Terrence: A Short Story is a story that is part of the Under Ground Series by Alice Rachel. Alice touches on a subject that is still taboo in a lot of places but is becoming more accepted. We can live in hope that it will one day be fully accepted.
Terrence Young has always known he is gay. He has constantly lived in fear for what he has no choice over. He has always been treated like a second class citizen by his father and his sister because they believe that he chose to be gay and is only doing it just to make their life more difficult. The government has passed an act called the Deviance Act which means anyone found to be gay could be put to death. When Terrence meets Chase Martinez the attraction is instantaneous and he decides he is sick of living in fear.
It is a sad story and I hate seeing that anyone has to live in fear for who they are and to read about Terrence and how he has had to live and what he has suffered in his life makes me so angry. Alice has done a good job with this subject and this sad story.

The Final Calling by Angela Colsin is the fifth book in the Crucible series. This can be read as a standalone book by better enjoyed if other books in the series are read. This book follows the story of Edith Walsh as she is apprenticing as a mage and enchantress. She is new to this whole new world laid before her and on her path of challenges finds out that her life is also in danger. When she was born, she was labeled as a part of a prophecy. Rothario, a tyrant from the Perosian Empire, is after Edith to put an end to her life. Thankfully Edith is helped by a Perosian demon named Isaac. Not only does he want to protect Edith in any way possible but believes that she is his predestined mate. The characters in the story are fun and the story drew me in. I have read another book from this series and this was just as fun. Colsin writes a great paranormal, fantasy story but with plenty of realism thrown in. Edith is determined to pass her rite of The Final Calling to complete her training while not being killed by Rothario. Isaac is sexy, fun and will do anything to convince Edith she is his. Who does not love a sexy demon with a mission to convince his mate that they are destined but also be her hero. I will be looking for more books in this series and enjoying the extended stories of Colsin’s other characters.

Beneath the Sheets by Shandi Boyes is the conclusion of Hugo’s story and the sixth book in her Engima series. You definitely cannot read it as a standalone! You would be so lost that it is not even funny! I actually suggest that you not only read Hugo’s first book but that you read all the 5 preceding books! As said above, Beneath the Sheets is the conclusion of Hugo’s story and I have been waiting for it for ever! (Or at least it feels like for ever …). It is a story about love, family; friendships that go beyond the mundane, sacrifice, guilt … you just name it! Five years have passed since we left Ava behind and disappeared with Hugo and now it is time for Hugo to face the music, go back and make amends and pray that Ava’s heart is big enough to give him another chance … This book will take you hostage, play with your emotions and at times you are not sure where is up and where is down, it is such a rollercoaster, such emotions … and it is not just women who feel here, it is also those strong alpha males! I could not put the story down before I was finished with it and then I went and checked when the release date of Hunter’s story is and I pre-ordered it! I love your story telling Ms Boyes and I impatiently am waiting for Hunter’s story! I wonder who will be next … Please do not keep us waiting too long! We need our Engima world fix!

Hopelessly Devoted (Bayou Devils MC Book 1) by A.M. Myers
5 Stars
I just love MC books, but this one will definitely go up with my favorites. I loved the story flow and the twists and turns. This author made me fall in love with everyone in this book and I can’t wait for this story to continue.
Alison is a crime reporter at the Baton Rouge Times and has worked her butt off for 5 years to build a strong reputation, but it’s just the start. She has a yearning to be a columnist and is working to fill the empty position within the paper. Problem is so is someone else, who hasn’t even been there for a year, but has been sleeping with the boss for the last 6 months. He offers a challenge to the two and whoever writes the best story after signing up for an online dating service and going on three dates will be awarded the position. She goes on these 3 less than perfect dates and writes her article with her honest feelings, knowing down deep it won’t be enough to get her the columnist position. Alison has 2 amazing best friends and a supportive family, no man in her life as she has decided not to date after her last relationship shattered her hopes and dreams.
Storm is VP of the Bayou Devils MC. He is haunted by his past every single day of his life, this past keeps him from ever getting close to another woman, the pain is too deep and it drags him down and keeps him in darkness, all of this he feels he deserves.
Storm’s Labrador puppy leads him to the front steps of his neighbor, Alison, causing a slight accident that leads to Storm administering first aid. She has sparked something in him that he hasn’t felt for years and he isn’t sure how to handle it. Problem is his past is coming back and means to cause harm. He is convinced that everything in his past will tear them apart and put her in danger. Can he walk away and save her, or will he allow his own selfishness to put her right in the middle of his past?
This had me hooked from page 1, it’s not one of those books where you figure it out early and just wait for it to play out, no, this one just kept building and I was totally off at what I thought was going on. This was written perfectly and I can’t say enough about how much I loved this book. I want more!!!! LOL

