Breaking the Cycle by Megan Lowe is the first book in the Rocking Racers series and it is definitely a five-star read. Our two main characters are Bria Marie Adams and Reed Cooper Ryan meet and sparks explode around them. It is truly love at first sight and soul mates abound. They have a few bumps in the road along the way but nothing they can’t overcome. You will love the characters and the Ryan men are are to die for. They are easy going and a very lovable bunch of people but it hasn’t always been easy for them along the way to love. There is a curse hanging over their heads which has caused them to shy away from commitment and love.
Bria heads to the local dinner for something to eat and and her life changes immediately. She is suddenly thrust into the Ryan family and quickly meshes with them all especially the tall hottie Reed.
Reed has this undeniable pull towards the beautiful woman. He doesn’t do relationships but he certainly wants one with her. He wants to make her his but will the curse strike again? Can he chance a relationship with her and have it all fall apart? Would he be able to survive if the curse were to strike Bria? Will the Ryan rival threaten everything?
Megan Lowe has written a story that packs a punch and it is definitely addictive. The bond that the Ryan family and those they consider family is heartwarming and I often found myself laughing out loud to their antics. There is some rough rides throughout the book that just makes the story that much better. Once you start you will not want to put it down. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
The Touch of Snow (The Glacial Blood Book 1) by Anna Edwards is a paranormal romance that will leave you wanting more. This book has a little bit of everything in it, anything from laughter, to compassion to of course hot steamy romance. This is the second book I have read by this author and I can’t wait to get my hands on more, she just blows my imagination away. One of the things that I love most about this author is her creativity with her characters. They just find a way to pull you into their world and make you feel like you are right there with them. Another thing that I love about this author is her ability to keep me engaged and the way she pulls me into her stories from the first word. This story has a few twists and turns that you won’t want to miss but will keep you on the edge of your seat and the hot steamy romance will leave you wanting a cold bath. Find out what happens to these characters as they start a journey that will change their lives forever.
Selene Harper is a woman who doesn’t know really a lot about herself, honestly you could say nothing. She is not sure who or what she is. When she touches you, she can her your thoughts. This is not a good thing when you are new to town and looking to make new friends and go on dates. What will happen when she is thrown into a world of shape shifting bear, wolves and wild cats?
Brayden Dillion is a shape shifting snow leopard. His role is the lead assassin for the Glacial Blood Pack but he has already been told when he will mate and when he will be made a sentinel. His problem has been that he can’t find his life mate. What he doesn’t realize is that when he goes to visit is his mother, how his life will change.
Selene and Brayden’s relationship has been one where they seem to have a connection from the first time they meet. He is this alpha male and she is confused about what she is. She is afraid of everything because of her gift that she doesn’t understand. She just want to be like everyone else and most of all not hear everyone’s thoughts that she touches. Their story is really a discovery of finding out why they are what they are. Will she learn what family really means? In my opinion they are both really strong characters. Once Selene comes into her own, watch out. She appears to be this quiet little female but is she really? Brayden is strong, gorgeous, tall and just wants to make her his. Keeping her safe is his priority. The secondary characters in this book will make you laugh and also at times make you angry. You will love some and hate some all at the same time. I can’t wait to see what book 2 will bring with the next two characters. You will just fall in love with all these characters. Find out what happens with Selene and Brayden as they face struggles together. Will they find out why they are the way they are? Will they find a way to be together and have their HEA? You will have to read to find out!
This is my second book by Anna Edwards and there is no doubt I will be going back for more. Anna lives with her husband, two children and two cats. She spends most of her time writing although she still does some accounting which she has done in the past. She enjoys making and eat cake and taking photographs. This is a fast paced story that you will not be able to put down. I couldn’t put it down, I needed to see what was going to happen with these two characters. I highly suggest this book as I know you will want to see what happens on Selene and Brayden’s journey to discovering what and why they are.

A Kiss Upon A Star by Tamara Ferguson is the first book in her Daydreams & Dragonflies Sweet Romance series. I have read quite a few of her books so I was very much looking forward to this new series and she did not let me down! It is a short and sweet story of Tim and Emily who meet for the very first time when Emily is just 10 years old. Emily’s life is all mapped out by her mother already at that young of an age so it sort of seems like where do we go from here? Skipping ahead in time by 8 years and they meet up again and by the end of that surprise encounter, they both know that there is something special between them. They agree to email to each other but obviously, something goes wrong (like in real life …) Skipping ahead another 6 years and we are on a journey to find out if love really finds a way. A Kiss Upon A Star is a sweet love story and if you have read any of the other Tamara Ferguson’s books then you know what to be prepared for! I loved the humour and resilience and how Emily finally finds her way and how well Tim and Emily complement each other and I was happy to be back in Crystal Rock and … I love the world Tamara has created in Crystal Rock and I have to admit after I had finished this book, I went and read couple of other stories in her Wounded Warrior series that I had missed to read yet. If you feel a bit low and want to read something that warms your heart and soul, pick up Tamara Ferguson! She will deliver and restore your faith and hope!

