This book follows Ash Hunter and Blair Martell, enemies with a common denominator between the two: Blair’s brother, her everything and his best friend. Her brother was her favorite person on Earth, her best friend, protector and everyone else loved him just as much as she did. Ash Hunter was her brother’s best friend and he was always there knocking Blair down a notch. He wanted to knock her down at every turn that is until he decides to give her what she never knew she wanted. This book seems like a movie as it takes us on a magic ride with these lovable characters. I’m here for all of it! I’m a hopeless romantic who loves to follow where these books can lead me. I love to follow the direction of which the characters bring us into their lives. I was hooked from page to page as we see these relationships develop into something so sweet.

Christian school teacher Alexandra Mills has second thoughts after trying to heal a broken heart by trying to get over one man while laying under the next guy. She’s got a lot on her plate as she’s unwed and pregnant but she’s also unemployed. Max Buchanan is Alex’s bestie as he swoons the city and the women in it. He has a bright future set up for himself: Bachelor, political figure and eye candy to the ladies. Alex has never given him the type of day and has never seen him like all the other girls have — until now. Alex and Max derive a plan that could keep them both out of hot water as they play married to save his company and for her to save his job. But will Alex fall for it: The rouse and fall for Alex in the process of this arranged marriage? I enjoyed this book more than I originally thought I would. The characters are witty and fun to love. This original story keeps you on your toes as you can’t help but read how it’s gonna turn out. Very entertaining read!

Giovanni Larussio is the boss of the most dominant crime family in Italy. As a forceful player, he knows how to command his way around the world, he and his cousins are known for their savageness in defeating their enemies. As head of the largest casino in Vegas, the lust to reign Serena Moretti can impact his foes to bring him down. Moretti’s family has been impacted through the years directly from the Larussio family. They used to believe the whole family was their enemy but when Giovanni is around, he makes Serena weak give into his desires, but at the risk of putting herself in danger. Will she ever see it before it gets too late? Can Giovanni protect her with his massive presence both physically and ruthless demeanor? Can her family forgive her naive nature? Will love conquer all through two feuding families? This is a read like a modern day “Romeo and Juliet” except better. It’s action-packed and romantic at the same time. I love how it keeps you on edge for which way it’s gonna go. This is most definitely an intense read. Pick up this one and you won’t regret it.

Releasing Her Power Within (Fae Shifters Book 1) by Madilynn Dale
5 ++++ Stars
So for a debut novel this author has blown me away! From the unique storyline to the amazing character building, to the easy flowing words, and the amazing scenery I felt like I was looking at and smelling. I am so impressed.
It was written in a very simple style and literally made me feel like I was there. I could see the cabin and was on the trail with them at the very beginning. Not only all of the above but add in that I loved the story and read it in one sitting, I planned to go to bed and just start it to get a feel for it and ended up finishing it before I went to sleep because I could not put it down!
I loved Tiff in this story and can not wait to see where she fits in and how they all plan to handle her. She’s a spunky one so this could get seriously interesting. There are so many things going on towards the end that needing the next in the series is killing me, and I have so many questions that need answers. This shocks me somewhat because I don’t normally read shifters and I have no idea what adding in Fae even means but it doesn’t matter. I’ll figure it out because I will have the next the minute it is available.

Releasing Her Power Within is the first book in the Fae Shifters series and debut novel by Madilynn Dale. The series name is what drew me to this book, as the idea of Fae Shifters really intrigued me. This is an original paranormal fantasy with discoveries, danger, new beginnings, and romance. Little did Liz know, but inheriting her grandmothers’ old cabin, after her mother dies, will change her life as she knows it. Her world is about to get seriously crazy- in ways she could have never imagined. Liz’s adventure is just beginning….and we get to tag along for the ride. I thought the concept of the story was really unique and held so much potential. I was excited to explore the world that Ms. Dale has lovingly created. But unfortunately, I just couldn’t get into the story, even though I really wanted to love it so badly. It is my favourite genre- so I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t connect to the story or the characters the way I had hoped to. It has all the ingredients needed to make it an intriguing read- but my heart just wasn’t in it. I am shouldering the blame for that- as others will probably thoroughly enjoy this story and give it 5 Stars- so I will revisit this book in a few weeks and see if I still feel the same way, or I might discover that I just had an “off” reading day. So stay posted. I will also read the second book when it releases, because I am intrigued as to where the story is headed.

