An Appointment (Summer in New York Book 4) by Lindsay Marie Miller – Review by Jana Teppih

An Appointment (Summer in New York, #4)An Appointment by Lindsay Marie Miller
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An Appointment is the fourth book in Lindsay Marie Miller’s Summer in New York series. I have read EVERY SINGLE one of them! The stories can be read as a standalone but it is great to read them in the order as they are connected through the characters! Our Savannah Taylor, the divorced mother of a young boy is the daughter of Austin and Amy from book #2 (and niece of Claire and Benjamin from book #1). Savannah is not doing too well, the divorce has left her hurt and she feels like life is serving a curveball after curveball and she is barely managing to hold on … enters Dr Preston Cole, a paediatrician who is taking over from his father and who is treating Savannah’s son Trey. He has his own turbulent past, his wife left him for a surgeon and while doing it, broke his heart and his bank account … Both of them have sworn not to love again, not to marry again … and their paths collide …
An Appointment is a contemporary romance filled with drama, angst, frustration, loads of misunderstandings, mystery, emotions … and second chances! At times all of the angst and drama became too much … I get that Savannah was drowning in stress but her jumping into conclusions … well … who knows … I suggest you pick up the whole series and spend hours and hours with characters that don’t leave you cold!

An Appointment is the fourth book in Summers in New York series by Lindsay Marie Miller. It is a contemporary romance, that has a lot of drama, tension, angst, push/pull, frustration, misunderstandings, mystery, a little suspense, emotion, and second chances.
Savannah Taylor is the daughter of Austin and Amy form book #2, and niece of Claire and Benjamin from Book #1. I just love all the interconnected details like this that Ms. Miller places in her stories. It gives them an added layer of interest. The book/s could be read a standalone, but as there are recurring characters and the interconnected details, I really recommend reading the series as a whole, as having read all the books will give you a better understanding of the characters/backstories- which in turn will enhance you reading experience- not to mention that the other books are really great reads in their own rights, too.
Savannah hasn’t had it easy of late, life keeps throwing her curve balls and she scrambling to keep up. Divorce has left her hurt and confused. She has vowed to never love again. The one good thing to come out of her marriage is her adorable 8 year-old son, Trey. He is her world, the light of her life. There isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for him. So, when his asthma flares up she whisks him off to the doctors.
Preston Cole is a Pediatrician working in the family practice. His has been a bit of an emotional wreck since his wife left him for a surgeon. She broke his heart as well as his bank account. He loves children and had dreamed of having a family of his won- but now his dreams lay in ashes… he would never marry again. But what happens when a feisty, protective mamma bear attracts him from the moment he lays eyes on her? Will she be able to overcome her fears and take a chance on love? What happens when insecurities bleed into their relationship? Will it drive them apart, for good? Grab yourself a copy and find out what happens. There a few surprising developments that I sure didn’t see coming!
This is a sweet, sexy, sizzling, and emotive story. I did feel for the characters and their situation. BUT, there were so many parts that frustrated me to death. I felt that there was way too much push/pull, angst, added drama, misunderstandings, and erratic behaviour- especially from Savannah. I understand she was under a lot of stress, but her push-pull, erratic behaviour, and jumping to conclusions was so frustrating and completely exhausting! It just dragged on for far too long for my liking. Preston deserved a gold medal for putting up with it and remaining caring and supportive the whole while.
Having said that, I am a fan of Ms. Miller’s work- I really do enjoy her imaginative and unique storylines, and I am looking forward to her next book.

Thank you, Ms. Miller!

An Appointment (Summer in New York Book 4) by Lindsay Marie Miller
5 out of 5 stars

Anytime that I have a chance to read something by Lindsay Marie Miller, I jump at it, Her writing style, charaters, and stories are alwas so well thought out. Highly structured and incredibly detailed. That being said, An Appointment is no different. I try not to hold some of my favorite authors on a pedestal because even (in my opinon) the greats can fall, or have an off book, but Lindsay Marie Miller has yet to have one.

Savannah and Preston are two characters whose fire you can feel from the pages. Savannah is quick-witted, independently motivated, and hard headed. She is recovering from heartache and divorce when Preston stolls into her life and boy, does he ever stoll.

Preston is a tall glass of water. LIke Savannah, he has sworn off new relationships, but he soon realizes that is a very loney road. When he meets Savannah, he feels a kinship in his soul that he simply cannot ignore.

This Contempary Romance will set fire to your kindle and light your heart with passion and pull at those tender heart stings. a 5 star read all around and a high recommendation from me!

