The story A Terrible Beauty (Fallen Eagles MC Series (Romantic Suspense, Military Romance) Book 1) by T. Birmingham is a book that I enjoyed reading. I like the fact that the Fallen Eagles MC is made up of veterans and that they help other veterans and their families. I liked reading about the characters of Kit Markham and Lee Devereaux. Kit is a woman who has served her country. She is tough, passionate, and fiery. She also is a woman who has come back from her time in the service feeling broken and has built walls around her heart and soul. One of those who knows just how much she has changed is Lee Devereaux. While he always tries to be there for her, he can’t help but wish that she wouldn’t keep things from him. Threats are being received by veterans and their families. Now Lee knows about Kit’s shocking history. Will this change the way that Lee sees and thinks about Kit? Before she left they were in love. What does the future hold for Kit and Lee? Read this story to find out. This book is one the had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. I could feel the pain that the characters go through and you can’t help but empathize and also feel heartbroken with what they are dealing with. This is the first book in a series and I thought that it makes a good start in introducing the members of the club and also family members. I look forward to upcoming books and learning more about the club and the work that they do to help others.

The story Paladin’s Hell: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #1 by Manda Mellett is an amazing book that I loved reading. It is a story with romance and suspense. It at times had me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. It also has wonderful characters that I grew to love with each chapter that I read. First, there is Jayden and Paladin. Jayden or “Jay” as she is called is a young woman who is a survivor. While she may be young, she is strong and believes in the man that rescued her, Paladin. I loved reading about how Jayden felt about Paladin. While doubts or questions cross her mind, Paladin always remains a special person in her heart. That Paladin is in love with Jayden is undeniable. He is her protector and will guard her with his life. No other woman can take her place. Situations happen that cause them to move to Colorado. Will this be the beginning of their future together or will they be pulled apart? There are also the characters of Hellfire and Moira. Hellfire is the president of the Colorado chapter of Satan’s Devils and Moira is his old lady. I enjoyed reading about them and the background information that is provided both about them and the club. The story is written in such a way that I could feel the emotions of the characters. Such as how at times Paladin doesn’t feel that he fits in with his new brothers or how Jayden deals with her conflicting emotions. This is a wonderful story and I would highly suggest reading it. This book brings the characters to life and I am looking forward to reading what comes next in the series.

The story The Memory of Us by Lisa Sorbe is a new adult romance book. It is a story that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster and doesn’t let you go until the final page. I loved reading about the character of Elena Everhart. She is a woman who is a successful lawyer. She is someone who keeps her relationships at an arm’s length. When she returns home to take care of the aftermath of her mother’s death, she believes that she will be finished quickly. That she will then be leaving the past behind her. And then she sees Weston Brooks again. Her and Weston had a special and strong bond when children. She left him once in order to save her heart and to pave a future for herself. Now she finds that the attraction and feelings for Weston are still there. Elena tries to keep her distance. Will she be able to leave again? What does the future hold for Elena and Weston? Read this story to find out. This is a story about the power of memories, friendship, love, and loss. There were moments that my eyes were misty and others when the story had me smiling. I had empathy for Elena and what she was feeling. Both she and Weston are characters that I grew to love more and more with each chapter that I read. I could feel the push and pull going on between them and I wanted them to find happiness. This is a story that I would highly recommend reading.

The story Surviving Eden (Surviving Series Book 1) by Virginia Wine is a contemporary romance book. It is a book that is enjoyable to read and has characters that I grew to love with each chapter. The two main characters are Dr. Theodore Grants and Eden. Theo is a psychiatrist. He is also a man that simply exists, no emotional attachments. He has never felt that way towards anyone. That is until he meets Eden. He is there to help her and finds himself also wanting to protect her. There is an attraction that is undeniable, a pull towards her. Eden is a beautiful, strong-willed, intelligent, and talented woman. She also feels an attraction towards Theo. There is passion and desire between Theo and Eden. There are also conflicted emotions. What does the future hold for Theo and Eden? Read this story to find out. This is an author who knows how to write a story that will have your emotions going up and down the entire time. Theo and Eden are characters that I had empathy for and I also found myself wanting them to find happiness in their lives. This story also has a bit of mystery that will have you asking questions. There are steamy scenes that red hot and that make the temperature in the room rise. If you want to read a romance story that will have you turning pages to find out what will happen next this is the one for you. This is a powerful and entertaining first book in a series.

