Sea Mage was a nice short read. It is my first book from Louisa Bacio and I was unaware going in it was book ten in a series so there were times I was slightly confused, but was still definitely able to keep up as a stand alone story. Louisa did a great job at world building, very descriptive. At times I did struggle to connect to the characters, finding I had to really focus to keep my attention from wandering. Despite this, I would definitely consider reading a book from the start of the series as it was overall enjoyable.

Sea Mage (The Nightshade Guild, Book 10) by Louisa Bacio is the tenth book in the Nightshade Guild series. Honestly this is the first one of the series that I have read not initially realizing it was part of a series, but overall it didn’t affect the story to much. There were a few times that made me wonder if I had missed something but once I realized it was a series put together by multiple authors, I loved the story so much I went back and read the others. Filled with mermaids, magic, shifters, a special quest and so much more this book was simply amazing. I was immediately drawn to this book by its beautiful cover the story that unfolded in its pages did not disappoint.

Come back tomorrow is a hook line and sinker type of book. It reels you in and doesn’t let go. It’s as if you can see every moment and day through Tori and Will’s eyes. The details of this book are beautiful. It is definitely a must have, must read and share with others type story.
Side Note-I thought this needed to be added for I seen it in another review. Personally dealing with my dad having cancer this book hits home. Note- I offer a content warning for those who may have lost loved ones to a terminal illness or who may be squeamish around medical details. The author presents a realistic, well-researched picture of day to day life with cancer.

I loved this book more than I can dare to say! I found it full of moving moments as well as a lot of emotions for myself surrounding the characters I read about! I loved the aspects of the ghosts that were added into the story, and they really added nicely, and the writing really made this book an very easy flow to read.
I was sucked in and entwined completely with this novel, it was so good. I loved how the two main characters could see ghosts and basically were gifted that they had to help them on their way, but is being let go really what all ghosts seem to want? Or sometimes does unfinished business mean something more than a human brain would think to consider?
Zelda and Scott could both see the ghosts and they I found sometimes viewed it as more of a burden, as it took time away from things they enjoyed such as each other and family time. The ghosts put a strain on what they have between them for sure, but with the ghosts needs and their past history of what they bring to the table, it makes things for Zelda and Scott more worst than off than they first appeared to me at first glance. All in all, I was truly captivated by this novel and was rooting for Zelda and Scott, they were beloved characters who deserved a happy story for sure. I loved the ghosts though, it made the story complicated for the characters sure at times, but I found their back stories had much appeal to read!
The story itself was moving and an easy flow to read, and it was one you really had to put your heart in to really feel what Zelda, Scott, as well as our ghost friends were feeling. It was beautiful and I am so glad I discovered this amazing author. Will be reading more of their work for sure, high recommendation!
If you love Nicholas sparks you are not going to want to miss this. Set in Whitley, Georgia the descriptions of the town scream out southern sweet romance. It may have been the October air here in my own hometown but I just snuggled up with a blanket and my kindle and time-traveled to and from present-day and 1947 and I didn’t want to come back to 2021. Katherine and Philip were destined to be together and nothing was going to stop them. The book alone is an incredible read and I already have the 2nd book in my Amazon cart just waiting to buy it the day it comes out! If you adore classic romance mixes with time travel you are in for a real treat.

This was such an entertaining book. The characters are well-written and so fun. From a toddler who can make an herb garden sprout and have WICKED temper tantrums to a sexy sea dragon and pink mermaid, this book has such fun and fantastical characters that you can’t help but love the book. Everyone has their part and their role to play. I love the zombie pirates. The plot was easy to follow. Entertaining for young and older adults. Highly recommend

First of all, the author immediate reels me in with the premise, recalling a beloved classic and its epic soundtrack “Somewhere in Time”. Sometimes you leave a book or movie that is based off something well known and cherished feeling a little let down. KG Fletcher DID NOT disappoint. Kat and Phillip – oh my word I love them. This book is haunting and beautiful and plays like a beautiful melody in my mind. I don’t know that my heart will survive the wait for the end of this duet. But all I know is that my heart is singing along with this beautiful tune. Give me more of that stardust melody while I go hum about the purple dusk of twilight time…

I liked the idea of the story which led me to pick up the book. I struggled at times which led me to “fall” out of the story. I liked Serena and found her plight captivating. The issue came once she started being attacked by others. It seemed too far-fetched and a mix of two different types of beings. I have not read the others in this series and probably won’t as I didn’t really connect or come to “care” about the characters. Great Cover though!

