Never Let Me Go (Bayou Devils MC Book 6) by A.M. Myers – Review by Jana Teppih

Never Let Me Go (Bayou Devils MC #6)Never Let Me Go by A.M. Myers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Never Let Me Go is the sixth book in A.M. Myers’ Bayou Devils MC series and I have been waiting for it for a looong time! I fell in love with the Bayou Devils MC when I read the opening to the series Hopelessly Devoted and I have been hooked on their stories ever since! You can read the story as a standalone but why should you? You will get so much more out of it when you know the backstories to the other ‘brothers’!
Never Let Me Go is Juliette Shaw and Sawyer “Moose” Michelson story. Sawyer is the ultimate bad boy with a big heart that keeps hooking up with the girls that are no good for him. Juliette has just woken up from a weeklong coma after a horrific car accident and having lost 5 years’ worth of memories and her father, the last family she had. There is a lot of drama and a lot of passion and you keep your finger crossed that Juliette finds out who is the bad guy in her life and that she gets her happily ever after! You will not regret picking up a copy and spending a day with Juliette and Sawyer and all his ‘brothers’ and Juliette’s best friend Mercedes!

Murder Creek by Jane Suen – Review by Jana Teppih

Murder CreekMurder Creek by Jane Suen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Murder Creek is a murder mystery by Jane Suen. I have read quite a few books by this writer and I knew that I’d be in for a treat – the writing was smooth and the characters were intriguing and the story was compelling! On top of it all, Murder Creek is a standalone so if you are a lover of mystery stories then you don’t need to be concerned with whether there is a backstory etc. and you can simply grab a copy and enjoy yourself!
Jane Suen gives us Eve Sawyer who has a bit of sixth sense going on and she gets drawn to the unsolved disappearance of Lacey Walken. Eve is stubborn and even though Lacey disappeared years ago, she is determined to figure out what happened to her! We follow the clues along with Eve and meet all the additional characters that make as look up and ponder “I wonder what they are hiding”… The deeper Eve digs the more dangerous the situation turns and you will be biting your fingernails and hoping that she solves it before she becomes an unsolved case herself!

Girl Trap (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery Book 3) by Cynthia Hamilton – Review by Jana Teppih

Girl TrapGirl Trap by Cynthia Hamilton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Girl Trap is the third book in Cynthia Hamilton’s Madeline Dawkins’ series and I absolutely loved the opening! You need to read the books in order to fully understand who Madeline is and how she has become the woman she is now!
In this story Madeline and her partner Mike are working on two cases at the same time. They solve both of them but it takes its toll and the writer leaves us at the edge of our seat at the end of the story, impatiently waiting for what is coming next! The story takes place just over one and half day and we are on such a crazy rollercoaster of human trafficking and mental illness and at times it feels so real that you forget that you are reading a book! Some would say that they want to escape the reality when picking up a book but the way Cynthia Hamilton tackles the darker side of our society, you forgive her and voluntarily join the journey!

The Good Neighbors by Kiersten Modglin – Review by Jana Teppih

The Good NeighborsThe Good Neighbors by Kiersten Modglin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Good Neighbors by Kiersten Modglin is a mind-bending suspense story that will blow your mind when you get to the end! You get a whiplash from all the twists and turns and they all make sense in the end! It is my first read by this writer and I know I will be going back to her when I feel like needing something nail-biting that I can drown in!
It all starts so innocent! Newlywed Harper and Bryant leave Chicago to move into their first house in a small town where they meet their ‘perfect’ neighbours Tory and Jason. Harper gets a vibe off them but is not really able to pin point it … the further you get into the story you start asking yourself whether they are good or bad or stalkerish or simply crazy … I promise you that you will not be able to put the book down once you start so make sure you have enough time planned to do so!

