My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Siren Call (Eastern Shore Swingers) by Phoebe Alexander. This is the 3rd book in the Eastern Shores Swingers Series and these books are so fun. This is the story of Jesse Martinez who has wanted to be a cop ever since she was little and she loves being a cop more than anything. She also enjoys her “fun” time! Being a member of The Factory, the local swingers club in Ocean City, she looks forward to her times there! While the owners of The Factory have to leave they ask Jesse to watch over Sirena Horne a member who comes on the weekends and is very closed off. Jesse is automatically attracted to Sirena even though there is a age difference but she doesn’t think she is interested at all. As Jesse tries to befriend her and they become closer sparks start to fly! These books are so fun and sexy.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sailors Knot is the fourth book in the Eastern Shore Swingers series by Phoebe Alexander and so far my favorite. I loved learning about Casey’s life long before the club came about.

Casey is one of those characters that I would like to be like is a lot of ways. She’s beyond confident and comfortable with who she is as a whole. If I had an eighth of her confidence I would be a happy woman.

The flash backs to the time when Casey was her happiest were some of the hottest scenes I can recall reading ever. I also loved reading about Leah and Paisley and getting caught up with them.

Ms. Alexander is on to something with this series and hope she doesn’t plan on ending it any time soon.

5 out of 5 stars

The story Sailors Knot (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 4) by Phoebe Alexander is an amazing romance book that I loved reading. This is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. I have always loved the character of Casey Fontaine since the first book and am so happy that her story is now told. Casey is a larger than life character who has a wonderful personality. She is outgoing and also welcoming to those she meets. She is especially close to friends Leah and Paisley. Casey is battling cancer and her friends have come to see her. Not however without some baggage in their lives and relationships. Casey unravels the story about her past and the two men who were an important part in it. Will this story help both Leah and Paisley with their situation? With her thinking about the past what will happen if she finds herself with a second chance at happiness? Read this story to find out. Casey’s story is one about love and also patience. It also tells of intolerance and the closed minds that people had to the love between two men and one woman. This book also has many hot and steamy scenes. Casey’s story has plenty of passion and desire that is shown by her and her men for each other. There are some heartbreaking moments as well as heartwarming ones as well. It is a story that I found myself thinking about long after I had finished the book. Wonderfully written with amazing characters you do not want to miss out on this story. Highly recommended.

Although parts of this series may be too much for some, the author does an amazing job weaving her tale with such riveting and relatable characters. This book can be read as a stand-alone. However I believe it is best appreciated when read in the context of the series. Casey is a character you meet early in the series. My first impression wasn’t a positive one. But she quickly became one of my favorites. So I was excited to finally get to read her story and I am happy to say I was not disappointed. Her story was as colorful as she has been throughout the series. Thank you Phoebe Alexander for another fantastic book!

Siren Call by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Michelle Austin

Siren CallSiren Call by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Siren call was a good 4 star read and the third book in the Eastern Shore Swingers series.
This is an erotic read with F/F storyline.

Jessie is a police officer with some not so great things in her past. She discovered that she was gay while she was in the academy and is a member of “The Factory” a swingers club, thanks to her friend Paisley. When a new member of “The Factory” starts to cause some concern, Jessie is asked to keep an eye on her.

Sirena recently joined the club and she seems to be drinking a lot and leaves with someone different every night. There is something about her that intrigues Jessie, so she is more than happy to help her friends.

Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope. – Maya Angelou

There is so much more to this read. As Jessie gets to know Sirena we get a look at each of their pasts and it’s heartbreaking what each of these women went through. They also have some very steamy moments together and at the club. There are twists and secrets revealed that added a great element to the story. I enjoyed the ending which includes a HEA. If your looking for a good series with some hot romance, 1-click and get started today. Each book can be read as a stand alone but I suggest you read them from the beginning.

