The Fifth Knight: An Arthurian Legend Reverse Harem Romance (The Knights of Caerleon series Book 1) by Jesikah Sundin and Claire Luana is a fantasy romance and is an interesting twist to the story of King Arthur and his knights and Merlin. I must admit as I started to read I thought here we go, another knights of the round table, it’s been done to death, but no Jesikah and Claire have written a unique tale which includes a woman as the fifth knight and how they each react to this startling revelation. The action and the flow of the words kept me fully engaged. Fionna is a kick arse sassy heroine and the knights are fun and playful and hot to boot but with a woman in the mix it certainly livens things up. Like every story there are villains and dark fae adding to the complexity of the quintet and their task.

The story Sailors Knot (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 4) by Phoebe Alexander is an amazing romance book that I loved reading. This is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. I have always loved the character of Casey Fontaine since the first book and am so happy that her story is now told. Casey is a larger than life character who has a wonderful personality. She is outgoing and also welcoming to those she meets. She is especially close to friends Leah and Paisley. Casey is battling cancer and her friends have come to see her. Not however without some baggage in their lives and relationships. Casey unravels the story about her past and the two men who were an important part in it. Will this story help both Leah and Paisley with their situation? With her thinking about the past what will happen if she finds herself with a second chance at happiness? Read this story to find out. Casey’s story is one about love and also patience. It also tells of intolerance and the closed minds that people had to the love between two men and one woman. This book also has many hot and steamy scenes. Casey’s story has plenty of passion and desire that is shown by her and her men for each other. There are some heartbreaking moments as well as heartwarming ones as well. It is a story that I found myself thinking about long after I had finished the book. Wonderfully written with amazing characters you do not want to miss out on this story. Highly recommended.

You are hooked into this story from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the last page. I loved reading about the characters of Bryce Samuels and Alexis Gentry. Bryce has been a homicide detective, however, he really wants to save people’s lives when they are in need. He earns a promotion to a job that does just that. Bryce also has never been able to get Alexis out of his mind. Conversations and invites to her have been extended. He wants to get to know her better. Then she shows up at his door after an attack by her ex. An invitation to say with him is given. His emotions towards her are strong. Will Bryce act on his feelings for Alexis? Alexis is a woman who is strong, independent, smart, and stubborn. She is also labeled a rogue and has a bad habit of running when she becomes afraid. Will Alexis allow Bryce into her heart? Bryce doesn’t know about the supernatural world that is all around him. What will happen if he learns the truth? Will Alexis and Bryce have a chance at happiness together? Will they get an HEA? The Plot by Melinda De Ross is a fantastic romantic thriller. On reading the blurb I thought that this book would be right up my street and I was so right. The storyline gripped me from the very first page and had me hooked until the very last page. Yoko Hirano came to the US from Japan at the age of 18. She thought she was starting a new life working as a nanny, only to discover that couldn’t be further from the truth. She’d been brought by the leader of a triad to become a prostitute. 4 years on she’s seeking revenge and wants to bring Michael Chen’s organisation down. When she gets a job with antique dealer Mark Chandler, she can’t believe her luck when she discovers that he has underground dealings with Chen and together they plan to bring him down. The story of how they plan to bring him down is fascinating. It will have you on the edge of your seat wondering if their plan will work or if they will be discovered and feel the wrath of Chen. I also loved the love story between Yoko and Mark. Having been forced into prostitution, Yoko despises men and sees sex as a cruel brutal act. It’s wonderful to see Mark break down these barriers and show her that sex can be a beautiful act between 2 people. It’s also lovely to see him gain her trust and eventually her love. This is the first time I have read anything by this author and if this book is anything to go by, then it won’t be the last.

I truly was unsure what I was going to find in the pages of this dark fantasy. A young girl has a troubled past but has no memories of her childhood. CA King does a great job weaving fantasy and mystery into this tale in a masterful way. There were twists and turns throughout the book, most of which I didn’t see coming. An enjoyable book and an interesting peek into the world that will unfold. I look forward to reading more from this author and in this series.

