Right in Front of You (Morris Valley Gang Book 1) by Brooke May – Review by Kerry Carr

Right in Front of You Vol. 1 Brinley and AdrianRight in Front of You Vol. 1 Brinley and Adrian by Brooke May
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this romance story. It is a very sweet small town romance which has an element of danger. It is the first in the Morris Valley Gang Series.I loved the characters and their development through the story. The author does an amazing job of making the characters likeable and relatable. The feelings and emotions of this story really come though and you can’t help be swept away along with Brinley and Adrian.

Brinley leaves her home town and her circle of friends behind as a kid when her parents move her to Texas. Since they she has worked hard and has become a successful shooter. Now however she feels its time to return home, back to her friends and the place she always felt safe in and hopefully away from a stalker. All she is hoping is to reunite with her friends and go back to a quiet life that is until Adrian walks into her life.

Adrian is a local rancher. Every since he got his heartbroken he keeps to himself working on his family ranch and not entertaining love until he meets Brinley.
As the connection grows what starts as a fling has the potential to become something more for them both, however danger is still lurking in the shadows and when Brinley’s stalker returns Brinley is in danger again.

Can Adrian protect Brinley from this danger? Will Brinley stay with him and her friends despite the danger or will she feel the need to run again and in doing so break Adrian’s heart.
The connection between Adrian and Brinley practically jumps off the page and their attraction is what captives the reader with the added danger this is definately a romance that you won’t be able to put down. I can’t wait to read more.

Unexpected Entanglement (The Echo Series Book 3) by C.R. Alam – Review by Kerry Carr

Unexpected Entanglement (Book 3 of the Echo Series)Unexpected Entanglement by C.R. Alam
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 3rd book in The Echo Series. I highly recommend reading the books in order so you get a better feel for the characters as previous characters show up in this story. However it could be read as a standalone because it mainly focuses on the two main characters Chris and Rowan.
This story has a mixture of everything. The romance is a slow burn as circumstances mean that Chris and Rowan have to pretend to be a couple. So what happens when faking being in love actually turns into the real thing? This is something neither of them expected to happen or were looking for. All Chris had to do was help Rowan pull off her cousins wedding, but as attraction sizzled between them and strange things started happening he knew there was no way he could walk away from her.

As a reader you can’t help but fall in love with the characters which just goes to show how much love and character the author puts into them. They are more than just words on a page you can imagine them as living breathing beings and you feel every emotion they go through. I really enjoyed this emotional heartfelt story.

The Sweet Temptations Trilogy (Sinful Delights) by L.M. Mountford – Review by Kerry Carr

The Sweet Temptations Trilogy (Sinful Delights)The Sweet Temptations Trilogy by L.M. Mountford
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a collection of 3 short but very steamy stories. This is a collection of stories that have action, lust, friends to enemies, secret fantasies and a feeling of why choose when you can have everything you want.

The babysitter- This is the first story and is an age-gap romance. We do however meet all the characters that are in the following stories during this time as well.
Here is where we meet Richard and his wife Alice. Their marriage has got a bit boring and uneventful since the birth of their son, so when Richard finds out the babysitter has a thing for him and she makes moves on him, he is unable to resist. Giving into temptation and allowing himself to get lost in the arms of another women is only the start of his adventures.

The boss’s daughter- This is an enemies to lovers romance. We are back with Richard who has been tasked with a case to crack by the bosses daughter. After Scarlett catches Richard and the babysitter up to no good in his office she decides she is going to use this against him to get what she wants. Namely him. However things don’t go as she had planned and when she loses her dominance over Richard she awakens a side of him that she never knew existed before. Maybe Richard isn’t such a push over after all?

Menage A Trois- This is the 3rd book and wow what a way to end this set. Alice knows things need spicing up a bit in her marriage so she sets out to surprise Richard when he returns home and boy does she do that.
When Alice hears screaming from her neighbours( the babysitters) apartment she rushes to help. After taking Rebecca away from her abusive father she comforts the girl and listens as Rebecca spills her soul. Including the fact that she got intimate with Richard. Alice is angry and wants revenge so she plans to play Richard at his own game. But what happens when Richard returns home to witness his wife and lover together? Will this be a happy ending for them all? Or will this be the final straw that breaks their marriage completely?

