A Frothy Christmas Kiss is the fourth book in the Christmas Kiss Series by Allyson R. Abbott. This like the rest of the stories in the series is a sweet Christmas romance. This short story had me hooked on the very first page and I read the whole bookin one sitting. I love the witty dialog and the fast paced storyline. Brian, the cat, had a hilariously funny roll that brought the whole story together. Kat and Dan have such chemistry, but a lack of communication leaves them confused and dancing around each other. This sweet story left me with a happy feeling, and I highly recommend this story and the whole series.

The Something Series written by Aubrey Bondurant. This box set is filled with book one : Tell Me Something, book two: Ask Me Something and book three: Bet me Something. This was a great series all three book had their own special circumstances and characters. All three stories have strong female leads, even if it is when they feel backed into a corner that they realize how strong they can be to go after what…or who….they want. But will they each succeed….
This is the third novel of the series and can be read as a standalone but i highly recommend the others they were all brilliant! I once again was captivated by the storyline and was unable to set my kindle down until the final page it’s one of those novels you can just get completly lost in and you forget eveything around you , you just end up caught up in their world. I do really enjoy a sweet holiday romance with it’s bumps along the way to keep you hooked and eager to read through the pages. I have fell inlove with this series they really are amazing!!

Souls Collide by Kristina Beck is the third book in her Collide Series and this one just keeps getting better and better. This suspenseful romance follows the story of Alexa and Kent, that just pulls you in from the first page and you won’t be able to get enough of these two. Alexa is a caring, compassionate woman who is fiercely independent, and yet these is something that draws her to her neighbor Kent. He doesn’t seem to show any emotion or even seem to notice that she is a woman by any means and yet she just can’t stay away. Never one to mince her words, Alexa keeps being her indelibly honest personality until she gets under his skin. Kent has spent his life being a police officer, at the expense of every woman in his life, he can’t give up his love of defending the law and so he stays away from romantic entanglements to spare them from his livelihood. As a man who is barely existing, he comes off as unsympathetic and even churlish at times. Then Alexa walks in the room. The sparks that fly between these two from that first meeting will singe the pages. Conflict is how Kent attempts to keep Alexa at bay, and yet the more time they spend together the more that he finds himself wanting to protect her and keep her all to himself. Can these two find a way to put down their swords and give into the passion that everyone else can see between them? Or will the hurt of their pasts keep them from having the romance of a lifetime? Beck is anew to me author, and I am so happy that I picked up this book. Once I realized that it was part of a series, I did gobble up the other two books in this series. I highly recommend that you read this series in order, even though each book can stand on its own merits. If you are looking to get swept away by great characters and an author who will capture your heart than this is one that you need to get today! I hope that Beck keeps writing because I can’t wait to see what she brings to her readers next.
A Pink Christmas Kiss is book three in the Christmas Kiss series by Allyson R. Abbott. This story was another titillating tale that will both delight and entertain. A fantastic holiday read.
Billie was a character that I did not connect with. I found her a little selfish and immature. She did not or could not think of others until it was too late. She was a mixed up woman in need of a stern talking to to realise not everything can go her way, and that it is ok if it doesn’t. Leroy I connected with instantly and always felt that there was more to him than met the eye. He was a deep and complex character, but just wanted a simple life with the one he loved. He was a family man and would do anything for them. Billie did redeem herself in my eyes, and I got the whole melting heart feeling at the end.
A Pink Christmas Kiss was eloquently and emotionally fascinating. High quality writing mixed with a cast of intriguing and realistic characters made for exciting and fulfilling reading. 4 stars.

