Wild Bastard: A Dark Sparrow Novel by India Kells this book is the third in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. It was great getting to read about these characters. With their history it really felt like you were getting to see a whole new level from this series. The fact that the MC’s already had history was interesting. It meant when they met again their connection was already forged and it was instantly relatable. It felt like it took less time to get to know them. India Kells always seems to know how to write a good story and this one has been no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and can’t wait to read more from this author.

Manda Mellett just continues to write these Satan’s Devils MC stories. They never disappoint. I was at the edge of my seat, before the first chapter ended. I love how she kept the story going. Bringing more seriousness to her rollercoaster suspense. I also enjoy meeting her characters. Violet and Demon have a great love, hate relationship. I only say that because they are both fighting themselves and their feelings. I can’t wait to read the next story in this series.

The Vampire Queen is the third book in the Wheel of Crowns Series by Brandi Elledge. It’s a completely riveting, action-packed paranormal fantasy- with vampires, witches, werewolves, psychics, soothsayers, supernatural creatures, magic, fate, missing keys, bloody battles, intensity, drama, changes, discoveries, chemistry, friendship, different factions, hidden agendas, twists, jaw dropping revelations, and so much more. We met Tandi in the previous book, as she is Charlies best friend- and who has only recently been ‘turned’. But she’s not your average fledgling vampire. We discover there is so much more to her, and her new ‘condition’ than we could have ever guessed. And adding Stephen to the mix makes for some spellbinding reading! Stephen is an ancient vampire prince, who looks like he’s only in his early 20’s. He’s powerful, and broody- with a sexy ‘bad-boy’ vibe. He’s taken Tandi under his wing to help her adjust to the vampire world. So, what happens when the vengeful and conniving Queen of Vampires decides she wants Stephen for herself? What about Stephen and Tandi’s quest for one of the missing keys? What happens when feeling become involved? Squeeeee- I really can’t recommend this book/series highly enough. It really deserves to be read!!! This book was so great- it’s funny, emotive, exciting, fast-paced, intense, touching, romantic, and just plain incredible. The story is told from Tandi’s perspective, which I loved- but I really wanted to hear Stephens take on it all, too- that would have taken the story to a whole new level. As would exploring Tandi and Stephen’s chemistry in greater detail!! All the characters are superb- so cleverly crafted and all adding their own mark on the story. Tandi is definitely my spirit animal- I just loved her. Stephen is definitely book boyfriend material- sigh. And Tracker really stole the show- he really cracked me up! As I have said numerous times now, Ms. Elledge is a gifted storyteller, excelling at original, and intricately detailed world building- easily bringing her stories to life. Sheer brilliance!!! Without a doubt, one of my favourite series, ever!! And, I seriously CAN NOT WAIT FOR MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Problematic Love is the eighth book in the Rogue Series by Lara Ward Cosio. The Rogue books are part of a really great Rockstar romance series. These are not your ‘typical’ Rockstar romance stories, there is so much more going on in each book. They are not hearts and flowers romances- as the books delve much deeper, and are somewhat raw and gritty stories that will work their way under your skin. If you haven’t read the rest of the series, you are seriously missing out. This book needs to be read as part of the series, as there are relevant details and important information contained in previous books which you will need to know in order to fully appreciate what this book has to offer. At the very least, you will need to have read ‘Looking For Trouble’ (Book #5), and ‘Felicity Found’ (Book #6)- as this is the continuation of Danny-boy and Amelia’s story. Their relationship hasn’t been a bed of roses, as addiction isn’t something that will let you just walk away, never to be heard of again- and loving an (ex) addict isn’t always easy. So, there are struggles, obstacles, and turmoil to deal with- and we witness all the emotionally charged, and sometimes unsettling details and revelations. As with the other books in the series, this took me on an emotional journey full of all the highs and lows I have come to expect from Ms. Ward-Cosio. This is ‘life’ in its truest form, and Ms. Ward-Cosio didn’t shy away from giving us a warts-and-all experience. There were scenes that made my heart ache, and there were quite a few tears along the way. Having the characters from the previous books make appearances in this story was great, I love their connection- and it was like revisiting old friends- and I loved catching up with them too. I am really looking forward to Ms. Ward Cosio’s next book!