Breathless by Leigh LaValle is the first book in the Yoga in the City series and is a fun and easy read. The story is very well written and flows easily. This is a sad yet sweet, hot and steamy love story. It is to be savoured like a fine wine. So sit back, rest and enjoy.
I look forward to reading Reckless, Book 2 in the series.

Amnesia by Kylie Hillman is the first in the Centrifuge Duet series. This is a psychological thriller with lots of twists and turns. Dr. Jax Ray is from a wealthy family he has only wanted Amber St. George since they were teens. The families are both well to do and have always wanted the two to marry and secure the future of the families. The problem is Jax will go to any extremes to get Amber and keep her for himself. He has now come up with the ultimate plan. Amber is put into an amnesia state that Jax controls. How does she know what is real and false memories when you have to trust the man who has put you into this state? This is a gripping tale of terror. The characters are believable. Jax is terrifying in his manipulation of Amber and to control the situation. Amber is someone I was rooting for to overcome Jax. She is strong when she has her memories and is trying to figure out her situation. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and could not put it down. I wanted to know how someone could arrange this situation and make it work. This was a terrifying tale of abuse, mental and physical. I recommend this story if you like to be kept on the edge of your seat and interesting characters. I will be reading the second book as soon as I can. I want to know where the story goes.
Bonded Autumn Sand is the third book in her A Twisted Hearts Love Story series. I recommend you read the other two books in the series before this one so you get the back stories of the other characters even though it is a standalone. This story is one hot romance book with lots of suspense, action and drama. Autumn’s characters and the world she writes definitely take you on a ride that leaves you wanting more. There are twists and turns in this book that keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat. The main characters in this book of the series is Brenda and Magnum, who have both known horrors in the past and it is their pasts that they must break free of to look forward to the future.
Brenda is everything that Magnum needs and wants but his past is holding hi back, he doesn’t want her tainted with it. He doesn’t do relationships because he can’t let anyone close enough to see his secrets, see just how damaged he is. But what happens when they meet up again and her past is now closing in on her? Now that she is in danger he vows to protect her. She is his and he will let nothing come between him and his woman. Can he be the one to save her from her demons?
Brenda thought that she and Magnum had something but he pulled away. Now he is back and he won’t leave her alone but does she want him to leave her alone? She doesn’t do relationships because her past has left her damaged. With the anniversary of the horrific events of her past looming, things start to happen that seem to point to the past coming back to haunt her. Will Magnum save her from her past that is now haunting her?
Bonded is a fast paced story that is a page turner and will keep you on your toes and reading until the very end.

Shadows is a two book story and it was a fabulous read and I enjoyed every single word. It is a beautiful story with lots of twists and a great plot that will keep you guessing page after page. The main characters have to overcome so much in their lives which will see you on an emotional roller coaster ride. This series will have you captivated and will see you laughing and crying whilst seeing you cringe as there is plenty of betrayal and mystery, suspense and sorrow. The main characters are sweet and sexy and there is lots of lust and passion that you can feel every moment with them.
The books follows Eve who is dealing with loss of one of her best friends and Theron who has a shitty past and when they meet their worlds collide they explode into fireworks. Theron is our hero that you will love no matter his faults, he knows what he wants and loves and will settle for nothing less. Eve won’t let anyone walk all over her and is sweet and sensitive, loving and caring. They both have known loss so great that it has threatened their sanity but the love Theron has for his woman is a love you only dream about and the love and acceptance Eve has for Theron is unconditional. Throw in one crazy Grandma who has no filter and you have a magical story.
When everything is threatened will their love be enough to hold each other together? Will evil threaten everything they have? Just when he has her will she be lost forever? Will Eve be able to overcome the horrors she has to endure? Will Theron’s past finally be put to rest?
I can’t wait to read more of Amber Lacie’s work. She has written our heroine as an amazingly strong female and our hero as a man every woman wants. This is definitely a must read.

