Seconds by Cam Johns is a brilliant second chance romance with an amazing main character right at its centre. This is the first book that I have read from this author on her own – previous books have been co-written with other authors – and I really loved it. I was pulled in straight away and became absolutely hooked reading about Braxton. Although it is quite a short book the story is jam packed and so engaging. I really wanted to find out if Braxton would find his second chance or if what had happened in his past would prevent that. I also have to say that this book has one of the most striking covers I have seen in a long time. It caught my eye immediately and I would have one clicked this book off the cover alone. This was a great book that I thoroughly enjoyed and it is one I would highly recommend.
A Hole (Alpha Bet Guys Book 1) by Phoebe Alexander
4-star
A Hole by Phoebe Alexander is the first book in the Alpha Bet Guys Series and is a must read by this author. I am always a huge fan of this authors writing and this book was no different, I loved the detail, the witty characters, the humour and of course the steamy moments.
This was a fast read, the ending seemed to come much too quickly as I had easily connected with the characters so I really look forward to reading more from this series ASAP. This is a book I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for their next romance read!

I started this series with this book. I didn’t feel like I missed any important details by not starting with the first book in the series. The story line got my attention from the first chapter and kept it. I absolutely loved the story line. Kept me on edge. I love a book that makes me want to keep reading and not put it down and this one did just that. Now I’ll go back and read the first book and anxiously await the third.
What a great short story! 8 Second Ride is written by Shannon Nemechek. In this story, we meet Tuck, who is Ex-Army and trying to win a rodeo buckle. Jesse is a spoiled little daddy’s girl and not into the whole rodeo scene. When Jesse’s dad sends her to Las Vegas with Tuck things start to develop between the two. Their chemistry is amazing! They do say that opposites attract. In 40 pages, this author takes us on a wonderful journey between two completely different people. It was a very quick read but was really good. I was quite impressed. I love short stories but I always want them to be a bit longer and more drawn out. However, this book is not like this at all! It was thoroughly entertaining and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

This is a Paranormal Erotica Romance that I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t put it down. I was absolutely intrigued and had to know what was going to happen next. The characters are well developed and easy to follow. The story flowed so well I was finished before I realized . This is about a strong female hunter who is a nurse and at night is a serial hunter. Find out what happens next when the person she’s hunting is not only a vampire but a hot vampire.? I highly recommend reading this book I look forward to seeing what this author brings us next.

Beckoned (Born of Darkness, Book 1) by R.B. Fields was a thrilling 5 star read. It took just a little bit for me to get pulled in but once I was I couldn’t put it down.
Dawn is a nurse who is one a mission to help get bad guys off the streets. At night she goes hunting for serial killers, what she didn’t expect was a vampire. With a dangerous twist she finds herself in the arms of a very hot vampire, Silas.
Silas is intrigued by Dawn, he brings her home with him knowing she is in danger. They both will be hunted by the dead vampires clan. When Dawn meets the rest of the clan they are all pulled in by her, but why? And my oh my do we get some very hot and steamy moments.
Will Dawn continue to bond with all of the vampires? Will they be able to keep her safe? And just what is Dawn?
Overall this was a thrilling read. I loved all of the characters, they added a great element to the story. I felt like I was getting a mix of Lost boys and True Blood with this group of hot vampires. There are some twists and turns that added a great element to the story. We do end on a slight cliff hanger so I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. If you are looking for a great vampire read, 1-click and get started today.

Hacker: The Mercenaries Series Book 2 by Nadine Travers
I had a busy week and weekend but all I could think about was getting a chance to sit and read this book. I couldn’t get this story out of my mind and wanted to know what will happen next and finally stayed in bed as late as possible to relax and read this book.
This book has some humor, romance, steamy moments, suspense and then the ending which I was quite pleased with.
I felt a connection to Marie, especially with her relationship with her little sister. The age difference between her and her sister are the same and the need to take care of her was also there. She would do absolutely anything for her sister even if it meant she would never find her happiness.
Hacker was a lot more than I would expected. Normally guys who are connected to their computers do interact with people very well but Hacker seems to not have that issue.
I cannot wait for the next book, wonder which guy falls next.

