Holding Out for You by Anna Paige – Review by Melissa Agena

Holding Out for YouHolding Out for You by Anna Paige
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So incredibly good! Holding Out For You is a novel written by Anna Paige. It’s a big brother’s best friend romance and one that I have fallen in love with. It is a definite rollercoaster of emotion that is mixed with a whole of serious and a whole lot of sweet. Blair has been in love with her big brother’s best friend Ashton for a long time. Longer than she would like to admit. Ashton is in the same boat. Neither one wants to admit it to each other or anyone else. Coincidentally, Blair’s best friend Charli is also in love with Blair’s big brother Becker. But everyone knows that. What everyone doesn’t know is if Becker returns that love or not. Everything comes out to the open when Blair is set up on a blind date to Becker’s party and Blair is attacked. That’s when Ashton decides he needs to step up. This book is very intense. Intense in the sense that it’s emotional and also in the sense that it is quite steamy. There are numerous scenes where Blair and Ashton get hot and heavy. This is book also talks about sensitive subjects. However, this book is a book that I would recommend to anyone! I was quite surprised with this one and cannot wait to read the next one!

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set ( Books 4-6)Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This set is amazing! Romance in Rehoboth Box Set Books 4-6: A Small Town Romantic Comedy Series is by K.L. Montgomery. This series has 3 fabulous books starting with Badge Bunny. Chris Everson is a State Trooper with a secret. Brynne Miller is an ER Doctor who has a nickname of “Badge Bunny” because all she dates are cops. But Chris is one cop that she doesn’t want to date. Well of course, that backfires on her. But, what was this secret that Chris was holding back? The second book is Wedding War. In this case, two families are at war with each other. One family dresses the groom’s side and the other family dresses the bride side. Jason and Hannah are the modern day Romeo and Juliet. Book 3 is called Stage Mom. Larissa Emerson is a Stage Mom. Mateo Flores runs the Little Miss Rehoboth pageant. Larissa’s daughter is special needs but wants her daughter to be treated normal. What becomes abnormal is the attraction between Larissa and Mateo. This set is a phenomenal read that will make you laugh and cry and definitely make you sizzle. There are no other words for this set. Guaranteed you will not be disappointed, I wasn’t! If you loved the first set, the second set is even better!

Why (Stalker Series Book 2) by Megan Mitcham – Review by Melissa Agena

Why (Stalker Series, #2)Why by Megan Mitcham
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The second book in the Stalker Series by Megan Mitcham, Why has played out to be the best so far! I truly loved it. It was quite suspenseful and enthralling. Genevieve Holst is one the cities best women attorneys. This time she is defending her good friend and boss Perry, which she is still figuring out how she is able to. He is charged with murdering his wife and family. She ends up works together with Detective Owen Graham who basically sets her world on fire! She doesn’t know what to do with him! But after the trial is when things start to get a little bit scary and a little bit creepy. Perry, her boss, starts to become a different person and starts to show a different side of him that Gen has never seen. This is definitely a psyche thriller that has you on the edge of your seat and a romance novel that has you fanning yourself. This is a serious rollercoaster of emotions that you never know what is coming next but you know for sure that whatever is coming is going to be good because this book doesn’t disappoint. Just like normal, I would definitely read the first novel so you can understand where the main character is coming from. Kudos Ms. Mitcham for a spectacular second book!

BECKONED, PART 6 – ADRIFT IN NEW ZEALAND BY AVIVA VAUGHN – REVIEW BY MELISSA AGENA

BECKONED, Part 6: Adrift in New ZealandBECKONED, Part 6: Adrift in New Zealand by Aviva Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A wonderful way to end a great series. If you are looking to join in on the series now, I would definitely suggest you start from the beginning and invest your time to learn about Soren. There are reasons why Soren is at this place and time and has made the decisions he has made to be here. Quite frankly, I am so happy for him and his character living his life to the fullest and fulfilling his dreams. Once again, Soren is faced with tough decisions with his life concerning his business and his romantic life. In this book, his work takes him to New Zealand where he is confronted with women from his past and the current challenges he faces with Elena seeing as though she has decided to compete again. Going through the series you can’t help but fall in love with Soren and only hope the best for him. Not to mention Aviva’s gift for giving you the most gorgeous and vivid descriptions that transport you to where the characters are. I love this series and am very sad that it is all over. However, I cannot wait for another series to emerge from this author.

