Unlikely in Love is the first book in the series A Parker Lake Novel by Ashlie Knapp. This is the fifth book I have read by Ashlie and she never disappoints. I absolutely love Ashlie’s writing style, it is a beautiful and easy read that you will love from the first word to the last. The chemistry between the characters was wonderful and honest and I found myself laughing out loud at their easy and sweet banter and when times were tough I found myself tearing up. Ashlie has the knack to keep you engaged from the start and you will find yourself at the end before you are willing to let go.

Annabelle Cleaver is dealing with the loss of the one person who loved her, when her high school crush walks into her life. With her besties by her side Annabelle is sure to never go under. Wyatt Holloway has come home a broken man who is trying to find himself again after serving three tours with the army. When he sees the beautiful girl from his past she may just be the one thing he needs.

The friendship between Annabelle and her besties had me laughing out loud and found it totally relatable. I truly can’t wait to read the next book in the series. Ashlie is one author you need to add to your reading list.

Gen Ryan is truly a wizard with words. Beautiful Torment is the third book in the Thin Red Lines series and it blew me away just as the other two did. This book is just like the others in that it is heartbreakingly beautiful. It is full of sadness and pain, heartbreak and sorrow and yet wonder and love. You get a glimpse into the minds of people who do terrible things and yet you can not stop reading because you have to know what is going to happen. The story evolves around three FBI agents who have each had more tragedy in their lives than anyone should have to see let alone live. These characters are trying to rebuild themselves and do their jobs at the same time. They are not only the best of friends they are family. Gen writes so well that you believe you are a part of their lives. They bleed, you bleed with them, they cry, you cry with. I can’t wait to read other books by Gen Ryan because I enjoy her style of writing.

WOW this is certainly an explosive end to the story of Emmalin and Grayson. Marie certainly has a way with words when she writes and there is so much emotion in the story telling. You will definitely need tissues to get you through this one. By the time I was finished I felt like I had been through an emotional wringer. Just like the other books about our characters, it was not all rainbows and stars, it takes you to some dark and twisted places that you are not sure you want to go but you just can’t say no and put the book down. Having said that, some of the issues that are faced in this book may not be for everyone.

Grayson and Emmalin have had many trials and tribulations, heartache and pain to overcome in the other books and they had more in this book that tore my heart out. I have felt every step of the way with these characters and had a lot invested in them. You know it is a good story when you feel so many emotions rush through you as you go on their journey with them. Even though there were a lot of hardships in this book there were also those times that made me smile. If you are a lover of this series, and even if you are not then you should read this book.

FU Cancer by Hilaria Alexander is a wonderful story of strength and resilience that will break your heart one minute and have you laughing out loud the next. Hilaria has managed to write about a horrible disease and inject it with just the right amount of humour. This is a story about a sweet romance that happens along the way whilst dealing with one womans battle with cancer. It is beautifully written book.

Unfortunately it doesn’t matter if you are sick when you have two beautiful little boys to look after. I doesn’t matter that you are a single mum, cancer does not discriminate by age or sex. It does not care if you have a life, nope you just have to go on and face that sucker head on just like Lucy Porter, a young mother who has just been diagnosed with cancer finds herself doing. Lucy has found friendships and love in the most unlikely place. In one of the lowest points of her life, she finds something that she never imagined. A man who not only helps her get through some of her toughest days, but he also helps her to remember what it is like to not only be a woman but to be a sexy woman and also to live her life.

Brandon has dealt with cancer most of his life but when he comes face to face with one extraordinary woman he can’t help but want to get to know her more. He wants to be there to help her through one of the lowest points in her life. Wants to help her through some of her toughest days. Wants to help her remember what it is to be a sexy woman.

FU Cancer shows us all the fears and struggles and the strength of one woman to fight and show cancer the front door. Sometimes you want to say FU Cancer but sometimes you want to say thank you Cancer. Read Lucy’s story and take the journey with her as she laughs and cries and finds love and life again.

Hart Broken by Annie Arcane is a beautiful and emotional story. I read this book from start to finish in one go because I couldn’t put it down. Annie’s writing is creative and expressive and draws you in with these wonderful characters. She cleverly entwines the first person narrative with the third person narrative and with the angst and pain, the shyness and unsurety these characters feel makes for an explosive story.