Sailors Knot (The Eastern Shore Swingers Series Book #4) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Angela Hayes

Sailors Knot (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 4)Sailors Knot by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sailors Knot is the fourth book in the Eastern Shore Swingers Series by Phoebe Alexander. Let me start by saying that Ms. Alexander has really set the bar quite high with this wonderful book. I am a big fan of her work and she never fails to deliver an enticing read, and this story is no exception. I have come to expect a lot from her, which probably isn’t very fair on my part, but I blame her for writing stories that just get better and better the farther into the series we go, eclipsing the other books with each new instalment. Just when I think that it won’t be possible to match the previous book, she ups the ante and not only matches, but exceeds them, as well as all my expectations, and blows me away. Especially this book, which is my favourite, and pick of the series so far. Out of all her books, this one wormed its way farther into my heart than any of the others managed to do.
From the divine cover, to the exceptional writing, the original storyline, and wonderful characters, Ms. Alexander ticks all the boxes, and then some. This is a fantastic second chances x contemporary romance x erotica. There is heartache, loss, sacrifice, reminiscing, friendship, desire, unconditional love, heartbreak, triumph, sex-positivity, polyamory, passion, erotica, patience, and surprises.
This story could be read as a standalone, without feeling like you are missing anything from the storyline. But having said that, the other books are well worth the read, as they really are great stories on their own- but they also introduce other recurring characters. So, having all that information and the backstories would increase your reading pleasure, of this book, and the series as a whole.
The series itself is set around a swinger’s club and the people who live the lifestyle and ‘attend’ the club and who go on to form a relationship through that- but this book was a little different as it concentrated more on a polyamorous relationship between three people and the connection, complexities, highs, and lows that came along with that. I was thrilled to finally be getting Casey’s story, and even though Ms. Alexander put my emotions through the wringer, and I really felt for what Casey had been/was going through- I. LOVED. EVERY. MINUTE!
Casey Fontane is in California, staying with her sister while undergoing cancer treatment. Leah and Paisley have come to see her, but they both have their own issues that are weighing on their minds. The grand lady that Casey is, she gives them some great guidance by telling her own epic, and complicated love story.
We learn that what starts as a way for Casey to get all her ‘needs’ met, turns into something so much more significant- and through her, we meet Gabriel and Joshua- following as Casey takes us all on an incredible journey into the past and back again. Will she get a second chance, in life and love? Or is it all too late?
I love these characters, they are quite dynamic, and fully realised individuals with their own quirks and flaws- which made them all the more realistic and relatable.
OMG! That ending was EVERYTHING, with cheese on top!!! GAH! Loved it!
Now I can’t wait for the next book!

Thank you, Ms. Alexander!

The Catch (The Eastern Shore Swingers Series Book #2) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Angela Hayes

The CatchThe Catch by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Catch is the second book in The Eastern Shore Swingers Series by Phoebe Alexander. This book is a wonderful contemporary romance that takes us on a journey into the world of swinging, so if you don’t like sexy, steamy, and erotic- then this probably isn’t the book for you!
But, having said that, don’t let the ‘swinging’ part of the story put you off reading this really great story, because if you go into it with an open mind you will be surprised by what you’ll find under the cover of this superb story, there is much more to the story than the erotic elements. There is depth and substance.
Paisley Parker is new to town and has been hired as a manager for the Factory (Private Swingers Club). She’s the definition of sex-bomb: a curvy burlesque dancer from New York. She doesn’t do relationships, only indulging in casual hook-ups. But is there more to her story? Is her confidence masking a deeper vulnerability?
In an effort to develop a website for the Factory, Paisley hires someone with the expertise to get the job done right. Enter Calvin Mitchell. He’s immediately drawn to her and would like to see where their mutual attraction may lead. So, what happens when this one-woman-man meets this wild and sexy woman? What happens when he learns about the club and the ‘lifestyle’? What about their age difference? And what happens when the past returns to haunt her?
This story is really well written, DUH- it’s Phoebe Alexander! There’s drama, emotion, passion, erotica, some suspense, surprises, friendship, connections, and lots of steam. The characters were wonderful and went through some development and growth over the course of the story. Once again Ms. Alexander has produced a enticing and sex-positive story, that drew me in right from the get-go.
Another great read from this talented author!

Thank you, Ms. Alexander!

What a book! I went into this blind as this is a one click author for me, whatever she writes I love, and this one did not disappoint.
Casey was a great character and the flashbacks, while not my favorite things in books, were so needed here! This is a book you need to read as I can’t just sum up anything as it all needs to be experienced in this amazing book.

