Caught in the Spin (The Caught Series Book 2)
By Sharleen Scott
Rated 5 Stars!!

I LOVE the cover of this book! So Sexy! This is the perfect second book in this series! We were introduced to Tom in the last book. He is a cowboy who runs a ranch in Nashville. He is also the head of security for Clay Masterson. The brother and best friend. The relationship we saw between Clay and Tom last book really shows its true colors in this one. It’s nice to read about this with the men. Normally it’s a female who has an amazing best friend. This is different and I like it. They have talks and always have each other’s backs. One of my favorite relationships in the two books! I also enjoyed learning about Tom’s past and seeing how he ended up the way he is now. Very interesting! Tallie Peters was perfect! Not only Tom but she brought an element of danger to the story. She has a colorful past she is trying to out run. She is smart and protective. I liked her character very much.

It was great to see Clay and Harlie in this book. They were involved and helpful to both of the main characters. I liked seeing where they are now. This is full of some great characters that add so much to the story. It don’t pull away too much from Tom and Tallie.

This is my third book by this author. She easily drew me into the lives of these characters. The story flowed nicely and I read it fairly quickly. The characters were fun, flirty and dangerous. While this could be read as a stand alone I HIGHLY recommend reading book 1 (Caught in the Cross Seas). Perfect Title as well! So be ready for the “Spin” in this book!

Caught in the Spin by Sharleen Scott a four- star read that will put you in a spin. This is the second novel in the Caught series, you could read them as stand-alone but there are spoilers due to recurring characters, so if you fancy the series do yourself a favour and read them in order. This was a great story, Tallie will be someone you warm to and understand, you will care for her as the story develops, she isn’t someone you grow to like, her story will warm you to her and its very well done. There is a lot to grip you in this story and you will enjoy this very much.

Caught in the Spin (The Caught Series Book 2) by Sharlene Scott

5-stars

It’s books like this one that have me wishing I could rate more than 5-stars and completely fueling my reading addiction. Caught in the Spin is a phenomenal romance read that I thoroughly enjoyed! Somehow, I loved this book more than the first one and that’s saying something since I LOVED that one! Tallie and Tom’s story was completely addicting, I quickly forgot about the real world as I got captivated in this thrilling romance read! There were many twists and turns and I couldn’t wait to figure everything out.

Sharlene Scott is a new to me author and I can honestly say that she’s quickly made her way on my list of favorites. Her writing is incredible, the stories flow seamlessly and there’s so much detail that it’s almost impossible not to connect with the characters.

I would absolutely recommend this series and book to anyone looking for their next romance read!

Caught in the Spin (the Caught Series Book 2) By Sharleen Scott. I love a good book with romance and suspense in it and this one check those boxes completely. While you could read this as a standalone I’d recommend doing them in order because past characters show up in this one also. Tallie and Tom are definitely characters I won’t be forgetting anytime soon. Tallie’s character is one of my favorite female characters I’ve read in a while. Their story is an adventure you can’t miss. It’s well written and and had me guessing in parts, paced nicely with great characters readers can connect with. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to everyone. Can’t wait for more.

A great read about a second chance. Tom is trying to get his life together with a job on a ranch after his bull riding career ended and his lover left him. His life is changed when Tallie arrives into his life and accepts him the way he is. Can he put the past behind him for a new future?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Tallie independent and a caring mother or Tom trying to make his life better even if it’s difficult. Great cast of supporting characters like the sweet Harlie or the banter nature of Clay. I loved the sense of family in the novel with the ranch workers all looking out for each other was a lovely touch.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel in the sense of the farm with its sights and smells as if you were actually there with the bulls and the horses and the hay. Or the barbecue scenes full of life and people but still claustrophobic for Tom so beautifully written. Loved the sense of the everyday in the novel with two people struggling through life and parenthood. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

Caught in the Spin is book two in the Caught series by Sharleen Scott. This author just keeps getting better and is a suspense romance genius.

Tallie has secrets. Tallie has an adorable son. Tallie is hiding from her murderous ex-husband. Tallie is terrified. Tallie is very attracted to Tom. Tallie just wants a happy, peaceful life. Tallie needs Tom.

