Proper Ink by Zeia Jameson was a quick romance. I would give this read a 5 out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed the pace of this book and the backstory was filled in beautifully. Luca was a fantastic read and I was impressed with the detail from a male pov. I loved the emotions and character building. Kerry was nice to read about as well. I would love to read something from her pov versus two people now describing her. This is the second book in the Jaded Lily series, I would not recommend it without reading the first book but you could.
Jumping The Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency Episode 5) by Heather Silvio was a fun continuation of the series. This book has Barbra in it who in previous books I was not a fan of because I didn’t think she was a super nice character. After this book I like her more. Overall I enjoyed the book just like the other four. The author did a good job surprising me and creating suspense. I enjoy this series! 4 star rating!

The Dreamer’s Vengeance by Helen Tyree was an epic YA fantasy that hooked me right from the start, and before I knew it, I had this wonder read in one sitting.
My first read by this author, I was pulled in by not only the cover, but the intriguing dark synopsis as well. I had a good feeling, and I’m glade I followed my gut. This book pulled me in, and it wasn’t long before I was engulfed in this magical world. Detailed and well written, this book takes you to another place, makes you feel like you’re there, and it gets all the feels fired up. The only thing that I would say, I could fault, was that, there were some transition issues between voice changes and MC’s. I did have to backtrack at times before I got what was going on; there just needs to be a clear break. Other then that, this book was everything I hoped for and more.
I loved the connecting MC’s, and the way everything played out. That hovering darkness kept you on edge, and man, this book got me in so many ways, that I can’t even get them out. There’s just so much good in this book, that it’s wroth the praise, and it’s worth your time and energy as well.
So yes this book gets my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval

I always struggle when I get the the review part of reading A Madeline Dawkins Mystery. Not for lack of good things to be said, rather I often feel like I fail to fully express how wonderful these novels are. The Trouble With Paradise, book number four of the series, is no exception to the rule. Cynthia Hamilton really has a knack for writing engaging mysteries with plenty of plot twists to keep the reader on their toes. I adore how I never find myself bored with the novel, or frankly never seem to figure things out quite like I expect them to. I love that I get to the end and always have a wonderful surprise as far as the finale of the cases goes.
In The Trouble With Paradise finds our favorite sassy and headstrong PI, Madeline working together again with Mike to try and solve the deaths of two different men. Both are husbands and leave family and friends behind that question the reasoning behind their deaths. Of course nothing is quite as it seems from the outside looking in and new things are discovered every step of the way. I was once again reading well past that ‘just a few chapters before bed’ limit, and well into the night so I could find out what was going to be the climax. It of course did not disappoint. Now the real struggle begins while I wait for the next Cynthia Hamilton book to be released!

The Trouble With Paradise (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery Book 4) by Cynthia Hamilton was an amazing read. I absolutely love this series. And the writing style of the author. I was easily drawn into the storyline from the beginning and could not put it down. There was excellent character development for all main and supporting characters. I also enjoyed the main plot and climax of the story. This series in all is a wonderful series and I do not recommend this book be read as a standalone. I highly recommend it!

Blood Relations by Lonna Enox is a sequel to The Last Dance where we met Sorrel Janes for the first time! The writer has given us another intriguing mystery that makes it really hard not to finish it in one sitting! Sorrel tumbles in the middle of a murder scene at a birding festival at a wildlife refuge when her only intent was to take loads of nature photos to sell at her gift shop and also meet up with an old friend … a fat chance … nothing goes like planned in Sorrel’s life … at least she is in with her Detective boyfriend Chris! Loads of twists and turns so settle down with a drink or cup of tea and let Lonna take you away from New Mexico to Missouri and back! I wonder what will be next for Sorrel and Chris …

My One Love by Necie Navone is the second book in the Brothers of Camelot series. I have been waiting for this book since I read the prequel series and it didn’t disappoint.
All of the brothers are amazing in their own unique way. I think they would he a fun group but I have a feeling there would be a lot of swooning by me. Still not sure which is my favorite, Jackson and Stevens are pretty high on my list but I love them all.
Lexy and Grayson finally get their story together. It has lots of romance, suspense and family in it and I loved it. It ties in the prequel so if you haven’t read those I suggest you read them first then come back to this one. You can keep up with everything but you will have the full cast of characters.
This is a very well written detailed story and so worth every minute you spend reading it. I’m so ready for the next book to find out what happens next, especially with the way this one ended.