I absolutely adore this author! I am not a huge fan of books about swinging, there is nothing wrong with that lifestyle it is just my personal opinion but there is just something about the way in which this author writes about it that draws me in and I know that whenever she releases a book in this series I have to read it. Her writing is exciting, it flows well, the pace is always excellent and I know that I won’t be able to put it down until I have finished. I think for me in this story there were some things that I wasn’t really expecting and that’s why I loved it so much. I love Casey; have done since the beginning and her story made me so emotional. I think that she is an amazing character, she’s there for everybody and she has this inner strength that can only be admired. I honestly love everything about her. I love that it was told in past and present and we got to find out more about Casey and her lifestyle. As I expected there were some pretty steamy scenes but as always they are well written and not too over the top! I do find this lifestyle interesting and I really felt the connection between all of the characters in this book!
As always I look forward to more from Ms Alexander – I cannot recommend her books enough!

I loved this book and think it is the best yet in this series. I was excited to finally get to read Casey’s story and I loved it. The emotional roller coaster ride that these characters took me on had me laughing and feeling compassion. Casey is a strong, sassy character that has been through alot but what will she do when she if faced with a second chance at more than just life? I loved seeing the previous books characters as well. I highly recommend this book, it is a must read.

Ok so after careful consideration I think Sailors Knot is now my favorite of this series, I reserve the right to change my mind after #5 comes out but at this point I do believe Casey has won my heart. I loved her in the books before but now getting her story and watching her go through all she had to endure in her fight with breast cancer she has absolutely become one of my favorite female characters ever. Her story completely touched me and it may be because I watched my own Mother go through this and maybe it’s also because this author’s words and how she puts them together literally just reach into my heart and squeeze.

I am so totally out of words that describe how I feel about this authors writing, I just know that if you have not read anything by her yet, go download this series, start with #1, its important because the cast follows through in each book and the history that is built in my opinion must be read in order to fully appreciate it.

Trying to figure out who will get book #5, Casey’s sister maybe? Or maybe someone else I’m overlooking, I truly don’t care, it doesn’t matter because I will have it the minute it is released, and since it is next year that’s the perfect excuse to read this whole series all over again so that I’m ready.

This book was a great read!! This is the third book in this series and can be read as a standalone. If you haven’t read the other books in this series after reading this book I’m sure you will want to. This is the story of Jessie and Sirena. There were a few issues brought up in this story that I thought was dealt with very well. There were some hot and sexy moments, some mystery, and some twists and turns. Both these women have some trust issues and I enjoyed the progression of their relationship. Once I picked up this book I could not put it down till I got to the end. The author is an amazing storyteller and I enjoy that the characters that are in the other books are brought into each story. I highly recommend this book.

Siren Call by Phoebe Alexander is book 3 in the Eastern Swingers Series. I have read the first two books prior and have loved this book just as much as the other two.

The author touched on all subjects when she wrote this series. Every book focuses on a different couple and their drama lol book 3 focuses on Jessie Martinez who is a local police officer working for OCPD. Jessie is also a member of the Swinger community and beings to The Factory. Jessie is friendly with the owners and workers there so it’s no surprise when she is asked to look into one of the members.

Sirena was most definitely not my favorite character. She held alot of secrets and Jessie seemed like she was going to get her heart broken throughout the entire book.

It turns out Sirena is not who everyone thought she was. She had a secret life no one knew about. What will happen when her secrets are found out? How will Jessie react?

I thought this book was well written and kept my attention from start to finish.

This book is part of a series but, can be read as a stand alone. However, I would recommend reading the series in order so you know who is with who and what they went through to be where they are.

I give Siren Call (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 3) by Phoebe Alexander, 5 stars.
*This review may contain spoilers from previous books in the series.*

Jessie will do anything for the people of The Factory. They accepted her into this way of life, and they are like family to her. The only family she has anymore. So when they ask her to use her skills as a cop to look into one of the members, she can’t say no. Besides, the women is an alluring mystery to her too. She decides to use her sexual side to draw the woman in and learn more about her. But the further in she gets, the less she wants to get out. There is something about her. Jessie knows she will get her heart broken again, but she can’t seem to say no.

