I loved this sweet Christmas novel that takes place in a small town. Billie and Leroy had been in love before she left to chase her dreams. She had hoped he would follow her but he never did. Things are different when she returns home after 5 years. While helping her pops in the shop she learns things that change everything. I really loved her character and the rekindled love and new love that take place in this novel. It is another great addition to the Christmas Kiss series.

This series has gotten better with each book. This story is super sad because everyone losses so much. All the death just doesn’t seem necessary. Revenge is ugly but presents itself as this wonderful thing that will make you feel better. Hale is in that dark space and there is no out for him. He truly didn’t know how to go on. Wren was a little useless to me. I don’t understand her character. I love stories about magic. It’s a world of infinite possibilities. I also love sweets. I was at the edge of my bed reading the last few chapters waiting for the end. I was shocked and saddened by all that transpired. Let’s hope the last book gives us an HEA.
A Pink Christmas Kiss was a good 4 star read and the third book in the Christmas Kiss series.
Billie has recently returned home to help keep the family business up and running. It was just what she needed to bring her home. While she was in New York she was confused as to why Leroy, someone she loved very much never followed her.
You can’t love someone as much as I loved Leroy and just stop. I think I’ll always care, no matter what happens or how much time passes.
Now that she has returned can she reunite with Leroy or has he moved on? The first couple of times that Billie sees Leroy it doesn’t go very well. More like open mouth insert foot. Billie also finds out why Leroy never left town, it helps her understand a little more about why he stayed.
Can Billie and Leroy find each other again after so many years? Can they get a HEA?
There is so much more to this Christmas read. You can feel the love coming off the pages between these two. I really liked Billie, she was a strong hard working woman who also had a stubborn streak. Leroy is great, he will capture your heart right away. We get romance, LOL moments and so much more. All of the secondary characters were great. Overall this was a fun read and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

A Tangy Christmas Kiss is the second book in Allyson R Abbott’s Christmas Kiss series. All these stories are standalones so you can pick them up in any order – it is the Christmas and Kisses that they have as the common element! I love the way Allyson spins the story … she is warm and you feel invited into the story and it is so easy to briefly close your eyes and picture it all, smell it all, and hear it all … All the stories are perfect for holidays, they leave you starry eyed and feeling warm and fuzzy! A Tangy Christmas Kiss is the story of love finding a way whether you can speak to each other or not, language barrier cannot stop what is to happen! Melanie had less than 12 hours to pack her bags and fly to Spain to housesit for her aunt while she is in hospital and you can imagine that everything happening at such a short notice, everything that can go wrong, will do so! Fisher of Men (Book 1) After some bad relationships and with Will breaking her heart in such a way that she didn’t know how she was going to recover, Leah decided that she was going to let God guide the man to her that she should be with. She also knew this wouldn’t happen until God knew she was ready for it. Leah works at the Pearl Resort as she describes her work role as keeping guests and staff happy. One of Leah’s main roles is to help guests organize their functions and to ensure that all guests can have a room booked for that night. She also ensures that the guests have everything they ask for to make sure their functions go off without a hitch. Leah gets a call from her boss Barry to say they are a bar tender down for tonight’s function and asks if she can help. Having never attended bar before she has a few nervous moments. Little does Leah know that tonight’s function is a group of swingers who raise money for charities in the area. As the function starts Leah serves what she thinks is a handsome man with a gorgeous smile. It’s this handsome man that tells Leah that everyone at this function are swingers. During their conversation she finds out this man’s name is Chris, but he goes by the name of Cap by his friends. Leah asks why Cap and he tells her it’s because he is a captain of a fishing boat. Leah can’t get Cap out of her mind and questions if God is sending her a swinger as her ideal partner. Walking her dog Glory on the beach Leah bumps into Cap while he is walking his dog Keeper. Cap asks Leah if she would like to go for a coffee, but she makes the excuse that she must go back to work. After all what future could she have with a swinger? And as fisherman and swinger what is it that he could possibly offer her?
The Catch (Book 2) The Catch is book two in the Eastern Shore Swingers series by Phoebe Alexander. The catch can be read as a standalone quite easily. Keeping in mind this series is not suited for younger readers. As with book one book will also keep you wanting to turn the page to see what the main characters are getting up to. The Catch is centered around Paisley and Calvin. I loved their story and how they protective of each other. You will be surprised just how much depth the characters have considering the subject of the book. Paisley avoids relationships, and this is why I loved how Calvin and Paisley had such a good connection. Is there room in her life to love Calvin? Calvin needs to show Paisley that they do have a future, but how is he going to do this with her need to avoid relationships?
Siren Call (Book 3) Siren Call is the third instalment in the Eastern Shore Swingers series by Phoebe. Luckily this book can be read as a standalone and the storyline is very easy to follow. I wasn’t real sure about this book as I have never read a female/female romance before. But let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the story. There are quite a lot of sex scenes in this book but in true Phoebe style she has written the parts very well. As you can guess this is not your normal romance story, and by normal, I mean male/female. The book also has swingers, lesbian and bi sexual storylines, so if you aren’t into this type of reading don’t read the book, but I can tell you if you don’t read it you are going to miss out on a wonderfully written book. It an absolute hot read, so go get the series and I hope you enjoy it as I have. Thank you Phoebe for such a wonderful series.