Your Trainer Says Hi! (Vengeful Vixens Book 2) by Indie Sparks – Review by Kerry Carr

Your Trainer Says Hi!Your Trainer Says Hi! by Indie Sparks
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a great story of lust and revenge. It is a romcom and I really loved the characters of Nadine and Wick. Both of these characters are bad ass in their own way and it’s this confidence and arrogance that makes the sparks fly between them.

The story starts with Nadine realising that her now ex boyfriend took money from their joint business to fund a new venture(which is a scam). Furious that he has risked her dream and also the betrayal of just taking the money she ends the relationship and takes revenge but taking his personal trainer.

When Nadine and Wick met they clash. Wick is an arragone ass and he winds Nadine up constantly but it doesn’t take long for that hate to turn into sexual tension and when Nadine gets a glimpse of the dominant side of Wick she can’t help but want more.
But things won’t be plain sailing as Nadine and Wick still have to endure her ex getting involved in their lives.
This is a great steamy romcom. There are laughs and the banter between the characters really brought the story to life.
One thing I really liked is how Nadine sets out to get revenge by sleeping with the trainer her ex idolises but what she ends up with is more than she could ever imagine.

The Lone Star Child (The Gods’ Scion Book 3) by Winnifred Tataw – Review by Kerry Carr

The Lone Star ChildThe Lone Star Child by Winnifred Tataw
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 3rd book in The God’s Scion series. This is a fast paced sci-fi adventure which will keep you turning pages from beginning to end. I do highly recommend reading the other 2 books in the series first so you get a complete picture of the characters and their world because the author’s writing really creates the magical worlds and adventures.

Caro is the Space Acolyte. When she is kidnapped this starts a series of events that the God’s don’t even realise is coming. There is something stopping the other Acolytes from finding her. There are secrets that will be revealed. Secrets that currently mean that they can’t find Caro.

Where is she? Has she been taken? If so by who?
Caro finds herself trapped with an enemy that had a millenia to plot their revenge against the people that made them outcasts. All they need is the help of one Space Acolyte. Now they sense their freedom is near and the chance for them to get their revenge is close and the best part is the God’s won’t even see it coming.
Can the other Acolytes find and rescue Caro before its too late? What will happen if the enemy succeeds in their play to get free and seek their revenge. And with so many secrets being reveled how will the Acolytes know how to trust.

This book is such a strong story filled with so much rage and hatred, secrets and lies, drama and adventure, family problems and histories and the risk of war and the unleashing of monsters that even the God’s couldn’t predict. You will be captivated by this book and unable to stop reading until the end.

Obedience (Ties That Bind Book 1) by Liza Snow – Review by Kerry Carr

ObedienceObedience by Liza Snow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book in the Ties That Bind series. This was a romance story but it was very unique for me in that it was set in the circus and was a romance between the mentor and his student. The author’s writing was so good I could actually picture the stunts that were being performed and the intense atmosphere around the performers. This romance is definately a slow burn but when it starts it is electric. The attraction has been there between Cassandra towards Chandler for as long as she can remember, so when she finally gets the position of learning under his guidance this is a dream come true for her.
However Chandler never thought for one minute he would fall for his student and with both of them having problems and secrets in their pasts the road to their romance will be anything but a smooth ride. The ending leaves you on a cliff hanger and I can’t wait to carry on reading.

This age-gap romance has a little bit of everything for everyone. Personally I could imagine how amazing it feels for Cassandra to finally be near her idol and as their connection grows it becomes such a rollercoaster of emotions you just have to hang on and hope you don’t fall.

With Fire and Sword (Thunder On The Moor Book 4) by Andrea Matthews – Review by Kerry Carr

With Fire and Sword (Thunder on the Moor, #4)With Fire and Sword by Andrea Matthews
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 4th book in The Thunder On The Moors series. I really recommend reading these books in order as the story continues through them and you would miss out on a lot of the characters backstories and history which may make it a bit of a confusing read.

This is a historical time travelling romance. I love the author’s attention to details in the time period and the descriptions and writing reflect that period which makes you feel like you are experiencing it first hand. Being a historical story there is a lot of adventure and danger as the rival clans are constantly at war with one another.
Will and Maggie have finally escaped back to the twentieth century. After everything they have been through they feel they could finally be together and be safe. However that isn’t the case. When Dylan finds a problem in the fabric of time he finds a way to contact Will and Maggie to tell them they need to return as them not doing so would change both time periods and it wouldn’t be for the better.