The story For the Love of Laura Beth (A Chicago Christmas Book 4) by Aubrey Wynne is a book that I loved reading. It is a story that had me misty-eyed at times and also with a smile on my face. There are heartbreaking as well as heartwarming moments. The story takes you on an emotional ride that doesn’t stop until you have read the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Laura Beth Walters and Joe McCall. These two have been best friends and that has blossomed into love. They have a bond that everyone who falls in love wants to have. They are devoted to each other. The Korean War drastically changes their wedding plans. They then must bear the separation. When Joe returns home their marriage is tested by tragedy. Laura Beth has always been a compassionate and strong woman. The type to always help those when they needed it, picking them up when they were down. Joe is determined that he will now be the one she can lean on. This is a story about family, love, and trials. I grew to love the characters of Laura Beth and Joe with each chapter that I read. There are additional characters that are introduced, and I enjoyed reading about the part that they play in the story and also their interactions with Laura Beth and Joe. This is a wonderful book that I would highly recommend reading.

The story Souls Collide: Collide Series Book 3 by Kristina Beck is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It has the right amount of romance and suspense that makes it a story that I had a hard time putting down until I finished it. It had me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next and also falling in love with the characters of Alexa and Kent. Alexa is a woman who is beautiful, intelligent, and independent. She is also caring and compassionate. I love that she doesn’t shy away from saying what she thinks. One person who she doesn’t mince words with or about is Kent. Kent is a police officer that doesn’t show his emotions. He comes off as unsympathetic at times and even his friends tell him his attitude is poor. Then he meets Alexa. When these two first meet the sparks fly. Those sparks at first show conflict between them. Then something begins to change. Kent becomes protective of Alexa. Even more so when a stranger begins lurking around her. When they kiss there is a passion that is undeniable. What does the future hold for Kent and Alexa? Will these two find themselves in a relationship or will their differing views keep them apart? Will Alexa’s unknown pursuer be caught? Read this book to find out. I loved reading about Alexa and Kent. There is a push and pull going on between them and there are times when their conversations had me with a smile on my face. They are characters that I wanted to find happiness. There are also other additional characters who I enjoyed reading about. Both the part that they play in the story and also their interactions with Kent and Alexa. If you love romance with some mystery and suspense this is the book for you. I would highly recommend reading it.

The story A Pink Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is a sweet holiday romance book that I loved reading. It hooked me in from the very beginning and I was hoping that the characters would find a happy ending. It is set in a small town. Billie left town five years ago. She wanted to spread her wings. New York City is where she settled. One thing that didn’t go right is that the man she loved never followed her. Now she is back in her hometown to help her family and the sting of why he never contacted her is still there. What will happen when Billie and Leroy meet again? Do they still have feelings for each other? What does the future hold for them? Will these two find themselves together once again? Read this book to find out. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters, the part they play in the story and their interactions with Billie. There are heartwarming scenes included in this story. I liked that family is important to Billie. Will the magic of Christmas play any part in bringing them back together? Don’t miss out on reading a wonderful story about coming home and finding out if two people’s love for each other survived the passage of time. Highly recommended.

Santa’s Little Helper by Shaan Ranae is a holiday short story that I enjoyed reading. I enjoyed how it includes characters that have a love of family. It also has a steamy side to it as Jake takes notice of “Santa’s Little Helper.” There are plenty of laughable moments in this story and others that are heartwarming. I loved reading about the character of Jake. He is a man that has a business to run and a deal to close. When there is an emergency Santa issue he tries to get someone to put on the red suit. He soon finds himself unable to take his eyes off a certain “helper.” What does the Christmas season have in store for Jake? Read this book to find out. There are a few additional characters that I enjoyed reading about. I found myself wanting to know a little more about them and about Jake. The spirit of the season and some steamy romance makes this a book I would recommend reading.