This the third book in the Darling Cove Series. I think it’s important to read the first two books of the series as there are references made that would be helpful to have knowledge of the characters and events mentioned.
Darling Cove is a small community which still has fairs with pig races and cotton candy and all the other things that makes small towns so much fun.
He is the Fire Chief and she is a lawyer. Together they make sparks. Throw in an adorable son and cute dog and you’ve got a situation that will cause ovaries weep.
This is a story that has multiple story lines (and lots of babies) all working at the same time (much like life). While I absolutely understand the direction the story was going in there were times that it was just “too much”. As a woman who has a “son of my heart” instead of a biological son I 100% understood and related to Skye and Jules relationship.
This is a quick read as were the other books in the series.

I belong in a small town. Everyone knows your name and is willing to lend you a hand. Ryan was my dream guy. He seemed like a breeze sifting through the trees. Built like a brick house. Plus he’s a firefighter. Rebecca was a brat at first but you learn to like her. She has been through a lot and Lord knows it’s never easy when your life gets turned upside down. I felt her pain on many levels through this story. If it wasn’t for my kids I would’ve moved to some unknown place just so I could breath again. I liked that the author didn’t rush the characters. But at some points the characters didn’t feel like they had much depth to them. The characters romance was like a slow burn and it made it seem more real in a way. Reviewed by @gguerrero89

This is the first story in the Small Town Brides series. I loved the beginning of this story. Things start out a little rocky for Ryan and Rebecca. Ryan is truly a gentleman who cares about others and willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Rebecca’s heart is broken, but her loving, caring personality does shine through. I feel that this is a sweet love story between two good characters. I was pulled in immediately, and I was swept in until the end. I did feel that the second half of the book felt a bit rushed, but this didn’t hinder me from enjoying this story!

Although parts of this series may be too much for some, the author does an amazing job weaving her tale with such riveting and relatable characters. This book can be read as a stand-alone. However I believe it is best appreciated when read in the context of the series. Casey is a character you meet early in the series. My first impression wasn’t a positive one. But she quickly became one of my favorites. So I was excited to finally get to read her story and I am happy to say I was not disappointed. Her story was as colorful as she has been throughout the series. Thank you Phoebe Alexander for another fantastic book!

Truly Unfortunate (Welcome To Knollville Book 1) by C.A. King was a fast moving, mind twisting, paranormally weird read, that had me hooked from start to finish.
Not my first read form this author, and I’m am fast becoming to like C.A. King’s writing style and the way they delivery a chilling story. I’m still trying to piece it all together, as some things don’t add up, but do all the same.
This book is something I will tell you. The ending really got me, cause, man, I don’t know what was really true. What the hell was Truly? Was she paranormal, or was she, simply, crazy. With all that had happen to her I was hoping she would get a sort of happy ending, but I guess, it was sort of bitter-sweet.
But enough of that, cause I don’t want to spoil a thing about this spine tingling thriller. This book, as dark and gritty, and mind twisty as it is, still has a strange message. One that fits, and one that also makes you feel so much for Truly. With such a short read, you think something like fully developing a character would slip, but not with Truly. From the jumping back to her past, matching with the present and fully diving into her hellish life. You see all her layers and wondering more and more about her, and if life had it out for her. Whatever the truth, I believe that Truly is where she belongs. Even if she pulled of, what the Doc thinks she did, I’m happy with it, because frankly, like this books said a few times; sometimes fate has a way of evening itself out.
Overall this book is a must read. The smooth dark writing mix with the cutscenes and the lurking darkness, makes this psychological thriller gripping, addicting and pulling. The tone of doom is set from the first chapter, and you can’t help but root for that darkness because not everything is black and white.This book is a haze of grey and as I have said, you’re not going to be rooting for the whole, “good shall conquer all” trope. No, you’re going to be rooting for a unseen force, and hoping that the grey haze will pave a better way for Truly.
So please take my super high recommendation that you will get lost in the darkness that will have you questions everything around you.

Just when I didn’t think I could love this author and this series any more… from the very first page I was drawn in. The characters are relatable and so incredibly genuine. The conflict was unexpected and realistic. I found myself laughing and crying several times in the best of ways. I truly felt like I dove right back into Darling Cove and walked another hundred miles with the characters I’ve come to know and love. Deborah Garland has done a wonderful job expanding this community with these beautiful characters. I will gladly recommend this to others and will admittedly be reading this again to enjoy very soon.

