This is my first book by this author and i thought it was great. The author kept me on my toes and I was happy to turn page after page. Nathan and Bryer are the main characters and they have so much passion between the two of them they’re are on fire. They both have some changes that need to be made and we watch as they navigate through life and figure things out. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series and i would recommend this to a friend!
Happy Reading!

Bryer is heartbroken in this story. Going through a bad breakup. In comes Nathan. Typical playboy but is intrigued by Bryer. Plenty of suspense. And everytime you think you’re over one suspense hurdle, you’re hit by another one. I picked the softer version of this book, but its completely correct when it tells you it has the same intensity. Glad this is a trilogy because after you read this one, you’ll want more!!

Forgotten Truth Trilogy: Book One (The Forgotten Trilogy 1) by Virginia Wine is the tale of Bryer and Nathan. When she has her heart broken by her ex, Bryer doesn’t think that she will find love again, however she definitely feels more than just lust for her hunky personal trainer. Nathanial James Jr is not a one woman type of man, haunted by the demons of his past he does not feel worthy of love. Until he agrees to go out with Bryer. Their relationship is not easy, both of them need a shake at times but they manage to find a way to love each other, which isn’t easy with all the obstacles that get thrown up in their way. I enjoyed this book, I felt frustrated by the characters at times, but I think that their reactions/actions fitted well with their backstory. I am looking forward to the next instalment.

3 ½ Stars

Forgotten Truth is the first book in the Forgotten series by Virginia Wine. I have read quite a few books by Virginia Wine and have enjoyed her stories and the way she develops her plots.
The premise of this story was really intriguing, so it was an easy choice to snap up a copy and explore the story. I loved the storyline and all the suspenseful dramatic developments that Ms. Wine was able to create. There is quite a lot going on in this book, from intrigue, danger, action, suspense, a little mystery, tension, drama, chemistry, and of course plenty of sizzle.
Ms. Wine has created a complex story with cleverly crafted elements which kept me reading even though I couldn’t connect with the characters at all for most of the story. I can’t really pinpoint why exactly, except that I felt they were a little underdeveloped and came across a little flat to me. But the storyline kept me reading, and by the end I had grown to appreciate them more, but still wasn’t completely invested in them.
I am intrigued enough by the plot to want to read the next book/s- so I plan on doing a reread of this book again, before diving into the other two books- just in case I was having an ‘off’ reading day during this story.

Thank you, Virginia Wine!

Wow. I knew from the synopsis I would love the book but I was unprepared for the trip this took me on. Wine does a fantastic job filling the pages with detail, drama, pure emotion. It isn’t just about the chemistry between the main characters. It is the raw emotion in every moment. I truly loved this book and look forward to reading the whole series!

Forgotten Truth Trilogy: Book One (The Forgotten Trilogy 1) by Virginia Wine. This book will blow your doors off! Sexy, steamy and all the good stuff. This is a great debut novel and I can’t wait for the next one. This is the story of Nathaniel James Jr or Nathan and Bryer Reid. Nathan is a playboy and leads a solitary life because of a deep dark family secret. Bryer has been betrayed in the past so she’s not sure she can ever trust again but she is so attracted to Nathan. Sparks literally fly! They are so enticed by one another and they are so scared to feel anything but the chemistry is too intense. Will they be able to have a relationship regardless of their pasts or will the mystery and lies tear them apart? This book will keep you on the edge of your seats and once you begin reading it you won’t want to stop.

I don’t often have issues getting into a Virginia Wine novel because I have yet to find one by her that I didn’t love to pieces. Forgotten Truth keeps the trend going and has been absolutely in love with the story. Now, I will say just a warning so to speak that this is the first book in a trilogy so expect a cliffhanger that will leave you salivating for book two as soon as you read the last words. I love how this book was yes a start anew after a torrid or tumultuous past but told in a fresh way. Bryer (who doesn’t love this name!) a woman that is struggling to put the pieces of her life back together into a new normal after finding her husband in bed with another woman. Nathan is not the type she expected to intrigue her at first and knows that he too has skeletons in his closet. These two will be faced with not only their pasts but will have to figure out what and how they want the future to look like. The twists and turns that come in this novel will not be ones that you thought they would be and I loved the surprises with them. I look forward to getting my hands on the next book as soon as possible!