The Last Dance (The Sorrel Janes Mysteries) by Lonna Enox – Review by Jana Teppih

The Last DanceThe Last Dance by Lonna Enox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Last Dance by Lonna Enox is a story that will pull you down a road that is twisted like heck … Sorrell will annoy the heck out of you and you feel at times like she is living up to the quintessential ‘I am an island and I can only rely on me’ and you will also admire her for being able to pick up pieces and make sense of her life after the event that changed her life dramatically and had to move to New Mexico. She is trying to lead a quiet life but she gets pulled into photographing crime scenes and adding to it Detective Reed and the chemistry and love-hate relationship and you can forget about the quaint and quiet!
Lonna Enox is a new writer to me and I am intrigued by her writing so I will be looking out for the next Sorrell mystery!

Steele Resolve (The Hawke Family Book 6) by Gwyn McNamee – Review by Jana Teppih

Steele Resolve (Hawke Family #6)Steele Resolve by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Steele Resolve is the closing chapter of Gwyn McNamee Hawke Family series. It is absolutely not meant to be read as a standalone! All the stories in the series are intertwined and you need to read them in order to fully understand where the writer is taking you! It is a novella but it packs a punch and gives us a grand finale that the series deserves!
Love is the battlefield for Byron Harris and Luca “Steele” Abello that comes with real threats and dire consequences … they are walking along the path that I do not wish even onto my enemies though if it all goes well, their life would be one of the fairy tales … Luca is the son of Hawke family enemy, his father almost destroyed the family and brought untold pain and misery … Byron is the adopted member of the family that he cannot imagine to be disloyal to … what should they do? Let each other go? Steal the moments? What a drama does the writer give us when she brings it all together … the past and the present and the future … and the epilogue … my goodness!
I know that the writer will give us many more stories and I will be on a lookout!

Devil’s Due: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter #3) by Manda Mellett – Review by Jana Teppih

Devil's Due: Satan's Devils MC Colorado Chapter #3Devil’s Due: Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter #3 by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Devil’s Due is the third book in Manda Mellett’s Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter series. I have been waiting for this main characters story for ever (don’t want to spill the beans on who it is …) and I am so happy that finally it is here. I was curious to see what road the writer would take him down and she did not disappoint, not a bit! You could read this story as a standalone but why would you when there is so much goodness to indulge in and it all adds another layer of enjoyment to your experience. I love MC series and Manda’s Satan Devils home chapter series and Colorado Chapter series are a bomb!
The writer is a master at throwing you onto an intense and emotional rollercoaster ride and you keep getting hit from the side … you will find it impossible to put the book down! She gives us a galore of brotherhood and loyalty and bravery and action and deceit and steamy romance! Welcome into the MC world that you will not want to leave!

Nite Fire: Smoke & Mirrors (Book 3) by C. L. Schneider – Review by Jana Teppih

Smoke & Mirrors (Nite Fire #3)Smoke & Mirrors by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Smoke & Mirrors by C.L. Schneider is the third book in her Nite Fire series! Finally! It was a long wait for Dahlia Nite’s next challenging case! You absolutely need to read the stories in the order as otherwise you’ll be lost as you don’t know Dahlia’s story …
Dahlia and her human partner Alex Creed are following the trail of random body parts that were discovered along a river bank that had recently flooded. It is a puzzling case as Dahlia cannot figure out why there are body parts of other world creatures in the mix … so once again Dahlia is forced to straddle both the human world and the supernatural world and as we all know then these encounters always have consequences …
I cannot wait for the next instalment as the writer leaves us craving for what comes next!

A High Price to Pay (The Madeline Dawkins Series Book 2) by Cynthia Hamilton – Review by Jana Teppih

A High Price to Pay (Madeline Dawkins, #2)A High Price to Pay by Cynthia Hamilton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A High Price to Pay is the second book in Cynthia Hamilton’s Madeline Dawkins series that provides us with suspense and excitement that leaves us at the edge of our seat until we get to the end! You can read it as a standalone but I would recommend to start with the first book as you will want to know how it all started and how Madeline becomes the woman (and the PI) she is today!
Madeline and Mike have ‘graduated’ from their PI internship and they start their own firm. Maddie is combining her two careers – event coordinator and PI. In the midst of Maddie organizing the most lavish weekend long birthday bash for Hollywood set she needs to solve two murders and also deal with her past when the madman she testified against and helped to put behind the bars gets out on parole …
It is a great story with characters that leave an impression and you will keep looking for the next story!