Tom has made a bit of a mess of his life in the past, but has himself back on the straight and narrow. Tom lives day to day, full of regret and reflection. Tom meets Tallie. Tom is reserved and feels undeserving. Tom plays hard to get. Tom is blindsided by his past. Tom allows himself happiness.

Tom and Tallie make quite the attractive couple. Both has scars, both have commitments. Both need the other. Tom vows to keep Tallie and her son safe. Their feelings grow slowly, but intensely. Their passion limitless. Their personalities complimented each other brilliantly. The author could not have penned their connection any better. The wording was spectacular, the direction the story followed was awash with tension and uncertainty. A definite 5 star read.

Caught in the Spin is the second book in the Caught series. When I first started to read this series, I almost stopped reading because of the romance theme but that would have been a big mistake. This story is more than a romance story. It has an element of suspense and mystery. Sharleen Scott can tell a great story and I felt like I was in the story with Tallie and Tom. Tallie is looking for a place to go that will be safe for her and her son from her ex-husband who has been in prison. Will there be refuge in the ranch with Tom or will Tallie’s ex-husband find them and take her son away from her?

Caught in the Spin is the second book in The Caught Series by Sharleen Scott. As I have come to expect from Ms. Scott, this is a well written and intriguing read. The story could be read as a standalone, but there are recurring characters, and details, that you would better appreciate having read the first book before embarking on this one.
This is a great series, well worth your time to read- the characters are beautifully developed with their own personalities- and Ms. Scott certainly knows how to craft a completely engaging and captivating story. It has so much going on in it- from danger, mystery, suspense, action, drama, tension, and of course romance. The storyline drew me in and had me anxiously flipping pages to find out how everything plays out and I found myself completely invested in Tallie and Tom- and the outcome of their story.
Well worth the read! Can’t wait to see what Ms. Scott does next!

Thank you, Ms. Scott!

This is book two in the Caught Series. The story picks up two years after the first book ends. Tallie Peters is Harv’s new assistant and she heads up to Clay Masterson’s ranch for him to sign some papers. While there, she meets Tom Black and sparks fly. Of course, being stubborn, Tom fights the attraction. When Tom finds out that Tallie’s ex-husband is out of prison and is trying to kill her, he offers Tallie and her son a safe haven at his place.

Let me tell you, her ex-husband Roy Peters is crazy! The sad part is that there are men like him who exist. I felt so bad for Tallie. This book took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I found myself crying on several occasions. I suggest having a box of tissue near you while reading this book.

We met Tom Black briefly in the first book and he seemed alright. This story focuses on him and he is incredible! As much as I liked Caught in Cross Seas, I absolutely loved this book! This was an engaging story filled with romance, action and heart stopping drama.

I think Sharleen Scott is an amazing writer. Her characters are well developed and relatable. You are able to connect with the characters and cheer them on. Her stories are compelling and grab you right from the beginning and keep you on the edge constantly wanting more. I highly recommend you read this book!

Caught in the Spin by Sharleen Scott is book two of the Caught series. This book can be read as a standalone but I suggest reading them in order because book one is just as good.

Tallie lands a job that definitely makes life better for her and her son. Things are looking up for Tallie and they keep getting better when she meets Tom Black. Why Tallie doesn’t expect is the danger that is lurking. Tom will do what he has to to protect Tallie but he may not be able to.

There is quite a bit of suspense in this book and I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. Tom and Tallie are great characters. I was rooting for them the whole time but my emotions were on a rollercoaster. So far, I think they may be my favorite characters in this series. Can’t wait to read more!

Caught in the Spin (The Caught Series Book 2) by Sharleen Scott was an hooking read that I couldn’t take my eyes away from!

Not my first read by this author or in this series. Just a heads up, though you can read this as a standalone, this book takes place about two years after the first book, so there are major spoilers. I highly suggest you read the first book, also you get to meet Tom in that first book.

Moving on.

I jumped into this book right after finishing the first, because Caught in Cross Seas was so captivating that I didn’t want to leave that world just yet. And just like that first book, was I was pulled in, held captive and I didn’t want to leave. There is a third book, that I have already read, so yeah you can say this whole series is just freaking amazing.

