Just Exes by Charity Ferrell was an emotional second chance enemies-to-lovers book. I had to finish this book before going to bed (1 am) because you have two different events going on at the same time. How could anyone put a book down with all that happening? So yes, I went to sleep with red puffy eyes because I cried like a baby. Charity’s will draw you in after the first chapter and not let go till the very end.
Gage and Lauren’s relationship gave me everything that I love – bantering almost every time they saw each other, the heartbreaking past flashbacks and of course the HOT hate sex; which turned into reunion sex. Plus, I loved seeing Lauren’s brother again and getting updated on that was going on.
P.S. – Kyle needs his own book; I need more Kyle!!

The story Must Love Fashion (Darling Cove Book 1) by Deborah Garland is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. It is a book that takes you into the world of fashion and romance. I loved reading about the characters of Gwen Mallory and Andrew Morgan. Gwen is a woman who takes her new job seriously. She is intelligent and independent. She is also finding herself attracted to Andrew, the man she now works with. She finds herself affected by him when they are in the same room together. Andrew is not only trying to adjust to working with Gwen he also can’t seem to get her out of his mind. Working very close with her doesn’t help. Although he has been through heartbreak in the past he finds that she is someone that he wants to get to know better. When these two are together you can feel a connection forming between them. Will they find that their attraction to each other is leading them into something more? The pull towards each other is strong. The passion and desire between them is undeniable. Sometimes doubts, fear, and anxiety have a way of taking over. Will they be able to find a way to balance the demanding world of fashion with the relationship that is growing between them? What does the future hold for Gwen and Andrew? Will they get an HEA? Read this book to find out. Gwen and Andrew are both characters that I grew to love with each chapter that I read. It is a story that warmed my heart and had me turning pages to find out what happens next. The book does have some steamy scenes included that make the temperature in the room rise. There are also other characters that are introduced that I enjoyed reading about both their part in the story as well as their interactions with Andrew and Gwen. This is the first story in a series and a book that I would highly recommend reading.

It is the second story in a series and l loved reading it just as much as the first one. It draws you in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Chase Beauchamp and Rain Connolly. Chase is a man/wolf who loves his pack and his family. He plays an important role in the pack and is always there to help his Alpha. Chase also doesn’t care for witches, doesn’t trust them. How is it then that when he meets Rain he is so affected by her? Why does he feel like he can trust her? Rain is a woman who is beautiful, strong, independent, and a witch without magic. She is feisty, compassionate, and kind. She wants to break the curse that holds her powers, that makes her an outcast. That chance seems to have appeared when she meets Chase. She is also finding herself with an attraction to him. He makes her feel alive. That these two share a connection is undeniable. When they are in a room together the sparks and energy are evident. The feelings/emotions that these two have for each other is strong. Will they be able to overcome the past and find happiness together? Will Rain finally be able to regain her magic? What does their future hold? Will they get an HEA? Read this story to find out. You can feel the passion that Chase and Rain feel for each other. There are some steamy scenes included in this story that have the temperature in the room rising. I found myself growing to love the characters of Chase and Rain with each chapter that I read. I found myself cheering them along and wanting them to find happiness together. Chase is protective of Rain and she of him. I also enjoyed reading about the other characters in the story. Some of them I recognized as they had been brought forward from the first book. This is a story that is amazing and one I would highly recommend reading.

The story Joker’s Fool (Satan’s Devils MC) by Manda Mellett is a book that truly loved reading. It is a story that draws you in from the very beginning and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had finished the final page. The story is the next in the series regarding the Satan’s Devils and is one that not only at times had me turning pages to find out what happens next, it also took me on a journey into the lives of the two main characters. They are both a part of Satan’s Devils. Being part of an MC is important to both of them and not something that is just given up. The club is a home and those there are brothers who would each give their lives for each other if they had to. I have always loved that those in an MC are like family. Trust and loyalty is important. One of the main characters in this story has a secret that he guards well. In this story, you can feel the doubts, fears, and anguish that this character goes through. I found myself loving to read about both him and Lady’s Man with each chapter that I read. They become characters that I could cheer for. While both the main characters are tough men they also have another side to them. This book also describes life in the MC and the lives of the other members and the ones that they love. This story includes both heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. My emotions were constantly going up and down like a rollercoaster. This is a wonderfully written book that I would highly recommend reading.

