Silk Road was a good 5 star read and book six in the Code Raven series. There is so much going on in this read, you get pulled in by several different characters. There is lots of action and on the edge of your seat thrilling moments. The theme of the story is about human trafficking and it just breaks your heart what these kids go through.
The Raven Group were a family with a higher life purpose. Luke would do anything for his family of warriors and misfits.
Luke, Luci and the rest of the Raven group become involved in helping find some missing children. Will they be able to find them before anything bad happens? Luke is also dealing with his feelings for Luci, will he be able to finally open his heart up and find love again?
All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. If your looking for a great nail biting series with lots of detail this is the one for you. Lynda Filler does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. I look forward to reading more from her.
Say When Is the ninth book in the Cedarville novel series by Bree Kraemer. Even though it is the ninth book in the series, it can be read as a standalone without feeling like you are missing vital information or leaving you confused. I love the fact that each book in the Cedarville ‘family’ focuses on a particular couple- but there are recurring characters, who we have met previously, who make appearances, which really gives this book a charming quality. I really enjoy Ms. Kraemer’s writing- she always weaves a wonderful story that entices me in and keeps hold of me right through to the end. This series just seems to get better with each new instalment, not losing momentum or appeal. The characters are so well crafted that they bring the whole story to life. This is definitely one of my favourites of the series, and I really wanted to hang out with them and eat cupcakes ?. Dani, who we have met previously, as she bakes the desserts for Wes’s restaurant “Dockside” (After All These Years- Book #7) is so quiet, introverted and chronically shy that it has held her back from truly living and following her dreams. This fear has almost taken over her life, and Dani will have to learn to face her fears and overcome them in order to have a ‘real’ life. She’s passionate about baking and always has been- she’s an extremely talented baker who creates incredibly delicious morsels. The very same morsels that a certain chef at “Dockside” can’t seem to get enough of, devouring the tasty sweets daily. What happens when he finally meets the shy baker? Find out in this super sweet story….

It hooks you in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. It is a story that includes suspense and mystery. It had me turning pages in order to find out what was going to happen next in both the plot and to the characters. I loved reading about the character of Karina Cardinal. She is a lawyer who is independent and intelligent. Some would also call her a lobbyist on Capitol Hill, however, she would cringe at such a label. She runs into a mystery when at her boyfriend’s parent’s home for a holiday party. What happens next has Karina’s investigative skills and a bit of paranoia working overtime. Is the painting that she has seen one that was stolen so many years ago? Why does her boyfriend’s father have the stolen masterpiece? Now that she has started an investigation into the painting how much danger is she in? Read this book to find out. There are times when this story had me on the edge of my seat. Trying to put together the clues that Karina uncovers is like trying to put together a puzzle to find the truth. The other character that I enjoyed reading about in this story is Mike Finnegan. He is an old friend of Karina’s and works for the FBI. This is a wonderfully written story with some amazing characters. Highly recommended.

Oh my goodness I just love this series, I couldn’t wait to dig into this after finishing book 1 and now Im feeling the same about book 3.
This continues Katarina and Chases story and I am just so in love with these two people, the way they communicate and how their story just keeps building, it is awesome. I love the email interaction between them and their texting while in the same room…
Alot going on in this story and Katarina is trying with all she has to come to grips with everything in Chases life and then along comes her father and I was shocked by all that is him.
Chase is all alpha and everything that comes with that, Katarina is strong and sassy and I love the way this author has built this whole series so far. Her writing is flawless and just flows so that before you know it you are at the end and not ready for it to be over but then you remember..You have book 3 waiting for you, I can’t wait!.
This is my 2nd book by this author and she has a new forever fan…Don’t try to pick this book up without ready the first one, you really need the whole story and believe me when I say you will not be sorry.

Wow what a read. I didn’t connect with Kennedy until a little bit into the book but onve I did I fell in love with her. Her personal struggles in life and work, just made her relatable in such a way I felt I could be friends with her in real life. I’ve never read this author before but shes now on my to be read list!
I love this book! This is part of the Under Ground series. One of my favorite things about this series is how all the characters are connected one way or the other. We get to see them again in their own separate books. My other favorite thing is the characters. They really do make this series flow and there is such a mixture of personalities. This story takes place during a time when status or class is the way of things are. I highly recommend checking out this book!

