The Devil’s Shadow by T. Birmingham – Review by Stefanie Carney

The Devil's Shadow (Wild Beasts Series Book 4)The Devil’s Shadow by T. Birmingham
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The Devil’s Shadow is an all encompassing paranormal novel and it is the fourth book in the Wild beasts Series. It is not your typical paranormal story though and you know the book is going to be deep when there is a glossary in the front but I was very grateful for it. Though this book has a language all its own, the story is gripping and it will have you turning the pages faster and faster to see if this strange cast of characters can solve the mystery surrounding them. I think this book has a little bit of everything in it and I liked that it wasn’t typical to any genre. It was a great blend of everything I like to read and I can’t wait to see what this group gets up to next.

This paranormal romance is a page turner from beginning to end. The fourth installment in the series, it is best appreciated read in the order presented. Birmingham continues to provide the reader with such a rich universe with complex, detailed characters. I truly felt myself completely immersed into this universe and was only disappointed when the story came to its final page. Well written and highly enjoyable, this book and series is one that is recommended.

The Devil's Shadow (Wild Beasts Series Book 4)The Devil’s Shadow by T. Birmingham
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Devil’s Shadow by T. Birmingham is the fourth book in the Wild Beasts series. This is one of those books that definitely has a bit of everything – fantasy, romance, action, paranormal. There is definitely something there for everyone.
I would definitely recommend reading this series in order. I read this book on its own and I know that I have missed a lot because of that. It felt like the character build up and the story setting has either been done in books before or has been building throughout the series and I knew I didn’t have full knowledge.
However the book was still well written and had a great depth to it. The characters were still interesting and easy to read about. It is obvious to see this is a brilliant series. Which is why I will be going straight back to book 1!!!

I could not wait to get my hands on this book, I love this series there’s no doubt about that but I absolutely love this author, I have read many of her other books outside of this series and she is an absolute must read, one click kind of author.

I don’t normally fall in love with this genre, but I sincerely have, I love all of these characters and the storylines throughout are fantastic. Each book has its own story following a main couple but all of the characters intertwine and there are ongoing stories through the whole series. Something big is happening, you can just feel it while reading and I can not wait to get my hands on the next in this amazingly awesome series.

This author has a style that is unmatched, you start reading and then just cant put it down, you want to just stay in this world she has created.

As much as I don’t want this series to end I also can’t wait to put them all back to back and take a whole weekend to read them all over again.

Loved Loved Loved It!!!

The Devil’s Shadow by T. Birmingham
Wild Beasts Series book 4
My Rating 5 out of 5 stars

I love a good paranormal romance and upon reading the 4th book in this series I would say T. Birmingham has got me again. There is such great depth to the characters and so many different aspects to the book that cover multiple genres. In my opinion I would not read as a stand alone as there are character overlaps from previous books, but I would definitely recommend this series.

In this book we meet Ginny and Kieran. Ginny thinks she is going crazy and does not want anyone close to her for fear of dragging them down. Kieran believes Ginny is his mate, and once he finds his mate he will not stop until she knows she is his. The couple go through some tough trials and tribulations along with some of their friends, dealing with murders and trying to figure out why this is happening, and if they will will make it as a couple or have to go their separate ways.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, as much as the previous book. I love the stories behind each character and learning of pasts and even current issues that haunt them. T. Birmingham as such a way with words, and the stories will suck you right in. I recommend this book to any paranormal lover, as well as anyone who loves romance, action, mystery and suspense all packed into one book.

The Devil’s Shadow by T. Birmingham – Review by Erin Wolf

The Devil's Shadow (Wild Beasts Series Book 4)The Devil’s Shadow by T. Birmingham
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I give The Devil’s Shadow (Wild Beasts Series Book 4) by T. Birmingham, 4 stars.

Ginny is losing her mind. She has always been told madness runs in her family and now it seems like it’s finally happening. She is seeing things now. But that isn’t her only problem. So much has happened to her, she will never be “normal”. She has accepted it as much as she can but there is one problem, and his name is Kieran. This man won’t leave her alone. He believes she is his fated mate. But she is too broken, she cannot pull someone down. This is not the only problems surrounding this couple and their friends. There have been murders happening around them, and it seems like the supernatural may be involved. Can they get to the bottom of what is really happening and just how far does it go? What will happen between these two extraordinary people? Can they find love or are they destined to be alone?

This book is quite good. It has been a long time since I read the previous book, so it took me a little while to get back into it, but it is such an incredible world and soon I was pulled in and could not put the book down. The story is so complex — there are many things happening in this book. Not to mention the fact that all of the characters are great. I felt like a part of this “family”. The author does such a good job of weaving a fantastic tale of love, suspense, and action set in the supernatural world. I cannot wait to read the next book and highly recommend this book and series.