Hometown Heroes: A Christmas Anthology is a wonderful set of stories that I loved reading. Having stories that are set around Christmas and then adding in some romance gives you that heartwarming feeling that the season is all about. There is no doubting the magic of the season as you read each story. The woman in these tales are fiery, independent, and strong. While the stories are not long they have enough emotion in them that I found myself with misty eyes and a smile on my face. I found that these stories stayed with me and I thought about them even after I had finished the anthology. Some are set in the past and others are in the present day. All make a lasting impression on your soul. I have read stories by some of the authors and enjoyed reading stories by them again. I also have discovered new authors and look forward to reading more of their writing. This is a wonderful group of stories that have amazing characters. Highly recommended.

The story Alive (Sundown Series Book 3) by Courtney Konstantin is a thrilling book that I loved reading. It is set in a post-apocalyptic world where those who become infected with a plague turn into flesh-eating zombies. This story had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It is suspenseful and at times I had to remind myself to breathe. I loved reading about the characters of Rafe and Charlie. They both work at a facility where secret experiments are being conducted. A plague has started to turn anyone it infects and they find themselves in a world that has been turned upside-down and in chaos. They also find themselves pursued by mercenaries. Will Rafe and Charlie be able to survive both the zombies and those who are hunting them down? Read this book to find out. This story does an amazing job in making you feel like you are right there with the characters and experiencing what they do. I could feel the fear that they have when facing those who are infected. Charlie is a beautiful, smart, and strong woman. She is driven to prove that she can be an equal partner to Rafe, not just a responsibility. Rafe is a man that is determined to keep alive and also protect Charlie. He is someone who is caring and will defend himself and others. There are other additional characters that are introduced in the story and I enjoyed reading about the part that they play and their interactions with Charlie and Rafe. I absolutely love post-apocalyptic tales of survival and this book is an example of why. It is well-written and you won’t want to put it down until you read the last page. Highly recommended.

The story Beachcomber Gone: Beachcomber Investigations Book 9 by Stephanie Queen is a romantic suspense book that I loved reading. I have loved this series ever since I read the first story. One of the reasons is the characters of Dane and Shana. These two found an attraction to each other from their first meeting and it has only grown ever since. When reading about them you know they are meant to be together. Life is never boring for them. This story has the couple traveling to Australia so that Dane can meet Shana’s family. Those plans are interrupted when Shana’s mother is used as bait and threats made. It soon becomes apparent that not all is as it seems, and someone is out to set Shana up. Will Dane and Shana find out who is responsible before Shana is arrested or hurt? Read this story to find out. This book has action and danger around every corner as this couple tries to unravel the mystery of who a traitor is. Plans and strategies are formed in which the safety of those involved can’t be guaranteed. It had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It had me turning pages. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters, how they fit into the story and their interactions with Dane and Shana. This is a book and series that I would highly recommend reading.

The story Venganza: The Fuentes Legacy by Greta Cribbs is a thrilling book that I enjoyed reading. It had me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. It is a story that drew me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until I had read the final page. It is a story about a family’s legacy and the love that two people have for each other. The Fuentes family is one that has secrets. Magic and a legacy that they are willing to kill to protect. Leo Fuentes left the family and does everything in his power to make sure that his father never finds his son, Damian. Even with his best efforts Damian is found, kidnapped and tortured. Leo is a father that feels guilt for not being able to be a part of his son’s life and now that pain is further compounded by what has happened to Damian. Damian is a man that has feelings of abandonment by his father. He has a wonderful relationship with the one he loves, Jenn. Will his kidnapping and the aftermath change that relationship, or will Damian’s and Jenn’s bond prove to be unshakeable? Read this story to see what happens when Damian is kidnapped and how it all turns out for him and Jenn. This story is a prequel. It gives a look into the raw emotions that the characters of Damian and Jenn feel. You can’t help but be moved by what they go through. They are two characters that I loved in the story before this one and this prequel made me love them even more. The way that the story is written I felt like I was right there with the characters. There were times that were suspenseful, and I had to remind myself to breathe. You also get to read about how Leo Fuentes feels about his son and his family. There are additional characters that are introduced in the story and I enjoyed reading about the part that they play and their interactions with Damian and Jenn. There are scenes in this story that are very intense and others that warmed my heart. This is a story that I would recommend reading.