Sirena, is in fact, hiding a secret. A few actually. But she cannot let anyone know. When the lady cop swinger approaches her, she’s sure she has been found out. Especially when she starts asking too many questions. But this women is so good to her, will she be able to say walk away when the time comes to leave?

This author has read my mind. After two books of the main relationships being male/female, I was wondering if any of the books would ever deviate. This series is about a swingers club after all and their are many kinds of groups within the club in the books. Sure enough, the author delivered with the main characters being two females. And it is done so well!! Sure there is a stigma about two women, it is touched upon when they are in the club. But these are real people just like anyone else. They have their own problems, some of them reflecting their way of life. But others are ones we all deal with. As she has done before, the author writes a wonderfully sweet, funny and hot as hell book. Sirena and Jessie are great main characters and feel very real. Plus your favorites from previous books are back! Oh, and did I mention there is a dog in this one too!!! A huge animal lover, I was so happy to see that again.

A wonderful series featuring alternative lifestyles, this book (and series) is a must for those who like hot and heavy romance and don’t mind reading something different. It can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the whole series since they are all so good!

Siren Call is the third book in Phoebe Alexander’s Eastern Shore Swingers series. Each book in her series can be read as a standalone, as they centre on new characters and new relationships; but still include characters from the previous books.
In Ocean City, Maryland, there’s a secret club, filled with swingers, that venture far and wide to frolic and play in its themed rooms, every weekend. The Factory is where the magic happens, enticing strangers with promises of nights filled with mystery and fun. In Siren Call the Factory throws together Jessie and Sirena, in hopes of their relationship becoming a blossoming romance, but both have skeletons in their closet that they’d rather keep to themselves.
I really enjoyed the story overall. I thought the characters were very believable and relatable. They came across as real, genuine people, which helped me really engage in the story. I also really enjoyed the precipice of the series, and how sex positive, and body positive they all were. Which is great to read in contemporary fiction.
Really loved the story and rated it 5/5 stars!

Book 3
By Phoebe Alexander
☆☆☆☆☆
This is a full length novel about that unexpected romance.

Jessie Martinez has worked her way into the cop life she has always desired. She has become a survivor, as she refuses to be a victim. She has worked hard and loves her job. Jessie also joined a swing club, where she can be herself. She is not interested in men romantically, but she also does not want to be tied down. Her heart has been broken enough! Not to mention the club asked her to keep an eye on Sirena.

Sirena Horne has her own secrets. She spends her weekends at the swing club, but keeps at a distance. She does not want commitments, she just wants FUN. But something is off with her, and she also just wants to forget her real life and just be. Then she meets Jessie and nothing is the same again.

Phoebe Alexander writes books of romance. Her books are erotic and spellbound as well. This story drew me in so quickly. Then it kept me interested and pulled out all my emotions. I laughed, cried and even got mad while reading this book. I loved that it was more about the characters and who they are. I fell in love with everybody in this series. This is a must read. Not for those under 18 as it contains adult situations and strong sexual content.

Siren Call is the third book in the Eastern Shore Swingers series. It can be read as a standalone. While good, out of the three books I have read in this series, this is not my favorite. It felt like the mystery around Sirena went on a little too long, BUT, overall it was a good read. I feel like if I could have connected to the characters more, it would have been superb. And that could just be on me, maybe it was not the right time for me to read the book…that happens sometimes, and then I pick it up later and love it.

What I did love about the book is that it shows the range of strength to vulnerability that women can have. It also shows the different ways that we deal with emotional trauma and how that affects our ability to communicate and relate to other people. And, as always, the author has the ability to convey alternative lifestyles with positivity while also showing the concerns associated with it. For instance, in this book one of Jessie’s concerns is being in a relationship with someone who is bi-sexual—the fear that she might not be enough for the other person. A real fear that comes up for many people.

I think my favorite part of the whole story is Sirena’s scene with the sheriff…cracked me the heck up! And you’ll have to read the book to find out what I’m talking about. ?

Siren Call by Phoebe Alexander is the third book in the Eastern Shore Swingers series. Again I’m blown away by Ms. Alexander’s writing. I’m experiencing a lot firsts with this series. This was my first F/F book, and she did it so well with such detail.

Jessie is a police officer in Ocean City who also a member at The Factory which is the local swingers club. She plays but with women only. She is fascinated by the mysterious blonde and wants to know everything about her.

