A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is the second book in the Christmas Kiss series. I was hoping for a connection between this book and the first but there isn’t so it can be read as a standalone.
Mel flys to Spain last minute to help her Aunt and act as a stand in for her Mom. After an incredibly long trip she finally gets on her last flight only to find she is sitting next to a very good looking man.
Lucas is an absolute sweetheart and he falls for Mel immediately and offers to help her get to her Aunt’s place and so much more.
For a short story a lot of things happen, especially to poor Mel. This is a sweet love story and I’m looking forward to finishing up this series.

Degrees of Power by Via Mari is the fourth and final book in the Prestian series. When I first finished the book I wasn’t sure how I felt about the way she ended it, but after a little bit I have decided that I liked it. Part of the reason is Jenny had her own series and I fully expect Katarina and Chase to pop up.
Katarina and Chase have had quite the whirlwind romance with so many different things happening to them or the people they love, never a dull moment for them.
They have learned so much in the short time they have been together, the biggest lesson is trust and how important it is to a relationship.
I have some questions about some if the things that happened but like I said I’m hoping to see them in Jenny’s story and get those questions answered.

Fatal Legislation by Ellen Butler is book two in the Karina Cardinal Mystery series. It’s seems as though Karina is never in the right place at the right time. She always tends to find herself in the mist of some sort of crazy scene. Though a different twist than book one, this story is more political but just as interesting. A run in with the senator and uncovering a few murders, just a day in the life. I was nervous for Karina and her boyfriends relationship. Mikes character was very well put together and I enjoyed the two of them. I recommend this series, read in order as there are some tie ins from the first book.

Holy Pete, there was a lot going on in this book! I was very glad to find out that this was going to have more than just a part two eventually. I understood that this took awhile to set up as far as the story line went but for me that first third or so of the book really was a stall for me. I struggled to get into it. My issue was the many layers that this author was trying to take on and the multiple point of views all at once. Don’t get me wrong! I ended up really enjoying this book and the concept. There was a lot of time and plotting that went into this that is beyond evident once you finish. I really hope I don’t get the flu this year. So my strongest suggestion, stick through it, it’s totally worth it in the end!
Like I was mentioning this was a packed book, but the main gists boil down to our MC, Havana, or more referred to as Vana, is swept up into a situation that she never expected to find herself in. Worse so she is a headstrong woman that knows how to take care of herself and these handsome three me that want to help her certainly are not going to make it easy on her nerves or her hormones. This is a reverse harem/ menage novel, another layer added, and this is done well. Things begin to heat up between the four, and not just between the skin. For more of the details you will just have to devour this gem for yourself.

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on ‘The Way You Are.’ It kind of snuck up on me and my newsfeed as a new release just three days before it was to go live and thus hit my kindle and I have to say it was a long three days. But, I was grateful that I didn’t have a longer anticipation time lol. I absolutely adored the first four Carolina Connections Novels. Noting that this is the fifth book in the series, these are all written in a way that they could be read as standalone’s. However, the characters from the previous books also make guest appearances here and there, so that is a bonus!
‘The Way You Are’ was such a funny read. It balanced the perfect amount of romance and comedy just like we are used to seeing from Sylvie Stewart. This is partly why I absolutely can’t help but one-click everything from her. Of course the romance had the zing that made you want that tall glass of wine and a fan. Sylvie has a knack for that slow burn build up too! I could honestly gush about the writing for days but…. onto the goods.
OH, Olivia, Liv… I loved her. Sometimes I wanted to yell at her and others I wanted to cheer for her. A lot like she hackle all those players. Liv loves her baseball. She loves her boyfriend. At least she thinks she does. He is perfect. The ballplayer of her dreams. But, there is her best friend that is starting to look really good. Like, not just friend zone good.
Brett gives up. He really likes Liv. But there is that friend zone. He is infamous for it and really it’s just made it to the point where he is just focusing on his career and enjoying what and who he does have in his life at the moment. What will happen when his chance finally comes and the prince charming messes up big-time?