This is a story of suspense, mystery and some romance. There are even some twists and turns that left me turning pages just to see what was going to happen next. This is a story Karina and how she accidently overhears a conversation that wasn’t meant for her ears. She thinks that she sees the stolen painting that has been missing since 1990. When she is trying to figure out what to do she runs into an old friend. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next.

Tomb for an Eagle by Lexie Conyngham a four-star read. This is the first book in the Orkneyinga Murders series. I didn’t read the blurb of this book so I wasn’t sure what to expect so for the first couple chapters I was a little lost, but then I soon realised what was going on and got hooked on the story. The setting was so well written that you could imagine you were in Scotland with the characters. One thing that I will note that drove me mad but I know others will love were some of the names, I know they were traditional names but I was sure I was pronouncing them wrong in my head, that being said it only bothered me a little and I know it’s one of my personal foibles. The twists and turns will keep you guessing and adds to the drama of the story.

Do Not Open Until Halloween By C.A. King I was hooked as soon as I started reading this awesome young adult fantasy. This book took me on a wonderful magical journey that I couldn’t get enough of. This was a wonderfully well written, full of detail, exceptional story. Even though it’s written for young adults I do believe people of any age can appreciate this story. I felt like I was in the story with Caitlin and her friends, rooting for them. I can’t say enough good things about this story except that it’s a must read!!!! I highly recommend this book!

I might still be in shock after reading this story. The Plot is a thrilling sad story that had my mouth dropping with every moment. Yoko has had a very hard life. It is unimaginable the amount of suffering she has been through. You know these things happen to people every day. But when you read about it just breaks your heart. This story may be fiction but it is someone’s truth. I really enjoyed how the author laid this story out. It wasn’t just some story about a girl getting revenge it was a story of a girl doing better for herself while plotting her revenge. Yoko knew she was meant for something more and she didn’t let her past get in her way. She held a lot of hurt in. I am glad I have this story a try. It definitely gave me a view from the other side. What a solid story. I loved that it has direct correlation to real life events! I found the plot fascinating and the characters to be well developed. The book kept me guessing every page. Sailors Knot (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 4) By Phoebe Alexander What can I say except that everytime I read one of Ms. Alexander’s books they just keep getting better and better!!! I loved this book, it had so much emotion, love, twists and of course some steamy moments. I truly enjoyed experiencing Casey’s story, her past and present, she is such a strong and compassionate woman. I have loved her since I was introduced to her. This book can be read as a standalone but I suggest reading all the books in this series because they are awesome and why would you want to miss out on anything that’s awesome. All of the books in this series have drawn me in and kept me completely enthralled till I read the final page. I highly recommend this book it has everything you need in a great story!!

Elegantly Denim: An Elegant Prelude by Tee Smith is the prequel to the Elegant series. I have had this book in my Kindle for a while now and just got the opportunity to read it and I’m so glad I did. I was a little turned off at first by Denim, but it didn’t take long to find the good in him and start to like him a lot.
Though he is in the family business, I really feel he is better than that, think he has just started to show it. I’m hoping to see him pull away from the family business and find his happiness.
Hope there is more of Wombat in the next book too, there was just something about him that stuck out to me.

This is one of those books that the blurb doesn’t do it justice. I was a little hesitant to read it because I thought it was going to be heavy on human trafficking. While it is a major part of the story, it’s in the past and is the thread that ties the story together.
This is a story of revenge and redemption and self-forgiveness. A complex story that is told in a fantastic way. It was easy to read and flowed well and quickly. The characters were well developed and I was rooting for Yoko from the very beginning. I was able to read every word in this book from beginning to end in one afternoon.
This is the first story I’ve read by this author and I will absolutely read more.