Misfortune of Vision is the fourth book in the Druid’s Brooch Series by Christy Nicholas. This is a historical fantasy- with prophecy, religion (Christianity vs Druidism) adventure, magic, drama, mystery, aging, challenges, folklore, and fantastic world building. I have said it before, and I will keep saying it over and over again- I really love the attention to detail and vividly descriptive storytelling that Ms. Nicholas excels at- it brings her stories to life and makes them very realistic, believable, and entirely immersive. As with the other books in this series that I have read, this is really well written, intriguing, and engaging. The story pulled me in and kept my attention right from the beginning. The character/s are complex, fully realised individuals who were cleverly crafted. The story was given an extra element of interest by making the main character Orlagh quite old. Her “life experience” was immediately recognisable and gave her a realistic and relatable quality, even by today’s standards. Things like struggling with daily tasks, getting tired easily, having to rely on others for help, how her body has changed as she has gotten older, experiencing the loss of family and friends who have passed on before her, and feeling her mortality as she acknowledges that her remaining time is limited- are all things we still deal with I our modern world. I found it difficult to connect with Declan though, and I’m not entirely sure we were meant to? I haven’t read the books in this series in sequence- instead picking books by random- thankfully each book is able to be read as a standalone- but I have read enough of the series now to see a lot of interconnected details, a thread of sorts that runs through the entire series. I can see a link between books in the series, as we travel through time- and am appreciating the ‘bigger picture’ that is being built. Looking forward to continuing the series!

Misfortune of Vision is the fourth book in the Druid’s Brooch Series. I loved the attention to detail with the characters in this story. Orlagh takes us on an adventure as she seeks out a relative to pass on the brooch to. I enjoy her wit and intelligence as she deals with opposing forces. And poor Declan, he tries so hard to make good decisions. I love the mystery around Clodagh and why she acts the way she does. All-in-all it was a charming adventure with a good mix of drama, romance, mystery, and suspense. Superbly written!

Fates seem to throw them together, but she does not believe in ghosts or want anything to do with them. But supernatural forces may think otherwise. Can Sean help Emily solve the puzzle as to what is going on? Can he get her to believe in what he does or are they destined to be alone?
I really enjoyed this book and it promises to be a great, exciting series. Sean was actually my favorite character in this book, mostly because he can communicate with ghosts. I would love to see more of him using his abilities in future books. All of the characters are great though — they feel very real. And the story itself is good too. It was unlike what I was expecting and that is a good thing. I like to be surprised by what I’m reading.
If you like your romance with suspense and a supernatural twist, this book is for you.

A great read about love. Elizabeth goes to the doctor, Alex Manning for an appointment but gets more than she bargained for when she sees him drinking her blood. She puts it out of her mind and carries on with her life. But she soon meets up with the doctor and attraction blossoms between them. As they follow this up into dating, events from his past threaten his future. Can Alex pursue this relationship and keep his true nature from coming out? A great read. Well developed plot. Well developed characters like Alex torn between love and duty or Elizabeth trying to raise her child by herself. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the doctors with its white walls and bright lights full of people. Or the city itself with its traffic and busy roads full of life and people and noise for a sense of vibrant life contrasting with Alex’s empty house full of silence and books perfectly written. The mix of realism with the school bus and the fantasy of vampires combined well to make a captivating read. A good addition to the vampire genre with the powers and venom and bloodlust, in these fantasy creatures with their own rules and politics and societies and laws coexisting with those of humanity. The switch between perspectives worked well to display bot sides of the narrative, but was sometimes unclear who held the narrative with only pronouns to go on. By adding names in chapter titles, this would make it clearer to the reader. There were also long sentences that were hard to read which could be reduced by a variety of sentence lengths.to engage the reader. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Does this author never take a break? I loved this book. I say this with each one but she’s got such talent! I already was looking forward to reading about Demon, especially after the bomb that got dropped in book 1 of this series. This book has it all, and we get to see our old favorites from the original series, but they aren’t needed to read this book, but I highly recommend them as they are absolutely amazing reads. Demon is the club president and can have any woman he wants, whenever he wants and sees no reason to settle down, we all know the type and what happens to that way of thinking lol. But it was done well as the characters left the past thinking for future thinking. And Violet, she was so strong and just what this story and clubhouse needed at this time and place they’re in. I cannot wait for more from this series, but I just want to know who it will be about! My mind is racing and ill be patiently waiting for the next read.

