Ok first off, Ashes of Sin and Stardust is a dark and delicious BDSM erotic romance. I really enjoyed the story but it was a long haul. I think it could be cut into two books or cut down a bit being too wordy. There are also some parts the author added that I am not sure that fit exactly right for this story, like religion.
Lindsay however did a great job with the BDSM aspect that it will have your heart pumping it is so good. I really liked the characters who Lindsay gave us great back stories but I could have done with a little less of the brattish behaviour. Each has past that was not always good.
Having said all that Ashes of Sin and Stardust is well worth the read.

So good, soooo good! Oh man where do you even start with this book?! Key to His Heart by Kristina Beck was absolutely an amazing book. This is the first book that I have read by this author and for sure will not be my last. Katrina has finally left her loveless marriage and found herself on the way to single motherhood. She stumbles randomly into TJ and she realizes, it’s him. It’s always been him. Who is him? Well now that you’ll just have to find out for yourself. I absolutely LOVED TJ’s character. He was sweet, dotting, and wore his heart on his sleeve. He embraced Katrina and Toby (her son) without the blink of an eye. I admit I was nervous for the pair and rooting for TJ since he was getting the short end of the stick. But I am so glad they found their way back to each other. There is a lot of detail but I felt it necessary to explain the background of Katrina’s thoughts. It definitely helped. I cannot wait to recommend this book to anyone needing one they can’t put down until it’s over.

Another hit by one of my favorite authors! As have been the case with other books in this series, this was an easy and entertaining read for me. The focus on one of the underboss’ this time around was especially intriguing. I hope that future stories also focus on the lives of the ‘less elite’ involved in the mafia. I enjoyed the dynamic between the couple, but I wish there had been more spiciness and alone time between the two of them as there have been in past books. I was hooked on Mia the moment I met her, hoping that the arrangement she seeks with Nico would end well for her in the midst of her trouble with her family.
This author is a good author, but his books just aren’t for me. This book was very, very graphic and a little too disturbing for me. There is child mutilation in it, if there was a content warning, I missed it. But if you’re a lover of reading horror, then this would be a great book for you. I’m just not into it. Writing wise, it’s fantastic. Detailed, pulls the reader in, and has a good story line. But as I already said, it is fairly graphic. I’m just not a paranormal/horror book reader.

Stitch by Stitch is a murder mystery that kept me reading to the end. Elizabeth Candew is newly divorced and trying to dig herself out of a financial hole when things turn darker for her when starting a new adventure. I enjoyed this story and Elizabeth’s story. She is relatable and realistic. I also enjoyed the humorous bits of the story. I think they helped with the relatable aspects of the story—also, a look at MLM’s in a different way. I enjoyed the story and look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Ouroboros by T.S. Simons is the third book in the Antipodes series. I would definitely recommend reading this series in order so that you get the full experience. I think this book has to be my favourite of the series so far. I really got into this book and found myself getting completely lost in the story. There was much in this book, it had such an attention to detail and so much going on. I really enjoyed getting to see more about these characters and the journey they are on. Even more so with this book it felt like I was going on the same journey with them, even with it being a dystopian future. I could imagine everything the author was writing and I felt immersed in the book as a whole. This is a brilliant series and this book is excellent. I would highly recommend reading them.

When I started reading this book I didn’t realise it was based on a true story so did not expect the depth and the emotion I found. This book completely took me by surprise in the best possible way. I was completely captivated by the story and this family that you are reading about. I felt completely connected to the characters and felt like the author really reflected what they must have gone through. The emotions I felt when reading this book where immense but so fitting. The writing style worked perfectly for this book. The author did an amazing job at portraying the time and the journey the family must have gone through. And even though it is not something you can truly imagine, they really made it feel like you were there with them. This is an incredible story, and one that I cannot recommend highly enough.

Clayton misses his old life….his wife, his kid, his job as a cop. He’s doing his best to right his previous wrongs and is working as a repo man. When he’s asked to repo a boat, he gets weak in the knees and literally spends the rest of the trip throwing up. Little does he know, that’s how his stomach would feel since the cartel is now on his back.
This is a new-to-me author and I found myself unable to put this book down for any extended period of time. It was fast-paced, full of action and adventure. There are several jokes included, mostly movie references, that put a smile on the face of the reader and one particular scene that made me fist pump in the air! I look forward to reading more from Mr. Rosamilia as I really enjoyed this story!

