Dangerous Ground: Tina and Chase's StoryDangerous Ground: Tina and Chase’s Story by Alice Rachel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

DANGEROUS GROUND: Tina and Chase’s Story (Under Ground Book 5) by Alice Rachel is a heartbreaking and sad read. There is so much pain and tragedy, hopelessness and despair in this story that will have your emotions running wild and lots and lots of heart sobbing tears. Even though it is a heavy hearted story, there are small moments where there is love and hope. Some characters you will love, others not so much, I would even go as far as saying I hated them and what they stood for. It is a well written story and all I can say is, what an emotional journey it was to go through and get caught up in, everything our main characters, Chase and Tina go through.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tomb for an Eagle (Orkneyinga Murders Book 1) by Lexie Conyngham is an original and  engaging historical murder mystery story. The tale is as mysterious as it is  suspenseful, with a whose done it type theme. Lexi kept switching it up so you were  unable to pinpoint who committed the crimes. Just when you thought you were on the  right track, boom you were thrown off track. The writing is engaging, detailed and  descriptive and makes you feel like you are a part of the mystery. The story is set in my  favourite place in the world, Scotland but in a time where Vikings reined.

Sailors Knot (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 4)Sailors Knot by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sailors Knot (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 4) by Phoebe Alexander is an amazing second chance erotic romance and is possibly my favourite of the series. I love Phoebe’s writing and her wonderful characters and I could not wait to read about Casey’s story and let me tell you it did not disappoint. It is an emotional one as we go back in time to relive, Casey’s life story as she reminisces and shares advice with her friends. There is a lot of heartache and sacrifice, desire and passion, erotica and love. Casey is a larger than life person and her life’s story and her complicated love story, is just as monumental as the woman herself, who has suffered so much loss and heartbreak but could not be more compassionate. The ending could not have been more perfect. You go girl! I am not sure how she can beat this one but I can’t wait to see.

Isabella’s Painting: A Notorious Art Heist Mystery (Karina Cardinal Mystery Book 1) Ellen Butler is a great start to the series. Throw in the FBI, the Mob, a mysterious painting and some secrets and you have one suspenseful mystery that will keep you engrossed from start to finish. Karina is one sassy and strong, witty and headstrong individual and oh did I mention nosey; woman who has stumbled upon something that change the course of her life. The story was based upon a true story that Ellen shared and based on that she did a great job with writing this story and adding her own spin to things. If you like a good mystery Isabella’s Painting is the one for you.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Fifth Knight: An Arthurian Legend Reverse Harem Romance (The Knights of Caerleon series Book 1) by Jesikah Sundin and Claire Luana is a fantasy romance and is an interesting twist to the story of King Arthur and his knights and Merlin. I must admit as I started to read I thought here we go, another knights of the round table, it’s been done to death, but no Jesikah and Claire have written a unique tale which includes a woman as the fifth knight and how they each react to this startling revelation. The action and the flow of the words kept me fully engaged. Fionna is a kick arse sassy heroine and the knights are fun and playful and hot to boot but with a woman in the mix it certainly livens things up. Like every story there are villains and dark fae adding to the complexity of the quintet and their task.

Emotions run high in this book and at times I wanted to cry and others I was laughing out loud. The characters mad me love them all and just cracked me up. This story shows that families come in all shapes and sizes and even broken ones can be more than “whole” ones. The hurt and suffering and vulnerabilities that each and every one of this family of Brothers endured, are both heart aching and heart wrenching but together they are whole, well as much as they can be, as long as they have each other. I loved the bonds between them and their different, yet winning personalities and their playful and heart warming crazy banter. Redemption: An Ash Park Novel by Meghan O’Flynn is one not to be missed. It totally took me by surprise. Nope I totally did not see that coming. Never in a million years did I suspect that. Meghan has done an exceptionally fantastic job on this series and Redemption rounded everything off nicely. Except I am still pouting/heartbroken over the loss from the last book. As if being a woman in a business world where you have to fight twice as hard to prove yourself wasn’t hard enough. My rating: 4 of 5 stars

ALTERATIONS TRILOGY: Alterations, Game Changer, Primal Will by Jane Suen are a Sci Fi trilogy that are quick and easy reads.

Alterations is an interesting short tale and is full of suspense and mystery. The story is told in multiple POV’s which gives us the readers a better understanding of what the characters think, why they do what they do. Like our good doctor, Dr Kite. Is he a genius or is he Dr Frankenstein? Is he clever or is he crazy? And just what is he doing to people?

Game Changer: Book 2 holds you from start to finish. This book carries on in the same vein but has an under current of mystery and feels a tad sinister and I expect everything that is coming will end in an explosive way.

Primal Will: Book 3 is the last book in the trilogy and one that pulls a punch. Jane’s writing style and her plots keep you engaged every step of the way. Dr Kite is in the forefront of the story once again but is he still evil or will he trade it in a become Mr Nice? To find out you will just have to read this trilogy.
