ALTERATIONS TRILOGY: Alterations, Game Changer, Primal Will by Jane Suen is a solid psychological thriller collection, that has a sci-fi look at that quick fix, and how if it’s too good to be true.. then…
I’m so happy this was released as a box set, as each book is fairly short, together making this a full read. That and, you don’t have to wait for the next book to be released. As this is a box set I’m going to just give some highlights of my reviews, from each book.
Alterations: “What made me hooked on this story was the mystery that started with Gigi, even though I knew what was going on, her roommate didn’t. So that was a fun subplot. Out of the three Ladies, Lilly was my favourite. She didn’t have much screen time, but the bit that she did made me wish she had more, and that there was more to it. She brought something crazy, and dangerous.”
Game Changer: “I have a slight feeling that something isn’t quite right with the girls, there are multi hints dropped and suggestive word play that makes you think everything is going to hit the fan in the next book. If I’m right, or partly right, I think the next book is going to be freaking epic.”
Primal Will: “Overall I loved this series, it had like I said, a dark grittiness to it that draws you in. The split POV between all the main MC’s, made you feel like a fly on the wall, but at the same time, you weren’t getting everything. Just glimpse of their lives, who they are, and why they needed to be “fixed” in the first place. There is a clear message, nothing is ever a quick fix, you need to want to change and put to work. The mind is a funny thing, Dr. Kite finds that out the hard way“.
I don’t believe I need to say anymore, only that this series is worth your time and energy. There’s a deepness to it, because all these girls, and the things they wanted “fix” are things, that at one point, we as humans, have wanted fixed. So what would do? Having that quick fix at your fingertips..
If this has piped your interest, in any way, then this is where I’m going to leave you, with my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval. This collection is something special, and I believe it will spark, the what if’s in your own mind.. to the point of going down the rabbit hole.

Where to start, oh where to start. This series has taken me on a wild ride with my emotions, my mind, and my surroundings. Meghan O’Flynn is a master mind. It still amazes me how someone could write such a series of sinister psychological story and still be able to sleep at night. Her characters are amazing and yet complex. This story made me be grateful for my family but also fear what is happening to my daughters while they are not with me. Just when Detective Petrosky thought it was going to be quiet and a little peaceful the Ash Park killer is back. We saw a little of Detective Petrosky’s history in the previous volumes, but it was only bits and pieces. This story can be a stand-alone book, but with little tibbits here and there it would be helpful. Detective Petrosky has a dark part in his mind with the gruesome murder of his own daughter that when there is another girl gone missing, he has a heavy heart and fears the unknown. Will Detective Petrosky find the killer? Will he be able to move on? Only time can tell.

