Mercy & Mayhem by Lindsay Cross is the first book in her Operation Mayhem series that probably can be classified as a spin-off of her Men of Mercy series. I have not read the Men of Mercy series but I got a feeling while reading Mercy & Mayhem that many of the men in the Task Force Scorpion have had their stories already and I might have benefitted of knowing them but well, I managed without that and got a real kick out of this book. It was hell of a ride that Marley and Mack took us on while going after the elusive Mr. J (a traitor who has been tinkering with a serum and creating super soldiers). I like this kind of genre where you deal with ‘mad scientists’ who want to manipulate the genes and create super soldiers/assassins etc. I found the insta-love/lust between Marley and Mack a bit over the top but I could see how it fit in the story line. At no point felt I that I can put the book down and walk away. There is a lot of emotion and guilt and healing and action and heat in this book so there is no boring moment! There are quite a few openings here for several potential books so the writer leaves you pondering and asking yourself ‘who will be next’, ‘what will happen next’, ‘where will we go from here’…. It is a good way to finish and I personally am looking forward to the next story!
Rayne Garner can not let go from the past and she made a promise she has vowed to keep which has stopped her from living a loving and fulfilling life for the last two years. A past that has caused scars so deep in his soul that he is unable to fully live that is until he meets Rayne. Vaughn doesn’t know how to love but he knows what he wants and that means Rayne, any how any way he can get her. The idea of relationships and love is one foreign concept.
Can Vaughn and Rayne just be friends? Can they get over their past to have a future? Will they fight for each other? Will honesty keep them apart? Will they find their happily ever after? Will Rayne realise what has held her back? Will Vaughn finally be free when the past is no longer a threat? Will those who love Rayne the best help her to get her life back on track or will they keep her in the past?
This story is well written and about how two people fall in love and learn that some people are just as necessary as the air they breathe. It pulls on your heart strings to see what these two young people have had to endure in their past but can over come for the one they love when they truly let go.

The Fix by Sylvie Stewart is the first book in the Caroline Connections series. This is a fun, romantic novel about Laney Monroe and Nate Murphy. Laney is a 25-year-old single mom trying to balance work, being a mom, and helping her immature brother. Nate has moved back to town to help at his family’s construction business. The two meet when her brother finally decides to go out and get a job. Little does Laney know that her brother getting a job would be such a great decision for her love life as well. Laney has so much going on in her life except a love life. She is relatable on many levels. She is trying to do the best with what life has given her and be a good mom at the same time. Her brother lives with her since her parents moved out of town. He’s finally got her hints to go out and get a job. In her neighborhood, there is new construction and come to find out it is being built by her brother’s new employer. What will happen when life brings Nate and Laney together? This is a fun, sexy novel with some great characters. The topics of how to balance family, work, and love is a such a relatable, realistic theme. This is a hard balance to find and sometimes opportunities arise when we least expect them. I enjoyed that the characters had to make decisions that were real and can have a long-term effect on themselves and others in their lives. I am looking forward to reading the second novel by the author.

Love, Me is the second book in Anna Brooks Pleasant Valley series and I read it as a standalone. It was my first encounter with this writer and I fell in love with her writing! I am looking forward to the third book as we got a glimpse into the characters who will be the leads in the third book already here! The story captivated me from the start! The way how the writer manages to spellbound you, oh my lord, she sucks you in and doesn’t let go – I literally had to spend my whole Sunday with Vaughn and Rayne, our main characters of this story! Both of them fight such crazy demons and at times you might ask yourself how on earth do they manage to get up in the morning and face another day and is it really possible for one to have lived all this without anyone stepping in earlier and … yes, it is! We are so good at closing our eyes to other’s suffering and not getting involved (Vaughn’s case) and we are also so great at keeping appearances so that the people closest to us and who should help us, do not even get a hint of what is going on behind the closed doors (Rayne’s case). The writer was very considerate and caring and the way she puts the words together is like pearls on a strand that just keeps going and giving! Thank you Anna Brooks for this amazing story and please do not keep us waiting too long for the next one!

