This was an interesting book and not at all what I expected. I read it fairly quickly as it easily kept my interest. The storyline is unique. The characters are delightful. Alex was just different enough that he aroused my suspicions as do a couple other characters. Hopefully in the next book we will find out more about the Councilwoman and her lackey. This is my first book by this author. I am a huge Paranormal fan. This book caught my eye with the cover and the blurb. I eagerly look forward to seeing how Alex and Catherine do in the next book.
The Devil’s Shadow by T. Birmingham is the fourth book in the Wild Beasts series. This is one of those books that definitely has a bit of everything – fantasy, romance, action, paranormal. There is definitely something there for everyone. I would definitely recommend reading this series in order. I read this book on its own and I know that I have missed a lot because of that. It felt like the character build up and the story setting has either been done in books before or has been building throughout the series and I knew I didn’t have full knowledge. However the book was still well written and had a great depth to it. The characters were still interesting and easy to read about. It is obvious to see this is a brilliant series. Which is why I will be going straight back to book 1!!!
Seraphina’s Vengeance by Sheena Hutchinson is the third book in the Seraphina Series. This series does really need to be read in order as it follows the same character and story throughout. As with the previous two books the author creates a brilliant world and fantastic characters. I really enjoy getting back into Sera’s story, it is always so interesting and varied. This book is exactly as expected, it is full of twists and turns and really takes you on a journey. This book definitely left me wanting to read more from this series and I can’t wait to see what the next book had to offer.
This is the third book in the Sand Dollar series. The story picks up where it left off in part two. Leigh has run again and Alex is alone wondering what he did wrong. Sometimes when you give too much, you have nothing left to give. He decides to move back to Biloxi. Realizing that his life is off track, he decides to see a therapist. The therapist poses many questions that prompts Alex to do some soul searching. Through his self discovery, he has some breakthroughs.
Everything comes full circle in this story. Friends re-emerge and past mistakes are rectified. One lesson that is learned through this book is that you have to forgive yourself if you want to heal. The growth of the characters in this series is phenomenal. Through the trials and tribulations, they have learned lessons that enable them to stand on their own two feet. This was a very inspirational series.

The Inheritance by India Kells, was a quick read that I breezed right through. With the book only being 92 pages I was concerned about character development but was extremely pleased. You were able to get to know plenty about Lani and Max and regardless of how they were initially brought together you fell in love with them. The writing style was fast paced without a bunch of fluff and it was pure story. I was left wanting more and hope that the author considers a whole series of these two characters. This was my first book by this author and I can’t wait to delve into all her stories.

Have you ever read a story and the hair sticks up on your neck? I can testify that Dig Two Graces by Keith Nixon has done that to me. This is my first book by Mr. Nixon, and it will not be my last. Mr. Nixon can spin an intricate web that kept me on my toes. The character is fully developed and believable. Mr. Gray is a troubled detective. He lost his son when he was six (and by lost, I mean taken from him). Every time there is a murder with a child close to his son’s age, he gets queasy thinking that it may be his son. There has been a teenage boy that committed suicide and he did not want to take the case just in case it in fact was his son. The story progresses from there and skeletons from Gray’s closet start coming out and there is a whirlwind surrounding the investigation. Will Gray be able to continue with this case? Will the past come back to haunt him? You will have to read to find out more.

The man in question is a very sexy billionaire who has to help her get this money. I read this book in a short period of time and I was left breathless! Its a sexy, sexy story.

Dancing Queen by Charlotte Roth . This is such a fun read. Fiona Madsen has always dreamed of being a dancer until on her 7th birthday her mom told her “Fat Girls” can’t dance. She is again basically told she’s fat when her work wants her and her coworker Stu to participate in a support group for people with “Health Issues”. She and “skinny” Stu connect over their opposite issues and Stu suggests they enter a dance competition to help with their “health issues”. Stu & Fiona realizes they have so much in common and they really hit it off but when all your life you’ve been told you can’t do something and then your own sister threatens to have you disqualified from the competition Fiona wanders if its really even worth trying. This is such a positive body image book and I loved every second of it. You won’t be disappointed.