Wow this was such a good read. It had a lot of good material packed in a short punch and I loved it. It really made me think, kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next, and even had me yelling at my kindle a few times. I have really expanded my reading genera’s this last year to include more of the futuristic and dystopian novels that I would have normally never picked up, and I must confess I am so very happy that I have. Jane Suen is one author in this area that never lets me down. She writes with such a beautiful flow and imagination that I can completely see this happening right now and it being completely for seeable. I love that about her novels and this one was no different.
First off, we meet Gigi, right as she is about to make a very rash and permanent decision, when suddenly Dr. Kite’s men step in and thankfully save her from herself. Or do they? Throughout the novel she tries to figure out what happened to her that day. What will happen when she links it all back to the decision she made to save her life and heal her body years ago from a disease that was killing her spirit and as much as her health?
“We gave you perfection, how could you not want that? No disease, no malfunctioning organs, every cell optimized and in perfect working order.”
Next, we meet Lilly Cooper, bitter and angry after her recent divorce. She is struggling to come to terms with living life and battling her demons at the same time. Will the doctor be able to help her or will it be worth the risks involved?
“She wondered, was is a display of her chip gone bad, or did it become an instrument to release her deepest desire, her dark evil within?” ~Lilly
Ellen Fullbright has spent her entire life being the butt of all the bullies jokes and teasing. She just wants to fit into her size six dress for her cousin’s upcoming wedding, but she has hit that plateau and is feeling hopeless when she stumbles upon and alterations shop that promises her a permanent fix if she follows the directions on a little white card. Will she be able to follow through?
Game Changer Book #2
I can’t honestly say enough good things about this book, but I will try to narrow it down a bit for this review. I can see this whole series as a movie. I would wait with baited breath for each episode. It is a gripping experience, with emotional, suspenseful, mysteries and so much more. Game Changer is actually the second book in the Alterations Trilogy from Jane Suen. I had no idea that there was going to be another book, so was thrilled when I found out there is another after this one. I would highly recommend that you go back and start with book one before you dive into this one. Actually… maybe not read this review from here because it will spoil it…
If you read book one… This one picks up exactly…”One year, three months and two days after the fire destroyed Dr. Kite’s warehouse.” The fire is where book one left off. From here the story delves into the lives of the women that were in book one and Dr. Kite. It is written in a format where you get little glimpses, stories about where each character is at, and what they are doing, since the fire destroyed everything that Dr. Kite had on the chips that he implanted in the women.
We find out Dr. Kite is not doing so hot after the fire. He has kind of given up on life since his main project, which was his baby, has been destroyed. He moved away and is still in a funk. I want to like him though, not sure why? There was a feeling as if it was building into something with his character but then left off… Maybe a twist there?
“He looked at his rumpled pants, still full of creases from the day before, and the worn brown belt with the dull buckle at his waist, his crinkled, blue cotton shirt barely tucked in. Disgusted with himself, he quietly retreated, cursing his appearance, wishing he could change her first impression of him.”
Ellen is blown away when her pregnancy test came back positive. She actually finds herself good at being a single mom. She will stop at nothing to give her daughter the best life she possibly can. Her story also ended with an odd question or two in mind… Another twist coming?
“Thoughts swirled in her head. How can this be? Me, a mother? I lost weight, but I’m gaining something else- a baby!”
Then we have Gigi, I really enjoy her. She is discovering how amazing it is to be in true love and I was happy to see that she was having some peace. Her story was pretty open-ended so I could see where there will be more of her in the next novel.
“As she rounded the corner, Rex came into view, dressed in a plaid shirt, jeans, and work gloves. Her heart raced as she laid her eyes on him. Her man.”
Lilly, last but not least, is throwing herself into a new phase in her life. She has been training women for no one knows exactly, but I didn’t get a good vibe from the situation. Definitely did not get the full answers to my burning questions.
“She stood in the middle of the circle, surrounded by women. Pivoting slowly, Lilly looked around, locking eyes with each in a silent greeting. Altogether, an even dozen. An exclusive group.”
As these stories unfold you find them culminating into a lot of questions. What will come next? What will happen to each of them? Does all their separate lives have any ties other than their history with the chip? I can’t believe that this would be easy to end in just one more book, but bring it on Jane Suen. I will be impatiently waiting over here.
Primal Will Book #3
I am so sad to see this trilogy come to an end. It is bittersweet because I was excited to find out how this would all come together, yet I didn’t want it to end. I can only hope that the ‘loose ends’ that Suen left us with will mean a potential spin-off series in the near future. When I first discovered Jane Suen I was looking for something different at the time from my typical romance happy ending storylines. I got so much more than I was even expecting then, and Suen has continued to reel me in and bring me back for more. I love that nothing from her is typical or expected. Definitely not predictable, and that makes for some great reading material! I chose to read this novel on a cool and rainy day under the covers with some hot tea, and it was the perfect way to spend my afternoon.
Given that this is the third book in a trilogy, I would highly recommend that you read books one, Alterations. Followed by book two, Game Changer. I would do so before you read this one, and this review. Inevitably there will be spoilers from previous novels, but I will do my best to keep them minimal.
This trilogy has been centered on three women and the man that links them all together with his ‘mad science’. This will pick up right where we left off in Game Changer. The women are coming full circle now and this is kind of an update as to where the characters are. Gigi, Ellen, and Lilly are finding where they belong in this world. Dr. Kite is along for the ride as well and we get more of the multiple POV’s which enriches the story. This is a fast and short read, mostly tying up the loose ends if you will from the previous two books. I was left hanging with a few questions, but like I said, I can only hope that means that a spin-off series is in the works or could be in the works. Overall, I was really happy with how the trilogy played out. I enjoyed the themes of self-discovery, dystopian worlds, romance, and so much more being woven throughout each novel. I can’t wait to see what will come next from Jane Suen!!