The Eastern Shore Swingers Books 1-3 (Boxed Set) are wonderful stories to read. They are books that I loved and have amazing characters. One thing I liked is that the characters from the previous stories appear in the next book. They are all like a large family and I love how when one of them is in trouble or needs help the others lend their support. Romance is in the air with the characters in these books. Sometimes the characters feelings/emotions are conflicted, and then other times obstacles arise that must be overcome. The women in these stories are beautiful, smart, independent and sassy. The men are handsome and charming. There are plenty of steamy scenes included in this box set and will have the temperature in the room rising. Once I started each story, I found that I couldn’t put it down for long as I wanted to know what happened next and if there was a happy ending. Besides the main characters there are many additional characters that you are introduced to in the stories and I enjoyed reading about the part that each one played and their interactions with the main characters. Don’t miss out on this box set which had me turning pages. The stories do introduce you to an alternative lifestyle that is lived. It does bring attention to the fact that not all are so accepting of this lifestyle and the club the Factory along with those who go there try to keep a low profile. The set is intended for mature audiences.

The story The Debt Collector: An Underground Bad Boys Romance by India Kells is a book that I loved reading. It is a story with steamy scenes that will make the temperature in the room rise and you will be reaching for a cold glass of water. I loved reading about the characters of Dr. Tessa Freeman and Locke. Tessa is a woman who is caring and has a large heart. When a patient comes in and needs help she will provide it, even if it means that she may be in danger. Tessa has found herself taken by a slave ring after she helps some girls in the ER where she works. Locke is the man that rescues Tessa. He also is both mysterious and distant. He has offered Tessa a deal to keep her safe from the slave ring. The terms of that deal are not what Tessa would have ever expected. These two are both attracted to each other. There is electricity when they are together and the lust they feel for each other is very evident. Add in Locke’s best friend Gage, and there is enough heat to burn the building they are in down to the ground. Is lust all that Tessa feels? Will she find out the secrets that Locke keeps? What does the future hold? Will Tessa finally no longer have to worry about the slave ring? Read this book to find out what happens. I was intrigued by Locke’s friend Gage. He is an underground cage fighter and their friendship includes a strong bond of friendship and sometimes a lot more goes on when they are together. I love that Tessa is a strong and independent woman. She is a character that I loved from the start of the book. This is a book that is wonderful to read and one that I would recommend.

The story Leaving Jackson Wolf by P.A. Kane is a YA/coming of age book. It is a story that I enjoyed reading. It is about the life of a teenage boy who is trying to deal with school, home life, and love. It is a journey that I found emotional and also thought-provoking. Reading about Jackson Wolf had me at times smiling, sad, angry, and frustrated. His story is both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. The book tells of how he gains a friend in James McDougal. While you wouldn’t have been able to tell from the first time that they meet these two become inseparable. Bikes, music, and the girls in their lives are constant subjects between them. Both of their fathers like to drink heavily, and this is also something that they talk about. Wolf’s life can be chaotic and at times overwhelms him. He does at times have conflicted emotions about those around him. There comes a time when Wolf loses some of those in his life and he begins to wonder why and if it is life conspiring against him. Sometimes advice can be given that can help you find your inner strength and power. Will Wolf get the advice and help that he needs? Read this book to find out. I found both Wolf and McDougal to be very mischievous in some their actions. McDougal is the tech person in their friendship and Wolf is the one that pushes them to strengthen themselves. I also enjoyed reading about the part that many of the additional characters play in Wolf and McDougal’s life and their interactions with them. This is a story that is well-written and one I would recommend reading.