The Demon Inside by M L Sparrow 4/5 Stars The Demon Inside by M. L. Sparrow is a great science fiction novel that reads like 28 Days Later mixed with I Am Legend (the movie). This book is written in our main character, Darcy’s, point of view and brings more of a feminine perspective to the monster aftermath. Darcy and her boyfriend, Alec, are out celebrating her academic success when the world as they know it ends. Meteors fall from the sky and people start dying and it doesn’t take long to realize that somehow the meteors have turned some people into horrifying monsters. Darcy and Alec, along with a few other survivors, need to find a way to survive this new world and keep the monsters at bay. At first I thought this was going to go heavy on the romantic theme and I’m glad it didn’t but I enjoyed the devotion of the main characters. Also as a survival enthusiast, I enjoyed reading about some of the challenges the group comes up against that I hadn’t considered before. It did take me a while to realize this book was written by someone from the UK and I had to look up some of the jargon that I couldn’t quite understand from the context. The only thing I didn’t like about this book was some of the pacing. There were sections that were very detailed about the group’s activities and then some parts that ended with the phrase “and blank did just that”. Other than that I enjoyed this book immensely and would absolutely read it again.

Head Tripped by Nicole Archer, Ad Agency book 2 of 2.
I would say this could be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the first of this series where you will first meet Effie, as well as some of the others in this book.
I only finished the first book of this series Road Tripped yesterday and fell in love with this author, after reading this one I already want to read them both again.
Effie Murphy, aka f-bomb, a violinist who moves to New York hoping for a brand new start. She’s broken, jobless, and flat broke. Trying to overcome a terrible childhood with an overbearing mother, a twin sister she resented, and a seriously troubled past. She just can not catch a break until one night she is forced to be deceptive and stand in for her twin at an awards ceremony, where she meets Elias.
Elias, aka El Love, is trying to overcome a troubled past and is also the frontman for Urban, one of the hottest rock bands in the world, a band whose concerts are getting stale and in desperate need of some new material. Pressured by his roommate to attend the ceremony he goes along hoping he doesn’t get recognized. He hates the spotlight, he just wants to be normal so is introduced to Effie as the deadbeat out of work musician roommate.
After an incident at the ceremony where Elias helps Effie out, they end up leaving the event where Effie’s antics leave Elias wondering what in the world he is doing with this girl, yet not being able to tear himself away from her. When they end up back at her place, where she makes it clear there will be no funny business between the two of them. The connection is formed at that point through music, he realizes just how talented she is and they end up writing songs together. Then their time together comes to an end. She is heartbroken. He is ok with her believing he is an unemployed nobody because he is leaving in a few days on tour, only problem is he can not quit thinking about her. When he comes up with a way to have her join their band he jumps all over it. Effie, still not having any clue who he really is, when offered the chance to meet him overseas and be a part of what she believes is his “garage band” it only takes a few seconds to go from let me think about it to ok I’ll do it.
How will Effie react when she finds out who he really is? Will she be able to find her place within this group of people so set in their ways? There is a list of rules each member has to follow, these rules set up by Elias way back when they formed the band. The number one rule forces them to hide their growing attraction and relationship, which brings on many hilarious adventures for these two. What happens though when their troubled pasts rear their ugly heads? Can they make it through it? Can the band make it through it? Most important can their hearts make it through it?
I loved loved loved this story. I didn’t find it as LOL funny as the first book but I did find it wrapped deeper in emotion than the first. I fell in love with Effie and Elias..their characters were written beautifully and their stories although tragic in some ways were very touching and written perfectly. I have found myself very protective over my favorite authors and have only added a handful that I will read anything they write no matter what and Nicole Archer has definitely been added to that list. This is only a 5 star read because they won’t let me give any more than that!
Sylvie Stewart just has the knack for writing great romantic comedy. Book one was just the best and this one is just as good.
Fiona Pierce has loving and devoted parents but she feels obligated to do the right thing when they ask. She has great friends and she is fiercely loyal to her best friend Laney but she hides a secret from her past that she doesn’t want to share. Fiona has a huge heart and she will do anything she can for anyone she holds dear. Fiona loves the finer things in life especially the gods of clothes and shoes. Everyone just loves this quirky lovable woman except for one man. One man that finds her totally annoying who she just loves to push his buttons. She doesn’t do relationships but there is one man she loves to hate.
Mark Beckett loves women but never more than once that way there is absolutely no complications in his life. Between work, women and the gym he is happy with his lot in life, all except his past. A past that he would like to forget. A past that is now back to haunt him and his family and turn it on his head. Not only having to deal with his past he has to deal with a meddling do gooder that he loves to hate.
Can Mark and Fiona overcome their past and their fears and learn to put their trust in the one person that may understand them more than they know? Will love be found in the most unlikely places?
As with book one this book had me laughing out loud at the banter between all the characters, but especially between Mark and Fiona. I also love Fiona’s internal dialogue it is absolutely hilarious. The Spark is full of fun, intrigue, love, laughter and is 100 percent pure entertainment. I love the way Sylvie brings her characters to life and makes you feel you are a part of their lives. I highly recommend this book to one and all and can guarantee you will not be disappointed