I read the prequel on book one and two but missed books three-five so I will be going back to read those books because this is an amazing series. Ms. Filler is an amazing author and this series is dead on in the evil that’s going on in this world. The characters are well written and there banter is amazing. They are not related by blood and come from all across the world even have some difference in beliefs but there is one thing you can count on in this story/series they are a family and want to help save the world. A new Silk Road train stretches from the eastern shores of Yiwu China to London, England. Its precious cargo is not what’s written on the manifest. A former Navy SEAL gets a terrifying message from his estranged daughter. “I’m desperate! I need your help, Dad. Bring your friends!” When two young children are abducted in the middle of the night from Raven’s sanctuary in the Maldives, Luci, Luke, and the Raven Group will stop at nothing to get them back. A female teenager in Kyrgyzstan is reported missing by tearful peasants. Has she become one of many kidnapped brides? Or is something far more frightening going on? This was my first time reading anything by Alexandria Sure. I wasn’t’ sure what I was going to get but as soon as I saw this gorgeous cover I had to know what the story was. I am so glad that I picked this up. I now not only have a new author to add to my TBR list, but really enjoyed this read.
Credence Woods is a standalone novel that gives us an up close and personal glimpse at the life of Kennedy Hewson. Kennedy is going through a major life change. She just underwent weight loss surgery. What is she supposed to do now? She sticks to the routine and nothing more. That routine that gives her some source of security is about to be thrown off kilter. What will she do? Will she make the right decisions or will she end up walking away from the happiness she could have had?
I will say one thing though, Kennedy did get a bit on my nerves for a bit. I wanted to find a lot to connect with in her given I am a curvy woman and know what it is like to have self-doubt and other issues with image and weight. I don’t know she was just whiney about it more than she was inspirational about it to me personally. Otherwise the story was great and well written and I can’t wait to see what else is available from Alexandria Sure, and what else is to come in the future.
5 out of 5 stars Our unexpected hope written by Michelle Sullivan is an awesome read and a continuous to our next chapter where we met Quinn, Karalyn and Dex were amazing and still strong willed. I had so many different emotions reading this book I laughed cried and I was also pissed at what the main characters had to go through, but they were strong and made it. Seeing the love that Quinn’s parents have for one another she is a hopeless romantic. She hope’s that she could someday find a love like that for herself. What she found with Noah was even better than she ever dreamed possible. Noah has never known love growing up with the feeling of being unwanted. Shuffled from home to home in his youth, adulthood gave him the freedom to make something of himself. He had all he could ever want until Quinn walked into his life and changed everything. I highly recommend this book so join Quinn and Noah on their journey of love, loss and the most unexpected gift they never saw coming. By Tracy By @tracym
I absolutely loved this novel! There are so many reasons why, I don’t know where to start either! I guess I will start with a bit of a disclaimer. I am a sucker for football romances. Always have been. Maybe it is that football season also reminds me of cozy blankets, hoodies, coffee, and bonfires. It is when magical things start to happen. I.E. my favorite time of year. Another reason I adored this book is because this is the first in a series, The Big Apple Series, so there will be more!! At least one more reason… these are both new authors to me, and now they are one-clicks for me. I will have some more TBR to be adding to my list. (Because you know we all need more LOL)
All that said, this was such a fun storyline to follow as well, with several different layers to keep you engaged and on your toes from beginning to end. Lexi Driver, one of my favorite female MC’s this year, was so fun to read. She is quite a complex character with her history. She has started to overcome it, but things start to creep back up and haunt her again when things get messy with her now successful profession, a sportsman reporter.
It is while doing a report that she finds herself wrapped up in a locker room mess and in the path of one ticked off and handsome football player, Brett Brock. I liked Brett, although not at first. It was a bit of, he had to grow on me. That was all part of the charm of the story though. Anyway, Brett is caught with his balls, rather than his football skills, (pun intended LOL) on the screen for the free world to see. This obviously gets under his skin and sets him on a mission to get some revenge of sorts. During this mission though he starts to discover that there may be more to them than just a physical attraction. These two may actually have the makings of soulmates. But not everything is what it seems and just when you think they will be on the road to the expected happily ever after things start happening. What will happen between these two? Do Not Open Until Halloween by C.A. King was a fast pace, unique read, that had me hooked from start to finish.
Not my first read by this author so I knew I was in for something great. I was not disappointed. This book, takes you on a whirlwind adventure almost right out of the gate. It sets up the story in the prologue and adds a twist that will shock you. The ending is sweet, pulling and is left open enough so that if need, C.A. King can revisit this world at any time, and I do hope that is soon.
Coming in at 186 pages this isn’t a overly long read. In saying that, I’m not going to go into characters, or plot, because that will ruin this original read. I want you to experience every little thing this tale has to offer. I will tell you that, the detail is on point, the story itself has so many little things packed into it, that if you blink, you might miss something important. There is a sense of danger mixed into the adventure, and you can’t help but read on to see if they will save the day.
Overall this book was that perfect short read that will hit all your fantasy and otherworldly reading bone. It is a classic in the making and as I have said, I do hope this adventure is continued. The only thing left is to give you my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

