This book was so sweet and cute. I loved the messages that are taught in this book about facing your fears and talking about your emotions. Jake the Growling Dog is an excellent book for young children to read and find comfort in. It is definitely a book I would like to share with my children in the future. Even as an adult I loved it! I absolutely recommend this book for parents of young children.

Oh, book 3 of the series and this one just blew me away. You again get all the feels in this story. Set during the beginning of 2020 and the beginning of the pandemic, I found this story to feel so real. The location is New York. Some of the characters are essential workers. It hits home. Some storylines come to a close and some bloom like a cherry blossom in the spring. You are smiling as you mourn. Krystina and Loukas have chemistry that has been evident since they were children, but they never realized it. My favorite story is when Melina tells her why she has Loukas’ mom’s name as her middle name. Both moms wanted them to marry when they got older. I can relate to the stories about getting teased for the color of your panties, etc. This has been such an enjoyable series to read so far. It’s like reading about your own family (even if you aren’t Greek). The flow of the story from different POV’s is so smoothly transitioned that it just works so well. The main couples are always so feisty and even with the flaws that every couple has, they work through it and still find a way to work together. This has been a new author for me and I’m enjoying her romances because they might have a sweet factor, yet they are also real about what can be wrong in relationships. I would absolutely give it more than a 5 rating if I could.

This box set was phenomenal! Each of the brothers were sexy and fierce and the romance was perfect. I loved each book individually and felt that they all went together so well. The spice was magnificent and all of the FMCs were totally badass women that were able to handle their men just right. I don’t know if I could ever pick a favorite man since each one of them is so hot and unique. I love that in this box set you get all of them for the price of one!

Lord Hani is back and it is four years later, the rule of King Akhenaten is well and truly established and he continues in his role as a scribe for the Royal Hall of Correspondence and a diplomat for foreign affairs, since his last investigation concluded, Lord Hani has been trying to keep a low profile since the King changed the religious regime in favour of Aten over Amen-Ra, where he closed all the temples and made those employed by them redundant, this did not go over well in the community around those temples.
This has deeply affected Lord Hani’s family as they were some of those made jobless, including his brother in law, who disappeared and went into hiding because of this being a firebrand in the side of the royal family and because of this, Lord Hani is under close surveillance, this does not stop a request from the Beloved Royal Wife for him to meet with her. Although, Lord Hani is worried about what will happen if he goes, he responds to the summons and meets with the Beloved Royal Wife, this is where she tells him that she is being blackmailed by someone and she asks him to investigate.
Meanwhile, the King of the vassal state of A’amu is waiting for an audience with King Akhenaten and Lord Hani is asked to permit him and his party to stay at his residence rather than the palace as the wait fir the appointment could be a long one and the party are getting restless and they already know Lord Hani from a previous investigation where they met. This is not ideal, but Lord Hani knows that he cannot refuse the request, so he agrees and makes his family aware of the change in the situation and requests that they don’t talk about anything politically outrageous in the company of their guests.
As Lord Hani leaves his home to investigate the blackmailer, he finds that the information is not easily forthcoming and again is showing that the most part of his superiors cannot be trusted and that danger is again creeping in on him and his family. Will he be able to investigate before the danger becomes too close to home, or will he be able to find the evidence needed, unearth the culprit and keep his conscience in tact? This is another thrilling instalment in this series of historically based mysteries where twists and turns abound as you draw your conclusions along with the characters until the end is reached.

This is the fantastic first book in a series that looks like being a cracker. This is an author that was totally new to me but I was totally sold by the blurb. It sounded like it was exactly the type of book that I’d really enjoy. Sexy billionaire, brother’s best friend – what more do you need? Remington (Remi) Starke is a dark brooding sexy billionaire with the world at his feet. Audri Wu is his best friend Grayson’s little sister who is struggling to come to terms with events from her childhood that changed her life. This isn’t just a contemporary romance story. There is so much more to it. It has the added bonus of being a romantic suspense story with loads of drama, danger and intrigue that totally keep you gripped to the story wanting to know how the story will unravel. Let’s just say that the author has a few surprises that might just throw you. If you are a fan of the romance part of a story then I can assure you that this story is hot and steamy and does not lack at all in the romance stakes. I really loved this book and can’t wait to see what the author has in store for the other guys in the WaterFyre Rising world.

