What She Lost and Found
By: M.L. Garcia
5 out of 5 stars

The story What She Lost and Found by M.L. Garcia is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It is a story that hooked me in from the beginning and didn’t let go until the ending page. It is an emotional journey that I found both heartbreaking and heartwarming. I loved reading about the character of Daniela Franco. She is someone who because of the past doesn’t trust easily and is careful who she lets into her life. Her journey has her taking chances of building trust and includes the possibility of finding love. Reading about how Daniela feels is at times sad however there are other times that have her experiencing happiness. How will Daniela cope when secrets from the past begin to resurface? Read this book to find out. This story includes emotional dialogue. My emotions went up and down the entire time I read the story. I found myself angry and sad about some situations that happen. There are other times where you can’t help but feel the good emotions and hope that Daniela has. The story has additional characters that are introduced and I enjoyed reading about the part they play in Daniela’s life and their interactions with her. The story flows smoothly and was a joy to read. This is a book that touches the heart and has amazing characters. Don’t miss out on reading it. I would highly recommend it.

Annabel is a woman who is beautiful and independent. She is a treasure hunter and has found wonderful things when she bids and wins a storage unit. She soon finds herself caught up in an investigation headed by Ethan. Ethan shows himself to be protective of Annabel. Danger follows the investigation into a rash of wedding burglaries. The story Infamy (Feisty Lawyers Book 2) by Seelie Kay is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It is thrilling, has plenty of mystery, and kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It is a fast-paced story that is full to twists and turns. When a warning is given regarding a plot against the United States Sheikh Harun Ali, his wife Marianne, along with their neighbors Cade Matthews and his wife Janet MacLachlan are working the case. 5 out of 5 stars

The story Vortex by Kimberly Packard is a wonderful book that I enjoyed reading. The story is both emotional and takes you on a high-speed ride with storm chasers. It at times had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I loved reading about the character of Elaina Adams. She is strong, independent, and has a determination to get her doctorate. A memory has been awakened when she has a close encounter in a storm. She now finds herself looking for answers while putting herself in danger with each new storm she chases. Will Elaina find the answers that she seeks? There are also two other characters that play a part in this story. One of them is Seth Maddux. He is a man who is trying to get his career back on track. He also finds himself very attracted to Elaina. Robert Tucker or “Tuck” is a man that runs a storm chasing business. Because of betrayal, Elaina is forced to pair up with him. Tuck is a man that seems to be more out for himself, so I wondered what his motives were. This story has emotional and intense dialogue. It has times that are sad and heartbreaking. There are other times when the fast pace and danger that comes with chasing storms is felt. My emotions went up and down with the characters. Elaina is a character that I grew to care for with each chapter that I read. Don’t miss out on a story that will pull you in and won’t let go until the end. I would highly recommend reading it.

The story MOVIE STAR (21st Century Courtesan Book 2) by Pamela DuMond is a new adult/romance book. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the end. It is a book that has steamy/seductive scenes. There are also moments when I wondered what was going to happen next. The story kept me turning pages. One of the main characters is a 21st-century Courtesan. She is a woman who is beautiful, strong, and independent. She is someone who helps others. She is a character whose life is intriguing and complicated. Her current assignment is Jake Keller, a movie start that could be called broken. Will she be able to find out the truth behind why Jake has shut down? Read this story to find out. This book had my emotions going up and down the entire time I read it. I found Jake to be a character that could be described as kind, good-hearted, with a heavy burden. He is a character that I grew to care about and wished for him to be happy. There are additional characters that are included some of which I enjoyed reading about and others I had to wonder as to their agenda and motives. There is emotional and intense dialogue. The story The Perfect Duchess (The Macalisters Book 2) by Erica Taylor is a historical romance book. This is a story that takes you back to a time when whispers and gossip rule the day. Situations can evolve into scandal no matter how innocent or untrue the rumors are. I found myself getting lost in this book and the time period that it is set in. I loved reading about the characters of Andrew Macalister and Lady Clara Masson. Andrew, who is also known as the Stone Duke of Bradstone, is a man that seems to be hard and cold. He does the duties and responsibilities that are expected of him. This does come at a cost to him personally. Lady Clara is a woman who others in society avoid and dismiss. When her life is threatened by her brother Andrew steps up to save her by proposing marriage. He wants to keep her safe and protected. How deep do his feelings for Clara run? Will Clara trust Andrew with her heart? What does the future hold for both Andrew and Clara? Read this book to find out. This story has romantic dialogue and some steamy scenes. 5 out of 5 stars