Beneath the Sheets is the sixth book in the Enigma series and and as with Beneath the Secrets it could be read as a standalone if you have not had the chance to read the others. As before I would however recommend that you read them all in order so that you get the background and the whole story.
Hugo is still struggling with his inner demons from his tours in Afghanistan. Now however his conscience is reeling with the death of his sister and his unborn nephew. Before thinking thing through he decides to take matters into his own hands but fails. However this one decision means he has made himself and those he loves a target. After running and hiding for the past five years and leaving the one thing he loves more than life itself behind, he finally come to realisation that he can no longer keep hiding. He can no longer run from his past. Upon returning home soon finds out that things have drastically changed. He has missed more than he could have even guessed. Now he knows he has to fight even harder for the ones he loves, for the love of the woman he should have never let go.
But will his fight be enough? Will he be able to show the one he loves just how much he needs her? Will he do everything he can to prove that his love for Ava never died? Will he be able to prove he will never leave again and be by her side forever? He becomes stronger when in her presents, she keeps the demons he fights daily away and calms the raging water inside. Little does he know a revelation will cause even more hold over his heart and a chance to prove himself once and for all. Will Ava once again be able to forgive the mistakes? Will the two ever find their happily ever after?
This story has it all including friendship and romance, happiness and passion, secrets and lies, heartache and frustration but amongst all that there is love. You will find yourself laughing, yet sad and frustrated with the choices of the characters. At times you want to knock some sense into them but as the story goes, you can’t fight fate.
Beneath the Sheets: Hugo’s Story – Book 2 (Enigma 6) by Shandi Boyes
5 Stars
This is the second book in Hugo’s story, I absolutely loved the first and feel the exact same about this one. This story takes place five years after the first book and in that five years Hugo has been presumed dead by everyone that loves him and those that are out to kill him. Losing his sister and her unborn baby 5 years ago took all rational thoughts and actions out of the picture for Hugo. Walking away from Ava, the love of his life is another pain he will never stop feeling.
Many things have changed for Ava since Hugo’s disappearance and the loss of her best friend and her unborn baby. She’s never gotten over it and it almost ruined her. She had to stay strong though and has ended up in a less than ideal situation.
When Hugo decides that he is done hiding and running and learns that he isn’t the only one with secrets can he prove to those he loves that he won’t run again? What happens when an unexpected kiss could interfere with every part of his future?
I couldn’t wait to read this story, and now have the rest of the Enigma series yet to read. This author has won me over and I absolutely love her style, and her character building. I can already tell I’ll have these books in my to be read again file. Loved it!!!