Alex: An Eidolon Black Ops Novel by Maddie Wade – Review by Jana Teppih

Alex: An Eidolon Black Ops NovelAlex: An Eidolon Black Ops Novel by Maddie Wade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Alex is the first book in Maddie Wade’s Eidolon Black Ops series that is a spinoff of her Fortus Security Series. We met Eidolon guys in the Fortus Series books and I was really excited when the writer decided to do a spinoff and give us Eidolon boys and their stories!!! I have read every single one of Fortus Security books and I know it will be the same with Eidolon Black Ops series as I absolutely love the universe Maddie Wade has created! With every book we get deeper into it and get more hooked on it!
Alex Martinez is the right had man of the Eidolon Black Ops leader Jack and he lost his heart when he was eighteen … well he handed his heart to Evelyn Garcia when he was eight and she was six years old and he lost her when he was eighteen … she simply disappeared one night and now it has been fifteen years he has had no idea what happened to her …
Well, their paths cross and Evelyn is no longer the tender-hearted artist she was, she is a cold blooded killer/assassin … they are thrown together as a kill order is taken out on Evelyn and there is no well in hell that Alex will let it happen so we are taken on one heck of a ride and you will be keeping your fingers crossed throughout the whole book hoping that they will win the race against the time!

Enemies of the Desert (Silent Secrets Series Book 3) by Lisette Kristensen – Review by Jana Teppih

Enemies of the Desert Book: 3Enemies of the Desert Book: 3 by Lisette Kristensen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Enemies of the Desert is the third book in Lisette Kristensen’s Silent Secrets Series. She is giving us another one of Blackbird’s missions that leaves you gripping the edge of your seat! Enemies of the Desert gives us a showdown between Blackbird and Selena so we are getting an abundance of strong butt kicking women that don’t back down. You need to read the first two books before starting this one as you need to know the backstory of Blackbird came to be and to truly understand who she is.
I can see many more books in the series as there will be many more missions and there some other characters that need to get their own stories through the eyes of our Blackbird. I can just picture it all in my mind as the details that the writer has given us so far make it all so clear … so welcome to an action packed universe where anything is possible and anyone can be your enemy…

Tracking Numbers (Lost Boys MC BOOK 1) by Janice M. Whiteaker – Review by Jana Teppih

Tracking NumbersTracking Numbers by Janice M. Whiteaker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tracking Numbers is the mindblowing opening to Janice M Whiteaker’s new series called Lost Boys MC! I have read everything Janice has written so far and I love the diversity of her work – from paranormal to suspense to MC and it feels like she is getting better with every single book I am reading! I love MC series so I was curious and hopeful when I picked up Lost Boys and I have to admit that I cannot wait for the next one in the series (I have it already downloaded so …)
Tracking Numbers is the story of Kerry (Numbers) and Evan (Tracker) that are brought together because of Kerry’s father who is the leader of King’s Knights MC. There is chemistry, there are secrets, there is past and there is the potential of a new future … I loved the stoic strong alpha and a sassy independent woman and the journey they take together!
I inhaled Tracking Numbers and now I am ready for Hawk’s story!

Cult (Feisty Lawyers Book 3) by Seelie Kay – Review by Jana Teppih

CultCult by Seelie Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cult is the third instalment in Seelie Kay’s Feisty Lawyers’ series and what a ride it is taking us on! I think the series gets better with each book and I cannot wait to see where the writer will be taking us next! You probably could read this story as a standalone but I promise you that you will get so much more out of it if you have read the previous two first as you get references to them throughout this one!
In Cult the writer sends the newly wedded agents Dianna Murphy and Anders Mark on the trail of God’s Delight, a cult that is preying on young college kids, especially young women and then those young ones go missing when out on missions in Latin America … When the President’s Goddaughter disappears, the President wants to know what is going on so all hands on deck to solve the mystery.
It seems on the surface like a simple mission of determining whether a welfare check on American cult members is warranted, and then get out … but it ends up going much much deeper Dianna goes missing and she might pay with her life!
It is such a fast paced story that pulls you in and you will sit at the edge of your seat until you come to the end, put down the book and go vow …