Sirena has a lot of secrets and will do whatever it takes to keep them hidden. She loves to play, doesn’t matter who it is.

Both of these women have amazing stories and overcome quite a bit. The strength they have and don’t realize just blows me away.

I managed to read the first three books of this series in just four days and now I have to wait until the next book is released and I’m trying to be patient but it’s killing me.

The CatchThe Catch by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Catch by Phoebe Alexander is the second book in the Eastern Shore Swingers series. I went on a huge binge reading this series and it’s amazing.

The story between Paisley and Calvin started off slow with lots of flirting between the two of them. But when they finally got together I wanted to cheer. They were just so good together and I wanted to see the happy.

Paisley was old enough to know that you have to communicate with people but she just wouldn’t do it. I wanted to shake her to try and get her to wake up. Her back story is shocking and sad but she managed to make something of herself in spite of it all.

Calvin is a good guy who was brought up by amazing parents. He was very open and honest with Paisley about who he was but he couldn’t get her to open up.

This was another hot and steamy read by Ms. Alexander. I cannot recommend this book and series enough.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fisher of Men by Phoebe Alexander is the first book in the Eastern Shore Swingers series. I have had this book in my TBR list and on my Kindle for quite a while. Finally got a chance to sit down to read it. My old regret is I hadn’t read it sooner.

The story between Leah and Cap was a lot hotter and more detailed than I was expecting and I don’t think I would have enjoyed the book as much if she had written any other way.

Leah has quite a good head on her shoulders for someone as young as she is. Definitely an older soul in a young body. And Cap sounds like a silver fox. He’s older and wiser than Leah, especially with his experience in the Swinging world.

I have read a lot of different sub groups in the Romance world, but I do believe this was my first foray into the swinging world. This book is not for one who gets uncomfortable during intimate or explicit scenes but I felt that the book was so well written that you can look past it.

Siren CallSiren Call by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Siren Call is the 3rd book in the Eastern Shore Swingers Series by Phoebe Alexander. It follows on from Fisher of Men and The Catch. Although it follows on from the first 2 books it can be read as a stand-alone. I would suggest that you do read the first 2, not because it will help with your understanding of this book, but purely because they are fantastic books. If you are going to read them all then I’d recommend reading them in order as the story will flow much better that way. As with the first 2 books this is a very erotic read. It is also the first time that I have read a F/F book. I was unsure how I’d enjoy this. I will say that I did enjoy this book but not quite as much as the first 2. Not saying that this is not a good book, it’s a great book.
Our main heroine Jessie is a cop with a heart of gold. Everything she does is aimed at making life better for others. The owners of the swing club she is a member of have asked her to look out for another member, Sirena, as they are worried about her. In trying to get close to Sirena and to find out her story, Jessie becomes more and more attracted to Sirena. She soon realises that there is a lot more to Sirena’s story than she would ever have imagined.
There is so much more drama an intrigue in this book which keeps you gripped to find out just what Sirena’s story is. I have to admit that I really didn’t like Sirena through most of the book but I adored Jessie. She was an amazing character.
I’ve loved this series so far and I’m now looking forward to reading the next instalment to see what the author has in store for all these characters.

The Catch (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 2) by Phoebe Alexander is the second book in her Eastern Shore Series.Although this can be read as a standalone I do recommend reading the first book in this series as well. I was hooked from the beginning and had a hard time putting it down once I started reading. I’ve read several other books by this Author and this is on the top of my favorites list. This is the story of Paisley and Calvin. Paisley works at the club,it a secret club for those who live a certain lifestyle. She’s new to the area and her job.Shes very smart yet independent and people seem to be drawn to her and her confidence and also the way she looks. She doesn’t do relationships but she does do hook-ups,or friends with benefits..What will happen when she meets a man who wants a relationship with her? Calvin is a smart and kind man and owns his own business. He’s very clear about his feelings for Paisley, he’s drawn to her. He wants the whole package, her body, heart, and her soul as well. What happens when her past comes back to haunt her? Will she turn to Calvin for help and comfort? Can he convince her to have a relationship with him? This book has some pretty hot and steamy scenes .Some parts had me sitting on the edge trying to figure out what happens next. I highly recommend this book. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