What an intriguing introduction to this series. In this prequel to the Vigilant series L.M. introduces us to EmVee and her family as they move to a new area; Newport the family manage a gym, they are all interested in boxing and MMA. At school EmVee meets Rachel and Megan although they do not like each other, Silas and Kayson (both are into sports and members of a band). All is not quite As it seems. The business her family are managing is also owned by Dean, who owns a local club, where the boys band plays, some of the locals seem stronger than they should, there are dead bodies found in the woods, having been mauled. EmVee decides to investigate what is happening, will she manage to discover what is happening? This book has great character development and the story certainly keeps you hooked and wanting more.

Absolute thrill ride from beginning to end! One of the best psychological thrillers I’ve read in a long time! This novel is most definitely not for the faint of heart. There are depictions of murder and child abuse that made even me cringe. But the way DeBlassie spins his tale is *chef’s kiss* amazing. The internal moral dilemma that Gabriél faces in choosing to save his wife and son and going against the cherished Mother is absolutely fascinating. While this story won’t stop you from sleeping, it will invade your thoughts when you least expect it and leave you wondering why and how. I absolutely recommend this thriller of a novel.

Rivals (Mafia Elite Book 7) by Amy McKinley. I love this author so the fact I loved this book is no surprise! Its another great Enemies to Lovers Mafia Romance and in this one we find out about Nico & Mia. Mia is from a rival Mob family and she is tired of dealing with all he abuse from her dad and step brother. She figures the best way to get back at them is to marry a rival mafia boss. Nico is not in the market for marriage but when he meets Mia and she asks him to marry her for protection all bets are off. He realizes she will probably be his undoing. When he takes Mia to a secret hidden place his family has had for years he figures Mia will be safe there but of course that is not the case. Will Nico be able to keep Mia safe and will he lose his heart to her? Read this amazing Mafia Romance to find out!
The story just keeps getting better and better. We continue to follow EmVee after the disappearance of her mother and family they are presumed dead. Left with only her father, they move often and follow the MMA underground fighting scene. After her father is shot and carried off by a mysterious woman EmVee and her friend Demi, Sax (Demi’s boyfriend) and Kayson work as a team to find out and enact revenge on this woman or those she works for. And she needs to find out if her father is alive, as well as determine what has happened to her family when she is told that they are alive/ The past continues to throw things at EmVee, the issues from Silas, and people from her past. Who and what can she trust? Another really enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more.

Whoa! What a great thrilling read! Mother Juana de la Cruz is pure evil under the guise of religion and so is her entire nunnery. Using her son in ways that are unbelievable and often unreal. Poor Gabriel and his wife Consuela and their son who suffer from her nasty needs. I am stunned at how evil the religions of the world can be but, covered up by the “good” that they do and the money that is generated. I must say that Consuela is my favorite character as she sticks by her husband through all the evil and trickery that takes place and to find out that she is the hero in the end is the best reward for reading the book. Mothers are not the be all and end all in a little boy’s world! It is truly their wives that are looking out for their husband’s best interest. Always listen to that inner voice also known as intuition or a gut feeling- it usually does have something important and truthful to speak. This book is full of twists and turns and kept me on the edge of my seat during the entire read. I found this book to be a real psychological thriller in such a way as to question religion and the truth of its motives. Great character development with many colorful characters and lots of mind-bending atrocities. I appreciate the Native lore of the book and the setting description that makes me feel the hot arid desert and the sand whipping and stinging my face. Such a great book to read but be prepared for the ride of your life.

Goddess of Everything by Paul DeBlassie III was my first book by this author. Admittedly, I have never been much of a horror reader. I have a hard time getting through certain subjects and situations that can often come with that genre. There were a few areas in this story where I had to take a break because it messed with me a bit. But isn’t that what horror is supposed to do? That being said, it did not affect how I felt about the story overall, nor diminish my respect for the author’s incredible writing skills that captured so much detail in the descriptions that it was easy to visualize all that was happening. There is a lot building up in the beginning, then suddenly things are unfolding and I was completely wrapped up in it. If you love the supernatural horror genre, I highly recommend you add this book to your list!

