This book is out of this world! From the storyline, detail of the worlds and characters to the action that is packed onto the pages. It was hard to put this book down. You follow many different characters through time and space that all have one thing in common, they hear a voice. From someone that doesn’t know much about the MultiVerse this story was a tad bit different for me to read. But it made me want to learn more so I would understand better. Even though this story is detailed and very well written, you need to pay attention to everything. Which makes you want to read it again. Plus, there is a guide of characters at the beginning of the book just in case you forget someone! That helped a ton.

This book of Poems, Prose, and Pictures was very enjoyable to read. Different sections are introduced which was perfect. “As I See It”, I enjoyed “Smiles” and “Trust on Sports” and I loved the “Environment” section as well. In between there are some just simple but perfect sketchings within some of the sections of the book. At the end are some short stories. This book is short but really made me think on some topics. Very well done!

This booked hooked me from the beginning and I held on til the end…and now I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!
Saffie is married to the VP of a MC. She is used and abused and definitely not treated like the old ladies we have gotten to know throughout this series. When she ends up in the hospital…she is given an opportunity that she can’t refuse.
Niran is a member of the San Diego chapter of Satan’s Devils. He is a former Marine that has found a family in the MC. When helping out one of his brother’s women, he crosses paths with Saffie. His protector side comes out and he finds himself wanting to be her friend…because she obviously needs one!
As the truth of Saffie’s past comes out, Niran finds that he will have major hurdles to overcome just to be friends with her. Gah..this book was amazing. I found myself glued to the story because I needed to know what was going to happen. Like all the books in the series…the other members of the MC (and their spouses) all play a significant role in the story. And I have not figured out what’s up with Niran’s sister yet…but it can’t be good. I will definitely be waiting for book 2 to come out because this one ends on quite the cliffhanger!

I loved this story as the first in the series it lays some of the groundwork for the series but it is gripping from the first word written. The story is full of twists and turns with gangs and mobsters, killings, manipulation in buckets.
The secondary character provide a great arc within the story and I loved how they all interacted with each other and love the way the story weaves and finishes off brilliantly. This is not the first book I have read by this author but this maybe the best series I have read in a long-time. I recommend this book if you love Mob bosses, strong men but even stronger female heroines.

This was my first book by Tijan and I went in blind without reading anything about it. I was immediately engaged in this book and thought the author brilliantly brought all the characters, their feelings, and relationships together. I enjoyed all the angst, found myself laughing, crying and cussing lol. The chemistry between Dusty and Stone was unpalpable, but all of the secondary characters were just as enthralling. Tijan, did a very good job of how drama generally is among girls. This book really pulled at the heart strings and you kind of dropped your mouth open from the first chapter. The only thing I would have liked seeing since this isn’t a series is in the epilogue you have no idea what happened to any of the secondary characters which was disappointing. I can’t wait to read other Tijan books!
I have lived in the shadow of my sister for far too long, well I want to live my life and be free. Then in walked him and changed my life completely.
Jody is stuck in a carousel going round in circles, she is beholden to her twin sister the country music star, Jilly but Jody has had enough of the constant antics of her sister and wants to just be her. That’s when in Germany she meet him, Holt is just what she needs to escape the hamster wheel.
Holt is in a rut of his own, in the Air Force on leave and decided to enjoy the local sites and sample the German ladies, but when he see Jody he knows he needs to help and protect her from the life she is in at the moment, but can he recuse her and let her take flight.
This book was well written and I loved the two main characters of Holt and Jody, the chemistry just popped off the page and was a pleasure to read. I must admit I could have smacked her sister with the tricks and demands she was pushing but how the author wrote a character who took everything in her stride was refreshing. I felt so sorry for Jody and loved the fact that she found Holt and that he was perfect for her.
Although this book is part of a series, it can be read as part of the series or a stand alone story and you would be able to follow perfectly. This is not the first book I have read by this author and certainly will not be the last.