Beats of the Heart by Charli B. Rose is the first book in her new series Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star Series, and wow what a fantastic start! Following the story of Izzy and Dawson, who have been best friends for as long as either of them can remember and yet the feelings between them are deeper than that of friendship lately. When they decide to take the step into lovers from friends, their hearts beat as one. Izzy is Dawson’s muse, she makes all of his musical talents possible. Dawson is the only man who has made Izzy feel the way she does. The chemistry between these two is palpable from between the pages, making for some very steamy reading at times. Everything seems to be going perfectly for these two love birds until the darkness starts to roll in and threaten everything, they have worked so hard to achieve. Will these two be able to work together to make it back towards the light, or will this journey as lovers end with broken hearts and empty promises? Rose is a new to me author, but I am so happy that I picked this book up. From the first page I fell into this story, into the world of Izzy and Dawson, and I couldn’t read this one fast enough to satisfy my need. The banter and chemistry between these characters was very well executed, making for a great read. If you are looking for a book that will make you swoon while pulling you into a perfectly written world than this is the one for you. I can’t wait to see where this series goes next!

Snatching Dianna (Feisty Lawyers Book 1) By Seelie Kay
Snatching Dianna is the first book in the Feisty Lawyers by Seelie Kay. With this my first book by this author I was quite open to what I might be reading. But I have to say this book was a nice quick read. I also found this book was well written and the story just flowed throughout the book. If you enjoy books that contain danger, crime and suspense then I am pretty sure this is looking like it will be the series for you. If book one was this great, I can’t wait to see what happens throughout the series. Thank Seelie for a great start to the series.

The Confectioner’s Truth (Confectioner’s Chronicles Book 3) By Claire Luana
The Confectioner’s Truth is the third and final book this series. Please don’t start with book three I wouldn’t recommend them read a standalone. We have the pleasure of meeting some new characters in this book, each one I feel enhances the storyline. Wren went through some time in self-doubt and tries to learn from mistakes she has made. Will she be able to learn and not make the same mistakes again? The only thing I did question was why so many couples, but all in all I enjoyed the book. The thing I liked about this series is I found most of the characters to have their own strengths, I could be wrong but that’s my personal opinion! I really liked how Claire just kept building up this series, sometimes I find the last book in a series to be disappointing, but not with this book. The Confectioner’s Truth has ended this series perfectly. I would also recommend anyone and everyone to read this series, you won’t be disappointed.

Phew! Heart stopping, emotionally charged romance… Wine does it again. Yet another fantastic literary offering in the Surviving Series. The author has a distinct, riveting voice and is able to immediately connect her audience with her story. The characters are relatable and complex. Overall this book is one I couldn’t put down and I will highly recommend it.

I totally absolutely no doubt about it love this author and anything she writes. This one right here might just be one of my favorites, which is saying a lot because everyone of them are out of this world amazing!
I loved this storyline and the character building was awesome. I was an absolute mess through most of this book…I was either laughing uncontrollably, or my heart was breaking, or through most of it I was swooning over the sweetness of Theo and Hadley together, and the way Hadley’s family was with them. One of my favorite lines was “ Your dad put me in time out” LOL
This book was exactly what I needed after some of the heavier books I’ve been reading lately and I already can’t wait to read it again.
This is one of those stories that deserve more than 5 stars 🙂
Beats of the Heart Charli B. Rose is the first book in the Lyric Odyssey Rockstars series. This book is part one of two, the second book will continue the story of Izzy and Dawson. This book is a great rockstar romance. It has everything you could want – best friends, lovers, angst. I love the fact that the author knew enough about these characters to see their story couldn’t be told in just one book. It ensures that nothing about this story felt rushed. It was paced it well with great flow. And the characters are such interesting ones to read about. Izzy and Dawson honestly left my head spinning. I absolutely cannot wait to see what cook two holds in store for them.

Leaving Jackson Wolf by P.A. Kane is a brilliant coming of age novel. This if the first book I have read by this author and I am blown away by how amazing it was. It is a unique story of two young boys, friends to only each other, on the outskirts of the teenage society. This novel really explores what their life is like and true troubles they have to face in a daily basis. Everything about this book is the two characters. It is entirely their story being told. The author really goes into them in great depth, without really any distractions from the story or other characters. He really knows how to grab your attention as well. The blurb is purposely vague and doesn’t really give away what to expect. It does nothing to prepare you for how deeply you will get sucked into this novel. A brilliant story, one I will be thinking about for a long time.