Moments that Define Us by Amy McKinley is the prequel to the Gray Ghost series. This novella is action-packed, emotional, unexpected and dramatic. It was a novella that I read in one sitting, not only due to the length but also because I was captivated from the start. It was such an entertaining novella and it really is the perfect prequel to the series. Even though I had previously read the first two books I was still very intrigued by this story.
I would definitely recommend this series to others and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Beneath a Blue Moon by Carrie Pulkinen is a must-read paranormal book! It’s the second book in the Crescent City Wolf Pack series and is my favourite book by this author. It’s intense, steamy, dramatic, action-packed and highly entertaining. From the first chapter I was able to jump right in, I was so captivated by both Chase and Rain that I read their story in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. And now that I’ve finished it I find myself wanting to read it all over again.
I would suggest reading book 1 first, as this way most of the character introductions will have already be done. Plus, the first book, Werewolves Only, is well worth a read. I can’t wait to continue this series with book 3 once released.
I would recommend this book and series to anyone looking for their next paranormal read!

Marks of the Mazza is the first book in the Mazza Series, and incredible debut by Blake Blessing. It is a brilliant fantasy with a paranormal/reverse harem/polyamorous romance. There is also lots of action, adventure, danger, drama, suspense, and mystery. Here’s where I will come clean and admit that I usually avoid harem/reverse harem books as they aren’t really ‘my-cup-of-tea. But having said that, this book is certainly an exception to that rule…. the story has really won me over. It was the beautiful cover and the promise of an epic story that really convinced me to read the book. What I found when I opened the book is an exceptionally well written story that had me engrossed within minutes- so to then find that it’s also the author’s debut novel, just blew me away. The characters are not just fully realised individuals with their own personalities, but they are also incredibly interesting and endearing as well. I was very quickly and easily invested in them and the outcome of their story. There was a lot going on in the book, but Ms. Blessing choreographed everything into a smooth and captivating read. Isolde Bardot’s world as she knows it turns upside down from the moment she stumbles into the wrong ’Uber’. She discovers a whole world she never knew existed and that she has an incredible part to play in that ‘world’. The responsibility is somewhat daunting, as is the thought that she now has a Lusty Legion of men to bond with. It’s a confusing and dangerous time for her. For one, it doesn’t feel ‘normal’ to take more than one partner long-term. Then finding out magic is real and there are different realms too, has boggled her mind. But, there are plots afoot that have targeted Issy and her safety in these schemes isn’t guaranteed. So, she’s left questioning it all and feeling the weight of responsibility thrust upon her. I LOVED this book- from the gorgeous cover to the wonderfully exciting story and the fantastic characters- all showcasing the dynamic writing and incredible imagination of Ms. Blessing. OMG book two can’t come quick enough for my liking! I need it NOW!! I absolutely can’t wait! Highly Recommended Reading!!!