Beneath the Secrets is the fifth book in the Enigma series and it could be read as a standalone if you have had a chance to read the others. I would however recommend that you read them all in order so that you get the background and the whole story.
Hugo is struggling to find a job after returning from a tour in Afghanistan where he is suffering from PTSD amongst other things. He has kept to himself and doesn’t want to talk about it nor deal with it. Hugo’s sister Jorgie is engaged to Hugo’s best friend and has always wanted to see Hugo happy and settled down. Hugo has always had a crush on one girl and that girl is now standing before him. For the first time in six years he sees Ava, not the girl he knew back then that always set his pulse racing but the woman before him has sure changed a lot in that time. With just one flash of her amazing smiles see Hugo trying to impress this new Ava.
Ava had always had a good relationship with Hugo and boy did she ever have a crush on him but that was six years ago, before she was torn away from the town and people she loved. Now they are both back in the same town and Ava thought she had put those feelings to rest. But just one look at Hugo and she knows she is in trouble. It seems Hugo has decided to set his sights on her and she is more than happy to let it happen. Just when it seems like everything is looking good for the two, they are torn apart when tragedy strikes.
Will Hugo’s mistake cost him everything? Will he finally wake up and see what is right in front of him? Will he walk away from the only good thing left in his life? Will Ava be able to forgive the mistakes? Will the two ever have a future together?
This story is bit of an emotional roller coaster ride. At times you will be laughing out loud and the next you will be sobbing. I am now off to read the next installment. Enjoy!!
CL Gaber has written a completely unique, fresh and original story in Ascenders: High School for the Recently Departed. This is a paranormal romance story that will keep you enthralled from the beginning to the end. The characters are well written and their stories will keep you captivated and invested in them every step of the way upon their journey. This is a story about the afterlife for teenager,s which could possibly give you a glimpse of what that could be like.
Walker Callaghan has ascended into one part of a heavenly realm, the Midst, but she doesn’t know it yet. Walker wakes to find everything she knew is gone. She finds herself at the Academy and much to her dismay, on a huge learning curve about the afterlife. Walker finds herself on an adventure of epic proportions, which has plenty of ups and downs.Daniel Reid is also a teenager at the Academy and lives next door to Walker with his siblings. Daniel is a bit of a mystery as he keeps to himself but he is a man with a mission and nobody and I mean nobody will sway him from the path he so desperately seeks. He is determined to find a way to get his youngest brother, Bobby, who is an earth bound spirit.
Slowly but surely Walker finds herself a part of the Reid clan and in love with Daniel. Walker decides that whatever Daniel has planned she will not let him face it alone, she will be right there by his side come hell or high water. The Academy has many famous people from all walks of life that appear as the many members of the faculty. Dr King reigns as the Academy’s principal and is the enforcer of the rules in this realm but there are no rules. The story is fun and highly imaginative. There is love and friendship, danger in bounds, fear and acceptance. There is a quest, a new world to explore, and emotions to develop. The story takes you on a journey to a new world that will leave you wondering just what is on the other side.

Change of Heart is the first book in the Second Chances series and it is a lovely read. It is a romantic story but it has its twists and turns and fair share of heartache, that may or may not require tissues.
Casey and Decker have been best friends ever since he walked in and declared they would be at the tender age of six. Unfortunately Casey always had a hard time in high school and that changed things. She always knew she loved Decker but did he feel the same way? The two have been inseparable all their lives, until Casey moves away to college and breaks both their hearts.
Decker knew Casey would be his best friend and he stated as much when he first went to her aid. He may have been six but her knew. When she moved he didn’t know why but three years later she is back and he is determined he will find out. Whilst harbouring his resentment Decker confronts decides it’s time to Casey but one look tells him things are not right. What secrets is Casey hiding?
Can these two reconcile their friendship and return it to what it once was? Will Casey open up to Decker and tell him how she has felt and her reasons for leaving? Will Casey reveal the secrets she is harbouring? Can Decker handle the truth behind the secrets? Could he forgive her if he knew? Can Decker make Casey see what is important in their lives? Will Casey finally let him in and give them a chance of a future?
At times I found myself wanting to shake Casey and her stubbornness but at the same time found myself wanting to hold on to her. Decker is sweet and loving and willing to fight for something he feels he should have fought for three years earlier. I was rooting for Decker the whole way. Jennifer has written a book that was sweet and yet sad, frustrating and yet sometimes funny. You will find yourself falling in love with the characters.

The Portal Prophecies: Sleeping Sands by C.A. King is the fourth book in the series. These are not standalone books but need to be read in order. The story continues almost seamlessly from one book to the next. Willow and her friends are still together for a short time. The group is being separated to go to different schools across the main world. They are apprehensive because they do not know what changes this will bring to them and helping Willow solve the prophecies. Willow is having a hard struggle because as her powers are developing and becoming stronger she needs to reign them in to hide them from everyone. She does not know from all these new people who is her friend or enemy. I enjoyed this book as I have the others in the series. King takes the time to develop the story and characters. It is interesting where Willow’s challenges will take her and her friends and what will happen with Cornelius going mad. The change in story from a seasonal theme to school was cool also. I am excited to read the next book in the series and where Willow and her powers will go next. These books are great for older tweens and adults as well. I enjoy stories that bring in fantasy, sci-fi, magic, etc. and have a good story and characters to go together as well. The characters are interesting, strong, and have to remember the value of friendship and strength in numbers to solve the prophecies. Review by @sherimichelle1