I have really fallen in love with the Eastern Shore Swingers Series from Phoebe Alexander. In fact it was with the very first book, ‘Fisher of Men’, that hooked me on to Phoebe Alexander altogether. She has been a one-click author for me ever since. In ‘Fisher of Men’ we are introduced to Casey Fontane and I have been dying for her full story ever since. ‘Sailors Knot’ is exactly that, and so much more. This is part of a series like I have mentioned. With that said, you could read it as a standalone, but I would recommend that you read the others in the series for the full enjoyment. Everything seems to come full circle and I really loved that experience.
Casey is far away from home, fighting cancer, in California at her sister’s home. This one was a bit further removed from the actual swinger’s club and focused more on Casey’s story both present and past, and how it related to the womens from previous books, Paisley and Leah, lives. Oh my word! I adored Casey’s story. I did not see that one coming! What is even more ironic is that I really needed this book at the exact time I read it! (thank you Ms. Alexander!) There is some great and amazing lessons in love and acceptance to be taken away from reading and absorbing Casey’s story. My heart broke for her, but I also completely understood her and appreciated her decisions that she made.
Whether you know anything about swinging or polyamory, don’t worry, this is all done with precision, class, and extensive knowledge. An important thing when you are new or not to reading this or this experience. I also must say something about the amount of emotion that you can feel while reading this novel. Oh mylanta! I was up and down. From about to tears to fanning myself and blushing. I loved every stinking mood swing! I will say you outdid yourself with this one Phoebe Alexander. I can’t wait to find out what you will do next!
A great read about struggling. Skye Mallory has always struggled to find happiness. When her flat nearly burns down, she is saved by fire chief Edward Mendelssohn. But when he is being sued by her client, will she follow her heart or protect her career? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Edward trying to raise his son and help others or Skye standing up for herself and surviving pain or Justin as a sweet kid. A great antagonist in Miles as a well written jerk to cause conflicts in the plot. Also loved the sense of a small town and the visual detail of the vivid flames or the bright and colourful and detail of the artitechturee of the house which was beautifully written. The only issue I would raise is that sometimes the narrative felt a bit repetitive at times. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Must Love Fashion is book one in the Darling Cove series written by Deborah Garland and this is the first book that I read by this author and I enjoyed the story. This is a story about two people finding love amidst the kayatic and frenetic pace of a top fashion house. The story line was great and believable, the characters were well written and realistic. We meet Andrew Morgan, a former male model turned brand manager meets his match in Gwendolyn Mallory, a beautiful small-town public relations specialist he doesn’t think he needs. She was hired to turn the fashion world upside down…not his. Gwen sets out to prove she has what it takes to promote a prestigious brand like Prada. Andrew is already struggling to accept his PR responsibilities have been taken away from him, but the intense attraction he has for Gwen is just plain getting in the way of rational thinking—sleeping with a co-worker has always been on his to-don’t list. But Gwen challenges everything Andrew believes about love and relationships as he puts aside his heartbreaking past to have the woman, he never knew he needed. Code Raven: Silk Road is book 6 in this series from author Lynda Filler. Once again she has proven how captivating her storylines and characters are and I can’t wait to see what else is to come.
Lynda Filler has continued to prove how much better each of these reads can be. Silk Road is thrilling, action-packed and full of twists and turns that left you wondering what was going to happen next and left you wanting more. I was totally captivated and entranced by this read and couldn’t put it down.
The characters in which Lynda has created are relatable, real and you can’t help but want to find out more. I like that every book has a different storyline, yet all relate to the same characters, we get to read about old characters and new characters which keeps this book even more enjoyable. My only issue this time was jumping ahead and missing books but with that being said I didn’t feel lost within the story it flowed seamlessly.
This is a brilliant captivating story that is mentally visual in all aspects of the story. Being a quick read you never feel as though the story is rushed you get just the right amount of story, action – and it doesn’t feel as though everything is crammed in to get to the end of the book.
I can’t wait to see what else is to come from this series and just how much better this author stories can get – she continues to prove how incredibly captivating and riveting her books are and how each one connects you more to the characters involved! This is a series I highly recommend not to be missed!
This is such a good story about love lost and about not taking life and loved ones for granted. This story is also one that requires openminded-ness which readers can always expect from Alexander. Sailors Knot is a well written, exciting, heart-felt story with the possibility of more. More love, more sex, more twists.

