Surviving Jordan (Surviving Series, book 3) by Virginia Wine – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Surviving Jordan (Surviving Series Book 3)Surviving Jordan by Virginia Wine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Surviving Jordan by Virginia Wine is the third and final book in her Surviving series and I could not get enough of this book. Falling under the romantic suspense genre, this book easily pulls you under it’s spell and doesn’t let go from beginning to end. Following the story of Benjamin Stone and Jordan Mitchell, the passion that brought these two together was palpable through my e-reader and made from some very steamy scenes. Benjamin, even though he can feel the pull to Jordan, he had to keep himself distanced from her. His emotions run too hard and fast for a women who he knows that he can’t have. Jordan on the other hand wants to cross every line to get to Benjamin, and be damn the rules. She can’t keep her mind or her hands off of him, and is willing to do anything to get him to break for her. Can these two find a way to get their happiness or will they have to be separated by those around them? Wine is a newer to me author, having only found her from this series and boy am I happy that I found her! If you are looking for a great author that will pull you into her writing style and in depth characters than this is an author, and series, that you need to pick up straight away. This book is a must read for all of my friends!

The Something Series – Box Set Books 1-3: Ask Me Something, Tell Me Something and Bet Me Something by Audrey Bondurant – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

The Something Series - Box Set Books 1-3: (Tell Me Something, Ask Me Something & Bet Me Something)The Something Series – Box Set Books 1-3: by Aubrey Bondurant
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Something Series by Audrey Bondurant is a great set of stories that will pull you in from page one and keep you enthralled throughout each book. Each book focuses on two characters, and how the attraction and chemistry builds and grows throughout the pages. The feelings between each couple are undeniable and I found myself falling for each of them while reading. The characters all were created equally and deeply connected throughout each book, so I highly recommend reading all the books in order from this fantastic series. If you are looking for a great series by an author that will keep you enthralled from book to book than this is a series you need to add to your TBR pile. I can’t wait for Bondurant to bring even more books to her devoted readers.

Surviving the Storm (Surviving Series, book 2) by Virginia Wine – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Surviving the Storm (Surviving Series Book 2)Surviving the Storm by Virginia Wine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Surviving the Storm by Virginia Wine is the second book in her Surviving Series and it just keeps getting better and better. Following the story of Alexander Kincaid Storm III and Madison Perry and it easily got me lost in the pages. Full of mystery and suspense this contemporary romance will keep you on your toes from beginning to end. From the beginning of their love story, the chemistry is off the charts and the passion between them could short circuit your readers. Madison is the classic unavailable gal, but Alexander’s feelings for her are too strong to deny. The pull between them in undeniable, and yet the future between these two could be uncertain. Can something that burns so hot and fast be something that lasts forever? Wine is a newer to me author, having only found her with this series but I am so glad I picked this one up. The characters are full of emotions, there was steam and mystery and just enough heartbreak to make for a great book. If you are looking for a great series by an author that will pull you in from the beginning and never let go. I can’t wait to see where this series goes in the future. This is a definite must for anyone looking for great steamy romance and mysterious love stories.

A Frothy Christmas Kiss (Christmas Kiss Series, book 4) by Allyson R. Abbott – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

A Frothy Christmas KissA Frothy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Frothy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is the fourth book in her Christmas Kiss series and it just couldn’t get any better than this. Following the story of Kat and Dan, and their mutual love of coffee, I feel right into this story and loved every minute of it. When Kat finds this great kitschy little coffee shop she feels right at home, especially once she meets to handsome owner of said coffee shop. The immediate attraction and connection leads to allot of flirtatious moves and an undeniable pull toward each other. When she learns that Dan has baggage at home, she will have to be willing to take a leap of faith on her feelings for Dan in order to see if this relationship is going to be worth it. Dan wants to make things work with Kat, but he needs to be friends with her first because of his home life. As soon as Kat starts to work at the coffee shop, Dan finds its harder and harder to stay away from her. When her past comes blowing into the shop in the form of her ex it will take Dan aback but will make him have to push his feelings to the limit if he wants to win the girl. Will this Christmas season be the last that either of them has to be alone or will they be better as friends with a mutual love of coffee? Abbott is swiftly becoming a favorite author of mine to read, as this series has really pulled me into the Christmas spirit. While each of this series can be read as a stand-alone book, I highly recommend picking up the whole series as you won’t be able to stop at just one read. I can’t wait to see what Abbott brings to her readers next!