The story Deepest Midnight: Book One of the Immortal Kindred Series by Clara Winter is a paranormal romance book. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and didn’t let go until I had read the final page. I loved the attention to detail that the story has and it felt like I was right there with the characters experiencing what they did. I loved reading about the character of Millicent. She is an immortal/vampire who still feels grief because of the past. She finds herself caught unaware when she finds herself looking into the eyes of a man who looks just like her long dead love. She meets him and finds out the man’s name is Jack. I could feel the desire and attraction between them. While they label what they are doing as having fun, it is not long before Millicent feels strong emotions for Jack. One of the issues she must face is Alexandre, Millicent’s maker and companion who is firmly against the relationship. What will Millicent do? Will she give in to Alexandre as he is the one that has protected and saved her in the past or will she go forward on a path of her own choosing, one that could lead her to happiness again? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. Millicent is a character that I grew to love with each chapter that I read and found myself wanting her to be happy. I found that the story flowed smoothly and enjoyed the transitioning from the modern day setting to the 18th century. My emotions went up and down with the characters throughout the entire book. Don’t miss out on a wonderful romance story that includes immortals/vampires and kept me mesmerized until the end. It is a book I would highly recommend reading. It is the first story in a series and I look forward to reading the next one.

The story Penny For Your Thoughts: A Sweet Romance (Sand Dollar Series Book 1) by J. D. Boudreaux is a contemporary romance book. 5 out of 5 stars

The story Salvation: An Ash Park Prequel Novella by Meghan O’Flynn is a book that I loved reading. I have already read the other stories in the Ash Park series and enjoyed reading another book with the character of Edward Petrosky. This novella is when Ed is a patrol officer. He is in love with his fiancé Heather. Then in one night, his dreams for the future are destroyed when he finds Heather’s bloody body half-buried in the snow. Now pain and grief surround him. Who killed Heather? Why was she killed? When another body is found, one that has a connection to where Heather volunteered her time and to the same church she attended, more questions are raised. Will Ed ignore the rules and sacrifice his career to get justice for Heather? Will the killer be caught? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has twists and turns. There is suspense and I found myself on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. Trying to figure out who was responsible for the crimes being committed is like trying to solve a puzzle. I found myself trying to put together the pieces. Ed is a character that is haunted by his past and a character that I could empathize with. He also has a sharp mind and good instincts. There are other characters that are introduced in this story that I also liked reading about. They are helpful to Ed. Then there are those who have their own agenda and don’t care about who is hurt or the consequences. This is a story that will hook you in and won’t let go until you finish it. I would highly recommend reading it.

The story Pandora’s Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2) by Sacha T. Y. Fortune’ is a contemporary romance book. This is a story that drew me in from the very beginning and had me hooked. I found myself getting lost in the pages reading about Darren and Luisa. I enjoyed reading their story. It is moving and makes you wonder what you would do if in their situation. Their lives and marriage are at the very least what you could call complicated. Issues of trust, jealousy, and consequences make up their world. There is emotional and confrontational dialogue/interactions between Darren and Luisa as well as some of the other characters. There are times when I would be puzzled by the actions taken by the characters and wondered what would happen because of them. The story is told from both of this couple’s POV. As you read each of their perspectives you get to know their characters and the challenges that they face. How do Darren and Luisa deal with their emotions and life together? 5 out of 5 stars

