Leaving Jackson Wolf by P.A Kane is a Young Adult coming of age story that is thought provoking and at times it was both heart wrenching and heartwarming with social issues and strong bonds of friendships. It is about a young man trying to come to terms with his ethnicity and where he fits both at home and in the world. It is a powerful and emotional read and one that you won’t be able to stop until it ends. P.A. has done a good job at writing a story that will leave you a little raw as you take the journey in to a world that shows the best and the worst of human nature. I look forward to reading more from Mr. Kane.

Fatal Legislation a Karina Cardinal Mystery is the second and brilliant book in the series by Ellen Butler. I enjoyed the first book but loved this one. Ellen has come up with a story that is full of danger and mystery, drama and suspense, intrigue and politics and has done a wonderful job of weaving it all together and making it into a gripping read. Throw in the FBI, an assassin, secret operatives and Karina Cardinal and you have a compelling murder mystery and an unpredictable story that you cannot put down. So much so I read it in one sitting. It has a fast pace read but it flows smoothly and is so, so, easy to read and get lost in. Karina Cardinal cracks me up. The situations she finds herself in sometimes boggles the mind. Her trusty side kick had me laughing out loud and I hope he continues in further stories. Karina is smart and hardworking, sassy and independent and once she is on to something she won’t let go and her boyfriend is determined she is going to give him a heart attack. Ellen is a great storyteller, leaving us hanging on every word and guessing the whole way through to the end. Trust me Ellen is one author that everyone should put on their read list. I cannot wait for the next Karina installment.

The Crazy Yates by Kimberly Packard is a very short, sweet and refreshing Christmas story about love and family and the things we do for them. I loved the characters and their situation will have your emotions all over the place .
Callie had to grow up fast, but she is one amazing selfless and hardworking woman and when it comes to family she will do anything to see them happy.
This is a Christmas story that everyone should read and be reminded of the magic of Christmas.
The Something Series – Box Set Books 1-3: (Tell Me Something, Ask Me Something & Bet Me Something) by Aubrey Bondurant
Tell Me Something is the first book in the series and is a great read!
Our main characters Haylee & Josh are from completely different backgrounds and lifestyles and they have both had more than their share of challenges, problems and heartbreak. When these two meet by chance, an opportunity Haylee can’t refuse is offered and the instant attraction leads to a sizzling connection that can’t be ignored. But will their issues become too much between them? Will they realise what they want before it tears them apart? Will Halyee survive the perceived betrayal or will Josh come to his senses before he looses her forever?
Ask Me Something is the second book in the series by and is a great read, even better than the first and that is saying something as I loved the first one!
In this story our main characters Sasha & Brian have worked together for years in the advertising industry and are the best of friends. When a promotion comes along she takes it but it means she has to move away and makes him her boss. Sasha may be a force to be reckoned with in the business world but on the inside she is fighting a secret she has never told anyone.
Brian is the complete opposite in that he is so laid back and easy going until he is in the bedroom, then things get to sizzling with this hot and sexy alpha male.
Bet Me Something is the third book in the series and it is every bit as good if not better than the others.
Kenzie and Colby are our main characters who have always been in each other’s lives as they grew up together. Colby and Kenzie who both are dealing with their own insecurities which are holding them back from having a fulfilling life. There were a few times I was mad with how they were treated and for how others treated them and for not standing up for themselves. But overall they are two beautifully smart, witty and intelligent people who you envy their easy going relationship, if only it could be more!
The secondary characters were just as entertaining as the main characters and had me laughing and crying right along with them. I love reading books by Aubrey, as I love her style of writing as it flows easily and the story lines she comes up with keep me hooked and fully invested and wanting to know more about the made for each other couples that I so adore.
There are so many wonderful characters that we have learned about in this series but there are still so many that we need to have their stories told. You will find yourself laughing and crying, holding your breath, heartbroken and jealous as you walk through the Something series world. There are many, many emotional twists and turns and insecurities that will have you biting your nails and hoping for the best. I absolutely love all the witty remarks and the easy banter between all these characters and their loyalty and friendships. When these men love they love hard and fast and set the sheets on fire.
I look forward as always to all future reads from Aubrey as she is one talented author.