Shattered (The Torzial Affair Book 1) by Via Mari – Review by Jana Teppih

Shattered (The Torzial Affair Book 1)Shattered by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Shattered is the opening to Via Mari’s Torzial Affair series that is a spinoff of her Prestian series. I suggest you read that series before you immerse yourself into the Torzial Affair series! I know, you could read it as a standalone but you will get so much more out of it if you have read the Prestian series prior. There is some overlap at the end of the first series timewise but Torzial Affair is a totally different story!
Torzian Affair is the story of Jenny and Brian and Shattered is the beginning of it. We have two wounded hearts that have built walls around themselves, for different reasons but still … Via Mari gives us a very intense and steamy romance that touches on some very sensitive and touchy topics – rape, domination and submission …
I loved the opening and I cannot wait for the next step in their relationship!

Spouse Trap: A Madeline Dawkins Mystery (The Madeline Dawkins Series Book 1) by Cynthia Hamilton – Review by Jana Teppih

Spouse Trap (Madeline Dawkins, #1)Spouse Trap by Cynthia Hamilton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spouse Trap is the opening act of Cynthia Hamilton’s Madeline Dawkins series and it is an act to be remembered! It is the first I have read by this writer and it will be not the last (I already have the next book in the series downloaded)!
We have highflying power couple that is THE couple to take after – Madeline Ridley and her husband Steven. Madeline is organizing a charity ball that goes off smashingly until … her husband starts an argument with her and she ends up waking up alone in a strange room the next day remembering nothing … I am sure you can guess what comes next and yes, it might be a bit predictable but the way how Madeline reacts and deals with the situation, that is what you can take away from the story. When it comes down to it, she proves what she is truly made of and whatever gets thrown her way, she will survive it!
I am excited that this was just the first book and there are many more adventures to look forward to!

Beachcomber Enemy: a Romantic Thriller (Beachcomber Investigations Book 10) by Stephanie Queen – Review by Jana Teppih

Beachcomber EnemyBeachcomber Enemy by Stephanie Queen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Beachcomber Enemy is the tenth book in Stephanie Queen’ Beachcomber Investigations series and it is as brilliant as the rest of the instalments. You definitely should read the series in the order as each book builds upon the previous one when it comes to Dane and Shana’s relationship.
Beachcomber Enemy is a bit different than the previous books as generally it is Dane’s past that catches up to them and this time it is Shana’s past and it was such a fun to see how Dane dealt with it. The writer sweeps us away from the beginning and the ups and down of the waves never stop, it all ends in a cliffhanger so heck yeah I am waiting impatiently for the next instalment! I love the realness of Dane and Shana’s relationship, their struggle with their emotions, the little things, the push and pull … I also loved how we meet up with the secondary characters again and Ronny and Sassy, well … nothing more to say!
I always enjoy the hours I spend with Dane and Shana and it was no different this time! Dear writer, keep bringing us more of Dane and Shana as I don’t think we will be getting enough any time soon!

Unraveled by Aubrey Bondurant – Review by Jana Teppih

UnraveledUnraveled by Aubrey Bondurant
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Unraveled by Aubrey Bondurant is a poignant story that hits you in your heart! I have read most of what Aubrey has written and I have to say that I discover more layers with each book I read! She is a writer that I always pick up when a new book comes out.
Unraveled gives us Layla and Kellan and a story that makes you cry and think of your own mortality, it also makes you chuckle and laugh and it gives us a nudge to follow our dreams. It is not just a story about relationships between women and men; it is also a story of a relationship between a mother and her daughter. It shows us the ups and downs and how difficult it is to balance one’s independence with one family’s worry and care and love … in the end, it is a story that leaves you thinking and maybe picking up a phone and calling the ones you love!

