Kermode: Legends Series Book 2 by Maggie Adams is a rollicking little tale. Pure entertainment. If you are looking for a little light reading this is brain candy. A just reward for all those serious books. Imagine someone tells you that you are the big lottery winner, and you never bought a ticket. That’s the situation Piper Sweet finds herself in. Noah, just an innocent looking for some troublemakers walks into her shop and doesn’t even know what hit him. Reader be aware, there are some steamy situations that some may find uncomfortable. This is a nice little read that can be read as a standalone, but why miss the big picture.

I must confess, the first two books in this Maggie Trilogy was so good, that I set aside a whole block of time so that I could sit and read this third book: Lillie by Mya O’Malley. And let me tell you it was not a disappointment. Since the first two were so good I thought surely this one had to be just as good. To tell you the truth it was even better. By book three you are so invested in these characters you are spellbound. Everything that Naomi has done and achieved due to her special gift she now stands to lose. Naomi is strong and has faith. This was truly a good book.

This is the third book in the Flowers in December Trilogy. However, having not read the first two, I found this book to be easy to pick up and read and get the idea of what happened in the past. That being said, I am going to pick up the first two books and read those because I want to know what exactly occurred that brought them to this book.
In this book, Connor has returned to live in the mountain community where he grew up. There, he encounters Mary Ann again. After meeting Mary Ann months prior when she arranged the flowers for his mother’s funeral, Connor thought he had lost his chance with Mary Ann when he returned to the city for work after burying his mother. Mary Ann still feels anger when she thinks about how the way things ended with Connor after he left. She tried to get over him by going out with someone else, but she soon realized that her new relationship was not what she wanted. Seeing Connor again has stirred up those feelings of hurt and anger, along with some feelings of wanting to know where they could go but being afraid to open herself up to hurt again. A storm on the mountain provides a couple of situations for Connor and Mary Ann to talk about what happened and figure out if they have a chance of moving forward.
This was a quick read for me. The chapters moved quickly, and I found myself at the conclusion of the story before I knew it. The story felt real because it was about two people conquering the problems that occur in real relationships. Like I mentioned before, I am going to go back and read the previous books in the series because I would like more of the backstory. However, this book can be read as a standalone and provides a good story to lose yourself in.

The Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery is an inspiring book written in hopes of making readers come to see worth and value in the body they live in. I feel as if seeing your body in a positive manner is really important. It is so easy to go down the rabbit hole of depression and self-loathing while picking apart all the things that you see wrong with yourself. I like that this book is motivational and encouraging. I found it easy to relate too because of the personal experiences throughout the whole book. I love this author’s style of writing and I found myself giggling out loud several times. I have always loved to journal, it has always been therapeutic for me. Throughout this book there is journaling assignments, they may seem silly at first, some may be hard to do… but do them. They help so much. I will say that there were parts of the book that were slow and I struggled to keep interest, but those were far and few between. At the end of the book I’m not going to say “oh yea I LOVE MY BODY” but just like Montgomery said… it is a long process, it isn’t going to happen overnight. I will continue to work on my body image and one day I’ll get to where I’m going.

Set It Free by T. Birmingham is the third book in the Fallen Eagles MC series. This is a book that will take you in a seriously emotional ride and will have you hooked on every word. I loved how vague the description felt when I first read it and I knew from that moment I was going to enjoy this book. I was drawn to the characters. They had such a depth to them that I couldn’t help but feel like I was going on their journey with them. This author really knows how to create an amazing story and this has to be one of my favourites so far!

What a brilliant action-packed fantasy read that is captivating from beginning to end. This is my first read from this author and she has created a mentally visual world that is vivid throughout. With adventure, magic, romance, mythology it makes an epic read that you don’t want to put down! Nikki Broadwell has created amazing characters that really help move the story along and make it much more realistic, this book had me wondering what would happen next and had me quickly turning the pages to find out more, but then it was over, and I wanted more! I can’t wait to read more from this series and see where this author take us.

Journeys Through SpaceTime (Journeys Through Book 1) by James Talisman is an amazing read. This isn’t usually a book I would read but after reading the Synopsis I became curious. This is a sci-fi/ fantasy book that is full of time travel, adventure and action. This book has many characters and scenery that the author did amazing job on giving detail to that you can envision while you read. After I started the book I realized I needed to read it at a slower pace so that I didn’t miss anything. I quickly became hooked on this book and I am so glad I chose to read it. I recommend this book!

