Just as strong as the first book in this series, this installment is a tad weirder but just as likely to suck you in until the very last page. Strong characters with well-written personalities. They could be your neighbors with the flaws they have. The plot might confuse you in a few places but you will be sucked right in just like a vacuum. Strong, action packed and definitely original, I loved this one also.

Beginnings and Endings: A Selection of Short Stories by Jane Suen. I loved this series of short stories. It is about how changes can be a good thing which I need to hear! This book kept me turning pages and turning pages until I was finished. My favorite story was Grit’s Girl. It is about a girls love for grits and how she met the man of her dreams. If you need a light read that will keep you interested for a short while, get this book. You won’t be disappointed. There are 3 stories and 1 bonus story and they were all very good. The bonus story Pick Me is a short read that teaches us that even stuffed animals have feelings! Just an all around feel good, upbeat read!

I normally don’t read alot of romance books but this story did not disappoint. It was the perfect combination of romance and spells that I needed. I have always loved books about witches and this book really brings out the loyalties that lie within a coven. I fell in love with characters, especially Cassie, and I can’t wait to continue reading more books from this author.

I loved how we knew as the reader that the relationship would come but it was a slower burn to get there. The character development as well as getting to know the thoughts inside their heads were a great part of the story overall! I loved that the story was told from both characters as well so that we could make connections ourselves. I found myself saying “Why can’t you see what’s happening right in front of your face?!” more often than not! It was a sweet story and a great quick summer read!

Avenging Devil Part 1 (Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #3) by Manda Mellett. First off I LOVE Manda Mellett so I was super excited to read this book and it was amazing. Its the story of Saffie who has been assaulted by members of another biker’s club and is notably terrified of biker’s. Her ex boyfriend was a biker as well and she’s always looking over her shoulder to see if he’s hunting her down. He told her he would kill her for leaving him. Niran is a biker like no other, he’s kind, caring and compassionate. When he meets Saffie she is a shell of her former and scared of everything but Niran can’t help wanting to protect her. Saffie isn’t having it and continually pushes him away but he keeps trying. Saffie knows she needs Niran’s protection so she is sensible enough to not completely push him away. Will Saffie eventually open her heart to Niran and will Niran continue to try to help Saffie? Read this amazing, emotional story that will keep you turning pages late in the night!

Sex on Fire (Naughty Neighbor Book 1) by Ashley Bostock
4 Stars
I took a chance on this story because it was a short story and I read it in about 30 minutes. It was written very well and flowed beautifully. I did though miss the character development that you would get with a longer story, as well as the building of the connection between the main characters. It was definitely steamy and a quick fun read though and I’m glad I picked it up. I have read a couple of this authors’ books and have liked both of them and will definitely read more from her in the future.
If you’re looking for something steamy, quick, and fun, with really awesome writing I highly recommend picking up this book.

This a a nice collection of short stories. There is a little glimpse into the windows of these lives. The author does a good job even hitting on the *feelings from these characters. It ranges from surprise, confusion, sadness and strength. While it only took a few minutes to read it is well written and enjoyable.

5 Stars Of Fire & Bone (Of Magic & Scales Book 3) by Natalina Reis
Of Fire & Bone is the third book in the Of Magic & Scales series by Natalina Reis. To say I was excited to get my hands on this book is an under statement. I was so excited about this book I read it in one day. Once I started I couldn’t stop. I highly suggest reading the first two books if you haven’t already as they are just as wonderful as this one. Aiden and Nael , Aiden is a much better person than he once was and struggles with that and has no desire to ever be that person again. Nael makes him want to be a better person . He’s beginning to realize that maybe he didn’t know as much about somethings as he thought he did . Can he forgive and move on? These two and there love for one another made my heart so happy. They really are great together. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Bad Man on Campus by Stephanie Queen is book three of the Big Men on Campus Series. This book is a second chance college romance and can be read as a stand alone.this book pulled me in from the beginning!
Glory has been the social outcast in town for years due to an accident. When she finds out Kace is home from St. Paul University she just has to see him. She doesn’t expect to get a second chance as easily as she did but knows there’s a lot to work through for the two of them. Kace has developed a reputation and a bit of a player, keeping everyone at arms length. Glory seems to have an alcohol addiction. Both have many things to work through in order for their second chance to work.
This book was an emotional roller coaster. You really feel for both Glory and Kace and the trauma they’ve been dealt. I know I was on the edge of my seat hoping everything would work out for them individually and together.