I love, love, LOVED this story!! This isn’t the first book that I have read by this author and I absolutely love her writing. Her stories are always exciting to read and always have that spicy romance to them and Wild Bastard was no exception. From beginning to end I was completely hooked on the story and I fell in love with the characters straight away. Isabel was a great female lead – she was strong, independent with a great stubborn side to her! She was my perfect leading lady! I loved Kai as well and I thought that he and Isabel were great together! I really loved finally getting to read their story! It was everything I wanted and more! I love a second chance romance story and I really was rooting for these two the whole way through! If you haven’t read any of the books in this series then I highly recommend reading them however this one could be enjoyed as a standalone also. I cannot wait to read more from Ms Kells in the future she is a wonderful author and I love reading her work. @katiem

The Queen of Witches is the second book in the Wheel of Crown Series and i liked it even more than i liked the first one. I couldn’t put this one down and before i knew it i was all the way through it. There was a lot of things happening in this book and i am happy to be just reading about the crazy things they’re dealing with instead of actually being there. I enjoyed the characters in this book so much and we got to see a few characters that were in the previous book and i enjoyed that a lot. I am looking forward to reading book 3 in this series and i would recommend this to a friend!

The Werewolf Queen is the first book in the Wheel of Crowns Series and its the first book that i have read by this author. I couldn’t put this one down, i devoured it and didn’t want it to end. I loved this book. Silvio continues her series with another witty, fun romp through Vegas that stands alone easily but is most appreciated if read in series order. Silvio has a unique perspective and provides a clear voice to her characters. I loved Mia and Jacob and reading their story in the context of this series universe. A fun read and one I highly recommend.

Minx is my first experience with Maggie Adams’ writing but likely not my last. This was a rather short book but it wasn’t short on laughs or keeping my interest. I was completely interested in this story when I read the funny, light hearted synopsis and I’m pleased to say the book roped me in just as quickly. If you’re looking for a fast read that is humorous and relatable, give Minx a go.
Tainted Saint: (A Hawke Family Story) (The Hawke Family Book 5) by Gwyn McNamee is one story I have been waiting for, Caroline’s story. I have said it before but I will say it again, Gwyn is an amazing writer and and I always know I am in safe hands when I read one of her books. As usual I devoured this story in one sitting. It is a quick and easy read but I wished there was more.
Caroline, hid behind the mask and decided to let her inhibitions out for one glorious night with the man she thought didn’t even know she was alive.
Saint has loved her since the very first time he saw her, but he is not good enough for her. One night is all he wants until he tastes her and then he knew he had to make her his.
Gwyn is definitely a go to whenever a new story comes along. I can’t wait to read Luca’s story.

Run to the Sea (Reigning Hearts Book 1) by K.G. Fletcher is a wonderful story about second chances. It is an emotional but heartwarming read and well written with characters that are sweet and lovable, sexy and each a little broken. I enjoy K.G.’s stories and this is no exception. It is a book that I was unable to put it down, I devoured it in one sitting because I had to know what was coming. The story complex and multi layered and yet totally simplistic and sizzling and sweet, sexy and tender.
Emeline was startled to see the man in front of her, her childhood best friend was just a boy when left. Seeing him now dredges up so many memories.
Thomas has lost himself and now he is back in the one place he once loved so much, a place that may soothe his soul. What he finds and finally realises is something he should have known.
I know you will love this sweet tale as much as I did. I am waiting to see what comes next from K. G.