Untamable by Jamie Schlosser is a standalone book and is a romantic comedy. I laughed and cried throughout the entire story that was highly entertaining. It was fun with lots of humour that kept you enthralled and not wanting it to stop. Jamie did a great job of writing the characters that seem so real, honest, charming and witty.
What Emery finds when he takes on his next project is nothing at all what he was expecting, in many ways. He wonders if he has bitten off more than he can chew when coming face to face with the problem.
Estelle needs help, there is no denying it and there is apparently only one man capable of taking on her problem.
Will Emery be able to assist the lovely Estelle and take care of her problem? Will he see more than the woman that needs help? Will Emery see more to this woman than meets the eye?
This is a sweet and hilarious read that you do not want to miss. Jamie is a very clever writer that has found the right mix. I look forward to her next book.
The Confectioner’s Truth (Confectioner Chronicles Book 3) by Claire Luana is a fantasy, thriller, romance story. It is also the last book in the Confectioner’s Chronicles series. Claire once again has woven her magic with the perfect blend of mystery and suspense, action and danger, romance and intrigue, heartache and love, humour and fun. It’s another page turner that is so engrossing and enthralling that it feels like it is over before it began. Wren is heartbroken and still reeling from the loss and betrayal of others. On the run, tired, scared, hurt and faced with her past all the while the political unrest continues and Wren wonders if she will ever have her family back and lead a normal life again. Once again it is a book that should be on everyone’s to read list.

Venganza: The Fuentes Legacy by Greta Cribbs is definitely an interesting story. One that I am not sure how I feel about it. On one hand it is a quick and compelling read, but on the other hand I was sickened by the heart wrenching turn of events but it is like watching a train wreck, you cannot stop looking. It is a very, very, emotional read and I felt all of the pain and suffering, betrayal and loss that the main character felt. Greta is good at writing very detailed scenes that you can visualise so easily and sometimes get lost in that detail. There is a lot of very, very, dark and graphic scenes to this story that many may be uncomfortable with. The Fuentes Legacy is nothing to be proud of and the dark secrets and lies they keep are atrocious and I found myself wanting to do some serious harm to them. There is lots of drama and suspense, horror and pain, guilt and suffering in this dark tale will go straight to your heart and emotions. So if you like dark and twisted stories then this is story that you will like.

The Confectioner’s Coup (Confectioner Chronicles Book 2) by Claire Luana is a fantasy story that should not be missed. Claire weaves her magic with just the right amount of mystery and suspense, action and danger, romance and intrigue, heartache and love, humour and fun. I enjoyed the story so much that it finished before I was ready and I didn’t even notice because I was so enthralled to find out what was going to happen next. Wren was falsely accused of murder and barely survived, now she is having to face enemies, both old and new as she tries to solve the mystery behind disappearing Guild members. There are some twists and turns that sneak up on you but once again it is a book that should be on everyone’s to read list.
Untrainable by Jamie Schlosser is a sweet and unique rom com story that will melt your heart. The characters are plenty loveable and their witty banter had me laughing out loud and the chemistry is just sizzling. This is the second book I have read from Jamie and I like her writing style which is easy to read and simplistic. She writes the perfect blend of humour and emotion and weaves it so beautifully and easily. There is more to Theo, than what the press portray. His hard and emotional past has left its mark and he is down on his luck. All he needs is a second chance and hopefully what he has planned will get him there. Hadley is being offered a chance of a lifetime but why her? Will she accept the offer and end up with much more than she bargained for? This book has a delight and I am looking forward to reading more from her.
Forgetting Ophelia: A Novel by Julie C. Gardner is an interesting story about a woman who is finding herself after her life is turned upside down. Trouble is, I am not entirely sure she knew what that looked like. It is a story about secrets and denial, loss and new beginnings and finding yourself. The story started out slow but gained momentum quickly. It was also an emotional read and I felt all of Lia’s pain and suffering, betrayal and loss, yes I needed tissues. As much as the story annoyed me at times it kept me engrossed and I had to know how it turned out. Lia and Jake had the perfect life, according to their plan, but was that plan what they both wanted? But secrets changed everything. Was it really ever the perfect life? Starting over was not in the plan. Rediscovering yourself is never easy. Taking stock of your life is daunting. Taking a good look at yourself is hard. Jake, well what can I say, he is an idiot, he chose a path that he regretted and I wanted to shake him up.
Snatching Dianna (Feisty Lawyers Book 1) by Seelie Kay is cleverly written and a quick read but a good read. The story has it all with intrigue and danger, suspense and action, humour and romance, drama and mystery. I really loved the beginning of this gripping tale. I love the characters whom are very endearing and very realistic and their chemistry and antics and their easy comradery and banter.
Dianna Murphy is missing. Janet an ex-secret agent, now Law Professor, enlists the help of her husband, a covert operative and the local police chief to track her down. What they find is a trafficking ring that is an around the world operation. Will they be able to reach Dianna before her life is on the line and she is so far beyond help?