Siren call was a good 4 star read and the third book in the Eastern Shore Swingers series. This is an erotic read with F/F storyline.
Jessie is a police officer with some not so great things in her past. She discovered that she was gay while she was in the academy and is a member of “The Factory” a swingers club, thanks to her friend Paisley. When a new member of “The Factory” starts to cause some concern, Jessie is asked to keep an eye on her.
Sirena recently joined the club and she seems to be drinking a lot and leaves with someone different every night. There is something about her that intrigues Jessie, so she is more than happy to help her friends.

Redemption: An Ash Park Novel by Meghan O’Flynn Four Stars
Redemption is the fifth book in the Ash Park series by Meghan O’Flynn. This series is really amazingly disturbing in the psychological sense. Getting into the minds killers that are twisted and commit horrific acts, is Ms. O’Flynns specialty. This book and series is definitely not for the faint of heart. This book can be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend you read the series in order because the books are all great reads and you will miss some big parts of the backstory. This book is full of mystery, suspense, horror and disturbing situations. This book is Detective Petrovsky’s story that started ten years earlier with his young daughters rape and murder. This book was filled with twists and turns and I really couldn’t guess who the serial killer was till the end. I hope tha this series continues, and can’t wait to read more from this author.

Small Town Hero is the first book in Kim Koby’s Small Town Brides’ series. It is the first book I have read by this writer so I was not so sure what to expect after reading the blurb … I expected a sweet, a simple love story about love and lost and betrayal and new beginnings. And it was all this. It was a bit too simple for me and I like more complex characters and more layers in my love stories but at the same time I would say that if you just need couple of hours to get your head into something else that makes you feel good, the book does its job! Small Town Hero is the story of Rebecca and Ryan – Rebecca gets stranded in Tennessee where Ryan is a local firefighter. So you throw together a city girl and a small town hero and you get the ‘opposites attract’ storyline … yes, it is predictable but heck, sometimes you do need something simple to warm your heart and it not a bumpy ride that leaves you emotionally drained! I am looking forward to checking out the second book in the series to see also how the writer evolves in her writing.

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 1-3) By K.L. Montgomery. I loved these books, each one a little more. They are all based on strong, independent women who struggle with self image and good looking, strong men. They are set in the quaint beach town of Rehoboth where tons of people head for vacations in Delaware. My favorite was Plot Twist the 3rd book in the series. Its about a guy named Meric Chandler a newly divorced accountant and Lindy Larson a plus size teacher who can sing beautifully. Jack & Claire from the first book Fat Girl, write a play for a summer showcase and Lindy & Meric try out for parts. They both get the parts and end up really liking each other but Lindy can’t imagine anyone as good looking as Meric having any interest in her. The story is funny and fast paced. Lindy and Meric end up becoming very good friends and they are both wanting more but are too afraid to act on it. These books are full of positive self image messages for ladies and I loved that about them. Read 1 or 2 or read all 3 you won’t regret it!
The Plot, by Melinda De Ross, is a romantic suspense with a revengeful cast of characters. This is not a clean and beautifully sweet romance, this is a story that is dirty and raw, touching on topics that you will not find in a happy little bubble. Yoko has experienced unimaginable events in her life and strives to find something more while destroying pieces of her past as they attempted to tear her apart. In comes Mark, like a knight in shining armor ready to defend her honor with his last breath. Is there light that can survive among all the dark that has fallen with Yoko’s life? This story truly shows what the promise of hope can give another if only offered the chance to grab on.

Eternal Bloom, Book 2 in the Bloom Duet Series by A.E Gamrat 4 out of 5 Stars This second book picks up exactly where the first one left off. Many books I have read in the past pick up a few months later, etc, but this one I appreciated the immediacy of the continuation of the story. Make sure you read the first on, New Bloom, before you march into this one. Gwen’s life is in an upheaval. Her mom is in the hospital and her prognosis is not looking good. My heart was literally aching for her. You could feel the sadness, uncertainty and fear from Gwen within the paragraphs of the book. The supporting cast of characters in this book are phenomenal. I love Gwen’s dad. Kame is an interesting character. Both in this book and the last I had a love hate relationship with him so I am not sure how I truly feel on this one. I highly recommend this book and the first for an easy Sunday read. Passion, raw crying and full emotions are on point with this one so keep the Kleenex’s close by.