There are several problems though. 1stly the amulet they use to travel is out of stone so it doesn’t work anymore, 2nd they don’t know what exactly they need to do to fix the fabric of time and save both time periods and finally what will happen if they return. The whole reason they left was because it wasn’t safe for them so will returning prove to be a huge mistake?

The author’s writing is amazing and as a reader you feel transported in time, following the characters as they try to find the balance between doing what’s right and finally having their happy ever after.

The author’s attention to details really makes you feel like you are back in 16th Century in the Scottish borders. I loved this even more as that’s where I currently live so it was nice to imagine going back to that time period.

Overall the story is fast paced and engaging. You won’t be able to put it down until you find out if Maggie and Will can fix the tear in the fabric of time.

Insomnia: (A Short Stories Collection) by Kelly Covic – Review by Kerry Carr

Insomnia (A Short Stories Collection)Insomnia by Kelly Covic
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a great collection of short stories. I can’t pick a favourite as I love them all. The stories are all different. From unseen things in the dark, things going bump in the night, invisible friends with evil intent and a story of a life after death there is something for everyone.
There have been stories that made me shiver with fear, parts where I was scared to carry on ready and in the final story my heart felt so sad for everyone affected my the loss of their loved one.

This book is called Insomnia and I can understand why. Some of these stories definately need to be read with the light on while others make you think and gives you a sense of sadness as you hear the stories being told.
I don’t normally like scary stories but I really enjoyed these stories. Even the ones that made me jump.

Messenger (Star-Crossed Celestials Book 2) by A.L. Morrow – Review by Kerry Carr

Messenger (Star-Crossed Celestials Duet #2)Messenger by A.L. Morrow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 2nd book in the Star- Crossed Celestials Duet series. I would really recommend reading these books in order so you follow the story of our characters and understand how they are in the position they start this story from. This is a paranormal MM romance. It is also a twist on Romeo and Juliet. This is a story of forbidden love and all the pain and hurt that goes along with it when you can’t be with the person you really love because of circumstances out of your control. Jace and Cyrus finally found each other and found their soul mates, however that wasn’t meant to be. With Jace being removed by law and Cyrus choosing to stay to carry on protecting the world by keeping demons under control the lovers are forced apart.
Jace is a Watcher who’s job is the look after the humans and keep the demons under control. Cyrus is a Messenger and his role is to keep the Watchers under control. Because of their differences they shouldn’t be together. Its not right or the way things should be. When Jace is involved in trouble he is banished from Las Vegas leaving his home, family and love behind.
Neither Cyrus or Jace are coping well being apart and Cyrus is trying desperately hard to find him to reunite with him. But with a war that keeps breaking out, being monitored by his fellow Messengers and an ex lover who will stop at nothing to get Cyrus back it’s going to be one long fight for him to find the man he truly loves.

This story is emotional, you can really feel the heartbreak and torment that both Jace and Cyrus go through being apart and also their determination to find a way to get back to one another.
The author really brings this story to life and invites the reader into a world that is fast paced, engaging and makes you feel like you are beside Jace and Cyrus every step of the way.

I really enjoyed this friends to lovers romance story. It was really fast paced which made it an easy read. The characters were so engaging that you felt completely invested in them from the beginning. I read this book in one sitting as I couldn’t put it down.

Rogue (The Talisman Series Book 6)Rogue by Tam DeRudder Jackson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 6th book in The Talisman series. I really enjoyed this paranormal romance. This is a story of good vs evil with hints of celtic mythology. It involves fated mates, magic, a curse, a one man’s search for survival and redemption by finding his fated mate (Talisman).
This story is action packed and the author has a unique way of writing that grips and reader and doesn’t let you go. I would recommend reading the books in order so you can get the full story with regards to the evil that has cursed the warriors and what it means. This story is told from several points of view which keeps the story engaging and moving forwards at a fast pace. I love the main characters of Delany and Baz. They are both strong characters fighting for and protecting the people they care about. When they meet they are enemies but what do you do when you realise that your enemy could possible the fated mate you’ve been searching for your whole life.