Like the first book I fell right in love with our MC’s Tom and Tallie. Tom, who I met in that first book, is hot, good natured and too damn perfect for his own good, scars and all. There was quite the twist in this one, one I didn’t see coming and one you won’t either. It really added not only a heartbreaking note, but it provided a building block for Tom’s characters growth and pay homage to his and Clay’s upbringing.

Tallie, she’s a spitfire and one hell of a brave woman. I loved her from the start and the more I read about her the more I wanted her to be real, so I could be her friend. Her story, what she went through and the courage she showed not only for her son before towards the end, just proves that you don’t mess with momma bear. Her and Tom are a perfect match, and I wish nothing but good things for them. They could have their own spin off books for their family, and I would gladly eat them up.

Overall, if you haven’t guessed, this book gets my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval. This engaging, detail rich read will pull at your heart strings, shocked you with raw anger and have you wishing you could be there, helping, looking and wanting nothing more then to see these two prevail.

Happy Reading

Caught in the Spin by Sharleen Scott is the second book in the Caught series. The story is about Tallie Peters and Tom Black. Tallie has rebuilt her life with her young son. Tom is a former bull rider who has a string of short romances. When the two meet the sparks start to fly. Tallie is dealing with her ex threatening her and Tom helps to come to her and her son’s rescue. Can the two get over their pasts and find romance? This like the first book in the series is well written with enduring characters. I enjoyed reading the progression of the story and the hardships that Tallie faces. I really liked Tallie – her story was full of action, drama and more! She was such an independent person but you could tell there was always this fear lurking for her when it came to her ex-husband. I loved the attraction between her and Tom, it felt so real and genuine. I really liked Tom too and I was really rooting for him and Tallie the whole way through – I thought they were perfect for each other!

The story Caught in the Spin (the Caught Series Book 2) by Sharleen Scott is a wonderful romance book. It does have some mystery and suspense included and scenes that had me wondering what was going to happen next and how everything would work out. I loved reading about the characters of Tallie Peters and Tom Black. Tallie is a strong and independent woman. She believes that her life has taken a turn for the better with her current job and also getting to meet the handsome former bull rider, Tom Black. Tom is a man who takes pride in his work and takes his job seriously. His life has casual hookups rather than any sort of relationships. Then he meets Tallie. There is an attraction between them. When Tallie fears that her ex-husband will stop at nothing to take her son, Tom offers her shelter. Will Tom be able to keep Tallie and her son protected and safe from harm? How far is Tallie’s ex-husband willing to go with his plans? Read this book to find out. Both Tallie and Tom are characters that I grew to care about with each chapter that I read. They both deserve happiness and I found myself rooting for them to find it. My emotions went through highs and lows when reading this book. There are intense and romantic scenes. I loved that a couple of the characters from the first book in the series crossed over into this one. You can feel the friendship and feeling of family in their interactions. This is a story that I didn’t want to put down until I had read the final page. It is a wonderful second book in the series and one you will not want to miss out on. I would highly recommend reading it.

Caught in the Spin, the Caught series book 2, by Sharleen Scott continues the romantic suspense theme experience from the first book in the series. In Caught in the Spin, we follow Tallie in her story amidst the drama, danger, action, and more. This story was enthralling and I could not put it down until I finished. Sharleen Scott has a way with her writing that delves into the story in such a way that makes the characters unforgettable – they may have flaws, but there are redeeming or aspiring qualities within them that make them shine. I enjoyed reading the events as they untangled in Caught in the Spin and waiting to see which way the ride shook them out.

Caught in Cross Seas was a great read! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first started reading and as this was also the first book that I have read by this author I was really looking forward to starting it and once I did I was hooked straight away. I LOVED Clay and Harlie, their story was really great to read about. The author wrote about them both in such a way that they really did feel real.
The story flowed so well, there were twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat, there was no part where the story dragged or where I lost interest. It was really was a fantastic read and I am really looking forward to reading the next book in the series!!!

Caught in Cross Seas by Sharleen Scott is book one of the Caught series. I couldn’t put this book down. It has it all; mystery, romance and suspense. I was on the edge of my seat.