Brian & Jenny are brought together and he’s doing everything he can to prove to her he loves her. She is being accused of murder and Brian is going to do everything he can to prove that she’s innocent. Brian uses all of his resources to keep her safe and keep her from going to jail. The mob ends up being involved with the murder victim and they are now after Jenny because they think she knows more than she does. Will Brian’s love and money be able to keep her out of jail and alive or will the Mob get her. This book is so full of twists and turns you will be on the edge of your seat.

The Woman America Loves A Latte by Holly Tierney-Bedord. Veloura aka Vee was orphaned as a teen so she’s made her way the only way she knows how. She is shacked up with a has been bull rider and has decided her life is not going to be spectacular. When she is presented with the opportunity to be a spokesperson for a coffee chain she thinks she might have a chance. Will her past catch up with her and ruin everything and on top of that someone is wanting to kill her. Holly Tierney-Bedford has become one of my favorite authors so whenever I see her book I grab it. I also love the recipes included in the books. This is a great story about making something out of yourself from a rough beginning.

The Inheritance by India Kells My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
This book may be on the shorter side but it is packed with so much. The story line is great, not something I have read before and the romance was beautiful.
Lani and Max are a beautiful couple. He does have some issues he needs to work through but I think both of them were just what each other needed to take that next step in each of their lives. I find it weird that Lani’s uncle would be the one to have them play out these tasks, but thankful I got to see where it lead each character. The ending had my heart hurting, I was fearful of what would become of this couple and all of their chemistry.
This book is perfect for a quick but eventful and powerful read. I loved this story and can’t wait to check out more by this great author!

Broken Sand Dollar (The Sand Dollar Series Book 3 by J D Boudreaux. This is a wonderful story about Alex, who had a relationship with Penny but her career got in the way of their engagement. Then there was Leigh his childhood sweetheart who came rushing back but left just as quickly. This book picks up where book 2 left off. After all the disappointments Alex has gone thru he returns to the Gulf Coast where he always feels will be home. He always feels like he has to take care of everyone and that includes Payton, who Alex keeps helping until she gets her life together. Will she leave Alex to go back to her family who she’s always wanted to reunite with or will she stay with Alex. Poor Alex has seemed to always get the short end of the stick. Read Broken Sand Dollar to find out if he finally finds happiness.

Blade’s Edge by Manda Mellett is an incredible MC read! This is the 10th book in the Satan’s Devils MC series and my favorite of the series so far. Manda Mellett never ceases to amaze me, her writing flows so well with all the detail and I always manage to connect with her characters which makes reading her stories so much more enjoyable. I loved everything about Tash and Blade, I feel like I could have continued to read about them forever!
Having read almost all the books in this series I would suggest reading it in order, as the characters are all introduced early in the series. I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future and would highly recommend this series to anyone looking for their next MC read!

What She Lost & Found by M.L. Garcia is a great suspenseful romance read! It’s intriguing, captivating, mysterious, unpredictable and romantic. The storyline hooked me right from the get-go, I couldn’t wait to find out all about Daniela and her past, and I really was not disappointed. I absolutely loved the timelines and the past and present moments. Daniela’s story had me feeling all kinds of emotions, which made it a very entertaining read.
This is a book I would recommend to anyone looking for their next suspenseful romance read and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future!

Seraphina’s Vengeance by Sheena Hutchinson is the third book in the Seraphina Series and is my favorite of the series so far! I read this book in one sitting as I got so swept up in the story that I didn’t stop reading until I had reached the end. This storyline is intense, captivating, action-packed, unexpected and so unbelievably entertaining!
This is a series I would absolutely recommend reading in order as each new book follows where the last left off. As the story continues to build, I find myself more and more invested in Seraphina and wondering how everything in her life will play out.