This story is full of action packed adventure and a romance that is so special that I couldn’t put it down until the end. It was one story that I completely lost myself to and really enjoyed.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 3rd book in the Chase Care Series. Even though it is part of a series it can be read as a standalone. This story is an amazing mix of medical emergency, danger, Romance and secrets from the past being revealed.
I loved both our leading character Peter Walter and Rowena Anderson.
Our character have history together, sparks flew and chemistry was so strong all those years ago when they were working together.
Fast forward and Peter is still risking his life to save people and Rowena returned home to work at the hospital. Neither expected to see each other again. Until a mission with casualties and a storm means they have to arrive at Rowena’s hospital for treatment.
When Peter and Rowena meet again the chemistry is back instantly but can they rekindle their spark from years before? And what happens when secrets from the past could change both their lives.
Add to the romance the danger of a kidnapping that went wrong and a very dangerous man on the loose it just adds an dangerous element to the story.

Fallen Soul (War of Destiny Book 4) by Theresa Van Spankeren – Review by Kerry Carr

Fallen Soul (War of Destiny # 4)Fallen Soul by Theresa Van Spankeren
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 4th book in the War of Destiny series. This is a gripping and engaging vampire story. I would definately recommend reading these books from the beginning so you get the full story. The author does an amazing job with the writing which makes this paranormal adventure story seem almost possible.
Lane has been through so many trials and troubles since becoming a vampire. He has been forced to escape his home land after the vampire King wanted his head. But now Lane has decided he wants to return home.
What follows is Lane’s story of him finding his way home but the path isn’t an easy one. With a bounty over his head he doesn’t know who he can and can’t trust. Everyone is out for his. So he is thrown off guard when he meets a strange woman and a group of vampires who don’t try and kill him and don’t run from him.
Is this a group of vampires he can trust or are they just playing him for another reason

This is a story of danger at every turn, chaos and fighting for your life. There are some sections of violence which maybe too much for some people to read bit overall I loved this story and the character growth in this series.

Braving Lily (True Platinum Series Book 7) by Morgana Bevan – Review by Kerry Carr

Braving Lily (True Platinum, #5)Braving Lily by Morgana Bevan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book 5 in the True Platinum series. The good thing is these books can be read as a standalone as each book features a different couple. In this story we are with Lilly and Rhys.

I loved the fact that in this rockstar romance the rockstar it Lilly. She is a fiesty, strong confident person who is fed up of having her love life spread all over the gossip pages. After her last heartbreak she has sworn off romance and is concentrating on her career which is really taking off. However all that changes when she auctions off 1 date and Rhys reluctantly walks into her life.

Rhys has his own past heartaches to deal with and dating is the last thing he ever wants to do especially not dating a spoilt star who always gets her own way. When his mum wins the auction he is given the date which is doesn’t want. When he stands her up hoping to save them both from wasting their time the last thing he expected was the star to turn up on his door step.

What follows is a story with a lot of chemistry between Rhys and Lilly but also a lot of issues of learning how to trust and love again. Will the rockstar walk into his life and change it for the better? Or will their lack of trust and past relationships and heartbreaks stop both of them finding the love they deserve?

White Picket Fences by Kyle Ann Robertson – Review by Kerry Carr

White Picket FencesWhite Picket Fences by Kyle Ann Robertson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a really interesting read. I really loved this author’s writing. It felt like the author’s writing was describing my life in parts. As a mother I know the feeling of losing yourself when you have kids. You do everything you can to protect and support your kids that in the process you lose yourself and the relationships you had before the kids came along.
Julie Cahill has tricky life growing up. She was always on the move never staying for long periods of time in one place she never felt like she was settled or that a place was home. She vowed that her own children wouldn’t grow up that way.
Fast forward and her family are dealing with a sudden loss. No parent imagines they will have to bury their child. Now the whole family are dealing with this loss, Julie’s relationship with her husband is suffering and she is trying to hold on tighter to her girls to protect them like she couldn’t protect her son.
Julie is battling grief because the one time she did something to rediscover herself was the same day the accident happened and Curtis was taken away from the family.
This is a story of love, grief, loss of a loved one and loss of yourself and about rediscovery. It is a very heartwarming and moving story and there is definately parts that I could relate to.

Dawnbreaker: The House of Blood and SunDawnbreaker: The House of Blood and Sun by Hadley Thorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this fantasy romance. The author does a amazing job with world building and also giving the characters backstories which makes you feel like you have known them for years even though its the first book. I loved the twist of a vampire and a Fae romance but it works and is such a powerful story. They are two people who you wouldn’t think work but fate has other plans for them. Will Niamh be the person to make Connor feel alive again?
This isn’t a straightforward romance however with a strained relationship between Niamh and her mum putting pressure and disapproval on their relationship, things take a darker turn when Niamh is taken and her memory lost and she is left in the world of man.
Can Connor find her in time and remind her of who she is and what they share?
This is a fast paced story which a blossoming romance, danger, folklore and myths. A collection of elements that all work together and make this story a very unique read.