Oh My God! 10 Dates by Emily James is a short story and a quick fun read. I found myself laughing out loud and a permanent smile on my face just reading about the things the main character of the story went through and had to endure. I loved the storyline which was absolutely hilarious and so refreshing. The characters are very well written and well developed and totally loveable. You feel as though it could be you and your friends side by side on this journey.
Joanie has just found out the man she thought she wanted to marry, was not all he seemed, so rather than let her dwell on thing too much, her well meaning friend, Melinda, decides the best thing for her friend is to have 10 dates in 10 days. As each date unfolds you wonder how Joanie survives them, as each one is more ridiculously funny than the others. Throw in a sexy next door neighbour and you have one hell of a story. The sarcastic and sexy banter between the two is absolutely the funniest thing I have read in a long time. If only you could see what is right under your nose. With well meaning friends who needs enemies?
I was thoroughly entertained from the very beginning until the very end. This is one hysterical and sweet romantic read that you will not want to miss. Grab a drink and be prepared for a fun and entertaining afternoon. I highly recommend this book as a must read.

Omorrow is the third book in C.L. Gaber’s Ascenders series starts where Skypunch left off. These books should be read in order as Omorrow continues on from Ascenders and Ascenders Skypunch and the characters have very extensive and very complex back stories.
The story continues as Walker Callaghan and Daniel Reid and the specially picked motley crue from the Midst are sent back to the living realm on an impossible mission to try and find the mystery of Albert Einstein’s writings. There is just one major snag and that is if you die in the past in the living realm you do not come back and you will not be born in the future. They also have one major rule on this mission and that is do not do anything to to change the past because it could change the future.
Walker the unspoken leader of the group definitely feels the pressure to solve things and the group find themselves in more sticky situations than ever. But who can they trust? Only one thing for sure friends could be foes and foes friends. Walker can count on one thing and one thing only and that is Daniel. Daniel is her one constant, her crutch to lean on but what happens when that crutch is no longer available?
With each jump in time they find themselves looking to discover clues and answers which are revealed to Walker and Daniel along the way to ensure that the information does not fall into the wrong hands. With the pressure on, can they find the mysterious writings in time and can they survive the trial and tribulations thrown at them and the ones they care about without anyone dying?
C.L. Gaber is a talented writer who has the ability to make things, fun, exciting and entertaining. The story takes you on a magical journey that you can not put down. Omorrow certainly didn’t disappoint and was the best in the series so far. I have come to love all the characters and especially all their quirks. I can’t wait to see what C.L. comes up with next for these lovable misfits.
Moments of Love (Moments to Remember Book 3) by Ysa Arcangel
5 Stars
Oh my gosh, this series has me a hot mess, it wasn’t enough that Brandy was suffering from the effects of Alzheimer’s now postpartum depression has consumed her. She loves her family with her whole heart, and feels she must do what is best for them. Ivo does all he can to help his wife and keep his family strong, but is it enough?
The first two books have taken us on a journey with Ivo’s children, as they try to understand Ivo and Brandy’s past, and how their Mom plays into it. This is a story about love, a love so strong it can fight against the most awful of diseases. This is also a story about strength, the strength and courage of a woman dealing with so much yet willing to put her family first trying to ensure their future is without pain.
I have honestly never read a series that has touched me the way this one has, this will stay with me forever. Alzheimer’s has touched and affected my own family and I could physically feel the pain and love that Ivo dealt with on a daily basis. This author is amazingly brilliant, and handled this whole series beautifully. This didn’t feel like a book series to me, this was real life, and so many deal with this every day. I will hold this story close to my heart and I will reread this often. I am already looking forward to the spin off Novel and will be watching for any and everything by this author in the future.
This is not a standalone novel…you really have to read this series in order, you will be completely lost if you don’t.

Haunting Me by Nikki LeClair is the first in the Haunting Me book series. This is a fun, paranormal, mystery with some romance. I accidentally had read the second book first so I was glad to get the first one read as well. The story follows Phoebe Mercer an up and comer in a prestigious law firm with a wonderful boyfriend. One would think her life is perfect until she is run over by a hot dog cart. This is when her life turns upside down. Not only is she now the laughing stock at the office but she also can see a ghost. Edie is a ghost with an agenda. She turns Phoebe’s life inside out and gets her in the middle of a mystery. The characters are fun and kept me laughing. Phoebe is a mess and does not know what to do with Edie in her life. Will her job and boyfriend suffer because of her new found acquaintance? I enjoyed this book a lot. The story was a fun mystery and the characters made me laugh out loud. Just when I thought it could not get any messier than something else happened. Since I have read book 2 also I am anxiously awaiting the next in the series. This is one of those books that are a quick, fun read. I enjoyed the break from reality and will look for more from LeClair in the future. Everyone can enjoy this fun story that reminds us how complicated life can get.