Joker’s Fool (Satan’s Devils MC) By Manda Mellett. This story blew me away completely. I wasn’t sure what to expect but what I got was absolutely incredible. An emotional roller coaster for sure but one that you’ll want to ride again and again. This story is about finding the way to loving yourself and accepting the love another can give. The characters oh the characters, seriously they stole my heart and soul within their pages! The author does an incredible job of writing a story with so much emotions you truly feel them soul deep as you read about Lady and Joker’s journey. From page one I was completely sunk into this story of uniqueness. M/M aren’t normally my first pick, I’ve read a few but this one was completely different and I truly wish I could read it again for the first time! Please whatever you do, don’t let the M/M scare you off because this is a wonderful story. I’ve read others in this series and this one just added to its already amazing stories. This will definitely be on my read again list and it’s one of my top favorites of the year. Five stars all the way!
Unbreak This Heart by Betty Shreffler. I have read numerous books by this author and I can honestly say that I have loved them all!!! This book was absolutely no different. Alex had something terrible happen to her and because of that, her fiancé left her. This is the second book in the Crescent City Wolf Pack but can be read as a stand-alone with no problem. I am happy to say that I really did like this one. A lot. It was an even better story than book one and I felt like I connected with it more. The main characters in this book are Chase and Rain. Chase is a were who hates witch’s and Rain is a witch who is cursed. Chase is charged with the task of handling the wedding cake for his Alphas wedding and who knew a task like that would end up with him finding his mate. They get off to such a bumpy start and I honestly wanted to SMACK them both. But I loved the chemistry between the two even when they wanted to deny it. I would recommend this book to a friend! Lauren is a very caring person and will drop anything to help when in need. Gage is heartbroken and deep down still loves Lauren and will go to any lengths to protect her. Lauren and Gage were once a couple and things did not end well between them. But although others may think they hate each other, they still have chemistry and an attraction for each other. Will Lauren and Gage be able to work out their indifferences and fall in love for the second time? This book is a must read! This story was well written and flowed seamlessly. It was hard to put this book down. The characters are well developed and supporting characters in the story helped the storyline between the two main character. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more from Charity Ferrell.
Joker’s Fool, A Satan’s Devils MC Book 8, by Manda Mellett. I was so excited to read this book!!! This is Joker and Lady’s story. There were so many times while reading this book that my heart broke for Joker and the pain that he went through growing up. Thinking that he would never be accepted as he was, he tried to fake it. When Lady comes on as a prospect, he isn’t sure how much longer he can pretend. Worried that his MC brothers will never accept him, he contemplates leaving but he knows the MC is the only family he has. Sadly, it was beaten into him that he is dirty and disgusting. Lady on the other hand, had an entirely different upbringing. His mother welcomed him with open arms and loved him for who he was. Can Lady make Joker see just how good they can be together or will they both lose everything that they hold near and dear to them? I absolutely loved this book and this series!!!! I can not wait for more!

This is the first I’ve read by this author. MARKS OF THE MAZZA is book 1 in a new series. This book sets up future stories generally well. The characters are well described and we know everyone’s role in the story.
If you aren’t familiar with “Reverse Harem” it is when one woman is taken care of by multiple men. It is explained that while this isn’t a poly relationship, there won’t be any jealousy because the friends already love each other and want the best for each other.
There is a bit of suspense, humor, sexy times and a decent basis for a story. My ONLY complaint is that if the protagonist is so “woke” I would think she would have some resistance to her new station in life. It was just a little something that bugged me.
I will be reading future installments of this series.

You know how some books are written purely for the enjoyment and others seem a little deeper. That is this book! There is the surface but if you look deeper there is a whole other level to this. The way this was written this could be about your brother, cousin or best friend. That makes it more relatable to the reader. You get a look Inside the life of a boy who is abrasive, cranky and prefers to be alone. He is protecting himself and trying to survive high school and figure out he fits in. I really empathized with boy. I was right there with him through all his good and bad times.
Even though it’s a shorts book it still packs a punch. One thing i really like about Jeff is how he thinks about things. Like basketball for example or lunch at school…..or a kiss. This is a story I won’t forget. In fact I will reread it when I need to lighten up a little.

As her life is about to change for the better, everything comes crashing down. Has she made another mistake in her choices?
R. G. Miller has written another tense and suspenseful story. This is a real page turner. He is direct and to the point, in his telling of this story. He describes his characters clear enough you can picture them in your minds eye. At one point I smelt something burning, and it scared me half to death. No worries though, I had just burnt dinner. I got that caught up in reading. No Spoilers here! I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

Nikolai was a great 5 star read. All I can say is wow, the way the scenes are written my heart was racing right along with Justine’s especially when Nikolai tried to intimidate her with words and looks. The chemistry these two have is off the charts hot.
Justine is a first year lawyer, she is a strong, sassy character with some secrets of her own. She has a brother who saved her life, so now she’s trying to save his. When Nikolai ends up on house arrest at Justine’s for 72 hours, she tries her best to avoid him but he is making it very difficult. What will happen if he finds out her secret?
Nikolai is an extremely hot mafia Prince. At first I wasn’t sure I liked him but it didn’t take me long to fall hard. He is arrogant, controlling, dangerous, intimidating, and very smart. He knows what he wants and it’s Justine.