The Jack (The Immortal Series Book two) by M.K. Harkins
5 Stars!!!!!
I so love finding new authors as well as a new series. I however am also in the bad habit of reading the books out of order. I came across this author by suggestion and I am glad I did. This author has a refreshing writing style and representation of immortals. I quite like the concept of the Readers, the Jacks, and the Seers. Even though this is the second book I wasn’t out of sorts as I read it and found it quite easy to get to grasps of what was going on.
I like how the drama unfolds around Archer. I found myself really routing for him as he was looked upon as the black sheep so to speak. I like how everything all fell into place and how the chemistry between Archer and Sadie developed over the book. I found myself glued to the pages to see how things would play out as the twists and turns in the drama unfolded. I really look forward to reading more from this author and this series.

Lilly, Gigi and Ellen are all looking to improve their lives. But with everything, it comes with a price. Love, happiness, and health, not too much to ask for. Nothing comes easy, but the fight could be worth everything. Bring in the man with all the answers, or mind controlled chips. Mr. Kite has what they are looking for. But what does he want I return?
Jane Suen series is quick and easy to read. Great when you have time that needs filled in. But you want to finish the book. Each book is loaded with mystery and intrigue. I loved each book in this series. They filled all my feels, laughter, tears and anger. Jane Suen was a new author for me. But after this series, I keep an eye out for anything she writes. I feel you will love this series as much as I did.

Redemption: An Ash Park Novel by Meghan O’Flynn is one not to be missed. It totally took me by surprise. Nope I totally did not see that coming. Never in a million years did I suspect that. Meghan has done an exceptionally fantastic job on this series and Redemption rounded everything off nicely. Except I am still pouting/heartbroken over the loss from the last book. I am not going to mention anything about the story because you need to find out for yourself but let me tell you there were a few heart attacks, a few choice words, a lot of emotional turmoil, unbelieving that it was happening and that was just from me. Imagine how the characters felt and what they were going through. Meghan’s writing is effortless and she makes you feel as though you are going through everything the characters are going through and she is the queen of plots, twists and turns, roller coaster rides and so much more. Ash Park series is not for the faint of heart, it is one who loves thrills and chills, murder and mayhem. I swear this series should be made into movies.

Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn is the fifth book in her Ash Park series. As gripping and intense as the others this book is a must read. Detective Petrosky is haunted my memories of his daughter. He is haunted by memories of a killer and he is haunted be memories of another young woman. One who reminds him of his daughter. He is so haunted by everything in his past that he wished he could just end it all. Until he receives a phone call – the one that could change everything. Detective Petrosky is forced to put his grief on hold to throw himself back into a fight he thought long over. The question is, who will be the victor. This series is such a strong series. Each book has you hooked and this one was no different. The story takes you on a fast paced and intense journey, one that you will never be sure as to what the outcome will be. It will have you not wanting to put the book down until it is over. Meghan O’Flynn has done it again and produced a book that is so easy to read. Definitely worth recommending!