Lord Hani is an Egyptian scribe for the Royal Hall of Correspondance where his duties include correlating, translating and transcribing correspondence from around the Two Lands, he is also a diplomat in the foreign service where he undertakes tasks assigned to him by the King Akhenaten. His latest assignment is to spend time with a lord from Syria who is visiting the capital so that they bonds between their two lands can be strengthened and although it isn’t something he enjoys, he has taken the diplomat hunting so that he can guage his opinion of the man. After the diplomat has left, Hani reports to his superior on his oservations and is then given a new assignment based on them to visit another Lord in another part of the kingdom, hwoever, as he is travelling, he receives the news that the diolomat has been killed and that he now has to change direction and investigate the murder.
As Hani prepares for this investigation, he enlists the help of his secretary so that he can enure that he misses nothing in the interviews he has to carry out, hwoever, as he gleans more information from those in and around the murder, the waters muddy and he begins to feel that this murder may be more than meets the eye. The more that Hani investigates and the more information he finds out, the less at ease he feels, who can he trust with the evidence and how far up the hierarchy does the corruption go?
Will Lord Hani’s investigation lead to the prosecution of those guilty of the crime, or will danger surround him like a bird in a snare before he can complete his assignment? This is a mystery based in a historical land where nothing is as it seems and danger lays around every corner, but which will keep you intrigued throughout until you can figure out the culprit is in the end.

Mia and Nicholas, a story of love that started in their teens. Lost and alone, he came to her aid and reunited her with her family,,,only to disappear into life. Many years later, he appears back in her life as her boss the publication she works for. Alas, she doesn’t realize it’s him. The humor, romance and drama begins now. There is so much chemistry between these two (if they would just realize it). They both have baggage to work through. With the aid of Grandma and their families, they can get through this? We also get more insight into Grandma’s romance with her missing husband. Nicholas is investigating his disappearance and we are a little closer but nothing set in stone yet. This is book 2 of the series and I love it. It ties in nicely with book 1. The characters are totally relatable. Just your crazy family trying to love everyone and get along. We all want a family like Mia’s. I do have to say their love story just brings out all the emotions. You ride the emotion roller coaster. It is the sweetest story. Highly recommended for all romance readers. Definitely would give more than a 5 if I could.

Debra’s story is one of many in the American Mail Order Bride series. Isabella Bride of Ohio is not your typical mail order bride romance. It is an historical romance suspense story with a twist. There is drama and angst, mystery and intrigue, fear and danger and assault. This quick read gives us insight into the choices or should I say non choices that a lot of single women had to face back in the late 1800s. It also details historical facts for that time which was interesting. The characters are likeable, well most of them as there where a few I wanted to do physical bodily harm to but I needed something more. I did feel that the chemistry could have been fleshed out a bit more but all in all it was an interesting read.
She has gone from being taken and abused to an arranged marriage with a man who shows his true colours to be an abusive man. Will she get her HEA?
If you like historical romance give this one a go.

The story of Kally and Max is one that just kind of warms your heart. It’s full of humor, romance, sweetness and drama. Kally would love to just have a true love romance with a guy that is truly single and the love is real. Right now, that’s only in print romances. Kally learns that not everything is as it seems. She has some emotional/relationship baggage to deal with. She learns through all this and learning about her mom and grandmother’s marriage that sometimes you just have to take that leap of faith. The characters are so loveable in this story, even George, the grumpy dad. They kind of remind me of the family in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I half expected George to offer Windex for minor ailments. Grandma is adorable and probably my favorite. Such sweetness that I felt cavities forming (I loved it in this story, it fit). The plot was perfect. I loved seeing Kally trying to figure out where her grandfather is. I hope we’ll see more of that in the other two books in the series. A fun, quick read that can make your weekend enjoyable. I would give it more than a 5 if I could.