This is a fantastic book. This coming of age/romance novel has just about a little of everything to make the perfect book for this genre. Our main character is Gwen. She is freshly graduated from college and is trying to sort out what she wants to do with her life. I love how the author has brought to life the struggle that some girls face with a tough mother/daughter relationship. Gwen realizes that she has lived a very sheltered life, partly because of the choices of her mother, and when she begins to see the slivers of the outside world, they do not see eye to eye on how she could continue. Gwen is trying to figure out how to stand on her own two feet and stand up for what she wants. When tragedy in her household strikes, all of that is put on hold.
This Author did fabulous job of bringing to life the struggles of being a young adult and the emotions you feel during that time. I appreciate the effort that it took to bring such detail to life. I highly recommend this book and I cannot wait for book 2.

What a story! Right at the beginning it drew me in an i could hardly put this down until it was finished. I really felt very comfortable with this book from the prologue. The wording and characters made me feel welcome. I love the name of this character..Truly. So different but yet perfect.
This poor girl! All she wants to do it survive and try to remember her past. She seems to struggle with just being. Truly is blessed or not. It’s hard to tell. Having access to something unworldly should make her happy but….not when unfortunate things keeps happening around her.
Wow! This had an ending i didn’t see coming so i was a bit surprised. This does open the story for a great new series. This is the first book in that series and I look forward to reading more. On a side note the title and cover are perfectly in line with this book and I loved them.

Jeff is a cop in Knoll County, a position he’s wanted since he was a child. He tends to think outside the box, which gets him in trouble with his boss. When a group of accidents happen, he is convinced there is more going on. Is it his imagination or is there really something sinister happening?
I have read and enjoyed this author before, but I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book because it seems so different than what she has done before. I absolutely loved it! The characters were great, you really feel for Truly and you can understand where Jeff is coming from too. The story is great too, there are quite a few surprises that you will never see coming. I love to be shocked just when I think i have it all figured out.
This is a suspense with a paranormal twist and I highly recommend it to every adult!

Sailors Knot is the fourth book in the Eastern Shore Swingers Series by Phoebe Alexander. Let me start by saying that Ms. Alexander has really set the bar quite high with this wonderful book. I am a big fan of her work and she never fails to deliver an enticing read, and this story is no exception. I have come to expect a lot from her, which probably isn’t very fair on my part, but I blame her for writing stories that just get better and better the farther into the series we go, eclipsing the other books with each new instalment. Just when I think that it won’t be possible to match the previous book, she ups the ante and not only matches, but exceeds them, as well as all my expectations, and blows me away. Especially this book, which is my favourite, and pick of the series so far. Out of all her books, this one wormed its way farther into my heart than any of the others managed to do. From the divine cover, to the exceptional writing, the original storyline, and wonderful characters, Ms. Alexander ticks all the boxes, and then some. This is a fantastic second chances x contemporary romance x erotica. There is heartache, loss, sacrifice, reminiscing, friendship, desire, unconditional love, heartbreak, triumph, sex-positivity, polyamory, passion, erotica, patience, and surprises. This story could be read as a standalone, without feeling like you are missing anything from the storyline. But having said that, the other books are well worth the read, as they really are great stories on their own- but they also introduce other recurring characters. So, having all that information and the backstories would increase your reading pleasure, of this book, and the series as a whole. The series itself is set around a swinger’s club and the people who live the lifestyle and ‘attend’ the club and who go on to form a relationship through that- but this book was a little different as it concentrated more on a polyamorous relationship between three people and the connection, complexities, highs, and lows that came along with that. I was thrilled to finally be getting Casey’s story, and even though Ms. Alexander put my emotions through the wringer, and I really felt for what Casey had been/was going through- I. LOVED. EVERY. MINUTE! Casey Fontane is in California, staying with her sister while undergoing cancer treatment. Leah and Paisley have come to see her, but they both have their own issues that are weighing on their minds. The grand lady that Casey is, she gives them some great guidance by telling her own epic, and complicated love story. We learn that what starts as a way for Casey to get all her ‘needs’ met, turns into something so much more significant- and through her, we meet Gabriel and Joshua- following as Casey takes us all on an incredible journey into the past and back again. Will she get a second chance, in life and love? Or is it all too late? I love these characters, they are quite dynamic, and fully realised individuals with their own quirks and flaws- which made them all the more realistic and relatable. OMG! That ending was EVERYTHING, with cheese on top!!! GAH! Loved it! Now I can’t wait for the next book!