Well, I am a sucker for a friends to lovers story and this one doesn’t disappoint! Belinda Williams pulls together well developed characters and a believable story line into a sweet and a little bit steamy romance… With a supporting cast that keeps you laughing and makes you believe in those ride or die friends, this one delivers. I enjoyed the build up and surprises that happened around each corner. I’ll be looking for another book from this author!

“Journeys Through SpaceTime” is a hard-to-classify book for sure. It’s a combo of New Age/Sci-Fi/Fantasy w/ edge-of-my-seat action and mind-bending world-building. In this book, we meet characters in multiple worlds, occupying somewhat-familiar Earth time periods, such as ancient Egypt, Shogunate Japan, a futuristic Europe, and present-day Colorado. The book started slowly for me, b/c it was hard to switch between the plot lines/characters in the different worlds we visited. But again, the suspense and great action scenes kept me pulled into the various scenarios, although honestly, some of the worlds felt like “Star Trek” fan fiction – which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The plots in each world explored had nothing to do w/ one another – except for supernatural beings helping our heroes during meditation – until the book ended w/ a nice set-up for book #2 in the series. To try to present a synopsis of each of the worlds would make the review far too long; suffice it to say that the characters in each world are engaging. And the good-versus-evil theme throughout is my absolute favorite! And – I dearly LOVE the cover! My rating is dragged down by the sheer number of characters to try to remember. It did help that I I read the final 50%+ in one sitting. Adjectival descriptions and certain phrases became repetitive, which was either annoying or a method of unifying the chapters; I’m not sure which. I enjoyed the book; I just don’t feel that it quite deserved four stars, so I have grudgingly rounded it down to 3 stars. That being said, I may read Book #2 at some point, just to see if I can re-visit some of the great characters introduced in this book.

I could not put this book down. If you are looking for a heart warming, emotion tugging story, look no further than The Heart of Baker Bay. Danielle Jacks created a magical place in Clover Bay with descriptions so detailed, I could picture every scene clearly in my head. There are times in our lives where we don’t know we need someone until the universe throws them at us, and that is a lot like Adam and Jody. Both of the characters needed to do some growing in their own way, but couldn’t do it without leaning on one another. This book would make a great feel-good, Romantic Comedy movie!

I really enjoyed this book. The story was captivating and I couldn’t put it down. The main character was someone I could understand and relate to. As a mother myself with a son if I was to experience what she had I would have the same feelings of anger and revenge in mind.
When Samantha found out her son had died at the hands of his girlfriend all she see is red. Her heart is broken and as well as grief and is also consumed with anger and can only think of getting revenge on the person who murdered her son. When her son’s friend Micah came to her with a proposition to leave her life as a retired school teacher behind and become a secret assassin in exchange for getting her son’s killer brought to justice, she jumps at the chance. Will Samantha finally get justice for her son? Can she really become an assassin instead of a retired school teacher who sings in a church choir? Will the job of bringing bad people to justice give her a purpose in life again?

Mary is a single mom, trying to juggle a wayward teenager who is determined to send her insane before her 18th birthday. Alicia’s new torture is to be a model, but Mary is not happy with her going alone as something does not seem right and how right Mary was. With the help of the handsome MC rider can they get themselves out of the mess they have got themselves in.
I love all of the series written by Manda Mellett and this does not disappoint, I loved the relationship between Mary and Grumbler as they seem like an unlikely couple but are so perfect for each other. Also, this is a great older couple story its not all the young people who can find love, the chemistry between was brilliant and the way the characters have been developed made them believable and relatable. The relationship also between Mary and her daughter was brilliantly written and in the end I loved how it all concluded.
I can’t ain’t wait to read the next instalment in this series.

I have been running from my past, I finally thought I had but in steps a man who I thought could rebuild me but end ups being part of the old me.
Saffie has tried hard to escape and run from the horrendous past that still haunts her but she is strong and can overcome the past in time but when one day when she believes her salvation has come into her life just to find out he is part of the world she is running from.
Niran was forced to take his VP’s Old lady to her prenatal appointment and what joy that’s going to be, but when he walks into the room he sees her and there is instant chemistry. Niran knows the look of a woman in need and with the draw he has to Saffie he will do anything to help her.
This is a brilliant instalment to this series and a well written, intriguing story. I loved the chemistry between these two characters and you are just willing them to get together, but there is some hard hitting storylines which was delicately written and has you drawn in from the beginning.
I loved the character of Saffie who was strong and over come so much heartbreak and evil that it breaks your heart but her will carries on. Niran’s character is definitely a brilliant counter to Saffie and his pure determination to prove himself was also brilliant to read.
I can’t wait for the next book as I want to see how this ends.