This story pulls you into the world of Casey Fontaine and her love for Gabriel and Joshua. This story also gives us a real look into the world of cancer and recovery. Other characters include her sister Connie, Paisley and Leah. These ladies also have their own issues with life and love. Each character learns from Casey about her relationship with the hope of bettering their own. I hope that Connie gets a story of her own, maybe finding that brother Casey promised her! I loved catching up with Paisley and Leah as well, as they are from the first two books in this series.
I recommend this story and the rest of the series as well as other books by Alexander. Each story is a stand alone but reading them in order is helpful. Alexander has written another story worth reading.

Credence Woods by Alexandria Sure is a new age romance story. Ms. Sure has a great talent for pulling me into the story, but I have to say it took a little longer than my previous books. One big reason is that I can relate to Kennedy more than I want to admit. Kennedy was a wall flower. She was overweight and she kept to herself so that she could focus on her career. She is a workaholic and she hasn’t been vacation in a long time. She ends up going to Tennessee and that is where we would say she had an epiphany. She meets someone special and now she does not know what to do. . Kennedy needs to figure out what she wants and needs. Will she go back to her lifestyle or will she stay in Tennessee? You will have to read the book to find out.

Sailors Knot is the 4th book in the Eastern Shore Swingers Series by Phoebe Alexander. I had loved the first three books in this series and had high hopes for this one. It did not disappoint in the slightest. If I’m being totally honest I’d say this is my favourite book of the series. I certainly hope that this series is going to continue. Each book can be read as a standalone but it’s such a fantastic series that I’d recommend that you read them all. Casey Fontaine has been a major character from the first book in the series and I’m so glad that she’s got her own book. This book is set in the present time and in Casey’s younger years. We are told the story of Casey’s polyamorous relationship with two men, Gabriel and Joshua. As with all the previous books in this series there are some seriously hot sex scenes. No complaints from me there as they are so well written. In the present day we live through Casey’s treatment for breast cancer. This is a difficult area to write about and Phoebe Alexander does a fantastic job. When close friends Leah and Paisley come to visit, Casey tells them the story of her youth, making her reminisce about her times with Gabriel and Joshua. When Joshua unexpectedly comes back into Casey’s life is Casey finally going to get her HEA? Read this amazing book to find out.

Must Have Faith is book two in the Darling Cove series by Deborah Garland. I cannot say how much I enjoyed this story. My favourite of this series so far, and I can only hope they just keep getting better. Somehow I don’t think I will be disappointed with what’s to come.
The beginning of this story intrigued me. The middle of the story enchanted me. The ending of this story completed me. The characters added mystery, excitement and attraction. Faith made mistakes. Greg tried to get on with his life. Faith tried to immerse herself in work to lessen the pain. Greg done just enough to survive and tale one day at a time. There were so many feels to their tale. Heartache, loss, realisation, happiness, elation, passion, frustration, love, adoration, rediscovery, anger, tension, contentment, completeness. A whole lot of emotion thrown in, mixed up and blended to make a delicious and tantalising tale.

This is a take on King Authur and his knights of the round table. This story is just the beginning of this series. I feel like it ended at a good place, but there are still a lot of unknowns that will be dealt with in following books. I loved Fionna! She is strong, fierce, and loyal. She deals with a lot of conflict in this book that are both internal and external. I did get a bit frustrated with her at a time for some of her choices, but she is still my favorite character out of the bunch! This story did s great job at grabbing my attention and entangling me so that I cannot wait to read what happens next!