I’ve already read the first 2 books in this series and can’t even describe how much I loved them. I normally don’t like to go back and read prequels that come after stories I’ve already read but in this case this came at the perfect time. I sincerely have wondered how it all began and now I know, and it gave me all I needed and wanted to hope that this series goes on and on for quite some time. This was awesome and heartbreaking and it makes me seriously wonder if it didn’t end with an unfinished story that might still come in the future with a certain character seeking revenge. I guess we will see, and I WILL see because I will be one of the first in line to one click whenever another of this series is released. I also want to go seek out what else this author might have available because she has quickly become an absolute favorite of mine.

I’ve already read the other books in this series .I enjoyed this book as much as the other books.and I had a hard time putting it down once I started reading it. At times I felt like I was right along with these characters . Unbreak this heart by Betty Shreffler a five-star read that will break you. This isn’t my first read by this author, but it is my favourite, this author has a way with dealing with powerful and uncomfortable circumstances and making them compelling reading. Be warned you will need a box of tissues with this read, but they are worth it. The characters in this story are powerful and once you start to hear their voices as you read you won’t be able to put it down. Alex’s story is one that will stay with you, the way she fights her demons will give you courage and I think we all need a little Jane in all of our lives.

This is a prequel to Gray ghost series and I have read the first two books and then gone back to read this one as I enjoyed the series and it was nice going back and finding out where it all started, seeing Jack and understanding him better was a great and compelling read. Its super short but also super thrilling and a great compliment to a great series.

This is a first book for me by this author, and I really enjoyed it. I only had one small want from this book after I finished, and that was I wanted to hear some of Braeden’s side of things. Otherwise this was a well done story, that kept me flipping pages until the end. Jeff is a young man in high school who has one real friend and he’d like to keep it that way. He’s a smart student and a very particular way of how he wants things to go. I loved the way we meet Braeden, and how Jeff starts to realize things he didn’t before but also come to terms at least internally of others. And if everyone in his situation, had parents like his, what a godsend that would be. Great quick read of a young man finding his path in life.