This is such a sweet story! Its very enjoyable to read. The banter and struggles are fun and realistic. The characters are easy to love. They brought smiles to my face and joy to my heart. Adam seemed so grumpy and sometimes just plain mean. As the story progresses we learn why he is that way and what his struggles are. I love his job..its just down to earth. Jody deems herself a failure…pretty much at life. Her last ditch effort turns out to be the best thing that ever happened to her. Watching Jody and Adam overcome their strife and coming out the other side as better people was a delight.
Secondary characters are just and fun, crazy and different as the two main ones. Gram, Sarah, Hannah heck even the townies make me smile.
One of my favorite things about this authors stories is how she makes everything come together. Even the smallest detail which normally I would just ignore or blow off..she makes it part of the story. I love that! That epilogue just added to the charm of the story. Thank you!

Out Of Time by Toni Denise is the fourth book in the Westbeach series. This book can be read as a stand-alone even though it is the final book of the series. This is a completely new author to me so I didn’t know what to expect when I started reading. What I found was a great story that was fairly easy to ready with some great characters. The story was well ell thought out and the overall book had a great pace to it. The story just seemed to flow. I really enjoyed the connection between the two main characters. It was instant and lovely to see play out throughout the book. I thought this book was a good one to introduce me to the author. I think it have an all round view as to the writing style. After this book I know I will be checking out more.

I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I began reading The Monster That Ate My Mommy, only that it was a memoir and most likely filled with possibly troubling events. Told from the point-of-view of the author in vivid first-person, this book delivered on more than I was expecting. People say healing comes when you share your stories of pain, memories no one wants to think about, and I believe the author was trying to do just that by sharing her story with us. As someone who struggles with their own inner darkness, I know there must be some freedom that comes with not only sharing a troubled life but embracing the past – acknowledging it happened – and moving on to live the life you know you deserve. We hear about things that happen to people as they grow up, things that mold them into the person they are or will become, but we never get that insight that comes from a truly candid telling. This book will tear at your heart at times, make you silently hope certain things won’t come to pass, but inevitably do. But at the same time, there’s a certain understanding and insight that comes with this comprehensive tale.

Mr Nice Guy by Belinda Williams a fun five-star read. This is the first story in the Pierce Brothers series, and I am excited for the next story in the series as this has been fun and romantic and just nice to read. Chelsea reminds me of me, I used to adore the bad boys, and didn’t see the appeal of the nice guy, until I married one. I oved how the story showed, that just because someone appears one way, they may not always be that way. This will suck you in and Chelsea will annoy you, but she will also endear you, at least she did with me. Belinda Williams writes a good funny romcom always.

Unlikely in Love by Olivia Sherwood a likely five-star read. This is the first book in the Parker Lane Novel series, this author has me wishing I lived in small town America, instead of the rainy small village in Wales I currently live in. She writes characters that you can’t help but fall in love with and want to help them. It’s almost like when you are watching a scary movie and the hot blonde goes up the dark stairs and you shout at the TV, I was like that reading this book, at one point calling someone an idiot and telling them to pull their head from the dark. I got some strange looks in work for that one. There was also some other looks for inappropriate giggling, but I didn’t care. I was like read this book then look at me like that again. If you want to read a book from what is going to be a very promising series, then this is the book for you. This author is one of those writers that once you pick up you will want to read everything they publish, she has a way of getting into your brain with her words. (In a good way)

Lake of Flowers by N.L. Holmes a fantastic five-star read. This is number five in the Lord Hani Mysteries and we follow Hani on his journey, you don’t have to read them in order as they all focus on a different main story, and just follow Hani as he creates and solves mysteries, that always makes writing reviews for this series difficult, as I never know what to say without spoiling the mystery and the drama, as the author has a great way of keeping that tension level high and keeping you guessing. If you like a good mystery, then you need to pick this series up.