His Forever Muse (The Echo Series Book 2) by C.R. Alam – Review by Kerry Carr

His Forever Muse (Book 2 of The Echo Series)His Forever Muse by C.R. Alam
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is such an emotional friends to lovers romance. This is the second book in The Echo Series however it can be read as a standalone and still be enjoyed.
I love this author’s writing. There are sensitive issues such as domestic violence in this story and the author handles it in a way that isn’t too graphic but gives the reader just enough information to get a feel of what it is like to be in a relationship like that.
Brandon Rossi is a talented musician and artist but just recently he’s lost his mojo. There is something missing from his life but he doesn’t know what that is until he meets Calliope.

Calliope is a art gallerist. After the trauma from her past relationship which left her a broken person she had managed to rebuild herself and her life. She puts on a front of being a happy complete person but that isn’t the case. She is still broken inside and feels she will never be complete until her path crosses with Brandon again.

Their connection hasn’t go away even after all these years and this could be their chance to finally give their love a chance.
But things aren’t that simple and when Calliope’s abusive ex returns it could mean the end of their budding romance.
This is a heartbreaking and moving story about second chance love and overcoming all odds to find their happy ever after but would is Brandon strong enough to protect her and safe her from her past and the demons that still lurk?

Destiny of Light (Quirk of Destiny Book 3) by Catherine Greenall – Review by Kerry Carr

Destiny of Light (Quirk of Destiny, #3)Destiny of Light by Catherine Greenall
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the third and final book in the Quirk of Destiny Trilogy. This story has been a great read from the first book to the last. The author writes in a way that makes the events of the story scarily realistic which as a reader definately makes you worry and think about what you would do if you were in this situation.
In this story we have Genies who are evil trying to destroy the world, the Elites who have magical powers and the remaining human survivors trying to survive day to day.
I would definately recommend reading these books in order to fully appreciate the story. This final installment is just as action packed as the other two with everyone fighting for survival. There is a strong theme of good vs evil running through this story and we finally get to understand who the Elite people are and what role they played in the contamination to the world’s food supply.
As Calum and the fellow survivors try to find other people like themselves they have barriers placed in their way from both the Elite( powerful and evil people) and the Genies (people who were changed by the modified and corrupted food) neither of which want him to succeed. With so much loss that has happened in this post apocalyptic world can Calum and his fellow survivors continue to survive or will it just been too much for them as the Elite and Genies get stronger.

This story is action packed and full of danger. Can Calum and his friends uncover the conspiracies and stop the world being destroyed even more or are the powers they are against just too strong for them to overcome.
This is a great read which really gets you thinking about our currently life’s and how easy it would be to fall into a similar situation that Calum and his friends are in if the powers that be become too powerful for their own good.

Savage Lies (Hidden Valley Elite Book 1) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Kerry Carr

Savage Lies: A High School Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Book 1)Savage Lies: A High School Bully Romance by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book in the Hidden Valley Elite series and I have been so excited to read it. After reading the prequel Savage Start and meeting Cole and Riley I couldn’t wait to see how their story continued and boy I wasn’t disappointed.
The fire and what they believe is hatred between them is off the charts. I don’t think I’ve ever read about a couple with such hate towards one another. However it is easy to see that the hate is just a mask that both wear to protect themselves.
Both Riley and Cole have had traumas in their pasts which have shaped the way they are today. Cole who lost his mum has laid all the blame at his dad’s feet, and Riley and her mum are always on the run trying to escape Rileys dad.
When they meet get both of their worlds get blown apart when Rileys mum and Coles dad become a couple. Now full of mixed emotions, desire, hate, feelings of being unsafe and vulnerable, Cole’s hate towards his father, they have to try to coexist under the same roof and at the same school. But how long can they both keep pretending? And what happens if the truth comes out?

This is an amazing read filled with pain and revenge but also hope and passion. I definately recommend reading Savage Start first so that you get the complete backstory to out characters and I can’t wait to see where the author is going to take us next.