Souls Collide (Collide Series, book 3) by Kristina Beck – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Souls Collide (Collide Series #3)Souls Collide by Kristina Beck
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Souls Collide by Kristina Beck is the third book in her Collide Series and this one just keeps getting better and better. This suspenseful romance follows the story of Alexa and Kent, that just pulls you in from the first page and you won’t be able to get enough of these two. Alexa is a caring, compassionate woman who is fiercely independent, and yet these is something that draws her to her neighbor Kent. He doesn’t seem to show any emotion or even seem to notice that she is a woman by any means and yet she just can’t stay away. Never one to mince her words, Alexa keeps being her indelibly honest personality until she gets under his skin. Kent has spent his life being a police officer, at the expense of every woman in his life, he can’t give up his love of defending the law and so he stays away from romantic entanglements to spare them from his livelihood. As a man who is barely existing, he comes off as unsympathetic and even churlish at times. Then Alexa walks in the room. The sparks that fly between these two from that first meeting will singe the pages. Conflict is how Kent attempts to keep Alexa at bay, and yet the more time they spend together the more that he finds himself wanting to protect her and keep her all to himself. Can these two find a way to put down their swords and give into the passion that everyone else can see between them? Or will the hurt of their pasts keep them from having the romance of a lifetime? Beck is anew to me author, and I am so happy that I picked up this book. Once I realized that it was part of a series, I did gobble up the other two books in this series. I highly recommend that you read this series in order, even though each book can stand on its own merits. If you are looking to get swept away by great characters and an author who will capture your heart than this is one that you need to get today! I hope that Beck keeps writing because I can’t wait to see what she brings to her readers next.

Beats of the Heart (Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star Series book 1) by Charli B. Rose – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Beats of the HeartBeats of the Heart by Charli B. Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Beats of the Heart by Charli B. Rose is the first book in her new series Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star Series, and wow what a fantastic start! Following the story of Izzy and Dawson, who have been best friends for as long as either of them can remember and yet the feelings between them are deeper than that of friendship lately. When they decide to take the step into lovers from friends, their hearts beat as one. Izzy is Dawson’s muse, she makes all of his musical talents possible. Dawson is the only man who has made Izzy feel the way she does. The chemistry between these two is palpable from between the pages, making for some very steamy reading at times. Everything seems to be going perfectly for these two love birds until the darkness starts to roll in and threaten everything, they have worked so hard to achieve. Will these two be able to work together to make it back towards the light, or will this journey as lovers end with broken hearts and empty promises? Rose is a new to me author, but I am so happy that I picked this book up. From the first page I fell into this story, into the world of Izzy and Dawson, and I couldn’t read this one fast enough to satisfy my need. The banter and chemistry between these characters was very well executed, making for a great read. If you are looking for a book that will make you swoon while pulling you into a perfectly written world than this is the one for you. I can’t wait to see where this series goes next!

Guilty Pleasures Volume 2Guilty Pleasures Volume 2 by Joyce McCarthy
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Guilty Pleasures Volume 2 by Joyce McCarthy is a collection of short stories of the erotica genre that are guaranteed to stoke your fires from beginning to end. Filled with stories exploring lust, chance encounters, dark fantasies, and more this book is more than able to get every readers’ dark side ready to party. Eastern Shore Swingers Box Set (Fisher of Men, The Catch, Siren Call) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Eastern Shore Swingers Books 1-3 (Boxed Set)Eastern Shore Swingers Books 1-3 by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Eastern Shore Swingers Series by Phoebe Alexander is an erotic romance collection and is suggested for readers 18 and above. It is a series of suspense, erotic romance and mystery, and one that will keep you blushing from head to toe while being on the edge of your seat. I highly suggest that this series be read in order, even though each book can stand alone, start reading with Fisher of Men, The Catch and finally Siren Call. Each book is incredibly unique, but they all build on each other. If you are looking for a great series, as well as a fantastic author, this is a series that you need to jump on now.

Fisher of Men

Fisher of Men is part of a new series by Phoebe Alexander called East Shore Swingers, and I was initially drawn to this story because the heroine, Leah, comes from Nebraska which is close to my hometown. The religious background of Leah comes to blows with the lifestyle of our hero Cap, who leads a life full of parties and good times. Leah wants a life with Cap, having put her trust and heart with him, but their lifestyles will have to find a way to mesh to give them both the happy ending they want. I really wanted to like this book more, and I hope that the other books in this series will be better, but I just couldn’t get passed the character Leah and how childish she was about certain things. This is the first book that I have read by Alexander, and I will definitely pick up books of hers in the future but this one just wasn’t a great fit for me