Forgotten Truth (Forgotten #1)Forgotten Truth by Virginia Wine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book that I have read by Virginia Wine, but it won’t be the last. First…I need to know what happens next. Also, the secondary characters in this book are good and deserve their own stories to be told. But, back to this book…

Bryer has been hurt in past relationships, with her last one leaving her not wanting to put herself out there. Nathan is the owner of the gym Bryer works out at. Nathan suffers from nightmares and has his own issues. However, they are attracted to each other. Once they go on their first date, we are pulled into a story that kept me turning the pages.

They are both dealing with pasts that they must come to terms with. Working together, they just might be able to do that. There is drama and suspense alongside a budding relationship that is growing and could be something amazing. Are they willing to be vulnerable in order to heal, or are they too stunted by their pasts to move forward?!? You will have to read it to find out!

5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the story Forgotten Truth Trilogy: Book One (The Forgotten Trilogy 1) by Virginia Wine. It is a story that pulled me in right from the beginning and I was hooked. I loved reading about the characters of Nathaniel James Jr and Bryer Reid. Bryer is a woman who had been betrayed in the past. She is strong and independent however she also finds it hard to trust. She also has a strong attraction to Nathaniel. Nathaniel is a man who doesn’t do relationships. There has been no one that has made him want more than something casual. He finds himself deeply attracted to Bryer. There is both chemistry and wild attraction between Nathaniel and Bryer. They both believe that their feelings are telling them that they belong together. Secrets are being revealed. Will those secrets break Nathaniel or set him free? Will Bryer give Nathaniel her trust? Read this book to find out. This is a story that is at times emotional. It has heartbreaking moments. There are also times of suspense that had me wondering what was going to happen next. There are romantic scenes included. I enjoyed reading about the bantering that goes back and forth between Nathaniel and Bryer. I also enjoyed reading about how the additional characters interacted with Nathaniel and Bryer. Some are good friends and give them advice and support when needed. Don’t miss out on a book that you will not be able to put down until you have read the final page. I highly recommend it.

I had no problem connecting with the characters as they brought the story to life. They tell a hot, steamy story of family secrets and deception. Nathan and Bryer both know what they want but will they be able to move forward from their pasts to have a future? I loved the chemistry these two have. The twists and turns left me turning pages fast. I highly recommend reading their story, it will heat up your night.

“Tell me Nathan, are your nightmares real?”

Nathaniel James Jr. finds his solitary life shattered by the discovery of a tragic family secret. Will the truth break him or set him free? A new tale riddled with intrigue, deception and two people falling in love. Where deadly secrets are hidden in plain sight only to be revealed by a shocking charade of betrayal.

This stirring novel will appeal to the ‘inner romantic.’ Bryer Reid’s first love betrayed her, could she trust again? Or will her life hang in the balance when she finds her days become a game of cat and mouse?

The pair follow a trail despite their better judgment. But what they uncover could destroy it all. Nathaniel James Jr. knows what he wants, and that’s the beautiful, successful Bryer Reid. Both have to conquer their past, so it doesn’t dictate their future together. But neither of them can anticipate the depths of treachery ahead.

Danger, lies, and mystery.

From the moment I met him, I knew I couldn’t resist.

From the moment I met her, I knew I could change.

Hot and steamy-or- Sweet and sensual.

Grace has a journey she needs to go through. She needs to heal but some will let her go, some will betray her, and some will just love her. This book was the master to the end of this series. I don’t want to give anything away but its one of those books that needs be begin without the knowledge of what happened just so you can feel the journey.

