Out of the Shadows by Theresa Sederholt is an emotionally charged, incredible story that will complete devour you. I didn’t really know anything about this book before I started reading it. I have read a few books by this author before so know enough to assume it would be good. I was not prepared for the emotions that would be thrown at me and how much I would be captivated by them. This is a fantastic story, and one that I am glad we are being told. It has a uniqueness that isn’t often found in books of this genre. It has been so well written. You cannot help but connect with the MC and his son. My heart bled for them throughout this book and all o wanted was for them to find their way. This is an amazing book and easily my favourite by this author so far.

Not the Typical read for me, I was pleasantly surprised how this book grabbed my attention and held it. Meredith Hart created great characters in this story and I enjoyed the mixture of romance and action throughout the pages. I enjoyed the Fantasy style writing I’m very picky when it comes to this genre but wow did Meredith really write a great one. I look forward to reading more from her.

The Flame and The Blade (Flame and Blade Series) by Meredith Hart. This is the story of Vethe Scarvian who is a direct descendant of the man who almost destroyed humanity. Vethe has no use for his family’s once noble history. His only goal in life is to get his sister into Citadel. Lyria Guardia let her family down 3 years ago even though she is trained to lead missions to find and recover items. After the man she had built her life around was found by Lyria with someone else she is left heartbroken. She leaves the Adventurer’s Guild and returns to the Guard’s Guild that her family has run forever. The Guard’s Guild is what leads Lyria to Vethe in search of a missing contract and all Lyria cares about is the contract but having to deal with Vethe might drive her insane. While working together their feelings change toward one another and they start to really care about each other. Will there relationship work out or will the chaos of everything be the end of them?

I sincerely enjoyed this story. This is my first read by Thia Finn and now I’m left asking myself Why? She was able to take a book about a rockstar and make me love it. I really don’t like rockstar romances..that is until this book.
From the character development to the dialogue with the characters I was pulled in immediately and found myself not being able to put the book down. The way the story flowed made it also go faster than I expected and before I knew it I was done. She writes in a way that makes you think you know what’s going to happen and you even keep waiting for it to happen and in the meantime it goes a totally different way. That’s my favorite part about reading!
I loved the friendships in this story and the family aspects as well. I am so hoping there is a book about Adam…seems there is a story there and I’m pretty sure all in the band have stories to tell and I will be reading them all if this author blesses us with them.
I highly recommend reading this book, for me I love finding new authors especially when I find one I can’t wait to read more from.

Great book by Thia Finn. I really enjoyed the aspect of the characters being in a band. It always makes for a fun read, with some twists and turns because of the lifestyle those characters lead. Alex being the lead guitarist in the band Trace has all of the temptations of someone in the spotlight and famous, so how he would remember one girl, one kiss, one night after a show is beyond me. Emmy, bless her heart, thinks after her first kiss, and with a rock star, she is in love makes me cringe. When they meet years later and he doesn’t remember her, of course my heart breaks for her, but I also am thinking how naive she is and is pleased to see her grow into a stronger woman. The storyline is wonderful. I loved following along with Emmy and Alex to see where their story would end, if it would end with them together or just in heartbreak and mess. The secondary characters were awesome. Adam, Alex’s brother and Rylee, Emmy’s best friend are nicely written in, and wouldn’t mind seeing a story about each of them. Overall would 10 out of 10 recommend this book, it is filled with drama, romance and music making for a wild journey.