Great book to indulge your senses that was easy to read and understand. Very easily a page-turner from the beginning. These characters are easy to love and give you so much to look forward to. The fantasy element makes it unpredictable. I love how entertaining it was that I couldn’t put it down. Very original but interesting!

This was a fun 4 star read. This is a very short story that you can read in one sitting.
Poppy has the hots for her neighbor, Tuner but has been trying to hide it behind her friendship with him. One day there is a very daring twist and he shocks Poppy with his declaration.
What does Turner see in Poppy? Can she get past her insecurities?
Overall this was a fun read. We get some steaminess. Both characters were loveable and you felt for Poppy and how nervous she was. I do wish that it was a little longer, at times it felt a little rushed. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. The author did a great job with her writing and pulled you right in. I can’t wait to read more from this series. 1-click and get started today.

A short yet sweet read, Sex on Fire by Ashley Bostock is the perfect book to read if you love short stories. Most readers will be able to devour this during lunch breaks or to wind down prior to bed.
Turner is the sexy next door neighbor to Poppy that she can’t stop fantasizing about. Despite having his choice in women, Turner has his eyes set on his nerdy but adorable neighbor Poppy, and the rest is history. Ashley writes a good story, even with a bit of turmoil in there between the characters.
I am definitely excited to read the rest of her books in the future!

Of Fire & Bone (Of Magic and Scales Book 3) by Natalina Reis was a really good read! This was a great continuation of the series, and it’s full of romance, feels, suspense, and tons of twists and turns. Or at least, I thought there were several twists and turns. I also laughed a good bit while reading this book too. You’ll definitely fall in love with all of the zany characters that are in this series. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and I can’t wait to read the next installment!

Beginnings and Endings: A Selection of Short Stories by Jane Suen was an interesting read. Each short story is very quick, I read this whole book in about 20 minutes. I would have to say, Grits Girl and The End Of Summer were my two favorites. The Accident just left me wanting more. I didn’t particularly like how the story ended on that one. The End Of Summer would be great to have a sequel. I would love to find out what Mikey’s response is at the end. All in all this was a very quick, entertaining read, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this collection of short stories.

Who doesn’t love a bad boy? Most of us do, but we also know they can come with “complications”. Chelsea, the main character in the book, is always attracting the bad boy, but starts to realize it always ends the same, in disappointment. Her roommate, Tom, who is also her brother’s best friend, is tired of hearing about her horrible dating experiences. He agrees to go along with a “dating training” of what it is to date a Nice Guy! I really enjoyed this book and how Williams portrays a love story. From the start there are no boring pages to this book. It is a fast read with great characters, great romance, and a very relatable story line. Personally, it brought me back to my previous, maladaptive dating life, but luckily I too took a chance on a nice guy that changed my life!!

I love the dual POV between Poppy and Turner. You have neighbors Poppy, who is a shy introvert video gamer and Turner, who is a landscaper. Turner finally makes a move and lets Poppy know how he feels. Sparks fly. When a fire starts at a BBQ, Poppy clams up….and retreats back to her safety net, her home. You definitely should read the book and find out if Turner brings Poppy out of her shell and continue their spark. This book is short, sweet and to the point! Totally love it!

Captured by the Viscount by Wareeze Woodson is a great historical romance that has a brilliant suspenseful element to it. This is such an easy book to get into, the characters were instantly likeable and the story well written. I was swept up into the story with no effort at all. This is a pretty new author to me but I am definitely enjoying her writing style. Her books seem to be well paced and interesting. The story in this book was well developed – it was thought and such a good book. This is always a genre I have enjoyed and I think this author just does it so well. This book was amazing. Author Dakota Willink draws you into the love story and never lets you down. The sparks fly and once they do you want everything to work out for these two. The backdrop of a summer talent camp is the wonderful place to let love fly. Cadence is an innocent at 18 trying hard to get into college early while Fitz is 22 and finished college. Fitz is the all American college playboy who has been sent to this camp as a punishment from his father. Fitz has a secret that could or will destroy the bond between him and Cadence. This book kept me reading and I didn’t want it to end. I was made to feel so many strong emotions. I can’t seem to get this story out of my mind a day later. I will be searching for book 2 in this series.

This is a sexy short action pact story which can be easily read in one sitting and you will not want to put the book down. It is steamy with plenty of fun banter between the couple which gave a fun and easy feel to this story.