What an incredible read! This is my first read by Mara Gan and what an amazing read it was! This book was an incredible take on Romance, Sci-Fi, Fantasy and even had a bit of a dystopian feel to it! I knew I would enjoy this read as soon as I picked it up 1 because of the synopsis of the read and 2 because of the cover! What a cover!
This was such a mentally visual read, I couldn’t help but feel as though I was being transported into the read as though I was there alongside the characters. I was totally captivated and entranced with this read, it held me captive and I couldn’t put it down until the very end! Mara Gan has an incredible writing style in which she creates an amazing storyline and then some brilliant characters and then along the way throws in some twists and turns that will keep you guessing till the end!
I’m so glad that I got the chance to read this book! I loved every minute of it and you will too! Don’t miss this read I highly recommend it!

Whom Shall I Kiss…AN Earl, A Marquess, or A Duke? Is the first book in Tricking the Scoundrels series by Laura A. Barnes. This is the start of a new series, and if this book is anything to go by, the series is set to be great. I have read all of Ms. Barnes books now, and I can honestly say this is one of my top two favourites of all her books. It is a superb historical/Regency Romance with some light-hearted drama, a little angst/push-pull, some humour, chemistry, and plenty of spice. As I have come to expect from Ms. Barnes, the story is well written, easy to read, and very engaging. I found myself invested in the character’s very early on in the story, and was cheering them on from the sidelines the whole way through. The characters were interesting and fully developed, with their own personalities, quirks and flaws- which made the story even more fun to read. Lady Sidney Hartridge is a scholarly, scientifically minded, practical, determined, and progressive young woman -who is disgusted by the double standards of the times, and sets about to try and put a stop to them by conducting a ‘social experiment’, with herself as the guinea pig. To prove her theory, she targets three gentlemen and begins ‘researching’, with the goal to lure them into kissing her… and so the fun and games begin. But can she avoid a scandal? Will she be able to remain unbiased in her ‘research’? What happens when feeling become involved? All these answers and so much more can be found between the covers of this charming story. I loved Sidney, not only was she very intelligent and beautiful- but she was also very liberal-minded, pushing the boundaries and the social norms of the times. I loved her friendship with her best friend Sophia (Phee)- they made a great team. I loved Noah, and quite liked Rory too- but the jury is still out when it comes to Alex… I am hoping the next book will allay my fears. The only thing that I wasn’t a huge fan of in this book, was getting multiple POV’s in one chapter, sometimes two POV’s in one paragraph. But it didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the story, it’s just a personal preference of mine to have separate POV’s per chapter. A wonderful start to the series and I am really looking forward to exploring the other instalments!

I am new to this author. I got this book because of the synopsis and the tattooed guy. I regret NOTHING! This book was amazing from cover to cover. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down, I finished it in one day! It was very well written and the author has a way of making you fall in love with the characters. The story line was remarkable and I would highly recommend this story to anyone into romance novels. I look forward to reading more in the series and more from this author!
Blackbird’s Deliverance is the fourth book in the Silent Secrets Series by Lisette Kristensen, Her stories are always a good read. She hooks the readers at the very beginning. It is that hook that makes you want to finish the book. I love reading her stories because she likes to have women characters being the heros. She builds the characters story up from the beginning and with every story, Blackbird gets stronger and more of a bad mama jammer. One thing was for sure at some point and time, Blackbird’s past life would catch up with her present life. Will Blackbird handle the internal struggles or will it break her to pieces? Can she move forward with her new love interest?

Orion’s Kiss by Claire Luana My rating 4 out of 5 stars
Orion’s Kiss is a fun read. There is so much going on in this book, magic, mystery, drama, and a little bit of romance.
Meriah or Merope as she is known as, is the daughter of Atlas. She spends lifetime upon lifetime trying to find ways to break the curse on her and her sisters. The curse causes all of her sisters to die at the hands of the God Orion.
Orion is her enemy as he is the one killing her sisters, but it seems that Orion and Meriah start a romance that may not be in the cards. It looks like Meriah will have to kill Orion in order to break the curse and save her sisters from dying again.
Overall a great read. I loved the Greek mythology and history that was thrown in. I would highly recommend this book.

Sidney is her father’s daughter, she would rather be doing research than attending the balls girls of her age and class normally do. She hates the double standard of the men of the ton getting away with things that would ruin a lady if she were to do the same. So she decides to put her research skills to the test. She decides to trade her practical clothing for something much more alluring and act like the giggly girl they expect. She wants to see if her theory is true. But she may have gotten in a little too deep. She has 3 men fighting for her, and things are moving much more quickly than she could have imagined. Will she be able to walk away with her data or will she disgrace herself and her family? Or will she find what she never expected — love?
I enjoyed this historical romance. It is fun to see a strong woman buck a society that was all male. Sidney and Sophia are great characters. I hope to see more of Sophia in future books. But the other secondary characters are great too and I hope we also see more of them. There is so much more to develop in the world. You never know just what Sidney will do next or how her suitors will react. We cannot forget the romantic part of this story too. The men all love at her differently, and she starts seeing things in a different light too.
If you are a fan of historical romance, this fun story is for you.