Guilty Pleasures Volume 2: Guilty Pleasures by Joyce McCarthy is a collection of very short erotic stories, that make the air sizzle and your temperature rise. Each one different to the others as Brad comes into his sexuality and explores his time with each of his sexual encounters. Fantasies that become more than fantasies, lust and desires are met, forbidden fruit and encounters where nothing is off limits.
If you want something that is quick and easy to read with a little sizzle, a little steam and a lot hot then this is the book for you!
Claiming Her Mates: Book One: (A paranormal shifter romance series) by Dia Cole is an original idea and not your normal wolf shifter story. The world is thrown into pandemonium when a “flu” breaks out and a zombie apocalypse. The action starts right from beginning and definitely grabs your attention. It is a good start for the series and oh so sexy and oh so hot, with a lot of sizzle and passion as well.
Three Lycos shifters have been tasked to find one woman. A woman that their Alpha has ordered them to find and protect. A woman that changes all their lives. A woman that seems to be in danger not only from the pandemic but also the Lycos population and themselves.

Hope’s Deceit (The Fated Book 2) by Angela McPherson starts right where the first leaves off and boy oh boy what a ride. Angela’s writing and her creativity has given us a creative twist of the aftermath of Pandora’s box in modern time. The danger and action and thrills and spills start from the very start and doesn’t end. As with the first book, I was unable to put it down and read it in one sitting. Angela has the knack to convey a story that you can picture in your mind, keeps you engrossed and intrigued page after page. Well done Ms McPherson. There are a lot of answered questions from the first book and some banter that will see you laughing. What they never expected was evil becomes good and good becomes evil and the very thing that could end the world of hope and light.

Hope’s Decree (The Fated Book 1) by Angela McPherson is an amazing start to the series. This paranormal Greek Mythology story is full of mystery and intrigue, danger and action and thrills and spills and the elusive bad guys hold you captive. Angela keeps you on your toes as a reader, not being able to put the book down and wanting to know more, I literally read it in one sitting. It is a tale of Pandora’s box and one of hope that rests on one woman’s shoulders.
Trinity has always been a normal teenager but everything she knows is about to be turned upside down as she is thrown into a world that she thought was only a myth.
Blain has spent millennial’s looking for the one. The one that is the world’s hope, but what he discovers is something he didn’t expect to find, something that turns his world upside down.

Degrees of Power (A Prestian Series Book 4) by Via Mari is the fourth and last book in the series. My love hate relationship with Katarina continues but she does redeem herself in this book where she finally shows some strength and courage. The mystery and intrigue, danger and action and thrills and spills and the elusive bad guy continues to play havoc and we find our characters in some harrowing and dramatic situations. The intrigue of the story and the drama that unfolds hold you captive as does the scorching heat between the sheets and everywhere else that was available. Don’t get me wrong I love a story that has lots of explicit sex but seriously, the man needs therapy. LOL. I think this book is the best of the series but the ending fell a little flat for me, there could have been more on the demise of the baddies.
What I do love is that through it all they are determined to fight for each other and their love of not only each other but those they consider family and friends. But let’s not forget those trusted men who are always in the background just taking care of the bad guys. I would love to see them get their own stories.

A Frothy Christmas Kiss is a another enjoyable christmas romance read by Allyson R. Abbott. It is a quick romance story that is as sweet as it is rich in aroma. Allyson is good at writing quirky, engaging and sweet romances and this one fills you with warmth and feel goods.

Reckless – An Anthology by Mika Jolie, Kylie Stewart, P.M. Carson, Sharla Lovelace is a compilation of for short romance stories. Each and every story is fresh and exciting and just as intriguing and enjoyable as the next. Layla’s Chance by Mika Jolie—Layla escapes her high powered world as a Lawyer, to regroup after her years of hard work have been for naught. What she finds is someone that turned her life upside down and shows her what she has been missing.

Never Let Me Fall (Fatal Dreams #3) by Abbie Roads is another great book in the Fatal Dreams series where the legend continues. It is a supernatural story that is full of darkness and suspense, pain and suffering, destiny and love. Each book is about couples that are bound by a legend where they are destined to be together. Where the connection together is life long and undeniable. This series is one of my favourites and is a compelling and engrossing read that you can not put down until you know how it ends. Abbie is very very good at writing something so dark but also so sweet.
Helena is living a life not of her making. Being accused of something she didn’t do but no one believes her. Freedom is not far away but can she survive long enough to get there. Thomas is damaged and lived through a horrific and tragic past by a monster that he has to live with every day.
All it takes is one look, and their lives change in a way neither of them would have ever thought. If only they can defeat the monster that won’t let go. If only they can escape from the dark.
Even though there is a lot of dark content in this story it is one that grips your heart to the point of tears and makes you hope against hope that these beautiful broken people find peace and love in their lives.

The Moon in Her Eyes: a witch’s tale by Nikki Broadwell is a fantasy and is full of magic and witches both good and evil. The characters were likeable and the story was set over a lot of different time zones and was a bit hard to keep track of it all. The overall theme of time travel and plot were interesting and I became engrossed in the story because I had to know how it ended. It is not my favourite by Nikki but I was intrigued. At times the main character annoyed me and I wanted to smack her but I had to remember she really was a young adult.
Overall it is a good story that should be added to your to read pile. Enjoy.