Nite Fire: Flash Point by CL Schneider is a thriller supernatural shifter story that is full of action and mystery. CL very creative and has written a story that captures your imagination right from the very start. It is action packed with murder and mysteries and some pretty cool characters. The characters are interesting and have lots of depth and the main character is sassy, brash and loud and the heroine of this story.
Dahlia Nite is half dragon and half human who is as tough as nails. She has fled her world as a traitor and now protects the humans by hunting those who don’t belong on the human world. When gruesome, blood thirsty and unusual murders start to happen in Sentinel, Dahlia is enlisted by the authorities to help find the killer or killers. To help conceal the truth from the humans, Dahlia must come up with elaborate and far reaching details that seem far fetched on a good day. When the truth is slowly brought to surface, Dahlia finds she is the object of focus for the deranged killer and that everything she holds dear may be taken away from her forever. Dahlia knows she needs to find and stop the killer before all supernatural beings are exposed. However to catch the killer, Dahlia will be forced to return to the one place she swore she would never return to, the one place she once called home. Going home means confronting your past and confronting your past means coming face to face with ghosts that should have been buried long ago.
Will Dahlia survive all that is thrown at her? Will Dahlia find out the truth? Will Dahlia find help where she least expects it? Will Dahlia lose more than she bargained for?
The story will take you on a journey between different worlds of fantasy, supernatural, demons and humans. I recommend this book and can’t wait to see what happens in this new series by CL.
Bonded is the third book in Autumn Sand’s Twisted Hearts Love Story series and absolutely, you can read it as a standalone but why should you? She has written two other amazing books that will get you hooked on the series and in reality, we do meet BOTH of the main characters in the previous two books and of course, all the sidekicks! You would never expect that a series can get so much better with each book but you would be wrong, there is something about the way Autumn writes that simply spell bounds you and you are like a fly in a spider’s web and she keeps coming at you again and again and again. You cry your heart out, you scream, you blush, you rage, you cannot put the book down, you check if there will be more books in the series (and thank God, there is a fourth book listed on Goodreads so I know at some point in time, there will be another one!!). Bonded is the story of Carl CJ “Magnum” Miller and Brenda Johnson. Both of them carry heavy burden of their past and do not trust the people and do not think that they would ever be worthy/ready for a relationship. When Brenda sees Magnum for the first time, she does not think of happily ever after, she is thinking of a hot and steamy one night stand. When Magnum meets the spunky Brenda for the first time, he knew that he was in trouble and his need for her ran way too deep so he knew what he had to do – push her away … Add to this all the past that does not stay buried, a grisly anniversary coming and you have a recipe for an amazing story! Thank you Autumn and please, do not keep us waiting too long!

Imagine waking up and not knowing who you are. Imagine someone telling you who you are. Imagine someone telling you how to live. Imagine a family willing to do anything to ensure having it all. Imagine living with a monster. Imagine the man who is supposed to love you going to any lengths to ensure you were his. These are all the things that Amber had to deal with whilst being held hostage by a deranged man who said he loved her but if this hell is love she would rather not know.
Amber St. George is being kept against her will only she doesn’t know it. After spending her life hating the very people who were supposed to love and protect her, Amber is now faced with bringing down the very people who destroyed her, only she is taken and her life as she knows it is over. Or is it?
Jaxon Ray has only ever wanted one thing, the one thing that despised him. Now that he has found her he is not going to let her go. She will be his and she will love him only she doesn’t know it. He is willing to do anything and I mean anything to make her his. Now that he has her he is keeping her mind captive. He is ensuring she has no memory of her life before him. He is ensuring she only knows him and ensures she believes his lies by keeping her in a constant state with Amnesia.
Will Amber ever regain her memory? Will Amber ever know what this monster has done to her? Will Amber ever be free of the monster? Will the lies ever come to light? Where are the people who should love her?
Kylie Hillman has done a brilliant job of weaving this tale and keeping you guessing from start to finish. The story packed full of lies and deceit, pain and torture, rage and power so much so that I feel like I need revenge. I feel like I need to bring this monster to justice. This is a very dark story and the ending will leave you cursing up a storm. I cannot wait to read the second book to this series. If you are looking for a psychological suspense to read then this book is for you so grab a copy.
This is the first book in the Sin Bin series by Dahlia Donovan. Wanderlust has been one of the best things in Graham Hodson’s life. The itch to travel to new and exciting places and write for a travel magazine makes him who he is and he almost defines himself by it. Boyce (BC) Brooks is a (regretfully) retired professional rugby player who decided to try his hand at innkeeping after his late uncle leaves him an inn by the sea in Cornwall. A chance meeting at a friend’s wedding brings the two together for the briefest of moments for a romantic tangle in a secluded closet. Neither one thinks they are any good at relationships so it’s not too surprising when they go their separate ways shortly after. Graham’s editor posts him in Cornwall after a trip to Australia and she just so happens to book him at BC’s inn. A concerning succession of illnesses brings him back to Cornwall much sooner than he would have liked as his family and BC push him to get a checkup with his doctor. The diagnosis puts an immediate stop to all travel and BC steps up to make a place for Graham at the inn until he gets better. This story will make you laugh, cry, and wonder at the love that two souls can share. My only complaint is that it took me a minute to wrap my head around the UK slang but that’s more on me than the author. I can’t wait to see what the next book in the series will be like.

