsBlood Relations by Lonna Enox
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blood Relations by Lonna Enox is a sequel to The Last Dance where we met Sorrel Janes for the first time! The writer has given us another intriguing mystery that makes it really hard not to finish it in one sitting! Sorrel tumbles in the middle of a murder scene at a birding festival at a wildlife refuge when her only intent was to take loads of nature photos to sell at her gift shop and also meet up with an old friend … a fat chance … nothing goes like planned in Sorrel’s life … at least she is in with her Detective boyfriend Chris!
Loads of twists and turns so settle down with a drink or cup of tea and let Lonna take you away from New Mexico to Missouri and back! I wonder what will be next for Sorrel and Chris …

The Girls across the Bay (The Knox and Sheppard Mysteries, Book 1) by Emerald O’Brien – Review by Jana Teppih

The Girls Across The Bay (Knox and Sheppard, #1)The Girls Across The Bay by Emerald O’Brien
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Girls Across The Bay is the opening to Emerald O’Brien’s Knox and Sheppard series! I fell in love with her writing when I read the opening to another series of hers, the Avery Hart Trilogy! I was fascinated with her style of storytelling, the intricate connections, the subtle hints, the mixing of past and present so I thought I would be ready for The Girls Across The Bay but I wasn’t … she took it up by at least a notch and I cannot wait to see where she will be taking the series to!
Knox and Sheppard are two sisters by choice, Madigan and Grace, and they have seen and experienced way too much for their age … I loved how the writer gave us the story from each of their point of view, the inner dialogues, the building of the foundation to the universe that she placed them into … across the bay … these two work together to solve a mystery that has a dark connection to their past and I promise you that when you find out ‘who did it’, you will be as surprised as ever!
I cannot wait to see what comes next for Madigan, Grace, Mac and John …

Irresistible Heroes – Heroes of Your Heart by Various Authors – Review by Jana Teppih

IRRESISTIBLE HEROESIRRESISTIBLE HEROES by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Irresistible Heroes is a collection of stories that will steal your heart! Tamara Ferguson, Natalie Ann, Suzanne Jenkins, Cynthia Cooke, Alicia Street, Alyssa Bailey, Stephanie Queen and Patrice Wilton came together to give us a present that makes the current hot summer nights scorching!
I have read everything Tamara Ferguson has ever written and almost all that Stephanie Queen has written so there was no doubt in my head whether to pick this collection up or not AND of course, neither of them let me down!
Tamara Ferguson’s Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes took me back to Crystal Rock, Wisconsin, with Captain Samantha Coldwell and Captain Ben Nash. It brings the terrorists to the wounded warriors’ center and I loved meeting up with familiar faces! I promise you that you will enjoy this unlikely heroes story!
Stephanie Queen’s Never Gone By is the opening to another of her fine series called The Zero to Hero and I cannot wait to see what comes next! There are so many heroes she could have chosen among and I am very pleased that she decided to open with Joe and let’s not forget about our Hollywood costume designer turned starlet Mae!
I used the opportunity to discover new writers and I can say that She’s Having a Baby by Suzanne Jenkins will leave you grabbing your tissues when she packs into the opening of her new series taking place in San Diego family, duty, action, love, loss, heartache and new beginnings! It was not only our leading couple but a whole family of heroes aka supporting cast!
This collection has something for everyone so I warmly recommend you to pick up and spend a cool weekend inside or a breezy day outside with it!

Shattered Melody: A romantic suspense novella by Amy McKinley – Review by Jana Teppih

Shattered MelodyShattered Melody by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Shattered Melody is a short suspense read by Amy McKinley whose Gray Ghost series I have fell in love with a while ago so when Shattered Melody popped up on my radar, I picked it up and I didn’t regret it! You can read it as a standalone though the main squeeze Reese Miller is part of the Gray Ghost family …
Shattered Melody is the story of Emma Dawson who has isolated herself after her stalked killed her fiancé 3 years earlier. She thinks that not getting close to anyone and simply living for her music, she will be safe … it also means that she is highly suspicious of everyone so when Reese moves to a cottage not far from hers and the attraction between them cannot be denied she starts wondering if Reese is her knight in shiny armour or the one she needs to be afraid of …
As said, the story is fast and furious and you will absolutely love it and I promise you after getting a taste of Amy’s writing, you will want more so go and pick up her Gray Ghost series so you can meet the guys Reese is close to!

Children Of The Future by Jane Suen – Review by Jana Teppih

Children Of The FutureChildren Of The Future by Jane Suen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Children of the Future is the debut mystery by Jane Suen. It is funny how I went back to the ‘beginning’ after having read couple of her later stories and you can see how a writer has grown with each book they have created. When you read the synopsis for the story, you ask yourself if this is an episode of X-Files where instead of Mulder and Scully we have Telly and Billy …
The writer takes us to a little town called Rocky Flats where 25 kids and 3 teachers have disappeared … who or what took them? You will need to follow the clues that the writer has given us and I promise you that whatever you think you know, you are completely wrong and you will get a profound aha moment when it all gets revealed …
You need to take your time when you start with the story, it is Jane Suen’s debut novel and it might seem as if it is her inexperience that you think you are encountering in seemingly unnecessary information and replays of earlier scenes and maybe it is so but at the same time if you slow down and get into the feel of the little town and its people you wonder that maybe it is all on purpose …

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wayward is the opening book of Via Mari’s new series called Billionaire Bodyguards. I have read most of her writing and I was delighted to see that she added another exiting and sexy series into the universe she had created with Prestian Series and The Torzial Affair series! You can read this book as a standalone and as an opening to a new standalone series but I recommend also to read the other two series as you will enjoy learning more about the connections and relationships and …
Our leading pair is Jay and Sasha – Jay is the head of the elite bodyguard/security team that protects two of the wealthiest men in the world and we met him first in the Prestian series, Sasha is this regal Russian ballerina with unexpected mafia connections that might put everyone in danger … we met her earlier in the Torzial Affair!
The writer is sending Jay and Sasha on a journey that leaves us at the edge of our seat, keeping our fingers (and toes) crossed and hoping that Sasha realizes in time who she has in Jay as we all want her to find happiness … and Jay, what an alpha male … can he see beyond the surface and is he strong enough to battle Sasha’s demons … we have plenty of passion and tension and suspense and I cannot wait what the writer has in store next!

The Matchmaker’s Match (Man’s Best Friend Book 3) by Nicole Flockton – Review by Jana Teppih

The Matchmaker's Match (Man's Best Friend, #3)The Matchmaker’s Match by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Matchmaker’s Match is the third book in Nicole Flockton’s Man’s Best Friend series where the matchmaker meets his own match after a one night stand and a string of bad decisions … who knew that this one night stand will become a turning point that will have an impact on the rest of his life? You can read this story as a standalone but be not surprised if you find yourself reaching for Ethan’s story at the minimum!
Our matchmaker is Lincoln Forest who helped his best friend Ethan to meet the woman of his dreams and who also manages to have a one night stand with the said woman’s best friend Meredith! Can you imagine coming face to face with your one night stand at the rehearsal dinner and you can imagine how both of them are beyond socked! Throw into the mix Meredith’s health scare, four legged cuties, misreading of situations and you get yourself a beautiful story that makes you feel warm and fuzzy and you will find yourself finishing the story in one sitting!