The story revolves around Mickey Hart who is a wonderfully sweet yet damaged soul, which she hide well, who was not looking for love and Cale Windermere who is filled with self doubt but is one special man. After his accident he doesn’t see himself as a whole man. The characters have real struggles and flaws and things to overcome and you can feel their pain, their joys and their love but is love enough? Can they get over their issues to be with one another? Will they open up enough to let the other in? Is self preservation worth more than love?

I really enjoyed this read because of the characters that are beautifully written. I am a fan of Mickey and Cale and am waiting to read the next installment to the series and follow them on their wonderful journey, hopefully together. I also loved the teasing way and the love Cales family have for one another it brought more depth to the story. I encourage you to read the book and enjoy the heart touching emotional ride when you read this contemporary romance love story with a little twist.

The Alpha’s Pride is the first book in the Blood Bonded series by Deidre Huesmann. It is a very, very quick read but it kept me interested. I certainly would have liked to read more about these characters and would have liked it to be a full book story rather than the short one it is. It was well written and straight to the point.

Val finds herself at the mercy of a shifter but what will she choose? She soon finds herself in a game of life and death with a shifter who likes to play games. Will he stalk her and let her go if she wins or will she lose and face the consequences? Death!

Riker is enjoying his game, he loves the hunt, the thrill of chasing his prey. Will he let her live or will he kill her? What he does know is that she is different than any of the others he has faced, she is a fighter. Perhaps he will not kill her, perhaps she could end up more than he ever thought possible. Could she be what he has longed for?

If you are looking for a quick read and a taste of shifters then this is a book for you.

Beautiful Masterpiece is the first book in the Thin Red Lines series by Gen Ryan. The story is very deep and dark, twisted and disturbing, terrifying and truly intense. Gen Ryan gives you a look into the twisted minds and souls of those who have been lost to the darkness. It is a psychological thriller that captures you and you can’t let go, much like a horror that you watch behind you fingers but can’t turn it off. Gen writes in different points of view which helps you find the deeper meaning behind each character, it definitely helps the story flow and melds it together nicely.

Maddison is a haunted young woman who had a horrific childhood that she is trying to run away from and lead a normal. But what is normal? Normal is not the serial killer father who killed her mother and got caught just shy of murdering her too. Normal is not looking over your shoulder and experiencing fear from a man who has escaped jail and is now playing with her.

Liam is a haunted young man who had a horrible childhood that he is trying to run away from and lead a normal life. But what is normal? Normal is not the dark thoughts he has. Normal is not acting on those dark thoughts and the voices he can’t keep at bay. His past haunts him but he has just found the one thing that may save him.

Scott is a knight in shining armour, he has not stopped thinking about the little girl who lived next door, the little girl he saved from certain death. Now he is face to face with the past and his job is to protect her at all costs, even if it is from herself.

My emotions were all over the place as I read this story and you find yourself getting attached with these characters. I enjoyed the whole thrill of the chase game throughout the story. There is a lot of dark and terrible things happen in this book that could be triggers for some people so tread carefully but if you like something dark and twisted then this is the book is for you.

Life’s Gateway to Happiness is the second book in the Show Me Series by Anne Stone. This book continues with ​the Alvarez and Samuels families. I would read the first book of the series, Life’s Second Chances first as you will get a fuller picture of the world these characters live in. The story will grab you from the beginning and you will find yourself feeling so many emotions when you read it. It is well written with loads of drama that will keep you guessing until the very end. The plot is not revealed all at once but is fed to you bit by bit to keep you hooked. Anne’s characters are loveable and easy to relate to. The are a family that is so genuine that you soon find yourself wanting to get involved in their lives.