Heels Of Fortune is exciting, witty, hilarious, and mysterious. Once again this author easily pulled me into her novel with amazing main character PJ Santini. I love her personality and her inner dialogue. I literally was laughing out loud and may have also laughed myself off the bed. Her interaction with other characters in the novel easily pull you in. I could not put this novel down. I love the fun mystery the author puts in her novel. I do believe that I enjoyed this novel more than Hell On Heels. I highly recommend this to other readers.

Isabelle is introduced to the Bastards and chosen for her particular ability, to help them bring down a monster. What she did not expect was a part of her past to show and have all her secrets revealed.
Kai is torn between bringing down the man who destroys everything, to the one woman who can bring him to his knees.

Death and the Crone: Book Three of the Lucky Devil Series by Megan Mackie. I really enjoyed the first two books in this series and was so excited to see Elias get his story. The characters are well developed and the story idea was intriguing but for me, it did not hold the promise I expected it to be. I wanted more, something a little more explosive, a little more of the story reaching out and really gripping me and making me part of the story.
Margaret is a grumpy and grouchy old woman and I know she had a tough life but I could not fully engage with her. I did feel for her and the evil that had attached to her and created such a sad soul.
Elias going after a much older woman makes you wonder what is going on but as the story continues you understand what he has always seen in Margaret and what she becomes.
Even though I had higher expectations does not mean the story was not well written and a good story. I know that anyone that enjoys fantasy and a little mystic and magic will enjoy it.

The Queen of Witches (Wheel of Crowns Book 2) by Brandi Elledge is another great story in this series and I absolutely have fallen in love with. I love the paranormal fantasy world Brandi has created and am drawn to the struggles and triumphs these wonderful characters are faced with. I love the humour that makes me laugh out loud, the mystery of not knowing what is coming next and the faith these paranormal creatures have in themselves and those that mean something. This is one action packed and enthralling read that will have you riveted to your seat. The only thing that could make the story better is if it was told in the male POV as well, which we all know is something I love.
Charlie lost her parents and her brother has taken over the role of parent but he is not around much as he makes his own life but she learns that her parents and her brother are not what they seemed. Now she is faced with being able to do strange things and two strangers to town mean she is a major player in the war. Witches and warlocks, werewolves and vampires, demons and many other creatures fight to the death to find the keys.
Brandi has sealed her place as another Author on my must have in my life with this series. Make sure you read them in order and sit back and enjoy the thrilling ride that will have you enthralled.

Temptation and Seduction by L.M. Mountford is a collection of short stories. They each feature a mix of plot lines and characters. Overall this was an well connected set of stories to combine, but as I was reading through the stories I felt there was something missing that needed to be added to give the story a bit more intrigue, uniqueness and depth. The stories came across as flat at times, while entertaining in other ways. As mentioned, it was a good collection and would do well as a read to whet your appetite. The stories do lead into full length stories, not included. This is a good sampler to get a feel for the author and their writing style. Pleasant characters with some heated scenes for those that enjoy a bit more fire to their reads.

Death and the Crone: Book Three of the Lucky Devil Series by Megan Mackie fantasy novel with a romantic undertone. Following the previous books in the Lucky Devil Series, the author weaves the reader in a different direction but with some of the mythical elements that have been seen in the other novels. Margaret is a feisty woman, yet she has flaws that shine. Yet, there is something about her character that calls to you in a way to see what is ahead for her. Elias is more than he seems and the mystery around him is intriguing and captivating. Each book in this series is well written with fabulous characters that are unique along with a story line that is unpredictable. Megan Mackie is creative in her writing which is a wonderful dynamic of a talented author.

