Say When by Bree Kraemer is the ninth book in the Cedarville series. I can’t believe there have already been nine books in this series and I have loved each and every one of them and hope there are more to come.
Dani a sweet shy baker with problems speaking with men. She is desperate to come out of her shell and discover the person she is under that fear.
Patrick is the other chef at Dockside and cannot stop eating the cupcakes that are delivered daily. He’s surprised to find out he has known the baker since she was a kid.
This was a very sweet story without a lot of drama which was not needed to make their story wonderful. I hope to see this group of friends again in the future since I’m not ready to let them go.

The Confectioner’s Exile (The Confectioner Chronicles, #0) by Claire Luana was a fast pace, heart pounding read, that had me hooked from start to finish.
Not my first read by this author or in this series. This book takes place before The Confectioner Guild, but no worries there are no spoilers. It’s one of those books that you can read before the first or after, or somewhere inbetween.
Coming in at 151 pages, that book starts out innocent enough, but in a matter of pages you are tossed into a race agents time, a rescue mission and a good old punch to the heart, just to make it all the more nerve wracking. The only thing I would have to say, that I didn’t like, was that at times I felt like, the emotions weren’t there. There is flatness where there should have been raw bloody emotions, that rip out your heart strings. I know this was short, but I feel like more time should have been spent into developing those emotional scenes, to round out this otherwise excellent story.
As a whole I very much loved this addition to this unique series. Following Hale, his journey, and how he ended up at the guild, really puts him in a different light. I like meeting his brother, his mom, and just seeing what his life was like before. It explains a lot to say the least.
With that said, I will leave you with my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval. This series is a must read, it’s putting a new spin on overused tropes and clichés. It’s a breath of fresh air, and I can’t wait to dive into the next instalment.
Climbing the Walls, Hart and Cole Book 1 by Sacha T.Y. Fortune 5 out 5 stars
Let me preface this by saying that I rarely give out 5 stars. Anyone who know me, and knows how many books I read can attest to this, however, this book was masterful. What starts off as a slow burn, quickly heats up and then sends you on one emotional roller coaster that has you holding on for dear life and when it is all said and done, you are begging for more. I am not typically a fan of first person viewpoint writing but for this book, it works very well. The author managed to created two individual people within the story and tell a first person view from each of them and they did not get lost in each other, nor did one overpower the other.
This book offers a unique view on what the outside world misses for most marriage, couples, unions, motherhood, and even everyday life. I loved this book. I was very surprised by this book but pleasantly so. I cannot wait for book 2.

Degrees of Control: A Prestian Series, Book 3 by Via Mari 4 out of 5 Stars
This continuation of the Prestian Series is a fantastic read. This book is not a standalone. You will need to read books 1 and 2 to fill in the gaps of where this story picks up. Katarina has shattered Chase. She has rejected his marriage proposal and now he is at a loss. He still wants her, but Katarina is having a hard time coming to terms with being wanted by a man like Chase. They are thrown together in a crisis and they must learn to navigate this new dynamic between the two of them while Katarina still tries to deny to both herself and Chase that she isn’t what he wants, however, she soon begins to realize that she was wrong all along. This book is hot. Passion and sexual desire are straight off the charts and the plot within the store gives you something to work through while Katarina and Chase circle each other like hawks.

Ring Tru, Book 1 of the Thick as Thieves series by Janice M. Whiteaker. Four Stars
They may be thieves but they’re not close. Tru has no way to survive but to steal. But has she picked the wrong man to hit? Will is a blast from the past that Tru wishes to forget. This was a short read but we’ll worth the time spent reading it. You get a feel for every character. Tru was fearless and fragile. Not in the sense that she would break but that her emotional walls are not as strong as she would like. I don’t think most people understand how much it takes to truly forgive someone. I enjoyed this authors writing. I didn’t feel like the story was rushed or missing anything. The characters were well developed. The flow of the authors writing style made it a smooth read as well. This book hit the heart a little when reading it. I couldn’t imagine some of the things that I read. Definitely read the first book first before reading this one. It was a little slow in spots and in other spot I just couldn’t get into. The book had a good plot and a good baseline to the story. I would just get a little lost in spots. Especially with not being able to believe in some of the stuff happening. There was good description and tough female characters that you will love.