Oasis by DL Gallie is a romantic comedy. This Novella was a quick and enjoyable and light and easy read. I was laughing out loud at their antics and interactions. Three girlfriends decide on a getaway to the resort of Oasis to rest, relax and unwind and plain old fun. The girls have set rules but one look across the isle and that flies out the window before the plane has left the tarmac.
Three guys decide on a getaway to the resort of Oasis to rest, relax and unwind and plain old fun. The guys have no set rules but one look across the airport and they are hoping for a good time.
What happens when three hot girls and three hot guys meet? Fun, sun, shenanigans and possibly love? I loved these characters and their friendships. The bonds between all friends and the teasing and bantering is hilarious. The connections that quickly develop are sweet and the attraction between each couples is sizzling. But what happens when those attractions turn into feelings? Who will act on those feelings? Will any or all of the couples stay together? Is there truly a future for any of the couples?
Favor was surrounded by football all her life. When your father is a big name in the sport and it is in you face 24/7 you either love it or hate it. Favor absolutely detests football and anything to do with football that includes players. As the story unfolds you will quickly learn why and you will understand why. But when a hottie comes on her radar will he be enough to change her mind? He is everything she wants in a guy but can she get past the fact that he is a football player?
Brice is a football player but he definitely is not your typical arrogant player. He is liked by all and is a really decent guy. Brice has had his eye on one Ms Favor Fontaine from afar and after a year he has finally decided to make his move. The trouble is she won’t give him the time of day. All because he plays football, but why? Unfortunately for him she has built walls around her heart and and no one can get past them. Will Brice be the one who can finally break down those walls and show Favor he is more than a football player? Can he show her that he is he one she can trust?
Brice is my man! The romance and relationship between Brice and Favor is beautiful. There are moments when you were laughing at the antics of the group of friends. Times when I wanted to seriously slap some sense into some of the men in this story There is also love and sadness, drama and betrayal. Autumn once again has written a story that you will not want to miss, with enough going on to keep you hooked right to the very end. The characters are well written, well developed and that is one thing Autumn does well. Happy reading…..

He has had his eye on one sexy freckled brunette beauty for years but she keeps hiding herself away. Will she do what it takes to keep all those she loves safe? Will the monster of her past finally find her? Will Ally finally lose the battle? Will Jonah be able to keep his beauty safe?
This book is a romantic thriller and I could not get enough. I am a sucker for a SEAL. I love the relationship Jonah has with his brother, they just cracked me up. Jonah is every woman’s dream man. My heart broke for Ally and all she had to endure. Frank and Frannie also made me laugh, you definitely want them on your side in a fight. Susan definitely sent you on an emotional roller coaster ride. This is a gripping story that you will not want to put down.