Victoriously Yours (Titans of Manhattan Book 4) by Anise Storm. I love this series and I have been anxiously waiting on Jonas’ story. Jonas came across as the most stuck up, conceited jerk of the whole group. Life has not been easy on Jonas and instead of becoming softer he’s even more of a jerk but when he reconnects with an old flame from high school he’s different. He’s not exactly butter but he’s a little less arrogant. Kenzie has come a long way from High school and the girl with the broken heart. Kenzie has had her share of hard knocks but she’s on a great career path and when she goes to interview for her dream job of Chef she never in a million years dreamed the one interviewing her would be Jonas. Try as they may can they stay away from each other except for a professional relationship? The chemistry is crazy between the two of them and Kenzie may be able to soften Jonas more than anyone!

The Cave of Ruin Arsa by Andrea Matthews’s third book in The Cross of Clarann series. I enjoyed all the elements of this paranormal romance. There is magic, history, adventure, and all good time travel needs secrets and lies. The story was well written. The characters are fully developed and complex in nature. Claran wants to focus on his new life but something always gets in his way. Mainly his past is what is haunting him. He has been having his dreams again. He is newly married and he is anxiety is still high. He is trying to move on from his past. Will his dreams stop? What does his new life hold for him? I highly recommend this book and the whole series as they are all good reads.

Caring For Kingsley by Alli Eldridge is such a heartbreaking tale. Having lost fur-babies myself, I know the anguish all too well. I cried buckets of tears through this book, so much so, that at times I couldn’t see the words for all the tears. Reading about Kingsley’s battle with cancer and the lengths his mum and dad went to in an effort to heal him touched me as much as it broke me. While the word cancer produces some scary feelings, the story itself is an incredibly moving and powerful ‘tribute’ to their beloved Kinsley. As well as offering some helpful ideas and insights for anyone else facing the same the same situation. I think writing Kingsley’s story also provided a journey of healing for Alli and her husband Dustin in the process. Caring For Kingsley is a raw, honest, and heart-wrenching account to say the least. But the story is so much more than that. It is a powerful story of love, friendship, family, bonds, dedication, comfort, grief, hope, and healing- and I really appreciate Alli Eldridge for sharing this poignant and memorable story with us.

Between Darkness & Light is the third book in the War of Destiny series by Theresa Van Spankeren. Julia has been through so much- and things aren’t about to settle down any time soon. Events have left her shunned and lonely. Is she losing her mind as others fear. Julia begins to wonder herself. She is forced to seek help from a former close colleague, who’s turned hostile towards her. With danger closing in and sinister agendas at play, the stakes are high, as the story takes a dramatic turn…. This is a fantastic series; each book builds on what came before, and I am well and truly hooked. A clever and intriguing paranormal saga, with vampires, action, adventure, wonderful atmospheric world building, danger, politics, agendas, unexpected developments, emotion, high stakes, and plenty of tension. If you love an original take on vampire lore, paranormal elements, high stakes, and agendas- then you will want to dive into this book/series asap. Can’t wait to see what Book #4 has in store for us! Happy reading!

Love is Worth Fighting For is the third book in The Meraki series by Effie Kammenou. It is a contemporary romance with a ‘frenemies-to-lovers’ element, finding love unexpectedly, a bit of a quest, challenges/unforeseen difficulties, faith, history, connection, banter, family dynamics, drama, angst, and endearing characters. This is Krystina’s story, whom we met in the previous books as she is Kally (Book #1) and Mia’s (Book #2) sister. She had an idea of what she wanted to achieve in her life, but fate seems to have had other ideas. Havin her annoying childhood frenemy around only adds to her frustration. But she begins to see him in another light when unexpected challenges arise and he steps up- helping her through it all. Soon feelings get involved…. and you’ll have to read the story if you want to find out what happens with Krystina and Loukas. The story could be read as a standalone, but as there are recurring characters as well as a bridging subplot that makes this book/series even more intriguing I highly recommend reading the previous two books before starting on this one. Happy Reading!