Ring Tru is the first book in Janice M Whiteaker’s new series called Thick as Thieves. I have read EVERYTHING that she has written so I have been sitting on hot coals while waiting for this one to be published! It is very different from her other books and I love how she can pick up a different ‘genre’ and just run with it! Ring True is a story of second chances peppered with mystery, suspense, danger, intrigue, plots and a lot of love and heartache and … so basically everything under the sun! We meet Gertrude “True” and Will – they share a history, a very intense one and they did not depart on good terms … how would you call when your husband walks out on you when you are in hospital having been shot???!!! Even if he thinks that he did it because he thought it was the best thing he could do for you????!!! Men, do we need to say anything else! Also, our Tru has been in a very interesting line of business for the last 15 years and she is so ready for a fresh start and this is the last job she will ever do in her old line of business … and then of course there is Will … is he on her side or is she the ‘enemy’ and what is the job he is working? Will he protect her? Will they find their way back to each other? Pick up a copy and I know you will join me in impatiently waiting for the second book in the series!

I have to say that I wasn’t disappointed. This is the third book in this series and I was just as hooked on this one as I was the first. The author has a really refreshing take on werewolved. I really couldn’t put this book down.
I really got into the story and could feel all the emotions Bryce was going through. I really could feel the chemistry between him and Alexis. The drama added just enough to the story line. I really liked that Bryce was the first human in one hundred years to be transformed. The story really just fits so well with the first two books and I really cannot wait to read more from not only this series but also this author.

A brilliant anthology of tales featuring pets in space. In The Heart of the Cat alien shapeshifters search for a mythical item to help their people but discover there is more to the tale. In Desert Hunter on a fantasy world desert travellers Mersi and Bren help a stray dog and face their fears. In Star Cruise Mystery Dancer a talented dancer is more than she seems and has a mysterious pet. Or Operation Ark a tale of returning animals home and facing troubles on the way and many more captivating tales to explore in this fantatsic collection. A great read. Well developed plots with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Fast paced action and high stakes in wonderful fantasy worlds made for a highly captivating read throughout the novel. In particular, I loved the visual detail throughout the stories, in the sci fi nature of the world’s with two suns or extreme places like the desert with its dunes and harsh climate. Or the sarafin world with the exotic and eerie beauty of the forest kingdom with a sacred sense of magic and mystery. Overall, a great anthology and I would give it five stars.

3 and a half stars for this one.When I read the blurb I was convinced the story is about Steel and Nikki. How Steel is such an alpha male obsessed with his job when Nikki comes along but tries to keep her away as she can be a distraction. I was expecting that pull, the banter, his inner struggle but we got none of that. However I found myself more interested in Grace’s story and her past and what’s going on with Flynn. Those parts had the premises of a good psychological thriller that I didn’t even care at that point how the relationship between Steel and Nikki develops. I didn’t see them as main characters.
I understand this book is part of a series however a bit of a introduction of what’s going on would have been amazing and made this book possible to be read like a standalone. Without that, I felt I am missing important bits and made Steel and Nikki’s story hard to follow.

Say When is my favourite book in Bree Kraemer’s Cedarville series. This is the 9th book in the must-read romance series and it follows Dani and Patrick along with appearances from my other favourite Cedarville couples! Though this book can be read as a standalone I would suggest reading the other books first as the characters that make appearances in Say When have their very own touching romance stories as well that are also worth a read!
This book was my favourite of this series due to the fact that it had everything I hope for in a romance read, a couple with amazing chemistry, steamy scenes, a build of emotions and of course a happily ever after. I loved how quickly I was able to connect with these characters and follow along their journey, I was saddened when I reached the end but I’m hoping to read more about Dani and Patrick in books to come!
This is a book and series I would recommend to anyone looking for their next romance read!

This was a fantastic read and one that I couldn’t put down at all. The author wrote this book in such a way that I honestly felt I was a part of Kris and Nicole’s story. I could feel everything that they did, all the raw emotion that they felt towards each other. I think she depicted some aspects of some marriages really well and it felt like I was reading a real story at times. I really liked Kris, I thought that he was such a loving husband and there were times I really felt for him, Nicole was a character I did struggle to connect with at times. There were some good unpredictable twists in the story that I certainly didn’t see coming or expect at all! Climbing The Walls is the author’s debut novel and I definitely think that she should be very proud of it. I am very much looking forward to the next book in the series and reading more about the characters.