This book had me entertained throughout. It was full of action, steamy moments, wonderful characters and more. This is my first read by this author and I will definitely be reading more from her. I enjoyed the main character Dawn and how strong she is. I also can’t forget about the hot vampires in this story. I love paranormal books and this one was a good one to sink my teeth into. I Still Hate You is a quite the sexy romp by Marie Skye. I always go into Marie Skye’s book thinking I know what to expect, and you would think that after all this time and so many books later that I would have learned my lesson- Marie Skye always pulls something new and original out of her pocket, as this book is everything I had hoped for, but also had unexpected developments that gave the story an extra element of interest. The only issue that I had with the book is that I wished it had been longer- only because I am greedy and wanted to immerse myself in the story longer. I Still Hate You has many humorous touches, with funny banter, and witty sarcasm- plus some more emotive moments that had me fully investing in the characters and their situation, as well as the steamy encounters that Marie Skye does so well. I really enjoyed meeting Perrie and Ash and following along for the ride. I can’t wait to see what Marie Skye does next.

8 Second Ride by Shannon Nemechek was a really good and quick read. This book is only 40 pages so you can read this within an hour if you wanted to. Not only was it a very quick read, but it was a steamy one as well, at least toward the end. Definitely an 18+ read. To be honest at the beginning I thought this book was going to be a about a rodeo, but it definitely wasn’t. It was a very well written novel (like the ones of Nemechek’s I’ve read before) which made it that much easier to become submersed in this read. All in all I really enjoyed this book. So far I haven’t found a Nemechek novel I haven’t liked. I can’t wait to read the next novel!

Beckoned (Born of Darkness Book 1) by R. B. Fields. This is my first book by this author but it most certainly won’t be my last! Its an amazing dark paranormal romance! Its the story of Dawn who is a nurse in the ER and has never felt like she belongs anywhere. Dawn is also a vampire which might be the reason she has trouble fitting in! At night she travels around looking for somewhere to fit in and one night she gets attacked by a vampire that is a human serial killer. She is also saved by another vampire. Silas is the vampire that saves Dawn and he knows now that the head Vampire slayer is after them so they have to run. While she and Silas get to know each other as they are running for their lives Dawn realizes that Silas is HOT! There are a lot of other characters involved and lots of other vampires, craziness and death. This book will take you by the hand and lead you down a dark, sexy, scary path that you will be screaming for more! Do yourself a favor and read this book to find out if Silas and Dawn survive the Vampire slayers. You will be so glad you did!

B. Fields – Review by Tausha Treadway
I found myself finishing this book quickly because I could not put it down.
Dawn is a nurse who finds herself stalking the streets at night to hunt down serial killers. However, her latest hunt finds her fighting a vampire. When another vampire steps in and kills one of his own to protect Dawn, neither he nor Dawn are safe. However, when Silas brings Dawn home to protect them both…his housemates have their reservations. As time passes, they all start coming to the conclusion that there is more to Dawn than meets the eye…and they can’t agree if that is a good thing or a bad thing. It doesn’t help that all 4 vampires are sexy and Dawn can’t seem to keep her hands (among other parts) off of them. When another hive of vampires come seeking vengeance for their member’s death…it is obvious they they want Dawn. Will Silas and the other defend her against their own kind…or is she more trouble than she’s worth?
I really liked the back and forth between Dawn and the guys…even surly Markula. I definitely want to read the rest of the series now because I need to know how it all plays out!

Beckoned: Born of Darkness (Book 1) by R.B. Fields 5 Stars!!!!!
It’s a great day when I discover new authors and series. This is such a book and I was really not let down at all. The author has quite the refreshing story and the characters just jump right off of the pages. I was hooked from the first page and could not put this book down.
I really felt as though I was right there in the action and drama. I really liked Dawn’s character. She is a complex character and I really like how the story is based around her and the discovery of who she is. I also love vampire stories so this just really grabbed me and hooked me in. I cannot wait to read more from this author and series.