Nothing puts the brakes on a prewedding visit to your hometown like finding out what you thought was a closed case has been reopened because of a possible insider. Shana wants Dane to meet her family before they get married but Murphy’s Law is in full effect and everything seems to get worse. I felt so frustrated and angry for all the curves thrown at Shana and Dane. I love these characters and I just want them to be happy. But then again, that doesn’t make for a very interesting story series. Danger around every turn in Australia? Super exciting and interesting! Each character is explored and has depth. I learn more about the couple in each story and the world building is fantastic. Attention to detail and in character arcs is brilliant. Kevin gives me creepy chills, Shana makes me want to cultivate my game face, and Dane’s deep affection for Shana makes me just want to hug him. This could absolutely be a stand alone novel but I do not recommend it. This entire series is worth every second of read time.
Rising Star by Susannah Nix. This is an amazing book that kept me flipping pages way into the night. Its the story of Alice Carlisle who has been doing jobs in Hollywood as an extra on a hit soap opera. She had also been working on her dissertation for a Ph. D. Her Ph.D has been put on hold, her soap opera is ending so she will be out of work and her roommate is kicking her out so his boyfriend can move in. In other words her world is crumpling. Griffin is one of the up and coming Hollywood stars, good looking and on everyone’s radar. His life is falling into place until his dog sitter bails on him for the summer. Becoming friendly with Alice, Griffin decides to ask her to dog/house sit for him during the summer. It will help them both out. She reluctantly accepts and soon she and Griffin are very close. Will she let go and trust him to see if they can make it work, will Griffin quit trying to please everyone but himself and give himself completely to Alice. This book was very sweet, romantic and full of comedy. I loved every minute of it.

The Only Series 5 Book Box Set by Bree Kraemer includes all five books from The Only Series. I’ve read other books by this author and loved them so much so I was excited to read these books and it was even better that they were all in one box set! Each book tells the story of a different couple but characters reappear throughout the series. The books flowed so well from one to the next even though they are standalones. Each couple had a different story to their relationship and had their own trials. Samantha’s character really stood out to me because she had experienced so much but she didn’t let it get her down and she fought to get her life as close to normal as she could get it. All of the men were very swoon worthy! I don’t think I could pick a favorite if I tried. I am so glad I read these books!! Bree Kraemer doesn’t disappoint.

Beachcomber Gone is the NINTH book in Stephanie Queen’s Beachcomber Investigations series! Nine books of goodness! You can reach each and every one of them as a standalone as they all have a ‘case’ that gets solved! I have read couple of other books in the series and enjoyed them tremendously and have the rest already downloaded and I have to admit that I also ventured out to Stephanie’s other series (Scotland Yard Exchange)… So, Beachcomber Gone is another one of Dane and Shana stories and this time it hits close to home as it affects them personally! They get forewarned of the danger when they are on the flight to Australia (to visit Shana’s family) but unfortunately you cannot just parachute off the commercial flight and of course you cannot leave your family in danger (it is Shana’s mother who is being threatened…). I love the chemistry between Shana and Dane, it is actually something beyond chemistry … it is sort of an addiction … Shana is Dane’s Achilles’ heel … He is one complex man and it makes the reading even more enjoyable! No simple bam-wham-mam … no no … it is a real dangerous story with not the usual backup and they don’t know who to trust and who not and … well, let’s just say that it was another brilliant instalment of the series and I wonder if I will last ‘til the day those two get married or will I have a heart attack first!

The Way You Are is the fifth book in Sylvie Stewart’s Carolina Connections series! I have read every single story in the series and I have loved every single one of them! You can read the story as a standalone BUT I would recommend taking it from the beginning as you meet the rest of the gang and understand some of the back story. Sylvie is a fantastic story teller and pulls you in from page one! The sense of humour and the care she takes of her characters … oh my! I was so happy to see that finally we have another story in the series AND I giggled a bit when I saw that she is planning at least couple of more! The Way You Are is the story of Brett, the eternal nice guy (we have met him before, he is Gavin’s best friend), and Liv, a diehard baseball fan veterinarian. What do you think you will get when you throw together essentially a nice guy and a smart and loyal girl who is not a good judge of character and who also has a boyfriend? They start off in the ‘friend zone’ and yeah, it is sort of a slow burn but oh my when it finally catches fire, it burns hot! And as I said previously, I was great to see all the other old friends from the previous stories and I cannot wait to see what Sylvie as in store for Ari and Jax and Haley …

Wow! Will I be able to survive Eden and Theo!? What a great story! This is my first one by Virginia Wine and thankfully won’t be the last. Surviving Eden was a story that I could not put down. I don’t know if it was the taboo situation of Theo and Eden, their actual connection, the total hotness of the entire story, or everything rolled into one, but I loved it.
Lots of emotions and feelings in this story, sadness, confusion, happiness, the feeling of being safe, love, hot sex. Yeah, this book has it all. I definitely recommend it for readers over 18 years. Can’t wait to read what’s next in this series!