Redemption is the fifth book in the brilliant Ash Park Series by Meghan O’Flynn. This series just goes from strength to strength, each book delivering an intense, gripping, and polished read. As I have said numerous times now, I am so impressed with Ms. O’Flynn’s ability to spin an incredibly clever thriller- her books just get better and better as the series evolves. The amount of tension, suspense, shocks, and brilliant twists, surprises, and puzzling situations that she infuses into each story really makes me sit up and take notice- always unpredictable right up till the end- delivering heart pounding, stomach clenching, and mind-blowing reading. I read the instalments in fairly quick succession because I didn’t want to forget any of the details- so as each story unfolded, I was held in its grip, anxiously holding my breath, glued to the pages and clamouring to find out what happens….. and I’ve loved every single breathtaking moment. I suppose that this could be read as a standalone if you really wanted to- but, I strongly recommend reading the entire series (or at the very least books #1 and #4) before starting this one and I will explain- this story takes place 6 months after the events of the previous book and there were pertinent, tragic developments that set the tone and mood of this book and impacts on one of the major characters mindset, in a huge way. The author also takes us full circle, taking us back to where this journey began by revisiting events and storyline from book #1- so I feel that having all that information is also important because it gives you a greater perspective of events, motivations, and insight into the recurring cast of characters, backstory, and other pertinent information. All of which will enhance your overall reading experience of this book (and series as a whole)! Detective Edward Petrosky is a broken man. He was already heavily burdened by tragedy and pain from a traumatizing incident 10 years earlier, where his young daughter was brutally raped and murdered. Then the devastating events in the last book (#4) only compounded his feelings and self-loathing, as well as destroying the last remnants of his shattered soul- intensifying his guilt and self-recrimination. He’s in a major funk, down so deep he can’t see any light, feeling like he’s failed all the people he loved. But Ms. O’Flynn will push him to the limits, maybe even going so far as pushing him over the edge. He is thrown into a complex and multi-faceted investigation where the ghosts of the past come back into play. He’s thrust into the most intense situation to date! I can’t say too much more without giving away spoilers but suffice to say I gnawed off all my fingernails as I accompanied him through this shocking, thrilling and complicated story. I really, really, really, really hope that this isn’t the last we’ll see of the Ash Park Series (hint, hint, Ms. O’Flynn ?) Incredible!

Hidden was a great 5 star read and book 4 in the Ash Park series. Meghan continues to pull me right in with her writing and I didn’t want to stop until I was done. There is all sorts of dark going on in this great series and Hidden continues to add even more.
Petrosky is working on a brutal murder case of a grandmother. When he discovers that a killer from the past is back he is determined to stop him. I was trying to figure things out right from the beginning and flying threw the pages to see what was coming next.
Will he be able solve the murder before anyone else becomes a victim?
There is so much more to this great read. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. If your looking for a great read with unexpected twists and turns with murder, mystery, suspense and so much more than 1-click and get started today. I’m super excited to get my hands on the next book in the series.
Love, Christmas – Movies You Love (The Holiday Series #2) by Various Authors, was a light heart, sweet, cheesy, slighly thillerish, good feels read that just put me in the mood to be ready for, the upcoming holidays.
This anthology is a little different then your normal hallmark like Christmas collection. This as the title says, is based off favorite movies classic, some updated, some a little bent, but all have that cheesy, good feel spirit that I love.
Being as there are 26 stories, I have yet to read them all, I will, I just want to space them out until that glitty month is upon us. But I have read enough to where I need to tell you that, this book is worth your time and energy. And I’m going to tell you my first impressions, from the first story, and one more that I quite loved.
A Wonderful Life by Mimi Barbour; pulled me in right away. The guardian angel, Noel, and Mary. It was strongly impactful, especially that opening scene. With a little divine help, sometimes things just fall into place, and for Noel, if he had done what he had intended, things for Mary would have been hell, and she, would have, even be possibly died. The power of choice is strong in that first story and it hit home a little too close.
The other story I’m going to touch on is the fourth story, Can She Get Home for Christmas? by Rebecca York. Again another story that starts with a bang. That opening in the snow, the dark and the storm. Growing up in Northern Newfoundland, I know snow storms, so I knew the panic Sam was in, and I felt the cold. I like the paranormal elements, the mystery, and the little bit of a thriller. It topped off this story and made it stand out.
Overall this anthology isn’t just stories about Christmas, it has many different elements, a good mixing of genres, and of course an amazing assortment of very talented authors. You’re getting a little bit of everything, and I truly believe there is a story in here for everyone, even if you don’t like holiday themed books. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will find an engrossing read, and fall head over heels for this magical collection.

