Thief (Popov Bratva Book 4) by Leslie Georgeson – Review by Christina Gran

Thief (Popov Bratva #4)Thief by Leslie Georgeson

Action packed, steamy romance that leaves the reader on the edge of their seats at every turn! First book by Leslie Georgeson, but certainly won’t be my last! I can’t wait to go back & read the others in the series. SO captivating! One of the best Mafia Romance books that I’ve read so far!

Bad boy, Dominik Popov, is a high end thief for the Russian mob, who meets his match when he attempts to steal an Audi R8. When Dom steals the car, he didn’t count on the driver jumping into the passenger seat and pepper spraying him. Dominik kidnaps the owner of the car and later learns that she is Leah Hark—a famous country star. Realizing that she will be easily missed if gone too long, Dom decides to let Leah & her car go—as long as she doesn’t tell anyone of the attempted carjacking (or abduction). Leah complies, as Dom knows something about Leah that if word got out, it would ruin her career. The two part ways and that’s that….Dom decides he needs to clear his head and goes to Tahoe to visit his brother. Imagine their surprise when Leah & Dom cross paths again in Tahoe! Sparks continue to fly between the two as they get closer, however an ex of Leah’s shows up and begins causing trouble. Can they work through the web of secrets and lies to build something special?
Fast paced, edge of your seat, page turner. I could not get through the book fast enough. 5+ stars!

Something About Aimee (Girls from the Street Book 1)Something About Aimee by S.E. Smith
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Something About Aimee by S.E. Smith is book one in their Girls From the Streets series. Aimee and Qadir couldn’t be any more different. One grew up with what many would consider a rough childhood with a lot of street smarts. And one grew up in a palace, surrounded by luxury and security. When the pair unexpectedly meet, sparks immediately fly. I have to say, I had high hopes for the story but things seemed to happen almost too fast. The instant attraction was understandable but the quick love and almost overwhelming infatuation was a bit strange. Aimee seems to throw herself into danger and being wealthy and of status Qadir seems to bring it. The story could have used a little more heat and spice over danger. That said, overall the story was good. Just felt as though some things could have been a little better.

Gotta love a bad boy right? They’re irresistible! Leah couldn’t help but to fall for a thief/criminal. They meet under a crazy circumstance and it’s a blessing in disguise! It really is. Because Dominik and Leah are great for eachother! Dominik is this stubborn bad boy and Leah is this famous country star! From completely different worlds (so you think) Little do you know but Leah has a crazy past herself! 🤔 phenomenal book though! Great plot, amazing characters! I couldn’t put the book down and that’s why I’m up at 2 am 🤣 I just HAD to finish it. The drama, the thrill, the intensity, the spice…it’s all perfect! HIGHLY recommend!

Thief is the fourth captivating book in the Popov Bratva series by Leslie Georgeson. OMG have I got some catching up to do with this author. I can’t believe it has taken this long for me to discover her fantastic work/s!!! I have seriously been missing out. All it took was one book and I have developed a Leslie Georgeson addiction that I am only too happy to keep feeding. Oh Yeah – I feel a book binge coming on ….
This is a sublime Bratva romance- an enemies to lovers story with plenty of action, danger, mystery, suspense, dramatic developments, intrigue, chemistry, sizzle, humour, banter, comradery, ‘brotherhood’, angst, agendas, secrets, betrayal, incredibly interesting characters, and so, so much more.
Dom is a Bratva prince who sets out to fill a customer order which will require him to ‘acquire’ a certain type of vehicle- but things don’t quite go according to his well laid out plans and this thief ends up stealing something much more valuable than just a sexy car. A Bratva prince, a country music star, a stolen car, danger, and plenty of sparks combine to ignite quite an exciting ride….
I have come into this series a little backwards, starting on Book #4- so thankfully ‘Thief’ is able to be read as a standalone without feeling like I was lost or missing important information. Having said that though, and from what I could tell, the series has a stellar cast of recurring characters who each get their own book in the series. These characters have well and truly whet my appetite for sampling more of their deliciousness- and Ms. Georgeson has me well and truly hooked on all the enticing developments. And as I said earlier, one book is definitely not enough!
I am so happy to have finally discovered this talented author, and to find that she has numerous other books ready for me to devour. I am excited to find someone worthy of a major book-binging session. I am looking forward to stalking- hmm, umm- I mean ‘following’ her, and will be keeping an eye out for anything new she produces so I can snap them up, too…
As I said, this is the fourth book in an on-going series. The series consists of:
-Freak (Book One) ….. Zeke and Mia’s story
-Snitch (Book Two) ….. Sacha and Willow’s story
-Thug (Book Three) ….. Lev and Siena’s story
-Thief (Book Four) ….. Dom and Leah’s story (Dom is Lev’s twin brother)
-Beast (Book Five) ….. Adrik and Annika’s story (due for release in Oct 2022)
-Punk (Book Six) ….. due to release in March 2023
Very Highly Recommended!
Happy reading!