A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R Abbott was not one of my favorites but I do not think that the was bad. It’s just a personal preference I guess and the book was well written.
Mel has to change her plans and go spend time In Spain to help out at her Aunt Rosa’s house. It turns out to be a lot more then just house sitting. The book was busy and kept me interested for the most part. There was a language barrier between Mel and a friend she makes and the book has the male character speaking Spanish and Mel trying to understand it and it was just a bit annoying in my personal opinion. With that being said, I did like storyline and do enjoy this authors writing.

The Moon in Her Eye’s: a witch’s tale by Nikki Broadwell is a paranormal mystery that has romance, drama and fantasy. It takes you on a journey that keeps you reading to the end. Emeline is a witch, who can travel through time. because of this, it causes her to realize the timelines are mixed up. What will happen if she tries to fix them?
Nikki Broadwell’s writing pulls you in from the first page right through to the last page. It is engaging, flows and descriptive–that you feel like you are right there with the characters. The characters are well developed, strong and very believable. I definitely recommend The Moon in Her Eyes!

Reckless was a great 5 star read We get four great novella’s from four authors. Some I was familiar with and others were new to me. All of these stories pulled me right in.
Layla’s Chance (Mika Jolie) This was a great rocker read. Layla decides to go on an impromptu trip to Martha’s Vineyard where she meets Chance. She has no idea who he is until after they have a hot and steamy evening. When she learns the truth will she stick around? These two had such a connection, I loved it. I really liked Layla and Chance and I would love to see more from them.
Dirty Martinis (P.M. Carson) Rachel and Drew met on a dating website. They both have the same type of job that takes them all over the place. They do a lot of sexting and skyping. When they finally meet in person things take quite the emotional turn. Will meeting in person ruin what they had or can they get a HEA?
Into The Deep (Kylie Stewart) This was my favorite in the anthology. Older man younger woman. Gemma meets Grayson and they agree to one night only, but something between them causes them to want more. We also get some drama that could cause some issues for them. I loved Grayson, what a dirty talking hot as heck man. I want to see more from these two.
The Spy Who Kissed Me (Sharla Lovelace) Ava is a lawyer who has worked her butt off to be a partner. When she is asked to deliver a package in person she agrees, while at the airport she discovers some news that makes her change her destination. Dominic is an ex CIA agent who is following Ava, she has something he wants. He quickly discovers there is a big attraction between them. They do eventually have some steamy moments. Will Dominic get what he’s looking for? Can they have a HEA? This is a thrilling read with some danger as well.
All of these stories had great characters that you connect with instantly. They all had their own characteristics and I had some LOL moments. We get some steamy moments as well. This is a great mix of stories. Thank you to Mika Jolie, Kylie Stewart, P.M. Carson, Sharla Lovelace for giving me four great stories to read. Loved them and look forward to reading more from all of you.