This is the story of Savannah Edgerton who is in a horribly abusive relationship and one night her husband kicks her out in the dark. After nearly running over Savannah, Tom Rankin & Greg Jackson take her in even though they don’t believe the story of her looking for her dog. She has bruises inside and out and they soon find out she is very closed off. As they stay together and end up getting to know each other better they begin to have feelings for each other. AMAZING!! That’s the word I would use to describe this book! I absolutely loved every second of it. I was hooked from the very beginning and I never wanted it to end! I have read books by this author before and I love her writing style, her books are truly a joy and pleasure to read. I think Jesse and Harlow are two of my favourite characters that I have read so far this year, they were relatable and I connected with them straight away. I loved the chemistry between the two of them. I really loved Harlow! She was just so amazing to read about. Jesse – oh be still my heart – I LOVED him! I didn’t want the story to end because I wanted to read more about him! This book could be read as a standalone but you will not regret reading the others book in the series at all! Jesse is the 3rd book in the Glass City Hearts series by Desiree Lafawn. I was unaware that there were 2 book before this one but this did not affect my enjoyment or understanding of this book as each can be read as a standalone, although the same characters are present in each book. I would suggest reading them all as, if the 3rd book is anything to go by then I’m sure the first 2 will be equally as awesome and I’ll be sure to read them in the future. This is the story of Jesse and Harlow. Jesse is running his dad’s bar after the death of his mother. Harlow is a single mum whose son (amusingly also called Jesse but is shortened to JJ) pees on Jesse when he’s caught short on the way to his mum’s job interview. There is instant chemistry between Jesse and Harlow. This is a really heartwarming romance. Harlow hasn’t let any guy near her following her disastrous relationship with JJ’s dad and she’s too busy concentrating on getting a job to have a better life for her and JJ. I’m a total sucker for an adorable kid in a book and I can say whole heartedly that JJ is a total scene stealer. He is just the most awesome kid and you can’t help but fall in love with him from the very first chapter. This is one of those romance stories that make you all warm and fuzzy inside and I’d totally recommend it to others.

Hope’s Decree by Angela McPherson was a unique book. I enjoyed the storyline as it seemed to go fast. I was reading the story and the next thing I knew It was over. I will say that I didn’t realize that I was going to read it all in one sitting. I would prepare to read this in one sitting. The characters were fully developed. Hope is an empath. She was having a difficult time with all the people’s emotions around her. She is a high school senior trying to make the best year of her life when she realizes what is going on. One cool aspect of Hope is that she is a descendant of Pandora. I can only imagine what that must have been like. One of the setbacks, is that everyone is trying to find you. All the twists and turns are so worth reading this book because you will be amazed at what Hope is capable of in this world.

I absolutely loved this book!! It was so magical with a good amount of suspense and along with it some fantastic plot twists and turns. I think this is my favourite read from this author so far. I thought the characters were great and I loved reading about them. What I really loved about this book was how unique it was and the author wrote it in such an engaging way that I couldn’t put it down, her world building is usually good but it was excellent in this book. I really liked Wren and I actually liked that I had to work hard to get to understand her, I found her character really intriguing but there was something about her that I just instantly liked. She was a fantastic, strong heroine to read about. I think I would definitely like one of the deserts that she bakes!! Overall a fantastic YA read full of magic and murder mystery! I am really looking forward to seeing what is to come from this series!
Degrees of Acceptance is the second book A Prestian Series by Via Mari. This series should be read in order because this book begins where the first book left off. I think this book is even better than the first, which I loved. This book flowed from the first page till the last, and kept me up most of the night because I just couldn’t put it down tilll I finished. Chase and Katarina’s story continues with this fast paced, action packed installment. I love how this book make you look at things in a different way. It leaves Kate with decisions to make and what she can accept. I’m throughly enjoying this series and look forward to reading the next book.