Always Mine is the second book in A. J. Renee’s St Fleur series that takes place in a small town not far from New Orleans. I loved the first book and I assume you could possibly read the second book as a standalone but I would definitely NOT recommend it! Always Mine is the story of Lindsay and Marc. We already saw in the first book that there were undeniably sparks flying when they were in the same space and I could not wait for their book. Luckily their book was already out by the time I had read the first book so no hangover! Lindsay and Marc’s story is a story of second chances, it is full of passion and heat and doubts and flashbacks into the past and internal struggle and … oh my goodness, what a ride! On top of the romance there is the whole stalker creepiness going on and that added another layer of mystery to the whole story, well done A.J.! I loved the way Marc and Lindsay interacted, they were really endearing and they simply seemed to work … On top of that, there are quite a few other characters that we already fell in curiosity or love with in the first book and we get a bit more insight into their lives in this book, cannot wait for the next one! I love our St. Fleur family! If you want to spend couple of hours in Louisiana surrounded by romance and heat, I tell you, you need to read the St. Fleur series! Enjoy it! And have a glass of wine while doing it!
Ascenders by C.L. Gaber is PERFECT!!!! I love d everything about this book. I could not put it down and when I finally got to the end, I was so mad and needed the second book ASAP!
Walker is a 17 year old high school girl who has just passed away. After dying she is in this sort of middle world. This new place isn’t heaven or hell, it is sort of a waiting place for teenagers and kids alike. They haven’t grown completely, so they all must attend school while living in this new “realm”. There are coffee shops, a movie theater, a supermarket and all kinds of places that make this space look like a normal everyday town you would find anywhere. The best thing about this new place is that she no longer feels pain. Internal pain, as in matters of the heart, yes, she can feel this but not physical pain. She also can’t die, because she’s already dead. In one class Walker meets Daniel and she immediately falls for him but he comes off as a jerk.
Daniel has been in the afterlife for a couple of years by now. He lives in a house with his 2 younger sisters and his brother. There is only one problem in Daniel’s life and it is the fact that his youngest brother Bobby is not with them. He is stuck the real world as a ghost like person, waiting for his big brother Danny to take him to their new home. The only problem is Daniel doesn’t know how to reach the portal to reach Bobby. Adding another distraction to his life is the beautiful Walker. He has no time for her, but is as drawn to her as she is to him. When she pushes her way in on the plan to retrieve his brother, he can’t do anything to stop her, but he will try to protect her at all costs. The only important rule at Academy High School is to never try to go back to the real world, and to just forget everything about your past life. Will these two teenagers be able to cross the portal and get back safely? Will they be thrown into ITT, a school for teenage murderers and rapists? Will all survive?
I want to basically spell out every single thing that happens in this book, but I won’t so that I don’t ruin it for anyone. I loved this book so much. The story was something I haven’t read before, and the concept was awesome! The characters were so nicely developed and watching the relationships between all of the characters build was fantastic. I loved how each of the main characters, we got a back story on how they died and why they were now at the Academy High School. I have nothing but good things to say about this book and can not wait to read the second installment. This book is complete 5 stars from me!
The Portal Prophecies: Frost Bitten is written by C.A. King. This is the third book in the series. These books are best read in order because I do not see them as standalone or out of order type of books. The story picks up where book two left off in the adventures of Willow and her friends. This time Willow and gang are up for a new challenge and learning more about themselves. The call has come and they are needing to help. This story is a Christmas/Winter theme. I enjoy how each new story is a new challenge and process for Willow and her gang. Also, that each story has a different season or theme involved. Everyone is turning against Willow and her friends. Can they help Lance and survive King Cornelius’ wrath all at once? As their world and experiences are expanding so are their obligations and chances for conflict. I enjoyed this story and am getting pulled in deeper to the world that C.A. King has created for Willow and all the different characters. Willow is fun, strong, and adventurous. She has grown since the first book and so have her friends. They are learning quickly but are also challenged at every turn. I enjoy that they have some tough decisions and must weigh the consequences of their actions. This is not a series for people who want a simple, boring story. Each book takes the reader on a different adventure. I am glad that there are more books in this series and look forward to reading them.

King – Review by Sheri Schrader
Mia and her co workers are out for a few drinks and a few laughs. When the group suggest Mia participates in the fun, she doesn’t back down. But what happens is something that she could never ever have imagined and nothing in life could have ever prepared her what did happen.
Seth finds himself out with the boys at a strip club, Decadence where what he sees leaves him wanting to see more. Unable to get thoughts of the beautiful girl with the amazing tattoo out of his mind, Seth finds himself drawn back to the club where it all started. Once inside Seth finds that there is more to this club than meets the eye. Where one private show gets you far more than you bargained for and is only the beginning to everyone’s worst nightmare. Where do people go when they disappear? Just what is going on in the private rooms of Decadence? Will they escape what the owners have in mind for them? Will they be strong enough to face their horrors and fears? Can life ever be normal again?
This book will take you on a journey into the most horrible, despicable and humiliating inducing experience any person should never, ever have to go through. Lynnette keeps you engaged with many twists and turns and through many, many raw emotions. This book is a suspense thriller with lots of sex and a little romance, that will leave you on the edge of your seat and make wonder how there is any way there could possibly be a good outcome. Some people may be uncomfortable with the content of this book but if you find your way through it you will enjoy this change of pace story. It is well written and is still a good read.
This is the second book in the St, Fleur series and I have been waiting to read this book since I finished the first, Widows Aura. Whilst it can be read as a stand alone I strongly suggest you read them in order to get the full effect and understanding of the characters. Widows Aura left off with Sofia & Noah getting engaged and their story continues in this book.
Lindsey is the sexy librarian who is dating Derek, a sweet man but she can’t shake the unknown feelings and familiarity of Marc the sexy friend of her neighbour, Noah. There is some great chemistry between the two but they have a love hate relationship and they seem to antagonise the hell out of each other without even trying. Lindsey finds herself smack dab in the middle of a love triangle without even trying. Add a stalker to the mix and you have one scared, confused and a once strong woman now fighting to keep her independence and possibly her life.
Marc’s desire for Lindsey is unexplainable yet familiar and once they make the connection he knows why. He has never forgotten the girl from his past his first love. Once he knows the truth he decides he has to have her and will stop at nothing to have her. Marc is ever the perfect man and loves unconditionally all those he cares about. He will also go out of his way to ensure all he loves is kept out of harm’s way. Whilst trying to solve the mystery surrounding the stalker Noah’s past comes crashing back in a way he never saw coming which could leave his relationship with Lindsey in trouble.
Once again AJ has written a story that that pulls you into the lives of each and every character and making you feel like you are with them every step of the way. The story is weaved nicely together with lots of suspense, suspects around the corner, tears, fears, love, laughter and great friendship with lots of hot and steamy romance. I look forward to reading more from AJ in the future and sharing the stories of those to come.
This is the fourth installment of The Portal Prophecies, Deadly Perceptions. Each book has revealed a little more to the mysteries that surround Willow and her friends and foes and the truly enchanting world she lives in. Through the many trials and tribulations she has had to endure we see Willow becoming stronger and surer of herself in a way that she never has before. C.A has shown that she has a unique knack for writing multiple story lines, whilst at the same time managing to keep you on your toes every step of the way. You are so wrapped up in the story that before you know it, it has come to an end.
At the end of book three we see Willow separated from her friends and those closest to her. Book four picks right up and we see a young girl becoming a young woman whose growth both personal and magical is amazing everyone. Willow is still in the world of the elves and discovers that you can not judge a book by it’s cover. Somethings so beautiful could mean death. Some things lost may become found. Some things thought myths maybe real. Foes could be friends and friends could be foes. It seems that King Cornelius is still up to his tricks but has upped the anti and he is not the only evil threatening to destroy and rule the worlds.
Whilst Willow is stuck on the world of elves we discover, through the help of her friends left behind that there is more behind the goings on and that Willow is and has always been smack bang in the centre of things, time after time. Will Willow be able to finish her journey? Will she discover things once thought lost? Will she be able to find the helps she needs? Will a right choice be the wrong choice?
There are many interesting twists and turns in this fast paced gripping story that has you spellbound. It is one jammed packed fantasy and folklore abound book that you will not want the story to end. I am hanging for the next installment.