I must admit right off the bat, I had no idea what I was going to be getting myself into with Game of Fear. I have never read anything by this author before, but I knew that I wanted to find out what this book was all about the moment I read the title and saw the cover. I was immediately hooked on the idea of a twisty psychological thriller and plunged right into the book head first.
It was a quick read with a rather predictable and typical mystery of someone is out to make our main character, Abbie Cooper, crazy when she receives a note and threat of “I know what you did.” Since the idea isn’t necessarily original I look for the book to be fantabulous in other ways like am I sitting on the edge of my seat? I was happy that for the most part this book kept me on the edge and reading right up until the end to figure things out. It was fast paced and I wasn’t bored. I am excited to see there will be more books available soon. I will be back for more to see what could come of it.

This book was a joy to read, I absolutely loved it! I love Ms Montgomery anyway she is one of my favourite authors and I have read many of her books but this one was different in that it was like delving into someone else’s life who you have never met personally and thinking about how much you actually have in common. There were things in this book that I have probably said and felt on a daily basis. I loved the way the authors amazing writing style came across even in something that is so different to her normal books – I am so glad I chose to start my 2020 reading journey with this one! There were definitely some great inspirational quotes in this book that I will use from now on! I 100% recommend this book – it really is a brilliant read and definitely not one you will be disappointed with!

I sincerely and entirely am in love with these Fallen Eagles MC books from T. Birmingham. Everything from the gorgeous covers that we are given with each of the books, to the tragic and epic stories that lie behind the beautiful covers is absolute perfection. I have felt every emotion I can name with a word while reading these books, and frankly T. Birmingham has become one of my favorite contemporary romance authors. I have to have more and soon, these books build up an addiction that runs through your mind when you aren’t submersed in the world that has been created by Birmingham.
I absolutely cannot say enough good about this book, and won’t divulge much more details than a quick review because I can’t bear to spoil one moment of the story for future readers. I would highly recommend that you read the first two books in the series before picking up this one to get into the story of Spring. There are repeating characters, and lots of background and build up that will make the story that much more enjoyable and easy to read as you go if you do so in order.
Spring’s story is one that will make you feel the absolute despair of her depression and yet you will fall back in love with the idea of love and all that it can heal if it is with the right person. Watching her pick herself up from rock bottom and the interaction that she has and the support that she has from Casper is a beautiful thing to read and follow and I can’t wait to read it all over again someday soon. I am dying for the next book and whatever else we might get from T. Birmingham soon! Grab your tissues and happy reading!

Jane Suen’s The Flowers in December Trilogy has been some of my favorite contemporary romance novels that I have read as of late. I enjoy how she manages to hook be deep into the story before I even finish the first few pages of a book she has penned. I loved Second Chance, the third and final book in the series, the most out of all of them. This book really closed the trilogy in a perfect and beautiful way that I just could not get enough of.
I would recommend that you read the first two novels prior to this one if you haven’t. I feel this series has evolved in both writing strength and the characters themselves. I suppose if you really wanted you could read them as stand alones though. This one brings us the conclusion of Connor’s story. He is our main character and really has changed so much from the very first book we read him in. I have probably just fallen in love with his character more and I never thought that was possible after book two. I look forward to finding out what will come next from the ever talented Jane Suen.

This is an amazing boxset. It includes three books that once you start reading are very hard to put down. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Jake Wolfe and his war dog Cody. Jake is a man who is resourceful and has been well trained as an assassin. In these stories, he finds himself a target by killers and helping a woman and her children when they are targeted by criminals. I enjoyed that his war dog Cody also assists him. Cody is a dog that is very intelligent, and I loved reading about him. What does the future hold for Jake and Cody? Read these books to find out. These stories had me on the edge of my seat wondering what will happen next. There is action and danger around every corner. Jake is someone who is intelligent and when challenged or becomes a target is not hesitant about breaking the rules in order to survive. I also enjoyed reading about the characters that help and interact with Jake. The books are very detailed, and I felt like I was right there with Jake and Cody. Don’t miss out on a box set that is thrilling and addictive. Highly recommended.

The Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery is a great story. I have read K.L. Montgomery before and have enjoyed them. This book is no different. This is a humorous, self loving, and learning book about your body. If you have ever hated the way you look, this book is for you. I personally I read this book in sections. I felt that I got more out of the book that way. This book does not hold back. It is in your face about your body. I enjoyed this book and would recommend this book to anyone who is not loving their body.

Journeys Through SpaceTime was a really good novel! It was a very enjoyable read, great characters and world building. It’s a science fiction fantasy novel, but there’s a lot more elements included than just those. I was instantly held in the pages as soon as I read the first chapter! Second Chance the last book in the Flowers in December trilogy by Jane Suen. Ms. Suen’s writing style is easy flowing and keeps you engaged throughout the story. The characters are complex. I could see myself being friends with Mary Ann. Mary Ann is the small town flower shop owner who falls in love with Connor. Connor walked out on Mary Ann and that caused hurt and misunderstanding. Will Mary Ann give Connor a second chance? Can Connor forgive himself?

The Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery is an inspiring read. This is one of my fave romcom writers and she writes as if she is talking with a friend and telling her personal story. This is a book hitting the heavy topics of dealing with having a positive body image but with a fun side to it. She includes different journaling activities and some daily encouragement. I like that she is honest and states early on she is not a medical professional but that if work is put in that a more positive body image can be gained. We are not all size zero and we have to love ourselves in order to keep a positive lifestyle and healthy relationships. She has everything from a playlist and different ways to encourage the process. Montgomery is honest and says this is not an overnight fix but something that has to be done consistently and everyday to make a difference. I look forward to following through with this process this year and see what changes at the end of the year for myself.

This is a great box set that has three books that have non stop suspense and mystery with each book. This author writes with creativity that makes you feel as if you are right there with the characters. The stories are well developed and with the main character Jake Wolf bring the stories to life. The twists and turns in each book will leave you turning pages and questioning what could be lurking in the shadows next. I highly recommend reading this series, you won’t regret picking it up.

I’ll be honest, at first I was like, ‘Is this book really going to help me?’ For Nearly 20 years, I’ve struggled with my fat and hating my own body, but, I figured I would give this an opportunity, the worst that could happen I spent some time reading a book and nothing changed. BUT, I was wrong, This was helpful, It did open my eyes, a few moments were like a good slap in your face (Think Cher and her “Schnap Out of It”) I loved the journaling assignments, and even the pain and the tears some of them brought with them, but It has helped me learn to love myself, which is something I’ve struggled with since i was ten. I just turned 30 back in April, and I hated and loathed myself so much, missed out on so much, but this book, honestly, and K.L.’s way she writes, (and curses) spoke to me so much, to me it felt as if an older version of myself was telling me to fix things and to fix them now before I did miss out on life. I recommend this to every girl who has every struggled with loving herself and her own self image. You will not be disappointed! 5 out of 5 Stars! (I’d give it 10 if i could)

Book 1 Wow what an adventure! Absolutely love Jake Wolfe!! He’s funny, smart, good looking, according to himself and so easy to either love or hate, depending on what you might be hiding. When wealthy lawyers around the city of San Francisco start dying, it is up to Jake and his photojournalist investigative skills to find the killer, known as The Artist, before the next person killed is Jake himself. Book 2 The excitement and danger starts from the very first chapter with the mystery starting on the very first page! Jake Wolfe is our main character and is back doing what he does best; protecting those in need of being protected, chasing the bad guys and making the cops mad. Book 3 Reading this story was like welcoming back an old friend. Mark Nolan easily brings Jake Wolfe to life. There is action, suspense and even a little romance in this story. Nolan takes us into the mind of not only Jake but also the psychopath killer.
Overall this book set is filled with adventure, danger and some laughter and a touch of romance. Worth it!