Give and Take is book two in the Thorne Brothers series. While I have not read the first book, I had no problem following along with book two. It can be read as a stand alone. Although after reading this one I do want to read the rest of the series. This is the first I’ve read of Lee Kilraine and I was not disappointed. Great story!

Hidden: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 4 by Meghan O’Flynn 4 out of 5 stars This Author is a best seller for a reason. Everything she writes is gold. Detective Edward Petrosky carries the pain of the world on his shoulders. This is very true when he is handed his new case of murder of a grandmother, dead on her front lawn. Creepy as that is, Petrosky has his own issues with it, such as why did no one hear her scream? Why are there children’s footprints outside where there are no kids around?…..what the heck is that in the basement?? This poor grandma took all of her secrets to her grave and someone wanted her to take them with her violently. When bodies start to pile up and Petrosky recognizes the fashion in which they are murdered, he starts to panic that a deranged killer is back on the loose and is ready for more blood. This 4th book in this series had my heart pounding. I could not catch my breath. Ms O’Flynn is a fantastic story teller and can bring to life such detail and you do no lack for anything. Most definitely an 18+ for the strong language and violence. Highly recommended

Repressed: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 3 by Meghan O’Flynn 4 out of 5 Stars This third book in this series is beyond amazing. Curtis Morrison has had a rough life, but right now, life is good for him. Newly married, a Detective at Ash Park Police and a baby girl. But all of that comes crashing to a halt when his wife and daughter go missing and his life goes into a tail spin. Someone from his past is coming back to get him, and they are making his live h*ll. He has spent the better half of his adult life trying to get away from the life he left, but someone does not want him to forget. Someone wants him to remember and they want to make him remember in a way that will hurt him the worst, and time is running out. Ms O’Flynn is a very talented writer. This book was full of passion, secondary emotions and strong details. I loved every second of this book. Most definitely an 18+ for the strong language and violence but a fantastic book nonetheless. If you love James Patterson, or books similar, you will love this book.

The Boss is an amazing opening to Abigail Owen’s Fire’s Edge series! It is the very first book I have read by this writer and I cannot wait for getting my hands on the next one in the series! I fell in love with her writing style from page one – with such few and selected words, she took me there, I could feel Finn’s pain and his heart turning into a stone. The Boss is the story of enforcer dragon shifters team leader, THE BOSS, Finn Conleth and Delaney Hamilton who keeps starting those freaky fires! What a flaming nightmare, literally and figuratively! I love dragon stories and I loved how different Abigail Owen’s dragon world is, it is a totally different take on it – dragons who are firefighters! At the same time, why not? They will be putting out fires and keep the secret of dragons getting out! I loved the characters, their romance and their struggle with their past, their kink … the action, the suspense, the fight between the dragons and the baddies and the fire … oh my, the fire! I am looking forward to picking up the next one in the series and I am sure the writer will bring even more heat as this is supposedly the prequel!

Conviction: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 2 by Meghan O’Flynn 4 out of 5 Stars This book is intense. If there was ever a white-knuckled thriller, this book would be in the running. I could not turn the pages fast enough on this book. Shannon Taylor is the main character for this book and lord have mercy is she a powerhouse. Being a District Attorney for her city means that she has to be tough as nails and when she has to deal with the lowest of the low, she is as tough as they come, except when it evidence shows that she may have put a young mother in jail for a murder that she didn’t commit. That will crack the edges of even the hardest hearts. Shannon knows the girls is hiding something but she won’t say what, or who it is and Shannon herself becomes the victim/target of warnings and targeted messages. Shannon has to race against the clock to protect herself and to right the wrong she has done by putting the right person behind bars, she just isn’t sure if she will be put into the ground first. Ms O’Flynn is a very talented writer. This book was full of passion, secondary emotions and strong details. I loved every second of this book. Most defiantly an 18+ for the strong language and violence but a fantastic book none the less. If you love James Patterson, or books similar, you will love this book.