King – Review by Jenni Bishop
Atlanta Reed a musician living the famous lifestyle, she had been singing since she was eight. She loves fast cars and her best friend Dare…her greatest joy is listening to old music. She loved tattoos and every one that she had had great meaning. She had a bad break up from her last relationship and wasn’t looking for anyone else. She already was in love with someone although he wasn’t aware of it.
Archer “Dare” Andrews was in love with his best friend Atlanta, they had been best friends since the age of 5, he had the kind of love that defined soulmate, but he never could get up the courage to tell her. They spent most of their time together from listening to old music, him watching her perform, and shared their love of playing video games and racing fast cars at the drag racing track. He loved old cars and had dreams someday of owning one that he could actually race, when one day a beautiful blonde made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.
Atlanta and Dare finally let their feelings for each other be known, and in a short amount of time fall deeper in love, when someone from her past does the unthinkable and tragedy strikes it leaves Dare injured and Atlanta in a coma with very little chance of surviving. He tries with everything he has to bring her back…..with a stairway only he can see yet not climb can he bring her back, can they find a way to be together again?
I really liked this book as far as the writing and the way it flowed. It definitely didn’t end the way I thought it would or hoped it would but the ending was satisfying for me. The whole story definitely tugged at the heart strings and felt so real as far as the feelings portrayed. This is my first read by this author and I will be checking out what else she has.

These are just a few of my favorite stories from this group of wonderful authors. I really enjoyed reading all of the books in this anthology, it was fun going from one to the next. Each having a gorgeous hunk to save the day. Many of them are part of bigger stories and I plan to look into each one and continue reading about each. I would give each story 5 stars independently and highly recommend this collection.