This is one of my favourite books of 2019 so far! I absolutely LOVE historical romance reads, it is by far my favourite genre – I could read them all day every day and this one was just fantastic! I loved everything about this story, the plot, the characters the author beautiful descriptive language – everything just made this story come alive whilst I was reading it. Sidney was a fantastic female lead, I love when authors write about strong, independent females in this time period – they are so much more exciting to read about. I loved Sidney’s approach to ‘dating’ she certainly had a plan and intended to stick to it! I can’t wait to read more from this series – I have a feeling it’s going to bout a wonderful collection of characters in my favourite time period!

Another great read by this author! I was intrigued when I first read the blurb for this story, it didn’t pull me in like I expected but it sounded really different and having read a book by this author previously I wanted to give it a go because I wanted to see where the series was going – I am so glad I did give it a go! I loved that I had no idea what was going to happen, the author threw in some great twists and turns – she has this writing style that captures your interest straight away and doesn’t let you out of the story until the very end. It followed on fro book 1 well and I was back in with Sorrel and her story straight away. I highly recommend Blood Relation – it’s an action packed read full of suspense and great characters!
Another fantastic 5 star book in this series! I honestly cannot get enough of this author and her amazing writing. Her books are so exciting to read and I just love the characters that she creates. Blackbird’s Deliverance may have been a short story but it was crammed full of action which started straight away. I loved reading more about Blackbird she is such a wonderful character, so strong and determined in everything that she does. There were some great twists and turns and I certainly found myself on the edge of my seat on more than one occasion! I cannot wait to see if there is more to come from this series – I really hope that there is!!

Hamilton is at it again. Bringing adventure and mystery and a little bit more romance to Madeline and Mike. Their latest adventure includes some dead husbands and confused widows. Even Madeline isn’t free from the danger her ex-husband brings but with Mike’s help and the help of her staff at MDPI nothing is going to get in Maddie’s way of solving these mysteries!
I am really enjoying the adventures that Hamilton is able to put Mike and Madeline through. Just enough danger to worry, just enough mystery to wonder, just enough love to keep us hoping. Hamilton’s writing style hasn’t changed from Book 1. She is definitely on a roll with this series. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

The Girls across the Bay (The Knox and Sheppard Mysteries, Book 1) by Emerald O’Brien

This is my first book by this author and although I seriously enjoyed it, it took me a bit to get in to it, and there were parts I had to go back and reread because at times it was hard to follow or a bit wordy.
This was about 2 young girls that started out as friends and then became sisters and their journey through foster care into adulthood. The storyline was amazing and the attention to detail was done perfectly. Living the same story through two different perspectives was unique and I did by the middle of the story find myself completely invested and I could not put the book down.
I loved the bond between Madigan and Grace and watching them both deal with life in their own ways was awesome. I love crime stories and I love trying to figure it all out with them and I will say this one totally threw me, and that’s what makes me love reading this genre.
I highly recommend this story and I can’t wait for more from this author.

It has been awhile since I read the 1st in this series, which I loved by the way and it says a lot about an author in my opinion when I pick another book up down the road after reading a trillion in between and the whole first comes back to me immediately..The characters from the first book weave through this one and we met the mains of this one in the first book. I’m not normally a fan of books running alongside each other in some parts but in this one it definitely worked.
What can I say about Luca? I fell head over heels for him and my heart completely shattered for him, I loved getting to know him as he fascinated me in the first book. I love his friendship with Padraig and his connection with Kerry was off the charts hot and completely awesome. This is probably the 2nd or 3rd book I’ve read where the whole story is told from the lead male’s perspective and I loved it!!
This author transported me into this story and I could see everything described, Luca was an artist and I swear I could see and feel all that he did. It was awesome!
You could probably read this as a standalone but I am so glad I didn’t and I can not wait for the next story in this series.

I loved the storyline and the characters and often found myself laughing out loud at some of the thoughts and antics of the characters. It is a story I found myself not wanting to put it down turning page after page. I enjoyed Laura’s writing and the plot was well thought out. The MC is quite charming and is very likable, and I found myself enjoying the trouble she found herself in. I also enjoyed the character of Noah he is swoon worthy scoundrel but a fun character.
Sidney is a young socialite who does not play by the rules. She has decided to do an experiment to prove her theory on the goings on of the men of the ton. But what happens when the wheels are turned. Will she lose her chance at love.
It is a heartwarming tale and one who should not be missed. I look forward to Phee’s story next.