Edge of the Storm (Silent Secrets Book 2) by Lisette Kristensen – Review by Jana Teppih

Edge of the Storm: Book 2 (Silent Secrets)Edge of the Storm: Book 2 by Lisette Kristensen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Edge of the Storm is the second book in Lisette Kristensen’s Silent Secrets series and you absolutely should not read it as a standalone! Start from the beginning or you will be completely lost! The first book will give you all the backstory you need to understand who Sloan aka Blackbird is and who her boss Halo is!
It is a short suspense read that once again reminds us that the betrayal never comes from the enemy. I love our intelligent and strong a** woman Sloan who cannot be stopped when she is determined to find her boss/partner who goes missing when a routine mission goes FUBR! The story keeps us at the edge of our seat and at times it felt as if the writer is telling the story of the world around us today … I cannot wait to see what she has in store for Sloan next!

Say Something by Jennifer L. Allen – Review by Jana Teppih

Say SomethingSay Something by Jennifer L. Allen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Say Something is a story by Jennifer L. Allen that touches upon many of the topics that we as mature readers feel drawn to – second chances, infertility, divorce …. It seems to be a standalone though I hope that the writer decides to give the other sibling their stories as well, fingers crossed!
Say Something is the story of Jessica and Danny, childhood sweethearts that have their marriage ripped apart due to infertility. They are both very likable. I liked how Jessica took responsibility for behaviour though at times I was a bit bothered by her self-pity … we don’t know though how we would feel in her shoes. On the journey with Jess and Danny it is so easy to see how problems a couple faces effect also their loved ones, even when they try to protect them and never ever intended it to happen. It was great how the story felt so real thanks to those uncomfortable conversations that needed to happen for those two to more forward … towards their second chance …

Perfectly Played by Holly Kerr – Review by Jana Teppih

Perfectly PlayedPerfectly Played by Holly Kerr
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Perfectly Played is a charming romantic comedy read by Holly Kerr. It is my first read by this writer and I know that it will not be the last! I am not sure if this story is an opening to a series but I really hope that the writer would give us the stories of all those great supporting characters that she introduced us to in this Flora and Dean universe in Toronto!
We meet Flora in a chapel in Las Vegas when in the middle of walking down the aisle to marry a guy she has been together with for 8 years … she ‘comes to her senses’ and calls it off! While running out she bumps into Dean who is waiting for his bride to turn up … Evelyn never comes, instead she sends a text message to Dean’s best man (and friend) Clay saying she is calling it off …
There are a loads of situations that crack you up or squeeze your heart … The writer takes us on a merry ride and at no point did I feel that it was too much or boring or … mix into it Flora’s BFF M.K. and Dean’s best friend’s Clay’s blossoming relationship, Flora’s cookie niece Ruthie and you will be left panting for more!

Crafting Love (Wine & Furniture Series Book 1) by A.E. Gamrat – Review by Jana Teppih

Crafting Love (Wine & Furniture Series Book 1)Crafting Love by A E Gamrat
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Crafting Love is the first book in A.E. Gamrat’s new series called Wine & Furniture. The series has gotten its name from the store that was the turning point in the main character’s life. It is not the first book I have read by this writer and I was hoping for more of her quirky writing style when I picked up this one and she did not disappoint me! (I have to confess that I had no idea what a Cricut is so before I started reading the book I went and watched couple of YouTube videos!)
We have Kelly who is turning thirty and has more or less given up on love, for time being … she has crazy friends though who will not let her stay hidden at home midst her Cricut and YouTube channel followers … it takes only one Karaoke night and her life takes a turn to … interesting … enters Kirk, a younger man with great hands …
The writer has given us a story that doesn’t only keep us entertained but also asks us to look a bit deeper into ourselves … turning older, disappointing relationships, finding one’s passion, age difference etc. I have great hopes for the next book in the series, I wonder who is the lead in it and what kind of a rollercoaster we will end up being on …

Fierce Emotions (Marcy Series Book 8) by Linda Burson – Review by Jana Teppih

Fierce EmotionsFierce Emotions by Linda Burson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fierce Emotions is the eight book in Linda Burson’s Marcy series and fortunately for us there is no end in sight yet! We have more beauty coming our way while digging deeper into Marcy and Brad and Liam and the universe they inhabit!
You absolutely cannot read this book as a standalone as each book is linked to the previous ones, it is like building blocks and if one is missing then the whole construction tumbles!
As usual, the writer takes us all through a gamut of emotions, anything form anger to love and heartache to insecurities and understanding and confusion and laughter. I love being able to hang along on the journey that the writer is taking Marcy and her men and I am curious what direction we will be heading next. One thing I am sure of, it is not going to be boring!