The Devil's Shadow (Wild Beasts Series Book 4)The Devil’s Shadow by T. Birmingham
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Devil’s Shadow is the fourth book in T. Birmingham’s Wild Beasts paranormal romance series. Each book can be read as a standalone, as they follow two new main characters and their relationship and a new mystery to solve. The Devil’s Shadow follows Kieran Gimble and Ginny Zolanski and how they begin to slowly intertwine as fated mates. Their romance was very well written and mixed in nicely with all the paranormal elements of the story, that kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the lore of the book, and the myths and monsters it has created, and Birmingham’s take on these creatures of the night. I loved her descriptions and writing throughout the book. I especially enjoyed her unique take on ‘light versus dark’ trope, and that complex characters aren’t one or the other; that humans always struggle with what is good and what is evil, and always sit in this gray area of morality.
I was a little skeptical when I first bought this book, but was quickly swept up in the magic of the story and the beauty of the writing. I highly recommend this series, and look forward to the next one by T. Birmingham

The Devil’s Shadow by T. Birmingham a five-star read that won’t leave you in the shadows. This is the forth novel in the Wild Beasts series and it could be a stand-alone but honestly, I have read the series and loved it as it progresses along, so I would recommend the series but if you don’t have the time you could just try this one. Ginny and Kieran will captivate you. The depth of the characters in this series have been sublime, you need to invest a little time in this one so don’t think you can pick it up and put it down every five minutes but if you have the time to give in and get stuck in then you wont be disappointed, the world building is second to none and will make you feel like you are in another time and place.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Devil’s Shadow (Wild Beasts #4) by T. Birmingham is another great addition to this wonderful yet complex series. You could read this as a standalone but I suggest you don’t as the characters intertwine from story to story. It is a paranormal fantasy romance story that has many elements interwoven that makes for one hell of a journey. The suspense and mystery, action and drama had me on the edge of my seat and my heart pumping as I turned page after page just to see where we would end up. I also love the world building and the legends, lore and history behind these wonderful characters and their world where one’s imagination runs wild and free.

I have been looking forward to reading Ginny’s story as she is the most unique and quirky of the bunch. But hers is a heartbreaking, yet heartfelt story, but it explains so much and made me love her all the more.

This is a series and book I would recommend and I look forward to reading the next story in the series.

The Devil’s Shadow is the fourth book in T. Birmingham’s Wild Beasts’ series AND you absolutely need to read the stories in order as there are so many threads that come from the previous books that give us this complex story of dark and light! You will wander in the dark and get frustrated like hell if you do not do so (I know some people say it doesn’t matter but…well, I do not agree! I have read most of her books and oh my goodness, the imagination that the writer has … she still keeps blowing my mind with how she can go from paranormal to wounded warriors … in one breath …
The Devil’s Shadow is the story of Ginny and Kieran and their journey towards each other and their destiny of being fated mates … but that is only the main thread of the story, there are so many other threads that get their answers though well, the writer does leave us with more questions and impatiently waiting for the next instalment! You will cry and laugh and your heart breaks and there are moments that touch your heart and leave you with hope … I cannot wait what the writer will bring us next!

The Devil’s Shadow was a great 5 star read and book four in the Wild Beasts series..
I was once again pulled right in by the author and couldn’t stop until I was done. This was a great storyline along with being a paranormal/mystery read.

Why do we desire, above all other things, that which has the greater power to destroy us?

This is Ginny and Kieran’s story. I quickly fell for these two, I really liked Ginny’s strength. These two were definitely meant for each other. The connection between them was great. There are several twist and turns that will pull you in and add more to this great story. Will they solve the mystery behind the abductions?

My emotions were all over the place. All of the other secondary characters added a great element to the story and were very unique. We get suspense, action, mystery and so much more. You can read this as a standalone but I highly suggest reading from the beginning, this will help you connect better with the characters. .

I am a huge fan of this author and this series. THE DEVIL’S SHADOW is the 4th book in the “Wild Beasts” series. I’ve read the other books so knew what threads have come from previous stories. I do believe you could read this as a stand-alone with out being too lost.

If you took the paranormal out of this book, it would be a good, old fashioned, mystery/suspense. WITH the elements that are interwoven in this story – just WOW. It’s a seriously complex tale that held my interest from beginning to end.

This story has an edge to it that engaged me, as a reader, in such a way I didn’t want to put it down. It’s on the longer side of my typical reads so I didn’t read it in one setting as I would have liked.

A very enjoyable story that I definitely recommend.