The story Caught in the Spin (the Caught Series Book 2) by Sharleen Scott is a wonderful romance book. It does have some mystery and suspense included and scenes that had me wondering what was going to happen next and how everything would work out. I loved reading about the characters of Tallie Peters and Tom Black. Tallie is a strong and independent woman. She believes that her life has taken a turn for the better with her current job and also getting to meet the handsome former bull rider, Tom Black. Tom is a man who takes pride in his work and takes his job seriously. His life has casual hookups rather than any sort of relationships. Then he meets Tallie. There is an attraction between them. When Tallie fears that her ex-husband will stop at nothing to take her son, Tom offers her shelter. Will Tom be able to keep Tallie and her son protected and safe from harm? How far is Tallie’s ex-husband willing to go with his plans? Read this book to find out. Both Tallie and Tom are characters that I grew to care about with each chapter that I read. They both deserve happiness and I found myself rooting for them to find it. My emotions went through highs and lows when reading this book. There are intense and romantic scenes. I loved that a couple of the characters from the first book in the series crossed over into this one. You can feel the friendship and feeling of family in their interactions. This is a story that I didn’t want to put down until I had read the final page. It is a wonderful second book in the series and one you will not want to miss out on. Bound (The Torzial Affair Book 2)
By: Via Mari
5 out of 5 stars

The story Bound (The Torzial Affair Book 2) by Via Mari is the next amazing book in a series that I would call romantic, steamy, and intense. I would recommend reading this series in order as situations from the first book to the second continue and characters overlap. It makes for a better understanding of what is going on. This story has Jenny and Brian’s romance and exploration of each other progressing. While there is a connection and chemistry that is felt, there are also times when conclusions are jumped to and doubts about trust occur. They are also having to deal with those who want to convict Jenny of the murder of her ex and other forces that are dangerous. Jenny is such a feisty and intelligent woman. She does, however, feel that her life is being turned upside down and spinning out of control. Brian is determined to protect Jenny. He is also dealing with strong emotions and feelings that include jealousy. New threats quickly appear and seem to never end. Read this book to find what happens. This story does have plenty of steamy scenes and dirty talking. There are times when situations arise that I wondered how much this couple will have to go through. There are times of danger and threats that have me wondering what is going to happen next. I enjoyed reading about the part that the additional characters play in the story. Many of them are familiar from the first book and are ones that Jenny and Brian can trust. Others have their own agenda and plans. Can they be stopped? Don’t miss out on the next exciting and steamy book in a series that I highly recommend reading. I can’t wait to read the next story.

By: Nivia Borell
5 out of 5 stars

The story Shattered Love: Book one of the “Forever us” series by Nivia Borell is a contemporary romance book. This is a story that is powerful, raw, and emotional. It is a book that had me upset or angry at times with what was happening and also with tears in my eyes. It is one of those books that when I finished all I can say is “Wow!” Once I started, I couldn’t bring myself to put it down until I had read the final page. The story of Bria du Mont and Damien du Sky is one that touched my heart. It also had my heart breaking. These two had a love that was undeniable. They were soulmates. That is until the day that Damien finds her in bed with another man. Bria and Damien both become workaholics. Bria has broken heart syndrome and becomes emotionally numb. Damien drowns himself in alcohol, anger, and jealousy. This is a book that had my emotions going on an up and down rollercoaster ride. Both Bria and Damien can’t seem to stay away from each other even after all that has happened. The past seems to always have a hold on them. What are the secrets that they uncover about the tragic night when their world was shattered? The dialogue/interactions between Bria, Damien, and the other characters in the story are at times intense. This is the first story in a series and I can’t wait to read the next one.