Must Be Crazy is the incredible third instalment in the Darling Cove Series by Deborah Garland. This story is every bit as wonderful as the previous two books, and surprisingly is now my favourite of the series, so far! Why do I say surprisingly? Well, because we have met these two characters in the previous books, and while I was curious about them, I wasn’t sure I would love Skye, or be able to fully connect with her, or the story. I knew Edward would be a shoo-in, but if I hated Skye, then that would make this reading experience quite difficult. But, I needn’t have worried, and should have trusted Ms. Garland, as she’s never let me down before. Not only did she (and Skye) win me over- Edward and Skye have now became my favourite couple of the series! Yeah, I was surprised, that’s for sure!! But in a really great, “OMG! I love this book and you have to read it” kind of way! The story is a touching contemporary romance with a second chances element that really tugged on my heart-strings. It’s romantic, sweet, tender, emotional, heartbreaking, and incredibly steamy story: with wonderful family dynamics (the Mallory’s and the Morgan’s), loyalty, longing, passion, drama, camaraderie, and love. There are all the brilliant characters we’ve grown to love from the previous books, as well as one who I grew to hate with a passion. That’s one of the things that Ms. Garland does so well- she is able to get her reader to completely invest in her characters and their story, whilst also imbuing the story with so much emotion, which had me smiling, laughing, and sobbing all within the same chapter/s. I think I spent much of the final third of the book sobbing my heart out , struggling to read the story through all of my tears, reading as fast as my eyes would allow just so I could see what happens next. Skye Mallory is Gwen (Book #1) and Greg’s (Book #2) sister. She’s an attorney who has her own office on main street and lives in the apartment above her office. She’s worked hard to get to where she is and is quite good at her job. But, now that both her siblings have found love, she knows that there is an expectation for her to do the same. Problem is, she’s still stinging from a bad, and quite embarrassing breakup, and isn’t interested in getting hurt again. Plus, there’s the matter of her long-held and devastating secret that she fears to expose. But when her office and apartment catch fire, She’s saved by the very hunky volunteer fire chief. The sparks fly between them and she can’t help wondering if things would be different with him. Edward Mendelsohn is an architect, volunteer firefighter, single father, and all-round good guy. He hasn’t had a relationship since Julian’s mother walked out on them. Edward’s had his eye on Skye for quite some time, but things hadn’t gone his way when it came to asking her out. He also has Julian, his 7year-old son to consider- he’s Edwards number one priority. When he saves Skye from the fire, things quickly heat up between them and he start to imagine sharing his future with this gorgeous woman. But a strange turn of events sees them in a legal conflict of interest, which brings their budding romance to a screeching halt. Then to make matters worse, the past comes back with devastating consequences for Edward. Can these two work out these various roadblocks and get their romance back on track? Or have they detoured too far off their path to ever find their way back? What happens when her ‘secret’ is revealed? What does the future hold for these two? Well, Ms. Garland certainly put these two through the wringer and made them work hard for every ounce of happiness. There was one crisis after another that had me anxiously sitting on the edge of my seat and quite emotionally invested as I followed along. But I just ADORED how Ms. Garland brought everything together in the end!! I was a grinning, teary eyed idiot. This story/series really deserves to be read and should be on everyone’s TBR list! I am excited to see what “A Must For Christmas: A Darling Cove Novella” has in store for us and have already pre-ordered it!

