My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An Appointment ( Summer in New York, #4) by Lindsay Marie Miller. I have read many books by this author and thoroughly enjoyed them all! This book was no exception. This book has love and drama, high emotion and best of all second chance at love.
Savannah has not had the easiest of times lately. She is newly divorced and trying her best to carry on. She has vowed to never make the same mistake again and fall in love. One man in her life is enough, her son. When she has to take him to the doctors, due to his asthma, the last thing she expected to find was Preston. He has been hurt and left alone and also in debt due to his ex-wife. He is extremely attracted to Savannah, will they be able to put their pasts behind them and move forward with their relationship or will past insecurities ruin them?
I truly enjoyed this book and I hope you do as well.

4 stars

While this is book 4, it can be read as a standalone.
Savannah isn’t looking for love, she has her hands full with her son, the only man she will ever need.
Preston has always wanted a family, but his divorce has left him feeling that’ll never happen now.
Can these two fight their attraction or will the pull be too strong?
I really enjoyed this book and all the characters in the story, it held my attention and had me turning pages to see what happened next.
I cant wait for more from this author!

An Appointment (Summer in New York, #4)An Appointment by Lindsay Marie Miller
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An Appointment is the fourth book in Lindsay Marie Miller’s Summer in New York series. I have read EVERY SINGLE one of them! The stories can be read as a standalone but it is great to read them in the order as they are connected through the characters! Our Savannah Taylor, the divorced mother of a young boy is the daughter of Austin and Amy from book #2 (and niece of Claire and Benjamin from book #1). Savannah is not doing too well, the divorce has left her hurt and she feels like life is serving a curveball after curveball and she is barely managing to hold on … enters Dr Preston Cole, a paediatrician who is taking over from his father and who is treating Savannah’s son Trey. He has his own turbulent past, his wife left him for a surgeon and while doing it, broke his heart and his bank account … Both of them have sworn not to love again, not to marry again … and their paths collide …
An Appointment is a contemporary romance filled with drama, angst, frustration, loads of misunderstandings, mystery, emotions … and second chances! At times all of the angst and drama became too much … I get that Savannah was drowning in stress but her jumping into conclusions … well … who knows … I suggest you pick up the whole series and spend hours and hours with characters that don’t leave you cold!

An Appointment is the fourth book in the Summer in New York series. It can be read as a standalone.

This book takes you through a variety of emotions as you follow Savannah and Preston through the story. Both have had their hearts broken by previous relationships so building trust is challenging. Savannah lives for her son, but has to deal with her ex because of custody arrangements. This creates some complications that could strain the budding relationship with Preston. Can both of them traverse the challenges to build a new life together?

Be aware that some of the subject matter in this story may be a trigger for some readers.

An Appointment (Summer in New York, #4)An Appointment by Lindsay Marie Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An Appointment is the fourth book in Summers in New York series by Lindsay Marie Miller. It is a contemporary romance, that has a lot of drama, tension, angst, push/pull, frustration, misunderstandings, mystery, a little suspense, emotion, and second chances.
Savannah Taylor is the daughter of Austin and Amy form book #2, and niece of Claire and Benjamin from Book #1. I just love all the interconnected details like this that Ms. Miller places in her stories. It gives them an added layer of interest. The book/s could be read a standalone, but as there are recurring characters and the interconnected details, I really recommend reading the series as a whole, as having read all the books will give you a better understanding of the characters/backstories- which in turn will enhance you reading experience- not to mention that the other books are really great reads in their own rights, too.
Savannah hasn’t had it easy of late, life keeps throwing her curve balls and she scrambling to keep up. Divorce has left her hurt and confused. She has vowed to never love again. The one good thing to come out of her marriage is her adorable 8 year-old son, Trey. He is her world, the light of her life. There isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for him. So, when his asthma flares up she whisks him off to the doctors.
Preston Cole is a Pediatrician working in the family practice. His has been a bit of an emotional wreck since his wife left him for a surgeon. She broke his heart as well as his bank account. He loves children and had dreamed of having a family of his won- but now his dreams lay in ashes… he would never marry again. But what happens when a feisty, protective mamma bear attracts him from the moment he lays eyes on her? Will she be able to overcome her fears and take a chance on love? What happens when insecurities bleed into their relationship? Will it drive them apart, for good? Grab yourself a copy and find out what happens. There a few surprising developments that I sure didn’t see coming!
This is a sweet, sexy, sizzling, and emotive story. I did feel for the characters and their situation. BUT, there were so many parts that frustrated me to death. I felt that there was way too much push/pull, angst, added drama, misunderstandings, and erratic behaviour- especially from Savannah. I understand she was under a lot of stress, but her push-pull, erratic behaviour, and jumping to conclusions was so frustrating and completely exhausting! It just dragged on for far too long for my liking. Preston deserved a gold medal for putting up with it and remaining caring and supportive the whole while.
Having said that, I am a fan of Ms. Miller’s work- I really do enjoy her imaginative and unique storylines, and I am looking forward to her next book.