The Catch

The Catch by Phoebe Alexander is the second book in her Eastern Shore Swingers Series and it just keeps getting better and better. Following the story of the secret club for those who like a taste of darkness with their nightlife, and this is where we find our main characters Paisley Parker and Calvin Mitchell. Paisley is new to Ocean City and loves working for the club, but didn’t realize just how much the club awakes something inside of her. There is a confidence booster that comes when she walks into the club, and the stares that she gets from the male patrons just makes her feel even sexier. When Paisley meets a man that is going to want everything from her, her heart and her history, will she be able to resist the temptation to lean on someone other than herself? Calvin is an all-around good guy, business owner, smart and hot as all get out. When he starts to pursue Paisley he isn’t shy about his intensions or about his ability to win over her body to get to her heart. The more that Paisley attempts to push him away the more that he stays with her, determined to get the girl that took his breathe away. When Paisley’s past comes back to get to her, she finds that he turns to Calvin for help and he is willing to risk it all to keep her safe. Is there a future in the cards for these two wounded lovers? Will Calvin be able to prove to Paisley that he is in this for the long haul? Can she trust him enough to fall for him? Alexander really knows how to pack a punch with this book! Her characters and storyline will pull you in from the very beginning and you will find yourself unable to get over these two long after the book ends. While this book can be read as a standalone I totally recommend reading the book in series order, as characters from other books do make cameo appearances. Plus you can never have too many books! I can’t wait to see how this series continues to grow!

Siren Call

Siren Call by Phoebe Alexander is the third book in her Eastern Shore Swingers series and let me just say this series just keeps getting better and better. Following the story of Jessie Martinez and Sirena Home, we are reintroduced to The Factory and all the characters from both Fisher of Men and The Catch (books 1 & 2 of this series) all make appearances. Jessie is a police officer, with a deep love and appreciation for all the uniform stands for. When her friends ask her to keep an eye on the newest swinger to the club, Sirena, Jessie sees no problem with it. But the problem is, the more time that Jessie spends around Sirena the more that she is attracted to her. When passions run high, Jessie and Sirena could be burned up by the flames. Each book in this series were so well written, including deep understanding of each person’s psyche and what drives them in the lifestyle that they are in. Alexander obviously did her research on swingers, made sure to give great details on her characters, the storyline and everything in between. Seeing a FF romance was a great twist, as there aren’t many out there that are this well written. I have had the pleasure of reading this entire series, and I can’t wait to see with Alexander takes this series in the future. If you are looking for a great FF romance, a story about love or even just a story outside of your normal reading this is one that you need to pick up

Surviving Eden (Surviving Series, book 1) by Virginia Wine – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Surviving Eden (Surviving Series Book 1)Surviving Eden by Virginia Wine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Surviving Eden by Virginia Wine is the first book in her new contemporary romance series, Surviving Series. Following the story of Dr. Theodore Grant and Eden, I couldn’t get enough of either of these characters. Dr. Grant, Theo, is a psychiatrist, but more than that he is a man who has never had feelings toward anyone. He just simply exists with no emotional attachments to anyone or thing. That is until he meets Eden. There is something about her that pulls him in from the very beginning. The way that Eden makes him feel is something that he wasn’t prepared for but she brings out the protector in him that he can’t seem to control. Eden is a woman in her own category. She is beautiful, strong willed and intelligent, and yet there is something about Theo that she can’t deny pulls her towards him. The attraction between these two is palpable from the very beginning, and the passion that comes from them is enough to light my e-reader on fire. But the emotions that Eden brings out in Theo are things he isn’t used to, and it makes him uncertain of his path with her. Is there a future for the two of them, together? The mystery, suspense and romance all tied into this story really kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end on this one. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the series has in store for me. Wine is a new to me author, and I am so happy that I picked this series up. If you are looking for a great new author with a storyline that will hook you from the beginning and never let go than this is the one for you. I can’t wait to see where this series goes in the future cause it’ll be a heck of ride to read!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Pink Christmas by Allyson R. Abbott is the third book in her Christmas kiss series and I am so happy that I picked this one up. This holiday romance hooked me from the beginning and kept me enthralled until passed the last page. Following the story of Billie and Leroy, we see Billie leaving her small hometown five years ago. Wanting to spread her wings and experience life, Billie was willing to leave everything behind to make sure that she gets to live her life to the fullest. While she loved Leroy, she needed to see the world, and if Leroy loved her as much as she loved him, he would follow her….right? When Billie comes back home and seeing Leroy again with no contact for so long still enrages her. When Billie and Leroy come face to face again how will she handle him? Will Billie be able to admit that she couldn’t move past her young love or will she have to break her own heart again and walk away? Can Leroy find a way to forgive Billie for running away? Do they have strong enough feelings to make a relationship work? Abbott is a newer to me author, having only found her works with this series but I am so glad I picked it up! I recommend reading this series in order, even though each story can be read as a standalone, getting to see Abbott’s evolution of writing. It Ends Tonight (Bayou Devils MC Book 4)It Ends Tonight by A.M. Myers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It Ends Tonight by A.M. Myers is the fourth book in her Bayou Devils MC Series and I can’t seem to get enough of this one! This story really hooked me from the beginning and didn’t let go until well after the last page was read. Following the story of Lucas Smith and Quinn Dawson, it is a mile a minute. Lucas is a member of the Bayou Devils MC, and they are all like family to him. When Lucas’s family, his blood family, come calling for help the guilt that he carries for them will test the will of his bond of loyalty to them. Will he be able to protect his brother as well as his loyalty to the brothers he rides with? Quinn is a woman to be reckoned with, strong beautiful and independent she isn’t ready for the depth of feelings fro Lucas until the bond between them comes under fire. The closer that they become the more that they realize they can’t think of a reason to stay away from each other. The pasts and secrets between these two may have created a rift at first they have grown so much closer with their romance blooming. As Quinn loses pieces of her heart to Lucas, Lucas will have to find a way to open his heart to Quinn. He knows that he can’t stay away from her but is she ready for the hard life of a Bayou Devils brother? When secrets come to light will they be able to work through it together or will this be the straw that breaks the camels back? Myers is an old favorite of mine. Having read all of the Bayou Devils series prior to this book I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this installment fast enough. This is a book that can be read as a standalone just fine, but the rest of the series is so great and intertwining that you really need to read the whole thing to get the best experience. If you are looking for a steamy series that will keep you up at night and romance that will warm your heart than this is the series for you. I can’t wait to see what comes Myers next! The sooner the better!