This is a tough read for me. I really wanted to like it. The story is a good one and I like the theme running through it. McDougal has the wondrous ability and eases most people. He is sneaky in how he get under your defenses. Then you realize how great of a guy he is. Jackson, who I thought was a troubled youth, was really a good guy who surprised me more than once. He has teenage struggles as well as life struggles. The storyline moved forward slowly at times (all song titles) and other times moved along at a good pace.
This is a first time author for me. As previously stated I really struggled with this story keeping my interest. Probably since this is mostly narrative (thinking inside their heads) and bits of dialogue. I am a fan of more dialogue with active movement. This story was good the characters really grew on me as I read.

This is the second book in the Christmas kiss series and can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed reading the funny antics, sweet romance and so much more. Mel is a wonderful character that is having a crazy and rough time traveling to Spain to house sit for her aunt. We can all relate to the craziness of traveling that’s for sure and it’s made more difficult for Mel with the language barrier. Language barrier or not when a hot stranger offers help you cant help but swoon a little. This story definitely has the magic of Christmas in it. This story is a fun and sweet read that should not be missed. I highly recommend this book.

The Moon in Her Eyes: A Witches Tale by Nikki Broadwell is a unique and interesting story of a witch whole travels through time and the consequences she faces from doing so. This book is part of a series although the books do not have to be read in order. But it is a bit unclear from the titles that this is the case. This book is absolutely incredible. I knew from the description that I would be taken on such a journey but I could not have imagined just what that journey would consist of. The story was rich and detailed, making it so easy to envisage what was happening. The characters were creative and relatable, which is impressive when the author is writing about a witch from the 1600’s!! This author thoroughly grabs your attention and holds you captive all the way through the book. She sets the pace well and develops the story with ease. This is a brilliant book and one I would highly recommend.

This was a nice change from what I normally read. Not all the topics or happenings in this story were the easiest to read but life as a young adult in these times isn’t easy so it was pretty real and spot on in most parts.
This is my first read by this author and I sincerely enjoyed the style of writing. I don’t normally enjoy books where there’s more inner thoughts written then actual dialogue but in a lot of ways this one worked and with the way the world is today, where we feel like we are going backwards instead of forward this book fit right in.
I will definitely be watching for more by this author and I would recommend reading this story!

Wowzer what a novel i was so blown away i enjoyed every second i honestly didn’t think the series could get any better but boy was i wrong! It made my emotions go all over the place one minute I’m so happy and all smiles like I’ve had a coat hanger in my mouth the next I’m holding back the tears and anger. It’s filled with fun, romance, suspense, mystery, betrayal plus so much more! I can’t wait to read more from this author.
A great read about time. Emeline Chase is a witch who can travel through time. Her travels end her up in the 1620s to live with a native American tribe and fall in love with its leader, Samoset. But her abilities cause trouble and mess with time, altering events she knew . With the help of a coven, can she fix it before it’s too late? A great read. Well developed plot. Well developed characters like Emeline trusting her abilities while struggling with her feelings or Samoset trying to protect his people despite his feelings I loved the visual detail throughout the novel in the sense of nature with the forests in the past full of colour and animals. And the scenes with the fountain under the moon were perfectly written with a.sense of awe and wonder Or the magical and friendly sense of the coven house with the stars was a lovely touch The only issue I would raise is that it was sometimes hard to follow to which timeline the narrative was taking place . Perhaps a switch of perspective on Samoset or chapters with timeline names on could make this clearer. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars .

The Confectioner’s Truth is the third and final book in The Confectioner Chronicles by Claire Luana. I was both excited and sad to get my hands on this book- excited to continue the adventure, but then quite sad that this incredible journey has come to an end. I can honestly say that this series is one of my favourite discoveries of the year! Ms Luana has such a fantastic imagination- and her stories reflect her masterful storytelling abilities and superb creativity. This book/series is an exceptionally good fantasy, which has been intricately woven with action, adventure, danger, mystery, suspense, humour, fun, tension, drama, and so much more. I was on tenterhooks the whole way through, and I loved every minute. The story is a multi-layered delight, with spellbinding scene setting, vivid descriptions and exquisite world-building- which brought the whole story to life right before my eyes. I especially loved that we got to explore more of the ‘world’ in this book. The characters are so beautifully crafted- quite dynamic and multidimensional individuals who all added to the story. Again, as with the other ‘Confectioner Chronicles’, I was completely enthralled from beginning to end and I read it all in one sitting. All I can say is Bravo! Now I really can’t wait to see what Ms. Luana does next!

The Only is a 5 book boxed Set, and the complete series by Bree Kraemer. There is so much to love about this collection, from the wonderful characters, the beautiful writing, and the captivating stories. The first book in this series is how I got my introduction to Ms. Kraemer’s work, and I have followed her closely ever since. Reading this series has been a real pleasure- meeting these charming characters and following their journeys provided me with hours of wonderful reading. The stories aren’t very long, so each book doesn’t take endless hours to get through- each one could easily be read in one sitting. The books are all contemporary romances, and range from friends-to-lovers, holiday/office romance, falling for a friend’s brother, or falling for the boss. Each book follows one particular couple, but there are recurring characters who make appearance throughout each story, and who have their own book at some point in the series. The books can all be read as standalones, but as I have mentioned, the cast of characters are all so interesting and likeable, you will want to find out all about them by reading every book.

Surviving Eden is the first book in the Surviving series by Virginia Wine. It is a contemporary romance with a bit of a Taboo element in the form of doctor/patient, best friends’ daughter relationship- as well as some drama, great chemistry, interesting characters, and an intriguing plot. The way the story was told gave me a really great perspective of what was going on, what the characters were thinking and how they felt. Theo Grant is a highly respected and successful Psychiatrist who prides himself on being in control, at all times. He carries some issues from his past, and self-medicates with fast cars, women, and sex. His control will be put to the test when he is asked to take on his (recently deceased) friend’s daughter as a client, to help her deal with her grief. The sparks and chemistry are immediate, and Theo struggles to remain professional. What happens when their chemistry boils over? With his reputation and career at stake, what will he choose to do? I enjoyed reading Theo and Eden’s story and finding out what happens. I look forward to reading the other books in this series.

The Moon In Her Eyes is the second book in the Witch series. It isn’t specifically a cliffhanger, as the main story has a conclusion, but it does leave the story open to continue.
I really wanted to love this book, but the political aspects of it were not woven into the story in a way that made it flow. It came across as a soapbox rather than a story enhancement. The time travel and paranormal aspects were overshadowed by the challenge I had weeding through the politics.
I did like the historical aspects and the weaving of the time travel piece. And there were a pretty good variety of characters to get to know.

5 Star Rising Star By Susannah Nix is an Amazingly written story with wonderful characters that made you feel like you were right beside them.I felt the struggles they had .This is my first Book by this Author and It definitely wont be my last. Find out what happens with these two, Griffin is trying to break out of televison and on to the big screen .Alice is about to lose her job and have to find a new ace to live.Griffin asks her to dog sit after the one he had bailed. These two are definitely attracted to each other. Can they have a relationship with a HEA? I highly recommend reading this Book and I look forward to reading more from. This author.