Kelly Samuels loves her job as a tester for a software company but her dreams have just come crashing down. She needs to get out of there, she needs to be safe and the only place she can do that is with family. Kelly is home but has not revealed everything that has happened to her family, she is not the girl they have all known and loved. She feels like a failure and does not want to face all that has happened to her. Her family know there is something going on but find themselves running into roadblocks every time they confront her. What has Kelly running scared? Will she reveal the truth behind all that has happened? Will she trust enough to let others help her? Will she ever be whole again?   Alec Alvarez is a confirmed bachelor, he is happy with his busy life as a doctor and loves his family something fierce but there is more to this beautiful woman and something about her that calls out to his protective nature. Alec can see there is much, much more to the story than is being told but he doesn’t want to push. He wants to be there and help her through whatever has her running, whatever has her scared. Whatever the secret she is hiding it is eating her up from the inside out and he feels helpless. When they finally learn the truth will it be too late to save her? Will hearts be broken before they really begin? Will he be the one to save her?   All in all though this is a sweet romance and the men are the sort you only dream about and want to take home to mum. It is sad to see such a strong beautiful woman become a shell of herself but come through it with the love of her family and her sexy, strong and supporting man.

Lukas is the fourth book in the This is Our Life series by FG Adams and it is just as good as the others. It can be read as stand alone but I encourage you to read them in order to feel the relationships of these wonderful Alpha military men, who will set your heart pumping, with their loyalty and love for their family. FG writes a great tale and this story, just the same as the others has twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat but you will be swept away with want for these wonderful characters of the Trident Security and you will be just as affected by Grandma Matilda. With her in your corner, the sky’s the limits.

Lukas Rogers has left the military life but is down and out on his luck, he is a broken man with nowhere to go but further down, or so he thinks. Masking his feelings has become his game but all he needs is one person and that person likes to run and hide. The Point by Lori Thomas Harrington is a contemporary romance and one heartfelt and beautiful story that had me hooked from the beginning. It will have you laughing and crying throughout and the ending, WOW, I sobbed my heart out. Tissues are a must. The story is well written and flows easily.

Emma Ashby has just come home after being away for years and trying to put the past behind her. She has a great job which she loves but can she leave it behind to have what she finds when she returns home. Could it be enough, to see childhood wishes and dreams brought to life? She knows she has to face her past but is she really ready for it? Can she face the one person who destroyed her happiness all those years ago? Is she really that strong?

Drew Dalton knows she is coming to town but is he prepared to see her? He has moved on with his life, hasn’t he? He loves someone else, doesn’t he? The Caretaker is the second book in The Sin Bin series by Dahlia Donovan. It can be read as a standalone but is best read in order so you can enjoy the building of the previous characters. It is just as good as the Wanderer and is another sweet romance story. I enjoy Dahlia’s writing, she breathes life into her characters that has you feeling like one of the gang.

This wonderful story is about Freddie Whittle and Taine Afoa. Both come from completely different backgrounds, Freddie, has a heart of gold and is a nurse working with cancer patients but losing them can be heart breaking and wearing on the soul, but he loves it. His busy life doesn’t leave much room for a relationship but when he meets a tall dark and handsome he starts to wonder what could be. Is he ready for a relationship? Could this man be interested in him?

Taine Afoa is a retired rugby player and not looking for love. He enjoys relationships but enjoys his time by himself but when he meets a caring, cute young man he interest is peaked. He finds himself thinking about the young man but is he too old and is he ready for a relationship? Can Taine get over the age difference? Is he ready to settle down?

This book captured my heart as did the first book. It is a beautiful story of love and acceptance. There are moments of sadness and joy and the characters will have you laughing with their comradery and their antics.

Disaster in Love is the first book in The Disaster series by Liz Bower. Disaster in Love is a romance story with a little mystery, a little intrigue and a lot hope and dreams. You will not be able to put it down until you have read it all, trying to work out the twists and turns.

Kimberly Hardwick is on a mission to unravel a mystery that only her parents shared but in order to unravel this mystery she has to jump on a plane. As she sits on the plane she is trying to talk herself out of disaster but her worst fears are confirmed when things don’t go according to plan. But all is not lost with the handsome stranger sitting next to her. Never did she know that her first ever flight would lead to more than she ever thought. Kimberley has dreams but those dreams take money and that leads her to the temp job and the uncomfortable situation she now finds herself in. Never in a million years would she have dreamed that her mystery man be here staring her in the face and being introduced as her new boss. When Kimberly discovers a discrepancy she quickly learns that things are certainly what they seem.