A Tangy Christmas KissA Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is the second book in her Christmas Kiss series and what a great follow up this one was! Continuing with the sweet holiday themes this story will show you that Murphy’s law is in full effect for her characters. Following the story of Melanie, she will pull you in from page one and keep you intrigued until the end. From the moment her mother cons her into watching her aunt’s house everything imagine just falls apart in Mel’s life. When she ends up lost and vulnerable will the help of a sexy Spanish stranger be a good thing or another wrong turn? While there is a serious language barrier there is also something more as well. The language between their bodies keeps drawing them toward each other no matter the obstacles. When things look to be heading up for Mel and her mysterious stranger, what will become of them when she gets to her final stop? Will Mel’s fly by the seat of your pants attitude keep him close or will he run like everyone else? Abbott is a new to me author, only having found her with this series, but man am I happy that I picked this one up. Felicity Found (Rogue Series, book 6) by Lara Ward Cosio – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Felicity Found (Rogue Series Book 6)Felicity Found by Lara Ward Cosio
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Felicity Found by Lara Ward Cosio is the sixth installment in her Rogue Series, which is one of the best rock star romance series that I have read in quite a while. Continuing the story of Conor and Felicity, who we first meet in book 2 – Playing at Love – this book really gets allot deeper and grittier than I would have ever imagined. These stories are not for the faint of heart, but for those who can look at the dark sides of relationships and still fall in love with the broken characters for who they truly are. I highly recommend reading the Rogue series in order, not only for the back story and getting to see each couple come together in their own unique voices but because the fullness of the story is that much better to read. I can’t wait to see what Cosio brings to her readers next, but I will definitely be first in line for whatever she does.

Getting the Goods by Elizabeth Perry – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Getting the GoodsGetting the Goods by Elizabeth Perry
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Getting the Goods by Elizabeth Perry is a flawed romantic comedy that will have you swooning and laughing throughout the fables of her main characters. Following the story of Gabriella Martin, who while she is still a young’un at just 29 years old, she is convinced that if she isn’t a mother soon, she never will be. Coming up with a scheme to get knocked up, leads her on a hilarious ride and strangers who will way lay her best laid plans. Meeting the perfect stranger, tall dark and handsome, and the night is full of steamy oohs and ahhs, until the next morning when Gabie splits and doesn’t expect to see this man again having gotten everything she needed from him. But he isn’t too far behind her, because he happens to be her new boss. The ensuing story is full of awkward morning afters, steamy hook ups, and feelings that neither of them were ready for. Will these two be able to make a multiple night stand work for the long haul when a bundle of joy comes along. Perry is a new to me author, but I am so happy that I picked this one up. If you are looking for a great book that will make you laugh, cry and fall in love with each page. I can’t wait to see what else Perry brings to her readers next.