This box set contains the first three books of the Eastern Shore Swingers series. One of the great things about this author is the inclusion of so many body positive and sex positive aspects into her stories. There are a lot of real-to-life struggles that keep the books relatable and engaging. Even though each story can be read as a standalone, it is great to read them back-to-back and this collection makes that easy. Side note, be sure to read the fourth book, Sailors Knot, when you finish this set! It does not disappoint.
Fisher of Men One of the things that kept me interested is probably the fact that I can relate to the internal struggle, both regarding faith and the emotional aspect, that Leah goes through as she begins to unravel the structure she has been taught is the truth and proper way of living. It is emotionally strenuous to find out things about yourself that go against what you’ve been taught is proper. Add to that the input of outside sources and you’ve got a recipe for drama and heartache.
The Catch The Catch has a different feel than the first book. This story is filled with suspense and a bit of mystery. It also has a different feel in the way the relationship plays out. I enjoyed the development of Paisley’s character and the contrast between the way she shaped herself as an adult and what she dealt with as a child. I also loved that this book is body positive!
Siren Call What I love about this book is that it shows the range of strength to vulnerability that women can have. It also shows the different ways that we deal with emotional trauma and how that affects our ability to communicate and relate to other people. And, as always, the author has the ability to convey alternative lifestyles with positivity while also showing the concerns associated with it. For instance, in this book one of Jessie’s concerns is being in a relationship with someone who is bi-sexual—the fear that she might not be enough for the other person. A real fear that comes up for many people. I think my favorite part of the whole story is Sirena’s scene with the sheriff…cracked me the heck up!
This is a delightful and fun Christmas romance story. I loved Kat and Dan, and how their story progressed. This is story is a funny and quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Allyson Abbott has created such a great group of holiday romances that I recommend to anyone! A Frothy Christmas Kiss is no exception.

OMG! This book! I am either laughing, grinning or shaking my head at every turn of the page! I loved how this started out..meeting the characters. Then how they meshed together…it felt very natural. I couldn’t help but enjoy Theo. He has such determination. To better himself and to date Hadley. His life goals. I love how “all in” he seems to be. How he easily reads her and he is just so….such an amazing character. Hadley Is a smart woman with surprising skills in all kinds of things. Her quirks are cute and her family is amazing. She was a joy to meet and get to know. I couldn’t picture a better match for Theo.
The author did a wonderful job describing the characters. I can easily picture them in my head. All their quirks and facial expressions. I didn’t mention earlier but their last names are perfect. Every detail was taken charge of in this story. I have many passages highlighted in here. There are just so many crazy fun times and sweet lovely moments.
I really can’t stress how enjoyable this book is. It is a delight to read and I am so glad I picked it up! I have read just about all of this authors books. This is my favorite by far and will be going on my re-read shelf. I will be highly recommending this book to friends/readers who love great characters, witty storylines and love smiling and laughing while reading.

Never Let Me Fall is the third book in the Fatal Dreams series by Abbie Roads. Although you can read this book as a standalone, I highly recommend you read the first two books in the series to get the full back story. This book had me hooked from the very first page. It is action packed with suspense and romance added in. Helen and Thomas are both strong but damaged people, and when they meet things click with them. The chemistry is instantaneous and palpable. This book left me with a book hangover, when I finished reading I found myself thinking about things that happened in it. I love books that bring out strong emotions and this book really fit that bill. I highly recommend this book, series and author.

A Pink Christmas Kiss is the third book in the Christmas Kiss Series by Allyson R. Abbott. All the books in this series are standalone, but I highly recommend you read the whole series because these book are just what you need to put you in the Christmas spirit. This book features Billie , who let her small town to move to New York City. She left behind her true love, thinking he would follow her to New York. Five long years later the big city was really wearing her down, when she got a call from her father asking her to come home and help with the family business. When she returns she finds that Leroy had his reasons for not following and a lack of communication between the two was a problem. This is a sweet Christmas love story. I loved the fast paced, easy flow of the story, and would recommend this book, series and author.

A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is a five star novel. I loved this book and all the twists and turns! When Mel learns she has to go to Spain, she is very confused and has no clue what she is going to do there. All she knows is her mom is insisting she go. She needs to go take care of her Aunt Rosa who is having surgery. After traveling for days, she is ready to just have a melt down and fly back to the states. Why is everything so hard? She meets a guy who decides to help her out even though they don’t speak the same language. She and then we guy have a lot of issues but can they make it work for a Christmas romance? Definitely not speaking the same language is difficult!