A Way Back into Love by Veronica Thatcher is a contemporary romance book and is written in the third person. The book is full of drama as the story revolves around our two main characters Emily Stevens and Derek Thorpe. The two have been best friends since their first day of school but after one drunken night we see Emily moving out of town. Now years later she is returning home and having to confront a past she thought she had put to rest only to realise that things are not always as they seem.
I must say that I was not expecting some of the twists and turns that occurred but the secrets and lies and deceit you will not see coming. Even though the story goes from the present to the past quite frequently you will not have any trouble following it.
I enjoyed the story even though I did find the story a little on the predictable side but you will find that you have to keep reading because you just want to know what is going to happen next and where the story will lead. There were times when I thought the main characters, Emily and Derek were a little naive and immature, and once they got their act together they were fun and sassy and their banter often had me laughing at their antics. I loved how they immediately returned to their easy best friend relationship despite all the hurt and misunderstandings. Parts of the story line surrounding the hospital, I found reminded me a little of one of my favourite TV shows, Grey’s Anatomy.
So if you like a little romance and drama, fun and an easy read then look no further.

Always Mine by AJ Renee is the second book in the St. Fleur series. This can be read as a standalone as I did, but I am going back to catch the first book now. This book is about Lindsey the librarian in the small town of St. Fleur, Louisiana and Marc, and Derek. Lindsey must decide if the sweet history teacher, Derek or the smoldering childhood friend of her brother, Marc. What does a woman do when there are more than one to pick from? During all her man drama, there might also be a stalker watching Lindsey’s every move. Luckily, Lindsey lives in a close knit small town and has not only her big brother and his friends but also her friends to watch her back. Who will Lindsey pick in the love department? Will her stalker be caught? I enjoyed this book and will be looking for the first book and third book in this series. The small-town atmosphere is refreshing and the characters are well developed. I enjoy the relationships between Lindsey and her brother’s friends. All of them have known each other their entire lives and have a close bond. The people who have entered their lives since are also embraced and brought into their close family relationship. I also enjoyed the love triangle Lindsey is a having. Who do you pick? The choice can lead her life in two different directions. Do you choose the sweet history teacher or the sexy, childhood friend? I know who I would pick.
The Talented Mr. Maxwell by Julia Harlow is a romance story that is full of drama and sadness, passion and anger.
Dorrie Applegate enjoys her job at the Omni publishing company and now finds herself on a plane on the way to her first assignment. Her assignment entails a trip to London and a written biography on one well known, male model, Mr Grant Maxwell. However, the hot and sexy male who is sitting beside her has other ideas. He is trying to get to know the lovely young woman sitting next to him, he is smitten with her and wants to get to know her better. Will Dorrie realise who this stranger is? Will Dorrie find more than a story from this man?
Grant Maxwell is one sexy and in demand male model and one really nice guy. He was definitely aware that he was a little different from other models and the most noticeable one was his age. He knew that his age would change his career and that the younger ones on the rise would one day take over. Just what that change would be he did not know.
Dorrie and Grant have sparks flying when they can no longer keep their hands off each other. They are very attracted to each other and they both know what they want and that is each other. As they start to form a relationship they are confronted with jealousy and trust issues, in which I found both of them to be a little bit immature when it comes to relationships. Being as popular as he is everyone thinks he has had whoever he wants whenever he wants when it comes to women, but the truth about his relationships is not what it seems. Dorrie has never seen herself as the beauty that others saw. Due to this and her other qualities it only added to her allure and could stop men but it had been a while.
What will happen when they are forbidden fruit? What happens when someone gets hurt? Will they finally see they are meant to be together or will they walk away for good? Will Grant decide what his heart truly desires?
At times I really wanted to smack Grant and I really had to question some of his motives and judgements. Poor Dorrie I just wanted to shake her and make her take a good look at herself for once. The story will keep you engaged until the end with all the twists and turns and things you never saw coming.