Just WOW. I have to say that I have not enjoyed a book as much as this one in a long time. Sylvie Stewart has hit it with this perfectly blended quirky romantic comedy.
Laney Monroe is a twenty five year old single mum who is working in a job that she finds unfulfilling but it pays the bills and keeps a roof over her head. She has her best friend Fiona would do anything for her, who is always there for her and will never let her down. She shares her house with her five year old son Rocco who is just your typical little boy and her brother Gavin. After having a bad few years Gavin finally finds a job and Laney counts her blessing. After a family emergency Nate Murphy has returned home. Along with his sister it’s a no brainer they take the reins for their family business. But it may be a little more than they thought. When Nate faces off against one sassy and spunky Laney Monroe his life is forever changed. Family is everything.
Does Nate find something he wasn’t looking for? Will Gavin finally find his way? Will Laney and Rocco find a new beginning?
I was literally laughing until I was crying with this book. I was so wrapped up in the book that before I knew it it had ended. Laney is absolutely hilarious and had me laughing out loud at every turn. Her best friend Fiona is just as much a crack up as Laney but the two together are one hell of a team. The story is well paced and the characters are well developed, honest and very realistic that I could totally relate to. The Fix is funny and witty and will definitely leave you with a light heart and a smile on your face. If you are looking for a great story full of drama, romance, love and laughter then look no further. The story is so refreshing that I can not wait to read The Spark and I see what Sylvie comes up with next.

Gwen is such a strong, brave and beautiful person. You can not help feeling for her for all she has had to endure. All she has ever wanted is to be loved and I wanted to take her home and make it all better. Hawkins is the man, although he comes across a little too strong at times but he truly is a good man who loves hard and fast and is also one sexy man. He knows what he wants and goes after it. This is a great story. I recommend reading this captivating story. I definitely want to read more from this author.

She is one of the guys, she is fun, loving, loyal, a free spirit, heart of gold and smoking hot but they are just friends, a purely platonic relationship. Until it’s not.
Dean is having trouble with what he feels. Feelings he has never felt before. Feelings that are as strange as they are complicated and conflicting. He is now seeing one of his best friends is a different light. Dean finds himself thinking about more than a best friend should. He wants Coriander as more than the boy friend, he wants to be the boyfriend. He only has one problem he has to show her they can be more than friends.
As the book says “According to the law of attraction, women and men can’t be friends”.
Will Dean reconcile his feelings in time? Will Dean break her heart? Will Dean lose the best thing he never knew he wanted? Will he confess all before it is too late? Is Coriander willing to step over the proverbial line from best friends to lovers?
I really enjoyed this story. It was told by the male point of view in a very unique and clever way. I found myself constantly laughing at the things he said, thought and did, typical man stud. There were however a few moments when I wanted to slap him into gear. If you are looking for a little comedic romance then no need to look any further. Mika is a very clever story teller. This is definitely a hit, I can’t wait to read more of her work.

This is a beautiful, yet extremely emotional rollercoaster of a story. It is a story of two people who finally find one another, find first time love only to have it taken away too soon. Trust me when I say you are going to need a box of tissues just to get through this book. Michelle has woven a magical, beautiful story that is absolutely tragically heart wrenching. OMG Your heart and soul is with these characters with every step of their journey.

