Insatiable Darkness (The Vigilant Book 0) by LM Preston – Review by Jenni Bishop

Insatiable Darkness (Vigilant, #0.5)Insatiable Darkness by L.M. Preston
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Insatiable Darkness YA fantasy story and an intriguing story and an interesting prelude to the series. The story is written in third person and I felt a slight disconnect with the main character, I think I needed more backstory for them. It also took me a few chapters to get into the story. Having said that it does not mean that the story didn’t have all the elements to be a good story. The story is fast paced and not quite as cohesive as I would have liked. It is a short tale that I would have liked to see a bit longer. As this is the set up for the series, I am hoping we get more in future books.

There is mythology and mystery, danger and supernatural/paranormal beings, magic and more that I am sure that any YA fantasy lover will enjoy.