Queen of my heart is the first book in the Life Won’t Wait series and it is everything you expect in a love story well almost everything!. This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I really enjoyed it. It will take you on an emotional journey with these characters that you won’t want to put it down.
Quinn Winters has been modeling and acting since a very young age and now she is so tired of being an actress and wants to try her hand at something new. Something that will take her away from her past and give her a fresh start. Quinn now finds herself in Nashville and about to audition for a record label to pursue a singing career. It should be easy, right?
Tucker McGinnis is labelled as the next King of Country, a country music star. He too wanted to leave is past behind with a fresh start and got his wish after winning a reality singing competition. Life should be good but events from the past still leave him hurting and it is affecting his career. But could that be about to change? When he hears the most beautiful voice, it was love at first sound. When this angel literally runs into him, he offers to take her under his wing to help her achieve her dreams. What he soon realises is that she is exactly what he needs to get his career back on track. Little did Tucker know that he would find her and she would become his life, his love, his everything.
But is everything enough when demons will not die? Is everything enough when you need to put yourself first? Is everything enough when you need to discover who you are? Is everything enough when you are exposed to the world?
This book deals with a lot of different issues and is not your average romance. My heart was aching for what our main characters, Tucker and Quinn had to go through and put up with in the lives. But even though they had experienced so much it made them stronger together. You can’t help but fall in love with each and every single one of them.
Leigh Ann Lunsford has written a hit with Not Enough which is the first book in the Parker Siblings Series. There is so much depth and emotions in each of the characters and within this story and the world in which Leigh as woven. In particular the feelings and emotions behind Brielle, the one person who has never felt enough.
I loved Brielle from the very beginning, she is smart, sassy, loving, funny and gorgeous but that is not how she sees herself. It is not how everyone else sees her. All she sees is the girl who is never enough. Not enough for anyone to ever truly love and accept who she is. Not even her parents chose her. Brielle and her siblings were raised by their grandparents because of something that happened in Brielle’s past. Nobody knows her secret except for her best friend Cooper who helped her escape that terrible night. Brielle hides her secrets well enough that her family doesn’t see. That is until one man catches her eye. With him she can’t hide anything and decides that he just might be the man to save her. But in the end will he be the one to truly break her, giving credence to the fact she is not enough?
Colby James needed a change and decided to come to town to start a business with his cousin, Tyler. Since he being in town Colby has been spending time with the Parker siblings, as Tyler is dating Addy. When Colby sets eyes on Brielle he finds himself attracted to her, from just one look he finds himself instantly wanting to protect her, to find out everything about this girl. Colby just melts your heart when she shows Brielle that she is enough, enough for him. But heartache finds it’s way to them and Brielle’s heart is ripped from her and torn to shreds.
This is crazy, funny and loving family that are there for one another no matter what and their antics will keep you wanting more. There is also overwhelming heartache and sadness that will have you sobbing right along with them which made me want to slap the hell out of Colby and hang on to Brielle and never let her go..
Terrance: A Short Story (Under Ground #.8) by Alice Rachel is part of the the Under Ground series. I would recommend reading the previous books in this series so that you have some background knowledge of some of the characters. This story is about Terrance which we seen a little bit of in Aiko story. One thing that I enjoy about this author is that we get to see some of the characters from the other books in this series. She also have great character development and her attention to details makes you feel like you are right there. The other thing that I enjoy the most with this authors book is her ability to pull me into the story from the first word. You will enjoy the connect these characters have and they are true to life. Find out what Terrance’s story is.
Terrance Young is no stranger to being bullied, the teasing and harassment is a constant in his life. His family is less understanding of him. They think he choose to become gay just to complicate their lives. The sting is deep from the little rejections that they show him. Just when he thought things couldn’t get worse for him, they passed the Deviance Law. He could be put to death with just one little touch, kiss, or a mere look. He tries to hide his orientation until one night when things seemed to change everything for him. This is when he meets him. He is strong, gorgeous, kind hearted and Terrance feels and instant attraction to him.
Chase Martinez is a rebel from the Under Ground. He is kind hearted and gorgeous. Terrance knows that loving Chase is dangerous but is he worth the chance? He is done hiding and letting people tell him what to do. He wants to be the one to dictate his own life not someone else. He is tired of living in fear. Will he be able to stop himself from falling for Chase?
Terrance is a strong character that has been through so much. The loss of a mother he never knew, having to hide who he really is as a person. I give him a lot of credit for just deciding that he has had enough and starts to fight back. Chase is just as strong but honestly, he just wants to protect what is his even though he won’t acknowledge Terrance as anything. He has his own demons that he is hiding and trying to control. Together these two really make the story flow and the secondary characters just add to the story. You never know which characters you will see in the next book. Find out what will happen between these two, are they meant to be together or will fate have other ideas for them.
I enjoy each and every book in this series by Alice Rachel. I can’t wait to see what comes next. Alice loves spending time with her husband and guinea pigs. When she is not writing, she teaches French, reading and drawing. Once again, this author has created a story that you will totally lose yourself in. You will lose track of time and things going on around you. It is a fast story that you will not want to put down until you see the end. This story will keep you engaged until the end and you won’t want to miss the end! I highly recommend this story and all the rest of this series. You need to see what happens with all these characters!