Forbidden Desire by L.M. Mountford was a very good and steamy erotica short story! Definitely an 18+ novella though. When I read erotica, this type of story line is not one I typically go with, cause I’m not a huge fan of the older/younger romance scenes, but this one was really good! It quickly draws you in and it’s such a short novel it makes for a great read. I highly recommend this novel, if you enjoy reading erotica or if you’re just looking for a short and sexy story to read.

Anger Hero High Book 2 By Mina Chara ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Second best Coming of Age fantasy for the young adults.
Hero High is at it again. Follow along as you meet Figure in Flames and Dr. Dangerous. You will join in with new characters as the team and start a new adventure. The main characters stay in the back as they know they are being watched. Come on into the superstructure, just be careful! I refuse to give you any spoilers as I feel you will enjoy the story.
Mina Chara is the author in this fantasy romantic novel written for our teens and young adults. She is clever in her writings as her target is those coming of age young adults. Even as an adult I truly enjoyed this story. One I can safely introduce to the teens around me. Love the story, love the characters and romantic fantasy. We can all relate to this fiction. Job well done Mina Chara!

Rise is the second book in Via Mari’s Larussio Legacy series and I just realized that I have read every single one of her books and it is amazing how all her series intersect in one or other way – Prestian series, Torzial Affair, Billionaire Bodyguards … I find that I am so fortunate having read all of the series as it feels as if I am getting even more out of the experience … Rise gives us Serena Moretti, raised to believe that the Larussio family is the enemy, and Giovanni Larussio, the don of the most powerful crime family in Italy. The second book picks up where the first one ends and we have Gio fallen hard for Serena and her having those submissive desires coursing through her in his presence … Considering Gio’s position as the head of the crime family then it makes Serena (and her family, especially her Nonna) a target as Gio’s weakness … There is so much passion and chemistry between those two, there is so much past between the two families and at times it is really hard to see beyond all the action and fighting and betrayals and hope that those two will get their happy ending … It is another cracking book by Via Mari and I am looking forward to many more to come!

Rise the second book in The Larussio Legacy by Via Mari. This mafia suspense romance will melt your kindle. Gio and Serena have so much passion, chemistry and their love for one another is heartwarming. Things started with a bang in this book and didn’t stop. You ever knew what was going to happen next. Can their love survive family enemies and all the threats?
This series must be read in order because you don’t want to miss any of the action. I have said this before in my other reviews for Via Mari’s books – I recommend everything Via writes. Pleases let Jay be next to have his book.

Forbidden Desires: Taken by her Son’s Best Friend (Confessions of a Trophy Wife Book 1) by L.M. Mountford
This was a short, quick, very steamy read. Elizabeth is feeling neglected by her cheating husband. With her son leaving for college she is feeling that much more lonely. Hugh, her son’s best friend, makes her forget all those bad feelings. He makes her feel sexy and more than a trophy wife. I wish this story was longer because it was such a good read I wanted more. I can’t wait to read more by this author. I recommend this book.

A Moore Affair (Moore Family Saga Book 4) by Michele Sims is another well written story in the series and the characters are enjoyable. I suggest reading the other books before this one so you have a full understanding of all the characters involved. No, it is not necessary but it will help. Bella is finally marrying the man of her dreams and she knows he is a lot to take on and his past, but she hopes she is up to the task because love has no bounds.

I enjoyed this immensely! It’s a fun lighthearted quick read. While this book is the second in the series it is just as good as the first book. The author carried all the fun from book 1 through to this book. It is an exciting paranormal story filled with shifters, vampires and witches. There are ups and downs and I laughed multiple times. The characters are sassy, sexy and vibrant. I love Trace and Sophie together. They had fun with each other and I laughed at their comments. In one spot she says “Great I have landed myself a clingy one. He replies with “Just call me Saran Wrap”. I loved that comment. Perfect humor.
I look forward to more from this author and more in this series!