PROBLEMATIC LOVE (ROGUE SERIES BOOK 8) BY LARA WARD COSIO – REVIEW BY MELISSA AGENA

Problematic Love (Rogue Series Book 8)Problematic Love by Lara Ward Cosio
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you haven’t read this series you need to start from the beginning. The reason I say this is because not only is this series really really great, but it is intense and in depth. You cannot miss anything. Especially these two characters, Danny Boy and Amelia. Danny Boy is Shay’s brother and is the bad boy that Shay continues to try and keep out of trouble due to his drug addiction. Amelia is Danny Boy’s therapist. So the conflict goes without saying…How do these two match up? How is Amelia able to be everything that Danny Boy needs, the girlfriend and the therapist? Danny is also struggling to be worthy enough for Amelia. He is so wrapped up in his own self-worth that he may mess things up. However, let’s not forget how when these two get together how they connect and know how to steam things up. This story is definitely intense and so good. You get sucked in and trapped just like you do with the rest of the series. Needless to say I loved it! I wouldn’t change anything about it at all!

Bonded (A Twisted Hearts Love Story book 3) by Autumn Sand – Review by Melissa Agena

Bonded (A Twisted Hearts Love Story book 3)Bonded by Autumn Sand
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Third time is a charm for sure! I loved this book and I am in utter love with this series! This series continues with the quietest member of the bunch with Magnum. To me Magnum was also the most mysterious. There wasn’t much background chatter on him in the last two books, so it was nice to finally get to read his story. Magnum’s story is so incredibly heartbreaking. Then we start to read about Brenda. Brenda if you remember is the nurse that helped Cyma with her daughter. Her story was equally interesting. Now someone is gunning for Brenda and Magnum is making it his mission to keep her safe. But while he is doing that, Magnum and Brenda start succumbing to this chemistry that keeps pulling them closer and closer together, which in turn helps help them from their past. This story has a lot of twists and turns and a lot of the unexpected. What I didn’t expect were the tears that I did cry for Magnum’s character. It kind of hit home in a lot of ways and I felt so bad for him. This story was also so incredibly steamy as well!!! But all in all, this was a seriously great book. I read it in one sitting and loved every minute. I could not put it down. I cannot wait for the next one!

Until Fools Find GoldUntil Fools Find Gold by Mary B. Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Get ready to laugh til you cry and pee your pants! This book is not only hysterically funny, it is sad and a little bit dark too. But it is very sexy as well. Until Fools Find Gold: Happily Ever Alpha World is Book 1 in the Providence Gold Series by Mary B. Moore. I haven’t read any books by this author and after reading this book, I am now hooked! This book was definitely a page turner! I couldn’t put it down. In this story we follow Luna, she running from her father who abducted her from Vegas and wants to sell her to pay his debts. We also follow Noah, who is Luna’s best-friend’s brother. Apparently, they have been in love with each other for quite some time. His brother aka Luna’s best friend has repeatedly told him to stay away from him but since Luna returned back, he is definitely not listening. But since Luna went missing Noah is making it his life’s mission to get her back. This was a great story and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

HAWKE (MEN OF SYN BOOK 1) – REVIEW BY MELISSA AGENA

Hawke (Men of Syn, #1)Hawke by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a refreshing book! I haven’t read a story like this in a long time and I very much welcomed it. Hawke is the first book in the Men of Syn series by Anise Storm. Syn is a new BDSM club that has opened up and Nathaniel “Hawke” Hawkins is the owner. Charlotte is the party planner that is going to be throwing the Masquerade party for the Grand Opening. The moment she meets Hawke she is very drawn to him in the sense that there is something very familiar about him. Until she realizes what why that is, which is a complete shock to her and mostly to him! This book is mostly about both of them trying to stay away from each other but there is a pull that they can’t seem to fight. Hawke has a past that stops him at every turn. There is so much depth in this book but so much sexiness too. I truly loved the authors writing style and I truly can’t wait for the next book to come out!