The story A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is a wonderful romantic holiday book. It weaves a story that has you laughing in some parts and feeling the magic and romance in others. The importance of family is highlighted. It a book I loved reading and didn’t want to put down until I finished the last page. I loved reading about the character of Mel. She is on her way to Spain, which is a last-minute request from her mother to watch her aunt’s home while she is in the hospital. From the very beginning things begin to happen in which causes her frustration and with the jet lag, she feels like she just wants to lay down and sleep. The lack of her speaking the Spanish language is another hurdle that she has. She does find herself being helped by a very handsome man who was seated next to her on the flight. While she may not know what he is saying she can’t say no to his assistance. How far will this stranger go out of his way to help Mel? What happens when she finally gets to her aunt’s home? Will she continue to see the attractive man that has assisted her? Read this story to find out. Mel goes through some very overwhelming situations. I could empathize with her and the situations that she finds herself in. This story had me with a smile on my face and with a heartwarming feeling. Christmas is a magical time of year and when reading about Mel I couldn’t help but hope it would be that way for her. This is an amazing story with wonderful characters. I highly recommend reading it.

The story Snatching Dianna (Feisty Lawyers Book 1) by Seelie Kay is a book that I loved reading. There is both mystery and suspense. It had me wondering what was going to happen next. I was turning pages to find out. It is the story about a law student, Dianna Murphy, who fails to show to a planned event with her roommate. When Law Professor Janet MacLachlan, a former covert agent, is alerted she begins looking for clues as to if Dianna was taken. One clue sends her and others looking into a slave trafficking cartel. Will Dianna be found, or will she disappear without a trace? Read this book to find out. This is a story in which I felt like I was right there with the characters. Trying to put the clues together is like putting together a puzzle. I enjoyed reading the interactions between Janet, her husband Cade and the other additional characters. The characters work well together and are determined to find the truth of what has happened to Dianna. There are also some characters that have their own agenda and whose actions I would call evil. Don’t miss out reading a wonderful story that will hook you in and not let go until the last page.

The story Beats of the Heart (Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star Series Book 1) by Charlie B. Rose is a new adult romance book. I loved reading this story. It had me hooked from the very beginning. It is a book that had my emotions going up and down with the characters. I loved reading about Izzy and Dawson. These two have been best friends since they were young and have taken the step from friends to lovers. They believe that their hearts beat as one and that their souls fit together. She is his muse. The music flows because her. This book has some very steamy scenes. The chemistry between Izzy and Dawson is red hot and can make the temperature in the room rise. They imagine their future will be together. What will happen when dark clouds roll in and threaten this couple? Read this story to find out. I grew to love the characters of Izzy and Dawson with each chapter that I read. It was wonderful to read how devoted to each other they are. I like how Dawson took Izzy’s feelings into consideration when he made decisions. Being the girlfriend of a someone who is famous must be hard and Izzy does have times where she feels insecure and the doubts creep in. The way that Izzy and Dawson banter back and forth had me with a smile on my face. This book is definitely one I would recommend reading. It is part one of this couple’s story and I look forward to reading the next part.

The story A Second Chance (Powder River Pack Book 1) by Brooke May is a paranormal romance book. This is a genre that I have always loved reading and this story is a good example of why. The book hooked me in from the very beginning and I couldn’t put it down until I read the ending page. The story had my emotions going up and down and had me wanting the two main characters to get a second chance at love. I loved reading about Derek Sumerland and Annabelle Daniels. These two found love at an early age and then suddenly found themselves apart. Both brokenhearted they went on with their lives however each kept having thoughts of the other and no one else made them feel the same as when they were together. Now Annabelle has come back to Fetterman, Wyoming to assist her estranged father as he is gravely ill. These two still have an attraction and are affected when they see each other. What wasn’t there before is the anger/conflict that they feel. Will Derik and Annabelle get another chance at love? Annabelle has made a wonderful career for herself in the time that she has been gone. Will she be forced to make a choice between that career and love? What does the future hold for Derek and Annabelle? Does it include a happy ending? Read this book to find out. I enjoyed reading about the additional characters, about the part they play in the story and the way they interact with Derek and Annabelle. There are heartbreaking and heartwarming parts to this story. It shows the importance that family and friends play in life. This is an amazing story with wonderful characters. It is the first book in a series and I am looking forward to reading the next one.