This is a sweet romance story where the main characters have strong feelings for each other but feel that they can’t act on anything due to the tragic loss of someone special to both of them and how their family and friends may react to them having a relationship.
Josh loves his life as a firefighter and would do anything for anyone and will always go out of his way to save one of his own. He is every woman’s dream. Josh has always loved Lenny but like the good guy he is he took a back seat for his friend. Josh promised his friend he would always protect and care for Lenny. Josh finally decides he can no longer hide his feelings and sit in the background, he wants to be more than the one who hugs her when she is down. These two have some sizzling hot chemistry and everything Josh does for Lenny just makes you fall in love with him a little more. If Josh could just get her to see him in the same light.
Lenny has suffered tragic loss and been through more than anyone her age should have ever had to go through. Lenny loves her job as an EMT and the firehouse she works at where she is surrounded by guys who are her family. Lenny is trying to get on with her life but feelings she is trying to keep in check come rushing back when one of their own is put in harm’s way. Along with that she is confused about the feelings she is having for her best friend Josh.
Will Josh break down Lenny’s walls? Will Lenny decide it’s time to move on? Can Lenny risk their friendship? Will they finally give in and take the next step?
I enjoyed this sweet love story and I always love reading about the camaraderie of everyone that works at the firehouse and the bonds they have with each other. They really are a family that would watch each others backs and would do anything for each other.
Moments of Pain picks up right where Moments of Joy ended and is every bit as compelling and heart wrenching if not more than the first. Moments of Pain continues to share the strong love between Ivo and Brandy and the lengths that someone is prepared to go for the one they love.
Brandy’s illness is progressing at an alarming rate and Ivo, even with all his medical training, is having to sit by helplessly, and witness it all happening before his eyes whilst being powerless to stop it. But he is right there by her side. Brandy is getting less memory lucid and very frustrated and without involving and letting Ivo know she decides to try the medical experimental testing to cure try to find a cure for her Alzheimer’s. She is willing to do all she can so she can have the life, love and family with the man she loves.
When Brandy awakes everyone finds that the treatment has wiped her memory and she has no memory of the man she loves or things that have happened for a number of years. Ivo’s heart is breaking as he realises the woman he loves doesn’t even recognise him. She doesn’t know who is is or what they shared together, so he does the only thing he can do and that is give her the time and space she needs and is he has to he is prepared to let her go..
Whilst Brandy is feeling alone and terrified and struggling and my heart went out to her, I found it incredibly hard to watch/read the struggles Ivo was going through. It was incredibly sad and the emotions I felt for him were overwhelmingly strong. Ysa is such a powerful writer that she can evoke such strong emotions in someone with just one story. It is a brutally honest and raw look into how this disease can destroy lives. It is a beautiful yet heartbreaking story that is full of so much emotional pain, love and passion, fear and ups and downs. You will most certainly need a box of tissues and a stiff drink just to get through it.

Wow this is probably one of the most hardest emotionally wise book that I have read. Ysa has written a beautiful heart wrenching story of love that truly stands the test of and the meaning of “in love an in sickness”. Moments of Joy is the first book in the Moments to Remember series which brings together Brandy Curtis and Ivo Ferrero.
Brandy has lived with a history of Alzheimer’s affecting the women in her family and has always played it safe when it comes to relationships. She has always had hookups, no strings attached and has been truly afraid to live her life with any real emotional bonding. If only she could open herself up to more but she can’t because of this horrible disease that is lurking in the background threatening to take her away. The fear is robbing her of a fulfilling life.
What starts as a holiday fling, a one night stand with a hot and extremely sexy doctor could turn into something more. Ivo Ferrero has never meet anyone like the beautiful woman who wandered onto his life and one night is not enough for him. As hard as she is trying to push him away, he pushes back and the feelings between the two is growing stronger and stronger. She is it for him if only he could break down her walls.
This story will make you laugh and definitely cry. It shows that love can overcome many things if you are willing to open yourself up to more. It also give you a look at how Alzheimer’s affects people’s lives. I like the way we saw the story through both points of view and the beautiful way things developed. This is one powerful story that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish and makes you want to take the characters into your arms and take it all away.