This book is definitely a seasonal must read! A Tangy Christmas Kiss is the second book in the Christmas Kiss Series by Allyson R. Abbott. This story follows Melanie “Mel” on her curious adventure to Spain. Mel’s mother calls her out of the blue to ask her to go to Spain to help her Aunt while she recovers from surgery. So basically anything that could go wrong on this trip happens. The upside to this is the sexy man that sat next to her on the plan. He decides to help her even though he doesn’t speak any English and she doesn’t speak any Spanish! All the while Mel doesn’t seem too concerned as to why her mother couldn’t go to Spain. But you have to read to find out why! So, basically this story is full of funny and quirky moments that keep you laughing and wondering what’s going to happen next. If this book doesn’t put you in the holiday spirit then I don’t know what will! Allyson has such a way with her books that the stories have so many unexpected twists that pull you in and have you on your toes wanting to see what’s going to happen next! This is such a sweet story that you really don’t want to put it down. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to see what kind of romantic adventure we take ourselves on! Again…this is a Christmas must read!

The Christmas Kiss series has really been a highlight of my Christmas season this year. I think one of the things that I have really enjoyed is that these novels really have embraced that wholesome and magical feeling that you get when you sit down and watch a Hallmark movie at Christmas with the family. For me I will be happy to share these next season with my pre-teen. I must say though ‘A Frothy Christmas Kiss’ may just have to be my favorite Christmas kiss yet. This one seems to be a bit more relatable for me, maybe that is why, probably the only one I would think my daughter would find more boring at a younger age level. Anywho, I must say I really hope to see more of the Christmas novels in the future from Allyson R. Abbott. I love all of her work that I have read, but her holiday stuff is just too darn perfect! ‘A Frothy Christmas Kiss’ is the story of Kat and Dan, so brew up a cup of your favorite joe and curl up with your favorite blankie. You will adore you time finding out how these two discover the magic of Christmas and love once again.

A Prickly Christmas Kiss is the first book in the Christmas Kiss series from Allyson R. Abbott. I have been reading these book out of order this season and they are not intertwining books. They are all freestanding novels. This one is just as wonderful for the holiday season as the others that I have enjoyed along the way. If you love adorable and heartwarming Christmas romances then this book is the perfect fireside read for you!
Emma Louise Fallon, ELF, yup her nickname is Elf lol is on a much needed getaway. Her supposed new boyfriend and her were supposed to be spending the perfect holidays together. That did not work out and so she has sworn off me and family for this holiday season. She recruits a friend for a getaway at a cabin in the woods. The last minute her friend can’t make it and she is left to fend for herself. Along the way lots of things go wrong, but everything is balanced with the spirit of Christmas, and the handsome Rudi. This is one you don’t want to miss, and while you are at is you might as well grab all four of them to devour before the season slips away!

Untamable by Jamie Schlosser is a standalone book and is a romantic comedy. I laughed and cried throughout the entire story that was highly entertaining. It was fun with lots of humour that kept you enthralled and not wanting it to stop. Jamie did a great job of writing the characters that seem so real, honest, charming and witty.
What Emery finds when he takes on his next project is nothing at all what he was expecting, in many ways. He wonders if he has bitten off more than he can chew when coming face to face with the problem.
Estelle needs help, there is no denying it and there is apparently only one man capable of taking on her problem.
Will Emery be able to assist the lovely Estelle and take care of her problem? Will he see more than the woman that needs help? Will Emery see more to this woman than meets the eye?
This is a sweet and hilarious read that you do not want to miss. Jamie is a very clever writer that has found the right mix. I look forward to her next book.
The Confectioner’s Truth (Confectioner Chronicles Book 3) by Claire Luana is a fantasy, thriller, romance story. It is also the last book in the Confectioner’s Chronicles series. Claire once again has woven her magic with the perfect blend of mystery and suspense, action and danger, romance and intrigue, heartache and love, humour and fun. It’s another page turner that is so engrossing and enthralling that it feels like it is over before it began. Wren is heartbroken and still reeling from the loss and betrayal of others. On the run, tired, scared, hurt and faced with her past all the while the political unrest continues and Wren wonders if she will ever have her family back and lead a normal life again. Once again it is a book that should be on everyone’s to read list.