Randi Perrin has written a little gem with this paranormal romance Virtue by Death. This angelic story is well written and is a romantic story with a twist and is a happily ever after. It is a standalone book but I wonder if Randi has more of those quirky, sassy and yet sweet characters in store for us?
Sera owns her own shop and has always loved baking. By day she is a lover of baking but at night she is the Angel of Death. Sera loves both jobs, but lately she has to fight demons to get to the souls of the dying to heaven before they get to them. Sera also loves her best friend and fellow angel, Cheryl, whom you will adore. Where Sera is sweet and sugary, Cheryl is all sorts of sass and snark but they complement each other beautifully. Even though Cheryl is an angel, she is a different type of angel to Sera, she can save lives. Both take their angelic jobs seriously and adhere to the rules religiously.
Journalist and food critic, Destin, is given baked goods to review for his job and little does he know that this one review will change his life forever. Destin writes his review for a shop that sells baked goods but after reading the review the owner, Sera, can not believe what she reads and decides to give him a piece of her mind.
Will Sera open up about her secret? Will Destin be the one she trusts? Will Destin believe in Sera? Will Destin or Heaven be the one to break her heart? Can Sera forgive and move on? Will Sera be destroyed by the demons or will she eventually outsmart them?
This story is full of friendships and love. We learn that true love is worth any sacrifice and because of this, the strength of the girls friendship is tested when Heaven throws a curve ball their way. I love the banter between Cheryl and Destin which ensures just the right amount of humour when things get a little tense or down. I enjoyed the plot and as well as the sense of humour. This is one book not to be missed.

Leigh Ann Lunsford knows how to write a great story. Her characters in this series will have you pulling your hair out, laughing out loud and crying along with them and every crazy whacky thing they do. This is one unconventional family that will make you feel right at home and enjoy every step they take with you right by their side.
CL Gaber is one excellent story teller as she will certainly keep you on the edge of your seat as you read her books. Putting the book down until the very end is not an option, as this series will pull you in and leave you wanting more. These books are definitely not standalone books. You need to read each of them in the correct order to fully understand all the world that CL has cleverly weaved in this story of Walker Callaghan. This book continues with the same characters we enjoyed in the first book, but there are many new introductions to some new FREAKy characters as well.
This book picks right up from where book 1 finished off. The journey continues with Walker and Daniel realm jumping and after they have returned from their visit to the living realm they are sent to be punished. The conditions that they have to contend with will set your heart racing and will have you wanting to wreak havoc on those doling out their punishment. Walker and Daniel find themselves released from their confinement and slaves to a Higher Authority that needs them to return to the living realm to find something long buried. To refuse is not an option. Daniel and his family come face to face with their past in a way they never expected and the chaos that brings to them.
I really enjoyed the growth of Walker and Daniel and their family and all of their friends. I particularly enjoy reading about all the celebrity faculty members and those of the Higher Authority and look forward to who we may meet next and their roles within the stories. There are many, many secrets within secrets in this wonderful world that will keep you captivated from book to book. This wonderfully written book will keep you entertained. You will find yourself smiling and laughing at their antics and rooting for them to overcome all terrible things that happen. The characters are goofy and fun, engaging and clever. I am looking to continuing the adventure with them in the next book.
Bonded by Autumn Sand is the third book in the Twisted Hearts Love Story series. This book can be read as a standalone book. This is the story of Brenda and Magnum. The characters were a part of the other books but in a background, supporting character sense. Brenda and Magnum met through Cyma and Tick. Brenda was one of the nurse’s caring for Cyma’s daughter during her cancer treatment. Magnum works with Tick. The two of them are tough on the outside but are carrying a lot with them from their pasts. The two do not want a relationship but are drawn to each other. When Brenda receives a threat that is when Magnum learns his true feelings for her. With possible peril at every turn can Magnum and Brenda move from their separate pasts into a future together? I enjoyed the characters and was glad to see them get their own stories. I was shocked at how quick I read this book. I have enjoyed Sand’s other books in the series but this one was a fantastic story of second chances and being able to put the past behind us. There are some sensitive sections dealing with child abuse. It was integral to the story and was handled tastefully and with great impact. It is a reminder that someone might be smiling on the outside but has a battle inside that they are fighting. Her characters are full of fight but also full of love for the right person. As with her other books I look forward to reading more of her stories.