Famished: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 1 by Meghan O’Flynn 4 out of 5 Stars This book was a tough one for me to get through, I will be honest. This book had me scared in a few places and I had to put my kindle down at times to catch my breath. Hannah Montgomery is a volunteer at a local women’s shelter in Ash Park. When women from her shelter go missing, Hannah starts to suspect that something is wrong, very, very, wrong, and she is very, very right. A serial killer is slicing and dicing up women in her neighborhood. The police think that Hannah has something to do with it after her boyfriend is murdered in the same fashion. Hannah knows who the murder is…problem is….they are only getting started. I couldn’t sit still with this book. I was so antsy reading this because of the detail of this book. My cat jumped on my bed at one point and I screamed! I love a good thriller and this book delivers all of that and more. Most defiantly an 18+ for the strong language and violence. Highly recommended

Since this is book 2 I would suggest reading The Reader, book 1, to give back story even though this takes place a couple years after. I really enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down once I started. I was so engrossed in this story I forgot to cook dinner on time, whoops! I loved the story and how it dragged me right in and kept me hooked to see what would happen next. I dont want to give anything away about this book it needs to be experienced on your own! I cant wait to read more from this author.

K.G. Fletcher’s third book in the Southern Promises series is Georgia Pine. This contemporary romances is yet another well tuned addition to this series. The author’s words from the first chapter draw you in, fitting you within the characters as they progress from chapter to chapter. The combination of characters for the male/female leads would not necessarily be ones I would pair together, yet they work – they work well. I enjoyed Tim’s story – it was emotional trying and there was a lot of growth from him in this book while learning more about himself, what he wants and needs in his life, along with looking for more than what he has. I will admit that he is definitely one of the best male characters I have read in quite a while. It takes a lot for a particular character to shine and K.G. Fletcher has delivered that in spades.

Broken Circle, by Amy McKinley, is the first book of the Gray Ghost series. This romantic suspense is a great lead in to the series and what to expect from this author with these books. In Broken Circle, Olivia and Alex are the main/feature characters of this novel. The suspense and intrigue are well drawn on throughout the story and I felt tied to the characters as the story unfolded, from Olivia’s emotional state, questions as the come, and curiosity of what lays ahead for both Olivia and Alex. Amy McKinley is a talented author and it shines in the Gray Ghost series, from the character development, the story lines and the anticipation that is built within the stories – it all perfectly comes together in this book/series.

Eye of the Storm, by Amy McKinley, is the second book of the Gray Ghost series. This novel was a pager turner; the author has found the right mix of ingredients to deliver in this novel and do it well. Delving into organized crime and how that impacts actions of the characters within the story were laid out and seamlessly fell into the story. Chris and Mari were elementally aligned here, how they navigate around each other, around others, who they can or cannot trust, along with determining what they do and do not value. This story involved but emotional and physical journeys of survival. Both lead characters were strong. The Gray Ghost series is an unforgettable read!!

Amy McKinley’s Moments That Define Us is a Gray Ghost series prequel. The author sets the stage in this short novella introducing the characters and the events that started what’s potentially to come in subsequent books within the series. I found this story of Jack and his family enlightening, well written and insightful. Amy McKinley shares characters that are flawed, somewhat broken in their own unique ways as they fight to put their mark on the world and find their place. Even with the limited pages of this story, the author packed a lot in and it was done without feeling rushed or over done.