MAYHEM (A TWISTED HEARTS LOVE STORY – BOOK 2) BY AUTUMN SAND – REVIEW BY MELISSA AGENA

Mayhem (A Twisted Hearts Love Story, #2)Mayhem by Autumn Sand
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Even better the second time around! Mayhem is the second book in the Twisted Hearts Love Story Series by Autumn Sand. Although we are not following Tony and Anaya in this book, they do have cameos. In this book we follow Tick and Cyma. Tick is Tony’s right hand man, former Marine and of course a serious ladies man. Cyma is a mom of a very young daughter who is just trying to get by through any means that she can. Tick’s background is the reason he is a player, but the moment he meets Cyma, that all ends. However, for Cyma she feels the pull toward him but her background keeps telling her to stay away. Tick had other plans. This book is so well written that it’s almost like you aren’t reading but you are a part of the story. I love the characters and the twists and turns that are incorporated within. This truly is a great book and a great series. I can’t wait for the next book!

Hate to Love You (Baker’s Bunch Book 1) by Lily Ryan – Review by MELISSA AGENA

Hate to Love You (Baker's Bunch Book 1)Hate to Love You by Lily Ryan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was full of emotions constantly pulling you one way to the other, but it also kept you on your seat. Hate to Love You is Book 1 in the Bakers Bunch Series written by Lily Ryan. Samantha has been in love with her brother’s best friend Cole since she can remember. Cole, has the same feelings but hasn’t acted upon them because of his best-friend aka Sam’s big brother. Sam’s brother has always told Cole to stay away from her so, Cole has never done anything…until now. Sam’s on her way to college and her brother has landed himself in rehab. There are so many ups and downs and twists and turns to this story is unbelievable. This story is not only a great love story but it is a great coming of age love story. This is also a definite Happily Ever After story. I would definitely recommend this story to anyone! Can’t wait for the next story to come out.

BEDLAM (A TWISTED HEARTS LOVE STORY BOOK 1) BY AUTUMN SAND – A REVIEW BY MELISSA AGENA

Bedlam (A Twisted Hearts Love Story, #1)Bedlam by Autumn Sand
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was one of the best stories I have read in such a long time! Bedlam is the first book in the Twisted Hearts Love Story Series by Autumn Sand. This story follows Anaya and the sudden landing of an exclusive job of redesigning the interior at the elusive club Pulse. She has no idea how she’s contracted it, except for the fact that the owner has asked for her specifically and only her. Then when she shows up to the meeting and meets the owner, she can’t seem to take her eyes off of him. Small problem though…Anaya has a boyfriend, Iggy. Iggy is the head of the mob. However, the owner of the club has eyes for her too and can’t seem to stay away from her either. There are so many twists and turns it’s not even funny. I’m warning you now though, there are some pretty rough and graphic scenes in terms of rape. But there is a happy ever after to this story! This book is definitely a page-turner. I loved every minute of it! You will not be disappointed! I cannot wait for the next book in the series, especially if it is as good as this one!