The Catch (Eastern Shore Swingers Series Book 2) by Phoebe Alexander – Review By Krystal Gregory

The CatchThe Catch by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This author never ceases to amaze. This second book in the Eastern Shore Swingers series is just a sizzling as the first. This book can be read as a standalone, however, I do highly recommend you read Book One at some point, because it is fantastic in its own right.
Paisley is a strong independent woman who don’t need to man, or at least she doesn’t need a relationship. The physical aspect of the man, she can get jiggy with, the emotional side of it, she can deal without. She is a flawed character and I loved that Ms Alexander wrote a character that has curves for days. Paisley is not the typical flat tummy, long legged runner who you would normally see in the Ocean City landscape around Maryland and when she is hired as a manager at a hotel, her first priority is to hire someone to design the hotel’s website.

Enter Calvin…the not so geeky..but I am a tall drink of water..Calvin. He challenges everything she knows. He pushes her boundaries and her comfort levels. When the steam starts to rise between them, the sheets start to smoke. When a blast from Paisley’s past come barreling back and threatens her, Calvin risks his own well-being to protect her and she starts to believe that he just maybe the very thing that she has been waiting for.

This book is super hot. 18+ audience for super mature theme and some steamy between the sheets scenes. Smooth easy read with passages and paragraphs flow from one thought to the next. As a reader you do not feel rushed through the story and the story line progresses at a pace that is both relevant and applicable to the story.

The Catch (The Eastern Shore Swingers #2) by Phoebe Alexander was a fun, light heart read that had me hooked from start to finish.

Not my first read by this author or in this series. Just so you know, these book read as standalones, so no worries about reading out of order, like, I have been doing..haha.. Anyways, like the other books in this series, its full of fun, sassy witty humor, some kick in the feels drama and of course, hot sexy smut, it’s like she got her inspiration from the Fantastic selection of smut straight from m-porn.xxx.

In this book we follow Paisley, and her journey to self acceptance, learning it’s okay to love and be loved and dealing with a past she rather forget. I have to tell you that, I really like Paisley as the lead MC. She’s a mature woman that has some immature tendencies. Strong, smart and not seeing the great storm that she is, we get to witness her ups, downs, and of course, putting a, to her, a shameful past to rest. Calvin was the perfect match for her. Age is but a number, (over 18 that is), I get her worrying about the age difference, but sometimes, it isn’t the age that’s the problem, and Calvin was out to prove that to Paisley. I loved them, and they got all the good feels going, and then there was the… smut.. fan please!

Overall this book was a great read and, like the other is this series, the writing was smooth, transitions were clean and, the story flowed in a easy cohesive way. I highly recommend you get your hands on not only on this book, but this, fan-freaking-tastic series.

Happy Reading

The Catch by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Michelle Mulvey

The CatchThe Catch by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Catch by Phoebe Alexander is book 2 in The Eastern Shore Swingers series. From what I can tell so far, the books can be read as standalones.

The Catch has a few characters in it from book 1 and was just as good as book 1 of not better. The characters that The Catch focuses on is Paisley Parker and Calvin Mitchell.

Paisley has been alone for many years. She has no family and everyone in her past knows her by a different name. Calvin is about 10 years younger then Paisley and has a loving family. When Calvin and Paisley meet it’s because she hires him to design a website for The Factory. Not only is Paisley being groomed to be the manager but, she’s 100% in the lifestyle. When Calvin makes it known that he is interested in a relationship, she says no because she is not a relationship kind of person.

When Paisley gets an email from the website demanding money and calling her by her old name, she knows her past has caught up to her. She’s afraid The Factory will be found out if she doesn’t adhere to the demands. Things get much worse as time goes on. Their website is hacked and Paisley has no choice but to have Calvin take the website down. Paisley never cared much about anyone but now when her new friends business is threatened, she needs to deter whoever is after her.

I thought this was a great addition to the series. You will never guess who is after Paisley and why? At seventeen years old she fled to NY for a better life never expecting to face her past. This is a book you won’t want to pass on.