This is a good and intense read! During spring break, Angie Taylor escapes an abduction. Her three roommates did not. Shock has rendered her speechless. Police think that she killed her friends and then had a mental breakdown. In comes, FBI Special Agent Brenda Reynolds. This case is bigger than just Angie and her friends, and will make your blood run cold. I liked that the main characters brought something different to the overall story. And of course, the addition of a dog makes it even better!

Another wonderful series comes to an end. I have to tell you, I have been so in love with the Five Families throughout these novels, and how close they all are, or how close they have all become to one another. Promising protection, love, and acceptance no matter the consequences. It also opens ones eyes to the differences of folks, regardless of the fact they were all part of the same organization (so to speak.) I have been waiting with baited breath for Nico’s story, and I’m so very glad that it was the finale of the series, as it was one of the best. This author truly knows her way around a pen and a piece of paper.
Mia is in need of someone loyal, encouraging, and who offers protection when others have never done so for her in her life, at least since her Mother passed, and she feels comfortable with Nico long before even meeting him. The want to protect women from an awful end, and getting the help needed from those that we’ve grown to love and for me, obsessed with, is endearing and I’m so glad that this series ended on the page it did. I very much look forward to any and all spin off series, and anything else released by this author. Amazing, a must read novel and series for sure!

Nico is the quiet, dark and dangerous brother within the Five Families not looking to find a wife but when Mia crashes into his world everything changes, can he close his heart and believe its just business or will he fight to the death for her.
I have to say I have been waiting for this story to come along since the first couple of books I read in this series. Nico has always been the enigma in the background showing pockets of his life and history only wetting the appetite until now and oh my what a story.
This could be read as a stand alone but there are sections which and overall knowledge of the series would be helpful to link various characters and history but it is not essential but really this series is amazing so I would recommend all of the books to read. The character of Mia is brilliant, strong and resilient to be thrust into the world of the Five Families, with the first interaction of the two characters just as stormy as the skies around them just was a brilliant start to the book.
Getting to know Nico abit more was the guiding light for me as he is my favourite character in this series with his mystery and pure sex appeal, oh my!!! I loved although Mia is younger in age she is just as strong and spunky to match the ferrous character of Nico and does not take any crap from him at all, they are great together.
Although there are twists and turns and revelations within this story that are great, I can wait to read more from Amy in the future.

Clayton is lost at the moment, with his life as he knows it gone, losing his family and job as a police officer to his gambling addiction is there ever a way to get back on the right track. Can Clayton get back his life and find out what is going on when people start going missing and he tries to help the local force, will he put himself and his family in the middle of something he can’t get out of.
This is the first book I have read by this author and have to say I pleasantly surprised with the story and the drama written with the pages. The characters are well developed and drive the story as the twists and turns adds to the overall intensity of the story.
I love a good flawed character trying to make good and Clayton is up there with the best, the way he is trying to get back his family and trying to resolve some his past is brilliant to read and you are invested from the first chapter as he is a likable rogue. The secondary characters complete the story and drive through to make you want to keep turning the pages to read what will happen next.
I definitely recommend this book and would love to read more of this series and the author in the future.

The series has seriously attracted my attention since book 1, the way the author creates this world and the characters that live in it, it’s so real, and it’s a powerful series with a serious impact! This series makes you think, wonder, things we do in this world that we make decisions to form, lead to the next thing…sometimes we want to change those decisions, but what if you can’t? And the reality you live in, is your future?
Each book in the series, has a build up. The author seems to know what we can handle as readers, as I know I constantly am in the want of more! Whenever I want more answers, the answers I seek, are met with more questions. I feel as if I am with the characters as they take this journey in the life and future of the world that they live in,. In this book especially, there is so much character development and changes, if you reflect from the first book, you really cant see it and feel it! This is the impact the author is able to do and is so very clever at doing! Each book I go down that rabbit hole, begging for more, each book entices me, provides fear in a way only such a gifted author can prevail…and most of all the author has created a series that is so powerful that when you close the book upon end, or even a few chapters, the book has captivated your mind ans has left you thinking about the possibility of this series becoming our future one day! The author is simply amazing at captivating my interest, and I am so happy I am getting to read this series! Love it!!!
This book alone is a must read.To really feel the impact that this book possesses, you need to read from the first, you really do. I needlessly need to say, this is a high recommendation from myself who is really entranced by this series and author! Must read for sure! This author has never failed, and the books in series never disappoint. Book 7 is just as raw, suspenseful, spicy, and dramatic as all the other jaw-dropping books.
As we meet Mia she’s in need of dire help. The only person she feels that she can trust for help is considered the enemy…. Nico.
Together they tread dark and chaotic territory when the offer of help comes in the form of marriage. Trust is what Nico won’t do but lust he understands. The chemistry with these two is fire and everything that comes with it is just as good.