The relationship between the two main characters will leave you a little confused at times. You will find that you have to keep reading because you just want to know what is going to happen next and where the story will lead. There were times when I thought the main male character needed to get his act together but you have a sense there is more and all will be revealed in the end. I enjoyed the story and am sure if you like a mystery with romance and intrigue you will too.

Summer Solstice is the fourth book in the Legend series by McKayla Schutt and can be read as a standalone but reading the others would give you a better understanding of the characters and the world in which they live. This book is just as good as the others and it is ​another great read. It is a fast paced story that is well written and will definitely satisfy the paranormal seeking within you. Once again McKayla has created a great combination and a great group of characters, with hot sexy Alpha’s who will do anything for the loves of their lives, their mates, who happen to be witches and their pact.

In this book we see Carmen a witch who is always in trouble, not that she seeks trouble, trouble seems to find her. When Carmen is sent to help supervise a new coven to start off in the right way she finds herself stuck in the middle of nowhere. Suddenly she finds herself face to face with a shifter and little does she know this shifter would change her life.

Aiden has always lived for his family, his pact but when a beautiful young witch enters his life he realises that what he wants is right in front of him. One touch and she is his, one imprint says she is his mate. A mate that is a witch, a witch that doesn’t want him, now he just has to prove that they are one and should complete the bonding to make them one or he will lose his wolf forever.

When Carmen is kidnapped by a Hunter hell bent on destroying witches and shifters a like, will Aiden find her in time or will he be too late? Will one bite take away all he has dreamed about? Will one bite change the one thing he can’t live without?

This book is a great read with witches, wolves and all things paranormal. It is a hot romantic erotica that will leave you wanting more.

Salvage Him is the first book in the Highland Park Chronicles by Sydney Aaliyah Michelle. Salvage him is a BDSM erotica romance and is one steamy story. You will be hooked from the very beginning. I loved the main characters, Harrison and Brooklyn, who have one sizzling connection but they find themselves in a very complicated situation. You will also enjoy the rest of the motley crew and find yourself often laughing along with them.

Brooklyn left one relationship for another but was it the right move? She is married to Paul, an older man, but she knows in her heart that something is missing, she no longer feels love for her husband. Brooklyn thought she was happy with her life, done with the lifestyle she ran away from but when she meets others from the lifestyle she once led, she realises that her husband can no longer fulfill her needs. Brooklyn is unable to control the connection she feels when she meets Harrison. He and his friends are building her new house and each of them are hot, sexy alpha males.

The characters are well written and is full of passion, the book is a great read that will definitely satisfy the romantic within you and keep you hooked from the first page until the last.

When Cheri Winslow Gates entered her home she encountered far more than she thought she would ever see. The scene before her sends her fleeing and now realising her life has been a total lie. Now she is finally getting her life back together, after her divorce Cheri thought she would never put the past behind her. But will all her happiness be tested when the one who hurt her suddenly appears in her life again? What will happen when past and future collide? For Forester is the second book in the For You series by J. Nathan. It is a standalone contemporary sports romance that is sweet, sexy and heartfelt. The story is told from the two main characters points of view, which I love. J. Nathan once again has a hit with this story that have you turning page after page soaking it up right to the end. J. Nathan’s writing flows effortlessly an interesting plot and a storyline that has that perfect blend of sexyness and sweetness.

Marin finds herself kicking her cheating husband to the curb and trying to pick up the pieces of her life. When she comes face to face with her neighbour, who is no longer the young boy, she asks him to spend time with her young son, to be a role model for him. What Marin doesn’t realise is that what she is asking for will change her life. It seems that a certain young man makes an impression on both Marin and her son CJ. Can Marin overcome the age gap between them? Will Marin be swept off her feet? Will Marin’s ex make life to difficult for them to be together? Will Marin realise just how good life can be with the right man?

Trace is one young man who knows who he is and what he wants. He is sweet and thoughtful, sexy and comfortable with who he is. He is self-assured and oozes confidence which makes him seem more mature than someone his age. When he sets his eyes on his sexy neighbour all his fantasies flash before his eyes. Trace decides to go after what he wants and what he wants is Marin and her son CJ. When things get tough will Trace walk away or will he fight for what he wants? Will Trace realise that what he has never had is the one thing he really wants?