Run to the Sea by K.G. Fletcher was this wonderful second chance romance about two childhood friends. Thomas “Cappy” Capshaw and Emeline “Em” Fischer spent every summer together before Cappy left for college. After year apart, Cappy has returned to Sanderville Beach to close up his grandfather’s gallery, what he didn’t expect to run into Em after all this time. Will Em forgive Cappy for never keeping in touch and why does Em feel like home more than New York?
Cappy and Em story pulled at all the right heartstring for me. I loved that even after his death Lawrence Capshaw was playing matchmaker with these two. I really wanted to hate Fiona but I ended up feeling sorry for her and looking forward to a book for her to get a HEA. Just like Kelly’s last series, she hooked me from the first chapter and has me wanting more of these characters.

Wild Bastard: A Dark Sparrow Novel by India Kells 5 stars
Kai! Ive been waiting for his book and we finally got it. This was much deeper for me as they had a lot of past issues to go through and come to terms with, alongside the big danger of the story. I didn’t see Izzy’s past coming at all, but what a surprise it was. These two, fought so hard and worked through it, it made it feel more realistic in my eyes instead of brushing it all under the rug and moving forward. I can’t wait for more as so much happened and we were left with lots of ways we could go!

Problematic Love by Lara Ward Cosio is the eighth book in the Rogue Series and I hope not the last. I love this group and after eight books I feel like I have a real connection with them even if I’m not married to a rock star.
This is the book about Danny Boy and I’m so glad he got to tell his story to me. Danny Boy has been a drug addict since he was a teenager and quite honestly lucky to be alive and thankfully clean.
He does so much growing up in this book and it makes my heart happy. He deserves all the happiness the world can bestow on him and Amelia helps with that and shows him so much about himself.
As much as the romance between Danny Boy and Amelia is the story, I think this is one that has more than one important storyline. I loved this book and as much as I loved the others in this series I think this is my favorite. Something about Danny Boy that just wrapped around my heart.

Winging It by Lisa Gail Green is the first book in the Destiny Rules series. This book lives up to every expectation I had when I started reading it and it was so so enjoyable. Zach is such a good character. He is fun and entertaining and yet there is more to him. It really felt like he has a depth to him that a lot of stories like this lack. It well and truly felt like it was his story. The overall story was thoroughly enjoyable. It had s little bit of everything and was an easy page turner. This is the kind of book that you read in one sitting easily! I am looking forward to book 2.

Secure Desire: A Chase Group Story by R.L. Dunn. I love books by R.L. Dunn. She is an amazing author and her books come to life. This is the story of Ex Navy Seal Ian Chase who is now a successful Private Security Guard and FBI Agent Cassiopeia (Cassie) Ellis who met several years ago but Cassie was unavailable because she’s engaged. Sparks flew and when they meet 6 years later sparks are still flying. Chase talks Cassie into going out with him and even though Cassie is single she is not able to emotionally or physically be in a relationship now. Cassie has had a lot of tragedies in her life and she is still dealing with that. When Cassie’s life is at stake because of her past Ian will do all he can to protect her but he will find out what’s she hiding if he’s going to save her. Once again i was blown away by this novel i loved every single second. While reading the nicel i was able to visualise everything down to the landmarks that were described, love nothing more while reading a novel when I’m able to feel like I’m there along sids the character’s it’s an amazing experience. I love the historic magic theme running through this story which shocks me as its not my usual cup of tea but this storyline just drew me in and couldn’t pull my eyes away!

Misfortune of Vision (Druids Brooch Series) By Christy Nicholas 4 Stars!!!!
I really haven’t read this series in order but that hasn’t effected my enjoyment of it. I find this author to be quite refreshing. I really do enjoy stepping out of my comfort genre. I really enjoy being amerced in the Irish days of old.
I enjoyed getting to have more of a glimpse into Orlagh’s life again. I found that the drama as it unfolded to keep me glued to the pages. I really found myself empathizing with Declan as the story began. I really was glad that Orlagh wasn’t alone and that her grandson was still alive. I found that as the story progressed that the drama was just enough and the flow of the book made it so I just couldn’t put it down. I look forward to reading more from this author and more from this series.
