Can these two fight their attraction or will the pull be too strong?

This book takes you through a variety of emotions as you follow Savannah and Preston through the story. Both have had their hearts broken by previous relationships so building trust is challenging. Can both of them traverse the challenges to build a new life together?

Be aware that some of the subject matter in this story may be a trigger for some readers.

An Appointment is the fourth book in the Summer in New York series from Lindsay Marie Miller, and hands down my favorite of the series so far. I really have enjoyed watching Miller’s writing grow and blossom with each and every novel in this awesome contemporary romance series. I don’t know what it is about An Appointment though, Savannah and her adorable son Tre as well as the ever dreamy Preston just stole my heart right away and ran with it until I had no choice but to put my kindle down because it was sadly over. It is also a huge attraction to me to read novels set in New York and the surrounding areas. I really just have a fascination and can’t wait to someday go back to spend more time there. For now escaping through the pages of a great book is my best bet though and this was one trip I just adored.

Savannah truly hasn’t had the best of luck in love, and honestly I didn’t one second blame her for not being so sure about Preston, no matter how desirable he was from the outside. I can relate. If you have been so badly burned before it is almost impossible to want to trust your heart to someone new. ESPECIALLY when you have a child involved in the mix. Luckily, Preston also understood her situation and unfortunately had his share of unlucky love as well. These two just lit up my kindle and I rooted for them to find that happily ever after from the get go. I was so worried because Ms. Miller sure knows how to keep her readers on their toes! So if you want to see how this turns out and if they ever do get that ending they so deserve, and what it looks like, RUN, one-click and devour this read for yourself over a great glass of wine… I guarantee you will be glad that you did! Thanks for the wonderful read Ms. Miller! Can’t wait to see what will come next!

An Appointment was a great 5 star read and book four in the Summer in New York series.
This can be read as a stand alone.

I was pulled in right from the beginning. My heart went out to Savannah as she was struggling to find out what was going on with her son and of course I was tearing up when the truth came out. The truth put her between a rock and a hard place on what her next step would be. Her ex-husbands family is very influential and could cause problems for her.

Preston is a Dr. that took over for his father, he wasn’t who Savannah expected but she didn’t have a choice, she needed someone to see her son. He was great, you could tell he cared right from the beginning. He connected so well with both Savannah and her son, who I loved.

Both of them have sworn off relationships but there is something drawing them together, you could feel the chemistry coming off the pages. Can these two put their walls down and let each other in? Can they have a HEA?

Overall I really loved this story. All of the characters were great. This really touched my heart in several ways. Lindsay Marie Miller does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. You won’t want to stop until your done. I highly recommend this book and series. 1-click and get started today.

An Appointment written by Lindsay Marie Miller is book 4 in the Summer in New York Series. This story mad me sad, if you’ve ever second guessed yourself, your past relationships or had that one person in your life who put you down instead of helping build yourself up then you can relate to this story. Savannah is trying to be strong for herself and her son Trey but she is stubborn and feels like it’s something she needs to do alone. But once she realizes it’s okay to ask for and receive help her life starts looking up. And her biggest hurdle of all, moving on.

Four Stars

Ugh! Can I get a puke bag please. Lindsay Miller if Savannah doesn’t want Preston I will take him. The man is perfect in the most imperfect ways. Lord if you’re listening send me a big man like Preston lol. I really couldn’t decide if I wanted to fight Savannah or cry for her. Divorce is really hard and it takes something away from you that you never truly get back. I haven’t found it but I haven’t given up either. She just refused to try and wasn’t being fair to Preston. I don’t understand why people feel like children need two parents to be happy. Is it amazing when both parents are there and helping raise the child? Yes! But it’s also proven that a child can be just as happy with only one parent. I almost dropped my phone a few times when Savannah question herself about Trey’s father. If this was me Kevin would be swimming with the sharks. I really did enjoy the story though. It mirrored my life a lot. I truly related to some of the situations. I couldn’t get enough of Preston and Trey. They made the book perfect.