This is book 17 in the American Mail order Bride Series. These books are romance stories but this one is so much more.
In this book we follow Isabella’s story. After moving to American with her family her parents pass away leaving Isabella all alone. Needing to support herself she takes a job at a mill until 2 weeks later that burns down. Now with no way to support herself she hears about becoming a mail order bride and sees this as her way out of her situation. She writes to Donald Jenks. He is looking for a wife and seems like the perfect match for her. However looks can be decieving and the face he shows the world hides a dark person within.
On her journey to retch Donald Isabella meets Tom. When she is almost kidnapped Tom rescues her. But who is he? Will the be the only time he comes to her rescue? And what is this feeling Isabella feels when she is around him?
This book is a romance but not in the way you expect. It is also full of secrets and lies and has a story that will keep you gripped to the end.

This was a very interesting read, having never read this author before I was really blown away. While this is the second book in the series, I was able to follow the plot and character development without reading the first one. The authors writing style is very unique, and full of plenty of details, action, character development and more. Personally I can’t wait to see what this author does next, but in the mean time I’ll be going back to read the first book.

Caring for Kingsley is an emotional journey that anyone with pets can relate to. The hope the fear and everything in between set the scene from first fears throughout the diagnosis and hearing the dreaded C word. The overwhelming choices in front of you to make a decision. The available treatments both conventional medicine and alternative therapies and the costs and all the while wondering if you are doing the right thing. But as anyone can attest to, an animal is as precious as any human family member and you want to do everything anything to make them better.
Alli gives us a raw, heartbreaking and real narrative of facts and feelings of what her and her family has been through when their beloved Kingsley became sick.
It was all the more devastating to me as we recently lost a feline family member. Tissues are needed.

This book is book one of the series. It’s the first book I’ve read by this author but I was blown away!
Audri, despite being plagued with guilt, is the purest soul. She’s so sweet, determined, hard working. Remington is her older brothers best friend. He’s driven, intense, successful. As they spend more time together, it’s harder to ignore the chemistry. In the background, there are lots of secrets and a lot of suspense.
I could not get enough of this book! It has everything! I loved Audri’s character. She was very self-assured but also had moments of insecurity that was very relatable. Remi was so intense. The absolute definition of alpha with his inherent need to protect those close to him. I highly recommend!

This is the 3rd book in the Merkai series. This author has an amazing talent with the stories and they are so emotionally moving the reader can’t help but get swept away in the story and the lives of the characters.
In this story we join Krystina and Loukas. At first they are frenemies and have been that way since childhood. Krystina wants to travel and see new places and make her blog successful and Loukas is along for the ride. When something happens that neither of them are prepared for Krystina finds herself facing challenges and circumstances she never dreamed possible. Will she be facing them alone? Add to this the search she carries on for her missing grandfather. Her grandmother is certain he will return. More determined than ever to find him she is going to face challenges that she never saw coming and maybe find a deeper connection with the person who has been by her side all this time.
This story is a real emotional rollercoaster. It is such a moving story that I have been in tears following Krystina’s journey and fight. The authors writing is so beautiful that the reader feels every emotion as the characters do. Krystina is a determined character which I love but she also has a vulnerable side which is just as endearing and makes her feel human. The connection with Loukas is magical as well. Even though they start out as frenemies and he drives her wild you can feel the attraction bubbling under the surface. This story is about learning that love could be right in front of you all alone and that no matter what you go through love will always be there to help you fight.

Well, it turns out to be a crazy ride and a very dangerous adventure with lots of drama. Two men have come into her life. One she promised to marry. The other rescued her from bad men. Will she make the right choice. I loved this book. Isabella was a delight to read about. She could have been anybody with the hard choices she had to make. She could have been a little sister you would worry about. Even being fiction, making a trip from Sweden to the United States was an amazing trip. Such a well written story. Fantastic story, engaging from page 1 straight through until the end. I love a clean, wholesome story that reminds you that God works in all ways. I’d love to read more of these. I highly recommend this to those historical romance lovers.