Mission 3047: One Soul’s Fantasy by Stuart Ledwith – Review by Kerry Carr

Mission 3047Mission 3047 by Stuart Ledwith PhD
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a very unique Sci fi adventure. This author’s writing I have always enjoyed because you feel completely submerged in the story and all the characters involved. This is such a interesting read. The sci-fi element comes from the assignments that “June” and “Sarge” have to undertake. All of their missions are top secret and involved Aliens and ufos. However this story is such more than that.
We first meet June and her husband Joe. They meet and fall in love, with their 2 daughters you expect them to have a happy life until an accident changed that. Joe is now in a comatose state and June is his carer. With her daughters they are trying to bring Joe back to them but it isn’t easy. You can feel June devotion to Joe and the fact that she still has so much love for him.
Then there is her relationship with Sarge. It is a very deep connected friendship/relationship. You can tell Sarge adores her and she feels the same about him. He helps her out in anyway he can. Their relationship confused me a little as there were times it felt like more than just a friendship but with everything June has to deal with and her Husbands current state I could understand her turning to someone for support and comfort.
There is no denying the love and commitment June has for her husband and her kids and also her complete devotion to her work and Sarge..
This is a great fast paced story that you won’t be able to put down because you will need to find out what happens next.

Falling for You (Buckeye Falls, #2)Falling for You by Libby Kay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 2nd book in the Buckeye Falls Series. These books can be read as a standalone without it deterring enjoyment of the story.
The author does an amazing job with her characters making them realistic and easy to relate to. Cece is a strong independent woman who has had a tough time in the past. She had her heart broke and almost lost her career so as a consequence she’s built a wall around her to keep people away and her heart safe.
Evan is wonderful. I completely fell in love with his character. He is a bit younger than Cece but he knows she is everything he wants. He just needs to get her to see him in a romantic way and not as some young guy with a crush. He’s aware she has walls around her and will stop at nothing to bring them down.
Add to this a competition that is being judged by the one person that caused Cece heartbreak and almost destroyed her and the romance between Cece and Evan takes another knock.
Can they overcome all the obscales against them? Can Cece let down her walls and allow Evan in? Together can they face Cece’s past and come away winner’s or will the past haunt Cece and still have a hold on her?
This was a great read, this book will make you laugh out loud and at times feel like tearing your hair out but one things for sure Cece and Evan are two characters that remain with you long after you finish the book.

Frozen By Lies (Sleigh Riders Book 1) by Martha Sweeney – Review by Kerry Carr

Frozen by Lies (Sleigh Riders #1)Frozen by Lies by Martha Sweeney
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book in the Sleigh Riders series. I really enjoyed this fantasy romance. The author does an amazing job of bringing the story to life. The mixture of fantasy and secrets and danger with something as sweet as Christmas really makes this story unique.

This story follows the Frost and the Klaus clans. For generations there has been a battle between the 2 families. Neither one wanting to budge and inch. But what happens when a boy and a girl from opposite families realise they are fated mates. That’s what happens to Noelle Frost and Nikolaus Klaus.
Their romance is powerful and such a great read as it unfolds but is it strong enough to mend the rift between the two families? Or make the war between them even worse?
Add to this the secrets and lies that have been told through generations of the Frost clan that makes the females of the clan not realise the power they hold and this story really starts to heat up as the lies and secrets slowly start to be reveled.
This is one book that promises Christmas feelings, snow, hot chocolate and romance with the added spice of bikers, hidden magic and a romance that could heal or destroy everything around them.

Ocean’s Three (Made In Heaven #2) by Elena Kincaid – Review by Kerry Carr

Ocean's Three (Made In Heaven, #2)Ocean’s Three by Elena Kincaid
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the Made In Heaven series. These books can be read as a standalone. This book and story was a very emotional and powerful read. I love these stories. I love the paranormal element how they meet in their dreams and eventually find each other. This is also a romance between 2 males and a female.
The author does a great job with the characters and the writing allows the reader to feel the emotions of the characters which makes it a really immersive read.

Cameron and Reed are cousins, Cameron has a special psychic ability but the expands when suddenly a young girl appears in his room and things get even more strange when Reed also appears in the room. As time progresses they realise they are meeting in their dreams. What neither of them expect is for feelings to grow and for them to feel an instant connection to each other.

Over the years things happen in all of their lives which keep them apart but they always find their way back to each other. But it’s only a dream right?