Give me all the Christmas type stories you can all year round! I’m a sucker for them and this collection is fantastic and exactly what I was hoping for. Each story is different and well written. A few of my favorites are: Her Mr. Miracle, Mistletoe Inn and A Christmas Creek Carol. In Her Mr. Miracle we meet Ronnie who needs a bit of an escape but runs into some issues and meets Adam. This entire story makes my heart melt and had me hooked. It’s well written and paced nicely.
In Mistletoe Inn we get an emotional romance story about Noah and Molly. It’s everything I love in a holiday season romance story. The characters are relatable and easy to connect with. The author captures the spirit in written form with attention to details and characters you can relate to.
In A Christmas Creek Carol we have Ebony and Blaze who have known each other forever but will this holiday season bring them closer like Blaze would like? Ebony is all work with a deadline, can she remember there’s more to life than work over the holiday?
Each story pulls at heartstrings and captured the holiday spirit. I absolutely love when authors come together for collections because it’s a great way to find new authors and try their stories. I love everything about this collection and will definitely be reading more by each author and reading this collection over again! Giving this collection a five star review and highly recommend it to anyone.

This was my first time reading anything from Lee Kilraine. Now this is the second book in a series, The Thorne Brothers to be exact, but it didn’t hinder my enjoyment of this one that I had not read the first. I will be going back to do so now that I know about it and have enjoyed this one so much. There was a wonderful flow to the writing banter that went back and forth between our two main characters that I just couldn’t get enough of. I hope to find more of that in future couples to come as well.
In this novel we get the story of Wyatt Thorne. He hasn’t had things so easy. In fact he had an extremely traumatic childhood. This led him to live a speechless few years until he was about six. From that age he found the peace he needed in creativity. In creating things with his hands. The solitude it provided him allowed him to come out of his shell just enough to blend into the world, and start a successful business.
“Fun? Thank you, Wyatt? No. I didn’t sign up for this. It was bad enough we had to use my office for meetings, but this- this sharing an office with a talking rainbow… no.”
Wyatt’s complex but in place life is blown upside down when Rhia Hollis sweeps into it. Fate and his older brother Beckett has decided to put her in his path and he has to figure out exactly what he is going to do now. She is the complete opposite of him; loud and boisterous, and worst of all she never stops talking! The one thing they do have in common is their creativity. Rhia is a party planner and starting up her party planning business.

Michael’s Heart by Lori Thomas Harrington. I went into this story expecting it to be good because it sounded like just what I was looking for. What I wasn’t prepared for was just how amazing it ended up being, immediately I was drawn into this story and couldn’t put it down. This story is beyond beautifully written, it’s incredible. From page one I felt transported to another world I never wanted to leave. The characters are complex and relatable, making you feel like you truly live your life with them. It’s emotional and inspirational. Colbie will forever stick with me no matter how much time passes after reading this, I just loved her character. This story will stay with you well after the pages are done. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to everyone.

Oh my goodness..I loved this so much. We are coming in to my favorite time of the year and this group of authors just made my last couple days and I am now completely in the spirit of my favorite season of all time!
I don’t know who came up with this idea of taking my favorite movies of the season and turning them into books inspired by these movies but it was a brilliant idea. What I loved also was that there are a few authors in this anthology that are already absolute favorites of mine, and now I have so many more new authors that I want to read more from.
I thought that maybe I would write a little bit about each story but oh my that would take a while, and then I thought well Ill write about a few of my favorites and i couldn’t figure out which ones I liked best.
I can only say that you must read these stories. Carve out some time, and if your having trouble getting into the spirit of the season this is all you will need to remedy that.
I will absolutely read every one of these again on a cold icky weekend cuddled up in my favorite chair sipping my favorite coffee, and will be visiting each of these authors pages to find more from each of them.

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 1-3) by K.L. Montgomery is a great series of stand-alone books. Each of these books features a different couple but each book is just as good as the others. The plots are varied and the characters are all different but completely relatable. The author knows how to weave a tale that will keep you thoroughly entertained. If you haven’t done so already I would recommend reading these books immediately.