A PERSON COULD DISAPPEAR HERE BY TERRI GEORGE – REVIEW BY MELISSA AGENA

A Person Could Disappear HereA Person Could Disappear Here by Terri George
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

HOLY COW! I was intrigued from the beginning but did not expect it to be so freaking good! A Person Could Disappear Here is a novel written by Terri George. This book is full of suspense and mystery. I loved every minute of it! Abbey is from London and has met a man on Facebook whom she is going to fly to Denver to meet. His name is Jensen. We don’t know much about Jensen except that he is handsome and is super perfect for Abbey. Everything goes well until they go into Nebraska to meet up with Jensen’s grandfather who is getting out of the hospital supposedly. That’s when everything goes wrong. That’s when Cristina, Abbey’s bestfriend steps in and starts her own search party to find her since she did not come back to London. However, that’s when EVERYTHING starts to become twisted and crazy! Like I said before, I did not expect things to turn out the way that they did. I seriously couldn’t put this book down and I in fact wanted to read more. But I was glad the end turned out the way that it did. I can’t wait to read more from this author if they are going to be just like this one!

TAMING THE TROUBLEMAKER (THE HILLS OF TEXAS BOOK 3) BY KADIE SCOTT- REVIEW BY MELISSA AGENA

Taming the Troublemaker (Hills of Texas, #3)Taming the Troublemaker by Kadie Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OMG! I absolutely loved this book! Taming the Troublemaker is the third book in The Hills of Texas series by Kadie Scott. Kadie is an awesome writer and if you haven’t read any of her books then you should start with this series. Now, you can read this book without reading the first two books but like I always say…you should always start with the first book. So if you are going read a standalone this is the book to do it with because this book is so stinking good! Autry is the 4th Hill sibling and he loves every bit of his Ranch. However, he is also known to be a bit of a playboy and has yet to settle down. He doesn’t have any prospects of settling down either. Beth Cooper is a teacher and has had the biggest crush on Autry since she can remember. Now, Autry’s father and mother are ready to retire but they are bit worried about Autry. So they decide that if Autry can keep it in his pants for 6 months then he can have the house and the ranch. But here comes Beth and a bunch of twists and turns that make that nearly impossible! LOL. Like I said. I love this book! You will not be able to put this book down. I is definitely a page turner and one you will definitely enjoy!

THE PROTECTOR: MAC (COVER SIX SECURITY BOOK 1) BY LISA B. KAMPS – REVIEW BY MELISSA AGENA

The Protector: MAC (Cover Six Security, #1)The Protector: MAC by Lisa B. Kamps
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Intrigue, Mystery, Hot and Page Turning! That was just the first three chapters! The Protector: Mac is the first book in the Cover Six Security Series by Lisa B. Kamps. The cover of this book was definitely eye catching then I read the synopsis, which drew me in. Once I started reading the first chapter it was all over for me! Alpha male at its finest! Gordon or Mac is a retired Army Ranger turned security for Cover Six. Tabitha or TR is a reporter/journalist that is on a story right now that apparently has people coming after her. The only person that can keep her safe and sound is Mac. Mac is willing to put everything on the line to keep TR safe and that includes his heart. Anytime these two are together, there are sparks that everyone can see but Mac tries to ignore. This book is action packed and is filled with constant mystery. Not to mention filled with a large amount of sizzling hot tension! I loved every second of it and I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out.

CAPTIVATED BY THE MILLIONAIRE BY NINA SINGH – REVIEW BY MELISSA AGENA

Captivated By The Millionaire (Mills & Boon True Love)Captivated By The Millionaire by Nina Singh
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is not your typical Harlequin novel. At least it wasn’t what I was expecting. Captivated by the Millionaire is written by Nina Singh. I was very surprised by this book and I loved every second of it. Jessalyn “Jess” has lived on Martha’s Vineyard for the last few years and has been very comfortable there being a part time art teacher. Jordan just moved the island with his sister, Sonya, whom he has just taken custody of because their father had recently passed. From the moment that these two have met there has been a spark but they each thought each other were enigmas. Not understanding each other since they both come from different circles and lives. Jess is a little bit bohemian and kind of goes with the flow. Jess also doesn’t come from money. Jordan comes from the city and comes from structure and has quite a bit of money. So on paper these two should not match one iota. Like I said, this book was great and it truly surprised me. I enjoyed this author and cannot wait to read more from her!