Shift Happens: A Paranormal Romantic Comedy ( New Orleans Nocturnus Book 2) By Carrie Pulkinen 4 Stars
Sophie’s grandmother was a witch and she desperately wants to be one as well. All her friends say that she smells like one but she can’t cast a spell if her life depended on it. After getting bit by a werewolf, there is a high probability that she’ll turn into one herself. She wanted to have sex with one, not become one.
Trace is second in command of his pack and is sure Sophie is behind the disappearance of one of his pack mates. He’s already gotten involved with the enemy before with horrible results but can he resist the charms of this beautiful witch?
This series just keeps getting better with every book. Shift Happens is a lighthearted romantic comedy filled with lovable characters. Sophie is feisty and awkward and Trace is hot as sin. Between the humour and the romance, this book with pull you in from the start and you’ll never want it to end.

This is one of my favorite series and I highly recommend it. There is a theme running through them all. It’s how the author is able to make these characters seem so real! I can always feel their feelings and love being in their lives. She is magic with words. Below is a little review about each book in the series.
Georgia Clay book 1
This is a great easy to read book. I really enjoyed it. The story flowed nicely. The characters are interesting. I loved Clay. Seriously what a gentleman! Finally getting his greatest wish! He seems like a nice southern guy who just happens to be famous. His family values are an attractive quality about him. I love the times when he is with Katie. It’s like I can really “feel” the emotion each one has for the other. Katie is a great girl. She has wonderful friends in Stacey and Dale. Even though Dale had a smallish role I resonated with him and thought he did wonderful things. Every time he was in a scene I knew it would be good. A few things I really enjoyed were when Clay called and asked her to come to Nashville for the first time…..I wanted to squeal right along with her! I was just as excited as she was. Also when Clay is singing on stage in the Bluebird. I got chills from everyone’s reactions to him. I won’t even talk about the end of the book..that one brought possible tears. Hartford…what to say about him?? What an amazing brother and he made me laugh and chuckle. Oh and I don’t want to forget the little game called “What would happen if?”
Georgia on my mind book 2
This is the second book in the Southern Promises series. I enjoyed this and read it fairly quickly. One of my favorite things about this author is how she writes these characters to make them so real. Meaning I can feel their feelings right along with them. Their happiness, pain and embarrassment is mine as well. She did an extremely good job on Hart’s character. His pain and anguish? Or Joy and pleasure? It was easily seen (aka read) and felt. Color me impressed!
I was so excited to see this one is about Hartford. I enjoyed many things about him in Georgia Clay. I am glad he called out to the author for his story. It was nice to see more sides of Hart. At times he seems so serious. Then You see the lighter side of him. He is so open around his mom and sister i could almost see him as a little boy. I love when he puts his arms around the women in his life. He seems so comfortable doing that. His smile? That’s a thousand-watter..right there. I can picture that in my head! His feelings for Gia? I loved reading how excited he was to get her to have coffee with him and how worried he was about screwing up with her.
Georgia Pine book 3
The writing in this book and series is so good! Actually the story behind the writing. The heartfelt words and descriptions (characters and things) are brought to life in my imagination because of this author’s words. I can picture each of them (characters) and as I read along I am more entranced by them every second. The girls and especially Tim. There was a definite beauty and the beast theme. Just the right touch. It is a cute add to the story. I love all the different ways that Tim’s green eyes are described. Pine, emerald and forest green are just some of the ways which make it very vivid in my mind. Plus all the references to him being a beast! His scraggly beard and long unkept hair….ha ha I loved it! Then when he called Jessica his Bella I couldn’t keep the smile from my face. Jessica and her girls were great. Each of the girls had their own little quirk and their love of Tim was so evident! Seriously though Tim was my favorite character….well next to Clay (Southern Promises Book 1).

Fletcher – Review by Lisa Helmick
This is a highly emotional story. While there is an element of danger mostly the story revolves around Manuela and Josh. What trials they have been through before they come together. Then the danger is lurking and growing stronger. Will Manuela be strong enough?
I liked this story to a point. Manuela was abused sexually, physically and mentally. We learn about what happened through flashbacks. Four months after being rescued she is mated and scared of the words he uses while they are mating. But then she asks him to tie her up and live out a fantasy? She thinks that might be better? That was just too much for me to believe. Just my personal opinion.
This is my first book by this author. It is the third in a series and we do meet up with characters from precious books. I liked the story up to a point then struggled to get through the rest.