The words flowed like music right off the page. My artist’s soul recognized the artistic heart behind this story immediately. There is a certain cadence to this story that somehow reaches deeply and resonates loudly. I thoroughly enjoyed my first encounter with Macha and hope to read more from this author. Excellent book!
Before the Second Show by Thia Finn 4 of 5 Stars Before the Second Show is a rock star, second chance romance between Emmy and Alex. Alex is the rock star guitarist and he and Emmy meet and fall in love at sixteen when she sneaks out to see him at a gig and they meet backstage but Alex soon has to move on as he has more gigs to play. Emmy is aware that falling in love with a rock star and at sixteen is not a good plan and she tries to forget her encounter with the sexy guitarist. Five years later Emmy is happily in a relationship with Marcus and works as a realtor. Marcus who is working with Alex and his band, and has no idea that Emmy has a past with Alex recommends Emmy when Alex and brother Adam need a realtor. Emmy is then annoyed when Alex seems to have no memory oh her and shows no recognition, however although he does not remember her he does feel a pull towards Emmy and finds her intriguing. Emmy has also never forgotten Alex Trace and has never really felt the same chemistry with anyone else. Fate brings the two back together and a change in circumstances in Alex’s life brings the two closer together and makes Alex realise what and who he really wants. I’m not usually a rock star romance fan but I loved this book by Thia Finn and fell in love with her diverse range of characters. I was cheering Emmy on as a giggly sixteen year old with her first crush, sneaking out to a gig and falling in love with sexy Alex Trace and was fascinated by her change through the years to a more mature women, with a good job and stable relationship but who still had a bit of the sixteen year old Emmy in her when it came to her feelings for Alex, her first love. Rock star and rock god guitarist Alex was a fantastic character, obviously good looking and a typical young man who has had women throwing themselves at him as he toured the world with his band. I enjoyed seeing how the relationship between Emmy and Alex developed especially after fate seems to bring them back together and give them a second chance at love. I found the dynamic between the two and how it changed from their first encounter was very realistic. The secondary characters, such as Alex’s brother Adam and the rest of his band were all fascinating characters in their own right and I would have liked to have seen them have their own stories but this is a stand alone book. A complex rock star, second chance romantic story with a twist and with a great range of characters and a storyline that kept me hooked from page one until the last page, I definitely recommend this book.

In Other Words is the first book in the Boothbay Harbor Series by Pamela Fernandes. Fernandes has a great eye when it comes to details in her stories. I could imagine where she has the setting for her book. She also paints a beautiful picture of her characters. I have to say that this story was a roller coaster ride of emotions for me.Trish has been betrayed by her boyfriend that is now dating her book. It is not like Trish did not already have issues from her childhood being adopted from Korea. She has made some bad decisions with her love life. Will Trish get over her ex-boyfriend? Can Trish move on with her new neighbor who is the local chef on the island? Only time will tell.

The more I read the works of this author, the more I enjoy her writing, her characters, and the stories she creates in every series. She keeps your mind racing with scenes that have your mind traveling where the characters, getting in their minds, and being seduced by them just as much as their counterparts. In the start of this series, the opposites attracts story gets you more excited for the love between Dr. S. Lynde and St. J. McAllister. This book is the perfect thing to snuggle up when you’re alone and especially in the Winter time like it is now to take you to the mountains with the characters in snugly environment helps you feel apart of the story as your imagination wonders through this epic story.

Around Midnight by Zarina Macha was a unique and fun read. Megan was a fascinating character. She was well thought out. I loved her personality and creativity. I also enjoyed how she broke out of her norm to see Vince. He was also an interesting and fascinating character. I love reading about the different interactions between the two. This was a great novel and I loved how easily the story flowed from beginning to end. I enjoyed this book.

I have absolutely no bad remarks when it comes to novel it’s absolutely perfect in every way! I was pulled in right from the get go I just couldn’t pull myself away from the story. Phoebe has such a way of writing that you feel like you right there with the character’s which makes the read even more extraordinary. I love nothing more when reading a brilliant book being left wanting more or even wanting to reread the story all over again. Exceptional story from an amazing author I would also recommend reading mountain wanted first.

In Other Words (Boothbay Harbor Book 1) by Pamela Q. Fernandes 5 of 5 Stars Pianist Trish Holt, lives in Maine in picturesque Boothbay Harbor. Trish was adopted from Korea as a child and still suffers with abandonment issues and finds it stressful trying to fit into the ‘All American’ stereotype. Following the betrayal of both her long term partner and her manger, who she discovers are having an affair, Trish’s old issues surface and she blames her self for not being the perfect ‘All American’ girlfriend. Moving to a new house still feeling bitter but wanting to move on Trish meets new neighbour and potential love interest Michael Quentin, a local chef who’s restaurant she plays a gig at. Although Michael ‘romances’ Trish he has his own childhood issues and a dark family past which his holding him back. Michael is also helping his widowed sister to bring up his niece Hannah and is not particularly looking for a long term relationship where else Trish is looking for love and commitment. This was a really emotional read and a romance which was a case of opposites attract. The author transports you into the lives of her characters and by giving them such a detailed backstory you really feel as though you know them personally. Trish and Michael are both interesting characters and very relatable and realistic, both with good points and bad. As I was reading I felt I was invested in their story and couldn’t stop turning the pages until I found out their future. This is the first in a new series of books by Pamela Q Fernandes and I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