“A Tangy Christmas Kiss” is the second novella in the Christmas Kiss series by Allyson R. Abbott, but these are stand alones so they do not need to be read in any particular order that I’ve seen so far. This lovely story follows Mel, whose mother called last minute to get Mel to Spain to help her aunt after a surgery. Mel’s trip shows her the kindness of strangers and learning to accept help when it is offered as she figures out she isn’t as independent as she thought. The great lessons, wonderful characters and scenery all make this story perfect for Christmas! As an animal lover, the smaller theme of animals that seems to crop up in both books is a great added touch! These easy to read stories make for a nice afternoon in on a cold winter day! Leaving Jackson Wolf is a young adult novel by P.A. Kane about a teenage boy coming of age. This is a genre that I very seldom read but was intrigued by the blurb and decided to give this novel a try. I must add that I’m so glad I did. I really enjoyed this story. Jackson Wolf is a biracial (Black mother and white father) teenage boy growing up in a predominantly white area. His mother walked out years ago leaving Jackson with his alcoholic father Mickey. Let’s just say that Mickey will not be winning any Father Of The Year awards. Mickey is violent towards Jackson and can often be racist towards his son. I really found Jackson to be a very inspiring young man. He’s had a really crappy start to life but he has a really wise head on his shoulders and has a fantastic outlook on life. His growing friendship with James McDougal, who has been the object of many school bullies is a very large part of this story and I loved reading about their friendship and how they both grew to rely on each other and supported each other through some very hard times. When the 2 boys first interacted with one another, you would never have guessed that they would become firm best friends. This is a really heart-warming read about coming of age and I’m really glad I stepped away from my usual tried and trusted genres and gave this book a chance.

“A Prickly Christmas Kiss” by Allyson R Abbott is the first book in the Christmas Kiss series. This short and sweet novella follows Elf (Emma’s perfect nickname) and her Christmas adventure at a cabin in the woods outside of North Polerton. Elf was so happy to be spending Christmas with her friend Carla’s family cabin, until her perfect plans all fell apart. What happens is so much more than she was expecting and everything she needed. This story has all the magic of Christmas and all the fun as well! The setting, characters and perfect time of year help make this book a wonderful little read. Seelie Kay just took my breath away. Snatching Dianna is the story that I fear the most. I have three daughters and I fear that they will be snatched and made into slave trafficking/sex trafficking. This story (I know it is fiction) could very well happen. Seelie Kay made me want more and more but at times I found myself making cringing faces because of the content. There are many twists and turns which kept me on my toes. I do not know how long it took to read the book because I was that enthralled with the story line. Thank you, Seelie Kay I loved this story and cannot wait for the next book.

This is one of those books that the synopsis alone had me hooked. I always love a little taboo here and there so this was one I was ready to devour.
Both Theo and Eden are both suffering from loss. Both are clouded with grief and have a way of handling it different. Theo met grief early on in life while with Eden its fresh. Theo is a very well known psychiatrist and takes Eden on as a patient (she’s the daughter of one of his friends). Almost immediately he realizes this won’t be easy. They both have this pulse and electric energy between them that neither one can deny. I went into this book really thinking that the age difference was the taboo bit (13 years) but I think it’s more about the Doctor / patient aspect that’s more of the taboo.
The writing and flow of the story was beautifully done. There were things that surprised me and I love that it wasn’t predictable. I cannot wait to dive into book 2 and see where this series takes me!

This is another amazing addition to the Christmas series I’ve loved every one so far. My eyes were completely glued to the pages i just couldn’t get enough was captivated by the storyline. I’ve found myself feeling more into the festive spirit while reading these novels they are such a delight with it’s joyful romantic storyline and with amazing relatable character’s. The storyline once again has humour which i highly enjoy in a novel nothing better then smiling and laughing while your reading, i also loved the element of mystery it had it really had me eager to turn the pages to see what will happen next. This was a short sweet read which will get you in the christmasy mood!

