What She Lost and Found by M.L. Garcia is a very emotional story. Daniela has had her life torn apart and now she has to try to fight through it.
Daniela has experienced trauma that no one should ever have to deal with. She thinks that starting over in a new city and getting a fresh start may help. However, she realizes her past is holding her back. She doesn’t get close to people, she doesn’t trust anyone, especially men, and she doesn’t feel safe.
Due to some scenes being depicted fairly detailed, this book may not be suitable for some readers but the author does a good job balancing the “dark” parts of the book with more cheerful, light parts as well. I truly couldn’t put this book down. My heart ached for Daniela but I was glad to see her working through her issues and gaining meaningful relationships in her life. I absolutely recommend this book.

This is a young adult story that took me on an adventure and action that made it fun to read. This is about four young adults that find they are “The Chosen” and their mission is to save the Orbs before it is too late. Is it to big a task for them? They are great characters that bring the story to life and keep you reading. They are full of drama and emotion. It is a great start to the series, I can’t wait to see what happens next. I highly recommend this book.

I never hesitate to pick up this author’s books, there is always an adventure, humor, and lots of twists and turns, this book is no different. This story is about Vee who has just landed her dream job. Her life has had its ups and downs with her family and her bad choice in men. Now there is someone who is trying to kill her. Will she ever find a HEA that she so deserves? I enjoyed watching Vee grow throughout the story after all she has been through. I highly recommend this book.

Dancing Queen by Charlotte Roth was a sweet lighthearted read, that had me hook from the first chapter title. In a cheesy way, this book had me at hello.
Not my first read by this author, so I knew going in that this book was going to be well written, witty and fun. I was not disappointed in the least. This book tackles both spectrums of the body image issues. Too Skinny and too fat. As someone who is on their own weight loss journey, I know how hard using the word fat, can be. I connected deeply with Fiona, and the path she walked, and the path she chose to overcome.
I have to say, as fun and as lighthearted this book may have appeared, it got down to the nitty gritty, and shoned a much needed light on the people, that we as a society have considered “unworthy” or “undesirable”. Both Fiona’s and Stu’s backstories are riddled was pain, and mental scarring that have affected their adult life. This book strips away those layers, so we can see the people that lay underneath all that social negativity.
Both Fiona and Stu are phenomenal multi layered characters. I loved both their personalities, and their blunt, straightforwardness to life. Fiona may have called herself a pleaser, but I sided with her BF Diane. Her personality shone bright, and her kind, no BS heart, stole the show. In my eyes, her and Stu where never the underdogs. Stu on the other hand, though came across as quiet and reserved, soon became a quick favourite. He isn’t anything but, and frankly, if the author chose, could have him narrated this whole book, and carried the story on his own. Have two such powerhouse characters come together for a common goal, was something I tell you.
And this is where I leave you, cause I might be here forever telling you how much I love and thoroughly enjoyed this unique, fresh book. About real people, with real problems, that learned how to overcome them, in a real life way. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will fall head over heels for not only this book, but for Stu and Fiona.

I’ve read this author’s short stories before. Her shorts are light and fluffy and very uncomplicated reads. I chose this book purely on the author’s name and did not read the blurb before cracking the binding. It was very different from the stories I’ve read from her before.
This is a story that switches between past (which reminded me of many of my favorite childhood things) and present and always in the same “voice”. This story is basically told from a single point of view. We shall call her “little sister” (because I don’t think we ever really learn her name). The story is full of mysteries and suspense and lots of twists and turns. As I was reading, I thought I knew where this story was going but that was not the case at all. It held my interest but at times I was very confused and a little disinterested. “Little Sister” is very haunted by the past and she bugged me a bit. I was very surprised by some of her actions.
This was an interesting story but the ending… oh that ending. I have questions!! I wonder if there is a crossover story that would answer these questions. I shall go investigate.

Once again I am reading a series out of order but wow it didn’t make any difference. I really was drawn into this book from the get go. The author has a very unique style and it just grabs the reader. The book is full of drama and action. I really found myself drawn to the characters.
I really found myself going through the emotions with Summer as she deals with her husband Jerry’s drama and tries to figure out the case of the missing books. I really found myself drawn to Summer and routing for things to go well for her. The drama surrounding the books and the way things play out in this book really just had me at the edge of my chair wanting to see what would happen next. I really do look forward to delving more into this series and this author.