Savannah’s Saviors (The Cowboys of Cavern County Book 5) by Bella Settarra. This is a new to me author and I knew that I was going to love this book from the beginning. Tom and Greg find Savannah out on a dark country road one night. When they realize that she is injured and quite possibly suffering from hypothermia, they bring her home with them. From the first time they actually see each other, the chemistry is definitely there for the three of them. My heart broke at times for the painful life that Savannah had. This is definitely a book worth reading!!! There are also some extremely hot, sexy scenes between the three of them!!! I am definitely looking forward to more!!!

Hope’s Decree (The Fated Book 1) By Angela McPherson I really enjoyed reading this book, there was action, fun, danger, and really enjoyable characters. I absolutely loved Trinity’s character, she is a strong, stubborn young woman still trying to figure things out and make it through her senior year. Blain, who runs hot and cold towards Trinity, is also a very strong and likable character. The progression of Trinity’s powers and her relationship with the people helping her was written flawlessly. There are more characters to get to know and love in this awesome story. I loved how the author created the dynamic of light vs dark, good vs evil. As soon as I started reading this book I could not put it down, it flowed so well I had to keep turning the pages. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I recommend reading this book, it is a gem.

Another great read from this author and a good introduction to this new series. I always really enjoy reading books by Ms Luana, I find myself easily immersed into her stories and they characters are always well thought out and developed. It is a short read however it was jam packed with a great storyline and some plot twists. I really liked the setting for this story too and thought that the author described it really well. I grew to like Hale over the story, after everything that happened he soon changed his attitude towards things and as the story went on my connection with him grew. I am very much looking forward to reading the next book in the series!!
I am so thrilled that I picked up this gem over the weekend! I was in desperate need of something to shake off a bad book hangover I was having. I had just read and finished a great novel and I had a whole evening ahead of me and nothing was working out for me on my kindle. (Not that I don’t have a million TBR LOL) Then… ‘Climbing the Walls’ fell into my hands and I consumed it in one sitting! (Well past 3 AM) I adored it! Sacha TY Fortune was a new author to me as well, so even more outstanding for an introduction to a new author!
This one has it all. Some angst, hot steamy love, laughter, drama, a magnitude of emotions, and so much more. I loved how it was one of those novels you felt like you were right there and witnessing these lives of the main characters happening. They become real to you and you become invested in them.
Our MC’s in this one are Kris and Nicole Gellar. Niccole, Nicole, Nicole… I had a love hate relationship with her. I admired her ability to embrace her b#tc*y self. We all have our moments as women. I could connect with some of hers. Sometimes it got to be a bit much though. She wants to be the best at everything; her job, motherhood, being a wife. Her boss at work’s personal life is starting to crumble and that is giving her a new perspective on things. Can it help her marriage?
Kris is her adoring husband, I liked him pretty much throughout the book. He loves his family, and it shows in everything he does. He has a lot of self-doubt though. And lacks in the communication department. Their two children are adorable too, especially the daughter. She reminded me of my kiddo, too smart for her age. I can’t wait for the next book!

I really enjoy my visits to Cedarville. Now, don’t worry too much if you haven’t read all of the previous Cedarville novels from Bree Kraemer before this one. I would really only be concerned that you read “After All These Years” which is book #7. That is where we first get to meet the main characters of “Say When”. All of Kraemer’s Cedarville’s novels are fantastic though. I truly love the cast of characters. They all vary and are like old friends that we get to visit from time to time. I would have to say this one happens to be one of my favorites though and comes as a nice and sweet heartwarming read that I just couldn’t put down until I had devoured all of it in one sitting.
Like I said we have met Dani before in the seventh book, “After All These Years.” There we found out all about her shyness. It really inhibits her ability to live out in the open or find love. But it doesn’t affect her gift of baking. She makes some delicious treats and finds herself making the deserts that are served at the restaurant that Wes runs and opens in the book.
Patrick was hired as the chef of Wes’s restaurant. He himself is a quiet guy. His passion for cooking is sort of similar to Dani’s love of baking. Patrick has also fallen in love with the cupcakes that he has been consuming at the restaurant. He just wishes he knew who made them. Jessie is the third book in the Glass City Hears series from Desiree Lafawn. I would highly recommend that you read the other books in the series before you read this one. Now with that said, you can read this as a standalone. I would keep in mind a few things though. There are several characters and their story lines that make appearances in this book. This series is a great series. Each book tops the one before it, a task that I keep finding harder to accomplish but proven wrong by Ms. Lafawn. Jesse happens to be my favorite so far!
Jesse is such a sweet romance. He himself is a sweet character. I truly enjoyed reading him and Harlow only sweetened the deal that much more. This was their story. Jesse manages the bar his father owns. It really isn’t his passion though and to make matters worse the relationship he has with his family is strained at best. Then he meets Harlow. There is a pretty intense connection between the two off the bat. Harlow needs a job to take care of her son. Jesse wants to help out. How will the workplace romance work out? Can they find happiness together?
I just loved all the sweet and wholesome feel-good love in this book. It was nice to light happy love story to coo at for a few hours. I can’t wait to see what will come next in the series. Thanks for another great read Ms. Lafawn!