Past Storm and Fire by Christy Nicholas – Review by Jana Teppih

Past Storm and FirePast Storm and Fire by Christy Nicholas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Past Storm and Fire by Christy Nicholas is a mindblowing read filled with adventure, romance, black magic and mystery that spans a thousand years! It is weird how at some point I started hearing Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years at the back of my head (like a soundtrack to the story unfolding!) It was my first read by this writer and I was happy to see that I had made a right decision by picking it up! I hope that there will be another book like the main character is told at the end of the book!
We have Val whose life if falling into pieces amongst the damage from the hurricane Andrew and her husband’s deceit. She finds relief from daily grind by starting to write a novel based in Iceland over thousand years ago … she gets lost in the world where the past and the present and the future collide … I studied Islandic back at university so I took special delight in the story and the attention to the detail that the writer is luring us in … I truly hope that there is another book bringing us deeper into the story!

Tainted Saint (The Hawke Family Book 5) by Gwyn McNamee – Review by Jana Teppih

Tainted Saint (Hawke Family #5)Tainted Saint by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tainted Saint is the fifth story in Gwyn McNamee’s Hawke Family series and what a series it is! Every single book takes you deeper into the Hawke Family universe and you are left panting for more! Every story is a complete story BUT they do need to be read in order as you would be totally lost if you picked any of them up randomly! Some stories are the Hawke sibling stories and some of them are of secondary characters so I see good news in that as there is a load of writing material for our great Gwyn McNamee!
Tainted Saint is the story of Soloman “Saint” Clarke and Caroline Brooks. We have met both of them in the previous stories! Caroline is best friends with Dani so she meets Saint when visiting with Dani at the club the Hawke guys are running. Saint is protective and has a heart of gold and Caroline tests his patient to no end! Bring together two strong personalities that lust after each other and you get fireworks!
There is some suspense and danger floating around in this novella and it will leave us with a cliffhanger (sort of) so I cannot wait for the next story in the series!

Wild Bastard: A Dark Sparrow Novel by India Kells – Review by Jana Teppih

Wild BastardWild Bastard by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wild Bastard is the third book in India Kells’ Dark Sparrow Series. I think I have read all the books in her Women of Purgatory series and the other books in the Dark Sparrow series and I have to say that with every single book I read, I get pulled deeper and deeper into the world she has created. It is really cool how her books are in a way standalones while at the same time still connected – you meet characters from different series and they get involved in each other stories! It is such a fun to pick up a book and figure out how and where it fits in India Kells’ universe!
Wild Bastard is a story of second chances – our Kai and Isabelle who met years ago and then Isabelle disappeared from Kai’s life while leaving him emotionally destroyed … the story that the writer has given us is complex, it is full of action and intrigue and suspense and secrets and lies … and sex … and love …
I promise you will be sitting at the edge of your seat and once you are finished with Wild Bastard, you will be reaching for the first two books in the series and you will also be checking India’s website for the updates on when the next book will come out!

Demon's Angel: Satan's Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #2Demon’s Angel: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #2 by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Demon’s Angel: Satan’s Devils MC is the second book in Manda Mellett’s Colorado Chapter series. I could not wait for it after I finished the first of the series. I have to confess, my MC heart lives with Colorado Chapter now! AND while it is the Colorado Chapter book, we still get to hang out with some of the mother chapter guys as well! Double happiness!
We have Demon, the new president (and the former president’s son). He is what you want your president to be! Strong, 100% alpha (and sexy but that is for our benefit not for the club’s) … he is taking charge and he wants to make things happen! And then there is Violet, our fierce single mother who was in love with her older brother’s best friend, Demon … Her brother is no longer there, 10 years has passed since he died and Demon has fallen down on his promise to his MC brother, to protect his little sister, and now Violet is bringing her desperation and fight to Demon’s doorstep!
I love the way the writer brings the MC world alive for us! She takes us deep into that world and with each book she keeps peeling back the layers! Please keep going as we will keep begging for more!