An Appointment (Summer in New York Book 4) by Lindsay Marie Miller is a contemporary romance. The opening chapters of this story start off in such a way that draw your attention and pique curiosity. Two characters who may not believe in happily ever after noting past events that have shaped their present. Events have Savannah and Preston crossing paths in multiple ways, as if fate is throwing up a flag to get their attention. Lindsay Marie Miller has captivated me with this story, from the past to the present, to where this story could possibly go. These characters were more that one-dimensional with strong family ties that have influenced their expectations from life. A great story from an author that can deliver time and time again.

By: Lindsay Marie Miller
5 out of 5 stars

The story An Appointment (Summer in New York Book 4) by Lindsay Marie Miller is a New Adult/Contemporary romance book. It is a story that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let go until I had finished the final page. It had my emotions going up and down the entire time that I was reading. The romance is off the charts. I loved reading about the characters of Savannah and Preston. Savannah is a woman who has had her heart broken. She is stubborn and wants to be able to stand on her own two feet. After her divorce, she doesn’t want another relationship. Then she meets Preston. Preston is a man that is kind, caring, and very handsome. He too has sworn off relationships however at times realizes how lonely his life has become. Then he meets Savannah. These two have an attraction to each other. There is a connection between them. Will their past get in the way of them taking a chance with each other? Feelings and emotions are felt by both. What does the future hold for them? Will they find happiness and love with each other? Read this book to find out. Savannah and Preston are well-developed characters that I grew to care about with each chapter that I read. I couldn’t help but want them to find happiness. I also enjoyed reading about the secondary characters that are introduced. Many of them are supportive of Preston and Savannah. There are some moments in this story that will have the temperature in the room rising. This is a book that has times when there is anger or sadness and other times that warm your heart. I highly recommend reading it.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An Appointment (Summer in New York Book 4) by Lindsay Marie Miller is about two people who are so broken and hurt by their past, that they have sworn off ever finding love again. I really enjoyed the story but I wanted to smack the main characters, for people so smart, they were sometimes so immature. When neither of them were looking, they found love and it is a soul mate love but can they actually get their act together and just be together? Emotions run really high in this story and at times it will tug on those heart strings.

Savannah is sweet and beautiful but she can’t see it after being so worn down by her jerk of an ex-husband. The one thing that has kept her sane is her son. However when she meets a handsome Dr her life changes forever.

Preston has sworn off woman for life but when a certain beauty walks into his office he can’t get her out of his mind. This one hot and sexy Dr longs to be a father but finding the one woman who will accept him for who he his and his faults has left him feeling vulnerable.

An Appointment (Summer in New York #4) by Lindsay Marie Miller
5 out of 5 stars

An Appointment is the fourth book in the Summer in New York series written by Lindsay Marie Miller and I have read all four book in this series and they just get better with each book. The characters are amazing. The plot of two broken people with horrible exe’s and how they find each other and heal each other; and the description of the Hamptons and the pier in NY was great.

Savannah’s life hasn’t turned out the way she planned. Her marriage has failed and she is left alone to raise her son. Her ex-husband moved on as soon as the divorce was final. She thinks all she needs to keep her happy is her son Tre but you could tell she wasn’t happy.
One day she takes Tre to the doctor’s and when the doctor walks in, he isn’t the 70 year old doctor but his son Preston or as Tre calls him Dr. Cole. He may be a hot sexy doctor who loves kids and is single but she’s not taking a chance with her heart again.
Preston hasn’t had the best years of his life either. His wife left him for a plastic surgeon after he couldn’t give her what she wanted. On top of all that thanks to her hefty spending, now he has a quarter million dollars of debt. So much for true love.
So when Savannah walks into his office with her son, holy hell, he wants to get to know her.  He doesn’t care that she is feisty and stubborn, he likes a good challenge.
Will Preston wear Savannah down? Can they overcome the betrayal of their exes to move forward? You will have to read this story to find out.
I highly recommend this book/series…

Ok, this is my favorite of the series by far!! I really love this book and enjoyed the story, from beginning to end!! If you’re a sucker for …a sweet and heartwarming romance story, this one’s for you!! But don’t worry, this book can be read as a stand-alone. But you’ll want to read the previous books too, trust me on that !!
Bailey and Carter are more alike than they even realize. They both seem to think they aren’t good enough for one another. And they each have deep and damaging scars from their past. But together, they are a force to be reckoned with!!
Now, I can identify with each Bailey and Carter’s characters. But I did feel a more of a connection with Bailey. She is the strong and quiet type, like myself. We don’t realize how strong we truly are!! I love her!! And Carter… he is persistent and doesn’t give up on what he wants.. ever !! No matter how hard things get, he doesn’t give up!!
I hope to hear from this amazing couple again!! Another wonderful job, Lindsay! I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next !!