Seraphina’s Vengeance was amazing and action packed. After she sees her family again for the first time in a year her best friend Amanda is taken. This third book explores Seraphina’s character as she deals with her emotions while searching for her. She explores both the good and bad within herself and bonds grow stronger while others dissipate. I loved this book even if I was frustrated with the main character for a bit. For me I dealt with more emotions while reading this book than I did with the first two books of this series. I am excited to see what happens in the next novel.

I was honestly a little off put by the beginning of this book. This series has been immensely enjoyable to me so I figured it would get better. And it did. A bit. This chapter in the Bayou Devils MC book will not be for everyone and that’s ok. Kady and Noah have been together forever but I wasn’t fond of either of them being equated to the other person’s property. It’s not sexy and that feeling belonging can be described so much better. Noah’s work with the club has been one of the only things to drive any sort of wedge between the happy couple. He promises this one last job will be enough for them to live the rest of their lives comfortably and like a good hearted cop one week away from retirement, something bad happens on that last job. Noah is sent to prison and hears nothing from Kady for seven long years. His only thought is getting out and finding her. When he finally does, everything is different. He keeps pushing Kady for information and completely ignores her clear feelings. Spoilers abound if I continue on this thread of thought so I’ll stop. This was a decent read but Noah and Kady are far from my favorite characters in this series.

Toni Anderson is a new author for me, and what a great book to get introduced by. A Cold Dark Place is book 1 in the Cold Justice series, and OMG! What an incredible read. This book was everything and more. I was captivated from just reading the synopsis and then diving into this book it drew me in, even more, I was completely and utterly entranced with this read. This read was action-packed, it had twists and turns, it had danger it was a thriller and suspenseful from the start to finish. I was left on the edge of my seat numerous times and left reeling.
The characters in this read were real, and their feeling and emotions were raw, strong and powerful to the point every emotion I could feel felt as though I was there alongside the characters. These characters bring an extra level of brilliance to this read, with incredible chemistry between the two its a story definitely not to be missed!
I cannot wait to see what else comes to this series, and what else this author can bring, she will definitely be on my go-to author list after this read! What an incredible book that should not be missed!

The Inheritance: The Story of an Unlikely Submissive by a India Kells is a short story that is so hot and steamy that you will be left thinking about it long after you have finished reading it. For a short story this book is absolutely packed full of detail. The characters and the overall storyline are so well developed that it honestly felt like I was immersed in a full length novel. India Kells in one author that really knows how to captivate your attention. No matter which book of hers I read I always enjoy it immensely. This book is definitely worth your time.

The Inheritance is a short and spicy read with way more emotion than I thought. Usually I read one of these books to completely escape into another world so I was surprised by myself that I was tearing up and the ending. This may be a short story but is packed full of everything you would want in a book. The characters are fully realized in this book, it’s not just about the sexiness, there is a magical story that unfolds too. There are some books in this genre that give it a bad name, but thankfully this is not one of them.

Happily. Ever After? Is the sixth book in The Italian Saga Series by Gaia B. Amman. The story, although slow and lagging in some parts, turned out to be quite a good read. At the core is a look at what it takes to make a relationship work- it’s about human nature, attraction, how sometimes in the pursuit of love we may overlook things, and complexities- but there is also a fun adventure side to the story with vivid images of Italy, riding a scooter, banter between friends, research/scientific studies, humorous exchanges and scenes…. and much more. The whole book, from storyline, scene setting, and well-rounded characters was entirely believable and relatable. A great addition to the rest of the series!

