Lovelock by Tricia Copeland was a dystopian and sci fi novel with tons of excitement and action. This was a super fast read that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time waiting to see what happened. The author kept me guessing the whole way and I didn’t know what was going to happen until the end. I could of easily read this in one setting but decided to spread it out. I really enjoyed it and I enjoyed the characters and the authors writing style. I would definitely read others by this author. Dystopian books are some of my favorites. I really liked all the scientific aspects added in as well. Overall I enjoyed this book and would rate it 4 stars!

What a brilliant read! Fast paced, full of action –I could not put it down. This is also my first read by this author and what an introduction it was! I can’t wait to go and read the rest of the books in this series! The characters in the story were outstanding – I loved everything about them. Charli and Blake were great to read about. Charli was sassy and Blake is one of those characters you love to hate! But as much as loved them Poppa John was just it for me! I adored him!! By far one of my favourite characters! I am really looking forward to reading more from this author in the future!
Rescued by the Scot is the third book in the Romancing the Spies series by Laura A. Barnes. This has been an interesting and fun series to read. Although the stories contain quite a bit of drama and violence- and I was held in suspense quite a bit- there is also a charming quality to it as well. This story is an intriguing and action-packed historical romance that has kidnapping, hidden agendas, mystery, suspense, adventure, drama, betrayal, espionage, danger, action, seduction, chemistry, romance, and passion. This is the third book in the series, and could be read as a standalone, but having said that, this book may focus on a different couple than the first and second books, but there is a continuing storyline that bridges all the books, so I really recommend reading all the books to help build a better understanding of characters, backstory, and motivations. Zane Maxwell is a recurring character in the series, whom I was hoping we would get to see much more of. Well, we certainly get to do that in this story. Skye is a fantastic character and the chemistry between her and Zane was intense. They really were so great together. But, Ms. Barnes doesn’t make thing easy for them- they have to work for their happiness. We also get to catch up with the characters from the previous books, which I appreciated. I am hoping that this isn’t the end of the Romancing the Spies series- hopefully there is more to come. A wonderful addition to the series and my favourite of the three!

The Last keeper of the light by Nikki Broadwell a four-star read that will show you the light. This is a dystopian fantasy of the highest order, what a great example of the genre. This was a great story and showed just how far some people have to go to survive. This has some great elements to the story, there is drama and passion and cruelty and loneliness that will leave you breathless. Scandal was great and really showed you what true fight can bring. Overall a good story that you will enjoy.

This was an amazing book! 100% Approved! Conviction is the second book in the Ash Park series written by Meghan O’Flynn. This book follows Shannon Miller who is the Assistant District Attorney for Ash Park and Curt Morrison, who is the detective in the Ash Park Police Department. They started out as best friends, which ultimately lead to the HEA they found themselves in the end. However, this book focuses on Shannon and her family. There is a lot of depth to Shannon that we didn’t know about in the first book. It seems she’s not so hardnosed after all. Curt was always interested in Shannon but let her do her thing until she was ready for him. In the interim there is a killer out there targeting Shannon. You wouldn’t believe who it ends up being! This book is so well written! A complete emotional rollercoaster to which you need lots and lots of tissues. There are so many twists and turns that you don’t see anything coming. I had to remind myself throughout this book that there is a romantic underlining. It had all the suspense of a great murder mystery! I loved every minute of it! Now, there is only one sex scene and it was amazingly perfect! It didn’t need another scene. I also loved that we learned more and more about Curt’s partner Detective Petrosky. His character is really coming through and you really are starting to understand him more. I’m so glad that I started this series and I cannot wait to finish reading all the other books!

Anne’s whole vampire family was murdered by witches when she was just a child. Luckily, she saved by a wonderful woman and they flee to start anew. There they live a quiet life among the humans. As a young adult, her life is again turned upside down. She knows that in order for the supernatural beings to survive, they need to stop fighting one another. So she starts out on a journey to reach every clan and ask for peace. This takes her on a journey spanning hundreds of years and unbelievable distances. Along the way, she makes many allies, along with life-long friends. She makes enemies too. But the things she learns is worth it. Can she bring peace?
This book is incredible. It cover an incredible amount of time and hits on many important events that happened. Twisting them a bit to include both witches and vampires is ingenious. Not to mention how well the author has done it. She weaves a story that draws you in and makes you believe. I still can’t believe how well it was done. And Anne — wow. She is such a perfect lead character. She has flaws, like any good character, but she learns from them. She lives with her heart, and the growth she goes through really makes you feel for her. She has had such tragedies in her life, but she has never given up.
This book incredible in so many ways and I recommend this to all lovers of books.