5 Stars
This author has quickly become a favorite of mine. I Loved the first of this series and this one was no different. Karina is absolutely one of my favorite female leads, there’s no doubt…and her relationship and interaction with Mike is awesome.
I was on the edge of my seat the entire book, this author wastes no time getting started in her stories and I loved that some of the characters from the last book were still right in the thick of things, right down to Mrs. Thundermuffin LOL
I am totally addicted to this series and can not wait for more, Karina has me shaking my head more often than not in these stories but I just know I would love to be her friend and love to be right there with her in her quests to find the truth.
Highly recommend, but read these in order…This one could possibly be considered a stand alone..But dont, I promise, you need to read them both! 🙂

Degrees of Power is the final book in the Prestian Series by Via Mari. I recommend reading the book in order as they pick up where the last one ended. Via Mari does an amazing job of pulling all the stories together. The stories have a mystery, passion, emotions, family issues, fear and romance. Degrees of Power has Kat and Chase together and continuing to look over their shoulders looking for their fathers. Even though they are running it seems like they have time for them. They have a steamy passion romance. You will want to read this story to find the exciting end of the story.

Venganza is the prequel to Primogénito. Once again this author has pulled out all the stops again to make this read an even better than the last, and just as captivating. I found I just couldn’t put the book down, I read it one sitting and found myself completely and utterly drawn in to what was happening with the characters, this gave us a better insight into Damien and his story, as well as part of Damien & Jenn’s story, but more than that the whole general storyline of all involved was just as captivating in this read than in Primogénito. This book was thrilling, suspenseful, dark, mysterious, emotional, heart-breaking and shocking. This book was filled with twists and turns that you never expected, that left you on the edge of your seat, wanting to know what was going to happen, but it also left you reeling after what you were reading.
This was an incredibly gripping, mysterious and suspenseful read that I’m glad I got the chance to experience and will look forward to seeing what else this author can bring.

Untrainable by Jamie Schlosser is a fun and easy read that will keep you entertained from page 1. Hadley and Theo are probably two of my favourite characters that I have read about recently. I really found myself just getting lost in their story – Theo the disgraced reality star as Hadley with the budding show biz career. The whole premise of the story was fun and engaging. I couldn’t wait to see what happened to them when they starred in the show together. This is a great book and one I can definitely recommend.View all my reviews

I have read a couple of books by this talented author and she always surprises me. My favorite books are about Christmas. It puts a warm feeling in my heart. This is the third book is the Christmas Kiss series. These books don’t need to be read in order because they are about different couples. I was hooked on this book from page one. I could not put this book down and I read it straight through.
Billie left her hometown to follow her dream in New York. She was very disappointed when the love of her life Leroy did not follow her. Billie was too proud to pick up her phone to see how he is doing so time passed. Her family needs her help so she returns to her hometown. Billie is helping her father in his car shop. She is surprised when a gift comes to her and it takes her back to the good times. Billie is getting ready for Christmas and she runs into Leroy again. She still feels the chemistry between them but does he feel the same way? Will Billie forgive Leroy and move on or was there too much pain to heal?
I absolutely loved this book. This is the perfect book to get you into the Christmas spirit. This book has everything you want romance, humor, and forgiveness. You will fall in love with these characters right from the start. Billie loves her family so much she goes back home to help. She is still a little bitter of what happened long ago with Leroy. Leroy is a great guy. He just wants to see Billie happy. They way he treats her will make your heart melt. This author will keep you guessing on what will happen to these unforgettable characters. I can’t wait to see what this author will have for us next.

Claiming Her Mates by Dia Cole is the first book in the paranormal shifter series. This book is a hot and steamy tale of Havana and her three protectors. This book is a very strange mix of paranormal and yet somehow it works. Shifters and zombies is not something I have seen together before, probably die a good reason, and get this author has created a story that combines these elements in a way that is believable. At times I felt the story could have used a bit more detail to it however it was exiting and an intriguing read. I am interested to see how the rest of this series develops.