The Ash Park Series Box Set (Books 1-3): Famished, Conviction, and Repressed by Meghan O’Flynn. I’m always excited when a series does a box set I think it’s a great way to get introduced to new book series. This set is a great way to introduce yourself to not only these incredible books but this amazing author who knows what to write to keep readers coming back for more. Each story is packed with suspense and twists and turns I didn’t see coming. Each one is well written and paced nicely with characters that draw you into their world completely. If you’re looking for something unique pick up this set and dive in head first. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

Second Chance: The Conclusion of the Flowers in December Trilogy by Jane Suen is an emotional journey where my emotions were all over the place. This is a second chance romance story that I read in one sitting. The characters of Mary Ann and Connor Norton are likeable and well developed. There was some going back in time with Mary Ann’s history some helped but Jane is a master at never doing what you think should be and always leaves me a little frustrated. But having said that she always writes from the heart.
Connor’s withdrawal from the world after his mother’s death left Mary Ann wondering what was going on. When he recovers enough, he decides that he needs her but is she still there and waiting?

The Istanbul Conspiracy is the seventh thrilling instalment in the Code Raven series by Lynda Filler. This series just seems to get better and better, with each new instalment outdoing the one before. I don’t know how Ms. Filler manages to up the ante each time- but it sure makes for an exciting series. As we have discovered in the previous book/s, this series centres around the Raven Group, which is a top-secret special ops team- and each book in the series chronicles the action-packed mission/s they embark on. Even though each book is a ‘new’ adventure- there is a larger picture being woven in the background- so I would really recommend reading all the books in order to get the most out of your reading experience. All the action starts when a wedding becomes the scene of a violent attack. The Raven Group swoop in and do what they do best! Which makes for an engrossing read. This is definitely one of my favourites of the series, so far- the story was action-packed and dramatic, with danger, intrigue, suspense, twists, mystery, adventure, and gripping situations. A fantastic addition to the series! Can’t wait for more!

The Istanbul Conspiracy was a great five star read and book seven in the Code Raven series.
You get pulled in right from the beginning with a big wedding that turns tragic and another one that gets put on hold. When the Raven Group is hired to find out why Yunus and Sude’s wedding turned so tragic things get very interesting.
Why did the President cancel his attendance at the last minute but yet send his security? Will the Raven Group be able to solve the mystery? WIll Luke and Samaar finally get to say their I do’s?
There were several twists and turns throughout the book. I loved the guessing game of who, what and why. We get several POV’s in the book also. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. Lynda Filler has once again pulled me in with her writing and I couldn’t put it down. This is a great series and can be read as a stand alone, however I suggest reading from the beginning.

Game of Fear- A gripping psychological thriller with a shocking twist (Fearless Series) by Gledé Browne Kabongo is my first book by this author. The title peaked my interest as my favorite genre is psychological thriller. Her characters are fully developed and a bit mysterious. I feel as though I am apart of the story. This story kept me on the edge of my seat. It was such a roller coaster ride for my emotions. The story is about Abbie. Abbie had a goal to get into the Ivy League. But there is one problem, she did something bad and she is trying to keep it a secret. That proves to be hard since there was someone else knows her secret. Will Abbie get to the Ivy Leagues or will her secret come out?

5 Star Set it Free (Fallen Eagles MC Book 3) by T. Birmingham is a romantic suspense that I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t stop reading till the end. I’ve been patiently waiting for this book and definitely wasn’t disappointed. I would highly recommend reading the first two books if you haven’t already just because it will give you a better idea of the MC. I’m a huge fan of this Author and love MC’s. This story is about Callum and Spring. She has big dreams but is a hot mess,he doesn’t do committed relationships that is until he meets Spring . He can’t seem to stay away from her. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This author has been one of my favorite authors for quite sometime. This wasn’t one of my favorites by her but, I thought this book was ok. This book can be very helpful for just about anyone. There’s a lot of useful information and processes that if understood and followed one can learn how to love themselves. The author has a few pages where she wants you to keep a journal and gives you assignments. This book isn’t just for the “ fat girls “ the book touches on a lot of different body images. It’s just a way to help you learn to love yourself.

Loved this book! It’s the story of a normal high school girl who made a mistake and has now got to try and keep it secret. It’s got love and mystery, and a plot that you’ll never see coming. It kept me guessing right to the very end. It had me gripped from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until I devoured it all.

The Istanbul Conspiracy by Lynda Filler is the seventh book I’m the Code Raven series. This is a ok that is full of twists and turns and will certainly keep you reading. This series has been great so far and this book is no exception. The story is thrilling to read and the characters are interesting and well developed. The book really captures your attention and keeps you reading to the end. I can’t wait to see if there is more to come from this series!