A lovely woman with the greenest eyes and wonderful Scottish accent. She is an enemy, but he still can’t stop fantasizing about her.
Skye is on a mission to trade arms with a man she knows to be evil when she sees a prisoner aboard his ship. He can help her succeed in her mission, so she gets him released. She just needs to use him until she can find her brother. But she is not the woman Zane thinks she is. In fact she is so much more. She is only supposed to hold onto him until she gets what she was promised. But each day with him makes her want him more and more. Has Zane go ally met his match in Skye?
If you have read the rest of the series, I know you wanted to read more about Zane. He is such a complicated character. You know he is driven by his heart, even if it doesn’t seem like it. You want to know if he can finally meet a woman while will make him want to settle down. This book has it all. You learn more about him and meet another wonderful character in Skye. She is something else, but you can’t help but love her. The adventure and action is also in this book too. Many things happen, and you will be on the edge of your seat trying to find out just what happens next.
A historical romance with lots of action and adventure, I recommend this book and series.

Georgia on My Mind is the second book in the Southern Promises series by K.G. Fletcher and I think I liked it a bit more than the first. There was just something about Gia and Hart that drew me in from the very start.
Hart was an immature playboy who to me acted like the world owed him. Thankfully he gets taught a very important lesson and finally decides to grow up and be the man his parents raised him to be.
Gia’s back story just made me sad. She has been through so much and she was busting her tail to hold on to the happy part of her childhood.
This was a great story and now I’m sitting here waiting for the next book in the series to release. Cannot wait to see what happens!

Moments That Define Us by Amy McKinley is a heart-breaking prelude to her Gray Ghost series. I wish I had read it before I read the first and second books in the series … She was right, it totally set the stage for the rest of the series and explains so much that I did not fully grasp when reading the ‘full’ books. It is a short story but it is crazily intense – the writer has to pack a punch, she is setting this group of teenage boys on to the road to become paramilitary protecting the abused and the week and they start with it already when they are still young and suffering themselves … it would be so easy to closer their eyes and just think of themselves and their close band of future modern day Robin Hoods but there is something in their DNA or maybe it is simply that thanks to having each other they are tapping into the deep well of humanity that is in each and every one of us but they are different… their stories are not for the feint hearted and I have to admit, I cried and cried and when I closed the book, I wished for each of them to find their happiness when the writer gives them their own story … The focal point of the beginning is the story of Jack and Jenni and please, be forewarned, it will break your heart as their story is real and unfortunately the real life is painful … I am impatiently waiting for the stories of the rest of the guys!

I will be looking for and reading more from this author.

Conviction An Ash Park Novel By Meghan O’Flynn ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a suspenseful rollercoaster of so many emotions. There is a romance in the story, but the other side of the story is so much more.
Shannon is a district attorney, working for her ex husband. When she wrongfully convicts the wrong woman. Things just feel wrong. Her husband told her to drop it. What’s done is done. Being the woman Shannon is, she needs to make things right. But with everything, doing what’s right has its consequences. This made be the fight of her life. I never expected the outcome!
Meghan O’Flynn had me on the edge of my seat on page one. Her story is a non stop ride of epic proportions. I have never cried so hard, while reading a book. This one just kept bring the intrigue. I could not put it down. Okay I put it down at 3:30 in the morning. Then I sat and pondered over what I had just read. Cried a little more, then fist pumped at Shannons bravery and strength. Such a great story. If you like suspenseful stories this one’s for you. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
Addicted to love by A.M. Myers is the second book in the Bayou Devils Mc book series. And let me tell you, this book did not disappoint AT ALL. This book touched something that happened to Carly when she was younger and that caused her to build walls in order to protect herself. That’s when Chance enters the picture. On the outside, he’s the bad, biker boy she knows she should stay away from but yet she is keeps being drawn to him, even when she pushes him away. Chance knew the second he saw Carly, she was it for him, and he will not ever give up on something he wants. When trouble hits Carly and her sister, only the Bayou Devils that can help and this brings Carly and Chance even closer. I really loved this book and while I loved the first, this one took the cake! This book was intense, strong, and emotional! I could not stop, the twists and turns, the emotion, really shine through and again shows us WHAT AN AMAZING author A.M. Myers truly is. This five star read, truly is a MUST read!
My Fake Vegas Boyfriend by Lori Sizemore was definitely a 5 Star read for me. Layla was living in the pool house on her parents property. Her mother made her think she was crazy. Layla definitely had some issues but it was due to the unstable living environment.
Layla was caught taking pictures of a high profile person which she did as a hobby. Jace was the head of security in the hotel that was in charge of keeping things private so he must get those pictures before they made it to the news or just made it to the wrong hands. When he found Layla, he was attracted to her but, he wasn’t there for that. Jace was there for the pictures and that was all. Layla would give him the photos / negatives in exchange for something. She was blackmailing him to be her boyfriend to protect her. I do not want to give any information away but, trust me when I tell you…you want to read this book. It was a great read and kept me entertained from page 1.
Charlotte: Dr. Richards’ Littles by Pepper North 4 Stars
This book is definitely not for everyone. The story is about age-play and it revolves around Charlotte and Benton. It goes into detail about enemas and examinations so be warned.