Gotta love them cowboys! Savannah’s Saviors is Book 5 in the Cowboys of Cavern County series by Bella Settarra. I haven’t read any of the previous books in the series but from what I read you don’t need to. You can read this as a standalone even though my OCD brain is telling me that I should have read the others! This is a book on a ménage relationship and apparently there are other ménage books in this series. Savannah has suffered a life that felt like a prison by a man that doesn’t love her but will not let her go either. When she finally seeks the courage to ask for a divorce he tries to ruin her once more and kicks her out with only the clothes on her back. While walking about down the road she almost gets run over by Greg and Tom. These two seriously hot cowboys take her in and help her get well. There is a serious attraction between the three of them. Still being married proves to be a problem, not to mention Savannah is trying to start over. However, Greg and Tom have another agenda. That agenda is to try and keep Savannah. To do that…they must save her from her past aka her husband. This is a great story. You instantly fall in the love with the characters and the way that the story is written turns this book into a serious page turner! I didn’t want to put the book down once I started it! Definitely recommend this book and I can’t wait to read the others in this series!

Jesse is the third book in the Glass City Hearts series by Desiree Lafawn. This is a contemporary romance with some drama, suspense, emotion, and a lot of heart and soul. I have read all Ms. Lafawn’s books now and am really impressed at how easily she can slip from one genre, and into another. From Paranormal romance to romantic comedy, she can do it all, producing wonderful stories that will keep you hooked right till the end. Because of this, and the fact that the other two books in this series are so good, I had pretty high expectations for this book, and I am happy to say that Ms. Lafawn didn’t let me down, she definitely upped the ante with this production, writing what I consider to be one of her best books to date! You could read this book as a standalone, but as the series has recurring characters who make appearances too, so I highly recommend reading the other two books before starting on this one- just to get a better perspective of the characters- not to mention that they’re all superb stories in their own rights. Jesse hasn’t had an easy life growing up. His father is a hard man who is emotionally distant and now caught in a cycle of alcoholism. Jesse has had it drummed into him all his life that ‘blood is thicker than water’, so he’s put aside his dreams of having his own bakery, to help his father by taking over the running of his bar. Jesse hoped that by helping out, his dad would get back on his feet again, and Jesse would be free to follow his dreams once more. But as the story progresses, this becomes an increasingly slim hope, as his father seems to spiral downwards. Will Jesse have to choose between keeping the bar open, or moving on for his own sake. Then throw a beautiful, single mother into the mix, and Jesse’s world will never be the same again. Harlow Jones is a hard-working, and determined, single mother. Her gorgeous four year old son is her whole life. But after losing her job, she’s determined to get back on her feet. She has an interview lined up, that she hopes will be the answers to her prayers. But life with a four year old is completely unpredictable- and an encounter with Jesse changes everything. The story has a great pace and a smooth flow. It is told from alternating POV’s- Jesse and Harlow’s- which gives us a really great balance of perspectives, thoughts and feelings. As always, this story is really well written, and so very easy to read. Ms. Lafawn has a warm, sexy, and engaging style- full of wonderful descriptions and intricate details that added an extra layer of interest to the storyline. Now, I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next!