Law student Dianna goes missing one morning after jogging. Professor and former undercover agent Janet is alerted to the problem. Some of the details sound all too familiar. It sounds like a slave trafficking racket Janet worked a while back. She thought they broke them up. The more they discover, the deeper they go. Can they rescue the missing student? Or will they be too late?
This was an interesting book. The story was intriguing and the characters were quite good. The only thing was that I felt like I was thrown into the middle of a series. I felt confused for a bit until they got into the search more. But this could have just been me. However, I really did enjoy this book and hope to see more in this series.
If you like a thriller with some hot and heavy scenes, you should pick up this book.

Beachcomber Gone: Beachcomber Investigations Book 9: a Romantic Detective Series by Stephanie Queen is a fun, thriller. Dane and Shana travel to meet Shana’s family in Australia. Things go out of control and the situation and people are not always what they seem. I recommend this if you like romance, great dialogue, and some thriller thrown in. I have not read the whole series and this can be read as a standalone. I think that something is lost because reading alone loses the buildup from the other books. I like the two main characters and their relationship. The story is a fast read and I was sorry when it ended. I am planning on reading more from the series since I have enjoyed the books I have read.
A Tangy Christmas Kiss Christmas Kiss Book 2 By Allyson R. Abbott ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a sweet romance story, dealing with language barriers. A great story for the young adults and anybody who would enjoy a good clean romance.
When two strangers come to meet and neither one understands the other. Mel helps out her mother on request. She has flown to Spain, to house sit for her aunt Rose. Mel has no clue what she is about to walk into. Once in Spain, nothing is as she remembers. Not only that but she must learn to communicate, and to understand a foreign language. Challenges are in place and now she must adapt. Or lose the gorgeous young man who is there to help her.
Allyson Abbott has opened up a whole new world for me. Learning to adapt in a foreign country. Who knew? Not me! Having never left the USA. This story really opened my eyes. I absolutely fell in love with Mel and Lucas, their struggles were real. Their love was even better. Well done Allyson R. Abbott! Looking forward to reading the rest in this series.

Snatching Dianna (Feisty Lawyers Book 1) by Seelie Kay. I loved this book. It’s the story of Janet MacLachlan a former covert agent, now a Law Professor, who is looking into the disappearance of a student named Dianna Murphy. Clues lead her to believe she’s been taken by a slave trafficking cartel. Janet talks her husband Police Chief David Manders into helping her. Dianna’s roommate is scared & upset and her parents are hysterical. This is such a quick, good read. It’s about a very scary, horrific subject but one that is very prevalent in our society today. Will they find Dianna or will she be lost forever. This is an awesome book and I highly recommend it!

Snatching Dianna is the first book in the Feisty Lawyers series. It can be read as a standalone, however the epilogue leaves things open for the series to continue.
This book is a peculiar mix of action, mystery, humor, and issues that are serious (i.e. human trafficking). Overall, it was a good read. There were a few places where it was a little bumpy, but nothing distracting enough to take away from the main story. One of the things that I wish had been a little different is the depth of the characters, it takes a little while to get into them. It does have some brief adult scenes so it is meant for readers 18 and over.
A pink Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is my favorite in the series so far. This was a sweet book about a second chance romance. Billie and Leroy were the perfect couple. She decided to move to NY for better opportunities. She thought Leroy would follow her or at least fight for me but none of that happened. Here she is 5 years later and suffering from being homesick. She would love to go back to Nevada but, doesn’t want to seem like a failure. Luckily she gets a phone all from her dad telling her he needs to give up the auto repair shop due to his failing health. Billie spent a lot of time in the shop growing up. This was a perfect reason to go home.
She ends up working in the repair shop and the. Finds an old beat up deuce in a back corner buried under other stuff. The deuce is her dream car. The person dropped off the car and said money is no object, but they wanted it fixed up and there was no rush. Billie spent all her free time rebuilding it and making it beautiful. When she finds out the car is for her, she must return it to the rightful owner.
Billie runs into Leroy shortly after coming home. They both never stopped loving each other but they are both hurt. Leroy is hurt that she left him and Billie is hurt that Leroy never fought for her. Leroy had his reasons and they were really good ones. Would Billie still have left is she knew what was holding him back? Leroy didn’t want Billie to know what he was dealing with because he thought she would stay by his side and then resent him.
Every time Leroy and Billie seem to run into each other things go horribly wrong. Will they be able to reconcile and forget the past heartbreak they both felt?
Throw all the old feelings in with a five year separation and a pink deuce.
This book had me hooked from the first chapter. I loved the characters and thought the book was well written