The Second Alpha Heir is CL’s first self-published book and a great tale. It is a shifter paranormal fantasy romance story and one that I thoroughly enjoyed. The world building, the plot and the characterisation that CL has created is a little different than the norm and it makes for a refreshing read. I found myself fully immersed in this new world because of her storytelling. With action and magic, fear and danger, hope and longing the story will keep you on your toes.
Nolen wasn’t meant to be more than he was but circumstances see to it that he must now take on more than he imagined at his young age. Now he must find the courage and a new found faith in himself to pull this off. With his new friendships his must fight for what is his.
Love is Worth Fighting for is a contemporary romance and the third instalment of The Meraki Series. This one will bring out all the feels and tissues will be needed.
This heart-breaking beautiful tale is about Krystina the youngest sister of the Andarakas family and Loukas story. It is entertaining and heart-warming with interesting characters and some beautiful settings. I love Effie’s characters they are real and raw and the ones that really make this frenemy to lovers’ story pop.
It is now Krystina’s turn to try to uncover just what happened to her grandfather and it will take everything she has to get through it but she does learn one vital thing along the way.
I highly recommend Love is Worth Fighting for; for lovers of romance stories.

Remi and his friends are smart and savvy. Having grown up together, they spent their latter high school years designing a video game, which has kept the group tightly knit into adulthood, where they each have found success and money in their careers. But witnessing a tragic event before heading off to college hangs over their heads and continues to threaten their lives and the lives of those they love. Audri is Remi’s best friend’s younger sister. Her knack for creative pursuits in jewelry making doesn’t pay the bills, so she works in marketing while trying to launch her jewelry career. But, a harassing boss is making her life miserable, until she fights back; the problem is her boss is the company owner’s son. Audri has admired Remi since they were younger, but Remi seems to only like detached arrangements with the women he sees, and she’s a romantic. When they reconnect after Remi returns to his roots to acquire a new company, which just happens to be the same one Audri is working at, the two find themselves together more often and sparks ignite. But, neither are sure if it’s a good idea to pursue something together, and both must overcome their pasts if things will ever work out between them. This book has a little bit of everything in it – loads of drama, mystery, romance, tragedy, shocking revelations, and a contrast of family dynamics. It’s a real page-turner and one of those books you’ll stay up too late reading to find out what happens next.

The newest installment to this series and I just simply couldn’t wait. Once again drama and adventures unfold for Hani and his supporting characters, but how far can Hani get with his diplomatic skills? Can he keep his family safe while yet again ge solves another crime? You’ll have to read this wonderful mystery to find out for yourself. This book was full of so many details, and so much history that you know the author did do kucu work to get it right.

Trigger Warnings: suicidal ideations, mental illness, childhood sexual abuse
WOW, I received this book and devoured it in just a few hours. I have been waiting for Jonas’s story. I am hooked on this delicious series. Anise did not disappoint in fact she went beyond my expectations in this amazing heartbreaking fourth book in the Titans of Manhattan series. Anise certainly puts her readers and characters through their paces but in this one boy she went all out.
Jonas is arrogant he is powerful and he is a playboy what he wants he gets. He works hard and plays harder, one-night stands, no strings. But in this story, we get to see a much different side of him when his past is staring him in the face.
Mackenzie wants this, no she needs this but at what cost? When she walks through that door all the painful secret’s that destroyed her, scarred her, left her devastated, lost and defeated all come rushing back.

Dark Vampire Fantasy This is the 2nd book in the War of Destiny series. Set up years later, Julia and Samuel have their hands full with the threat from Vampire King. The writing is spot on and draws you in from the start. The characters are well developed as is the world building. Unique twists and turns gad me turning the pages well into the night. Highly recommend.
