Granted: Curse of the Emerald Jinn by Rachel Huffmire. This is a very short coming of age story. Its includes magic, teenage romance, ginns and mystery. Its the story of a genie who is controlling the destiny of 16 year old Liam. Liam knows something is going on with him but is not sure what. He knows he sees things others don’t see and he knows when colors appear someone is mad, angry or upset. So his theory is to lay low and not be in the spotlight ever! When the Jinn appears and offers him 3 wishes what will he do? He has a great crush on a girl but he knows not to get around her because he’s afraid of what will happen. He feel totally alone because he is being raised by his mom only and he doesn’t want to worry her. What will happen to Liam? Read this fun coming of age story to find out!