Forbidden Desires: Taken by her Son’s Best Friend (Confessions of a Trophy Wife Book 1) is the first book in a new series by LM Mountford. I have read several books by this author and there is a reason that he is known as The Lord Of Lust. This book is yet another fine example of why he is known as this. Elizabeth Clarke looks like she has it all: Perfect house, perfect husband and perfect life. In fact her husband is a lying, cheating drunk. When her son moves away to university she wonders how she will cope left at home. That is until his best friend Hugh moves back home and makes a move on Elizabeth! This book is short, not so sweet (it’s downright sinful) and gets straight to the point. It’s hot as hell and will have you gripped to the story from beginning to end. I devoured it in just over an hour. It’s certainly a very good way to spend an afternoon.

Every Last Psycho: A Collection of Twi Novella’s by Zarina Macha are two stories with compelling characters and complex subject matters. Each one is completely different from the other but has the same deep feeling about them. These books have to be some of the best young adult books I have read recently. This author has a great way of creating characters that are intriguing with a storyline to match them. I really connect with each of these girls but for entirely different reasons. Both novellas are well written and really made me think about the subject involved. This is a great collection and I would definitely recommend it for fans of this genre!

A Gentleman’s Stipulation (The Scarlet Salon Book 4) by Jean Wilde
Lady Victoria Gilbert, a noblewoman, is looking for a husband. Lady Victoria is a strong, confident woman looking to marry for love, not a contract marriage of title and money. The last person she wants in her life is the opinionated Blake Hall, a son of a mill tycoon. They despise each other until they agree to be civil because they both sincerely care for Patience Hall, Blake’s younger sister. After a while the two find themselves in a compromising situation when Blake suddenly hatches a plan to help keep Lady Victoria’s reputation intact. What happens next is something neither one expects…
This story grabs hold of you and you’ll want to keep reading it. I will definitely be reading more books by this author in the future.

The amount of action in this books is off the charts and I felt like I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. The characters were fantastic. They really made this story, they felt real and raw and I loved every bit of steamyness and heat that they brought. I would highly recommend reading this series in order because both books are fantastic and you get the best reading experience reading them in order! I am very much looking forward to reading more by this author! And I would recommend to anyone that likes an awesome mafia story! Happy Reading.

Shift Happens is the second book in the New Orleans Nocturnes series by Carrie Pulkinen. It could be read as a standalone, but having said that, you would be missing out on a really fun read if you don’t read the first book too- plus there are recurring characters who are introduced in the first book- so there is a lot to gain by reading book one first. This is a fantastic Paranormal Romantic Comedy- with werewolves, witches, magic, spells, vampires, mystery, chemistry, humour, romance, danger, drama, and plenty of fun. Again, the story is set against the mystical backdrop of New Orleans. We met Sophie Burrows in book one, as she is Jane’s best friend. Sophie has watched her friend find her place in the supernatural world and would love nothing better than be able to embrace her own mystical heritage, but try as she might, she just doesn’t seem to be able to access that which should have been her birthright. You see her grandmother was a powerful witch, and Sophie has long dreamed of following in her grandmother’s footsteps. All her supernatural friends say she looks and smells like a witch- so why can’t she cast spells. She feels like such a failure. Then added to her dilemma is the little problem of having been bitten by a werewolf- and the chance she could turn into one at the next full moon. What is a witch to do? Trace Thibodeaux is a Red Wolf Shifter who happens to be the one who accidentally bit Sophie. He’s been looking for his missing packmate who was with an unknown witch at the time of his disappearance. Things get even more complicated when his pack is cursed, as well. So not only does he need to find his missing friend, but find the witch who cursed his pack and deal with the situation. His investigations have led him to Sophie and he is convinced that she’s the witch he’s after. If only he wasn’t so attracted to her. Their chemistry is throwing him off his game. He needs to prove to his alpha that he can get the job done- so spending time with the enemy probably isn’t the smartest thing he could do. What happens next makes for a really fun and very engrossing read!
Loving this series!!!!! Diving into Book #3 now!!!!