I have never read a book like this ever. Definitely A+ for originality. I didn’t know much about age play prior to reading this book. It opened my eyes to a lot. Although this is really not my thing, the book was well written and the story was enjoyable. It is part seven in the Dr. Richards’ Littles series but can be read as a stand-alone. Each book focuses on a different couple.
Charlotte needs a place to live and desperately needs a job. By chance, she manages to get a job interview at Gordon’s. Benton is looking for his “little “ and is immediately attracted to Charlotte. He introduces her to the world of age play and the story takes off from there.
I felt bad for Charlotte on numerous occasions. She must have had a traumatic childhood to be the way she is and be in the situation she was. It’s good that she finally has someone to take care of her. Maybe a little too much? That’s for you to decide.

This was a nice romantic comedy. It made me laugh and cry a bit. I was always looking forward to what disaster would happen next. Penelope Vaughn passes away and leaves her beach house to Andrew and Sonnet. Andrew is her great nephew and Sonnet is her neighbour’s daughter. The problem is that growing up, they were rivals in school. They were always competing for top spot. Ten years have passed since graduation and they have never crossed paths. Sonnet has become an actual rocket scientist and Andrew, though he has a brilliant mind, made nothing of his life. Both were excited to hear that they inherited a house. Both had dreams they wanted to pursue with the money they would make from flipping it.
Neither realized how much work the house actually needed. They decided to put their differences aside, roll up their sleeves and work towards a common goal, flipping the house. This is where the laughter began. From eccentric neighbours to mother nature’s tantrums, from mishaps with dogs and exotic pets, this book had it all. I was laughing all the way through.
Penelope’s plan to get these two together worked perfectly. I’m happy there wasn’t an instant attraction, I want to jump your bones thing. It was a nice slow build up which I’m sure started when they were kids but neither paid attention to it. As the weeks progressed, their feelings took them by surprise. I really enjoyed the book with it’s craziness and lovable characters.

This is her fourth book the the Romance in Rehoboth series and I have to say it’s the most entertaining. This chapter revolves around the live between Chris and Brynne. Now I have to admit Sonnet and Drew were my favourite couple until I read this book. I fell in love with Chris and Brynne. There are so many layers to each of them that they are truly amazing. The story pretty much centres around Sonnet and Drew’s wedding. From dolphins to sharks, crazy parents to evil grandmothers and bites to baseball bats, there was so much craziness that I was keeled over in stitches. I loved this book. The story made me happy, emotional and had me crying tears of joy. I think the author outdid herself with this one. I highly recommend that you read this book.

Let me start off by saying that the Bayou Devils MC series is amazing! If you have not read it, you need to start with part one. This is part three and though it can be read as a stand-alone, each book is awesome and totally worth reading. Each story focuses on a different couple and this one is centred around Kodiak and Tatum. We met Kodiak briefly in the other two books and now we finally learn his story. He lost his father at the age of fifteen which forced him to grow up fast and become the man of the house. He has been the rock for many people but he has made plenty of mistakes along the way. From the moment he laid eyes on Tatum, he knew she would be the one to put him back together.
I loved Tatum, she is such a badass. She can truly kick butt and her favourite weapon is a taser. She cracked me up! She had a nomadic childhood until her mother finally settled in Baton Rouge. After the devastation of her mother’s death, she realizes she never really knew her mother at all. She has so many questions with no answers. Kodiak is the only stability that she has but something happens that shakes the entire foundation, bringing the walls crumbling down.
I enjoyed the book and I’m glad they didn’t tiptoe around each other. Both have very straightforward characters and they got right to the point. When the boys of the Bayou Devils love someone, they love them with their entire being. They don’t just give a woman their heart, they give them their entire soul.