This box set includes Fat Girl, The Flip and Plot Twist. I wasn’t a fan of Fat Girl to much due to way too much thinking in the characters head (I prefer action and dialog) but the character themselves were good. This proved to be true as you get to see each of them in the other two stories. The Flip was the a lot more enjoyable to me. The silly things that happened and the outrageous characters really added to the story. The two main characters had a fiery relationship. I enjoyed a lot of back and forth banters…..so full of sass. Plot Twist was full of humor and I really felt like a friend or maybe an extra on the set :). The characters really drew me in and I enjoyed reading this book immensely. The secondary characters in this one(as with the previous two) were out of this world. They all had such great roles and added to the story. Along with making me laugh and chuckle.
This is a definite series to read if you want to be taken on an adventure, or fall in love with the characters, make new friends and enjoy a good chuckle. They all have a nice message included as well from characters that seem like they could be your bestie or neighbors.

GIVE AND TAKE is Book 2 in the Thorne Brothers Series and I think it would be helpful to read book 1 just to understand the amazing dynamic that takes place in this family. If you don’t have time – that’s ok because you will still enjoy this one.
The author does such a fantastic job of giving each character individual traits while keeping the main thread of relationship going along. This series is building off each siblings experience growing up and how they now contribute to the family and world around them.
I think the author handles what could be sensitive subjects with a grace that allows the reader to stay immersed in the story and feel the feelings but not want to throw the Kindle out the window (or perhaps that’s just MY experience). This book is full of humor (omg the first scene had me chuckling so hard) and heart and romance and sweetness and just over all goodness.
I originally rated this book as a 4 and then as I started writing the review, I thought I WOULD gift this book to a friend or buy it for myself at a signing so I’ve changed it to a 5.
I absolutely recommend this author, this series and this story.

I’m so glad I “stumbled” upon this anthology. Some of these authors are new to me while others are authors I’ve become familiar with over the last few years. While some of the stories are novellas or shorts from series, I don’t think you will be lost at all with any of them and may actually desire to read the entire series because they are that good.
Each story is a take on a “holiday” movie. Either a complete retelling or “fan fiction”… Some I have seen some I have not. Some movies I LOVED and watched over and over and others I didn’t care for. Based on my movie viewing experience, I tried to be unbiased when reading these stories.
Here are a few samples of the stories.
LOVE, ACTUALLY BY THE SEA by Traci Hall – A quick and emotional story about memories and realities and new beginnings. A story about having regrets before even trying. “Life just happens. Nothing extra special or pre-ordained about it.”
TWO HEARTS HOME FOR CHRISTMAS (TWO HEARTS WOUNDED WARRIOR ROMANCE BOOK 9) by Tamara Ferguson While this is book 9 of a series, it can absolutely be read as a stand-alone. I love love love this entire series and this was a fantastic addition to it. This is one that I hope you fall in love with and go back to the beginning where it all started.
THE HOLIDAY (CHRISTMAS) by Nancy Radke This is a story about house switching and I LOVED THE MOVIE so I was a little worried about how the author would “re-imagine” the story. It was everything I wanted it to be and so much more.
I could go on and on and recap every book, but I feel like that would be doing you a disservice. Grab this anthology and read them all. It is one of those books that you can pick up and put down and not worry about “missing anything”. If you are like me, you will rip right through it.
I would recommend this to anyone and everyone who enjoys reading and especially if they like reading holiday tales.

The Boss by Abigail Owen has topped my list of favourite books! I honestly couldn’t love this book more than I do. I was so captivated by this storyline that I read this book in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. This was my first book by this author, but it won’t be my last, I plan on diving in to all of Abigail Owen’s work ASAP!
The Boss is the first book in the Fire’s Edge series, a series that I can’t wait to read. This book is intense, entertaining, dramatic, riveting and so steamy, everything I love in a paranormal shifter read. Finn and Delaney were incredible, and I loved following their journey! There was so much vivid detail that I could easily picture everything playing out in my mind which made this such an entertaining read!
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next paranormal shifter read, it’s one you won’t want to miss!