Marin is one tough girl who can truly be who she is with Trace. It is a beautiful story that hits all the right spots and will leave you wanting more. I am looking forward to seeing what J. Nathan has in store for us next.

Inevitably Yours is the fourth book in the Imagine Ink series by Verlene Landon and just like all the other books this one did not disappoint. I have loved each and every book in the series and the characters just jump into your heart. This book can be read as a standalone but reading the other books first will ensure you have the whole picture of the world in which these wonderful people live. You will find yourself laughing out loud at their antics, crying along when things are sad and crying tears of joy at heartfelt moments. Valerne is one talented writer that you certainly do not want to miss.

This book focuses on Gus who is the one friend who is always there for her friends and knows how to take care of them. She is a free spirit and is willing to help them in every way that she possibly can. Her closest friends are also her family and she has made the ultimate sacrifice for two of those friends. Gus is unselfishly carrying the special gift of a baby but doing so means that she is possibly sacrificing a life with the man she loves.

John is our other main character in this book and he has faced tragedies in his life which have caused him to take on more than his fair share. It has caused some demons that have changed him from the man he once was, a man that keeps thing close to his heart, a man that has to rationalise everything and likes things in order. He is scared that in order to have a relationship means he has to give up control, lose control and that is not something he is sure he can do.

Can John face his demons and move on? Will Gus be the one to help him move forward? Will John be able to let go before he loses what he loves before it is too late? Will Gus be able to keep the man she loves? Will she let him go to set him free?

I love this can’t wait for the next installment to the Imagine Ink world.

No Place to hide is the second book in the Rocking Racers series by Megan Lowe. It can read as a standalone but I would read them in the order they are written so you don’t miss out on the background of the other characters. You will fall in love with each one of the characters from both stories as they are well developed and they have a background you can relate to. This story is more than romance, it is about two people trying to find themselves and finding that connection that makes them feel whole but can that happen when you are continually pulled in different directions.   The events that went on with the separation between her parents, have left McKnley hardened and hateful. Over twenty years have passed since the one person, your best friend was whisked away without a word, now he stands before you unexpectedly. They never got to say goodbye, but what is there to say? He ruined her life? Being in the limelight isn’t easy when you are the bad girl of a famous rock n roll band, McKnley has everything she wants but at the same time she is empty, she wants more. All she wants is to be true to herself.

Cole has finally signed on by Ryan Racing as a professional bike rider. Riding his bike and having the Ryans as his family and believing in him and having his back, just goes to prove dreams can come true. Coming face to face again with the girl from his past, McKnley Rhoades is even better. Can Cole convince McKnley that he is not responsible for ruining her family? Can he convince her he is a good guy and worthy of her friendship and possibly more?

This book is about complicated relationships with family. It shows you that love is worth the fight if only you can let go of and break free of the past. It shows you that family does not always have to be blood but that it can be who you chose. I have fallen in love with the characters in this series and can not wait to see what Megan has in store for them next.

Wet is the first book in the Love in Lone Star series written by Ashley Bostock. This is a compelling read that will see you with a smile on your face and laughing at times when you least expect it. It will have you feeling for the main character Miranda and find you wanting to slap some sense into people for their actions. I love stories that are written in the characters point of view, I find it adds depth and feeling to the characters and this one doesn’t disappoint.

Miranda Phillips is a lonely young woman who has a shitty past, a past she is trying hard to put behind her. She knows she was stupid and did some things she would rather not think about but living in a small town where people are not willing to forgive and forget makes it hard to move on. People with prejudice will always bring you down. Will Miranda ever be able to prove she is more than her past? Will people finally let go of the past? Will she lose out on love just because of those prejudices?

Ryan John is finally finding his way in the small town in which he lives. He knows what people can be like and is not willing to do anything that will put his standing in jeopardy, nothing that will cause his family any harm. But could he be making the biggest mistake of his life? Could he be letting his one chance at happiness, real happiness pass him by? Is he really as judgemental as those around him? Will it take someone close to him to point out that you should practice what you preach? Will he be able to see the other side of the story before it is too late? Is he really about to lose it all just because people are unwilling to see what is before their eyes? Will he finally see those for what they really are? Will he expose those who are hell bent on destroying all he has?