If you haven’t read any of the Mafia Elite series I highly suggest checking them out. The author writes the stories is such a way that it’s hard to tear your eyes away from the pages. I absolutely love this series! Every book has been a bit better than the last. I love all the characters and their fierce loyalty to one another. There is a certain code that the Mafia families abide by and they all strictly follow it until Mia Tucci strays from the norm. As a daughter to one of the New York families she has seen many things that her father is involved in and she doesn’t agree with what has been happening. She has been working to take him down, but it’s proving to be a long and slow process. When she over hears that she is to be married off to a politician she knows it’s time to flee, but who can she run to? Where can she go for safety? Her only hope is Nico La Rosa and the Five Families of Chicago. They owe her huge after she warned Summer of the danger she was in. Will Nico find that she is someone worth protecting? Will he let down the walls he has built and allow himself to possibly love and be loved?
Fairly Royal is the fourth book in the Fair series by Grace Grahme. It is a slow burn, fake relationship, best friend’s little sister romance- with drama, humour, spice, and sweet developments. What happens when a royal Prince needs a solution to a pressing problem? Will his best friend’s little sister be the answer to his troubles? Things are certainly about to get interesting…. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Phillip and Anna made a great pairing. Reading why Phillip no longer dated before he met Anna was heart breaking. There were times that I absolutely wanted to reach thorough the book to strangle Phillip when he was being so dense it was frustrating. I loved how Anna was an immoveable wall when it came to certain things. She took no crap from Phillip and made sure he knew exactly what he was doing wrong. But at the same time, there were times that you felt for her when she was venerable. I know these are all stand alone books, but I wanted to know more of what happened to them afterwards. This book was written very well and I left like, I was in the middle of everything. I definitely will be adding this book to my bookshelf!

Fairly Royal was good, but I struggled getting into it at first. By categorizing it as a “slow-burn” romance, I feel like that was an understatement. It’s definitely slow, but even with that being the case, you need to push through. It’s worth it. A sweet romance by an Earl and commoner, but is it really viewed that way? Maybe to some of the characters in the book, but it’s a romance about two people who are finally giving something a chance. Though it may have started out as pretend. Philip, Earl of Arburne, and Anna have known each other for years. Her brother’s best friend, that she’s been secretly crushing on since the first time she saw him. So what happens when a tabloid speculates they are together? Philip gets this idea that they could pretend. He must’ve been foolish, because one can never truly keep feelings out of it. Anna on the other hand will take what she can get, while trying to protect her heart in the process. Sure enough his plan backfired. Now pushing back against society Philip and Anna need to learn how to not only be themselves with one another, but also how to navigate the upper class. All the while dealing with Philip’s mother and other family members trying to remind Anna she doesn’t belong. As well as trying to make her run. Will Philip & Anna Survive? Will his mom come out victorious, in her own right? So many questions and so many answers, just keep in mind it may take time to get there.

This book was excellent. It captured my attention and I could not put it down until I finished it. The chemistry between Kris and Ale is off the charts and keeps you wanting more.
This book follows the rough road of finding true love later in life. Including dealing with past relationships and current fears of the unknown and one’s feelings. This book focuses a lot on putting faith in the one you love and it definitely pushes the limit of said trust. How limitless is your trust in the one you love?
This book is great for those readers who love hot and steamy scenes. I recommend reading this book in a cool room with a cold glass of water. The tension and suspense will keep you wanting more. This book shows that great love can happen but sometimes you find it later than you wanted.
This book touches on some topics that can be hard on some readers. The author does and has warnings put in for those readers before getting into the book. Please read and consider that warning before continuing with this book.