Thank you, Ms. Miller!

An Appointment (Summer in New York, #4)An Appointment by Lindsay Marie Miller
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An Appointment is the fourth book in the Summer in New York series from Lindsay Marie Miller, and hands down my favorite of the series so far. I really have enjoyed watching Miller’s writing grow and blossom with each and every novel in this awesome contemporary romance series. I don’t know what it is about An Appointment though, Savannah and her adorable son Tre as well as the ever dreamy Preston just stole my heart right away and ran with it until I had no choice but to put my kindle down because it was sadly over. It is also a huge attraction to me to read novels set in New York and the surrounding areas. I really just have a fascination and can’t wait to someday go back to spend more time there. For now escaping through the pages of a great book is my best bet though and this was one trip I just adored.

Savannah truly hasn’t had the best of luck in love, and honestly I didn’t one second blame her for not being so sure about Preston, no matter how desirable he was from the outside. I can relate. If you have been so badly burned before it is almost impossible to want to trust your heart to someone new. ESPECIALLY when you have a child involved in the mix. Luckily, Preston also understood her situation and unfortunately had his share of unlucky love as well. These two just lit up my kindle and I rooted for them to find that happily ever after from the get go. I was so worried because Ms. Miller sure knows how to keep her readers on their toes! So if you want to see how this turns out and if they ever do get that ending they so deserve, and what it looks like, RUN, one-click and devour this read for yourself over a great glass of wine… I guarantee you will be glad that you did! Thanks for the wonderful read Ms. Miller! Can’t wait to see what will come next!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An Appointment was a great 5 star read and book four in the Summer in New York series.
This can be read as a stand alone.

I was pulled in right from the beginning. My heart went out to Savannah as she was struggling to find out what was going on with her son and of course I was tearing up when the truth came out. The truth put her between a rock and a hard place on what her next step would be. Her ex-husbands family is very influential and could cause problems for her.

Preston is a Dr. that took over for his father, he wasn’t who Savannah expected but she didn’t have a choice, she needed someone to see her son. He was great, you could tell he cared right from the beginning. He connected so well with both Savannah and her son, who I loved.

Both of them have sworn off relationships but there is something drawing them together, you could feel the chemistry coming off the pages. Can these two put their walls down and let each other in? Can they have a HEA?

Overall I really loved this story. All of the characters were great. This really touched my heart in several ways. Lindsay Marie Miller does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. You won’t want to stop until your done. I highly recommend this book and series. 1-click and get started today.

An Appointment written by Lindsay Marie Miller is book 4 in the Summer in New York Series. This story mad me sad, if you’ve ever second guessed yourself, your past relationships or had that one person in your life who put you down instead of helping build yourself up then you can relate to this story. Savannah is trying to be strong for herself and her son Trey but she is stubborn and feels like it’s something she needs to do alone. But once she realizes it’s okay to ask for and receive help her life starts looking up. And her biggest hurdle of all, moving on.

