A Dowry of Snails and Mud by Brittany Tucker – Review by Lisa Helmick
A Dowry of Snails and Mud by Brittany Tucker
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Ok I had a lot of feelings about this book. I liked the idea of it. I struggled at times with the ages vs actions of the two main characters. She seemed very childish one min then adult-ish the next. He seemed amused about his bride then became sullen. The storyline rolls along nicely but at times it felt too slow. I stuck it out and decided I was glad I did as the ending is kinda fun.
Overall this would be a good story for a younger audience. I think they could identify a bit with both main characters. There is some nice humor in here. I did have a good feeling after finishing the last page.