But, you know what they say about not wanting to find love…. that’s when it finds you. This story is mostly about Mason and Rylie and their navigation from strangers to lovers. Their relationship is not easy, and both have past baggage that holds them back. However, woven through the story, is the relationship between Miles and Alexa. I was immersed in both storylines that were happening simultaneously. I am hoping that Miles and Alexa will get their own book in the future because I have so many unanswered questions! Overall, this was a good book that I enjoyed reading.

He believes he can be toxic. Only to be reunited with a past flame that he can’t seem to remember. He doesn’t try to stake claim since she belongs to someone else. Life is complicated as he sees it as a road bump on the road to success with his goals in music on sight. Deep within himself, Alex knows with a life-altering battle, he wants someone of his own. Someone he knows he wants and who knows him. But how will he go about convincing her. As time winds down, he knows he’s in for a fight to get what’s his. This book is worth the read as you ponder who deserves what and why. You find yourself rooting for each character’s sense of happiness. I loved reading this book to see which way it’d turn out.

In Other words, is a sweet romance book by Pamela Fernandez. Trish Holt, a pianist is dealing with the demons of her past. Being from a Korean origin and adopted by Irish parents, she was subject to neglect and partial treatment since childhood. Her recent breakup from her three-year-old relationship puts her self-esteem to all time low. She feels unwanted and neglected by everyone around her. Her only solace is her music and singing to the tunes on her piano. When she moves to a new home in a quaint picturesque town of Maine, she finds herself falling in love with her neighbor, Michael Quentin, who is the local chef and a successful businessman. Michael also has had a wounded childhood and struggles with his own issues. The two try to find comfort with each other, but the blockages from the past keep surfacing between them repeatedly, making their relationship rocky and uncertain.
If and how they overcome these blockages form the crux of this sweet story. The plot by itself is a typical romance story, but I loved the way the author brought about the tender emotions of her main leads, right from their childhood. The effect of a bad childhood on a person and the impact it has in shaping his/her life is very subtly brought out. When parents either adopt or give birth to a child, they need to take care of the tender emotions of the little one on whom they have staked their claim upon. Any rash decision made by a parent impacts the child heavily, and that is something most adults do not understand. The story brilliantly portrays the struggle which both Trish and Michael go through, it makes them more conscious of their choices and they become responsible adults. They both have successful careers and appear to be well rounded individuals. But somewhere deep within, they are so insecure and unsure about themselves, that it sabotages them within, the closest bonds which they value and treasure are put through peril.
Very nicely written, the book is a fast paced breezy read. I sure will pick up more from this author.

I loved every bit of reading this book cover to cover. The story is compelling to read and a joy to observe. I’m a sucker for a love story that develops in the way that this one does. In this story, we meet pianist Trish Holt who resides in Maine on Boothbay Harbor. Stunned and blindsided by a cold kind of betrayal, her boyfriend of 3 years left. Ex’s new beau is her manager. Trish reflects that she’s had a bitterness which has stemmed a pattern of bitterness in past relationships. From being adopted as a child from Korea, she’s becoming responsible for the breakdown of her relationships as she tries to fit into American culture with false stereotypes of the “picture perfect girlfriend.” Upon moving into a new home for a fresh start, she meets Michael Quentin, local chef and neighbor, who romances and heals her. Michael and Trish fall in love but heal childhood wounds. This is the type of love story you root for from the very beginning. Trish attempts to return Michael’s generosity by helping him heal his family’s dark past. The two fall in love in a traditional and deep-rooted morals to coexist in a new modern love story.

