Stand Your Ground by A. J. Ullman – Review by Karyn Taylor

Stand Your GroundStand Your Ground by A.J. Ullman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Stand Your Ground is a fantastic thriller by A J Ullman. This was the first time I had read any of this author’s work and if this book is any example of their work then I’ll definitely be reading more.
As someone from the UK, I’m not very clued up on US gun laws, so this book was a major eye opener for me. To be honest, I can’t get my head around citizens being able to legally carry a gun. My home city of Glasgow is violent enough and the thought of adding guns to that mix really fills me with fear.
I was hooked to this book from the very beginning and just did not want to put it down. Why does real life have to get in the way of valuable reading time.
There book is not particularly fast paced. There is a lot of added detail that gives you a much more in depth look into Cady’s earlier life.
The writer really does take you on a fascinating journey and there are many times that it takes you in a totally different direction from where you thought you were going.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it.