Road Tripped by Nicole Archer, Ad agency, Book 1 of a 2 book series.
There was more than a few times that I was reading along with my husband in the room where I tried with everything I had not to LOL while reading this book. I would end up snorting because some parts are just too much LOL. Nicole Archer has a way of describing things that make you laugh about a scene even after a few minutes go by.
This is a romantic comedy about 2 people Callie Murphy and Walker Rhodes.
Callie is a copy writer for her long time friends advertising firm. She landed there with literally just the clothes on her back, a severely bad attitude and horrendous potty mouth after he rescued her from the cause of all of this. She is completely disgusted by her coworkers and spends quite a bit of time creating a list of “murder methods for merrymaking coworkers” her boss/longtime friend inherited this ad agency and spends more time treating it like a playground then a real business. He threatens to fire her on a regular basis but she has too much on him and is in no way in fear of losing her job. The relationship between her and her boss is just one of the many reasons I love this book so much.
Walker Rhodes, the resident photographer/art director, or better known to Callie as the resident “manwhore” hates his job, is sick of women and has lost all his passion in his life long dream. An upcoming cross country tour for an RV client with his partner has him thinking this could be just what he needs to get him out of his rut, until his partner backs out and he is assigned a new partner, none other than “the ice queen” Callie Murphy.
Callie refuses this tour until her boss pours his heart out letting her know the actual stipulations to his inheriting the agency, and if they lose this client it would end them. After all he has done for Callie she can not refuse, besides the fact he was serious when he said he would fire her if she didn’t.
The 2 month adventure begins as they board the RV or as Callie refers to it as the “giant silver dildo” that will become their home for the next 2 months. How in the world these two that can’t stand the sight of each other are supposed to live in such close quarters while they tour the country…well….this is what makes Nicole Archer a genius in my mind. The adventures are awesome, the interaction by these two characters is simply LOL. The storyline is amazing, the hot scenes are seriously HOT, the secondary characters are awesome, the writing is fantastic and I’m running out of fabulous words to describe this book, and the best part??? There’s a second book!!! I can’t wait to dive into part 2 and everything else this author writes…5X a million stars for this book, read it, you will not be disappointed.
Boys Of Fall by K.D. Wood is definitely a book for mature readers and is my first book by this author, but will not be my last. This is a story about 2 college students Jerry Mathews, local college football star and Autumn Landry, who had to grow up too fast since her mother left, taking care of her father and her brother. She is a good girl who never stayed out too late and never did the crazy things college kids do. Jerry and Autumn had known each other for years and had a crush on each other since junior high when Autumn let Jerry know that he was taking her to the dance. Through the years as they both dated other people they ended up in the friend zone. When Mr. Landry suffered a minor stroke Jerry was hired on to care for their yard. On one hot steamy day as he was mowing he accidentally catches Autumn pleasuring herself, totally unaware that it was because of him, *insert blistering hot scene here* 🙂
It was the night of the annual bonfire celebrating the big game the next day. Jerry had hoped that Autumn would be attending as he had finally made up his mind that he was going to tell her how he felt and hoped that she felt the same. At the bonfire Jerry had just about given up hope that Autumn was going to show up completely unaware that Autumn was watching him from the shadows. It was at this time Autumn witnesses someone messing with Jerry and knowing she had to do something because this could interfere with his ability to play in the big game tomorrow, Autumn rushes in to save him not realizing that her attempt will bring them out of the friend zone. But can she save him in time and will Jerry get his wish and find out that Autumn feels the same way about him, he wants to be her last, and wants her to be his last. Will his well planned evening turn out as he hopes? I loved this novella. The writing style of this author is great and flows nicely. I read it in one sitting as it’s only 60 pages. She developed these characters into 2 people you find yourself pulling for throughout the whole story. Not to even mention that this is one HOT and STEAMY ride. I sincerely hope to read more about these two in the future. I will also be looking up any and all of this authors books. No doubt a 5 star read.

Last train home is the first book, in the Home series. And let me tell ya, I’m hooked!! This is my first time reading a book by Megan. But it definitely won’t be my last either!! I got sucked into this emotional roller coaster of a book, from the very beginning. I truly couldn’t put it down for the life of me. It truly brought me back to my high school days. Megan has such a phenomenal way of connecting you to the characters. You feel everything they are going through. Every. Single. Emotion. It’s quite amazing actually!! To feel such a connection to a bunch of fictional characters… it’s wonderful!! Riley Regas is your everyday, normal seventeen year old girl. But it also brings a lot of different emotions and feelings. I honestly think this book ( and series ) conveyed it perfectly. We have all been there during our high school days. You understand what the characters are feeling. I truly love his series ( and characters. ) I can not wait to see what the second book has in store for me. Outstanding job Megan!!
This is my first book by this author and I guarantee won’t be my last. There is a lot in this story that I loved but the best part is she hit on one of my favorite characters, the ultimate strong Alpha Male!