Years later when Jocelyn is on a cruise working her world explodes when she sees her two dream men walking towards her. The connection is instant, all 3 of them feel it. Can a relationship between all 3 of them actually work? Will Jocelyn be forced to choose between the two men? And what happens when the cruise ends and reality hits them? Will they be strong enough to fight for their love against all odds?

This is a steamy read about dreams, finding your soul mate and fighting for a love that is unconventional but very real.

This is the 6th book in the Masters Of Consulate and wow this series just keeps getting better and better. I love the danger, the romance, to mixture of vampires and shifters and witches. These books literally tick all my boxes.

In this story we are with the Masters trying to still find Isala and the rouge witches and shifters that are trying to take over control. In this story the hunt and arrived in Master Calabrea’s area and he is one vampire you definately don’t want to mess with. No one dares answer him back or stand up to him. That is until he meets Tansia. She is fiesty and when she is tasked to work alongside Calabrea neither of them could know the feelings that would evolve between them.
Add to the danger of all the rogue members of the underworld after them there is also the jilted lover of Calabrea to deal with.

Taming Brooklyn (The Club Kings Series Book 1) by Charlotte St. Pierre – Review by Kerry Carr

Taming Brooklyn (The Club Kings Series Book 1)Taming Brooklyn by Charlotte St. Pierre
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book in The Club King Series. It is a steamy romance told from multiply points of view which really brings the story to life for me and makes every character come alive. Getting the story from several points of view really gives you a deeper understanding of the character and the story and gives the characters a depth that sometimes is missing. There are some dark aspects of this story which maybe a trigger for some people such as domestic abuse, sexual assault and child neglect.
Brooklyn has had a traumatic past which has left her with scars both physically and mentally. Since then she is trying to rebuild her life but she feels she carries to much baggage to move forward.
One a rare night out with her friend she meets 2 men who will change her life forever. Jaxon and Oliver are owners in Club 4. Never have they felt attraction to a woman as much as they have towards Brooklyn and so they set out to get her. However things aren’t that simple. The walls Brooklyn has around herself are so high that no one can get over them. However the brothers are determined to try. And when a past danger returns to Brooklyn’s life the Brothers promise to protect her from all danger. But how can you protect someone when they won’t allow you to protect them?
This story is a romance which has loads of obstacles to overcome and things get more complicated as more of the brothers become aware of Brooklyn and also become attracted to her.
Is this Brooklyns chance to finally get her happy ever after with maybe more that 1 man or will her past and the danger lurking in the dark finally be too much for her to overcome.

Notebook Mysteries ~ Suspicions (Notebook Mysteries book #5)Notebook Mysteries ~ Suspicions by Kimberly Mullins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 5th book in the Notebook Mysteries series and this series keeps getting better and better. The books can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading them all in order so you get the full story of the characters and their growth. We are back with Emma and Jeremy as they are faced with more Mysteries to solve. This books has more than 1 mystery happening which keeps the reader guessing all the way through the book. You never know what is going to happen or what will be uncovered next.
The author does a great job of researching the time period and this has paid off by really bringing the story to life.
With a mysterious case of kidnapped children, a enemy from the past trying to destroy her future and a new target firmly placed on Emma’s back, can Emma and Jeremy solve the cases and protect everyone involved or will these cases prove to be too much for our sleuth.

Spirit Guide (Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries Book 3) by Byrd Nash – Review by Kerry Carr

Spirit Guide (Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries #3)Spirit Guide by Byrd Nash
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 3rd book in the Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries series. While these books can be read as a standalone I do recommend reading them in order so you can experience the full character growth and understand how they go to the positions they are in now.
We are back with Madame Chalamet and she now has a new apprentice. Things aren’t going great as her apprentice is scatty and not very disciplined even though she has the talent. Things get worse though when Madame Chalamet is approached by Duke de Archambeau to aid his friend in finding his missing daughter.
Things take a turn when the daughter maid is found murdered and with rumours of The Morpheus Society being involved in parties using chosen women as vessels to allow spirits to roam free Madame Chalament knows she needs to get to the bottom of this no matter the risk to herself.

What happened to the missing daughter? What happens to the women who are used at these parties? Have The Morpheus Society really sanctioned them? What dangers are lurking for Madame Chalament if she asks to many questions? And will the romance between the Duke and Madame Chalament finally take off?

These Mysteries will keep you on the edge of your seat with characters that are so well written you feel like you know them. The story keeps you guessing right to the end and i can’t wait to see what the author has planned next.