Harlie is strong, independent and smart. Harlie has made a life for herself with her business. The last thing she expected was to be attracted to Clay. Clay is a country music superstar. Surely, Harlie’s attraction is one sided. Clay has secrets of his own but his focus right now is to find his father. Will the attraction sparking between Harlie and Clay turn into something else? What about their pasts?

I couldn’t put this book down. There were so many emotions and situations where I just wanted to yell at them to get it right. I felt really invested in the happiness of both Harlie and Clay. I can’t wait to read book two!!

This book has a little bit of everything. Mystery, romance, suspense and a dash of intrigue. Harlie and Clay are two very unique characters brought together by even more unique circumstances. Harlie is a strong, independent woman who is avoiding her past and she will do anything to keep the past from finding her, so much so that she has gone to the far corners of the USA to keep the past away.
Clay is a country music superstar and he has found himself in Harlie’s next of the woods searching for his father. His father is supposed to be dead, but rumors persist that he is alive, and a murderer.
Harlie and Clay start off like oil and water. They bash heads more often than cats and dogs, but as they grow to know each other, they begin to understand why the other is the way they are and what has lead them to be this way. The banter between the two of them is hilarious and frustrating at the same time.
Will Clay find his father? Will Harlie’s past find her? This book is a must read!

This story is a suspense story with a love story in it as well. Clay is a big city boy looking for his dad. He meets Harlie and that is when the story took off. Will Harlie and Clay find what they are looking for or will trouble come looking for them? This is one suspense, romance, and comedy you will want to read.

A great read about disappearing. Renowned country musician Hunt Masterston mysteriousky disappeared eighteen years ago. On the search for his father, Clay Masterston heads to Angel Beach to follow up a lead of a sighting. As his nsw next door neighbour, Harlie is soon drawn into his world and wants to help him. But it seems more than one person wants to find Hunt and as events unfold more secrets are revealed. Can you truly disappear forever?
a great read. Well developed plot with twists and furnx. Well developed characters like Harlie standing up for herself but caring underneath or Clay as a cocky musicisn but kind underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like supportive brother Tom or the optimistic Buck. The use of suspense was drawn out to perfection as details were revealed slowly to make you wnat to keep reading to find Hunt and discover why he went missing.
i loved the visual detail throughout the novel in the sense of the wild coast withthe cliffs and the sea and sand and the storms and seagulls to vibidly paint the picture for the reader and give a love to the wild nature that is psrt of home. Or the description of the bakery with its gentle and homely soft colours and chairs, with scents and display cases of cakes so vivid it was as if you were actually there.Or the feel of a little town with its small shops where everyone knows eachother.
i also adored the portrayal of the homeless people treated with kindness as people to be respected and helped when they are just down on their luck was emotive and beautifully written as they added character and a sweet tone to the novel. And also how they were encouraged fo pursue their passions like Buck with his music or Lisa with her paintings was a lovely touch.Overall, a great read and i would give it five stars.

Caught in Cross Seas (The Caught Series Book 1)- Sharleen Scott

5-stars

Caught in Cross Seas by Sharleen Scott is a phenomenal romance read and an incredible start to the Caught series! It’s thrilling, emotional, suspenseful, steamy and I was kept on my toes the whole way through.

From the very beginning I was hooked, I couldn’t get enough of Harlie and Clay, the two of them together were completely addicting! Harlie may just be my favorite character I’ve read about so far this year, she was selfless, caring, sweet, giving and she has a heart of gold! The world needs more people like her!

I can’t wait to read from this author while continuing with this series! This is a romance read I would absolutely recommend to everyone!

4 Stars!!!!

I just love finding new authors! This is the first book by this author I have read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The author has a refreshing writing style that brings the reader into the world she has created. I found myself glued to the pages not wanting to put the book down.

The chemistry between Harlie and Clay is just so unique. I found myself going through the emotions along with Harlie as she battles with her past and the uncertain future at first. I really like how the author was able to entwine both Clay’s and Harlie’s pasts and build the drama around them. I really found that it kept me wanting to see what happened next. I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.