Gwen and Hawkins first meet and there is an undeniable attraction. Each tries to fight it because neither believes they deserve it or that it could be real. Gwen enters the dating world meeting in person a man she met online, unaware that her best friend asked Hawkins to dine at the same restaurant and keep an eye out. This first date ended as quick as it started as he fell into the same loser category, enter Hawkins who goes into protective mode immediately. Although they both try to fight the attraction what lies ahead for both of them is undeniable. Can they find their way to each other through both their haunted pasts? Can he convince her she deserves to be put first instead of second best. Can she help him through his haunted memories and be able to handle his guilt of a failed mission that he is determined to make right?
There are so many obstacles these two have to deal with in this story. Each one caught me off guard and when you think you know what’s going to happen and you have the story figured out Marie Skye tears that rug right out from underneath you. I absolutely adored the secondary characters in this book, and hope that I can read more about them in the future, as well as these two characters that tore my heart out through every page. I fell in love with both of them. He definitely has been added to my favorite book boyfriends list, and she while battling the lowest self esteem still had the strength to push his buttons at every turn. The story is beyond fantastic, and I especially loved that there were just enough sizzling hot sex scenes to make the storyline front and center. Loved it and it has all ready been added to my to be read again file.

The Portal Prophecies: A Keeper’s Destiny is a wonderful syfy adventure story for all ages. It the first book in the Portal Prophecies series begins in a magical world where everyone has their own special talent but no one knows exactly what it will be until they reach 16 cycles. The Council and their families are set above everyone else and are mostly concerned with their own pleasures and entertainment. The talents of others are only there to be exploited by the oppressive leaders. Reading and learning are considered unnecessary but listening to the storyteller is on everyone’s list of favorite activities. However, some stories have much more truth than the Council would like the people to believe. Willow has had voices in her head ever since she can remember and they have always looked out for her and helped her make sense of her world. Willow and her friends are suddenly shifted from life filled with normal teenage woes to a terrifying, enigmatic world they can hardly comprehend. Each person needs to stretch their abilities far beyond what they ever imagined if they hope to make it through the disasters predicted in a mysterious book called “The Portal Prophecies”. Understanding the prophecies is vital but when each one can mean different things to different people how can you know which interpretation is correct? Trusting in new abilities and new friends, Willow and her people prepare for the worst. A Keeper’s Destiny is written mostly from the main character Willow’s point of view. I love that Willow is confident in herself and isn’t a stereotypical female character. My favorite parts of the book are people trying to describe what is normal to them to someone else who has no idea what they are talking about. The book ends with a gloriously tantalizing cliff hanger and I cannot wait to read the next book in this six part series.

Five Years Previously Anna and her sister Ronnie were out shopping for Ronnie’s prom dress. Anna loved the clothes that Ronnie always picked and used her fashion sense when it came to picking her own clothing. After the dress had been picked Ronnie wanted to go buy a new lipstick and the girls decided to meet up for coffee in the mall. Before Anna left the shop, she got a phone call from Ryan her boyfriend, he was telling her he missed her and could he crash the girl day out. All was quiet in the mall with the shopper doing their own thing when gun shots rang out sending people scattering for safety. Suddenly Anna felt some one on top of her and struggled until she realised it was Ryan laying his body over hr to protect her. That wasn’t a problem for Ryan he told her he would take her after his friend wedding.
Anna and Ryan re-established their relationship and knew that the love they had for each other had never gone away. Anna was counting down the days until Ryan was coming back state side and decided to surprise him at the airport. However, the surprise would be on her. What she didn’t know was that Ryan had a little girl, he wanted to tell her face to face but she saw him hug the little girl and a woman she assumed to be his wife. Thinking he was married she angry and upset and left the airport. Ryan could not work out why he had not heard from her and went to hr college and saw her walking with another man. I found myself laughing out loud at BC’s and Graham’s antics and found myself in tears whilst taking the tough road with them. I loved their banter with each other and that with the other characters. It is truly engaging and fun to read but at the same time so tender and sweet. It is a beautiful story that definitely pulls on your heart. You will not want to put it down. This is a must read and I look forward to reading more from this author.

It is a book about survival and just how far you are willing to go to ensure that the ones you love are safe. It has an ended that no one sees coming. To me this book is similar to the Walking Dead, so if you enjoy that you will enjoy this.