Come Back Tomorrow is book one in the Embrace Tomorrow Duet by Amy Argent. I went in with an open mind when reading this new to me author. I can honestly say this book destroyed me. It gripped me so tragically that I was feeling all that the characters were going through. Come Back Tomorrow is a deeply emotional and devastating tale of compassion, connection, understanding, acceptance, determination, hopelessness, optimism, helplessness. It also depicted courage, incredible strength, endurance, love, passion, sadness, frustration and fierceness. It touches on the harrowing journey that is the battle of Will’s life. I have never read a more descriptive, and desolating story that just utterly broke me. I marvelled at the way the author set this up. The execution was meant for maximum impact an boy she did not miss the mark. I felt as if I was wrung out and put through a grinder. I was stripped raw emotionally and never has two characters left me totally spellbound and enamoured by their tragic circumstances. But in all that heartbreaking sadness, the frightening thoughts that any day could be the last, Will and his angel somehow managed to push through the adversity and the insurmountable odds stacked against them. The incredible inner strength that this woman had was impressive and totally selfless. The good times were so few and the bad times seem to go on endlessly. And I, the reader, was along for the ride. It literally hit high levels and then plummeted so fast that there was little hope that there would be a happy ending. In all honesty, this book is not for the fainthearted. It was one of the most difficult stories I have ever read. It left me totally depleted and unable to comprehend what just happened. It was one of the most harrowing stories imaginable, but one of the best written stories I have ever been honoured to read. As hard as it was, this story has left me with some of the most beautiful memories I have ever had from a story. I can say that it was a wildly touching story and one that I will never forget. These types of stories leave a lasting impression and not a lot of authors have the talent to pull it off. Amy Argent unveiled an unforgettable and courageous tale of a war unlike any other, and the lengths people go to survive, the lengths their loved ones will go to lessen the burden and provide unwavering love and support, and the relentless desire to conquer this devastating disease that robs the world of way too many. A compellingly moving story that will be hard to move on from. And the stunning conclusion awaits. What is in store for Will and his angel? I cannot wait to find out. 5 stars.

Enjoyable quick read I enjoyed the story line and the paranormal aspects of this book. This is the first book I have read by this author and even though it is the tenth book in the series there is enough explanation to know what’s going on. The use of imagery is well done but sometimes I found the conversations between characters a little stilted. Overall, a series worth checking out.

A beautiful love that even time can’t come between. My heart was breaking for Phillip through so much of this story, knowing just how many years he waited and searched for the love of his life. When he finally reconnected with Katherine, the magic between them was electric, even with the passage of so much time. This was my first time reading a story about time travel and this was written so beautifully that I found myself invested from the very first page. My heart was in my throat the entire time, just waiting to see what would happen with Phillip and Kat. I’m counting down the days until I can read part two of their amazing journey.

I enjoyed this book! Also, I did know that I was picking it up in the middle of the series. So while I did not have a lot of the backstory going into the book, I didn’t feel like I was missing something in the over arching plot.
Serena is a mermaid shifter charged with keeping the orphaned, elven princess safe from the evil entities that are trying to take her. She and Peder are drawn to each other but each have other commitments that have to come first before they can truly explore what is going on between them. Can they work together to keep the toddler safe and find a balance for each other? Or will it all become too much for them?
I haven’t seen a lot of mermaid books and that is what drew me to this book. The author did a phenomenal job describing all the characters and places they were at. I could literally see them. In fact, every time Serena is described I couldn’t help but picture Serena from Gossip Girl! LOL
Now that I have read this book, I will go back and find the others in the series. I am hoping to get through them all by the time the next in this series is released!

One of the best fiction books I’ve read for 2021!!!! Powerful! Emotional! This book will take your breath away. The author has written a phenomenal book that sucks your breath away as you begin the story of Will and Tori. Will is a terminal cancer patient and Tori is a clinical Psychologist that befriends him yet it turns into love. No more from me because you MUST read this book. The story is written strong and powerful. It is so emotional. You get hit in the gut by the feelings they each have and are going through. The characters are feeling real feelings. I just went through cancer with my mother and these are real feelings. It is realistic down to the doctor being late. I was so into the story that I couldn’t put it down until this morning and I found myself crying over the ending. I can’t wait to read the sequel.

Incredible The world Via Mari has created just blows my mind. I really enjoy her books and the level of crossover between her series is amazing. This book follows Nick and Allie. The alpha dominant Nick is swoon-worthy and has his work cut out for him with Allie. I really like the depth of the story. Even though each book follows a different couple, it is so worth reading all the books in the series for the backstory. You won’t be disappointed.