A grumpy old man and a mom with a teenage daughter. I was not sure where the story was going to go when the group meet for the first time but what a ride it was. Each page kept me engaged an turning the page to find out what happens next Thank you Manda for Grumbler’s story!

A gripping novel of romantic suspense which had me gripped from page one. Lifelong tourist and adventure seeker Jessica was born with the travel bug but after years on the move she decides to open a bed and breakfast. However when Will, who has taken on his sisters children whilst she’s in rehab turns up at her B&B things take a dangerous turn for them both. Will decides to move himself and the children to a B&B for their safety when he starts to receive increasingly threatening letters demanding money. Will was definitely not thinking about falling in love when he sought refuge at a B&B but once he meets Jessica he thinks she could steal his heart. I loved the main characters and thought that both Jessica and Will were likeable and relatable characters which helped me feel engaged with them. The storyline flowed well and the plot twists kept me hooked and I found this to be a page turner of a novel. Both the set and the characters were bought to life by the authors descriptive narrative. I liked how the relationship developed between Jessica and Will despite the dangers they faced and their chemistry definitely came across in the writing. I read this as a standalone story but it is book four in the ‘Westbeach Series’, which I am now keen to read.

Taking Flight Code of Honor Book 2 By Brooke May ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a full length novel, with those hot military men and the women in their lives. Jody Meadows is everything her sister is not. Having an identical twin sister who is making it big in the music industry, is not as glamorous as one would think. Jody is just as talented as her sister, but not in the eyes of her family. It has come to the time of following her own dreams. Holt Preston is an Air Force Pilot. He is stuck on leave and just wants a good time out with his buddies. Maybe Find a one nighter and move on. Germany has the best beer and women so why not indulge? Only that is not what he found. Finding more than he has bargained for, Holt has much more to think about. Should Holt follow his heart? Could Jody finally break free from her sister and take flight? Only reading this story will answer those questions.
Brooke May is a new author for me, but sometimes you must give others a chance. Therefore Romance and Military is my new find. This story drew me in on page 1 and continued up till the end. Brooke has hit the nail on the head with this exciting romance. Holt and Jody could be the beginning to an amazing series. I am looking forward to reading more from Brooke May. Well Done Brooke May! I have read books of poems before but Lines by Leon touches on topics that really make you think. It gives you a look at how someone else is feeling and their opinions about personal viewpoints, the environment, sports and more. The one I really liked was The First Snow. Reading Lines by Leon just makes you feel something, it’s a book about poems, music lyrics, prose, and just thoughts. I definitely can not wait for another collection From Leon Stevens. I really love his writing.

Very intriguing book. A trip between the past and present that gives a view into a momma wanting revenge for her son’s killer. I would too if given the choice. It was a very original plot written with her falling into the misfits. Being a momma, I could feel every feeling she went through. The pain, sorrow, sadness and every other feeling our children put us through. A really wonderful suspense story that I would definitely recommend.

Just when you think you know what’s going to happen, a twist is thrown in and changes the story! I haven’t read a ton of suspense/romance novels but I think this one opened my eyes to the possibility of reading more because of the emotions I went through trying to figure out how it was all going to end! I loved the character development as well – I really felt like I knew the characters, even the side characters!

Book Review: Avenging Devil, Part ONE Author: Manda Mellett FIVE STARS UGH a cliff hanger !!. However that does not discourage me. I absolutely LOVE Saffie and Niran. They have a VERY hard road ahead of them. But OH MY the feels that Niran is experiencing are DEEP. Saffie… my heart is going out to her and I don’t know that I can wait until part two is released before I start hyperventilating. Saffie’s story is heartbreaking. She is abused and tortured, it is no wonder she finds it hard to trust anyone and especially Niran since he is in an MC. UGH I just want them to find their happy-ever-after. LOVE LOVE LOVE this story. KLH