Conviction is the second installment in the Ash Park Novels from Meghan O’Flynn. She has quickly become my favorite thriller writer and one-click go to author for this genera. I have never been disappointed with a novel of hers and once again she has managed to top the bar she set with her last. Conviction took me on a riveting, perplexing, and hair-raising journey that I never wanted to end. I absolutely adore Meghan’s knack for making it nearly impossible to figure out the twist before it happens. I am known for being the one that figures out the movie twenty minutes in, and same for most books like this, but never with Meghan’s. I am 80% of the time wrong, and I LOVE it!
Like I said before, this is the second installment in her Ash Park novels. They could be read as standalones, but I would highly recommend that you read them in order. There are a lot of reoccurring characters that make up the team that do the investigations and so forth. I find it would be a travesty to really divulge much of anything else about the plot because I just can’t ruin this book for you. Curl up with your favorite blanket in a comfy spot. A powerful novel that follows a band of characters as they try to navigate their way out of the darkness that almost swallowed them up. As a fantasy novel, this story had to be unique in some way, especially in dealing with fairies, and the way the story functions is pretty unique. There is a coldness that emanates from the story as it talks about the Unseelie court, brutality that makes the story jump off the pages and infect the reader with fear and anger. It’s good when a story makes the reader feel so strongly for the characters and the story, not to mention the world that is being built here.
Sparkman did an incredible job building this world and recreating this fantasy and these fairy creatures for the reader. The essence that surrounds them, the plot and definition of the characters is unique and truly stands out. Not to mention the message the story holds the message of perseverance.
The base of the story is all about hope; it’s about having hope and finding the light even in the darkest of times. It means that even when someone loses themselves to darkness the way Zeph lost himself to the darkness that they can find the light and find a way to save themselves from the overwhelming darkness. That message is so incredibly powerful. Zeph found his way out, but this story is all about him and his newfound friends trying to pick up the pieces, to repair themselves and their relationships with one another, to repair everything damaged by the dark with love and hope. And it is an incredible journey to follow because it allows the characters to move about the story with dimension, to jump off the pages and litter the reader with their emotions and thoughts, making the reading experience even more compelling. These characters grow together; they form this bond that allows them to face the darkness head-on once more, adding tension and action to the novel.
There is another thing that makes this story so good, and it’s Sparkman’s use of language. There are some scenes that are triggering, and thankfully Sparkman does give the reader notice before even beginning to read the story, but what makes those scenes as powerful as they are triggering is her limited use of language. These are scenes that have every opportunity to be explicit but are not, and it’s all due to Sparkman’s impeccable use of language. She uses the minimalist of words to get the scene around, playing on the slightest of details to make the scene pop. And pop they do. The reader isn’t dulled by the excessive use of language, there is enough provided to lure the reader in, keep them grounded, and focus on what is happening in the story rather than be distracted by the detail and words. These scenes carry so much power and that’s how they should be. Admittedly they are uncomfortable to read, but they should be, but that only serves to give them more weight, lending to the creation of a powerful novel.

This is my second book I’ve read from this author and I loved it. It really teaches you to be true to yourself as well as those around you. Jeff is pretty much your social hermit. He was bullied so much that he’s kind of folded into himself. Braeden swoops in to save Jeff one day and tries to befriend him. during all the interactions, Jeff starts to fall for the hotshot of the school.
I loved this coming of age story about taking chances and being true to one’s heart. There might be battle wounds but the right person can heal them. Not everyone has the perfect life. Behind closed doors they can being living in their own hell.
This book is definitely a MUST on anyone’s list. The story is beautifully written and it will constantly tug at your heart strings!

Addicted to Love is book 2 in the Bayou Devils MC series by A.M.Myers and its the story about Chance and Carly, whom we both meet in book 1. Chance is a biker affiliated with a club that helps to rescue women from dangerous domestic situations and Carly is a friend of a woman in a dangerous situation. Chance decides immediately that Carly is different from other women and wants to get to know her. Carly is a survivor of an attack and rape in her teenage years, so is weary of men and doesn’t appear to be easily swayed by Chance’s advances, until she needs his help to rescue her sister. This story has equal parts mystery, romance, action and humor! 5 stars from me and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!

Burning Britely by Deidre Huesmann is a great YA/coming of age story, full of self-discovery, angst, drama, friendship, expectations, emotions, and self-acceptance. I am familiar with Ms. Huesmann’s other work, and really liked the Modern Greek Tale series, and The Alpha’s Pride- but this book is something different – and again it just proves that Ms. Huesmann can work with any genre/subject and create an engrossing story. The book is a short story and is a very quick and easy read. It has a great pace and a smooth flow. The story and characters were interesting and quite relatable. I loved the strong character development and growth that occurred over the course of the story. For such a short story, the characters were fully realised, and the story had a depth that’s not so easy to achieve in a short amount of space- but Ms. Huesmann certainly succeeded where many have failed. I am not going to give away spoilers, or rehash the premise of the story- as the blurb does a better job than I ever could. But, I do recommend reading this book, especially to those who love a great YA novel that has all the angst and inner turmoil that come with being a teenager- exploring the characters ‘coming of age’.