I thought I enjoyed the first book. This one is even better! I was so happy to realize that this story was going to be about Chase Beauchamp, Luke’s right hand man. His love interest is Rain Connelly. She is everything that he could have hoped for and more. Unfortunately, she’s a witch. He’s had a grudge against witches since he was young. Nothing good ever came from his encounters with them. To top things off, he knows she’s hiding something. He plans to find out what.
Rain is cursed and was tossed out of the witch community with her powers bound. For seven years she has been trying to break the curse. She finally got an unbinding spell from an old witch and has been slowly gathering the ingredients. She all but gives up hope when she finds out what is the final ingredient until fate throws a sexy werewolf in her life. Getting the last ingredient could cost Chase his life.
The book was full of action, sexual tension and plot twists. Witches, werewolves and curses. Though the bad guy was evil and hateful, he was a cool antagonist with some twisted powers. I loved the fact that the Connelly sisters were named after their powers. This is a definite must read. I can’t wait to see what the author has coming next.

Linda Gets Her Groove Thing by J.D. Frettier is Book 2 in The Green Room Chronicles. This book is about a character named Linda White. Her husband Grey White cheated on her with his mistress and basically left Linda with NOTHING but, a few mortgages on the house meanwhile, his bought his mistress a place to live in cash with no mortgage and a boob job. Linda decides the only boyfriend for her is a battery operated boyfriend. She orders a hot pink G-spot stimulator and received a black silicone vibrating butt plug. She is absolutely livid and calls customer service to complain. She gets herself so worked up she ends up dying that evening.
When she gets to the green room she meets none other then Dee and Bonnie from book 1. They teach her the ropes and introduce her to Dr Draper for BJ and she also speaks with him about a special for Mr White. Then she meets Edwina Star and she gets Linda the payback no one ever though possible. I thought this book was well written and look forward to future books in this series.
Kingdom of the Damned: Provocation is the prelude to the Kingdom Journals by Tricia Copeland. It is a paranormal fantasy full of vampires, witches, history, drama, suspense, adventure and discovery. This book is so wonderfully descriptive and vividly detailed, bringing every scene to life before my eyes. The imagery is superb. Ms. Copeland is a fantastic author who delivers a complex and captivating story- I loved how she combined some history with fantasy and made it entirely believable. This is the prelude to the other books in the series- “ Kingdom of Embers” (Book One: Alena’s story), “Kingdom of Darkness” (Book Two: Camille’s story), “Kingdom of Honor” (Book Three: Jude’s story) and “Kingdom of War” (Book Four: Hunter’s Story- due for release in 2019) so you don’t need to have read the other books in the series first, but I can guarantee you will probably want to by the time you’ve finished this. Anne Scott was born a vampire and would have good reason to be full of hate and anger- her family were all killed by witches, forcing her to flee to a foreign country when she was only two. Living among humans wouldn’t have been easy, but she not only survived, but thrived. But then tragedy strikes again, devastating Anne once more. Heartbroken, she searches for meaning, for belonging and ends up on an epic journey of discovery, that fuels her passion for peace. Anne really is a fantastic character, but then I really wouldn’t have expected anything less from Ms. Copeland. All the characters were fully developed and interesting. The character growth over the course of the story was wonderful to see. I love the solid foundation that this book brings to the series, as a whole, and helps me to better appreciate it. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book!

This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. I enjoyed how this story pulled me in right from the start and kept me engaged until the end. The characters are well written and connectable. Jack and Jillian were attracted to each from the start and their banter back and forth made me laugh a few times. She has something to prove and she is determined to prove it. Let me just start with the gorgeous cover of this book! I adore it, and it lured me in before I even read the synopsis. I have read Tricia Copeland’s work before but I think this has by far become my favorite novel of hers yet. I think the paranormal genera is her strong suit, and I am dying to get my hands on the remainder of this series as it is released. This is the introduction or prelude so to speak of the Kingdom Journals and really sets everything up for the reader. I love when an author does this because it entices the reader to come back for more. It has us hooked on the story and invested in the characters. I know I need to find out what will come for Anne in the future.
Who is Anne you ask, well I will give you a brief hint, but for the majority you will have to one-click this beauty to find out for yourself, and you won’t be disappointed. Anne is a vampire. Her and her family are living among pagans and trying their best to blend in and hide to stay alive. Anne has one goal, to bring peace to the world. This is no small feat, in fact it seems nearly impossible. However, this woman has no plans of giving up, and one bad** chick. Where will her endeavors to restore peace take her? Oh and watch out for that killer ending!