An Agreement (Summer in New York Series, book 3) by Lindsay Marie Miller – Review Ashleigh Harrington

An Agreement (Summer in New York, #3)An Agreement by Lindsay Marie Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An Agreement by Lindsay Marie Miller is the third book in her Summers in New York series, and it just keeps getting better and better. Following the story of Bailey Lewis, who is Benjamin and Clarie’s daughter who you get to meet in book one. A romantic at heart, Bailey dreams of being swept off her feet by her prince charming, but her problem comes from meeting the right man. Add to that, Bailey has been spending all of her time building up her brand and proving herself in the fashion industry, but now she wants more. When her brothers talk her into online dating she goes reluctantly, and then ends up at the wrong table with a guy that is the best kind of wrong. When things start to heat up between Bailey and Carter, she has to wonder if fate had a hand to play in her getting the wrong guy at the right time? Miller is an old favorite of mine, having read several of her books in the past, as well as the first two books in this series, I couldn’t wait to read this one. I highly recommend this book to be read after books one and two, just to get the full effect of the series. This book was just great to read, and I couldn’t get into it fast enough. If you are looking for a great author Miller is one that you need to add to your collection and get this series pronto!

The Killmore’s (Killmore Series, book 2) by Martha Sweeney – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

The Killmores (Killmore #2)The Killmores by Martha Sweeney
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Killmores by Martha Sweeney is the second book in her Killmore series, thrilling her readers with more mystery and who dunit catchiness. The continuation will keep you enthralled from page one and keep you on the edge of your seat until well after the last page. Continuing the story of Laurie and Aiden, they are beyond larger than life in this story. Laurie is definitely a stubborn woman who is also very sarcastic, both of these traits are offset by her paranoia, but it is understandable. Having lived through the terror of book one has given her right to be paranoid that something like that will happen again. Aiden on the other hand, only wants to help Laurie cope with all the demons that haunt her past. Aiden is quite protective of her, wanting to give her all of his love. But as the nightmares take over her life, will Aiden and his love be enough to save her? The chemistry between Laurie and Aiden is palpable from across the room, between making each other laugh as much as cry and smile really made this story come to life. Sweeney is a newer to me author, having only found her works with the Killmore series. But I am so happy that I picked this one up. I highly recommend reading book one first, otherwise many of the interactions and characters that were present in book two will not make as much sense. I can’t wait to see what Sweeney will bring to her readers next!

A Must for Christmas: A Darling Cove NovellaA Must for Christmas: A Darling Cove Novella by Deborah Garland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Must for Christmas by Deborah Garland is a holiday romance novella that really gets you into the Christmas spirit. From beginning to end this book really puts you into the Christmas spirit with warming your heart and curling your toes from passion. Following the story of Faith and Greg Mallory, who are stars of the Darling Cove series. Being a novella, we only get to see a small snippet of their story, which this portion of their story is a pretty special moment to witness. Becoming parents and having a family Christmas, make things almost too good to be true. Stress and worry can make for a difficult pregnancy, and the issues that almost pulled these two love birds apart. When early labor happens for Faith, Greg is right there with her through it all. Will these two get the perfect family moment on Christmas? Getting to see this side of the Mallory story really allowed me to connect with these characters one more time. Also getting to revisit the Darling Cove couples, as well as new secondary characters made this a great quickie read to get you in the holiday spirit. If you are looking for a great series, from a fantastic author, this is definitely one that you want to add to your reading list!

Killmore (Killmore Series book 1) by Martha Sweeney – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Killmore (Killmore #1)Killmore by Martha Sweeney
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Killmore by Martha Sweeney is the first book in her new series, Killmore. Categorized as a romantic suspense book I fell hard for this book and couldn’t bring myself to put it down until the very end. Getting to see a strong female lead character who also happens to be beautiful and complex really made this a great read. Antonio Herrera is sarcastic, snarky, realistic, ruthless, and best of all protected by the Feds. The Feds are more than willing to look the other way about her dealings with drugs and human trafficking as long as she is willing to play ball with them. But Antonio has always had a hard time trusting those around her when it comes to her business dealings. While the Feds offer sounds good, is it too good to be true? Will she be able to keep those around her safe? How much danger is Antonio in with the Feds? Sweeney is a new to me author, but I am so happy that I picked this story up. The banter between the characters, will leave you smiling and fall out laughing at their antics. The steam in this book will curl your toes and blush your cheeks as well. I highly recommend this book to everyone looking for a great story. I can’t wait to see where Sweeney takes her readers in the future with this series.

Elegantly Denim: An Elegant Prelude by Tee Smith is the prequel to her new Elegant Series and what a great start to this series. This is a shorter story, novella length, which made this a quickie read for a rainy day. Following the story of Denim Gargliano, you get a taste of the man behind the family. He is definitely an enigma, but the more that you get to read into his story the more that his façade is all for the reputation and not a true depiction of the man himself. While this was just a taste of a story I can’t wait to read more of Denim. Smith is a new to me author, but I am glad that I picked this story up. I can’t wait to see where this series goes in the future as this story really wet my appetite for more of her writing style.