This story is all about second chances. It is a story of letting go of the past and stepping into the future.

But whilst Fin is trying to do that she is suppressing who she really is. Not only does the town need to forgive her but she needs to forgive herself and maybe, just maybe the new guy in town could be the one to do it. Will Fin risk it all and reveal her past and that one tragic night? Will her past be the one thing that ruins what he thinks of her? Will it stop her from moving forward? Will it make him run? Will Fin find the forgiveness she seeks.

Sawyer is new to town, he is hiding from something and is trying to lay low, trying to stay out of trouble. Sawyer decides risking it all, risking being discovered is worth it when he meets a beautiful woman. He knows he should stay away and he wants to stay away, to keep her safe, but he just doesn’t know how. Being with her could be the one thing that reveals his existence and brings trouble to the doorstep of those he cares about. Will Sawyer risk it all and reveal his past and what he is running from? Will his past be the one thing that ruins what she thinks of him? Will it stop him from moving forward? Will it make her run? Will they be able to stay away from trouble or will trouble find them?

Zeia is a good writer who is able to pull you into her story and make you feel for the characters. There is some mystery, suspense and romance all rolled up into one. It is an easy read and an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.

Paisleigh Aumack has written a hit with her debut book Love in Carson Falls. I am excited to read more from this author. This beautiful yet sad story was a very emotional read. You will go through a myriad of emotions and will see you crying for all the heartache the characters go through. The emotional rollercoaster ride will leave you wrecked but it is well worth it. Paisleih did a wonderful job of making you fall in love with the main characters River and Arianna but it is Cadence that will capture your heart.

Arianna Morgan has escaped to Carson Falls a broken and beaten down shell of a woman. Finally being safe and in the arms of her best friend, Penelope, she is trying to move on with her life and picking up the pieces. Arianna finds that this beautiful little town and it’s people are just what she needs to heal. What she finds is more than she could have ever imagined.

River Bradshaw is a resident fireman and single dad to a beautiful five year old little girl, Cadence. One look and he knew his life would never be the same. Wanting to take the pain away and being an alpha male, he is hell bent on protecting what is his. His relationship with his daughter is truly a wonder in itself, she is one special little girl but the love he has for his woman is absolutely swoon worthy.

Will he be the one to save her heart? Will she ever be able to trust again? Can she ever open her heart? Can he protect those he loves? Will all be lost?

I cannot wait to read the next book in this series and highly recommend this sad yet beautiful story.

Love On The Cape by MK Meredith is the first book in the On the Cape, Cape Van Buren series. This is the second book from this author that I have read and I enjoy her stories very much. This is a sweet and sad story where we see both our main characters in great need of love and healing, moving forward and learning from their pasts. MK has written a beautiful story that is filled with lots of emotions, love and laughter.

Larkin Sinclair is trying to move forward after a major tragedy but she doesn’t know how. How can she let go of the past when that is where she wants to be. How can she let go of the past when that is when she loved with all her heart. Now when she finds those memories in jeopardy she must fight for what she believes is right. But is she fighting for the right reasons? Will she lose all she has left of a past she can not move on from? Will she find a way to save her beautiful memories of the Cape? Will the one thing she decides to fight be the one thing that can save her?

Ryker Van Buren knows what he needs to do in order for him to let go of past so dark he can barely breathe. But is it the right thing? To let go of the past he needs to destroy his family’s home, the one that held both wonderful and horrible memories at the same time but sadly the horrible seems to have won out. Will Ryker ever be free of the terror he went through as a child? Will destroying his family’s home help him to let go of the past? Just when things are starting to look up for him, everything he has worked towards comes crashing down, when a green eyed beauty comes into his life. Is his happiness worth more than hers? Is she someone who can finally help him heal? Is he someone who can make her heal? Will the fight be too much and keep them away from each other for ever?

This sweet yet sad story broke my heart and yes there were tears. I was unable to tear myself away until I had finished the entire book. I can not wait to see what MK Meredith has in store for us next!