Not Leaving by Leigh Ann Lunsford is the second book in her Parker Siblings series. This one picks up where the first book, Not Enough left off, so I strongly suggest that you read the first book before this one. Leigh gives so much depth and character to each of her characters and the attention to detail for the world in which the Parker siblings and family live.
Addison Parker and Tyler James have been together since he saw her on the first day of school. Their love is supposed to be the kind of love that lasts a lifetime, or does it? Tyler has made some seriously stupid mistakes in his life and they all revolve around him running from the one person who has loved him unconditionally. The one person who takes him back when he realises his mistakes, but now she is truly shattered and he is the one who has broken her. Addison needs to think about more than herself this time and realises that she can never, ever let him back into her life. He has left her nothing but a shell of her former self. What happens when Tyler returns to reclaim the woman he loves? Can he ever live with himself for breaking her? Can Tyler help Addison find herself again or is he too late? Can he convince her he is still the man for her? Can he convince her he has changed? Will Addison ever let Tyler back into her life?
I really enjoyed both of these characters but wanted to slap Tyler senseless at times and some times I could kiss him. Addison makes you just want to wrap your arms around her and make it all better. She has been through so much and Tyler’s latest stunt has left her numb and alone, even though she is surrounded by family. Each and every character in this series are all strong people and each have their own stories. As I stated with the first book the Parkers are a crazy, fun loving and dysfunctional family. But they work and they are there for one another, no matter the cost. Their bantering and their antics will keep you wanting more. Even though there is heartache and sadness as a family they can overcome everything.
Leigh Ann Lunsford is now one of my favourite authors as this series has fast become one of my favourites as well. I am now off to read book 3 so enjoy!!
Change of Heart by Jennifer L Allen is the first book in her Second Chances series. It is the second book by this writer that I have had a tremendous pleasure to read and she amazed me once again! Change of Heart is the story of Casey and Decker. It is a heartfelt story that you get enchanted with from the beginning and cannot let go! “We’re gonna be best friends.” This is how their story started, they were just six years old and already then Decker knew his mind! I absolutely loved how Jennifer weaves the tale, giving us glimpses of how Casey and Decker’s friendship grew and how they felt about each other. We go from the beginning of senior year to the graduation and then, boom … we meet them again, 3 years later not knowing why we have ‘lost’ all that time … This book, oh my goodness, it took me from crying my eyes out to yelling in my head at Casey to keeping my fingers crossed … It is incredible how wrong things can go when we do not communicate and take decisions thinking of the other person’s best! We do not know what is best for the other person! We need to let them to take the decisions that have such impact on their lives! I recommend this book of second chances to everyone, no matter the age! Have a box of tissues at hand as you will need them! I have already downloaded the second book on the series so I know who I will be spending my evening with!

Bonded: A Twisted Hearts Love Story by Autumn Sand
5 Stars
I just love this series, I love the characters so much and love that they are all in each book. This is the story of Brenda and Magnum and I couldn’t wait to read it after falling in love with Brenda in the previous book. These can be read as standalones, but you would be missing out on some great history if you don’t read them all in order.
Magnum and Brenda both have pasts that haunt them. They each have their own reasons for not getting involved with any kind of serious relationships. They have a connection through mutual friends and even went out a couple times which resulted in him not returning any calls and then nothing. They were each attracted to each other and if it hadn’t been for their pasts they probably would have pursued it further. When a family emergency brings Magnum to town and he runs into Brenda, his want for her returns but all he does is push it away. But when she receives a message from her tragic past he can’t help himself, he will protect her or die trying. Now if he could just get her to open up and let him in, but can he do the same? She knows he has serious demons and wants desperately to help him, but how can she when she’s battling her own? As the anniversary of her tragic past approaches, can Magnum get to the truth and save her in time? Can these two broken people get past their fears and tragic pasts and find their HEA?
This author has a way with molding her words around the best stories. She knows how to manipulate you into thinking you know what’s coming and I can just imagine her sitting there at her computer with an evil laugh as she knows she’s messing with your mind, and then there you are begging for more LOL She is a favorite of mine now and I will be stalking her waiting for word on what she has in store for me next.