This is book 9 in the “Beachcomber Investigations” Series. While it could probably be read as a stand-alone, I think it would be better to read the series in order. There is a common thread and recurring characters in each installment and reading the series will enhance each story.
As with the other books in the series, we follow the M/m on unexpected adventures. This is a story with romance, action, suspense and a little of everything else thrown in. It is a very quick read at about 150 pages but has the weight of a full bodied novel.
The series has been well plotted, characters are well developed and the story ebbs and flows in a way that keeps the reader interested.
I recommend this book, this series and this author.

The Confectioner’s Truth, Book 3 in the Confectioner’s Chronicles by Claire Luana 5 out of 5 stars
This book is action packed, fast paced, and heart pounding. Long after I had finished this book, I was still feeling the affects of the twists and turns this story took. Wren is back at it with her friends, companions and allies. Two weeks after the events from the last book (which if you have not read, you should stop everything that you are doing and go read Book 1 and Book 2) Wren and her group are out exploring the new lands. We meet a few new characters who add a lot of depth and interaction to the already well established characters in this book and those what have been in the entire series.
Wren goes through a period of self doubt. She has made some grievous and very costly mistakes in the recent past and she is trying to learn from them without letting them shake her. A feat easier said than done. I loved the different points of view within this story and appreciated the different aspects that each one brought to the story. My heart broke for those who suffered major loss and I was angry for those who felt that they were on the outside of justice.
Overall this book is fantastic. This was an amazing conclusion to this beautifully written series and this author did a fantastic job closing this series, with no loose ends. I recommend this entire series for all thriller/romance/mystery/suspense lovers.

A Second Chance by Brooke May is a great paranormal romance read! It’s the first book in The Powder River Pack series, and it’s also my first book by this author but it certainly won’t be my last.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish! It had the perfect amount of drama to keep me intrigued the whole way through. I loved following along with Anna and Derek and their undeniable connection. I look forward to reading book 2!

A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott. This is such a fun series! I read all of them one right after the other. This is the story of city girl Mel who gets roped into flying to Spain to house sit of her aunt. It being a bungalow on the beach in Spain, she’s left wondering why her Mother is not jumping on it. She also has to leave right now, what’s the big rush she wonders. On her flight to Spain she starts getting more nervous as she doesn’t speak a lick of Spanish. The trip takes forever and she misses her lift to her house. Not knowing the language she’s scared & doesn’t know what to do. The handsome Spanish stranger she sat by on the flight just happens to help her even though she doesn’t understand a word he’s saying. Romance follows. Such a sweet, holiday love story. I loved it!

Beats of the Heart by Charli B. Rose is a Rockstar romance that ends on a cliffhanger but I still say you need to read it. I have read a lot to Rockstar romance but this story was a little different – Izzy and Dawson are already a couple, they are childhood friends turn lovers for about 3 years now. I’m so used to the boy meets girl, fall in love type book, this was a nice change. Izzy and Dawson are perfect for each other; supportive of the others dreams and do everything to make this long-distance relationship work. For this being Charli’s first novel, I have to say well done. The story flows and had me feeling every word. I am sitting on the edge of my seat, waiting for the next book to come out so I can find out what happens next.

Guilty Pleasures 2 is a couple of short stories. The short stories in this collection were so steamy. If you have a few hours to spare you should definitely read this set of stories. It’s about 4 stories featuring the same guy but, the female is different in each. This was like no other spicy set I’ve read before.