Savannah’s Saviors is the fifth book in the Cowboys of Cavern County Series by Bella Settarra. I didn’t realise when I snapped up this book, that it was number five in a series, so even though it could be read as a standalone, like I have done- there were characters in this book who I felt I should have known more about- that perhaps by not ‘knowing’ them I was missing out on an added layer of enjoyment. It has definitely intrigued me into wanting to find out, so I will go back and read the other books in the series, too, and see if my feelings were correct. This book is a contemporary western romance, with a bit of a twist. The story has drama, danger, suspense, action, a little violence, passion, secrets, insta-love, steam, and passion. The storyline includes a three-way/polyamorous relationship between the three leading characters (but it also appears that this isn’t the only ménage in the series). Samantha Edgerton has endured 3 years of misery and heartache in an abusive and loveless marriage. When she finally has enough and asks for a divorce- her husbands reaction is to kick her out into a cold, stormy, winters night with only the clothes on her back. She stumbles for miles in the dark, deserted countryside- she’s is exhausted, frozen, and confused. When all of a sudden, a car comes zipping around the corner, almost colliding with her. In an effort to avoid being hit, Savannah loses her footing and takes a tumble. The car stops, and two hunky cowboys come to her rescue. Taking her back to their place and nursing her back to health. But Savannah doesn’t know them, and even though they seem kind and caring, her experiences have left her wary. She’s not going to trust just anyone. But as she spends more time with them- their mutual attraction grows, and she begins to let down her defences. Tom Rankin and Greg Jackson work on a nearby ranch. The last thing they expected to find on their way home after a long day, out in the middle of nowhere, during a storm- was a beautiful woman. They are immediately drawn to her, and suspect that there is more to her and her story than she is letting on. But with some secrets of their own, they are determined to help her any way they can. Soon, feelings become involve and passions are unleashed. What happens when her secrets are revealed? And what happens when she discovers what they’ve been hiding? What will the future hold for these three, especially since she has a violent, snake of a husband who’s still lurking out there somewhere? The chemistry between the three is very instant, and steamy. There are moments where the three are feeling their way through the emotion, and complexities that come with this type of relationship- not just two personalities and feelings to take into account in everything, but three. The story gives a whole new meaning to the term teamwork, that’s for sure!

Four Stars I liked how this story used metaphors to get a little laughter going. I have never been a fan of baseball. But reading this book has me wanting to watch a few games to check out the scenery. Jamie was getting his big shot to go pro when tragedy hit his life. The lost he suffer was heartbreaking. He is very courageous for carrying on the way he did. He did have his issues but don’t we all? Kira came with her own emotional baggage. She seemed very indecisive to me. Her emotions jumped around a lot single conversations. Overall it was a good story. The characters were flawed and gave 100% to their performance. I usually can get a feel of how things can happen in a story. I was glad that the author deviated from the norm. I read HEA to escape my busy life. So I’m glad I picked up this story. Savannah’s Saviors was a great steamy 5 star read.
You get pulled in right from the beginning when Savannah is thrown out of her home on a rainy night with nothing, she eventually finds herself in the presence of Greg and Tom. They were definitely surprised to see her in the middle of nowhere and decide to bring her home with them.
Greg and Tom are intrigued and attracted to their visitor. They start to sense that she is in some sort of trouble, what could it be? These two were so sweet with Savannah it really tugged at my heartstrings. As they discover more about her they are even more attentive.
There is so much more to this great read. And I have to say what comes around goes around when it comes to Savannah’s dirt ball husband. The secondary characters were great, I really liked Mrs. Hodges. This is my first read in the series and I wasn’t lost at all, however I do plan to get caught up. Phoebe does it again… once you start reading, you will NOT be able to put it down!! I personally, tuned everything out and read this entire book within a couple hours! Adulting got put on hold for a bit, I had to see what was gonna happen next!! I’m a huge fan on the entire series!! Yes, I do realize it may not be for everyone! It’s soo much more than sexual preference(s) and/or lifestyles. Each book tells a unique and entertaining story, from beginning to end!! This story will pull at your heartstrings and make you feel so many different emotions!! Heartache, loss, love,desire, passion, and so much more ! I do believe this is my favorite of the series so far! It’s full of depth and passion to the brim!! Casey is unbelievably strong and doesn’t give up… she is a fighter in many different ways!! Another amazing job, Phoebe! I can’t wait to see what’s next !!