Thank you, Leslie Georgeson!

My heart is so happy that I picked up this book to read and could not put it down!! The story totally consumed me from beginning to end. This story had it all…. action, deceit, love and a few steamy scenes!

Aimee Wheels is such a free spirit and hustling day to day as a courier in NYC. When a small bet is wagered if she can get a delivery on time..Aimee is up to the task…but little did she know that the delivery also changes her life. Sheik Qadir Saif Ad Din radiates power and is royalty tries to get some attention by Aimee, at first she dismisses him. When an assassination attempt against Qadir starts in full motion, Aimee saves his life. After that fateful attempt….Qadir and Aimee’s chemistry hits off the charts..but they both come from different worlds….will their differences keep them apart when chaos ensues?

There is so much more to this book but I dont want to give any spoilers away…I could talk about this story forever. The characters of Qadir and Aimee are fantastic, and even though they have different upbringings, they both share so much love not only for each other but to their families and friends as well. I did not want this story to end and I look forward to reading book #2!

Oh My! How can this be the first time I have read a book by this author?!?! Could I have chosen a better book to start off with!? Oh, how fun this story was to read! Aimee is the coolest chick ever! She certainly doesn’t need anyone. Living the way she chooses, even if it isn’t the safest of neighborhoods. She has her friends and her skateboard, which I am surprised she hasn’t named.

When Aimee runs into Qadir things take a different turn.

“How many others were like Aimee; vibrant and capable, but just one unlucky moment away from complete disaster?” – Hits a little personal. So many people are just one unlucky moment, one car break down, one sickness, one unlucky moment away from complete disaster. Is there something Qadir can do to help, to encourage, to teach…

Aimee and Qadir have an instant attraction but neither one wants to believe it. I really love this story and can’t wait to see what else happens to these characters and their friends/family!

This was such a wonderful read, I could not put this one down! It pulled me right in from the start! I loved the writing style of this wonderful author as well! I was hooked, and in much anticipation as I read through. I could not get enough of the story or the characters. The book gave so much!

For starters, freaking loved Dominik’s character. He came off tough, but had a heart of gold. He was set in hos ways at times, but sometimes a heart can melt at the right moment. Loved the chemistry and the moments between these two. I found they met their match with one another, and showed what realism is between two people. Loved how things progressed, and the build up! The story itself had build up as well. Things came to light in the story and between these two. Lots of twists and moments that really impacted the story. I really enjoyed this book, and will be reading more by this author! Loved it!

Highly recommend this author and the books that they bring to life! I enjoyed this one very much, and I for sure will be reading more that they have created. High recommendation to author and book for sure!

While saving Qadir, she also draws his attention and there is an instant connection between them. Thief is a gripping and thrilling dark Mafia romance suspense tale. It is the fourth book in the Popov Bratva series. I read this as a standalone but I will be going back and starting at the beginning as I enjoyed it so much. This twisted tale will leave you addicted and wanting more. The characters are compelling and make the story come alive. It is full of everything to keep the reader enthralled with intrigue and suspense, passion and angst, lies and deceit, secrets and betrayal, danger and violence, plus a little enemy to lover’s romance.