Rhapsody and Rebellion: Once Upon a Window (Enduring Legacy #7) by Aubrey Wynne is a historical romance. There is lots of action and drama, suspense and tragedy, love and second chances. Aubrey has created a story that is totally engrossing and you will find yourself fully immersed in the story as it unfolds. She has woven a tale that is intriguing and has a little bit of everything, with all the Political turmoil and Highlander historical events, rebellion and Scottish legends, Folklore and special gifts. The storyline is well written and the characters completely draw you in to them. Having visited Scotland and the highlands it is easy to see all that Aubrey has laid out for us.

Only This Tuesday: A Copper Mills Novella by Melissa Keir is a short romance story, about falling in love and overcoming adversity. I really enjoyed this tale that Melissa has shared and I fell in love with the town and the main characters. It is also one of emotions and deals with issues of helping those with disabilities. There is one character that you will love to hate because of who she represents and the things she does but she gets what is coming to her. The world in which Melissa has written is simplistic and charming and just the place to fall in love. All in all it is a story that will take you on a magical journey. So relax and settle in to enjoy.

A Second Chance (Powder River Pack Book 1) by Brooke May is a second chance romance shifter story and a good start to the series. The characters were likeable and there is a lot of emotions in this story and pain and sorrow are the main attraction and all because of lies. I loved the best friend, he bought fun to the story and had me laughing out loud at times.
Separated by lies and deceit, two people have lived with heartache and pain ever since. What happens when one returns to the place it all happened? What happens when they find out what kept them apart? What happens when they can no longer deny their feelings?
If you love shifters and want to know the answers to the questions above then you will need to grab a copy and enjoy.

Santa’s Little Helper by Shaan Ranae is a short read but is a fun and quirky little Christmas romance and one I fell in love with. It is told in the male perspective and it had me laughing out loud from start to finish. I would have loved it if the story was longer but it was so much more due to the simplicity of the telling. One sassy red haired helper and one man who learns the true value of family values, all come together to bring you a quick story that will melt your heart.

They range from stories told in earlier times to current times and even the paranormal, but each one is about heroes, falling in love and the joy of the season. There is also a lot of emotions in the stories and some may bring you to tears. Shoot Me by Lynda Filler is the second book in the Lie To Me Series. It is a steamy action packed and a fast paced story that throws you into the world of cartels and political unrest. It shows us the real Mexico and the shadier side of things and their social issues and crime. The situations that the characters see on their journey are often heartbreaking and eye opening. Lynda shows us a scenes of children without family and poverty, corruption and murder which makes this one emotional read at times as you imagine it within your mind.
It is a tale of passion and erotica where men are just waiting in line to experience the lovely American writer and her coming to grips with how her life is now and what she is shown when she turns up to a new beginning.
This is one thought provoking tale that will make you sit up and take notice as it makes your heartache, making you realise that the life you lead is not as bad as it could be.

Eastern Shore Swingers Books 1-3 (Boxed Set) by Phoebe Alexander is a collection of books that are amazing erotic romance stories about a swinger’s club in Ocean City Maryland. I love Phoebe’s writing and her wonderful characters that feel like part of the family that are a close and would do anything for each other. Phoebe draws you in with intrigue and mystery, seduction and love and erotica and the unknown. The books are a great read with some really hot sex scenes.
Fisher of Men – Cap is easy on the eye and when he spots the beautiful Leah he starts to think what if’s. However, will his lifestyle scare her off? Will she be open to what he wants to share? Will he be able to give up what he enjoys and keep her too? Will her upbringing cause trouble in paradise?
The Catch – Paisley Parker is happy in her own skin and wears it well but deep down there is more going on but will she be able to face the truth and move on? There are hot and steamy scenes that will curl your toes and romance and laughter. It was also nice to check in on old friends, Leah, Cap and Casey from the first book.
Siren Call – The mysterious Sirena has secrets and a past she would rather keep to herself but as we find out more about her we see a connection like no other between Sirena and Jessie.
I recommend this box set and any other works by Phoebe.
A Tangy Christmas Kiss Allyson R. Abbott is a captivating christmas romance. It is a short read but it hits all the marks. It is a sweet story that was entertaining and engaging and will make you laugh. It really was a comedy of errors from start to finish.
Mel can’t say no to her mum and this is where she finds herself on a trip of a lifetime. Or is it? Tired, different countries, a different language and a menagerie, yep, she is in over her head and anything that can go wrong definitely does.
Looking for a little something to relax for a few hours then grab a copy and enjoy.