This story is definitely original and took me to places I would never have expected in a million years. I have many mixed emotions about the story and the characters but I was unable to put the book down until I knew what happened next. What started as a teenage romance soon turned into a story that definitely left my skin crawling and my heart in my throat every step of the way. If you love paranormal then this book is one you will want to get your hands on.
Beneath the Secrets is the fifth book in Shandi Boyes’ Engima series and it is the first part of Hugo’s story (I am not really happy that the writer split his book, I would totally have been happy like a clam with a 600-700-page story, just saying!). You could read this story as a standalone and maybe it is smart to do so as then you are not haunted by what you have learnt about Hugo in the previous Engima books but on the other hand, you get much better understanding of some of the other characters if you have read the first books. I knew that Hugo had his own story to tell and I thought I might have some sort of idea after having read all of the previous Enigma books but oh boy, was I setting the bar low! It was the case of that what people show you is very far from what is actually going on behind the ‘walls’, why do I keep getting surprised?! Hugo’s story was a very emotional story to read, I have to say that his story is probably more gut wrenching than Isaac and Izzy’s story! (Sacrilege, I know!) Hugo is battling demons and at times they win, Ava has her own baggage that brings along its own challenges … nothing is straight forward here! I cried and I laughed and mostly I cried … The story gets its claws into you and does not let go! I really do hope that the writer will not keep us waiting too long for the second part of the story! Do a favor and read it! You will not regret it!

Light of Dawn by Angela Colsin is the second book in The Crucible series. This is a standalone book which is great because I had not read the first book in the series. I will now go back and read the first one because I enjoyed this one so much. This is the story of a draconian mercenary, Ulric Dra’Kai, who is in search of a curse box. Charlotte Mulligan is brought into his life, by way of advice to Ulric. Charlotte is stubborn and smart. She has not only caught the eye of Ulric but possibly his heart. As well as looking for the box, Ulric is searching for his destine mate. Lots of adventures ensue with Ulric trying to protect Charlotte while on the hunt for the curse box. As they are drawn together Ulric worries how she could be his mate. He is immortal and his mate should be immortal also. There is something different about Charlotte and gives Ulric hope for her continuing in his life past this mission. The two of them go against vampires who are hunting Charlotte while trying to keep the curse box and Charlotte safe. I enjoyed this story. A steamy romance, vampires, supernatural, and more. This was a great balance of story, action, and romance. I was drawn into the story quickly and looked forward to reading to learn more about the story of Ulric and Charlotte. I look forward to reading more from this author and from this series.

Unwilling is the first book in the paranormal trilogy by K. D. Wood. The synopsis was intriguing but in no way did it prepare me for what this story really is about! The beginning was crazy, you start thinking what the heck is going on and then come the first couple of chapters and it seems to be an angsty young adult romance with Neely and Hayden but then boom, it goes haywire and you are pulled in by the words on the page and you cannot put the book down and suddenly you notice that it is already past midnight and you need to go to work next day and you say hell with it and just continue … until … you … get … to … the … end … and ask yourself when can I read the second book?! And then you check and you see that the rest of the trilogy has been published as well and you have to take a very difficult decision – you need to go to sleep to go to work and plan a reading binge for the weekend! I have never read anything by this writer before but I need to say that this one, this paranormal romance is a bomb, it pulls you in and doesn’t let go! Seriously, get a copy and plan an evening, no plan a weekend because once you finish Unwilling you want to read the following two like I did! You will not regret it!

Life’s Second Chances is my first read by this writer. It seems to be the first book in The Show Me series. It was a sweet story about two people brought together by friendship that becomes more through the life events. This story is about Angelina and Alejandro, it is about loss, friendship, adoption, faith, love… it is a heart-warming story giving us hope that there are second chances in life if you open up your heart and have faith. The main characters are complex and likable, secondary characters are also great and I can see many books to come in the series. For me personally the book felt a bit too long and at times too wordy, I do believe the writer wanted to make sure that we follow the story and understand and hear both Angelina and Alejandro’s sides. At times I also felt that the arguments and disagreements got fixed too fast which I do not think really happens in real life. As it is the writer’s debut novel, I am sure she will polish her craft and these minor things I struggled with will be issues of the past. I do think that it is a beautiful story of second chances and it was a nice change to read something ‘clean’, most books include profanity or sex so I can imagine the book appealing or being suitable to a wide range of audience. It is a positive story that shows us that no matter what life throws at your way and whatever hardships you have to go through, you will get to the other side and it might be even better…