The Devil's Shadow (Wild Beasts Series Book 4)The Devil’s Shadow by T. Birmingham
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Devil’s Shadow is the fourth book in the Wild Beasts Series by T. Birmingham. It is a fantasy/paranormal romance with mystery, action, suspense and drama. I love the way Ms. Birmingham builds the tension and suspense in this book, and as with the other books in the series, she had me on the edge of my seat, reading as quickly as I could, to discover what would happen.
This story could be read as a standalone, but I don’t recommend that. If you haven’t read the other books, I really recommend that you do because so much back story, character introductions, and other relevant information is contained in those books- and having all that information on board will greatly enhance your overall reading experience of not only this book, but the series as a whole.
As with the other three books, this one also has quite a complex storyline, which Ms. Birmingham has cleverly woven into another captivating instalment.
This story focuses on Ginny and Kieran- although characters we’ve met in previous book/s also make appearances. I greatly enjoyed following them on this ‘adventure’ and finding out a lot of the answers to questions that I’d had.
The world-building, legend, and lore was incredibly well done, superbly developed- and entirely believable. The characters are extremely interesting, likeable and multi-dimensional. There are emotional factors in this story- moments of extreme heartbreak, as well as other moments that were truly heartfelt.
The story has a great pace and is easy to read. I really enjoy Ms. Birmingham’s style and imagination. I can’t wait to see what she does next.

Thank you, Ms. Birmingham!

The story The Devil’s Shadow (Wild Beasts Series Book 4) by T. Birmingham is a paranormal/fantasy romance book. It is a story that hooks you in from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go until you have read the final page. It is a story with action, adventure, danger, and romance. I enjoyed reading about the main characters of Kieran Gimble and Ginny Zolanski. They are characters that you grow to care about and I couldn’t help but want them to be happy. There are also many additional characters that each have a part to play in the story and I enjoyed reading about them as well. There is a feeling of comradery, friendship, and family that is strong. You can tell from the way that they banter, interact, and sometimes conflict with each other. There are both moments that are sad and break your heart as well as heartwarming moments. This is a story that has amazing world building. The lore/history and legends told are very detailed. There are times in the book that I felt like I was right there with the characters. There is also romance included in this story which touches your heart. This is the fourth book in the Wild Beasts series and I loved it just as much as the first three. The crypts of gods, long dead, are being ransacked.
Nature whispers secrets in hushed tones to the beings who will listen.
Prophets call out warnings with each breath of power they speak into existence.
Ghosts haunt. Shadows roam. And the Devil waits for his due.

Kieran Gimble is used to the ebb and flow of the universe. He’s been around long enough to know nothing ever stays the same. Then again, nothing much changes either. And yet, his own world is full of unknowns, including kidnappings and a mate who won’t give him the time of day.

Ginny Zolanski is broken. Whatever super self-control she’s had for the last half-century is failing her. Being close to Kieran may settle the raw pain she battles on a daily basis, but falling for a man she’ll only end up hurting would be her worst decision yet. And she’s made some doozies.

As Ginny falls deeper into the darkness and a past she thought was behind her draws ever closer, it may be that the bond she and Kieran have is her only chance for freedom.

The shadows are closing in and the worlds are unraveling all while Ginny, Kieran, and those at Shadow Lodge try to solve the newest mystery: who’s abducting locals and what do the Light Skröm have to do with it?

A Terrible Beauty (Fallen Eagles MC Book 1)A Terrible Beauty
ByT. Birmingham
My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Terrible Beauty (Fallen Eagles MC Book 1) by T. Birmingham has me hooked from start to finish.

Not my first read by this author, I knew going in that I was in for a well written, detail hooking read, that would capture me until the very last page. And you know what, that’s exactly what I got!

Strong multi layered characters mixed with an equally strong plot, I can honestly say I was engrossed into this story. And I have to add, this is coming from someone who isn’t a big MC reader. This book, is different, it isn’t like other MC’s and I believe that is what hooked me so. The raw emotions, the graphic scenes, the connections and the flow of this book was, wow. I felt like I was reading an actual world, like I was there looking in. Being in the service myself and having friends that suffer from PDST, I connected in a way most won’t, and seeing it treated with care and raw truth, hit home for me.

With that said I’m going to leave you here, because I don’t want to give anything away. This is a book you need to experience first hand, without spoilers and without bias. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that if you’re not a MC reader like me, I implore you to give this book a chance.