The story Hope’s Deceit (The Fated Book 2) by Angela McPherson is a YA/fantasy/romance book. It is a story that I was looking forward to reading since I finished the first book. I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had finished the last page. This story has Trinity’s 18th birthday drawing near. The danger from Mella and her Rogues is of constant concern and she must keep up her training. In this story the feelings that both Trinity and Blain feel for each other start out strong. They are constantly together. Then something changes. The connection between has been lost or stopped. What has happened? There are revelations uncovered and truths that are revealed. Questions are raised and need to be answered. Where has Mella gone to and what is she planning next? How many more abilities will Trinity manifest? Will Trinity be able to control her abilities? Will the connection between Trinity and Blain be felt by them again? If chaos breaks out who will survive? Read this book to find out. There are some twists and turns to this story. Trinity is becoming faster and stronger. With what she is going through she is one brave girl. I loved reading about her and Blain. Most of the additional characters that are in this story were brought forward from the first book. This is a series that I believe should be read in order to fully understand what is going on. Don’t miss out on the wonderful second story in this series that will have you turning pages to find out what happens next. Highly recommended story and series.

It drew me in from the very beginning and had me turning pages to find out what happens next. I loved reading about the main character of Havana and the three Lykos shifters that have sworn to protect her. Havana believes that the men that have shown up and tell her she is to come with them are police, so she tries to run. What she soon finds out is that chaos has begun because of a flu vaccine that has been given out and turning people into monsters. The three rescue her and she finds herself under their protection. Her ex has issued a threat of what will happen if anyone touches her. Havana and her three protectors are very attracted to each other. Their desire for each other shows through and is at times overwhelming. Why does Havana feel such strong emotions towards the three men she has just met? Will the threat that Havana’s ex has given strong enough to override the desire that Mason, Gabriel, and Liam have for her? What does the future hold for Havana and her protectors? Read this story to find out. This story is red hot and makes the temperature in the room rise. You can feel the conflict that Mason, Gabriel, and Liam have as their feelings for Havana keep getting stronger and harder to ignore. I enjoyed reading about the different characters and the background information given on them. As this is book one in a series it lays a good foundation for further stories that come after it. This is a wonderful book and has amazing characters. It is one I would highly recommend reading.

The story Guilty Pleasures Volume 2: Guilty Pleasures by Joyce McCarthy is a book that has some short erotic stories that are written to make the temperature in the room rise. They center around the characters and the steamy encounters that they have. There is lust, dirty talking, teasing, and red-hot scenes. While the stories are short and quick they don’t lack in the details of what these characters are there for. This is an author who knows how to write scenes that will have you reaching for a glass of cold water. I found myself intrigued by the characters and wanted to know more about them. There is attraction and lust included in these stories. The book is well-written and makes me want to read more by the author. Recommended reading.

It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put down until I had finished the last page. It has action, suspense, and danger. It is a book that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It is the continuing story of the girl who is now the Capo Donna. She is in charge of Family business and does her job well. She has been trained in self-defense in the Family since she was a little girl and has proven herself time and again. This story finds the Capo Donna closer to the dream of a “free life.” She is a beautiful, strong, and independent woman. She is someone who doesn’t shy away from saying what she means and telling the truth when she needs to. Will she finally make good her escape and start to live a normal and “free” life? Read this book to find out. Many of the characters that are in this book have been brought forward from the first two. I loved how the Capo Donna has so many that are loyal to her and would do anything to help her. She has a family by blood who she loves dearly, and they love her as well. There are also those who are introduced in this story that have their own agenda and who have evil intentions. What will happen when these men go up against the Capo Donna and the Family? There are heartbreaking times and heartwarming times in this story. One of the things I love about the book is that it is very detailed, and I felt like I was right there with the characters facing what they did. Wonderfully written with amazing characters this is a story that I would highly recommend reading. This is a series of books that should be read in order.