Four Stars

Ugh! Can I get a puke bag please. Lindsay Miller if Savannah doesn’t want Preston I will take him. The man is perfect in the most imperfect ways. Lord if you’re listening send me a big man like Preston lol. I really couldn’t decide if I wanted to fight Savannah or cry for her. Divorce is really hard and it takes something away from you that you never truly get back. I haven’t found it but I haven’t given up either. She just refused to try and wasn’t being fair to Preston. I don’t understand why people feel like children need two parents to be happy. Is it amazing when both parents are there and helping raise the child? Yes! But it’s also proven that a child can be just as happy with only one parent. I almost dropped my phone a few times when Savannah question herself about Trey’s father. If this was me Kevin would be swimming with the sharks. I really did enjoy the story though. It mirrored my life a lot. I truly related to some of the situations. I couldn’t get enough of Preston and Trey. They made the book perfect.

An Appointment (Summer in New York Book 4) by Lindsay Marie Miller is a contemporary romance. The opening chapters of this story start off in such a way that draw your attention and pique curiosity. Two characters who may not believe in happily ever after noting past events that have shaped their present. Events have Savannah and Preston crossing paths in multiple ways, as if fate is throwing up a flag to get their attention. Lindsay Marie Miller has captivated me with this story, from the past to the present, to where this story could possibly go. These characters were more that one-dimensional with strong family ties that have influenced their expectations from life. A great story from an author that can deliver time and time again.

5 out of 5 stars

Anytime that I have a chance to read something by Lindsay Marie Miller, I jump at it, Her writing style, charaters, and stories are alwas so well thought out. Highly structured and incredibly detailed. That being said, An Appointment is no different. I try not to hold some of my favorite authors on a pedestal because even (in my opinon) the greats can fall, or have an off book, but Lindsay Marie Miller has yet to have one.

Savannah and Preston are two characters whose fire you can feel from the pages. Savannah is quick-witted, independently motivated, and hard headed. She is recovering from heartache and divorce when Preston stolls into her life and boy, does he ever stoll.

Preston is a tall glass of water. LIke Savannah, he has sworn off new relationships, but he soon realizes that is a very loney road. When he meets Savannah, he feels a kinship in his soul that he simply cannot ignore.

This Contempary Romance will set fire to your kindle and light your heart with passion and pull at those tender heart stings. a 5 star read all around and a high recommendation from me!

Characters are well written as well as the storyline, it’s also paced nicely never feeling rushed or slow. By: Lindsay Marie Miller
5 out of 5 stars

The story An Appointment (Summer in New York Book 4) by Lindsay Marie Miller is a New Adult/Contemporary romance book. It is a story that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let go until I had finished the final page. It had my emotions going up and down the entire time that I was reading. The romance is off the charts. I loved reading about the characters of Savannah and Preston. Savannah is a woman who has had her heart broken. She is stubborn and wants to be able to stand on her own two feet. After her divorce, she doesn’t want another relationship. Then she meets Preston. Preston is a man that is kind, caring, and very handsome. He too has sworn off relationships however at times realizes how lonely his life has become. Then he meets Savannah. These two have an attraction to each other. There is a connection between them. Will their past get in the way of them taking a chance with each other? Feelings and emotions are felt by both. What does the future hold for them? Will they find happiness and love with each other? Read this book to find out. Savannah and Preston are well-developed characters that I grew to care about with each chapter that I read. I couldn’t help but want them to find happiness. I also enjoyed reading about the secondary characters that are introduced. Many of them are supportive of Preston and Savannah. There are some moments in this story that will have the temperature in the room rising. This is a book that has times when there is anger or sadness and other times that warm your heart. I highly recommend reading it.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An Appointment (Summer in New York Book 4) by Lindsay Marie Miller is about two people who are so broken and hurt by their past, that they have sworn off ever finding love again. I really enjoyed the story but I wanted to smack the main characters, for people so smart, they were sometimes so immature. When neither of them were looking, they found love and it is a soul mate love but can they actually get their act together and just be together? Emotions run really high in this story and at times it will tug on those heart strings.