This book is definitely 5 stars.

Lavender Fields is the the story of Sky Heavensent who is an angel of death who collects the souls of those recently passed. I really enjoyed this story and the characters were very well written that made you feel for them.

Sky is constantly in trouble with his Archangel Gabriel and seen as a liability and different from other angels. Sky is sent on a mission to harvest his latest soul but little does he know it is that of the one he had just set his eyes and lips on, Caleb Pierce. When Sky realises who is newest soul is, he does the one thing that is forbidden. So when Sky finds himself once again in Gabriel’s spot light he knows this time he is in real trouble. Even though Sky is Heaven bound, he decides he can no longer stay away from the one person who has stolen his heart. When Sky discovers that Caleb is in more trouble than he thought he uncovers a plot that could destroy them all but sky will do everything in his power to stop the evil forces that threatens his very soul and those of the ones he loves.

This an angelic romance with lots of drama and suspense, good and evil, light and dark but it also has humour and love. Joan, Caleb’s sister is endearing and will have you laughing at her antics but you will also be in tears because of the evil that inflicts so much pain on this beautiful angel. This lovely story will touch your heart and the love that knows no bounds.

This book has a different twist and is not your normal angel story. It is a truly beautiful, intriguing and charming story and a quick and easy read.

Duplicity is the third book in the St. Fleur series by AJ Renee and I have been waiting to read the story about Jamie Lynn and Jesse. Duplicity is a contemporary romance and is a beautiful love story where one of the two main characters have let their past affect their future. As with the first two books AJ did not disappoint, it is just as captivating and engaging.

Jamie Lynn owns the pub in town and hired Jesse to work as a bartender. She knew she was in trouble when she first laid eyes on him and would be a mistake to hire him but hire him she did. Jamie Lynn is unable to let go of her past in which she believes everyone leaves her and because of this she doesn’t let anyone in, not even her friends.

Jesse is a man who had his future ripped away from him. In order to move on he needs to leave behind his past. When he applies for the job of a bartender in St. Fleur he hopes he can leave his past behind. When he meets Jamie Lynn he hopes she may be the answers he has been looking for. The attraction between the two is instant but Jesse has no idea what he may have done or why Jamie Lynn won’t take the next step with him.

Will Jamie Lynn finally let her guard down? Will she finally let Jessie in? Will Jessie finally find out the truth? Can Jessie get Jamie Lynn to change her mind? Will Jessie finally break down the walls?

This series and this book will make you laugh out loud at the situations and antics that these characters get up to. These Alpha men will have you heart breaking. The friendships that are family will have you believing you are a part of their world. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Promises of Virtue is the second book in the Earthbound Angels series by Randi Perrin. We first met Cheryl in Virtue of Death and the story of Sera and Destin. These books are definitely not your typical romance, they are heavenly, sweet romantic stories with a twist of paranormal. I really enjoy Randi’s writing style and her stories are the perfect blend to this genre.

This book is about one sexy, sassy and caring woman, Cheryl, who after giving up her wings for her best friend and love is at a bit of a loss and unsure of herself after this major change in her life. We find Cheryl in Paris who is immersing herself in the sights, fine art and great food. Cheryl doesn’t do relationships but when she meets her sexy neighbour sparks fly. A holiday fling? Maybe. No strings attached? Possibly. Cheryl is certainly surprised when she puts it all together and suddenly realises just who and what her neighbour is. When their worlds collide Cheryl is left wondering what could have been.

Can Cheryl escape his past? Are they worth fighting for? Will her realise what is important before it is too late? Will he be able to keep away? Will past destroy them all?

As with the first book Randi has written a beautiful and funny story. Cheryl is one quirky, and did I mention sassy and yet sweet character. This story is full of love and beautiful friendships and wonder . As with the first book we learn that true love is worth any sacrifice and love is tested when evil throws a curve ball their way. I enjoyed the characters, the plot and the sense of humour. This is one book not to be missed. I hope there is a third book so that I can see what happens to these wonderful and delightful characters.