Beneath A Blue Moon is the spellbinding second instalment in the Crescent City Wolf Pack series by Carrie Pulkinen. It could be read as a standalone, but seriously, do yourself a real favour and read book one! You really won’t regret it! I am so in LOVE with this series- I adore everything about it- the brilliant writing, the wonderfully captivating storylines, and the fantastic characters (yes, even the ‘badies’- because the story wouldn’t be the same without them). I didn’t expect going into the first book that I would love it as much as I did, so going into this one I did have pretty high expectations and I was somewhat sceptical as to whether Ms. Pulkinen could deliver another book that would enthrall me as much as the first- but what I found between the covers of Beneath A Blue Moon is so much better than anything I could have imagined. I truly love both books so much, but I have to say that this one has etched itself into my heart just a little deeper than the first! It is a great paranormal romance- with shifters/werewolves, witches, the supernatural, mystery, suspense, danger, action, murder, drama, secrets, shocking discoveries, and emotion. As with the first book, the story unfolds against the vibrant and mystical backdrop of New Orleans. Rain Connelly is fairly new to town, opening a bakery called Spellbound Sweets. She’s a witch who had her powers bound and has spent the past seven years looking for a way to get them back. Owning a bakery has always been one of her dreams and she hopes that she can make it a successful venture. But things aren’t going as well as she hoped, having invested all her funds into getting the bakery up and running, she really needs it to start bringing in customers and making money- or she will be forced to close the doors on her dream. When the Alpha werewolf and his fiancée are looking for a bakery to make their wedding cake, Rain wants to win them over and secure the job, as it would be a much-needed boost for her fledgling business. But when the groom arrives with his seriously sexy and completely aggravating second in command, instead of his bride- things don’t go as smoothly as she’d like. In fact, her lack of filter may have just cost her the job. Chase Beauchamp is the second in command of the Crescent City Pack (we got to meet him in Book #1) and a good friend of Luke, the Alpha. He’s incredibly loyal to the pack and his family. They mean the world to him and he’d do anything for them. But his past experiences have left him with an aversion to witches- yeah, he pretty much can’t stand them. So, when he’s obliged to join Luke on a cake tasting session, he’s really not impressed to discover the bakery belongs to a witch. When he meets Rain for the first time, he’s taken aback by how much he is drawn to her. But witches can’t be trusted- can they? Plus, he feels that there is something she’s hiding- and he makes it his mission to discover what it is. As strange things begin to happen, he can’t help feeling protective of her and being anywhere near her causes their chemistry to sizzle. When bodies begin to pile up and the past comes looking for revenge- will these two survive long enough to find out what fate has in store for them. What happens when Chase discovers her secret? Will he understand, or will his mistrust and hatred of witches cloud his reasoning? Will she take the chance to break the curse that binds her magic, or will she sacrifice everything to save the ones she loves? As with the first book, this story is quite gripping and suspenseful- with a bit of a ‘mystery’ to try to unravel. There are also some funny moments- witty quips, banter and antics that made me smile/laugh. The chemistry between Rain and Chase was palpable, and there were some very steamy moments to be had between these two! Ms. Pulkinen built the tension and the intrigue superbly. I was hanging on her every word and I definitely had my heart in my mouth for the last few chapters- HOLY MOLEY!!! Book #3 can’t come quickly enough for my liking!!!! I can’t wait to read Alexis and Bryce’s story… I think it’s going to be epic!!!

Phoenix Rising: A Fortis Security Novel Book 7 Maddie Wade is yet another great addition to this great series. I have been waiting for Daniel’s story and I must say I was not disappointed. Good work Maddie! I have fallen in love with each and every character in this series whether it is the alpha males who will stop at nothing to protect those they love and consider family, or the wonderful women who are able to tame them. Maddie is an accomplished writer that writes stories that are engaging and compelling and leave you wanting more. Her characters make you fall in love with them and make you feel like you are part of their lives and their families. This story is full of action that will have you on the edge of your seat and oh so sexy scenes that will see you needing cigarette. I will be sad when this series comes to an end but in the meantime I look forward to Will’s story next.