Price of a Rose: A Beauty & Beast Tale by Byrd Nash is the second story in the Historical Fantasy Fairytale Retellings series. This is a short but delightful read. Set towards the latter part of the 19th century in Victorian England there is a story with magic, love, and romance. I love stories from this period or written about this period but the author overwhelmed me with this story. She retells one of my favorite fairy tales in a new and wonderful way. This can be read and enjoyed by teens and older quickly. I like the new aspects she brought into the story and the use of the three sisters. Everyone is their own person and allowed to grow and change as needed. The first story in this series was wonderful as is this one and I look forward to what Byrd Nash is going to do next.

8 Second ride is a short story by Shannon Nemechek. It is a love/hate story, or more accurately, a hate/love story. The main characters start off as enemies who can’t agree on anything, but as the sparks fly and the chemistry builds they become more than just friends.
I quite often avoid short stories as I usually find them rushed, especially towards the end. I was very happy that this was not the case in this story. The authors writing skills and storytelling ensured that the pace of the book moved quickly and that the reader was not left hanging at the end. My only complaint was that I still wanted more after the story had finished. I would recommend this book, especially if you are looking for a quick read and no cliffhangers.

Seems like the couples relationship Is a little bit strained due to the circumstances which is being put under. Andrew is an interesting chap to say the least. I read this book in one day as I couldn’t wait to fine out what happened next well in an hour and a half. Harlow well I want to slap her. Overall I would highly recommend this great book which kept me engaged engage from the start. I cannot wait to read more from this author.

This is an interesting take on the vampire world. Dawn is a nurse by day and a stalker of monsters by night. After the violent death of her mother, Dawn takes out the monsters that attack innocents and the police are unable to find. It’s on her latest hunt that she encounters Silas who kills a vampire to save her, then takes her back to his hive knowing that he may have just started a war with another vampire hive but he is unable to resist the pull to Dawn. The writing style is very descriptive and with multiple POV it really gives you a feel for how everyone is feeling. Silas’ hive don’t understand the pull they have to Dawn’s or the powers she appears to display but they are all attracted to her and wiling to fight to keep her with them. This does end on a cliffhanger and I am looking forward to the next book.

Trent, Logan’s childhood friend and lawyer, from “Love at first hunt” inherits an old, creepy and haunted house from a relative he hardly knows. He also knows just who to call to get it off his hands. Tina, Allison’s eccentric friend, is the best real estate agent in Michigan, who reluctantly agrees to help Trent. I’m a bit of chicken but this book had me on the edge of my seat and also had my heart racing. Carrie Pulkinen out did herself in this one for the suspense she recreated in this book had me reading with the lights on.

This is my first book by R.B Fields. It’s a very “steamy” book, with multiple scenes that don’t disappoint. I typically read books a little “less steamy”, but this one held my attention very well. The word building was great as well as the storyline. Dawn is our main female character, she’s witty and not afraid to fight for what she wants/believes in. This is a paranormal type story, so our other characters are vampires. There are four main vampires that become part of Dawn’s life. It’s a good story with some great sex scenes, totally worth a read!

Learning to Live: An Enemy to Lovers Ugly Cry is the first book in The Infinite Love Series by Kira Adams . Holy Cow I was not expecting the emotional rollercoaster ride this book takes you on. Forewarning have kleenex close by because you are going to need them. I was drawn in from the beginning and couldn’t stop reading till I finished. There are moments my heart was simply broken and other times I wanted to shake him. I absolutely loved Ciera I felt bad for her and everything she went through . Let me just say I was not a fan of Topher at first but I warmed up to him as the story went along. Im not going to give anything away but I will say I highly recommend reading this book. You wont be disappointed I sure wasn’t. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Beckoned was a quick and fun read that caught my attention from the start and kept it throughout the book. This book was good, like read in two sittings good. If you are of age and want a dizzying paranormal romance, this book is for you.

I loved this book’s audio. This is an author that has continued to impress me with her writing skills and attention to details. This book is no different. I loved listening to this book. The reader had lots of emotion in their voice. I had no problems listening or imagining being with the characters. It was easy, fun and entertaining to listen to. I don’t normally listen to books but I would go back for more from this one. The reader brought the characters to life and pulled me into the story from the beginning. I highly recommend this book.