The Slip Series Collection by Gwyn McNamee – Review by Melissa Agena

The Slip Series CollectionThe Slip Series Collection by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Comedy and Romance at its finest! The Slip Series Collection is written by Gwyn McNamee and let me tell you it’s fantastic! You can read all of these individually but I would read them in order because the main characters come from the previous books. Now, let’s start with the first one. Dick Slip. Yes, that’s the name of the first book and yes, that’s exactly what happens in this book. Rafe is a TV personality for a children’s show about bones and fossils. Andy is the new CEO of the network. During a televised charity basketball game Rafe had a “wardrobe malfunction.” However, when these two meet…sparks fly and hooking up was inevitable even though they fought it for a while seeing as though it was against company policy. Book 2 is Nip Slip. Yes, once again that’s the name and that’s exactly what happens. LOL! Apparently, wardrobe malfunctions runs in the family and this time it’s Rafe’s twin sister Riley. Riley is a fashion model who has been given her biggest chance of her career and right at the peak of it…oops! Tate is the editor of Haute magazine. He is also a former model and was front and center for Riley’s perfect moment. However, the designer that Riley was modeling for wasn’t very understanding. Tate saw that and wants to expose him and wants Riley to help with that. Not to mention he wants Riley too! Now, the third book in this collection is Beaver Blunder. Yep! You guessed it! It is totally what you are thinking! Miss Madeline is Riley’s best friend and on her way to court one day she slipped and fell and whoops there goes her skirt! Who’s there to save her? Tate’s best friend and lawyer, Owen. Madeline is a pistol all by herself and Owen is so intrigued by it! Can Owen beat a badass litigator? This series is full of laughter, steamy hot sex and tons of romance! I give it two thumbs up and would recommend it to EVERYONE!

It is a part of a series but can be read as a standalone. I have not read the first 3 but after reading this book I’m more than definitely going back to read them! Bijou had lost her husband 8 years ago and runs a youth center in her small town in Georgia. Noah lost his wife to a tragic accident a year ago and moved to the same town as Bijou. However, Noah is also a World Heavy Weight Champion Boxer and so was his wife. Both Bijou and Noah know what its like to lose someone that they truly loved. They both have children, which become their common ground and with the help of Bijou’s crazy best friend these two unite and learn what it’s like to love again. Little Do You Know (Bayou Devils MC 5)Little Do You Know by A.M. Myers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This series just keeps getting better and better! Little Do You Know is Book 5 in the Bayou Devils MC series by A.M. Myers. Noah “Hennesey” LeBlanc has been in love with Kady Sinclair since they were 11 years old. They had been planning on getting married and starting a family when Noah got sent to prison for 6 years. When Noah gets out, his only mission is to find Kady because she seems to be missing and continue where they left off 6 years prior. One problem though…Kady is nowhere to be found. However, leave it up to the MC to find her! When he finds her, Kady doesn’t want anything to do with him. There is a reason why she doesn’t want him but you will have to read this book to find out! LOL. The chemistry between the two of them is sizzling and way off the charts. They love to fight with each other, which is funny and super sexy at the same time! The sexy scenes are downright hot! But this book is an emotional rollercoaster, so break out the tissues and have them waiting for you! You can read this book as a standalone, however, like all series I suggest reading from book one. I absolutely adore this series and I cannot wait for the next one! This is a definite plus in my book and would not hesitate to recommend this series to anyone who likes books on Motorcycle Clubs or even just a good series!