Savannah is sweet and beautiful but she can’t see it after being so worn down by her jerk of an ex-husband. The one thing that has kept her sane is her son. However when she meets a handsome Dr her life changes forever.

Preston has sworn off woman for life but when a certain beauty walks into his office he can’t get her out of his mind. This one hot and sexy Dr longs to be a father but finding the one woman who will accept him for who he his and his faults has left him feeling vulnerable.

An Appointment (Summer in New York #4) by Lindsay Marie Miller
5 out of 5 stars

An Appointment is the fourth book in the Summer in New York series written by Lindsay Marie Miller and I have read all four book in this series and they just get better with each book. The characters are amazing. The plot of two broken people with horrible exe’s and how they find each other and heal each other; and the description of the Hamptons and the pier in NY was great.

Savannah’s life hasn’t turned out the way she planned. Her marriage has failed and she is left alone to raise her son. Her ex-husband moved on as soon as the divorce was final. She thinks all she needs to keep her happy is her son Tre but you could tell she wasn’t happy.
One day she takes Tre to the doctor’s and when the doctor walks in, he isn’t the 70 year old doctor but his son Preston or as Tre calls him Dr. Cole. He may be a hot sexy doctor who loves kids and is single but she’s not taking a chance with her heart again.
Preston hasn’t had the best years of his life either. His wife left him for a plastic surgeon after he couldn’t give her what she wanted. On top of all that thanks to her hefty spending, now he has a quarter million dollars of debt. So much for true love.
So when Savannah walks into his office with her son, holy hell, he wants to get to know her.  He doesn’t care that she is feisty and stubborn, he likes a good challenge.
Will Preston wear Savannah down? Can they overcome the betrayal of their exes to move forward? You will have to read this story to find out.
I highly recommend this book/series…

Ok, this is my favorite of the series by far!! I really love this book and enjoyed the story, from beginning to end!! If you’re a sucker for …a sweet and heartwarming romance story, this one’s for you!! But don’t worry, this book can be read as a stand-alone. But you’ll want to read the previous books too, trust me on that !!
Bailey and Carter are more alike than they even realize. They both seem to think they aren’t good enough for one another. And they each have deep and damaging scars from their past. But together, they are a force to be reckoned with!!
Now, I can identify with each Bailey and Carter’s characters. But I did feel a more of a connection with Bailey. She is the strong and quiet type, like myself. We don’t realize how strong we truly are!! I love her!! And Carter… he is persistent and doesn’t give up on what he wants.. ever !! No matter how hard things get, he doesn’t give up!!
I hope to hear from this amazing couple again!! Another wonderful job, Lindsay! I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next !!

An Agreement (Summer in New York Book 3) by Lindsay Marie Miller is a sweet contemporary romance story. Lindsay has done a fantastic job and I fell in love with the characters from the very first page of the first book. The story is told from a duel POV which gives the story much more depth and perspective in to who the characters are. It is a heartwarming and beautiful story that is also sad and compelling. There is so much pain and suffering, secrets and loss that will keep you glued to each and every page. The raw emotions in this captivating story broke my heart at times and I could not stop the tears.   Bailey just wants to be loved, to find that one person she is supposed to be with the rest of your life but building her business never left much room for men. So desperate times call for desperate measures and what she finds is much more than she bargained for.

Carter has been living with his own demons but when a beautiful mix up comes into his life he doesn’t know what he should do.

I am looking forward to what comes next.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An Agreement by Lindsay Marie Miller this is the third book in this great series, this book offers the romance that we have come to love from Lindsay Marie Miller. The characters have such chemistry and the flow of the story was just great.

Bailey is a old romantic at heart and is looking for the right man to come along and sweep her off her feet, but she has been working hard to get her fashion boutique up and running so she has little romance in her life especially meeting eligible suitors. So as she is with her brother he convinces her the best way she will meet someone is to go online.

So as she goes on the first date it ends up with her having a misunderstanding and turning into a interesting date in the end. Carter is not looking for love but when he has a interaction with Bailey he can’t get her out of his head. So as the story goes you get to see the romance blossom between these two great characters.