I had several preconceptions of what type of novel this was going to be when I dove right in. Surely, it would have some dark and luminous magic, adventure, and mystery, otherworldly creatures, and sci-fi a plenty. I was so wrong. Now, there was a lot of the above, but this book exceeded my expectations and was so much more than a tale of fantasy and lore. It was a touching story of love and loss, the impact that the desire for revenge can cause a person, endless life lessons woven into a fast paced story line that will keep you gripped from beginning to end. My only critique would be one of myself for not reading the first book, The Moon Shines Red, before this one. It was a tad confusing in minor areas, but I still immensely enjoyed the book, and now have another to go back and devour. I would recommend that you read about Pamela Sparkman’s character breakdowns at the end. She shines some light on who these characters where to her, how they grew within her mind and helped her create this amazing novel full of their story.
Zeph has not had the ideal life, in fact it has been quite terrifying at times. When he was just a child he was kidnapped! After he finally was able to return home, he was a completely different person. Cold inside and out. He believes that he doesn’t deserve love, friends, or anyone really around him. His chrysalis of darkness envelopes him helping create that barrier.
‘He had only ever brought pain to those he cared about. He didn’t deserve to be here. He would end this now.’
Arwyn has always been drawn to Zeph. She can sense his pain and understands it, but she wants to heal him before what little light that is left in him fades out to black forever. They must work through the demons plaguing Zeph together.
“I am nowhere…I exist. But I do not live. I am nowhere.”
The plots and the lessons hidden within are penned so smoothly and with such beauty that you don’t even realize the world passing around you as you read. You are transported to the world of Zeph and walk along beside him as his chrysalis slowly begins to crack with the patience, loyalty, and undivided love and attention of family and friends. Especially, as he discovers more and more about his past and demons. I love this next quote, and the implication it portrays. It makes me think of the thing I tell my mini every day on the way to school, a tradition passed amongst the women in the family. “Remember, just find one little thing in today that made you happy for one second. Anything, a butterfly flew by you, you didn’t fail that test… etc.” It is the tiniest of things that can make our day. Then pay that forward. Every afternoon we discuss. Even in the darkness, or the darkest of days, there is some happiness/ beauty to be found. It only takes a moment to look for it, and pass it on. I would like to see more of these characters. I know, it’s the conclusion, but I really loved Zeph and Arwyn. I will be sad when I finish book one. Thank you for the gorgeous gem of a novel Pamela Sparkman.

I am really loving the Bayou Devils MC series from AM Myers. Book one, Hopelessly Devoted, had me hooked, and I was super excited to dive right on into this one. I did read them in order however, they are written so that you can read the as either standalones or in whichever order you would like. I am a big person for recommending series be read in order from beginning to end. A lot of times you will get updates on favorite characters and meet or get backstory on the future characters of future novels. This seems to be a series that will do that! Plus… they rock so why not???
In Addicted to Love we get the story of Carly Mills. I wasn’t so sure what I thought of her at first. Admittedly she had a rough go with life for quite a bit and I had sympathy for her. She knows that people, men especially can be cruel. This makes her avoid relationships beyond the ‘hit it and quit it’ lifestyle like the plague. That is all put into question when she meets bad boy Chance. She knows better. Her head tells her no, but her heart is doing something totally new, and she finds herself being pulled toward him. Can she really actually like this man?
Chance has been looking for something in his life. Don’t get him wrong he has his MC family now, and has worked through most of his difficult childhood trauma. But something is just missing. The second he lays his eyes on the beautiful Carly Mills he knows she is the missing piece he has been searching for. But she doesn’t seem to want a thing to do with him.
Then danger knocks on Carly’s door sending her rushing to the only person she can think of to help her, Chance of course. Will Chance be able to protect her? Can he also win her heart in the process and break down her barriers? Will Carly stick to her guns and be able to avoid falling in love with Chance?
I adored this story between these two. Several twists and turns that I didn’t see coming had me reading well into the night to finish the novel well past my bedtime and in one sitting. I will be anxious to start book #3, Every Breath You Take.