The Catch (Eastern Shore Swingers Series Book 2) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

The CatchThe Catch by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Catch by Phoebe Alexander is the second book in her Eastern Shore Swingers Series and it just keeps getting better and better. Following the story of the secret club for those who like a taste of darkness with their nightlife, and this is where we find our main characters Paisley Parker and Calvin Mitchell. Paisley is new to Ocean City and loves working for the club, but didn’t realize just how much the club awakes something inside of her. There is a confidence booster that comes when she walks into the club, and the stares that she gets from the male patrons just makes her feel even sexier. When Paisley meets a man that is going to want everything from her, her heart and her history, will she be able to resist the temptation to lean on someone other than herself? Calvin is an all-around good guy, business owner, smart and hot as all get out. When he starts to pursue Paisley he isn’t shy about his intensions or about his ability to win over her body to get to her heart. The more that Paisley attempts to push him away the more that he stays with her, determined to get the girl that took his breathe away. When Paisley’s past comes back to get to her, she finds that he turns to Calvin for help and he is willing to risk it all to keep her safe. Is there a future in the cards for these two wounded lovers? Will Calvin be able to prove to Paisley that he is in this for the long haul? Can she trust him enough to fall for him? Alexander really knows how to pack a punch with this book! Her characters and storyline will pull you in from the very beginning and you will find yourself unable to get over these two long after the book ends. While this book can be read as a standalone I totally recommend reading the book in series order, as characters from other books do make cameo appearances. Plus you can never have too many books! I can’t wait to see how this series continues to grow!

The Catch (Eastern Shore Swingers #2) by Phoebe Alexander
4 Stars

Yet another journey into the lives of the swingers! I have to say that I wasn’t disappointed. I quite admire the way that the author deals with her subject matter. The characters are very relateable. I find her writing style to be very refreshing.

The chemistry between Paisley and Calvin is very unique. I could feel the turmoil Paisley felt as she battled her doubts if she was good enough for him or not. I quite like how I could relate to some of the emotions and feelings that she had even though my experiences have been different. The author has really brought an alternative lifestyle to life in her books and in a manner that even though it isn’t your lifestyle choice you can still enjoy reading about the characters that portray it. I will definitely read more by this author in the future.

The Catch (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 2)

5 out of 5 stars

One thing I’ve come to really appreciate in this series is Phoebe Alexander’s use of applicable quotes at the beginning of each of her chapters. I’ve always been a fan of a good quote and the effort put into this aspect of the series hasn’t been lost on me.
I mentioned in a previous review that I had read the third book of this series first, they read really well as stand alone stories. Once again it was cool to see the familiar faces I knew in book 3 and more of their background, Casey, Leah, Cap.
Paisley’s character is my favorite thus far, her story has a little bit of everything sex, danger, her character is fun and charismatic despite her colorful, mysterious past.
I was roped in from beginning to end and I felt that Calvin and Paisley really worked well together. Honestly, such a well rounded story with a sexy, strong, confident leading lady, I would certainly recommend!

The Catch (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 2) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Lisa Boltiador

The CatchThe Catch by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Catch started off as a stimulating, romantic book two in the Eastern Shore Swingers series but eventually morphed a bit into a suspenseful mystery. There is someone targeting one of the members, Paisley, and making threats, and it escalates! Paisley may be sensually adventurous, but she’s pretty alone. She definitely thinks her bosses and Calvin can’t really want to be close to her for who she really is. What I like about Calvin is that he’s open-minded but won’t compromise on what he feels he deserves in a relationship. We also get to see how Leah, Cap, and Casey are doing. I enjoyed this, this series is really unlike others I’ve read.

The Catch (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 2) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Jenni Bishop

The CatchThe Catch by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Catch (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 2) by Phoebe Alexander is a story that is as enticing as it is sexy. I have not read on thing from Phoebe that I have not liked and this one makes you fall in love with our protagonist and relate to her on a personal level. Right from the start you are drawn in and Phoebe has done a great job in keeping the chills and drama, suspense and thrills flowing and emotions high. We find ourselves reading about a woman who is happy in her own skin and wears it well but deep down there is more going on but will she be able to face the truth and move on? There are hot and steamy scenes that will curl your toes and romance and laughter. It was also nice to check in on old friends, Leah, Cap and Casey from the first book. All of this makes for a good follow on and enjoyable read.