The novella A Must for Christmas by Deborah Garland is a holiday romance book. It is a wonderful story and I couldn’t put it down until I had finished the last page. You reunite with Faith and Greg Mallory of the Darling Cove series. It is the Christmas season and they are about to become parents. A few dark clouds have appeared. Stress causes early labor and complications. Greg is right there with Faith, however, fear and worry can be overwhelming when waiting for word from the doctors. What does this Christmas season hold for Greg and Faith? Read this book to find out. I enjoyed reading about Faith and Greg once again. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are from the series and are friends/family to this couple. This story has heartwarming/touching scenes and others when you wonder what is going to happen next. The book is written in such as way that you can feel the characters emotions and mine went up and down with them all the way through. This is a perfect story to add to the Darling Cove series and one that you will not want to miss out on. Highly recommended reading. I personally would read this novella after all of the other books in the series. It helps to do this in order to understand some of the situations that are described and who all the players/characters are.

The story A Prickly Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is a wonderful holiday romance book that I loved reading. I found myself lost in the pages and feeling the magic and spirit of Christmas. I loved the character of Emma Louise Fallon or aka “Elf.” Elf’s plans for the holiday are changed when her girlfriend suddenly is not able to come to the cabin they were going to vacation at. She decides to still go to the cabin as planned and spend time on her own. What she doesn’t expect is how much work it will be in order to keep warm and maintain. When she stops in town she believes and has suspicions as to who a couple is that she meets and then there is Rudi, the part-time veterinarian, and cop, who she finds very attractive. What does this Christmas season hold for Elf? Will she spend it on her own or does the magic that comes along with the season have different plans for her? Read this book to find out. This is a story that is perfect to read around this time of year and had me either smiling or laughing out loud in some parts. I love when an animal is written into a story, so I loved reading about the stray cat that decides to keep Elf company. I would highly recommend this book.

I found myself turning pages trying to find out what was going to happen next. It is the next exciting book in a wonderful series. Wren has found herself with a bit of time on her hands. She is someone who has always been busy and it is an unusual feeling. Wren has survived being falsely framed for murder. Now situations occur that have her and others in harm’s way. There is a hostile army outside the gates. Will they take over the city? Members of the Guilds begin to disappear. Wren suspects who is behind the disappearances. Her investigation will have her facing old and new enemies. Will Wren find the truth behind the disappearances? Will she find the missing Guild members? How much danger is the city really in? Read this book to find out. I enjoyed reading about Wren and the relationship that she has with her boyfriend. This book has a bit more romance than the last one. This was a book that was a more emotional ride for me. I have grown to love many of the characters since reading the first book and now with this one I was not only rooting for them to succeed in whatever actions they take but also for them to find happiness in their lives. There are moments of suspense that had me having to tell myself to breathe. I love how the story has plenty of detail and I felt like I was right there with the characters. There are some twists and turns that I did not see coming. Once I started reading, I had a hard time putting down. Highly recommended.