Blade’s Edge is the tenth book in Satan’s Devils MC Series by Manda Mellett. Confession time, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this story, because I wasn’t sure I would ‘like’ Blade once I got to really ‘know’ him. Did he intrigue me, for sure… But as the enforcer of Satan’s Devils I was worried that he wouldn’t have enough ‘depth’ to his character- that he may be too ridged and unemotional for me to really connect with his character. I was hoping that was not the case, but the doubt was there. But I do love Ms. Mellett’s books, so I crossed my fingers and dove in….. and now I am so glad that I did! As I should have expected, Ms. Mellett didn’t let me down- because the story, Blade, and Tash- were perfect (oh, and not to mention Tommy! You have to meet Tommy!!!). This story, and the characters were so well developed, and so much deeper than even some of the previous books, or their leading cast. This book may have just taken the top spot as my favourite of them all. Ms. Mellett didn’t rest on her laurels, she really gave this story an edge and identity all its own. Still identifiable as part of the series, but with a flavour all its own. Able to hold its own amongst some very impressive team mates- that’s the mark of a great author. Even though this is the tenth book in the series, it can be read as a standalone- and not feel like you are ‘lost’ or missing out on anything. But after reading this one, you will want to go back and read the other books too. If you love a really well written, riveting MC story- with complex, flawed, quirky, and endearing characters, and an original plot- then this is definitely the book for you. Be warned though, you may discover that one of Ms. Mellett’s addictive books may not be enough! What will she do next? I can’t wait!

Blade’s Edge is the tenth book in the Satan’s Devils MC series. It can be read as a standalone as Tash and Blade’s story is completed. The epilogue does provide a lead in to a story involving another character. If you want more background info on other characters mentioned in the story, read the previous books in the series. Although, I would recommend that anyway because this series is freaking awesome!
Once again, I have been taken in by this author. Her stories are captivating and this one is no exception. The characters come to life on the page (or Kindle screen in this case) and the story engages a wide array of emotions. I love the strength of Tash’s character and how it is the perfect match to challenge Blade’s beliefs about life and about women.
One of the things I appreciate about this series as a whole is that the real-life issues the characters experience is well researched and thought out. That is part of what sets this series apart from other MC related books.

If the Shoe Fits… (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 3) By Bea Stevens Rated 5 stars
Another great book in this series! Pretty sure this is my new favorite in the series. This is well written, easy to follow along and has an amazing lead character. This story is interwoven very well. I spend as much time as Libby trying to figure things out.
Libby is a undeveloped sleuth with a passion for fashion. She does seem to attract trouble like a moth to a flame. But that’s what makes this so good and fun to read. I really love how exuberant Libby is…well over most things but especially when she see James. She is so happy to see him and be enveloped in his arms for a Big Ol Hug. I can feel all her feelings coming off the pages at me. Her happy go lucky attitude makes me read this with a smile or a “Oh” on my face.
We see quite a few characters from her previous books. They all help or hinder Libby but to hang out with them is like coming home. Her family is wonderful. Her Dad and Mom are so funny just how her parents should be. I can see where Libby gets her attitude from. I loved how Zak referred to his mother and how he tried to convince Libby she was a real alien (Mothership) haha! Her family and friends all fit together perfectly.
This is my third book in this series and I can not wait for more.

If The Shoe Fits is the 3rd book in the Liberty Lawrence series by Bea Stevens. Each book in this series can be read as a stand-alone. I started from book 2 and didn’t have any problem in understanding the books. I do however now have the first book on my kindle so I can see how this fab series started. Liberty (Libby) is still a funny, quirky character who seems to get into trouble at work without meaning to. Her character is further developed in this book and you can’t help but love her, even with all her faults. Living the dream now, Libby finally has her ideal job in the fashion section of the newspaper, but will it be all she hoped for? Well, in true Libby fashion there are quite a few bumps along the ride. Would we have expected anything less of her? With a new boss who doesn’t like her and her and some very poor quality clothing in the new range she’s been asked to work on, how will Libby cope?

This is my second book by this author and I loved it as much as I did the first.
The storyline was unique and this author has a way of hooking you at page 1 and not letting go even after the last page. Daniela’s story was heartbreaking and watching her close off and live her life trying to deal with her past was something that was written in a way I actually was feeling all the emotions that she dealt with on a daily basis, which gave me the understanding of where she was at in her life.
Walking with her on this journey and meeting new people and trying to find a way to trust again was just one of the reasons this is such a beautiful story. I found myself seeing both sides of some of her predicament and I wanted to crawl through my kindle a few times so that I could scream at her and nudge her in certain directions. I was so very proud of her though as things started happening and the story started really unfolding, the strength she had gained along the way kept her from crawling back into the dark, which is what I was afraid would happen. She still made some decisions that ticked me off, but somehow this author wrote from inside of Daniela’s head making it all make sense.
I loved almost all of the characters in this story, and even the ones I didn’t, I loved disliking them.
I love this authors writing style, I love how she can keep my interest and thought about the story every minute even when I had to do things in my real life like adulting 🙂 I will read anything this author writes and can’t wait for more, I loved loved loved the extended epilogues as well.