5 Star Georgia on My Mind ( Southern Promises Book 2) By KG Fletcher is the second book in the Southern Promises series. I definitely recommend reading the first book in this series as well. I’ve loved this series so far but I think this story is my favorite. It pulled at my heart more so than Clay and Katie’s story.i had the hardest time putting this down once I started reading. I had to know what happens next. This is Gia and Hart’s story.Gia is one who doesn’t like to depend on others for help and that includes not only her personal life but her business as well. Hart finds himself in a situation that has him swearing off women. Until he meets Gia that is.The attraction these two have is incredibly hot! Can these two have a relationship with a HEA? I recommend reading this book especially if you are dying to know what happens with these two. I can’t wait for the third book in this series. As always I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Kingdom of the Damned by Tricia Copeland 5 Stars!!!!!
I am totally in love as I so love vampire books. I love to read new authors and get their takes on vampires. I was totally hooked from page one. Finding not only a new author but also a new series is an added bonus.
The chemistry between Anne and Lucas is just so electric. I could just feel the emotions coming off of the pages. I dont know if I could cope only seeing the one I love a year every hundred years but it made for an interesting twist to the book. I look forward to reading more from this author and I also would love to delve into this series more.

The Dirty Rooster by Kelly Mooney is a contemporary romance. This was my first book by Kelly Mooney but won’t be my last. I really enjoyed it. It was fun and entertaining and just what I was looking for. It was a fun easy read. I like Kelly’s writing style and I liked the characters. Overall I enjoyed it. I would rate 4 stars.

Never Fear the Reaper by Ashley Pagano was a great paranormal story. I’m a sucker for a good ghost hunting type book and I was not disappointed. This is my first book by this author but definitely won’t be my last. I adore her writing style and I adore the characters in this book. I can’t wait to read others. 4 star rating.

Hopelessly Devoted by A.M. Myers is the first book in Bayou Devils Motorcycle Club series. Overall I enjoyed this book and found it hard to walk away from. I really enjoyed the characters and I enjoyed the authors writing style. I would definitely read others by this author and would read other books in this series. I really enjoyed the online dating scenes at the beginning. I was pretty much cringing with her lol. 4 star rating.

Just Exes by Charity Ferrell was a great, steamy, emotional read about second chances. When I say emotional, I don’t think you understand just how emotional it gets.
I have never read a book by Charity before and I have to say, this is probably one of my top 10 reads of 2018. The characters are just amazing. Gage and Lauren have loved eachother their whole lives. One day instead of Lauren and Gage going away to college she literally breaks his heart when she breaks up with him without giving him a reason.
Gage Perry decides to move to Chicago and work on the police force there. Then after some more heart break he moves back home to Blue Beech and ends up being the arresting officer who is called when Lauren Barnes is accused of setting her apartment on fire.
Gage honestly HATES Lauren for what she did to him all those years ago but, she is also the only one he ever loved.
Gage and Lauren see a lot of eachother in the upcoming months. They even try to be “friends” but there are way to many secrets between them. Between his past in Chicago and her reasons for why she broke up with him. The chances of them being friends is very slim. The two of them are still in love with eachother but they have major problems.
Badge Bunny by K.L. Montgomery is a fun romance. I really enjoyed the characters and the authors writing style. This is my first book in the series I have read but it can be read as a stand-alone. Brynne is a doctor and Chris is a state trooper. Basically a man in a uniform is always a good thing so when the lead character is an officer of the law you know it’s going to be a fun book. Overall I enjoyed it and would read others by K.L. Montgomery. 4 star rating.

Whiskey Dick by Ryan Ringbloom is a romantic comedy that had me laughing out loud. I thought it was a super fun read. I thought it was well written and I loved the characters. I really enjoyed this one a lot. It was exactly the book I needed at the time. One that was fun and funny. I wouldn’t change a thing. 4 star rating.