Across from You by Amabel Daniels – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Across From YouAcross From You by Amabel Daniels
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Across from You by Amabel Daniels is a standalone romantic comedy that I fell in love with from the first page. Following Lexi Regan and Jack O’Connor, you will find yourself smiling and feeling your heart strings being tugged. Lexi is a woman that has been publicly shamed, more than once, and is attempting to hid from the world while she licks her wounds. While she has sworn off men, there is something about Jack that keeps her coming back for him. Jack is at the point in his life where he is looking for love, and willing to do whatever it takes to make Lexi see how good they are together. From the first moment that he met her, he knew that she was the one for him. The banter back and forth between Jack and Lexi really was quite refreshing, making me laugh out loud more than once. The chemistry and shenanigans that these two found themselves in made this story such a treat to read. After everything that happened to Lexi in her past it is going to take Jack everything that he has to get Lexi to trust in his feelings for her. Will he succeed? Will Lexi be willing to trust another man with her heart when she was hurt so badly in the past? Daniels is a newer to me author, having only read one other book of hers in the past, but I am so glad that I picked this one up. If you are looking for a great romance novel that will take your breath away and keep you roped in from beginning to end than this is one that you need to add to your TBR now! I can’t wait to see what is next for Daniels’ readers, cause I am sure it will be great!

Imperfect Heart (Combat Hearts Book 4)Imperfect Heart by Tarina Deaton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Imperfect Heart by Tarina Deaton is the fourth book in her Combat Series and this series just keeps getting better and better. Following the story of Zoey and Tim, I couldn’t read this book fast enough. These two made me laugh, cry and fall in love with them over and over throughout this book. Having read the other three books in this series, I had high expectations for this installment and Deaton did not let me down in the least. The chemistry between these two from the very beginning was enough to make it so that I couldn’t look away. You could feel the connection between them from page one. If you are looking for a great book, and series, this is one that you need to pick up today!

Sailor’s Knot (Eastern Shore Swingers, #4) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Sailors Knot (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 4)Sailors Knot by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sailor’s Knot by Phoebe Alexander is the fourth book in her Eastern Shore Swingers Series and this book took the cake so to speak. Having read all of the other books in this series, I already knew I was in for a treat, but this book just took my breathe away. Following the story of Casey Fontane and her journey to meeting Gabriel and Joshua. Casey is living in California and staying with sister, who is undergoing chemotherapy. Her friends, Leah and Paisley, have come to visit her and while they have their own lives and issues to handle it is always good to be around friends. Because Casey is more of a matriarch to her group of friends, she gives each friend guidance and advice through way of her own complicated love story. The readers learn how Casey came to be with getting into the swinger scene, and how all of her dealings in the past have led her to Gabriel and Joshua. This chance meeting leads Casey and the readers on a fantastic journey of self-discovery, love, and a second chance at life and love. The twists and turns that these book takes will leave you on the edge of your seat and take your breath away in the same moment. Will she get her second chance love story? Or will meeting these two be a meeting too late?

This book can be read as a standalone, without missing out on any of the story, but the series is integrated so well in this series that you will need to read it as a whole to appreciate the evolution of Alexander’s writing. And with the introduction of characters from other stories and seeing where they have grown in their own journey, will make this an even better series once read in order. Having read several of Alexander’s works in the past I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book, and she definitely did not let me down in the least. If you are looking for a fantastic book, let alone series, this is one that you need to pick and dive into today. I can’t wait to see where she takes us next.

Jesse (Glass City Hearts Series book 3) by Desiree Lafawn – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Jesse (Glass City Hearts Book 3)Jesse by Desiree Lafawn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jesse by Desiree LaFawn is the third book in her Glass City Hearts series, and while I have loved each of this series books this is honestly my favorite to date. Jesse has got it all – romance, suspense, drama and tugging at my heart strings. Following the stories of Jesse and Harlow you get to see just how much these two are willing to sacrifice for family. For Jesse his family is everything. Growing up with a father who drilled it into you that Family is more important than everything else, he knew that at a drop of a hat he would give up his life for his blood. Jesse has always wanted to own a bakery, but he puts his dreams on hold to take care of his father’s bar. He was always fine just working away for the family business, until her. Meeting Harlow, his whole perspective on family changes. This woman calls to him in a way that he never expected, and that pull is enough to make he do anything to keep her in his life. Can Jesse take his dreams and make them work with Harlow? Or will he need to forge his own path away from family before he can commit to a ready-made family with Harlow and her son?
Harlow is a woman that just can’t see to get this being a female thing right. Other than having her son just over five years ago, she is more of a tom boy than ever. She has always been a hardworking, determined woman who would do whatever it takes to give her son the best life possible…no matter the cost. Just when she has plans to get a bit closer to the future that she envisioned for herself, the duties of a single mother get in the way. And then she meets Jesse. There is something about this guy that keeps her coming back for more. Is it possible that she can have a great guy and her visions of the life she planned with her son? Will Jesse be willing to work with her or be wanting to change her? Can she chance her heart on someone new? Read this steamy story to find out! Having read all of the Glass City Hearts series prior to this, I had very high expectations for this book, and LaFawn did not let me down one bit. I highly recommend reading these books in order, even though each book can be read as a stand-alone story. I can’t wait to see where she takes this series in the future because from where I am at, I can only see it continuing to get better and better!