Surviving Grace is the fifth and final book in the Surviving series by Virginia Wine. This novella brings the whole series together and should not be read as a standalone. This book like the rest of the series is well written and grabbed my attention on the very first page. With this installment we learn about Grace and the things that happened to her in the past. This book is full of suspense, heartache, and heartwarming romance. I love how Ms. Wine brought back all of the characters from previous books. I highly recommend this book, series and author. Surviving Grace by Virginia Wine is the fifth and final book in this series. I tend to get very attached to the characters over the course of a series and generally have a hard time letting go and saying goodbye. I will miss everyone but I’m happy with the way it ended.

Grace had her trust destroyed by the people who she should have been able to trust until the end of time. They gave her to a complete stranger and it nearly destroyed her.

We got to watch Grace rise up from the ashes to start her life over again and find love with a great man and see where everyone else ended up.

So glad I took the time to read this and will be looking forward to reading more by this author.

Surviving Grace is book five in the Surviving series by Virginia Wine. The quality that is evident with each story from this author is expected,  but always surprising just how good they end up being. I am never quite prepared for the impact of the storyline or its characters. But it delicious being along for the ride.

Grace survives a horrific attack and losing her memory. She struggles to come to terms with it all, especially when the nightmare she endured starts to be revealed. Everything seems out of her control and she is losing her grip on her wish to get back to some sort of normality. The direction she was heading suddenly takes an unexpected turn and she has a hard time keeping up. This story had so many surprises and twists, which just crept up on me. The way the story was penned was original and really easy to read. It flowed without causing a ripple and ensnared me until the last word. A delightfully suspenseful drama that is well worth taking a chance on. 4 stars.

“I had my words to comfort me, my thoughts on paper. Pouring the black inky darkness onto the white sheets. Releasing them to the universe, a single slip of paper healing my broken past. Messy feelings visibly bared and unprotected for all to see. This was my story.”

Surviving Grace is the fifth and final book in the Surviving series by Virginia Wine. This book is written with a lyrical, poetic style that really enhanced this story. The poetry between each chapter also helps to set the tone and mood for the whole book. As this is the fifth and final story in the series, I really recommend reading all the books so you have all the information you need to properly understand/follow and enjoy this book, at the very least you really need to have read book four, first. Surviving Grace is about family, friendship, trauma, betrayal, love, loss, trust, self-realization/self-discovery, and overcoming. There is plenty of drama, emotion, and romance.
I had been waiting for this book to release, so I had quite a lot of expectation- but Ms. Wine didn’t let me down, finishing off the series with a very captivating read.
This is ultimately Grace’s story, and we follow along as she slowly pieces herself back together and tries to move on with her life after the trauma she experienced. Things are not easy, especially with horrible memories haunting her nights and tormenting her days. Things are not easy for her, with lots of obstacles to deal with. So, what happens when the past catches up with her? Read this great story/series to find out.
Ms. Wine has created a complex story, full of interconnected details. The characters are well developed- and the recurring characters from the series make appearances again in this book too.
I was a little sad to finish the series, but Ms. Wine certainly left the best till last, in my eyes!

Thank you, Ms. Wine!

Surviving Grace by Virginia Wine is book five of the Surviving Series. This book is a novella and is written in a poetic format. This book should be read by readers 18+ due to the content and language.

Grace is a beautiful, strong woman that experienced a lot of pain and devastation. There is quite a bit of suspense as you wait to see how Grace’s future will play out. I couldn’t put the book down. There is so much emotion in this book you can’t help but feel a sliver of what Grace must have been feeling. She is such a great character. She is so strong and didn’t let herself get beat down even though at times she didn’t think highly of herself.

This was a great book. It was interesting to read it in poetic format. I wasn’t sure I was going to like it when I first started it but once I got use to it, it was really good. I definitely recommend this whole series!

