Caged Fire (Vigilant, #1)Caged Fire by L.M. Preston
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book 1 in the Vigilant series, and we are back with Emvee. After the shocking twists and losses from the previous book Emvee and her father are on the run. They are trying to escape the past however they can’t stay hidden for ever. Someone is after them and they won’t quit.
When Emvee sees her father shot by a mysterious woman she vows to get revenge so she sets out on journey to find her father. With the help of her friend Demi and Demi’s boyfriend Sax they embark on a journey to find the truth and hopefully save her father.
But things aren’t that easy with people from her past returning Emvee doesn’t know who to trust and when she starts getting weird feelings from the bite off Silas things take an even stranger turn.
This story is full of secrets and lies that need to be unravelled if Emvee is ever going to understand the life she now leads