Hard as Steel (Surviving Series book 4) by Virginia Wine – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Hard as Steel: Book four (Hard as Steel: Book four by Virginia Wine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hard as Steel by Virginia Wine is the fourth book in her Surviving Series and what a great read this turned out to be. Following the story of Steel Archer, who is a strong independent man who will do anything for the people the he loves. While this story is a dark and twisted, it does have some elements of romance and suspense. Getting hooked from the first page I couldn’t put this book down until I knew how it was going to end. Seeing a man like Steel fall for Nicole Lancaster, who is an FBI agent used to the boys’ club of Steel’s world, was such a treat. These two together were such fire that it all but gave me a stroke the chemistry between them. Both of them were so independent and determined to best the other that when they gave in to their feelings it made the story just explode. Getting to see the softer side of Steel made him feel so much more human that I fell for him on the spot. Can these two make a real go of it or will the worlds that they live in pull them apart? Can Steel keep the woman that brings out the best of him? Can Nicole trust that Steel will be there when she needs him most? Hard as Steel is the first book by Virginia Wine that I have read, and I have now bought all of the books in this series to do a binge reading session. I love that each book can be read on its own and that they all tie together in the end. If you are looking for a great story that will heat you up and keep you intrigued from beginning to end, this is the book and series for you. I can’t wait to see what Wine brings to her readers next.

Must Be Crazy (Darling Cove Series book 3) by Deborah Garland – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Must Be CrazyMust Be Crazy by Deborah Garland
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Must Be Crazy by Deborah Garland is the third book in her series, Darling Cove, and honestly, I think this is the best one yet. This story had me hooked from the beginning, much like the rest of the series, but I just couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. Getting drawn in from the first page, I didn’t want to put this one down until I finished. Following the stories of Skye Mallory and Edward Mendelsohn, I loved the chemistry between these two. Skye is a working woman who isn’t worried about finding someone for herself. But when her siblings tell her they found the perfect man for her, her doubts are obviously high, until she sets her eyes on Edward. While there is something about Edward that draws her to him, there is also a secret she is keeping from her loved ones that could ruin this relationship. What is this secret, and could it really be the end of everything for Skye if she were to tell those closest to her? Edward is the fire chief in town and is immediately drawn to Skye when he sets his eyes on her. While he wanted to ask her out before, getting set up on a date with her by siblings just made his job that much easier. When tragedy strikes Skye and her business and apartment go up in flames, Edward comes to the rescue, and Skye can’t seem to stay away from him. When situations arise that threaten to tear these two love birds apart it is going to take allot of trust and love to get them through this together. Can Skye trust Edward to keep her secret, or even trust him with her heart? Can Edward step up and be the man that Skye needs most in her world? The attraction and chemistry between these two will steam over your glasses and cause your e-reader to short circuit, but it is totally worth it in the end. Having read several of Garland’s books in the past, including the first two stories in this series, and I have to say this is by far my favorite of them all. If you are looking for a great read that will take you away from the cold winter weather than I suggest you pick up this series and tuck away for some much need hot reading that is guaranteed to keep you warm all through the night.

Who: A Stalker Series Book 1 by Megan Mitcham – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Who (Stalker, #1)Who by Megan Mitcham
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Who by Megan Mitcham is the first book in her Stalker Series, and HOLY COW what a fantastic read!! This book is labeled as a psychological romantic thriller and I couldn’t agree more. Following the story of Larkin Ashford, and her story is one that gripped me from the first page and had me checking dark corners and listening for every bump in the night. Larkin is a strong independent woman that lives for her work. When it comes to romance, Larkin would rather not. To her romance is nothing more than a messy complication that her life doesn’t need. When Larkin wants to take her company public, she starts getting threatening messages, and as the date looms closer the darker the messages become. To escape, Larkin goes to the rooftop of her building, and finds herself in the arms of a mysterious stranger. With him, she feels safe and drawn away from the troubles in her life. But who is he? Who is sending the messages threatening her and the company she built? The more that she finds out about the mystery man, the more sinister and evil he becomes. Is it better to keep your enemies closer than friends or is she just inviting the wolf into sanctum? Who will hook you form the very beginning and keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. The need to keep the lights on with this book is superior. Mitcham is a new to me author, and I am so glad that I picked this series up. I cannot wait to see where the rest of this series, and other books by her, go because if they are anything like this, I know I will love it. I highly recommend getting this book now and put Mitcham on your alerts so you can go fangirl (boy) over her new works in the future like I plan to!