Happy Reading

This series just keeps getting better! Written in the Stars is Book 2 in the Fallen Eagles MC series written by T. Birmingham. This book follows the President of the MC and of course one of our Markham girls. Davis “Eagle” Landon and Winter Markham have had a thing for each other for quite some time now. However, it’s finally time for those two to figure things out. However, Eagle has another murder to solve. This time the murders involves Winter and a copycat serial killer. You won’t believe who this murderer is! I wasn’t expecting it at all. Despite the 13 year age gap between Eagle and Winter they end up being perfect for each other. Eagle is Not to mention how ridiculously hot the sexy scenes end up being. But can Eagle save Winter when the time comes? I absolutely love this author and the way that she can pull you in and keep you enthralled. She is very good with the dichotomy between the love story and a murder or in this case…murders. I simply cannot wait for the next book to come out. I have feeling who the next couple is but what other twists will we find ourselves wrapped up in! I definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves romance and murder mysteries. Of course, like all series I advise to start with book 1 so you can follow a continual story, but you really don’t need to here.

Written in the Stars is the second book in the Fallen Eagle MC Series by T. Birmingham. This series should be read in order because it follows the first book and the characters are recurring. Plus why would you want to miss out on the fabulous first book in the series, A Terrible Beauty. This romantic suspense had me hooked on the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until I finished the last. It is fast paced and an emotional roller coaster. It had me laughing out loud and also reaching for a tissue a time or two. A book that can move me so much and leave me with a book hangover for days after is definitely Five Stars. I love Eagle and Winter’s story and how their characters grew throughout the book. This is such a great series an$ I look forward to reading more by T. Birmingham. I have to say this is my new favorite book of 2019.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Written in the Stars is the 2nd book in the Fallen Eagles MC Series by T. Birmingham. It continues after A Terrible Beauty, and should not be read as a stand alone. This story focuses on Winter and Eagle (or Davis) and their growing relationship. I like that it has overlapping characters and history from the first book, but enough of its own content to make it equally enjoyable. The characters are wonderful and their relationships are strong. At first I thought it was weird that Winter and her sisters are named after seasons, but after this book, it makes sense. Their personalities align with their names too which I thought was cool.
This book is a perfect balance of romance and suspense and kept me engaged start to finish. There is the mystery of the murders, but also the developing relationship. The more I got to know the characters, the more I loved them. I would like to read more about the Markham sisters, if the series continues. I love the real life situations, as well as the emotions involved. The hurt, love, self doubt, courage, fear, strength that the characters experience and often struggle with. Very real life down to earth story. Highly recommend it.

T. Birmingham did it again. I love Written in the Stars. That does not mean I do not love A Terrible Beauty because I do. I just love Winter and Eagle characters. Again this is a sensitive subject matter and there is still the warning for older teens and adults only. This story has suspense, military romance, and even some thriller mixed in. This installment is about Winter and Eagle. Eagle is the president of the Fallen Eagles and Winter runs the Salon in town. There is a mystery that has come knocking on the door of the town. Will everyone come together to protect each other or will there be a fall out and no one is safe? I hope you enjoy this story and remember to keep tissues close by.

A Terrible Beauty (Fallen Eagles MC Book 1)A Terrible Beauty by T. Birmingham
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

T. Birmingham took sensitive subject matters and created a wonderful book series, Fallen Eagles MC Series. Book 1 is A Terrible Beauty which is a novella and a great opening to say the least. The way Birmingham brought the characters to life on the page is outstanding. I felt like I was there watching everything transpire. I will have to say that there are some adult subject matters and I would recommend this story to be for older teens (16 & 17) and adults. This story is a suspense and military romance genre. Birmingham sent me on a roller coaster ride with my emotions and found it difficult at some points within the story. When I found that happening I had to reassure myself it was a fiction book. This story is about Kit and Lee and everything around them. I hope you enjoy this story as well as I have and remember keep tissues by you while reading.

Written in the Stars (Fallen Eagles MC, Book 2) by T. Birmingham – Review by Michelle Austin

Written in the Stars (Fallen Eagles MC Book 2)Written in the Stars by T. Birmingham
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Written in the stars was a great 5 star read and book two in the Fallen Eagles MC series.
This is Eagle and Winter’s story. I highly suggest reading book one first. Eagle is the president of the Fallen Eagles MC. Winter is a strong woman who owns her own salon.

He had one of those voices, complete with a slight Texas twang, that wrapped around you like a silk tie secured to your wrists as you wantonly clung to the ecstasy of a forbidden moment. -Winter

When there is a murder things take an interesting twist. I love a read that has me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what is going on and this one didn’t disappoint.

There is so much going on in this book on top of the connection between Eagle and Winter.
All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. We get suspense, romance, mystery, and so much more. My emotions were all over the place, I was exhausted. T. Birmingham does a great job with detail and pulls you right in with her writing. Note that there are some dark elements in the story as well. This is a must read series.