Aria has a painful past which she finds hard to move on it effects her outlook on life now while she’s happy her friends are settling down Aria feels sad as she think she will never get a happy ever after. When Trevin keeps hitting on her she tries her best to keep pushing him away plus hes a player why would he want her when he can any other girl falling at his feet. Trevin wants Aria to be his hes never had this feeling before where he cant stop thinking bout her no matter how much she pushes him away he will do everything I his power to convince her that they could be happy even if that means starting out as platonic friends even with how much he is craving to touch her. Aria and Trevin are perfect together hes a sweet guy who has had mistakes in the past but he wants to good by her and Aria she just needs to let go and be happy but will she? What will happen when Aria finally open up to Trevin? Will they get there happy ever after? Wow I loved there story I was hooked right from the start it was really emotional for me at times especially when you find out more about Aria you cant help but feel her pain. Throughout this hold novel I was rooting for Trevin he was a awesome leading character yes he may of been a player in the past but he is so much more then that which you will learn throughout. I can absolutely recommend this novel but I was also recommend reading the previous books to this series so you can get a better understanding of the other characters. Happy reading!!!

Bedlam is the first book in Autumn Sands Twisted Hearts Love Story series. It is a great read and I am looking forward to the next book (hopefully the writer will not keep us waiting too long!). It is a very emotional and painful book that pulled me in from the first page – the way Autumn writes, it creates images in your head and you ‘watch’ the book while reading it. It is both a blessing and a curse, in Bedlam’s case the curse is that the writer touches upon many important and painful issues such as impact of having grown up in foster care as a child of addicts, domestic violence, abuse, rape … I cried, a lot but I think that shows how well the book was written as how could something that deals with such serious matters be light and funny? No way! The protagonists of the first book are Anaya and Tony and the antagonist is Ignacio. There are couple of other great ‘supporting’ characters and I hope some of them get their own story (actually I do know that Trick gets his story next!). There are a few surprising twists that I did not see coming but of course when they were revealed, I went like “duh, how did I not see it coming!” The story keeps you guessing and I personally could not put the book down until I had finished it so be warned! I recommend the book and wish you great hours filled with great writing!

Breaking the Girl is my first read by M. C. Webb. She hooked me from the first page – “You are a salesman. You have to sell yourself within a few seconds or people get bored”. This quote could no doubt be used to reference M.C. Webb as her job as a writer is to hook me (the reader)! It was an unusual and unexpected love story between a porn star (Alex) who makes x-rated movies for https://www.watchmygf.xxx/ and a girl looking to be trained by him (Payton). The story was an emotional rollercoaster that at times was disturbing to read (there is a graphic rape scene towards the end of the book so if that is something of a trigger, please take care and be prepared). This story got to me on so many levels, one would say how can you relate to the story but you need to remember that this story is about people, people who have their painful pasts that have molded them to who they are today aka where we start in the story. There are other impressively written characters in this story and that adds to the different layers and are vital to the story and in us understanding Alex and Payton. I loved M. C. Webb’s writing style very much, I had no issues to follow the story line, I loved how it went from Alex’ point of view to Payton’s and vice versa. For a while there I was not sure if there will be a Happily Ever After ending but in the end, the characters pulled through and as Alex says himself, “Although we are not a traditional love story, we are a love story.” I will go back to this writer for some more stories!

This is one book you will not want to miss. Angela writes a great paranormal story with multiple layers and has you drawn in right from the start. I guarantee you will not be able to put it down. You find yourself drawn to the characters as if they are your friends as they race through every twist and turn. Well worth the read, I thoroughly enjoyed every word. Can’t wait to read more from her.

Project 99 is the first book in C. S. Patra’s Perfect Human series. It was my first encounter with this writer. It is a cool science fiction piece that is taking its story line from the well-known concept of human desire for a perfect child. Of course, as it is about how we go after it then Project 99 is one version of it! It took me a while to get into the story, there were different things happening from the beginning but for some reason it was not holding my attention. The story itself is well written, it was simply that I had hard time to relate to it. Maybe it was the concept, I am not sure …. Maybe it was the sometimes awkward dialogue, maybe it was something about the flow of the story … When looking at the story objectively, I can say that if you are science fan and like science fiction fantasy then you might find this story intriguing and when you are done with the book then you might be wondering what comes next, how will the ‘eight’ go about fighting back! It is also interesting how you get the story through so many voices, the writer did a good job with merging all these different characters. It is a solid start for a series dealing with such an intriguing concept. I mean, considering how much progress is done in science every day, maybe … just maybe … all this is already happening? Ever thought that?