The Wanderer (The Sin Bin #1) by Dahlia Donovan 4 out of 4 stars
This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Donovan, and the first book in this series, there should be a few more books to this series. You will need a box of tissue because I definitely had lots of tears with this one. Your drawn into these characters and their lives they were well written.
This M/M story is an emotional roller coaster ride from anything to anger to sadness that I have read of this gene in a long time and I am excited to read more from this author. Graham Hodson lives for adventure. His entire life has revolved around his obsessive wanderlust. His inner fear of staying in one place or being with one person for too long has kept him on the go. The last thing he expects is a sudden diagnosis to ground his travel permanently.
Boyce “BC” Brooks has screwed up his lifelong dream of being the captain of the English national rugby team. He’s lost everything. When his uncle leaves him an inn and a dog in Cornwall, he has little choice but to try his hand at innkeeper.
Can their walls be torn down or will they walk away from each other? Will they overcome their fears? Can these two jokesters that were kicked around by life and their own decisions find stability when their world shakes beneath their feet? I recommend this book and can’t wait to see what Ms. Donovan has in-stored for us next in this series…. By Tracy
This is Hugo’s story…oh my…which includes many flash backs to high school and his forever crush on Ava… We first met Hugo in the Enigma series but this can be read as a standalone. Oh Shandi Boyes! What have you done to my heart!?! Beneath the Secrets? Oh no you just created more secrets! Oh and that ending?! I have said this before in my reviews, there are some books that just make you say WTF did I just read…so yeah, right now, Shandi Boyes what the actual…did I just read!?! It wasn’t until after reading the Enigma series, that I learned that Hugo would have his own story told. Little did I know that Hugo’s story is huge! It starts when he was in high school, crushing on his little sister’s best friend, Ava. But being a player, he kept innocent Ava at arm’s length. Ava was raised by overly strict parents, with a father that bordered on mental abuse. Ava and Hugo’s friendship never falters over the years. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, at least for these two it does. However, lack of true communication, secrets and jealousy keeps them from getting a happily ever after, at least for now. Shandi Boyes is a great writer! Every one of her stories have had me turning page after page, non-stop! The male characters are swoon-worthy while the females are determined and strong. We all want someone to love while being loved right back and Ava is no different. “I want a man who has no qualms in showing his affection even with a house full of spectators. A man devoted solely and entirely to me. That is what I want and crave. That is what I deserve.” I recommend this story and am patiently (sort of) waiting for the next part of Hugo and Ava’s story!
I absolutely love thrillers and mysteries. Throw in a touch of romance and I am hooked. This story had my attention from the very first page until the very last word and most certainly did not disappoint!
Karen has done a fantastic job of weaving this story together, given the content, that certainly delivers a story on the darker side of life. Karen’s natural writing style flows easily and leaves a mark on you as you follow the many twists, turns and ups and downs of this dark and suspenseful, crime, romantic thriller. This story certainly touches on some themes that many may find extremely difficult but Karen has done a wonderful job when addressing and incorporating these issues.
Maxie Ford’s sister, Ella, was standing right in front of her, now she is gone, missing. Maxie’s own fears from the past come rushing back and she fears that history is repeating itself all over again. Maxie fears for the worst and when the police don’t seem to care she knows she is in a race against time to find her. With the help of her best friend, Tyler, Maxie ends up enlisting the help of a well known local drug lord, ‘Mickey Finn’ Donovan. As Maxie works alongside this man she is drawn into a world she never knew existed. A world where only those on the seedier side of life can survive but only if you know how. Throughout the story you find yourself on the edge of the seat with your heart in your throat as they are thrown into situations that are definitely scary and nerve-wracking.
I found myself cheering for Maxie and her new found gang and getting the job done. Watching those get their comeuppance definitely made me feel vindicated for those wronged. I was not always able to see what was coming and what did come often left me with goosebumps. This is definitely not a lighthearted romance story but I found myself looking at the drug lord with new found appeal. I enjoyed the story and look forward to reading more by Karen and the Angry Girl Crime Stories series.

Favor is from a famous football family. Her father is many young football players Hero. Her brother was a starting quarterback being molded to follow in his father’s footsteps. Favor has always felt like an outsider in her own family and when her brother was killed in a horrible car accident it shattered her because he was the only one that understood her. Attending college under her mother’s maiden name so that she wouldn’t be recognized for who she was she stayed away from anything football. Football ruins lives. She didn’t date football players and stayed away from the field. She had amazing friends but is just so sick of anything to do with football and still feels so empty without her brother. Then along comes Brice.
Brice is the starting quarterback for the Cougars, the college’s football team. He has always watched Favor from afar, he tried to ask her out once but she turned him down flat with “I don’t date football players” so he could only dream of her, but when his chance comes at a bonfire for the team he does all he can to win her over.
Favor can’t stop thinking about him, but she can’t give in can she? He is everything she has ever wanted, but stands for everything she hates. As Brice works his way into her life there are many obstacles that keep getting thrown at them. Secrets are kept and when they surface they could be a deal breaker. Can these two find a way over everything thrown at them and find trust and love?
This story is amazing and deals with so many things from family issues to how to forgive and trust. I loved the friendships and the twists and turns in this story. I have found myself reading a lot of this author’s work and I am never disappointed. Each of her stories really make you think and I just love all of her characters. Another great story, and another favorite!