Dig Two Graves is book one in the Solomon Gray series by Keith Dixon. I have not read this author’s work before, and boy was I missing out!! I cannot remember the last time I read a crime thriller, and I now remember why I love this genre.
Solomon Gray has had an incredibly chaotic and traumatic life. Unimaginable horror becomes his constant companion. Horror that would bring most men to their knees. Not Gray. He carries scars, but keeps them hidden well. His endurance is unfathomable, his courage immeasurable. He is driven to discover the truth and solve murder mysteries. He relentlessly seeks justice and makes no apologies if he upsets people along the way. The victims don’t have a voice anymore, so he won’t stop until their stories have endings.
I admired this character immensely. His struggles were brutal and heartfelt. I was totally taken with his story and was quite shocked at how much this book touched me. I have not read a book that wasn’t a romance for years, and I am so glad I got back into crime thrillers with this title. Suspense that was total intense anticipation. A master storyteller is Keith Dixon. 5 stars.

Claimed Royalty is book one in the Crowned and Claimed series by Betty Shreffler. This author gets to me every time. I get lulled into the story and stay blissfully immersed until the very last word. I get lost in this style of writing and the clever way the story was delivered was incredible. Fantasy at it’s finest.
The Queen has a dilemma. She has so many suitors, and her heart wants none. Age honoured tradition forces her to consider these men, while choosing one seems an impossible task. The author takes the reader on an anxious and exciting adventure. One where I fell for the Queen and her strong personality, her love for the taboo, and her tenacity.

Their story is an emotional roller coaster with lots of ups and downs but it kept me engaged until the end. Their relationship is love but also conflict. Great chemistry! I highly recommend reading their story.

Characters bring heat, action and made the story real. I for one can’t wait to see what comes next for this group. I highly recommend reading this book.

The Protector: Mac is book one in the Cover Six Security Series by Lisa B. Kamps. This was an interesting story the push and pull between Mac and TR is addicting. He wants her so bad but hold himself back, when he can, until he can’t anymore. At least once. This is a drama filled story with plenty to keep you wanting more as the story progresses. Mac is an intense character with a past that give him good reason to be the way he is. TR is a little calmer and helps round him out, when he allows it. But what happens when a threat comes out of both of them, can Mac protect her or will he be too late, again.

Wtf, God?: Understanding God in the Midst of Transition Michelle N. Onuorah 4 out of 5 stars
I wouldn’t necessarily call myself religious and there are times I’m not even sure I’m spiritual so it may come as a surprise that this book had me completely drawn to it the moment I stumbled across it. Michelle N. Onuorah delivered a fantastic story about faith, triumph and life at the just the right time in my own. I’ve recently been trying to adopt the mindset that everyone I meet has their own set of troubles and life tests and it isn’t my job or business to compare or judge what is hard for others. From the unapologetic forward of this book to the very end, Michelle N. Onuorah had my ear. I really enjoyed this short, inspirational read.

It took Alex a while to get where he was meant to be but the wait I say was worth it. I love reading books where people find their place. It’s almost as if your not whole until you find that broken piece. I really like Penny and Payton. Both women really cared for Alex and showed a level of understanding that most women can’t even imagine. I really enjoy books by this author. They are both sad and touching. You get to feel so many emotions and experience what the characters do. It reads like your listening to this person face to face. It made it more relatable to me. Reviews by @gguerrero89

Broken Sand Dollar by JD Boudreaux is book three of The Sand Dollar Series. To better understand the events that take place in this book, I highly suggest reading book one and two first.
This series spans over years of Alex’s life. The author effortlessly weaves together present tense with flashbacks of Alex’s past. When you read the first two books you start to get an idea of how you think the third book will go but then it takes you on a completely different journey. Alex’s journey self reflection, coupled with the therapy he does, teaches him a lot about himself.
This book was very well written. I enjoyed seeing the differences in all the characters and how they reacted to different experiences. I was hooked as soon as I started reading this book. It was a great conclusion to the series!