The Devil’s Shadow is book four in the Wild Beasts series by T. Birmingham. It is a mysterious fantasy that will titillate the senses and satisfy curious minds and lovers of a well written story.
The Devil’s Shadow is a well rounded story, with complex, but well developed characters. Characters who display many facets of their colourful personalities. There are many elements such as attraction, passion, mystery, suspense, intensity. Broken souls coming together to create beauty, all while trying to save the world. There are treacherous happenings that Ginny and Kieran desperately scramble to solve, and love that needs to be nurtured. A high energy read. 4 stars

The Inheritance is a short but powerful read. In this story you have Lani who is a struggling artist who’s uncle passed away and leaves her in his will. Lani is so excited to get the money she so desperately needs. There is a huge catch in her uncles will that states she must submit to a man named Max who is a reclusive man. Can she do what she needs to do according to the stipulations of the will to get the money she needs? I really enjoyed this book with the twists and turns.

Wow! What a first book to read by this author! This compulsive story just hooked me at page one and didn’t let go. It was a short book but packed so much in. Lani is an aspiring artist whose financial struggles look like they will come to an end thanks to an inheritance from her rich uncle. Unfortunately for her, the inheritance comes with conditions. A former friend of her uncle, the handsome but reclusive Max Landon, must help her fulfil the conditions. So begins a thrilling journey that took my breath away at times! The characters were well written and the storyline moved at exactly the right pace for me. I liked the final chapter as a sort of epilogue too. A triumph of a book. Highly recommended.

This story is amazing. It send you on such a rollercoaster of emotions.
Daniela is a young woman with a troubled past. Its her story about how her past impacts her present and the twists and turns she takes.
While reading this book i have laughed, I have sobbed and i have felt such happiness it was as if it was happening to me.
The writing is amazing at building the story and making you feel the emotions of the characters. The books also takes some extremely delicate subjects and presents them in a respectful way giving the reader an insight into that experience

Coming Home: the sequel to Flowers in December by Jane Suen is a story of one man who after the death of his mother is learning to deal with his grief. In order to pull himself out of his funk he has decided to leave his old life behind and start a new where he grew up. With old friends and new he celebrates the season of his first christmas without his mother. It is a very quick but emotional read. Jane is a master at never doing what you think should be and always leaves me a little frustrated. But having said that she always writes from the heart and that is infused within her words in her stories.
Read and enjoy but you need to read the first book Flowers in December first.

Dig Two Graves: A Gripping Crime Thriller (Solomon Gray Book 1) By Keith Nixon
This book grabbed me from the beginning and kept me enthralled the entire time. Gray has experienced a tremendous amount of tragedy and has turned to alcohol and pills to try to numb the pain. While investigating what was originally thought to be a suicide, murders keep happening and the common denominator is Gray himself. There are twists and turns that kept a grip on me and I wasn’t sure what was going to happen next or who was causing these murders. This was a very good read, I was on the edge of my seat throughout most of the book. I recommend this book and look forward to reading the next one in this series.

The Inheritance by India Kells. This is a unique spin on the Dom/sub relationship. Lani is a strong willed woman who makes the choice to complete takes left by her late uncle in order to obtain a sum of money from his will. Easy right? She figured it would be until Max became the one person she needed in order to succeed, there only one problem, he’s not sure he can do what is asked. The story is strong and erotic and keeps you hooked because you want to know how the story end and who will win between the battle of Wills.

Broken Sand Dollar by JD Boudreaux is the third book in the Sand Dollar series. I have enjoyed follow Alex on his journey over the years. Of the three books this is my favorite, the changes in Alex are so amazing and he finally finds his happiness.
I saw some of myself in Alex, he was always taking care of everyone else instead of focusing on himself periodically and this is something I have found myself being guilty of. His reason comes from his childhood as does mine but I like his a lot more.
Alex isn’t the only one who has gone through changes. Actually pretty much everyone changes in some way. Some are bigger than others.
This was a great series and I hope to see more this Author in the future.