Lies Come True (The Avery Hart Trilogy Book 1) by Emerald O’Brien – Review by Jana Teppih

Lies Come True (Avery Hart Trilogy, #1)Lies Come True by Emerald O’Brien
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lies Come True is the opening act of Emerald O’Brien’s Avery Hart Trilogy. It is like sitting down and watching a British serial crime drama television series (think of Broadchurch…) that is taking place in Birch Falls, Ontario.
The writer is masterful in keeping you at the edge of your seat and as Lies Come True is the first of the trilogy then she will leave us with one heck of a cliffhanger that I am sure I am not the only one impatient to read!
We have Avery Hart who survived an attack when she was fourteen. Wind forward ten years and another woman has been attacked and she survives as well … are these cases related? Enter Inspector Noah Cotter who is keen on solving the case while also being attracted to Avery … the writer gives us some intense and detailed police investigation descriptions, a puzzle that I was not able to solve until the pieces had been put together and actually, there are still some things up in the air … I have a slight feeling that we need to get to the end of the trilogy to be able to solve it all!

Until Fools Find Gold (Providence Gold Book One) by Mary B. Moore – Review by Jana Teppih

Until Fools Find GoldUntil Fools Find Gold by Mary B. Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Until Fools Find Gold opens Mary B. Moore’s Providence Gold series and I cannot wait for the rest of the series! I absolutely fell in love with Luna and the Townsend family! Apparently I should venture into Providence Series as that is about the other arm of Townsend clan and if I can judge anything based on Until Fools Find Gold, then I have nothing to lose but loads to win!
This story will crack you up! I mean Luna’s inner monologue that at times she just cannot hold in, oh my, I just kept snorting out loud! And then Noah, the caveman, the Alpha, just someone who steals your heart and you go, yes yes you can be my caveman, any time, please! And then you also cry and your heart breaks for Luna … it is one heck of a rollercoaster journey that doesn’t leave you cold! They will haunt you for a while and remind you of the need for the next book in the series!

Blinded by Betrayal with Spin DriftBlinded by Betrayal with Spin Drift by Lisette Kristensen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Blinded by Betrayal with Spin Drift is the opening to Lisette Kristensen’s Silent Secrets series and what an opening it was! Spin Drift is actually ‘a bridge’, connecting the first book with the second one and if that is what we have to expect, there will not be a dull moment!
We have Sloane Romano, a mafia princess, the daughter of the Boss, her husband is picked up by the authorities and because he starts singing like a canary, he signs his own and Sloane’s death warrant! Sloane, who has been living a privileged life has to decide who she can trust with her life … she leaves behind her life as a dutiful daughter and a wife, her mantra will become “you need to destroy the you everyone wanted you to be, to be the real you.”
Blinded by Betrayal is Sloane’s journey to discovering who the real Sloane is and once you join her on that journey, you will want to stick as close for as long as you can! (and picturing Ziva David while reading her story!)

In the first book we got a pretty good glimpse into PJ’s mind and I think it was a pretty fascinating and hilarious place to hang out at! You settle in and you do not want to leave! Who would when you can hang out with a strong and intelligent woman! She is both a private investigator and a TV reporter! AND she has an amazing shoe collection!!!!
The second book takes us deep into PJ’s late husband’s shocking secret that puts her into danger! You try to read as fast as you can, flipping the pages, keeping your fingers crossed that PJ’s hot boss Tango will be able to keep her safe, wondering what the future will hold for her and whether she will end up being a dead girl in hot heels! Grab a bottle of wine and hide away with PJ!