Finding Balance is the sixth and last book to The Portal Prophecies written by C.A. King and a wonderful ending to this fantastic series. Just like the other books in this series it does not disappoint. There are plenty of twists and turns, plots, death and survival. This is certainly not a standalone book and you must read every book before to understand this world and the wonderful characters that C.A. has woven.

We find everything coming to a head with the usual suspects Willow and her sidekicks. The final battle is coming and Willow must do everything to stop Cornelius and Cornost. Two evil men who want to conquer the worlds and destroy everything and everyone in their paths. Will must awaken the last of the ancient trees before it’s too late and everything and everyone she holds dear is destroyed. Whilst Willow is racing against time to do everything she can we see the other characters coming to grips with the evil that left them ensnared with no memory of what happened to them and their friends. Along the way Willow finds out exactly who she is and who is on her side and who is not. She also finds out the meaning of love and that true love means selfless sacrifice even though it breaks her heart.

Will Willow find a way to reconcile with long lost friends and family? Will they be taken away before she gets a chance to see them? Will the final battle mean the loss of loved ones? Will Willow loose the one person she loves with all her heart? Will friends be foes and will foes be friends. Can Willow ever overcome the loss she has had to endure?

All in all, this is series for any age and I would recommend it to one and all. I look forward to reading all the books I can from C.A. as she weaves worlds and realms that take you away and yet you feel like you are in it with them every step of the way.

Moments of Love is the third book in the Moments to Remember series by Ysa and it is the perfect culmination of all the other books in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and can’t say enough things about it. It is certainly thought provoking and will have you in tears, not pretty tears, they will be great sobbing tears so ensure you grab a strong drink and a box of tissues and settle down for this last installment to a truly beautiful and heart wrenching story. The story picks up straight off where the second book ended.

Brandy is not only suffering from the effects of Alzheimer’s and then she is now consumed by postpartum depression after the birth of her two beautiful babies. She loves her babies but she can’t seem to make it better. Her family is her life but she knows that with her condition, love is not enough so she does the one thing she believes is best for them. Ivo does all he can to help his wife and keep his family strong, but is it enough?

Ivo is struggling to cope with looking after his wife and caring for his children. But his love can overcome it all. But can it? When Brandy is lost Ivo’s world is turned on it’s head and completely devastated.

This story shows the strength and courage of a the main characters who are dealing with so much. It shows that love can overcome overwhelming odds if you have the right partner to lean on. This series has touched me the way that no other has. Ysa is smart and clever writer that has written an truly beautiful story that will leave you feeling every high and low that the characters themselves feel. This is a very short read but totally worth your time.

Cori Vidae has a way with words and has written a compelling story with Of Water. This book is almost poetic. The story is a bit on the darker side dealing with depression but done in a beautiful way. This is a very very short novella that was very well written and left a punch. It was sad yet mysterious with hopelessness yet hope. Mara is at a crossroad in life. Her world is no longer what she needs. Everything she loves has gone. If I just step into the water everything will be better. However as she is saved by a mystery man she decides she wants to live.

Breaking the Cycle by Megan Lowe is the first book in the Rocking Racers series and it is definitely a five-star read. Our two main characters are Bria Marie Adams and Reed Cooper Ryan meet and sparks explode around them. It is truly love at first sight and soul mates abound. They have a few bumps in the road along the way but nothing they can’t overcome. You will love the characters and the Ryan men are are to die for. They are easy going and a very lovable bunch of people but it hasn’t always been easy for them along the way to love. There is a curse hanging over their heads which has caused them to shy away from commitment and love.

Bria heads to the local dinner for something to eat and and her life changes immediately. She is suddenly thrust into the Ryan family and quickly meshes with them all especially the tall hottie Reed.

Reed has this undeniable pull towards the beautiful woman. He doesn’t do relationships but he certainly wants one with her. He wants to make her his but will the curse strike again? Can he chance a relationship with her and have it all fall apart? Would he be able to survive if the curse were to strike Bria? Will the Ryan rival threaten everything?

Megan Lowe has written a story that packs a punch and it is definitely addictive. The bond that the Ryan family and those they consider family is heartwarming and I often found myself laughing out loud to their antics. There is some rough rides throughout the book that just makes the story that much better. Once you start you will not want to put it down. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