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from cover to cover. This is a well written, engaging young adult story about following your heart and the struggles that go along with it. Megan and Vincent are great strong characters that bring the story to life. They have great chemistry which kept me turning pages. Megan has a future playing her saxophone which is something she has always dreamed of. When she meets Vincent things change for her and not necessarily for the good. Will she follow her heart and which way will it take her? I highly recommend their story.
Oh, Rockstar Romances, really get my heart going. I mean I’ve had a thing for many a rockstars in my life and still do with some of them. (Looking at you Donnie Wahlburg and Louis Tomlinson). I enjoyed this book, and the time it spanned. It’s every girls dream, and I wanted to be in her shoes so badly. I really enjoyed this and I think Thia Finn did a brilliant job telling this story. I look forward to more from this author.

The story Around Midnight by Zarina Macha is a YA book. It is a story that I enjoyed reading. I loved reading about the character of Megan Hollis. She is a young girl who loves jazz. She has moved with her parents to London and has her heart set on attending the prestigious School of Jazz. Then she meets Vincent Turner. With their meeting comes new feelings and also a relationship that takes a turn for the worse. What does the future hold for Megan? Will she give up her dreams in order to be with Vincent? What does she really want? Read this book to find out. Reading about Megan had me thinking back to when I was her age and how emotions/feelings can change very quickly. I grew to care what happened to Megan and I couldn’t help but want her to find happiness whatever she wants to do. This story is about how to be true to yourself and not allowing others to manipulate your feelings and decisions. Peer pressure is very strong and can sometimes lead you to make hurried choices. I enjoyed the references to jazz music and musicians that are made throughout the story. Don’t miss out on a book that you won’t want to put down until you have read the final page.

In Other Words (A boothbay Harbor series book 1) by Pamela Q Fernandez is a 4 star read. Trish Holt was adopted from Korea by a white American family and suffered bullying over the differences between her and her parents, her parents had a biological son when she was 6 and she saw that she was treated differently by her parents too, a neighbour taught her to play the piano when she was young and she grew to do it for living. When her boyfriend of three years suddenly tells her he’s ending the relationship as he was having an affair with her manager, Trish is devastated all she’s ever wanted was to be loved and have a family and she now sees that slipping through her fingers. Michael Quentin is the oldest of 5 siblings and spent his youth taking care of them when his father killed himself and his mother drowned her sorrows in alcohol, training to be a chef he moves back to Boothbay harbor and opens a restaurant and is working on a B&B, he doesn’t do relationships and blames this on his own parents marriage, when his sister’s husband dies he steps in to care for his sister and niece. Can two people with less than perfect childhoods come together and be happy? I enjoyed this story, the two main characters were complete opposites but you could see how well they would fit together.

This is a great adventure story filled with twists and turns
Lyria ia a member of the Guards Guild who has been given her assignment to protect a noble man on his quest to find a lost contract from his dead ancestor. What she doesnt realise is that the noble man is actually wildmage who’s magic is fire based.
Vethe comes from a noble background however his ancestor is the infamous Duskbringer who almost destroyed the world by opening up a portal and releasing demons into the world. This cause Duskbringer to be defeated and his home destroyed. Vethe enjoys his life of alcohol and women, killing and stealing to get by, however a call from his aunt changes everything. Vethe has a contract to marry a daughter of a very wealthy family and his aunty either wants him to marry her or for her family to pay a large amount of money to get her out of the contract.
The problem is the last known place of this contract is in the destroyed home of Duskbringer, so Vethe and his guard Lyria set out through the Demons Forest to find it.
Will they succeed or is the contract another story with no truth to it.