Well C. A. King you got me again with this story. Once I started I could not put it down. Warning this is a highly addictive author. She grabs you with the first couple of sentences and leaves you wanting more with the last sentence. Ms. King spins a great yarn with her stories. From the descriptions of the scenery to the characters and the roles they play, she really has the reader’s attention, but if you are not careful you may miss one small detail and then there is that curve ball and you will want to go back and see where you may have missed it. This story is a dark fantasy book. The main character is a young woman, Truly who does not have any memories of her childhood. She desperately needs to find out because there are a lot horrid acts happening around her. There is a new doctor and some of the memories are returning but Truly is having issues with some of them (for a really good reason). Jeff the sheriff in town is helping Truly but will that be enough? Will he have problems with the memories? You will have to read the story to find out the answers. I cannot wait to see what the next story has for us.

The Catch is the second book in The Eastern Shore Swingers Series by Phoebe Alexander. This book is a wonderful contemporary romance that takes us on a journey into the world of swinging, so if you don’t like sexy, steamy, and erotic- then this probably isn’t the book for you! But, having said that, don’t let the ‘swinging’ part of the story put you off reading this really great story, because if you go into it with an open mind you will be surprised by what you’ll find under the cover of this superb story, there is much more to the story than the erotic elements. There is depth and substance. Paisley Parker is new to town and has been hired as a manager for the Factory (Private Swingers Club). She’s the definition of sex-bomb: a curvy burlesque dancer from New York. She doesn’t do relationships, only indulging in casual hook-ups. But is there more to her story? Is her confidence masking a deeper vulnerability? In an effort to develop a website for the Factory, Paisley hires someone with the expertise to get the job done right. Enter Calvin Mitchell. He’s immediately drawn to her and would like to see where their mutual attraction may lead. So, what happens when this one-woman-man meets this wild and sexy woman? What happens when he learns about the club and the ‘lifestyle’? What about their age difference? And what happens when the past returns to haunt her? This story is really well written, DUH- it’s Phoebe Alexander! There’s drama, emotion, passion, erotica, some suspense, surprises, friendship, connections, and lots of steam. The characters were wonderful and went through some development and growth over the course of the story. Once again Ms. Alexander has produced a enticing and sex-positive story, that drew me in right from the get-go. Another great read from this talented author!

Love, Christmas – Movies You Love (The Holiday Series Book 2) is a great collection of love stories focused around Christmas. I haven’t gotten to them all yet, but it seems to be a good mix, something for everyone. Each story is inspired by the author’s favorite Christmas movie, which is a fun twist. Most of the stories seem to be short stories, but there are a few longer ones, that are possibly full length. I will do a review on a couple of the stories I’ve read, and plan to cuddle up on the couch with a blanket over the next month finishing the others. A Royal White Christmas by Leanne Banks is one of the shorter stories, but it was cute. It tells the story of two unlikely people falling in love in a small town. Holly has traveled back home to watch over her brother’s farm while he is deployed. She has been living in New York City, and is way out of her element. Finding herself in snow storms, while looking for her brother’s dog, as well as milking goats. A nearby visiting neighbor, Brice, comes to her rescue more than once. During these short, but frequent encounters, they develop feelings for each other, and things quickly take off. The biggest bump in the road is Brice being the heir to the crown. Suzanne Jenkin’s Christmas with the Clouds is not what I expected. The story starts out very heavy, with the main character,Tracy’s husband dying. She finds herself leaning on her patient for support, and making a best friend out of the ordeal. During her healing process, she relies on her in-laws, and new best friend. An unexpected visitor at Christmas, leads Tracy to find love in the most unexpected place of all. Great turn around from the start of the story, and enjoyable to read. I love happy endings! In the spirit of Christmas by Alyssa Bailey is about Tara returning home after a bad breakup. Before even making it into town, she gets a flat tire, and in rides Chase, a knight in shining armor…or rather sexy sheriff in uniform, to save the day. She is in for a big surprise, when she gets home and sees that same sexy sheriff in her dad’s living room! Cute story, and I loved the writing. I will be seeking out more of Alyssa Bailey in the future.