An Appointment (Summer in New York Book 4) By Lindsay Marie Miller. This author keeps writing stories that draw me in and make me never want to leave the story world created. And this book definitely didn’t disappoint me one bit. Characters I love and connected with, characters that both have their own story to tell and when you put them together it’s a story you won’t soon forget. Characters are well written as well as the storyline, it’s also paced nicely never feeling rushed or slow. I won’t be forgetting these wonderful characters any time soon and can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it.

This is an emotional ride from cover to cover, I enjoyed it to the end. This is the fourth book in this series and my favorite yet! Savannah and Preston both have a past relationship that failed and left scars. From the second Savannah walks into Preston’s office, he was hooked. Their story is one of struggle, learning to trust and overcoming the past. Will they get a second chance at love? There are twists and turns in their story that left me turning pages. Highly recommend this book.

An Agreement (Summer in New York, #3)An Agreement by Lindsay Marie Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An Agreement by Lindsay Marie Miller this is the third book in this great series, this book offers the romance that we have come to love from Lindsay Marie Miller. The characters have such chemistry and the flow of the story was just great.

Bailey is a old romantic at heart and is looking for the right man to come along and sweep her off her feet, but she has been working hard to get her fashion boutique up and running so she has little romance in her life especially meeting eligible suitors. So as she is with her brother he convinces her the best way she will meet someone is to go online.

So as she goes on the first date it ends up with her having a misunderstanding and turning into a interesting date in the end. Carter is not looking for love but when he has a interaction with Bailey he can’t get her out of his head. So as the story goes you get to see the romance blossom between these two great characters.

Although this book can be read as a stand alone there is some cross over with the other two books in this great series but hey they are brilliant so I recommend you read them anyway. The book is fast paced and is well written and is a great third instalment in this series.

An Agreement (Summer in New York, #3)An Agreement by Lindsay Marie Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An Agreement by Lindsay Marie Miller is the third book in her Summers in New York series, and it just keeps getting better and better. Following the story of Bailey Lewis, who is Benjamin and Clarie’s daughter who you get to meet in book one. A romantic at heart, Bailey dreams of being swept off her feet by her prince charming, but her problem comes from meeting the right man. Add to that, Bailey has been spending all of her time building up her brand and proving herself in the fashion industry, but now she wants more. When her brothers talk her into online dating she goes reluctantly, and then ends up at the wrong table with a guy that is the best kind of wrong. When things start to heat up between Bailey and Carter, she has to wonder if fate had a hand to play in her getting the wrong guy at the right time? Miller is an old favorite of mine, having read several of her books in the past, as well as the first two books in this series, I couldn’t wait to read this one. I highly recommend this book to be read after books one and two, just to get the full effect of the series. This book was just great to read, and I couldn’t get into it fast enough. If you are looking for a great author Miller is one that you need to add to your collection and get this series pronto!

An Agreement, by Lindsay Marie Miller, is the third book in the Summer in New York series. This contemporary romance story was a reading pleasure. I easily feel into the story within the first chapter. Something about Bailey just immediately drew me in. The opening scenes were fun, entertaining and just what you expect from a talented author. I really liked how the author played with the friendly banter, attraction, emotional hills/valleys that you would encounter with a friends/lovers theme. Both Bailey and Carter have insecurities within their lives that deter them from certain choices; the author handled these within the story with style allowing it to flow seamlessly within the story rather than feeling misplaced.

This is the 3rd book in this series and while it could be read as a standalone, its best to read the first 2 to get backstory and all the context going on.
I really enjoyed this story and seeing the relationship grow between Bailey and Carter. I was able to connect to the characters on some levels and that made this story easy to read and not put down.
I cant wait to read more from this author.

An Agreement (Summer in New York Book 3) By Lindsay Marie Miller. I continuously am finding myself up well into the late hours when I start a book by this author because I simply can’t but it down. This book was no different and just couldn’t stop Carter and Bailey’s story. These two have a story that needs to be read, they chemistry they share come of the pages in waves. Each of them with pasts that haunt them and finding their way to looking more towards the future than the past. These books can definitely be read as a standalone without any confusion but trust me you will want to read them all. The author writes a story filled with emotions you feel deeply. It’s well written and paced nicely. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to anyone.