Feathers - A NovelFeathers – A Novel by Kylie Stewart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What an absolute fairy tale! I adored this book! Feathers is written by Kylie Stewart and is a standalone, although I would love to hear the other girl’s stories (Hint Hint). Feathers follows a young Charlotte “Lottie” from the time that she was taken by her mother’s boyfriend and sold to ungodly men. There she goes through things that most people would never imagine to a young girl. Then she is sold one more time, to Mrs. Ames. Mrs. Ames was her savior. There she meets Mrs. Ames’ grandson, Hawk McLean. Hawk is 7 years older than Lottie. But for some strange reason, he is drawn to her. In the same token, Lottie is also drawn to him. Throughout the years, Lottie learns to heal and learns to take her life back. Hawk has his own past that he has to deal with and his uncertainty about Lottie. These two get incredibly close throughout the years even though Hawk leaves for his internship and then moves to open a business. But when Lottie is 22 everything falls into place for the both of them and let me tell you, fireworks happen! I love this author and every book that I have read from her is fantastic. This book in particular gives you those wonderful good feelings because these two deserve everything that they received and it would be heartbreaking if it was any different. The characters are wonderful and Lottie is such a strong girl, it kind of makes you proud. I can’t wait to read more from Kylie Stewart!

So she starts planning to disappear so that she can no longer hurt the ones that she loves any longer. Like I said before, this book is complex and has so many facets to go along with it. It’s a book that you need to pay attention, otherwise you will miss something. Good news is that the writing envelops you and you can’t seem to pull yourself out because you keep wanting more and more. I can’t wait for the next in the series!

Movie Star: 21st Century Courtesan – book 2 by Pamela DuMond – Review by Melissa Agena

Movie Star (21st Century Courtesan, #2)Movie Star by Pamela DuMond
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can’t say enough about this series! It’s so captivating and so brilliant! Move Star is Book 2 in the 21st Century Courtesan series by Pamela DuMond. Evelyn “Evie” is an escort that makes six figures, not because she beds every man but because she has a special gift. Evie is Empathetic. She can feel other people’s emotions and she has been able to get to the root of men’s problems. In this book, she is on to a new client. This new client is none other than super famous movie star Jake Keller. Jake hasn’t been the same for some reason and it’s her job to figure it out and “fix” him. However, there is still someone in the shadows that continues to send her “fan” mail. There is no clue as to who this person is but that person definitely knows who she is. Not only that there is still the person that she loves the most, but they are both so busy and he won’t buckle down and ask for her hand in marriage. Wait, let’s not forget one of the men that she keeps coming across that hates her to pieces. This book is so complex and yet so intriguing at the same time. I can’t help but read these books in the matter of hours rather than days and not being able to breathe until the last page is read. I adore this series and cannot wait to read the next one. I NEED to know what happens!

EIGHT STEPS: A FRIENDS TO LOVERS ROMANCE BY TAYLOR SULLIVAN – REVIEW BY MELISSA AGENA

Eight Steps to Alpha (Nerdy by Nature, #1)Eight Steps to Alpha by Taylor Sullivan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A romantic comedy for the win! Eight Steps to Alpha is A Friends to Lovers Romance by Taylor Sullivan. This book was so cute I couldn’t put it down! Fe (the element for iron) is a science teacher’s assistant. Elliot is her roommate of 4 years and best friend of 5 years. There has never been any romantic chemistry between them. That is…until now. Elliot is enamored by a co-worker, Mary and want to get her to notice him. Fe devises a plan so that in 8 simple steps, Mary will be putty at his feet. What Fe didn’t plan is that during this process, Elliot and she would become closer than they ever have. With the push of their family and friends, things shift for these two and what ends up happening is magical. I will be a bit of spoiler and say that this is a happy ever after book. But, it’s the journey that makes this book so great! I loved this story and the way that this author writes is really awesome. The words flowed like they should, which caused me not to be able to put the book down. There were so many funny parts, frustrating parts and a few sexy scenes that were smoking hot. I loved the banter between the two main characters and then the interaction of the secondary characters made me fall in love with the book even more. This is a definite recommendation and I cannot wait to read more books from this author!