Although this book can be read as a stand alone there is some cross over with the other two books in this great series but hey they are brilliant so I recommend you read them anyway. The book is fast paced and is well written and is a great third instalment in this series.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An Agreement by Lindsay Marie Miller is the third book in her Summers in New York series, and it just keeps getting better and better. Following the story of Bailey Lewis, who is Benjamin and Clarie’s daughter who you get to meet in book one. A romantic at heart, Bailey dreams of being swept off her feet by her prince charming, but her problem comes from meeting the right man. Add to that, Bailey has been spending all of her time building up her brand and proving herself in the fashion industry, but now she wants more. When her brothers talk her into online dating she goes reluctantly, and then ends up at the wrong table with a guy that is the best kind of wrong. When things start to heat up between Bailey and Carter, she has to wonder if fate had a hand to play in her getting the wrong guy at the right time? Miller is an old favorite of mine, having read several of her books in the past, as well as the first two books in this series, I couldn’t wait to read this one. I highly recommend this book to be read after books one and two, just to get the full effect of the series. This book was just great to read, and I couldn’t get into it fast enough. If you are looking for a great author Miller is one that you need to add to your collection and get this series pronto!

An Agreement (Summer in New York Book 3) by Lindsay Marie Miller – Review by Heather Bahm

An Agreement (Summer in New York, #3)An Agreement by Lindsay Marie Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An Agreement, by Lindsay Marie Miller, is the third book in the Summer in New York series. This contemporary romance story was a reading pleasure. I easily feel into the story within the first chapter. Something about Bailey just immediately drew me in. The opening scenes were fun, entertaining and just what you expect from a talented author. I really liked how the author played with the friendly banter, attraction, emotional hills/valleys that you would encounter with a friends/lovers theme. Both Bailey and Carter have insecurities within their lives that deter them from certain choices; the author handled these within the story with style allowing it to flow seamlessly within the story rather than feeling misplaced.

An Agreement (Summer in New York Book 3) by Lindsay Marie Miller
4 stars

This is the 3rd book in this series and while it could be read as a standalone, its best to read the first 2 to get backstory and all the context going on.
I really enjoyed this story and seeing the relationship grow between Bailey and Carter. I was able to connect to the characters on some levels and that made this story easy to read and not put down.
I cant wait to read more from this author.

5 out of 5 stars
An Agreement is the third book in the Summer in New York series written by Ms. Miller and she did not disappoint. This author is an amazing writer with her unique storytelling. The characters are amazing and the plot two broken find each other and heal each other. The description of New York and Louisiana were incredible.
Can friends turn into lovers? When someone friend zones you can you become more? You will have to read this amazing story.
Bailey is still single at twenty five. Not the future she had in mind. If only she understood men. How they think. What they want. So far, online dating is a bust. Until her new friend Carter agrees to help me. He’s rugged and sexy in a brooding kind of way. Too be bad he’s got her in the friend zone. Because the only man she want’s is him.
From the moment they met, Carter can’t stop thinking about her. She’s everything any man would dream of having. But she’ll never be his. He is broken and lost. He’s not good enough for her. No man is. That’s why he is breaking the guy code and spilling all of our secrets. So she won’t be subject to the manipulative ways of men. Because Bailey deserves her knight in shining armor. Even if he’s not himself.
Why isn’t Carter good enough for Bailey? Can they fight their demons together or will is destroy them? Will they have a happily ever after?
I highly recommend this book/series…

An Agreement (Summer in New York, #3)An Agreement by Lindsay Marie Miller
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An Agreement (Summer in New York Book 3) By Lindsay Marie Miller. I continuously am finding myself up well into the late hours when I start a book by this author because I simply can’t but it down. This book was no different and just couldn’t stop Carter and Bailey’s story. These two have a story that needs to be read, they chemistry they share come of the pages in waves. Each of them with pasts that haunt them and finding their way to looking more towards the future than the past. These books can definitely be read as a standalone without any confusion but trust me you will want to read them all. The author writes a story filled with emotions you feel deeply. It’s well written and paced nicely. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to anyone.