An Agreement is the third book in Summers in New York series by Lindsay Marie Miller. It is a sweet, sexy, contemporary romance, that has a heart-warming, romantic and captivating storyline.
This book can be read as a standalone, but as there are inter-connected characters and details, so I really recommend reading the other two books before starting on this one, to get all the backstory and character information, which will give you a better understanding of this book.
Bailey Lewis is Benjamin and Claire’s daughter (Claire and Benjamin had their story back in Book #1). She’s a twenty-five year old romantic who dreams of being swept off her feet by her knight in shining armour- of having her own fairytale romance with a happily ever after. Problem is she hasn’t had much luck when it comes to meeting the right man. Plus, she’s spent a great deal of time building her fashion business, right from the ground up. Her little boutique is finally doing really well, and she finally feels like she’s proven herself business wise…. But she wants more. Her brothers talk her into online dating, something she has avoided up until now. But desperate times and all that. So, she sets off on her first ‘date’ only to end up at the wrong persons table. This innocent mix-up is where this story really gets interesting, and introduces her to Carter Boudreaux…. What happens, you ask? All the delightful details can be found when you read this great story for yourself….
I really have enjoyed this series, and this book is no exception. I can always count on Ms. Miller’s imaginative and unique storylines to captivate and entertain me, she is definitely on my must read list. I am looking forward to her next book.

Thank you, Ms. Miller!

An Agreement is the third book in Lindsay Marie Millers’ Summer in New York series. I have read the first two books in the series and also some other books by her so every time I come across another one of her books, I go for it! I love her way of telling the stories and it feels as if they get better and better with each new book I read.
An Agreement is the story of Bailey and Carter. I loved the sweet slow boiling romance where we did not have crazy ups and downs, not at least the way some of the writers like to send us through a wringer … I loved Baily, the sweet and likable Bailey who had her demons she had to fight … and Carter, who did not think he was good enough for Bailey and had his own baggage to deal with … I loved how they were working through their baggage and how they grew closer and closer and I kept keeping my fingers crossed for a happy ending … it is always great to experience with the characters the light they reach after a long stay in the darkness …
I hope that the writer will keep sharing with us more stories of Summer in New York … she did introduce a number of great potential characters here…

An Agreement Summers in New York book 3 by Lindsay Marie Miller

Four Stars

Once you make an agreement you should do your best to honor it. Bailey has had a tough life and is trying to find her happy place. I felt from the beginning that Carter would change her. I dislike family drama. It never seems like they actually get over the issue. Like my aunt who cooked greens for thanksgiving one year. She didn’t wash them now we tell her to not bring anything. Lol! It was sad looking at Bailey’s and Carter’s lives through this author. They both had some hard times as children and adults. You could really feel how much time and emotion the author put into this story. I felt like the characters were genuine people. The story dragged a little in the first few chapters but picked up as it went along. I really liked that you see a growth in the main characters lives. I enjoy books that give reason for its characters. Why they live the way they do and how they change and better themselves.

An Accident (Summer in New York, #2)An Accident by Lindsay Marie Miller
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An Accident is the second book in Lindsay Marie Miller’s Summer in New York series and what a great book it is! Yes, you could read it as a standalone but why should you if you have found such an amazing series and you would get so much more out of the story having had read the first book before diving into this one!
An Accident is the story of Amy and Austin. Amy is a young woman who is hoping to open her own gallery once graduating from the NYU; Austin is a country boy from Missouri who is set to make a career in the culinary world. We are along on a ride that takes them from an innocent flirtation to a passionate love affair with everything imaginable in between and beyond!
I love the unique writing style that the writer has, it brings the story alive in front of your eyes and you feel as if you are there, with them! I also absolutely love series as I am dying for a glimpse into the lives of the previous books’ characters (no different here!).
I invite you to come on a journey with Amy and Austin, to find out how they will deal with the reality and their background … will their infatuation blossom into a strong love or will it crumble when facing obstacles … You will enjoy the hours you will spend with them and other secondary characters (that you love or hate … be ready for anything!) and will be left craving for more!

An Arrangement (Summer in New York, #1)An Arrangement by Lindsay Marie Miller
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An Arrangement by Lindsay Marie Miller is the first book in her Summer in New York series. It is not my first encounter with this writer so my expectations very pretty high.
An Arrangement is the story of Benny and Claire who have known each other since they were kids. Their parents used to summer next to each other in the Hamptons but now, they have drifted apart. Claire has always had a crush on Benny and unknown to her Benny has always ‘watched’ her … And then there is Claire’s younger sister Amy who is sick and needs experimental treatment … and her biatch of a mother that simply drove me batty!
I loved the story of Benny and Claire working on finding their way towards togetherness, still, at times they simply drove me bonkers, Claire with her insecurity and Benny with him kindness. At times I thought that he was too sweet and too kind … anyhow, it was a sweet easy read in the midst of all the heavy reading that I have been doing lately and when looking at the line-up I have on my kindle. Sometimes one needs some heart-warming romance with great characters and that is what An Arrangement is! Pick up your copy and keep your fingers crossed for Benny and Claire and Amy and hate your heart out of Claire’s mother!