Wow! I enjoyed this retelling of Beauty and the Beast. The book is perfect and the writing is fluid. The story really touched my curious side. The world that was built is set back in time but that some magical elements to it. That house! I would love to wander around and open doors just to see what would happen.
The characters are fantastic and The real fun starts upon meeting them. They come in all shapes and forms and each one added to the story. Some are gruff, delightful or devious. I was held in awe as each one was introduced. Wondering who they are and what they can do.
Overall this is simply outstanding and I loved it. It left me with a smile of my face and lightness in my heart. The author did a great job with the world and the characters. This is my favorite of hers yet!

I enjoyed this romance suspense story. This is an author that continues to impress me with her writing skills and her attention to details. This book is no different, I was pulled in right from the beginning. This is the second book in this series which I would highly suggest reading to help enjoy this series more. Chris and Marie had one night together. Then she disappears only to reappear months later asking for his help. She has a past that could be worse than anyone realizes. What will happen with these two? Is Marie safe? I really enjoyed this book and what the characters brought to the story. I highly recommend this book.
8 Second Ride by Shannon Nemechek is a quick read but doesn’t feel like it in the sense that it has everything you want! This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I was not disappointed.
Tuck and Jessie are not what you’d call friends. Jess is quite spoiled and Tuck has a hard time dealing with her. Imagine his surprise when she invites herself to Las Vegas where he is trying to win the title he so desperately wants. Tuck set out to follow in his dad’s footsteps and this buckle is part of that plan. Dealing with Jessie, not so much.
Jessie was not my favorite person. After she explained herself, I understood but it took a bit to get over. Tuck, as much as he tried to keep his cool in respect for her father, he gave it back to her. The characters were relatable. They were real. I really enjoyed reading their story!

This story isn’t about love, like, lust, or a happily ever after. This story, my story, is about struggle, pain, and suffering. Fighting to stay afloat while being pulled under by what feels like the murky and powerful undertow of the ocean. Fighting for strength I so desperately need when all I am feeling is desolate and weak. I’m a girl who exudes hatred when a normal girl of my age and pedigree should be the picture-perfect portrait of love.
Alcohol consumes me. Drugs numb me. Sex for money feeds the hollow abyss deep within me. How does an escort turn her life around when the last several years of her life has been spent traveling down a very dark path?
The Shadow
She became my obsession, my every thought. She is the reason I wake up in the morning, plotting, scheming, exacting a revenge she so desperately deserves. But will she take my offer once she learns my true identity; sees the darkness within me, or will she hate me for lying to her all of these years, leading her to lose herself to the drugs and alcohol that have kept her ghosts at bay? Will she be my Precious?
T.R. Cupak was born and raised in the suburbs of a Bay Area city in California. She now lives in a quiet town south from where she grew up with her husband and their Shih Tzu Harley and German shepherd Mac.
Saying she is obsessed with cars is an understatement. Since her sixteenth birthday, she’s had at least thirty-three vehicles. Cupak is a self-proclaimed wine and bourbon enthusiast. She also loves a wide variety of music—anything from classical, EDM, rock, pop, country, and heavy metal, to name a few.
When she’s not at work or busy writing, you can find her curled up with a good book or binge-watching a random series while enjoying a glass of wine or bourbon neat.
Professor Valentine: A Student-Teacher Contemporary Romance is the first book in the Kirk University series, and debut novel by Diana Vale. It is also a novella- which makes for a very quick and easy read. As the title would suggest, the story is a new adult contemporary student-teacher romance- with some drama, angst, and gives a great snapshot of university life. What happens when 18 year old Cassandra Rodriguez, a psychology student and freshman at Kirk University, falls for her professor? No spoilers from me, you will have to read the story for yourself to find out what happens. This was an easy read- but I did have trouble connecting with Cassie and Diego- which made it more difficult for me to fully appreciate this story. But, maybe I was just having an off reading day, so I ill reserve my final judgement and see I am interested in reading the rest of the series to see where we go from here.