NOTHING BUT TROUBLE (IRRESISTIBLE BILLIONAIRES, BOOK 1) BY ASHLEY BOSTOCK – REVIEW BY MELISSA AGENA

Nothing But Trouble (Irresistible Billionaires #1)Nothing But Trouble by Ashley Bostock
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Such a cute book! Nothing But Trouble is the first book in the Irresistible Billionaires Series by Ashley Bostock. I love this author! She knows how to pull you in and keep you there until the book is done! This book follows Michael Vilander. He is the owner and creator of Together.com, which is a dating app. He is known to never have more than two dates and quite a bit of money. He doesn’t do the permanent dating thing ever since his gold-digger of an ex-fiance left him hanging at the altar. However, he needs a date to a fundraising event. So what does he do? He creates a fake profile on his own app in order to find a date. Who does he find? A beautiful woman who loves to bake, do yoga and paint. Sophia Baldwin spends most of her time taking care of her elderly grandmother. But she has a secret. She also doesn’t know who she really is going on a date with until the date itself. During that time to get back at Michael’s ex, Sophia decides to tell her that she and Michael are getting married. So they plan to act like they are getting married for one month. That doesn’t go quite as planned. This book definitely ends in a Happily Ever After. I love this book and I can’t wait to read who the next Billionaire will be! I would definitely recommend this book to someone into sweet billionaires!

CRIME LORD’S CAPTIVE (CRIME LORDS SERIES – BOOK 1) BY MIA KNIGHT – REVIEW BY MELISSA AGENA

Crime Lord's Captive (Crime Lord, #1)Crime Lord’s Captive by Mia Knight
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely LOVE this book! Crime Lord’s Captive is the first book in the Crime Lords Series by Mia Knight. Morgan was living a simple life working in a bank as a teller and had the sweetest boyfriend ever. No one knew that she was running from something. No one knew that her name was changed either. Her real name is Lyla Dalton. Everyone except the person that she was running from. That was until one day when she came home from work and found someone waiting to take her back to her home in Las Vegas. Gavin Pyre is the new Crime Lord of Las Vegas and the one that Lyla was running from. It’s been 3 years since she’s been home. She doesn’t want to be there but in order to save her father she goes back. However, Gavin has other ideas. He wants her back and will do anything to get her back. That is until Gavin decides to give up the title to his #1. All hell breaks loose and Gavin goes on a rampage and things between Lyla and Gavin go haywire as well. This story ends, unfortunately in a cliffhanger. But, there are some steamy scenes too! I really enjoyed this book to the point where I couldn’t put it down! I was completely sucked in. Now I really cannot wait for the next book in the series. I would suggest this book if you are into mafia type books!

Less You Know: A Gripping Psychological Suspense Thriller (Ashes to Ashes, #2) by Rowena Holloway – Review by Melissa Agena

Less You Know (Ashes to Ashes #2)Less You Know by Rowena Holloway
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

All I can say is, “WOW!” Less You Know is the second book in the Ashes to Ashes series by Roweena Holloway. Now I will also say that you really need to read the first book before reading this one. There is a lot of information that book that will give you a foundation for this book. Charlotte Ashe wants to expose Tyrone Garner. That is until Charlotte’s best friend Allie goes missing. Now there are all kinds of questions that arise. Charlotte is definitely on a mission to find her friend and uncover the real truths behind Tyrone Garner. Just like the first book, there are so many twists and turns that you will run into, which make this story riveting! I seriously could not put this book down! Charlotte’s character has really changed in the sense that she’s much more sure of herself and has serious guts! She has grown since her first appearance in the first book. I really love this series! This author is amazing at her descriptions and she definitely has a way of pulling you in and keeping you interested the whole way through. Truly captivating writing! There is also a cliffhanger that has you sitting on the edge of your seat wanting more and more! I cannot wait for the next book in the series! I hope it is just as good and the last two book have been.