A Pink Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott was a sweet, light hearted read, that had all the good mushly feels I love in a Christmas read!
Not my first read by this author or in this series, this is the third book in the Christmas Kiss series, and I have to say, this one is my personal favourite so far. Rich with detail, and stuffed with witty banter and a strong MC, I was hooked and frankly I loved every minute of this magical christmas tale.
This one is a little different than the other two, the first two books follow our MC’s getting stranded, or stuck in a unknown place and having to rely on the kindness of strangers. This book follows the more typical romantic story line. It’s a second chance style romance, and that’s probably why I may have, connected more with this one. I have a soft spot for this type of storyline, and when they are done right they are downright, dare I say, magical. And I can tell you, this book, was done all kinds of right.
A quick read, we are tossed into the jiff of things pretty quickly. But that fast moving pace did not take away from the detail writing and down to earth well-rounded characters, that the author managed to sculpt and mold into multi layered people, before you even know what’s happening. That alone pulls you into the plot, gets you connected and before you know it, your in so deep you yourself are now apart of the story, rooting for Billie and Leroy to win.
So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval that you will get lost in this heart melty Christmas romance, that will give even the best hallmark movie the run for its money.

Claiming Her Mates, by Dia Cole, is the first book of this paranormal series. This author has taken a completely different spin on a shifter story. The drama that ensues keeps you fully engaged as Havana and the shifters work to elude the virus and keep safe. Adding attraction and need into the equation, nothing is off limits in this story and the story offers an enticing flare in this reverse harem style story. By the time you come to the end of Claiming Her Mates, you will want to read the next book(s). Dia Cole did a fabulous job of leaving just enough unanswered to keep your appetite whet.

It Ends Tonight (Bayou Devils MC Book 4) By A.M. Myers. Once again I’m blown away with the story this author gives. This may be my favorite from the series and that hard to say because they are all amazing. You can read this as a standalone without any confusion but you’ll want to read the rest because they are just as great. The author writes a story that you sink into and forget its make believe, from page one I knew I was in for a treat. The characters are complex and relatable. Their stories different but each equally complex and emotional. The author does a wonderful job of writing characters that you root for and want to see happy in the end. I can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next! I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to anyone.

Venganza: The Fuentes Legacy is the prequel to Primogenito. It can be read as a standalone.
This book was…intense, dark, fearsomely twisted, and kept up a pretty good pace. I read the whole thing in one day because I had to find out how it ended. After I finished it, I realized that this is probably one of those books that would be really great to read on a dark and stormy night. It’ll get to you on so many levels.
The author has worked paranormal elements into the story in such a way that it is very believable. It is a creative tale, and well written.
One thing I will say is that this book is not for anyone who is triggered by violence. There are some very brutal moments that may be difficult for some people to read. I would definitely say this book is not for anyone under the age of 18.

Never Let Me Fall by Abbie Roads is the thirds book in the Fatal Dreams series and follows the stories of Helena and Thomas and how they become involved in each others worlds and in the end romance blossoms.
Helena has had a hard life being raised by her grandparents, then at eighteen being charged and convicted of murder she never committed, once released she has struggled to let go of the horrors of her past until she meets Thomas.
Thomas is a soul who has also had a terrible upbringing, one too many abusive fights with his step father had rendered him colour blind, but one one sense goes he was gifted another great sense. Thomas has the ability to look into peoples souls and determined if they good or bad. He sees colours in auras and when he meets Helena he sees the most beautiful colours in the whole world and is instantly attracted to her.
This is the first story I have read in this story and although the story flowed I feel I would have had a better understanding of the characters better. This did not distract from the story it was full of intrigue and romance with the two main characters attraction pretty quick in the story.
I loved the twist on the paranormal of the gifts that Thomas had was a real joy to read and the interaction between the two characters was brilliant. I thought the story was well written and the characters where well developed, I would love to read the first two books in this series to see what secrets I have missed in the beginning of this great series.

Degrees of Power (A Prestian Series Book 4) By Via Mari
I loved this book! I have loved this series from the beginning, these books are not meant to be read as a standalone. This book picks up right where the last one leaves off. I’m so sad that Chase and Kate’s story has come to an end. I truly enjoyed following the growth and degrees of their relationship. This series took me on an incredible journey. I highly recommend this book, along with the entire series.

A Pink Christmas Kiss, by Allyson R. Abbott, is the third book of the Christmas Kiss series. This holiday romance was a sweet second chance story. Billie was a strong female character is this story and I really liked how the author created/shared her relationship with her family. Very endearing. Leroy is Billie’s past love, but does the past every really stay there? Their interactions always come heated, not necessarily in the best ways. The pink theme was cute and just the right mix to give the story a bit of girly fun. Overall, a great holiday themed romance.