Player (21st Century Courtesan Series book 1) by Pamela DuMond – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Player (21st Century Courtesan #1)Player by Pamela DuMond
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Player by Pamela DuMond is the first book in her 21st Century Courtesan series and what a fantastic first book. This book grabbed me from the first page and didn’t let go until the last page. I easily gave up all of my day to blaze through this one and can’t wait until the next installment comes out. Following the story of Dylan McAlister and Evie it was easy to fall in love with them. Evie is a woman of seduction by night and education by day. Becoming a seductress was supposed to be to help her family but the more she does it the more she falls in love with the power that it gives her. When Evie meets Dylan, she thinks he is going to be just another job, but there is something about Dylan that brings out a desire and passion from her that she wasn’t prepared for. When Dylan first set his eyes on Evie, he wasn’t prepared for what she brought out in him. His broken past kept him from connecting to others, but these two connected from meeting one. Can Evie help Dylan with the broken pieces of himself? Can Dylan keep Evie beyond their night together? There is a touch of suspense to this lovers tale, as Evie’s stalker isn’t happy with her budding love affair with Dylan. Can these two get past their dark pasts, or will they be pulled apart by differences. DuMond is a new to me author, but I am so glad that I picked this book up. The chemistry between Evie and Dylan was palpable, and the playful banter between them made this an easy story to fall into. If you are looking for a great story that will take you away from everything for a couple hours than this is the story for you. This book is a part of a series, and while I haven’t read book two yet, if it’s anything like this one I can’t wait to read it. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read and a new author!

Touchdown: A Steamy Football Romance: The Big Apple Series book 1 by Alexa Summers – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Touchdown: A Steamy Football Romance: The Big Apple Series Book 1Touchdown: A Steamy Football Romance: The Big Apple Series Book 1 by Alexa Summers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Touchdown: A Steamy Football Romance by Alexa Summers and AJ Phoenix is the first book in her Big Apple Series and what a way to start a series. From the very beginning this book got under my skin and I couldn’t read it fast enough. Following the story of Lexi Driver and Brett Brock, the chemistry between these two was palpable from their first meeting. Lexi Driver follows her name with her driven attitude and passion to be the best in her field really made her a fantastic character to get to know. Brett Brock is a first-time quarterback and is finally getting his chance to shine on the big stage. Meeting for the first time during a slipped towel incident in the locker room, to say it was a rocky start is putting it lightly. Will these two be able to work together, create magic together; or will their rocky start make them quit before they even begin? Or will the heat between these two bind them together into something so great that they won’t know what to do without each other. Having read several of Summers books, as well as her alter ego Phoenix, in the past; I knew picking this book up I was going to love this. The heat, banter, and burgeoning friendship made this a fantastic read. If you are looking for a read that will not only knock your socks off but warm your heart than this is the story for you. I can’t wait to see where this series goes, but I know that I can’t wait to read each new book.

Redemption (An Ash Park Series Novel, #5) by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Redemption (Ash Park, #5)Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn is the fifth book in her Ash Park Series and I just can’t say enough good things about this one. Each book grips you from page one and takes you in and out of dark places showing you a different terror and characters that willingly walk into that darkness. I can’t say enough good things about O’Flynn and this series, picking book one up was a whim, but I haven’t been able to look the other way since. O’Flynn spins a story so well that it draws you in and leaves you breathless before you realize there was an issue. This book takes place roughly 6 months after book 4, so while each book is written in a way that it could be read as a stand-alone, I totally recommend reading them all in order, so the characters and stories all make the most sense. The brilliant twists, surprises, and tension that unfolded with each of the installments in the Ask Park Series kept me glued to the pages and clamoring to find out what happens next. In Redemption, we are taken full circle, going back to where the journey with these characters all began and getting to see the storyline from a completely different perspective. Getting this back story on the characters, as well as motivations for why they did what they did made this a very interesting take on this series. This book really tied the entire series together making it an even better reading experience.
Detective Petrosky is definitely the star of this book, and while he is very much a broken man, he is going to be pushed to a new limit with this complex investigation that is going to bring the ghosts of past back into play. This investigation really took me for a ride, keeping me on the edge of my seat afraid to turn the lights off. If you are looking for a fantastic read that is guaranteed to keep you coming back for more than this is the book, nay series, for you. I can’t wait to see where this series goes from here, or any other books in O’Flynn’s collection because I just need to get my hands on more of her writing.