Such a cute story. Many kids, whether it’s daycare, school, first sleepover or even anything new, can benefit from this book. And who better to help ease their fears than Jake the Growling dog! Jake had a friend help him see that doggy daycare wasn’t as scary as he thought it would be. Super cute, loved the colorful pictures. This series can go so far and cover so many things and I can’t wait to read whatever comes in the future.

The second book in the Dylan Hart series doesn’t disappoint! The book starts several months after the Dylan’s run in with the vampires. She’s been invited to accompany her old friend to New Orleans… right smack dab in the middle of not only vampires but Dylan comes across a new enemy! How will witty, spunky Dylan survive this new foe?
A fast paced book that will have you laughing and waiting to see what happens! Go Dylan!!!

Southern Promises: The Complete Series (A Contemporary Romance Stand-alone Box Set) by K.G. Fletcher is a collection of brilliant books by an amazing author. This is one of those box sets that I can easily say I have enjoyed each and every one of the books. I was hooked from the moment I started reading the first book and absolutely had to finish the series. I loved the characters. They were so engaging and relatable. I found myself backing them and desperately wanting them to find a way to make things work. This author has one of those writing styles that I just fall into so easily. The stories are always so well developed and each has its own distinctive voice! I loved all of these books and would highly recommend them!

I have reviewed each of the stories in this box set separately. They were all wonderful reads!
Georgia Clay
Ahhhh this story absolutely stole my heart and ran away with it! This is the first book that I have read by this author and will definitely not be the last. Her writing was so beautiful and I loved every second of this book! If ever a book gave me all the feels it was this one! I don’t think I have rooted for two people as much as I did Clay and Katie for a very long time!! I really liked Clay; he wasn’t at all like I anticipated when I first started the book. Although he was famous he didn’t have that arrogance that some stars do. I loved the connection between him and Katie. She was really sweet and a little naïve. I absolutely adored the moments between these two characters, I really could feel all of the emotions that they did and that is down to the wonderful writing by the author. Along with Clay and Katie were some great secondary characters. They really added something extra to the story.
Georgia on my Mind
I loved Hart and Gia’s story, I may not have got into it as quickly as Clay and Katie’s but once I did I was in love and hooked! This author really does create wonderful characters and I love her descriptive writing. I really felt like Hart and Gia were just perfect for each other. I really love this author’s way of creating characters, for me in this story it was Hart! I really felt like I could feel everything he did, I could feel his pain but also his joy at times. I really liked Gia too, I thought that she was a really strong character and I found myself just really wanting the best for her.
Georgia Pine
This book was just wow. I’m not sure I can actually find the words to write this review about this book. I have read the first two books in the series and I loved them, I really did but this one was just outstanding. The author has truly outdone herself, I was hooked from the very first page it was just so beautifully written. The words just flowed seamlessly and it was such an easy effortless read. I really want to read it all over again! The characters were fantastic, Jessica and Tim were perfect! They had passion, chemistry and a great connection. I kind of loved that it wasn’t all plain sailing and there were some obstacles that they had to overcome because it made me want them to find happiness all the more! Having met Jessica and her four girls in book 2 I was really looking forward to seeing more of them in this book. I wasn’t disappointed with Jessica and Tim’s story at all. There were some twists in the story as I have come to expect from this talented author.
This is a fantastic boxed set and I would 100% recommend it!!

All The Wrong Reasons! How about all the right reasons for reading this book!
This book was brilliant from the start right until the last page. I absolutely loved the storyline and the characters. Our characters are faced with real issues that in the end, they deal with them the only way they know-how at that time, but what neither of them expected was for their true feelings to be admitted!
These characters have amazing chemistry, they both made me laugh, smile sometimes a little mad, but nonetheless, they brought this story to life and I was glad I got to follow their story and journey together! I couldn’t fault this book in any way.
I can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of this series, I’d love to see Alex & Max’s story continue.
I highly recommend this read and can’t wait for more from this author!