The story Rainy Day Lovers (The Rocklyns Book 3) by Alicia Street is a contemporary romance book. This was an amazing story to read. One of the reasons is the wonderful characters of Raina and Roman. I absolutely loved reading about them. Raina is a woman who is strong, independent, and kind. She is a person who helps those in need. She is a problem-solver. However, she has found that while she has been helping others she has not progressed with her own personal life. Roman is a man that also helps those in need. He is handsome, hard-working, and loyal. Will Roman, a man whose past still haunts him, take a chance at love? Read this book to find out. This is a romance story that had me hooked and had my emotions going up and down. The story Nothing But Trouble (Irresistible Billionaires Book 1) by Ashley Bostock is a romance book the I loved reading. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning. I loved reading about the characters of Michael Vilander and Sophia Baldwin. Sophia is a strong, beautiful, intelligent, and kind woman. Michael is a workaholic and a man that doesn’t do relationships or anything long-term. He finds her when he creates a fake profile on his matchmaking website. I don’t think an announcement at the Valentine Day Gala by Sophia that she and Michael attend that they are engaged was in the plans. They find themselves agreeing to pretend to be in love, a fake engagement, for a month. Is there more to the emotions/feelings that Sophia has for Michael? Michael is one that guards his heart. I loved reading about the character of Luke. He is someone who shows himself to be confident, strong, and has a need to help others. He also is a man whose memories haunt him. He feels guilt and blames himself for what happened in the past. I found myself empathizing with Luke the more that I read about what he had been through. The story The Future Memoir of Ann Jones: A Time Travel Romance with a Splash of Magic by Alex Bailey is a book that has quite an unusual storyline and interesting/intriguing characters. The description of the story caught my interest and once I started, I was hooked. There is mystery, romance, stories told, and also situations that had me wondering what was going on and what would happen next. I enjoyed reading about the character of Ann Jones. She is a woman who is at times stubborn. There is the Knitting Club in which she has joined. It sounds like a typical group in which the members get together with a common interest. Why are there rules to this club that have nothing to do with knitting? The members of the Knitting Club each have their own personalities and were very entertaining to read about. The story had me glued to the pages until I had finished. The book flows smoothly and the storyline creative. It is a story I would recommend reading.

A Suitable Affair (The Macalisters Book 1)
By: Erica Taylor
5 out of 5 stars

The story A Suitable Affair (The Macalisters Book 1) by Erica Taylor is a historical romance book. This is a story that transports you to a time of society functions, formal balls, and rules of propriety. It is a book that hooked me in from the very beginning and I got lost in the pages. I enjoyed the plot/storyline and loved reading about the characters of Lady Susanna Macalister and Ian Carlisle, the Earl of Westcott. Susanna is a woman who shows strength, is intelligent, generous, and kind. She also is unmarried. I like the fact that Susanna is someone who while doesn’t disregard all of the rules of society, she is a woman who will push their limits. She lives in a time when scandal can ruin a life and just rumors can hurt a reputation. She finds herself being called on by a man that she doesn’t quite understand or have strong feelings for. Ian is a man whose past haunts him. He feels guilt over his sister’s death and his life seems to be surrounded in darkness. That is why he feels that he must save Susanna from the man that he holds responsible for his sister’s death. Susanna soon finds herself with feelings for Ian. He says that he has nothing to offer her. Is that really true? What does the future hold for Susanna and Ian? Read this book to find out. This is a story that I just couldn’t put down until I had finished it. I had to know how it ends. There is some mystery and times when you wonder how much danger some of the characters are in. I could feel the passion and desire growing between Susanna and Ian and there are some steamy moments between them. There is also flirting and bantering. I grew to care about Susanna and Ian and found myself wanting them to find happiness. Will they find a HEA? There are also other characters that I enjoyed reading about and the part that they play in the story. This is a story I never wanted to end.

Best Foot Forward (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 1)
By: Bea Stevens
5 out of 5 stars

The story Best Foot Forward (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 1) by Bea Stevens is an awesome book that I loved reading. One of the reasons I loved it so much is the character of Liberty “Libby” Lawrence. She is a woman who has a high energy level and loves designer shoes. She is someone I would like to go shopping with. She has an eye for detail and that may be why she finds herself with a theory as to who the thief is at the hotel where she works. Now all she has to do is convince Detective Sergeant James Harper, the handsome policeman that she is right. Liberty seems to be falling for James a little more each time that they meet. Is Liberty right about who she suspects the thief to be? Will anything happen between Liberty and James? What does the future hold for Liberty? Read this book to find out. This story had me with a smile on my face and at times laughing out loud. My emotions went up and down with Liberty’s and I found myself caring about her with every chapter that I read. There are times when I wanted to give her a hug and others when I wondered what she was going to do next. There are other secondary characters that are introduced, and I enjoyed reading about many of them and their interactions with Liberty. This is a book that hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until the final page. It is a story I would recommend reading.