No one steals her baby and gets away with it. No one can make him deviate from his work. That is until the two collide in the most unusual way and sparks begin to fly.

Wow! From the beginning the author gets you to visualize the workroom at Becker Courier Service. You can feel the excitement and chaotic atmosphere of those who work at there. What she doesn’t realize is this delivery will change her life when she ends up saving “Mr. Moneybags” and gets shot while doing so.
The story is well written, I connected with the characters, felt the ups and downs of two different worlds colliding in a romance, and the action and danger that Aimee and Qadir face throughout the story. One of the things I enjoy about this author is their writing skills. They are able to bring the story to life with ease and made me feel as if I was part of the story. This is a well written story about Aimee and Qadir. They are complete opposites but they do have one thing in common, someone is out to kill them. Will they find a way to love despite what life is throwing at them? I enjoyed watching their growth as well as their chemistry. They are great characters that added to the story for me. They certainly had me coming back for more. They are strong and supportive characters that made the story easy and entertaining to read. I really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend this book.

Dominick has never, ever botched a job and all because of this crazy red head he has botched his first. After he takes her he realizes she is famous which doesn’t make the kidnapping any easier. My rating: 5 of 5 stars

To be honest, I picked this novel up because I really love when the novels I read have a character with the same name as I do, even if it isn’t spelled correctly! I absolutely loved the plot of this adventure, and the way that the female lead, Aimee, is a strong, independent woman, that way because she had no other choice. She knows what she wants and goes for it, and puts her all into everything that she does. I love that about a person, and I really was able to connect with her throughout this fantastic read.

One of my other favorite things is that there aren’t any lulls. There seems to be something always going on, and not in a way that makes the reader feel overwhelmed or unsure as to what the real story is. The author has a wonderful way with words, the descriptive nature brings the reader in and doesn’t let them go, even after the story ends. I very much look forward to reading more about the Girls from the Street, and by this author. Well done!

OMG!!! If you haven’t read this book, my question is why. This book has everything, action, humor, drama, twists, romance, steam, turns and did I mention drama?? What a series opener!!!!

From the first chapter to the last, this book had me hooked. I almost threw my phone a couple of times when I couldn’t believe what was happening but I was calmed back down by a twist or something.

Aimee’s entire life has been on the street. She knows the ins, the outs, the highways, the byways, the no gos, and everything in between. She had to learn them to survive. Aimee has a small collection of the most interesting friends. She never knows when she will need one for something. One night when she is making a final delivery for the courier service she works for, she saves the life of a very important man, except she has no idea who he is.

He is Sheik Qadir Saif-Ad-Din, the heir to the throne of Jawahir. Qadir is instantly memorized by this tiny creature that shows more street smarts than his highly trained guards. Qadir knows that Aimee isn’t one that can be caged or is interested in the trappings of his title. Aimee is wild and free, like the desert wind. As the danger mounts around Qadir, Aimee must make some life shattering choices. But when Qadir is captured and being held hostage, will Aimee risk everything to help him?

This book was fantastic. I can’t wait for the next in the series. Idella is more than she appears to be?? Yep, I am hooked. I didn’t need another series but I am not letting this one go!!

Bratva, hidden secrets, nothing is as it seems…..This is a love story with some awesome suspense. Dominick is the car thief for the Popov Bratva. He’s got many secrets to hide. Leah is a country singer with a background that she doesn’t want known. One night, an attempted car heist brings these two together and the rest is, as they say, history. Oh my, I love the drama. The sparks fly of the two of them. There is chemistry so hot that I’m surprised the car didn’t melt. These two try to avoid each other and instead wind up closer then ever. The characters are so well-written. They are very relatable. I was shocked with a few of the plot twists. I was rooting for them also. I loved the dialogue. The plot ran smooth even with a couple of sub stories. This is a contemporary romance that is a quick read and quite enjoyable. You should hit that one-click and give it a read. You won’t be sorry. Highly recommend.