Sea Mage by Louisa Bacio is one of the books in The Nightshade Guild series. There are twelve books by twelve authors that make up this fantasy series. The series is centred around The Nightshade Guild who have been tasked with the responsibility of looking after the Princess by the Elven Court after an assassination attempt. It is a short read but has all the elements to make it interesting, with magic and danger, shifters and elves, suspense and drama.
I hate coming into a series part way through and that’s what I inadvertently did with this book so now I have to go back and start at the beginning. So, coming so late I felt I was missing out and now I know why, this book is way down the line near the end. I was unable to stay in the moment and found myself wandering and found that sometimes less is more. But that is just me and my preference.
Give it a go but make sure you start at the beginning of the series.

Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent is the first book in the Embrace Tomorrow Duet and a great way to start off. OMG this one has all the feels. Grab some tissues, some wine, anything that is brings you comfort. From anger to happiness, to sadness and back again. Amy certainly put us through our paces right along with the characters. This is hauntingly beautiful and moving tale is a gut wrenching and will pull on your heart strings and you hope against hope. BUT Amy gives us a cliff hanger and now I have to wait, I am not sure if my emotions can take it.
It is a story of two courageous people who find love even in the tragic of circumstances. It’s about finding love when you least expect it and treasuring the littlest things. It is about finding hope even on your darkest days when all feels lost. It is about the joy of just being even if tomorrow never comes.

Sea Mage is the tenth book in The Nightshade Guild by Louisa Bacio. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Bacio, so I really didn’t know what to expect going in. But the beautiful cover grabbed me and the blurb intrigued me enough that I snapped up a copy and dove right in. I didn’t realise that this is the tenth book in a series- and there were times while reading where I wondered if perhaps I was ‘missing’ something that happened or was explained in previous books- and that has prompted me to want to go back and explore the rest of the series to see how each story contributes to the overall picture/series. The Nightshade Guild series is a collaboration by twelve authors who each contribute/d a story. With twelve books in the series, one book releasing each month (of 2021)- and with 12 Mages tasked with protecting an elvan princess from assassination, it all looks set to be quite a suspenseful adventure. This is a short story- which made for a quick read. It is a paranormal story with fantasy, mermaids, shifters, elves, magic, a quest, high stakes, suspense, danger, drama, and romance. Although the story is quite detailed and descriptive, I found it somewhat wordy in places, and some of the descriptions were a little ambiguous, leaving me a little confused- which then resulted in pulling me out of the story while I tried to figure out what the author was trying to say/do. This frustrated me a lot and left me with lots of questions. I also had trouble connecting with the characters and their story- which was disappointing as this is the type of book I normally devour and love. So, I will going back to reread this story again in a few weeks, just to see if I still feel the same way, or if I was just having an ‘off’ reading experience with this book.

Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent is now in my Top 15. Honestly, if you love Grey’s Anatomy, The Fault In Our Stars, and Irreplaceable You (with a mix of Six Feet Apart), this is the book for you. Come Back Tomorrow follows the story of a hospital psychologist who makes it her mission to help terminal patients through the last parts of their life. With encouragement from her friend, Tori meets a terminally ill man, Will. At the end of every visit, she asks- “Can I come back tomorrow?” until one day it becomes: “Will you come back tomorrow?”
Come Back Tomorrow is a heart wrenching story, of love, of the honesty of terminal illness, and healing. Honestly, I cried my way through this- but with a twist ending, I’m absolutely DYING to read the next book and see where Will and Tori’s story goes.

I had a hard time putting this down. My heart broke the whole time watching their story unfold. It really emphasizes that hope and love are truly necessary when facing unfathomable obstacles. Their connection was palpable and it made me so sad the pain they endured. Will is a very lovable character and it saddens me that he is suffering so much at such a young age. This book reminds me of Lurlene McDaniels books I used to read as a kid. I cannot wait to read the second book and others by this author.