Surviving Grace: Book Five (Surviving Series) by Virginia Wine is a contemporary romantic suspense. This story was creative and a fabulous addition to the Surviving Series. The way the characters from the previous stories were brought together in this book, along with the emotional stance this story takes makes it riveting! Surviving Grace: Book Five ( Surviving Series)Surviving Grace: Book Five by Virginia Wine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Surviving Grace is the 5th and final installment in the Surviving series by Virginia Wine. This final installment is not a full length novel whereas the first 4 are. Also, whereas the first 4 books can be read as a stand-alone, you need to read the 4th book, Hard As Steel before reading this novella. As this is such a fantastic series, I would recommend reading all 5 books, preferably in order as characters reoccur in subsequent books. If you read them out of order there would be spoilers.
We are first introduced to Grace in Hard As Steel (Steel and Nichole’s story), where she has been the victim of a sadistic abuser. Through therapy and her love of writing, Grace is slowly coming to terms with the years of abuse that she suffered. She is however still very mentally fragile.
We are also introduced to Will in Hard as Steel. He is the vain, cocky, player, immature brother of Nichole. He is exactly the type of man who Grace should avoid, but as circumstances mean that she is living with Nichole and Will, she can hardly avoid him. However, as they spend more and more time together, Grace starts to see a different side of Will that no one has seen before. Deep down, he is a very caring, gentle man who will do anything to help Grace overcome the demons from her past.
I also loved that we got to see a little insight into each of the couples from the previous books. What I didn’t like is that this series has come to an end. This series has had me gripped from the very beginning right through to the end. It is certainly a series that I will revisit and read again.

I was completely captivated by Grace’s story and after everything she has been through I was totally rooting for her.
Grace and Will absolutely melted my heart and put it back together after everything that happened with Ethan! There really were some great twists in the story that I definitely didn’t see coming but made the story all the more exciting to read.
If you have read any of the books in this series then I don’t think you will be disappointed with Surviving Grace – it was an emotional read that had me on one massive rollercoaster but in my opinion I think this is my favourite from the series!

Surviving Grace is an amazing story that takes tragedy and learning from it. Virginia Wine has become an author that I enjoy reading. Ms. Wine really takes her characters to a new level. She involves her past characters that were in earlier books and gives us a snapshot of what has been going on in their lives with in the later stories. This story is about Grace. This story tugs at my heart strings. The emotions run high. I suggest a box of Kleenex and plan out some time so you can finish the story in one sitting. Grace has a brutal past that she is learning about. She understands that she needs to deal with the past before she can move forward. Will Grace allow time to heal her soul or will she be overcome by the darkness she is learning about?

A nice short story about starting over. Grace has been through so much and it still haunts her. She has her life line but he is currently unavailable. I hate when people make decisions for you. The detail this author uses is amazing. Grace has a dark past that leaves her feeling broken at times but she’s pretty strong and doesn’t let that get her down. Find out what is in store for her future. What a great ending to this series. I can’t recommend not only this entire series, but this author, enough. She’s quickly climbed to the top of my list. Surviving Grace is another incredible addition to this already captivating and epic series. But sadly, it’s the last in The Surviving Series, and May I say the best. This book has to be read as part of the series and not as a stand-alone, it flows brilliantly from the start and ties up all the characters from the previous books in this series, but to make it even better we get Grace’s story. This is a emotional read from the beginning and is expressed more with the poetry that’s in it. This is Grace’s story about finding yourself, learning to trust and to try and live her life again and get away from her past.

This book is brilliantly written, it has depth, it flows from chapter to chapter and brings us amazing characters and storyline.
I’m so glad that I got to experience this series, with wonderful characters and amazing storylines.

“And most of all, you’ve taught me happiness can only be found within yourself, and to look to others to enhance the happiness you already have.”

This quote is from Surviving Grace by Virginia Wine. It is true for any one, in any situation.

Surviving Grace is the conclusion to Grace’s story which started in Hard as Steel. This series has many characters that over-lap into each book, so I suggest starting with book one in the Surviving Series.

I enjoyed reading this story. Virginia Wine is a good storyteller. Telling Grace’s story couldn’t have been easy, but Wine did it. Wine shows how being happy is in our control and others around us are simply there to help us grow.

As she makes peace with her past and looks to a possible future with Will, her parents have the potential to put it in jeopardy. I felt the drama with her parents was very rushed and could have played a bigger part in the story. All the characters from the other books come together towards the end of the book, which is nice to see where everyone ended up. Great way to end the series.