My Hidden Life is an amazing start to a trilogy that I cant wait to finish. It is a prequel to the Brother of Camelot stories, but the first in the My Life Series by Necie Navone. It is a coming of age story, about Alessandra, the Princess of the Canzano Family. Her family is part of the Italian mob, and her dad decided, when she was just 6 years old, she will be the one to take over as the boss of the Family. Her uncle Louie has dedicated his life to protect her, as well as train her. Due to the target on her back, her father decides she must be trained to protect herself in any situation, regardless of being a child. She thinks it is fun as a young girl, but soon tires of it and wishes for a normal teenage life. These feelings intensify after she meets a boy, who doesn’t know her past or story, and sparks fly. Navone quickly made a lifelong fan. I read The Only One earlier this year, which will be tied into this series. I enjoyed it, so when I heard about this book being a prequel, I jumped on it, and was blown away. This story has it all, a little bit of drama, romance, fear, devotion, so many strong feelings. It is told mostly from Alessandra’s point of view, with a mix of her uncle’s as well. I highly recommend this book, and cannot wait to see what happens in both series to come.

Small Town Hero is a short, contemporary romance that focuses on renewal and second chances. Our two characters are thrown together under difficult circumstances but find hope and new life in each other. This was an uplifting read and one that I enjoyed from beginning to end.
Rebecca was convinced she had everything figured out, including a loving fiancé who was accepting of her decision to save herself until after they were married. So after finding him in bed with her best friend, she takes off on a journey to get herself as far away from his as possible. Finding herself in Tennessee, we enter Rebecca’s life as she’s at a real turning point. This is exciting as we see her develop from the ‘old’ her to the new, more relaxed version of herself. I loved how sassy she was at the beginning but also that she was aware of this. Her reaction to Ryan had me laughing out loud at points, especially because she was so surprised at herself! As for Ryan, what a complex character! While we immediately focus on Rebecca’s heartbreak, he too has faced some traumatic events in his life. I loved getting to know him and finding out why he is the way he is.
The connection between Rebecca and Ryan feels so natural and is really entertaining to read. I loved seeing them interact and how easily conversation flowed between them, after they had got to know each other of course! This was such a lovely, sweet read and I’m so glad I took a chance on it. I can’t wait for more in this series!

What a book! I went into this blind as this is a one click author for me, whatever she writes I love, and this one did not disappoint. Casey was a great character and the flashbacks, while not my favorite things in books, were so needed here! This is a book you need to read as I can’t just sum up anything as it all needs to be experienced in this amazing book.

I finished up ‘The Plot’ a few days ago and I have been struggling with the right words to describe my experience with it for some time now. “It was great”, just doesn’t’ seem like enough. “I loved it”, is pretty simplistic too. I think one thing that did stand out to me pretty much consistent throughout while I was reading it though would have to be that I was feeling as if I was getting a full-fledged story, instead of just a one hour glimpse, of one of my all-time favorite television shows. Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.
I had no idea what to expect when I decided to read ‘The Plot’. I had never read anything from Melinda De Ross before, but I can assure you that will be changing here very soon! I was drawn in by the bold cover and the intriguing blurb. I wanted some suspense for the season that is among us with the fall and all. This was perfect. There was never a dull moment. Just when I felt as if I could breathe again something would happen to make me second guess myself all over again. Melinda had a way of weaving the story just right so there was never a lag time.
Yoko lived in a literal hell for four years thanks to Mr. Chen and countless other men like him. They would use her and her body for whatever they pleased and she would see a pittance for it. She is just barely starting over and hardly trusting anyone so when Mark Chandler, her boss, starts to make her feel things she long thought were dead inside her she wonders if she should trust him, could trust him. Would he accept her if he knew her secrets? Then again Mark just might have a few of his own secrets he is hiding too… That you will just have to read and find out for yourself… Happy reading! Truly Unfortunate by C.A. King is the first book in her Welcome to Knollville series. This is a twisted but brilliant fantastic story about Truly. She has no memories of her childhood. But sessions with a doctor start to reveal disturbing visions. Visions that leave a lingering feeling of death. And Truly starts to wonder if there is more going on when bodies start to turn up. Is it all connected? And if so, how? What could to have to do with her kissing childhood memories? This book is just as good as every other book I have read by this author. She has such a way of spinning a story that hooks you right from the start and does not let go. I loved the characters of Truly and Jeff. I loved the story in this book. I really enjoyed how they all worked together. I could not put this book down once I started reading and I am looking forward to seeing what comes next in this series.View all my reviews