The Rewind Boxed set contains 4 wonderful stories about love and romance. I really liked this authors writing style, she wasn’t afraid to explore all kinds of different relationships in her writing and although I personally I not a fan of all these for the books I choose to read I cannot fault her character development and how wonderful these characters were. Out of the four books I think my two favourite were Rewind and Return, I loved the characters in both and especially Return I found a much deeper connection with the characters. Rewind Rewind was a really interesting read. It had a really lovely storyline to it, I really liked the characters and I think the author explored something different with them also which I really enjoyed. It was nice to read about different characters and their lifestyles. I can’t say that I connected with any of the characters in particular but I certainly liked reading about them. I’m not usually a fan of m/m stories but Florian and Enzo were really nice, genuine characters to read about – I definitely felt for Florian during those first few chapters told from his POV. I really liked Enzo and it was great that the author did explore something different for his character it made him seem so much more real. I think he was my favourite character in the story, there was just something about him – I really admired the strength he had to overcome what happened to him.
Return I really enjoyed the first book in the series so I was looking forward to diving straight into the second and it didn’t disappoint at all. I think I may have enjoyed this one a little more than the first, I found a deeper connection with the characters and I really found myself dragged into Raphael’s story. The way the author wrote about him just really had my attention from the very beginning. I never deny that I am not really a fan of m/m stories so whilst some of the content wasn’t what I like to read about I cannot fault the way in which the story was written and I would much rather read a well written story with content I’m not overly keen on than a boring story with content I enjoy. A beautiful, emotionally charged story with lovely characters that you can’t help but like!
Overall a wonderful collection of stories that I highly recommend!

When I decided to read this book I didn’t realize right away it was in a series, I was a little nervous wondering if I should read the series in order. I quickly realized this could easily be a stand alone book. The book drew me right in. There is a threat that arises you are taken on A roller coaster ride. You find yourself trying to figure it out. Everything boils down to keeping Jules save . Will Trev be able to conceal his brewing feelings to keep a level head to do his job? Or will in fact is new found passion and emotions make him more determined? This is a great thriller romance chilling edge if your seat page turner. Do yourself a favor and read this book! As I was reading this book I could easily imagine this being a rest movie to watch as well. Again this is book 5 in the series so if your all about reading series in order go right ahead.Personally I don’t feel that you have to read them in order. Like I mentioned it can be a great stand alone book. Although the rest of the series is on my to read list! Happy reading!

I enjoyed this Book alot. This is my first book by this author but it will now be my last. The authors writing style is good and I was sucked in and kept turning page after page. The main characters are what made this story great, they were relatable and enjoyable. Life is fixing to become very complicated for them and I was right there with them through the ups and downs. I am looking forward to reading more by this author and I would recommend this to a friend. Happy Reading!

Temptation at its finest. Never dangle a fruit in front of a starving man. I enjoyed every page if this book. I’ve never watched hockey but I can understand the thrill. Rhett and Eden are amazing characters. I felt their fun and loving natures through the pages. You could feel the energy and excitement coming from this story in waves. I liked how confident and open Rhett was. I couldn’t get enough! The author did amazing with this story. Every character had a reason and flowed together nicely. I like the attention to detail and the depth the characters had. I love stories that get you to the point. Stories that give you the right amount of background but doesn’t let it crowd the present. This was sweet and to the point. Great job!

I’m so irritated. Why do I constantly do this to myself? This author definitely knows how to wrap you in the emotions of her characters. To make you feel how they felt. Through the whole story I was slacked jawed with how much you got to know these characters. By how you learn to understand and live their life. I’m not sure if I could be as brave and amazing as Sarah. She is herself 100% of the time. There is no shyness no timid voice. I loved how she gave 100% of herself and communicated what she needed and wanted. That level of honesty is amazing. It just sucks that she doesn’t get it in return. I know millions of people out there that possibly feel the same. But it truly amazed me that the author made these characters so real. Yeah this one is definitely a must read.

I love a good story about fae. You have so many different directions you could go in. I felt the possibilities that could come from a story like this. The authors had a great structure for this story. Though it missed the mark on some parts. The characters were good but you had so much information repeated and changed that it was a little hard to follow. I wasn’t sure if the characters names where changing or if there were new ones being introduced. It was a good story and you could see the direction the authors were wanting to go it just didn’t quite get there. Cassandra is a great character and that’s why I did four stars. She is really lovable. It’s like she is an angel. Through the whole story I felt her and all she was. So kind, intelligent and beautiful. I think I’m going to stick with this series. I feel like it’s only going to get better.