The story Shoot Me: A Lie To Me Novel by Lynda Filler is a book that I loved reading. It had me intrigued from the very beginning and I found myself turning pages to find out what happens next. One of the reasons that I loved the story so much is the character of Layla. She is a woman who after losing Mateo, a man that she started opening up her heart to, has decided that she needs to change the scenery of her life and goes to the city of Guadalajara. Layla is a smart and independent woman who is looking for the one person who will complete her, give her happiness forever. In her new surroundings, things begin to happen at a fast rate. Chaos happens at a private opening for the fashion photographer Pablo. Then things ignite between her and Pablo. The tension between these two is off the charts and there are some scenes in this book that make the temperature in the room rise. Add in that she again meets Omar, a man who is determined to make it on the music scene and one night stand for Layla, Mish a University student that she has put in the friend zone, as well as a cartel boss’ son and it make for a story that will at times keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next. There are also discussions on social and political issues. Will Layla find the man who will complete her? Layla begins to wonder if when she runs from situations, is it really from her heart? Read this story to find out how it turns out for Layla and the other characters. The author has written a book that is not only exciting to read it also makes you stop and think. My emotions went up and down with the characters. There are moments where my heart was hurting for the characters and others that had me wondering about the actions that some take. Don’t miss out a wonderful and exciting story. It is a book that I would read after the story Lie to Me. It makes understanding some situations easier. Highly recommended.

The anthology Reckless is a collection of 4 stories that I loved reading. They each have characters that I enjoyed reading about. I found myself turning pages to see how everything works out. Some of the characters are not lucky when in a relationship, some have been badly hurt so they feel they are broken, and some believe that what they are having is just a fling. No matter the case, when they meet the attraction that they feel for each other, is off the charts and undeniable. I love how each author makes you feel the emotions that each couple is feeling. My emotions went up and down just like theirs did. These characters have a passion and desire for each other. Will these characters open their hearts up to each other and take a chance at love no matter how reckless it may seem? Read these stories to find out. These stories also have some very steamy scenes that will make the temperature in the room rise. There are scenes where the characters act and I want to shout out to them asking why they did what they did. There are other moments that warmed my heart. This is an anthology that I would recommend for anyone who loves the romance genre.

The story The Moon in Her Eyes: a witch’s tale by Nikki Broadwell is a fantasy book the I loved reading. It is a story that once it starts the journey that it takes you on doesn’t stop until the ending page. It had me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. I loved reading about Emeline. She is a witch who is living in 1694 with the Wampanoag tribe. She has the ability to travel through time which can at times have consequences. Emeline is a beautiful and strong woman. When she finds that timelines are all mixed up she wonders what has happened. She is trying to find the truth about what has happened and how to repair what has been altered. Will she succeed? Will and can the timelines be repaired? Read this story to find out. I could empathize with Emeline as situations are happening quickly and she at times wonders if she is the cause of some of the changes occurring. This is a fast-paced book that had me on the edge of my seat. The characters are constantly on the move. There are additional characters that are introduced in the story who help and interact with Emeline. Then there are those characters that I wondered about their true motives. Don’t miss out on a story that has magic, time travel, and dark forces. Highly recommended.

It is a wonderful romance story and has some amazing characters. I loved reading about Alisabeth and Gideon. Alisabeth married her best friend. While they had affection and loyalty for each other the passion that is seen in other relationships wasn’t there. Then tragedy strikes making her a widow. As she wonders what is next in her life she meets Gideon. Alisabeth is strong, beautiful, and full of life. She is a wonderful character to read about. Gideon is a man that enjoys being single. He has responsibilities and doesn’t care for the matchmaking that he has to endure. He loves his mother and so when she begs him to take her to her Highland home he agrees. It is there that he meets Alisabeth. There is an attraction between these two from the very beginning. She has him thinking of the future and it involves them together. Gideon is beginning to learn about the clan and his Scottish heritage. I enjoyed reading about the McNaughton Clan and their history, legends, and ceremonies. Will Gideon and Alisabeth find a future together? Political unrest has come to Scotland. Will plans that are being plotted put Gideon, Alisabeth, and Clan McNaughton in danger? Will this couple get an HEA? Read this book to find out. Gideon at first had a hard time with the differences between himself and the clan. As the story progresses, I liked that he has an open mind. I grew to love both Gideon and Alisabeth with every chapter that I read and I was rooting for their happiness. There are additional characters that are introduced and I enjoyed reading about the part they play in the story as well as their interactions with Gideon and Alisabeth. This is a story that is enjoyable and one I would recommend reading.