What She Lost and Found by M.L Garcia was a story that was hard to read at times only due to the subject matter. Ms. Garcia did a good job writing about a horrible and traumatic subject. This is one of the things about the book that actually left me without words. There is just no way to describe the agony Daniela dealt with for those years.
Daniela, a Senior at The University of Texas at Austin (Hook’em) hasn’t really lived her life until now. She slowly comes out of her shell and acts like someone her age inspite of all of the pain from her past.
So much happened in this book, most of it was great but there are also some very sad, tragic moments too. I loved seeing Daniela discover who she is and to find her happily ever after.

Claimed by Via Mari is third and final book in the Torzial Affair series. This is the second complete series have read by this author and haven’t been disappointed in anything. She developed a great alpha male as the lead while the lead female while submissive isn’t a push over by any stretch of the imagination.
Jenny has come so far since the garbage with Ty though the past isn’t quite done with her. She has been through so much and continues to impress.
Brian has done a lot of growing and changing through this series. The Brian in this book is opposite of the one we met in Chase and Katerina’s series.
There are a few people in the two series I would like to see have their very own series. Fingers crossed!

What She Lost and Found by M.L. Garcia is a very emotional story. Daniela has had her life torn apart and now she has to try to fight through it.
Daniela has experienced trauma that no one should ever have to deal with. She thinks that starting over in a new city and getting a fresh start may help. However, she realizes her past is holding her back. She doesn’t get close to people, she doesn’t trust anyone, especially men, and she doesn’t feel safe.
Due to some scenes being depicted fairly detailed, this book may not be suitable for some readers but the author does a good job balancing the “dark” parts of the book with more cheerful, light parts as well. I truly couldn’t put this book down. My heart ached for Daniela but I was glad to see her working through her issues and gaining meaningful relationships in her life. I absolutely recommend this book.

This is a young adult story that took me on an adventure and action that made it fun to read. This is about four young adults that find they are “The Chosen” and their mission is to save the Orbs before it is too late. Is it to big a task for them? They are great characters that bring the story to life and keep you reading. They are full of drama and emotion. It is a great start to the series, I can’t wait to see what happens next. I highly recommend this book.

I never hesitate to pick up this author’s books, there is always an adventure, humor, and lots of twists and turns, this book is no different. This story is about Vee who has just landed her dream job. Her life has had its ups and downs with her family and her bad choice in men. Now there is someone who is trying to kill her. Will she ever find a HEA that she so deserves? I enjoyed watching Vee grow throughout the story after all she has been through. I highly recommend this book.

Not my first read by this author, so I knew going in that this book was going to be well written, witty and fun. I was not disappointed in the least. This book tackles both spectrums of the body image issues. Too Skinny and too fat. As someone who is on their own weight loss journey, I know how hard using the word fat, can be. I connected deeply with Fiona, and the path she walked, and the path she chose to overcome.
I have to say, as fun and as lighthearted this book may have appeared, it got down to the nitty gritty, and shoned a much needed light on the people, that we as a society have considered “unworthy” or “undesirable”. Both Fiona’s and Stu’s backstories are riddled was pain, and mental scarring that have affected their adult life. This book strips away those layers, so we can see the people that lay underneath all that social negativity.
Both Fiona and Stu are phenomenal multi layered characters. I loved both their personalities, and their blunt, straightforwardness to life. Fiona may have called herself a pleaser, but I sided with her BF Diane. Her personality shone bright, and her kind, no BS heart, stole the show. In my eyes, her and Stu where never the underdogs. Stu on the other hand, though came across as quiet and reserved, soon became a quick favourite. He isn’t anything but, and frankly, if the author chose, could have him narrated this whole book, and carried the story on his own. Have two such powerhouse characters come together for a common goal, was something I tell you.
And this is where I leave you, cause I might be here forever telling you how much I love and thoroughly enjoyed this unique, fresh book. About real people, with real problems, that learned how to overcome them, in a real life way. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will fall head over heels for not only this book, but for Stu and Fiona.