The Dreamer’s Vengeance by Helen Tyree is a YA fantasy story that is action packed and a little dark in some places. This is my first read of Helen’s work and I enjoyed the story and I found her writing to be creative and unique and the well developed characters. Helen wove her tale that takes you on a vivid journey. There are many main characters and each of them tell their story throughout. The only problem I had was that there is no clear definition of when the characters are telling their story so I had to backtrack a little at times until I got the bones of Helen’s writing. It is a story that you will sit and devour as you need to know how it will all end. What happens when greed and lies call to you?
It is an enjoyable read and any YA who loves fantasy will like it too.

This is a wonderful story about past lives and love and how things we think about someone turn out to be untrue.
Meriah Carmichael is a young teenage girl in this life, however she was a half- nymph, half Titan in a previous life. Thanks to Zeus her and her sisters end up cursed, her part of the curse is that she gets a new life every time she dies but she has to watch her sisters die at the hands of Orion.
This time she plans to end this curse by killing Orion. However Orion isn’t who she thinks he is and love grows between them as they set off together as a team to break the curse.
It was an amazing story filled with highs and lows and proves that love can do anything

I loved the fact that Sidney has such an analytical mind and is putting it to use in order to expose the men who ruin reputations of women for fun. It was a bit difficult to suspend my disbelief that any of these men would actually face any repercussions at all but you never know, so I kept on reading. With a bit of a scientific mind myself, I honestly think I was more drawn to the parameters and different aspects of Sidney’s research than any other bits of the story. I kept wondering how she was going to make sure all of her information was going to be accurate if she was mostly going off memory. My first thought would be that Sophia would be helping take notes but she immediately struck me as to timid/ sensible to jeopardize her own future for this, and I would not blame her one bit. In comparison to a few other books I have read based around this time period and the life of the ton, Whom Shall I Kiss? is a lovely difference from other heroines who are concerned with family and finding a good match because it’s expected. While they each had their own nuances, I felt I could relate more to Sidney than others. Very excited for the next book.

The Trouble With Paradise (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery Book 4) by Cynthia Hamilton is a wonderfully written Book that will grab your attention from the beginning and doesn’t let up until the last page. I’ve truly enjoyed this series and I highly recommend reading it if you haven’t already. In this book we find Mike and Madeline back at it with two cases with two different women. They have to find out if one took their own life and the other one if they was set up for there husband’s death. Can they find the secrets these two men were had? I loved Two Hearts Under Fire, by Tamara Ferguson. I have read most of the books in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance series, and have liked every one I’ve read. This, like the others, can be read as a stand alone book. The main 2 characters are unique to this story, but some of the supporting characters overlap the other stories. This is the story of Russ Quinlan and Claire Ellis. I love the characters and the connections made. There are some secrets revealed at the end, which I loved! Russ is an airman, and is being framed and on trial, being blamed for conspiring and setting up a capture on one of his prior missions. One day after his trial, he goes to the house of his friend Brand. Brand isn’t home, but he meets Claire there, and before they even have time to exchange pleasantries, they are being shot at. They go on the run together, avoiding the gunman, not even sure which of them was the target. Their escape turns into a grand adventure, where sparks fly as they try to find safety. But, is the chemistry between them real, or the result of the adrenaline rush of being on the run? Read and find out!

Blood Relations (The Sorrel Janes Mysteries) by Lonna Enox 5 stars
I really loved the first book in this series, and this one just turned it up a notch on the mystery, suspense and just overall twists. We still follow Sorrel and her bad luck of having bad things happen around her. I can’t go into too many details as its best to read about it, but this author has such a way to drag you along for this whirlwind ride and just when you think you have an idea of what is going on, it changes. Again I was frustrated with Reed, even more this time than the first. But as an officer I get it to a point, for the secrecy. I just wanted to shake him a little (hes fictional it wouldn’t hurt him lol) Again, I am loving this series and can’t wait to see what happens next.
Happily Ever After by Necie Navone is a Novel in the Brothers of Camelot series. This is a brilliant series! If you aren’t familiar with it, or this author, then you need to change that right now. Bella and Fitz has such a connection between them. You can feel the chemistry on every single page. The whole book was well written. You really feel like you are there with the characters. The author does a great job of creating that picture for you. I am already excited to see what else there is from this author and would recommend you try her today!

Claire Luana has done it again, this isn’t my first book from this author but each time I read a book from her I once again get transported into the world she has created, and this one is no different! I found this read to be mentally visual and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I absolutely loved her take on Greek Mythology, it is something that gets recreated a-lot but Claire Luana has a way with creating her stories that are magical. I was totally captivated with this read from the start, and the more I read the more addicted I got with the storyline and the characters. My only issue with this read is that we didn’t get a POV from Orion, there were definite times when this was needed, just to give us that little bit extra of Orion.
I can’t wait to see what else is to come from this author, she will definitely be another one of my go-to authors from now on! But until then! Don’t miss Orion’s Kiss – You won’t be disappointed!