I love this vampire story that is full of action and romance. This is my first book by this author and I will be going back for more. I loved how I was pulled right into the story and felt part of it. This is a story about Theodora. She has been thrown into a situation where she finds herself life mates to her husbands boss. How will she handle this on top of everything else that has happened? These are creative and well written characters that kept me reading until the end. A must read story!

This is a military-new adult romance story that I enjoyed from beginning to end. This story is well written and the characters are true to life. This is a story about two different people who are in need of healing. What will happen when their paths cross? Will they find more than they realize and maybe even some healing in the process? This story took me on an emotional roller coaster ride of various emotions that I highly recommend reading.
I was hooked as soon as I started reading this story. This book is definitely full of emotions, drama, secrets, action, and love. This is Damian and Jenn’s story and a very intriguing one. This book is a prequel to Primogenito and I really enjoyed reading that one so I was very excited when I got my hands on this one. The author does an exceptional job bringing you into the story with her attention to detail and wonderful storytelling. There are definitely some dark intense moments in this book. I don’t want to give anything away so I will just say this book is intense and has some plot twists and wonderful characters. I highly recommend this book.

Awakening of a Soul Keeper is the prequel to the Soul Keeper Series by Brienne Dubh. This paranormal/fantasy romance is rife to test your limits as the story unfolds full of vampires. The story opens in a simple manner, taking the trail that all relationships need work to remain successful. Then, the shift occurs and what you thought, is definitely not what you expected. Brienne Dubh has taken a different spin on vampires and their interactions with their own kind, and others. The way the author tackles the back history was expertly laid into the story. Theodora’s life has just spun on its axis. Her character has been thrust in so many directions it’s amazing how strong she comes across. Lyzander is formidable and meticulous down to his core. He has boundaries and they way he lays them out – just, wow! There is something stirring and it’s going to be big. This story does end on a cliffhanger as it’s the prequel to the series. Excited anticipation until the next book comes!

Full Glasses and Burju Shoes By: Blake Blessing 5 out of 5 stars
The story Full Glasses and Burju Shoes by Blake Blessing is a wonderful romance book that I loved reading. It hooked me in from the beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. I found myself turning pages to find out what happens next. I loved reading about the characters of Perrin Michaels and Emiliano Espocito. Perrin is a young woman who you could call impulsive and obsessive. I really loved her character because she is full of life and upbeat. She has a kind heart and is a caring person. Emiliano is a war vet and feels that he is broken. He is a man that doesn’t feel that he fits in anymore and is having a hard time adjusting. These two have an attraction to each other and he feels a pull towards her. He has felt more alive since meeting her. They have chemistry together and feel a desire for one another. What does the future hold for Perrin and Emiliano? Will they learn to trust each other? Will they begin to heal each other? Will they find happiness together? Read this story to find out. This is a book in which the characters go through many different emotions and face different situations in their lives. I could empathize with them and found my emotions going up and down with theirs. There are heartbreaking moments and also heartwarming ones as well. I found myself caring for both Perrin and Emiliano with each chapter that I read, and I was rooting for them to find happiness. I also enjoyed reading about the part that the additional characters played in the story and how they interacted with Perrin and Emiliano. The bantering back and forth between characters had me with a smile on my face. There are also serious moments that make you think. This is a story that I found myself thinking about even after I had finished reading it. Highly recommended.

Awakening Of A Soul Keeper: Prequel To The Soul Keeper Series By: Brienne Dubh 5 out of 5 stars
The story Awakening Of A Soul Keeper: Prequel To The Soul Keeper Series by Brienne Dubh is a romantic fantasy book that I loved reading. It is a story that had me turning pages to find out what happens next. I love vampire stories and this one is an example of why. There is wonderful world building and once I started reading, I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the final page. I loved reading about the character of Theodora. She is someone that I found myself caring about what happened to her and empathizing with the situation she has found herself in. She is learning and experiencing things that she never believed possible and this does have her at times overwhelmed. Her emotions are conflicted as she deals with being the soul keeper of a vampire and also trying to hold on to her marriage. Lyzander is a vampire that must show no weakness. He has to be seen as strong and finding his soul keeper has put everything he is in jeopardy. The bond between them both is strong and unexpected. What does the future hold for both of them? Read this book to find out. This story is fast-paced, has action and danger. There are additional characters that are introduced, and you read about their part in the book and also their interactions with Theodora and Lyzander. This is a thrilling story that I would recommend reading.