I highly suggest that you read the previous books in this series to help your enhancement of this series. I loved this book and can’t wait to see what is next. This is a well written story that has characters that give the story life. They are strong, determined and really just made the story for me. This is an engaging, fast paced story that pulled me in from the first word. This book is about Hadassah who has been sent to earth because she did the unforgivable thing by sharing her powers with her brother. She finds herself on the run and who is determined not to let her heart go the dog shifter. He has taught her to love despite her determination not to. What will fate have in store for her? This is a sweet romance with a set up like your favourite rom-com: nice guy roommate given a chance to show the pretty girl with a penchant for bad boys just what she might be missing. I really liked the character of Tom and how casually he embodied a regular, respectful man. He treated Chelsea how she should be treated: with respect, care, and thoughtfulness. This doesn’t mean he’s milquetoast and boring however; he simply treats her like a person he cares about. There really is no going back to self-centred jerks who play games with your emotions after that! The story was believable and well-written, and the characters were appropriately round and fleshed out. While the plot followed an expected path, there were some stops along the way that surprised me and added depth. A good comfort read with a little bit of sizzle.

In a time where options for women were few and far between, Isabel had to make her own.
Wareeze Woodson has crafted a story filled with twists and turns, delicious bad guys and honorable heroes.. we are immersed into a historical whodunit that starts way before the first page.
Pushed to her limits Isabel finally has to take matters into her own hands. Setting out to right a wrong, she ends up married to Viscount Matthew Rutherford!
Suddenly ensconced into a life of nobility, and all the drama that family involves, Isabel and Matt try to find their way forward.
A very well spun story, with a historically accurate feel for society of the time I enjoyed this book and its characters as they wove their way through the mystery in front of them.

After reading Remember My Name(Book 1), I expected a similar story. I must say that I am pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t. Many of the problems experienced by the characters in both books are real life situations that people can learn and grow from.
Remember His Name is the story of Wren Stafford, an empath. Being an empath for him as a child was a horrific experience both at home and in school. People, including his father, didn’t understand him and his abilities, so he was bullied and abused. As an adult, Wren found an outlet for his abilities by opening an animal shelter, Paws and Claws. Through Paws and Claws, Wren meets Henry. Henry becomes his husband, but on their wedding day, Wren has a terrible vision. Five years later that vision comes true.
Upon his husband’s murder, Wren becomes a suspect. Despite being innocent, Wren is questioned often by the police and every time a similar murder occurs, he gets brought in again. Despite the harassment, Wren maintains his innocence and keeps looking for answers to his husband’s murder. Can Wren find the man who murdered his husband before it’s too late?

I understand that it was a quickie read, but I am left wanting more! The shy, self conscious girl who gets the attractive, fun-loving neighbor all to herself is literally what the majority of us (yes, I am speaking for a TON of people) have dreamed of at least once in our lives. The friendship between the two seemed solid and the lust between them was palpable. I love that Ashley was able to fit so much into such a short read, but am BEGGING for more to this story and these characters! If you haven’t read it yet, take some time out of your day and do it now.

Hoffman does it again! Remember His Name picks up with a new story following the painful life of empath Wren.
Wren endures ridicule and abuse for most of his life-never feeling wanted, much less understood. Still, his compassion and kindness are ever present, even with darkness all around him. After experiencing much loss, will he find happiness or will he make the ultimate sacrifice?
Although Hoffman’s books can be difficult to read with the many dark elements, there are always just enough little elements of light and happiness to keep you going. The suspense woven into the story keeps you turning the pages on this one too. I felt it all in this one, anger, sorrow, hope, and angst—I cried a few times. As with the first book, we’ll developed, likable characters and gripping storyline. I’m yearning for a third book (I hope there is one the works) to see how this saga may resolve!

This story is not safe for work, not for children and definitely not for readers with triggers due to rape, torture, or abuse. Everyone else will love this story…well maybe not the ending!! UGH those cliffhangers! But the title does say PART 1 for a reason!
Mellett loves her MC stories and she does an amazing job with each one. Every story digging deeper into the lives of Satan’s Devils and securing these characters into our hearts. Avenging Devil is no different! Saffie and Niran are strong characters on their own but they really need each other and we need them to work it out and realize their need is more than just about sex. The need for a friend, the need for protection, the need for love, and the need of feeling safe. Just plain safe.
This series needs to be read in order so that you can experience the other characters in the club and understand the brotherhood. Since this story ends with a cliffhanger, I am patiently ish waiting for part two.