This book is the ninth book in the series, however, this book can be read as a standalone. I will say though, I cannot imagine not wanting to read the other books with an author this good! Ivy Nelson seems well educated on the fetishes and has such a great writing style. I can’t wait to read more!
Following Russell and Gemma was a treat! Russell has a problem though, he can’t be with a married woman but he knows his lust can’t hold out for long. Matthew and Gemma have to be 100% clear with Russell exactly what their relationship is. Everything that follows is written so well! Nelson did a great job on the series! @karenmmarsh

Tenacious was a great novel! Via Mari did a beautiful job on this book. That being said, I didn’t read any of the first books. I’m sure they add a lot more to this book, but I question if it needs it. It was a very well put together standalone though I will be going back to read some of these other couples stories!!
This doesn’t really feel like a billionaire or bad boy/ mafia type of book. While I know it is because they do mention it more than a few times, it really feels like a sweet love story that just had a wrench thrown in. Allie is a great nurse who loves her job, her space, and her freedom. But when Nick comes along to protect her, that all changes. She can’t do real relationships, and he isn’t on a continent long enough to try. @karenmmarsh

Come Back Tomorrow is a love story so full of angst that you will definitely need a box of tissues when you read it. Tori and Will are such phenomenal characters, they seem so realistic and relatable that it really makes your heart go out to them. Will wants to go through his issues alone, but will he let Tori be the friend he needs? Will Tori be able to handle all the complications and heartache that comes with Will’s disease? Even with a emotional as this book is, I found that I couldn’t put this page turner down.

Ms. Anne is a detailed author with her character development and the atmosphere in this book! The book was decent and enjoyable to read. I really enjoyed the character’s interactions (ie Hunter and his brothers, Rain being put into new environments, etc) and the story really took off for me. The anticipation for the reveal was very well written for Rain and Hunter. I’m interested to see what happens in book 2. However, I struggled with the beginning interactions between Rain and Hunter, as it went from 0-60 real fast. Though after another chapter or so, when the other characters were introduced it was less of a struggle.

This is a wonderful fast paced story filled with action, adventure and magic. The author does an amazing job of bringing the characters to life and even making their magical sides seem believable. This book contains supernatural dangers and a little bit of romance which brings the whole story together.
Serena is part of The Nightshade Guild. She knows she has responsibilities, but when that responsible becomes looking after and protecting the Elvin Queen she may have bitten off more than she can chew.
With dark forces wanting to take the little queen away she enlists her friend Peder for his help and support but will the budding relationship between them prove more of a distraction than a help. Is Serena capable of protecting the little queen from the dark forces wanting her power? I mean how hard can it be to protect a toddler?

Forever is book nine in the Diamond Doms series by Ivy Nelson. I am new to this author’s work, so I am entering this series at the wrong end. BUT!!! In no way did that take anything away from this story. This story was sexy, very arousing, intriguing and just totally enthralling. I was very intrigued by the very short blurb. It drew me in instantly. I had to know about this couple and try to work my way around all that I missed from coming in for the last book. The characters were insatiable and very entertaining. I was drawn to the way the author portrayed each character. The interaction between them was magnetic and impossible to drag your attention away from. This was a one sitting read for me. I could not put it down. There is nothing better than a take charge man who is dominant but considerate. They are not afraid to be heavy handed but it is all with the care of their partner foremost in their minds. There was so much to this story that tickled my senses and appealed to my little smutty mind. It was so well and respectfully written, with suspense, mystery and lots of energetic activity. Hats off to Ivy Nelson. I done things backward by reading the last book first, but I am definitely going to be purchasing the entire series and diving in asap. A steamy hot and cleverly written story that will get the blood pumping and the heart racing. But do yourself a favour and start from book one to experience all that I am sure this series is. 5 stars.

What a rollercoaster of emotions, this book had me sobbing. Tori is a volunteer for terminally ill patients and when she meets Will who has terminal cancer, he is given up on life and has told the hospital not to resuscitate him if it comes to that. When Tori finds this out she really wants to change his mind, but is it too late? The more time they spend together talking the more they realise they have something special, can love overcome Wills illness. If you loved me before you then this is definitely the book for you.

This book was such a page turner I read it in almost one night…. And woke up the next morning and finished it! Each Character’s story is told in a way that you felt like you were right there with them when they were going through it. Rain is an amazing woman and came through so much amd shows her courage when she take a in Hunter…. Their story is one for the stars.. to find that kind of love after what she had gone through is a very special thing amd to get her happily ever ever is even better!!! I can’t wait for to ready the stories of Hunter’s brothers as they find their lives!

This is a new author for me which I enjoyed and can’t wait to see what is next for her. This is a well written story that pulled me into the story from the beginning. The author’s use of details made me want to know what happened next with the characters. The characters are relatable and made the story fun and entertaining to read. This is a story that took me on a magical adventure with a twist of suspense to it. I found this book to be full of action, magic and even some romance. Serena feels that she is over her head when she is entrusted to keeping the child queen safe. She also finds herself requesting her friend, Peder’s help. They are now facing evil darkness and a determination to conquer the enemies. This is a great story with a great, engaging adventure that was worth the pick up. I can’t wait to see what comes next for them. I highly recommend this book.