An Agreement (Summer in New York Book 3) by Lindsay Marie Miller is a sweet contemporary romance story. Lindsay has done a fantastic job and I fell in love with the characters from the very first page of the first book. The story is told from a duel POV which gives the story much more depth and perspective in to who the characters are. It is a heartwarming and beautiful story that is also sad and compelling. There is so much pain and suffering, secrets and loss that will keep you glued to each and every page. The raw emotions in this captivating story broke my heart at times and I could not stop the tears.   Bailey just wants to be loved, to find that one person she is supposed to be with the rest of your life but building her business never left much room for men. So desperate times call for desperate measures and what she finds is much more than she bargained for.

Carter has been living with his own demons but when a beautiful mix up comes into his life he doesn’t know what he should do.

I am looking forward to what comes next.

Bailey is still single at twenty five. Not the future she had in mind. If only she understood men. How they think. What they want. So far, online dating is a bust. Until her new friend Carter agrees to help me. He’s rugged and sexy in a brooding kind of way. Too be bad he’s got her in the friend zone. Because the only man she want’s is him.
From the moment they met, Carter can’t stop thinking about her. She’s everything any man would dream of having. But she’ll never be his. He is broken and lost. He’s not good enough for her. An Agreement (Summer in New York, #3)An Agreement by Lindsay Marie Miller
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An Agreement is the third book in the Summer in New York series. It can be read as a standalone.

An Agreement is an emotional story and I found myself tearing up several times. The romance part of it is not graphic in nature and it seemed to me that the focus was on the challenging parts of relationships. I think that is what made the story more real. An Agreement really puts emphasis on the way that the things we’ve experienced in our life can influence the way we interpret and respond to different aspects of relationships. Even though the synopsis of the book clearly states a HEA, there are several times when reading the story that you still wonder if they will make it.

This book was an easy read and I finished in one day. One suggestion I would make is not to read it in public if you are sensitive, because you might cry. Try explaining that to the people sitting around you in the coffee shop, lol. I almost had to. Also, this book does deal with some sensitive subject matter, although not in explicit detail.

The ‘Summer in New York’ series just keeps getting better and better! I have been reading Lindsay Marie Miller’s work for a while now, but if you haven’t you could easily pick up any of these and read them as standalone novels. I would just recommend reading them all because they are equally great so why not? I do have to say this installment wasn’t my absolute favorite of the series so far though, so that is why I marked at four stars. Just a personal thing. I didn’t connect as much to the MC’s and found myself struggling to get into the storyline a bit till the latter half of the novel. Otherwise the story was gripping and adorable. The perfect afternoon read!

“An Agreement” brings us the story of Bailey and Carter. A sweet and perfect friends to lover’s story. Bailey is successful at running her own clothing boutique. She is also pretty good at designing them too when she gets a chance. Clothes that is what she is good at. Not men. She wants to be though. She looks to Carter to help her with that and an ‘agreement’ is made to show her all the ways of the man. But what happens when Mr. Right is right in front of you? Even if it is just your “friend?”

An Agreement, Summer in New York Book 3 by Lindsay Marie Miller
4 out of 5 stars

Lindsay Marie Miller is a fantastic author. This third installment in the Summer in New York Series is a fantastic book. Ms Miller has the singular ability to create two separate individuals within the confines of the covers of a book and submerge them and the reader into a world into a world that is detailed and amazing! Bailey has found herself single at the ripe old age of twenty-five but refusing to stay single for much longer, she reaches out to her friend Carter to find out exactly what she is missing in obtaining the perfect man for her..even though she knows the perfect man for her is Carter.

Carter thinks he is a broken man. On the inside and out. Bailey is too good of a person and has too sweet of a soul to love someone like him. So he does the next best thing, he does everything in his power to make sure she finds her white knight..even if that isn’t him.

This sweet romance has some series chemistry to it and the secrets come out that they are hiding from each other…some serious sparks fly. I found myself laughing at a few mishaps and at others I was frustrated at the OBVIOUS sexual tensions, but alas, with age comes wisdom..and when you are only twenty-five, you seem to miss what is right in front of your face. Highly recommended.

An Agreement was a good 4 star read and book three in the Summer in New York series.

Bailey is a 25 year old with her own clothing store that is finally starting to go in the right direction. She has always had the fairy tale dream of the right man coming along. When her brothers talk her into trying online dating she ends up with a date, there is a slight mixup and she ends up meeting Carter.

Carter meets Bailey when she comes to his restaurant, there was something about her that pulled him in. When fate steps in he finds himself having lunch with Bailey and his sister. Carter just isn’t looking for anything right now due to his past but he agrees to help Bailey understand men better. The more he helps Bailey the more complicated things start to get. Can they really keep things at a friends level?

I really liked Bailey, she was a very sensitive woman looking for, the one. Carter pulled at my heartstrings also, the chemistry that these two had was great. My emotions were all over the place with this read. The secondary characters were good. It took a little bit for me to get pulled in at first but once I was, I couldn’t stop until I was done. I was once again pulled in by this authors writing, This can be read as a stand alone. I can’t wait to read more from this series.

An Agreement is about getting a second chance at love and life. Even if you don’t think you deserve it, or your not good enough, all the negative thoughts, fears, doubts and blame for past experiences. The main characters Bailey and Carter each have a difficult past and secrets they aren’t sure they want to come out but eventually they all come out and every time they take one step forward it’s three more steps back. The story An Agreement (Summer in New York Book 3) by Lindsay Marie Miller is a new adult/romance book. It is a story that hooked me in from the beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. It is part of a series that I have loved since reading the first book. I loved reading about the characters of Bailey and Carter. Bailey is a woman who has her own clothing boutique and also sometimes designs her own clothes. She is talented, hard-working, and successful. She is also looking for Mr. Right. Could Carter be him? Carter believes he is a broken man. Although he thinks about her constantly, he tells himself that he is not good for her. These two enter into an agreement in which Carter will help Bailey understand men. These two are attracted to each other. Bailey does have insecurities and doesn’t believe that someone like Carter would want someone like her. Friends are all these two will ever be, right? There is a chemistry between them. What does the future hold for Bailey and Carter? Will they finally get out of the friend zone and find happiness together? Will they get an HEA? Read this book to find out. Bailey and Carter are two characters that I grew to love with each chapter that I read. They are characters that I could empathize with and also root for. I also enjoyed the additional characters that are in the story. Many of them have been brought forward from other books in the series. Others are new. I enjoyed reading about the parts that they play in the book and their interactions with Bailey and Carter. This story is also one that had my emotions going up and down the entire time that I read it. There are times that are heartbreaking and also times that are heartwarming. A wonderfully written story with amazing characters. Highly recommended book and series.

BAILEY – Still single at twenty five. Not the future I had in mind.

If only I understood men. How they think. What they want.

So far, online dating is a bust. Until my new friend Carter agrees to help me.

He’s rugged and sexy in a brooding kind of way. Too be bad he’s got me in the friend zone.

Because the only man I want is him…

CARTER – From the moment we meet, I can’t stop thinking about her.

She’s everything any man would dream of having. But she’ll never be mine.

I’m broken and lost. I’m not good enough for her. No man is.

That’s why I’m breaking guy code and spilling all of our secrets.

So she won’t be subject to the manipulative ways of men.

Because Bailey deserves her knight in shining armor. Even if he’s not me…

AN AGREEMENT is a heartwarming standalone romance about what happens when a lonely entrepreneur meets a billionaire’s daughter. This is the third book in the Summer in New York series, which each feature a brand new couple who fall head over heels in the big apple.
